In San Francisco, anytime you turn on the news, there's something happening. | |
It's okay to steal. | |
People will come in and grab things and go, and that stuff doesn't even get reported to the police because police are so overwhelmed. | |
It's very hard for them to help, you know, when it's such a small dollar amount. | |
It seems like there's no consequences. | |
That's almost the message we're sending out in the media because nothing's being done. | |
And when you send that message out, children, they're growing up with this, what you're telling them is, if you take something under $950, it's okay. | |
Nothing will happen to you. | |
You won't go to jail. | |
That's a scary reality because, you know, as a new father, I don't want my kid to know that we need to teach them the difference between right and wrong and let them know it's not okay to take anything, even if it's $1. |
