| Okay, hello everybody. | |
| You'll notice this is another short one. | |
| I've been putting these up lately just as little updates. | |
| Normally, as most of you know, we would have done an episode by now for what will be episode 39. | |
| That will likely be next week. | |
| So the reason why we don't have one this week and for one thing I want to remind everybody, no one pays for this but me. | |
| You know, this is a free show that we do not run any ads on. | |
| Uh no Patreon is yet again. | |
| Um yada yada. | |
| I am the only person that really does the hard work and the heavy lifting on the show. | |
| So all of that being said, I have had a wild ass two weeks that have nothing to do whatsoever with what's been going on in the world. | |
| Um you know, the Charlie Kirk shooting, not my bag doesn't affect me. | |
| Um the Jimmy Kimmel firing, again, not my bag doesn't affect me. | |
| You know, I I haven't I haven't dealt with anything personally out of those things aside from of course noticing them and you know putting in my two cents on blue sky and mastodon and wherever else. | |
| Um so yeah, I'm not really I'm not really into any of the noise surrounding all that shit, is what I'm saying. | |
| But we've had a really hectic two weeks at home over the last couple of weeks, and I have not had the time to devote to actually getting into the uh the nitty-gritty on this next episode aside from I have done some work on it, but I haven't done nearly uh what is required uh to my standards anyway for an episode. | |
| So we're not doing one this week. | |
| There will be one likely next week, um, you know, by next Friday, like likely um if I can manage to get everything together. | |
| Things have been crazy in our personal lives, and we've had to really like postpone and step back and reconfigure a bunch of shit. | |
| So you know, I just I I felt I do feel a personal responsibility to let our regular listeners know that we're not doing another hiatus, that's not what's going on. | |
| I'm not personally worried about my um you know, our personal safety or security or anything like that. | |
| You know, uh, especially not with this fucking FBI. | |
| I mean, come on. | |
| The FBI did not catch Charlie Kirk's shooter. | |
| He turned himself in. | |
| You know, for if when you get right down to it, he turned himself in. | |
| They were going, they were going nowhere with their with their their bureau work. | |
| So yeah, I I'm not really that I'm not that concerned about anything. | |
| I'm not concerned right now about having to do more against the um, you know, the the crackdown that they're trying to put on people for saying bad shit about someone who was a truly horrible person. | |
| You know, Charlie Kirk, yeah, I threw up some Simpsons memes where I was like, haha, you know, he's dead. | |
| I used a Prusty the Clown thing for that. | |
| I use I went over to Frankieak.com and made that happen. | |
| Um, but I don't really, you know, I watched the look, I watched the shooting death of Charlie Kirk until I got bored of watching it. | |
| Not that I was dancing on his grave so much. | |
| I was just trying to figure out like, man, could anyone even survive that? | |
| No, I don't think so. | |
| You know, it was um and plus I'd never really seen something quite like that. | |
| You know, I mean, he I don't think he would have survived that if he had been shot in front of a hospital. | |
| Like there was just so much blood loss. | |
| It was crazy. | |
| So yeah, I you know, I don't I don't feel like that's the way to go. | |
| You know, but at the same time as little bits of information trickle out on the shooter and his personal life and stuff. | |
| Um I think again, just like with the just like with the the attempt on Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. | |
| Yes, I am driving right now as I record this. | |
| Just like I I think on the attempt on Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, I believe that what happened with that was also a um you know a an attempt with an opportunity. | |
| I think had this had this guy not turned himself in, I don't know if his father and his grandfather would have done it because clearly they recognized the gun that was used. | |
| You know, I I think if he had gotten away, I think if the gun had if he had gotten away with the rifle, I and managed to keep his mouth shut, I don't think it would have been found. | |
| I think there would have been a lot more gas given to uh people like Candace Owens who were spouting off that you know, like I mean Charlie Kirk's body was barely even cold, and she was repeating conspiracy theories people were putting up about a plane that landed nearby that was only there for a private jet that was only there for a couple of hours and then took off again shortly after the killing with no other context behind it, | |
| you know, um, or very little context behind it. | |
| People were already spinning up conspiracy theories about it being a professional hit and all this other stuff. | |
| And Candace, I have not checked into her content over the last couple of days. | |
| Um I feel I'm gonna have to, I mean, of course I'm gonna have to go and listen to it because that's what I do, but I really want to I really wanted to give her a little bit of space before I did that because again, this is still a shocking event. | |
| You know, I I'm not personally concerned for myself or my family. | |
| Um I don't really you know I I'm not really concerned about that. | |
| I'm not concerned about like the cancel culture police on the alt hike coming for me or us. | |
| I don't, you know, that I've done enough I did enough work in the background before we ever started recording the show that I'm not worried about being outed right now or in the future much. | |
| There are always ways to get around you know the the system as it is. | |
| So I I do feel a little more vindicated because at first I was like, well, you know, we could we can maybe come back in December with a with a Patreon and you know, then I start seeing all this stuff going down and all of these people clearly joyful that they can now go after people for making a joke about Charlie Kirk's death or about Trump in relation to Charlie Kirk's death as what happened with uh Jimmy Kimmel. | |
| Yeah, Kimmel's not my favorite entertainer by far, but he um he didn't say anything out of hand really. | |
| I watched the the clip and it's available in various places. | |
| I'm not gonna link to it here, I'm just gonna record this and put it up. | |
| But Kimmel didn't do anything wrong. | |
| What he said about Trump about Trump in regards to Charlie Kirk was pretty tame, even by like Charlie Kirk's own standards. | |
| So, you know, that it's it's clearly just I think the the main the main theory that a lot of people have is that Kimmel was let go and the network was really looking for any reason to do it. | |
| Not because ABC necessarily wanted to do that, but because there's a um you know there's some sort of big ass merger going on with um with some ABC stations. | |
| That's basically it. | |
| I mean other places have done more more and better coverage on it than I would ever attempt to. |
