Our top story today from thegatewaypund.com, an electric vehicle failure left 21 people injured.
We're covering this story and so much more here on the Gateway Pundit's Week in Review.
My name is Elijah Schaefer, and this is the Week in Review, where we cover the top five stories of the last 24 hours in around 10 minutes.
Our top story today from thegatewaypund.com, explosive EV failure in a packed garage leaves 21 hospitalized.
Jared Harris of the Western Journal reports.
The fiery failure of an electric vehicle led to countless other cars being damaged and caused conditions hostile enough to send nearly two dozen people to the hospital.
The devastating incident unfolded on the morning of August 1st as an electric Mercedes-Benz EQE caught fire while parked in an underground garage below Incheon's South Korea apartment complex.
The vehicle was not charging or running when ignited.
According to Korea Jongyang Daily, the fire department received nearly 200 calls while the fire spread and belched black smoke into the sky.
In total, 177 first responders arrived to fight the fire and handle the evacuation to the complex.
Despite the massive response, it took emergency crews eight hours to extinguish the blaze completely.
In total, 106 people were recused or rescued as smoke filled the area and another 103 others were evacuated.
No deaths were reported, but 21 people were sent to the hospital with injuries sustained during the fire.
Several children and a firefighter were among those hospitalized.
A surveillance video from the garage showed white smoke streaming from the Mercedes.
An explosion followed a few seconds later, igniting the blaze.
watch obviously this goes to show you that electric vehicle technology still has a long ways to go especially in battery development And so before we all switch over to these explosive and dangerous machines, maybe we should continue to drive our motor vehicles.
Our next story from thegatewaypundant.com.
You have to watch this to believe it.
Joe Biden throws Kamala Harris under the bus, says that she is also responsible for current dumpster fire economy as she desperately tries to distance herself from his policies.
Christina Lila reports, Joe Biden on Tuesday stopped to chat with reporters on the south lawn of the White House as he departed en route to New Orleans.
Biden is traveling to Louisiana to deliver remarks at a cancer moonshot event.
After hiding from the public, Biden shuffled out of the White House, took four questions before hobbling over to Marine One.
One reporter asked Biden if he would attend a Trump inauguration.
He says, I have good manners, not like him, Biden said.
Another reporter asked Biden about his latest threat to Trump and whether calling him a danger to America's security was lowering the temperature of political rhetoric.
That's a statement of fact, Biden replied.
Biden responded to criticism from the team Trump about Kamala Harris being more liberal than Biden.
Joe Biden threw Kamala Harris under the bus and said that she's also responsible for the current dumpster fire of the economy.
RNC Research published this video, but you have to hear it for yourself.
Listen.
unidentified
And he responded to criticism from Team Trump about Kamala Harris being more liberal than Biden.
his response.
The issues we've worked on together have made great progress economically.
It's a good policy.
elijah schaffer
So that's where it's going.
Ah, well, they've, of course, been trying to distance themselves from the Biden campaign, but he's saying, look, she's actually responsible for all the economic hardships that you're going through every single day.
Think about that.
She's responsible for that.
Are you ready to accept that?
Well, I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions down below.
Our next story, a new low-even for CNN, far-left host Dana Bash lies about Trump and Musk conversation on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, but she got caught.
Check this out.
CNN host Dana Bash was caught lying about Elon Musk and Donald Trump's discussion on the nuclear attacks in Hiroshima and Nagasaki and nuclear energy during their historic Twitter space on Monday night.
The Trump Musk Twitter XP shattered all records with over 1 billion combined mentions in the first 12 hours.
It was truly historic.
So, Dana Bash and CNN did what they had to do to tear both men down.
Add to what?
Openly lie about their conversation.
We have a bit of this clip here.
I want you to listen for yourself.
Here's what she had to say.
Watch.
dana bash
I want to play one exchange that was kind of classic.
unidentified
Well, there were a lot of exchanges that were classic Donald Trump, but this one really stuck out to us and Nagasaki were bombed, but now they're like full cities again.
Exactly not.
That's something that, you know, it's not as scary as people think, basically.
dana bash
So that was more Elon Musk than Donald Trump talking about sort of suggesting that what happened almost 80 years ago, I think 80 years ago next year, the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, now it's okay.
Kind of trying to blow.
elijah schaffer
Yeah, that's what one user explained here in this bombshell, right?
They said, hey, look, CNN's Dana Bash, Ryan Saavedra, blatantly lied about Trump and Musk's conversation last night.
She falsely claimed that Musk and Trump said that it was okay to drop nuclear weapons on Japan.
Audio from their talk last night shows that is not at all what they were talking about.
They were talking about using nuclear power to generate electricity and how even there's been accidents.
It's eventually safe to move back to those areas, as evidenced by Hiroshima and Nagasaki are both thriving cities now.
Also, historians and military officials have said that far more people would have died if the U.S. did not drop the atomic bombs on Japan because the U.S. would have had to invade Japan and more American soldiers and Japanese would have died as a result.
But of course, we leave it up to CNN to be full of crap and full of lies.
Our next story: hundreds of families are forced to vacate from a Colorado apartment complex after Kamala Harris's Venezuelan migrant gang members take over the building.
Christina Lila reports: Kamala Harris's America, an apartment complex in Aurora, Colorado, is closing after Kamala Harris's Venezuelan migrant gang, known as Trende Aragua, if that's even how you say it, took over the building.
Hundreds of families were forced out of their apartment units thanks to Kamala Harris's dangerous open borders policies.
Many of the evicted families are struggling to find new homes.
The city of Aurora tried claiming the apartment buildings is being shut down due to code violations.
However, a city council member says that's a lie.
We're not buying this, said Aurora City Councilwoman Danielle Jarinski.
We believe that, yes, there are code violations, but this started because of a gang takeover.
That's what we believe.
The task force is investigating Trend de Aragua's connection to Aurora apartment complex.
It's Araguas.
I don't know how to pronounce that, guys.
The Aurora Police Department, in partnership with the Raven Task Force, has assigned four detectives to a special task force that includes additional local, state, and federal partners to investigate violent crime impacting our migrant community, said an Aurora Police Department spokesperson last week.
Crime is rampant at the apartment complex due to Kamala Harris's Venezuelan gang members.
And according to statistics provided by an Aurora City spokesman, calls for service at 1568 Nome Street have increased in recent years.
In 2022, APD investigated 41 crimes at the site.
In 2023, police investigated 84 crimes.
And as of July 31st, officers have investigated 66 crimes, the property so far this year.
Denver 7 reported.
So it looks like these migrant gangs are causing more than just, you know, minor inconveniences.
In fact, just the New York Post came out today and explained that they're actually causing over $5 billion of damages.
Insane.
To the New York taxpayer.
And that doesn't even include what's happening in every other state, like in Colorado.
Our last story laments the collapse of once great states in the United States.
California is back on the chopping block here as the last remaining Denny's in San Francisco is forced to close because of Dinon Dashers.
Michael Chance reports that the last remaining Denny's restaurant in San Francisco has closed its doors forever.
The restaurant owners claim that customers constantly ate and left the establishment without paying and that they got no support from the city.
Denny's now joins the ranks of dozens of companies that have pulled their retail outlets from the crime-ridden city.
The last Denny's in Oakland, California closed their doors back in February, also because of crime.
This is what progressive governance looks like.
This is what Kamala Harris and Waltz want to bring to the rest of the country.
But I remind you, they just raised $12 million at a fundraiser in San Francisco while businesses can't even keep their doors open because of rampant crime.
This is sort of the dystopian divide that happens between our nation when elites take over.
It's not that the rich don't stay rich or that there isn't some luxury and decadence to get involved in.
It's just that the rest of the people suffer.
The last remaining Denny's in San Francisco closed its doors this month because customers would frequently leave without paying their bill in Crime Plague City, according to the owner.
Chris Hack shuttered the 24-hour diner at 816 Mission Street near the Union Square section on August 1st after 25 years.
We're the only store left and we operate until the last day that we could.
Cost of doing business is tremendous.
There's vandalism and people come and eat and walk away and there's no one to stop them.
Hack also lamented the fact that a key source of revenue, business conventions, had dried up in recent years due to the tech industry shifting to hybrid work during the pandemic.
It's a beautiful city.
We love it.
We have been here so many years, but I think city officials should make it more business friendly and maybe more friendly to human beings.
I mean, I love South Orange County, don't get me wrong.
And a lot of California is rural and quite beautiful.
But these large cities, you know, especially watching San Diego's decline, San Francisco's decline, Los Angeles, it is heartbreaking.
For the Gateway Pundit, I'm Elijah Schaefer.
Thank you so much again for watching the week in review.
Have a great rest of the week and may God bless the United States of America.
