Time Text
Well, it's official.
After more and more evidence has come to light, the Department of Justice has opened up a new investigation into Joe Biden's handling of classified documents, and they've even assigned a special counsel to lead that investigation.
However, it's become very apparent that the issue of the classified documents that have been found in Joe Biden's possession It's only the tip of the iceberg.
It's only the surface-level manifestation of a much deeper story.
A story that involves Hunter Biden, Ukraine, the Chinese Communist Party, the University of Pennsylvania, millions of dollars in questionable payments, as well as possibly the largest form of election interference that occurred during the midterm elections.
Which might sound hyperbolic, but it's not.
You see, the story actually began right here, with the iconic footage, taken from Mar-a-Lago about three months ago, showing the FBI raiding President Trump's home looking for classified documents.
That raid was national news for weeks, with news outlets across the whole country spending countless hours of airtime covering every minute detail of the raid, as well as speculating on what those classified documents might have contained.
And it was during that height of that media frenzy that Joe Biden went on 60 Minutes and slammed President Trump for being so, quote-unquote, irresponsible.
Here's a short snippet from that interview.
When you saw the photograph of the top-secret documents laid out on the floor at Mar-a-Lago, what did you think to yourself, looking at that image?
How that could possibly happen.
How anyone could be that irresponsible?
And I thought, what data was in there that may compromise sources and methods?
By that I mean names of people who helped, etc.
And it's just totally irresponsible.
But wouldn't you know it, just two short days ago, it was revealed that Joe Biden himself also had a number of classified documents, some of which were marked as being top secret hanging around in his private office.
You heard that right.
After leaving the White House in 2017, Joe Biden held onto these Obama-era classified documents, which were eventually found in a locked closet in Biden's private office at the Penn Biden Center in Washington, D.C. Essentially, Joe Biden, after leaving the vice presidency, held onto these classified documents, which were related to, among other things, Ukraine, Iran, and the United Kingdom.
And he kept those documents, among his personal belongings, in a closet and was essentially his think tank.
And the kicker was that these documents were only discovered when Biden's team was cleaning out the office in order to get it ready for the new tenants that were coming in.
It was only at that point, when they were cleaning out the office, when allegedly Biden's lawyer found the documents, realized that they were classified and or top secret based on their markings, and called out the National Archives.
Here's how CBS News described this whole chain of events.
The documents were discovered when Mr.
Biden's personal attorneys were packing files housed in a locked closet to prepare to vacate the office space at the Penn-Biden Center in Washington, D.C. The documents were contained in a folder that was in a box with other unclassified papers.
Now, besides the question of why Joe Biden was having his personal attorneys, who probably charge hundreds of dollars per hour, packing up his personal belongings rather than just general movers, there's a much bigger question here.
And it's a question that very few media outlets are asking.
Which is, what exactly is the so-called Penn-Biden Center?
The documents were discovered inside of that center, but what exactly is it?
And their answer might be a little bit surprising.
Because you see, shortly after leaving the White House in 2017, it was announced that Joe Biden was going to be joining the University of Pennsylvania.
As the Daily Pennsylvania reported, quote, However, here's the kicker.
Shortly after that announcement was made, Joe Biden's spokesperson came out and announced that Joe Biden will not actually be teaching any courses.
And so, what will he be doing?
Well, that was the million-dollar question, as was reported by the Daily Pennsylvania, quote, Two weeks after the announcement that former Vice President Joe Biden will join Penn as a professor, administrators, professors, and politically-minded students alike are still confused about the nature of his role at the university.
And so, what did he wind up doing?
Well, that was rather unclear.
During his time as a professor, Joe Biden made very few appearances at a few university events, and he had several onstage discussions with the president of the university, Ms.
Amy Gutmann.
And besides those few events, again, there were maybe a dozen in total, the only record of him coming even close to teaching was when he delivered a single lecture in 2018 to graduate students at the Wharton Business School.
However, despite not actually teaching anything, well, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer, between the years of 2017 and early 2019, Joe Biden was paid $900,000 by the university.
Although, quite frankly, if you ever listen to Joe Biden give a speech on the campaign trail or behind a lectern, you might believe that he was actually a full-time teacher.
For instance, here's a clip of Joe Biden on the 2020 campaign trail while he was down in South Carolina describing his work as a teacher.
I'm in a much different position.
When I got out of teaching, I mean, excuse me, when I got out of the United States Senate, instead of taking a Wall Street job, and they're not bad, but I'm not making them bad, but instead of doing the things that I never did before, I figured I wasn't going to change all these years of what I was comfortable doing.
So I became a teacher.
I became a professor, but here's the deal.
Then in April of this year, while speaking at a school in North Carolina, Joe Biden once again alluded to his position as a full professor.
Take a listen.
I've been on a lot of university campuses.
Matter of fact, for four years, I was a full professor at the University of Pennsylvania.
And this is really an impressive place.
But again, despite what he said in the speeches, according to the actual records, Joe Biden was made a professor.
He was paid $900,000 over the course of two years without teaching any classes at all.
And so the big question is what did the school actually get in return for their $900,000 investment?
Well, it appears that they got two things.
The first thing was the alleged prestige of being associated with a former vice president.
Here's in fact how the Philadelphia Inquirer explained it.
Quote, According to higher education experts, the school was likely paying for the prestige of associating with a former vice president and senator who had burnished his reputation as a global figure.
And that reputation as a global figure, well, it leads directly to the second thing that the university appears to have received by hiring Joe Biden, which was a windfall of Chinese investment.
Specifically, after Joe Biden came on as a professor and established the Penn Biden Center, the amount of donations coming to the university from China just skyrocketed.
In fact, I had an opportunity to sit down and speak with Mr.
Peter Schweizer, author of the book Red Handed, and he explained to me exactly the dynamics that were playing out behind the scenes here.
Take a listen.
When Joe Biden left the Vice Presidency in January 2017, he became a professor at the University of Pennsylvania, and they set up the Biden Center, the Biden Penn Center, to study global affairs.
And it's interesting, as soon as that happened, there was a huge spike in money coming from mainland China to the University of Pennsylvania.
Now, the Biden Center does not keep separate finances, so it's hard to know how much of the Chinese money ended up there.
In my mind, there's no question that there's a relationship between the launching of the Biden Center and the increased flow in Chinese money.
So what has the net effect been?
Well, one, if you look at the Biden-Penn Center, they talk about the study of global statesmanship.
So there's a nice picture of then-Vice President Joe Biden with President Xi of China.
That's kind of the picture that they disclose.
Then further down on the website, they disclose what are the chief threats that the United States is facing.
No mention of China.
The only three mentioned are climate change, Russia, and global terrorism.
You know, you certainly could say Russia and global terrorism represent a threat.
I mean, if you want to, you could say climate change if you believe in that.
But the notion that China does not represent a threat to the United States is absurd.
Because remember, the Obama-Biden administration actually did a pivot.
We actually redeployed military forces from Europe To Asia, precisely because it was recognized that China was a threat, but the Biden Center says nothing about that.
So that's another example of how the debate and the conversation on college campuses are being skewed, I would argue, because of the flow of Chinese money, in the case of Joe Biden, to his family, but also to the Biden-Penn Center.
Alright, the sponsor of today's episode is a phenomenal company called AMAC. That's A-M-A-C, and it stands for the Association of Mature American Citizens.

I'll also throw a link down in the description box below.
And so, circling back to our initial point, Joe Biden, after leaving the vice presidency and establishing this mostly ceremonial office within the University of Pennsylvania, where the only discernible benefit to the school was an influx of Chinese cash, well, somehow, it appears that a trove of classified documents followed him along.
But that's not the only interesting aspect, because there's also the question of timing.
The discovery of these documents was made on November the 2nd.
November 2nd, which was six full days before the midterm elections.
The U.S. government, including both the National Archives as well as the FBI and of course the DOJ, were made well aware of these documents almost a week prior to Election Day.
And yet somehow, it took them two full months to inform the rest of the public.
Which, according to a former lawyer with the House Overtight Committee that we here at the Epoch Times had a chance to speak with, well, this was directly a form of election interference.
Here's what he told us.
The documents were allegedly discovered on November 2nd.
The midterms are on November 8th.
To me, this is election interference by omission.
Why was this information not made public prior to the election?
It likely would have had substantial electoral salience.
People need to be aware that our elections, when things like this happen, are not free and fair.
Now, in terms of Joe Biden himself, when news of these initial documents being found at the Penn Biden Center began coming to light, he was down in Mexico at the North American Leaders Summit.
And when a reporter asked him about these documents, well, here was his response.
When my lawyers were clearing out my office at the University of Pennsylvania, they set up an office for me.
Secure office in the Capitol, the four years after being Vice President, I was a professor at Penn.
They found some documents in a box in a locked cabinet, or at least a closet.
And as soon as they did, they realized there were several classified documents in that box.
And they did what they should have done.
They immediately called the archives, immediately called the archives, Turned them over to the archives.
And I was briefed about this discovery and surprised to learn that there were any government records that were taken there to that office.
But I don't know what's in the documents.
My lawyers have not suggested I ask what documents they were.
I've turned over the boxes.
They've turned over the boxes to the archives.
And we're cooperating fully, cooperating fully with the review, and which I hope will be finished soon.
Okay, so that's all well and good.
Except for the fact that right after that initial batch, more classified documents were again discovered, this time in Joe Biden's private home.
Specifically, what allegedly happened was that after finding the initial batch of documents at the Penn Biden Center, Joe Biden's lawyers conducted a search of his personal residence over in Wilmington, Delaware.
And after doing so, the lawyers claimed to have discovered documents that contained classified markings in both a storage space in the garage as well as in a room that was adjacent to the garage.
Here was a statement that was released by Joe Biden's team shortly after making the discovery.
Following the discovery of government documents at the Penn Biden Center in November of 2022, the president's lawyers have searched other locations where files from his vice presidential office might have been shipped in the course of the 2017 transition.
During the review, the lawyers discovered among personal and political papers a small number of additional Obama-Biden administration records with classified markings.
And again, the lawyers claimed that after finding those documents, they immediately informed the Department of Justice.
Now, after this second batch of documents were discovered, Joe Biden, after coming back to America and speaking in Washington, D.C., took to the podium and he delivered these remarks.
Let me, I'm going to get a chance to speak on all this, God willing, soon.
But as I said earlier this week, people, and by the way, my Corvette's in a locked garage, okay?
So it's not like you're sitting out in the street.
But anyway, yes, as well as my Corvette.
But as I said earlier this week, people know I take classified documents and classified materials seriously.
Now, funny enough, we actually have a fairly clear picture of what the inside of that supposedly closed garage looks like.
That's because during the 2020 presidential campaign, Joe Biden shot this video here showing off his Corvette.
You think I'm kidding?
I'm not kidding.
Furthermore, besides the question of whether the garage was open or closed, there's a bigger security concern, which is the fact that Hunter Biden, Joe Biden's son, who had extensive business dealings with foreign actors, he appeared to have easy access to all these classified records.
How do we know that?
Well, simple.
On your screen is Hunter Biden's driver's license, showing his address to be the exact location where the documents were being stored.
Furthermore, here is also an application for a gun permit filled out by Hunter Biden, showing that not only does he live at that Wilmington, Delaware home, but that also he claimed to own the home, although for some reason, he also wrote that his monthly rent was $49,910.
Very unclear what that means as no mortgage can possibly be that high.
Regardless though, I know what you're probably thinking.
Hunter Biden might've lived at that particular location.
He might've lived in the house, but maybe the garage was off limits to him.
But that appears to not be the case because you see, back in 2016, Joe Biden appeared on an episode of Jay Leno's Garage, where he drove around the famous Corvette and spoke to the comedian.
And during the interview, Joe Biden mentioned that Hunter Biden had actually restored the vehicle to showroom condition.
Have you kept it in this condition?
Well, no.
My two sons, Bo, who's passed away, and my son Hunter, they decided as a Christmas gift to have the engine rebuilt for me.
Wow!
And so, there you have it.
Mr.
Hunter Biden, who is currently under federal criminal investigation for tax fraud, and who is soon to be subpoenaed by House Republicans in regards to his foreign business dealings, did in fact have access to the garage where Joe Biden was keeping the classified documents.
And so, with all this evidence piling up, just yesterday, Mr.
Merrick Garland, who is of course the head of the Department of Justice, Earlier today, I signed an order appointing Robert Herr a special counsel for the matter I've just described.
The document authorizes him to investigate whether any person or entity violated the law in connection with this matter.
The special counsel will not be subject to the day-to-day supervision of any official of the department, but he must comply with the regulations, procedures, and policies of the department.
This appointment underscores for the public the department's commitment to both independence and accountability in particularly sensitive matters.
And to making decisions indisputably guided only by the facts and the law.
Now, the special counsel assigned to this particular case is Mr.
Robert Hur, who was previously assigned by President Trump to be the U.S. Attorney for Maryland.
And so now, this country has sort of a fascinating situation, where the Department of Justice currently has two special counsels investigating both the current sitting president as well as his predecessor for the very same crime.
Although, it is worth mentioning that there is a big distinction between these two different cases, between Joe Biden and Donald Trump, because while President Trump was in office, he did have the sole authority to declassify documents.
And that's the defense that he's making in his case.
His argument is that he declassified the documents prior to taking them home.
Now, whether that's true or not, that is his argument at least.
However, during the Obama administration, Joe Biden was the vice president, and therefore he had no authority to declassify anything.
He could not declassify any documents.
And so he cannot use that same argument, because as a matter of course, he had no authority to either declassify the documents or to keep them after his term in office.
Regardless, though, besides the Department of Justice investigation, which has now been officially opened with that special counsel, the House of Representatives, which is now controlled by Republicans, are also taking steps to get to the bottom of what was actually happening here.
That's because just yesterday, the House Oversight Committee opened an investigation into these classified documents as well.
The chairman of that committee, Congressman James Comer, he announced the opening of this probe and wrote this in a letter that was addressed to the White House and, of course, to Joe Biden's team.
The committee is concerned that President Biden has compromised sources and methods with his own mishandling of classified documents.
To assist committee Republicans in investigating President Biden's recent mishandling of classified information, please provide the following documents and information no later than January 24th of 2023.
Then in the letter, the congressman goes on to list five different types of information that he's requesting, including all documents retrieved from Joe Biden's personal office at the Penn Biden Center, all internal communications within his team regarding those documents, a list of people who had access to President Biden's personal office, all communications related to the handling of the classified material once it was found by the lawyers, as well as all communication records between the White House, the Department of Justice, and or the National Archives.
And so, we'll just have to wait and see what these two investigations, one from the Department of Justice and one from the House Oversight Committee, actually reveal.
Meaning that just like with the never-ending Durham investigation, we all can now wait on the edge of our seats for some accountability.
Although, we might be waiting for a long time.
