This weekend, we confronted the far-left activist group Antifa in the streets of Washington, D.C. Of course, to nobody's surprise, this peaceful group of protesters absolutely led a riot in the streets of Washington, D.C., tearing down public trash cans, ripping apart newspaper stands, and then using them to set up barricades in the middle of public intersections, blocking traffic in peak hours.
All right, so basically we start with this article from The Blaze.
And of course, it matters to me because I work with the Blaze and we help report on these events.
And it's titled Antifa Battling Police, Attacking MAGA Hats in DC, and it's all being caught on camera.
Now, what's interesting about this title is that yes, all of this is happening.
It's being caught in camera, but it's not being actually caught by the police.
Now, the police are there at all these events.
They're absolutely watching.
And I thank the police officers for doing their best to keep peace.
But of course, to my surprise, I watched Antifa actually assault people, hit people, throw projectiles into the crowd, watch them hit cars and vandalize cars, destroy public property, and they actually took over the streets of DC all while the police just stood by and watched.
I'm getting tired of this.
I want to talk to you a little bit about what exactly happened.
So we arrived right here, and you see, like, this is just a crappy picture.
But we arrived in the streets of Washington, D.C.
And basically, very shortly after we arrived, if you see right here, there's this group called Jam City Anti-Fascist Action, which was one of the main Antifa groups that was present there.
And of course, they had it tagged all out DC, which was the name of this counter protest.
This person is a propagandist like Andy No.
He's usually active in California and operates a channel.
So if you see right here, I don't know who Photoshopped this, but that's me.
I look pretty good.
I'm wearing my tights and my shirt got my typical mic and they're pointing to me.
Now, what's interesting about this is that this account that targeted me actually got taken down by Twitter for harassment because they actually called for violence towards me and my producer while we were there, just because we were asking people questions.
Now, here's where it kind of gets crazy.
Okay, so number one, why did they target us?
So this entire protest was taking place.
There was a divider between the left and the right sides.
There was a right-wing free speech rally that was taking place in Freedom Plaza, which is a couple blocks away from the White House.
And then there was an anti-fascist, anti-white supremacy, Black Lives Matter protest taking place.
And I was one of the first people to really jump inside the crowd.
Now, the reason why I was able to get inside the crowd is that I was told by their coordinators of the anti-fascists that I was not allowed to enter into the counter protest because they were given permission to deny press on their permits.
So of course, I knew this probably wasn't true.
And I went and I spoke to the lieutenant of Parks and Recreation and also Capitol Police.
And they told me I had every right to step place and step foot inside of the protests.
I just needed to let them know that I was actual press since we are licensed press in the United States.
And so when I walked in, what's really, really crazy, I think, let me see where this is.
This is like, it's somewhere right here.
Okay, here it is.
A man approached us and handed us this paper, which was guidelines for the press.
And he told us we weren't allowed to film, but we had, but we could be in the area if we agreed to these terms, which state all out DC guidelines for the press.
Number one, please avoid taking pictures or videos of people's faces without their explicit stated consent.
Okay, this sounds like a college sex frat party, right?
PSA.
Please ensure that you have explicit consent before capturing auto recordings or directly quoting interviewees.
Number three, be aware that photographs or videos can be used as evidence in court.
Please avoid publishing any potential incriminating photos or video footage and be prepared to maintain your journalistic integrity if your raw footage, unpublished photos, or notes are sought through a subpoena.
Number four, certain areas of the permitted area are flagged as no filming photo zones.
Refrain from filming in those area.
Members of the media who refuse to comply with these reasonable guidelines will be removed from the permitted protest area.
Media liaisons are marked with orange tape.
If you have any questions or need help arranging interviews, please work with them.
Okay, so this is just ironic, man.
You have anti-fascists literally trying to control the media.
And what was really great is the guy said, well, you can't record people without their permission.
I said, well, their faces are blocked, so it doesn't really matter.
Number two, he said, well, why are you recording the drama on the outside?
Why don't you record the music on the inside?
And I said, well, then wouldn't that require me to go into your protest?
And the guy was like, well, yes.
And he was very nervous.
And we kind of went back and forth for a while.
After seeing these guidelines, I said, well, we're fine here, man.
I mean, I'm not going to abide by these guidelines, but I think we're on the same page.
I'm just here to record what's going on.
And he says, yeah, but you know what?
You're just, you're challenging people and it's making people uncomfortable.
And I said, isn't that the media's job?
Isn't it our job to actually make people uncomfortable?
Like by challenging the narrative?
I said, would you be mad at Jim Acosta from CNN for challenging Donald Trump?
And the guy was like, oh, okay.
Well, he was really nervous because obviously the police were on our side.
And then he doesn't, and then we end up going in.
So we start filming the Antifa and they're like, you're not allowed to be here.
They try, they go, get that camera out of my face.
And they try to grab my microphone.
And I told them, dude, this is not a camera.
This is a microphone.
These guys are so unintelligent.
They can't even tell the difference between a microphone and a camera.
And then this is my favorite part too.
And these videos are going to be released this week.
These black-blocked, SWAT-geared little tiny, impish soy boy people come over and they're like, you can't be filming here.
I said, the lieutenant told me that I can film here.
He goes, I am a lieutenant.
Like in the most cracky, like just beta voice you could ever imagine.
So no matter how much armor this poor boy put on, it couldn't strengthen his vocal cords.
You know what I'm saying?
He just, he was, he was weak from the inside out and he can try to look cool.
But every time you talk like Iago from Aladdin, I'm not entirely sure that you're someone who should be bossing someone who's six foot two and 220 pounds around.
It's actually quite comical.
I'm like about a foot and a half above most of these guys.
I can't tell if they're men or women.
But anyways, we're in this idea.
And they start, because we wouldn't leave, they start posting texts and tweets basically targeting us, which ended up leading, like I mentioned earlier, to their accounts getting deleted.
Because if you know what they did to Andy No is they actually sort of like like genuinely destroyed him.
He's currently being readmitted.
He was a sort of a journalist for Quillette and he was gay, which doesn't really matter an Asian, but it is funny because they claim to be protecting minorities and LGBTQ, but they attack them if they're conservative.
At least that's what they thought Andy No was.
And he actually got readmitted into the hospital today for brain hemorrhaging and complications from their attacks.
These people are violent.
And, you know, we're going to see not only was it here, but, you know, Will Witt, I was there with Will Witt from Prague or U. Maybe you know him, maybe you don't.
And Will Witt just filmed this video right here, which is great, which is the Antifa guy.
He was trying to burn a flag, but he didn't know how to use matches.
He couldn't get the flag to burn.
Like he couldn't even get the actual flag lit.
So this is who we're up against for people who want to burn flags and can't even burn them.
Then you have like, this is a video here.
Watch this.
The police just pushed the Antifa down when they rushed police lines.
No arrests.
No arrests.
This is what was making me so mad.
These Antifa were assaulting officers and not getting arrested.
They were just shoving them to the floor.
And of course, because they're light and it's easy to shove them.
But doesn't it just kind of piss you off that these officers, which I'm sure are not too happy with being assaulted, are allowed to be assaulted on public property simply because Democrats who run DC are obviously telling these people to stand down.
We've seen this already in Portland.
It's been proven.
We've seen this in Berkeley is that administrators and the council aren't telling the police not to get involved.
But it's like, literally, here's one of my favorite people, by the way, this girl right here.
She was like a shimlord shimshi kind of person.
And she wore a gay flag as a dress and a pentagram necklace out of bondage BDSM cords.
And it's like, these are the people that are claiming to fight for like good, you know?
These are the people.
Like, you have this normal guy.
It's like a Trump guy right here.
He's just like a normal guy, clean haircut, wearing a USA t-shirt, nothing wrong.
And then like, what is going on here?
And I'm not into ad hominem attacks, but like, what the hell is this?
Let me zoom in here.
unidentified
Like.
elijah schaffer
What the hell is going on with this person?
You know, I mean, God, you know, all the power to you for looking like this, but it's gross.
And, you know, and that's what was tripping me out is these people were literally running through the streets attacking people.
And, you know, it goes actually a step further is as they were blocking off the corridors, police were kicking up the barricades and moving them and just telling the Antifa to move along in the streets.
And I'm really proud of the video that we're going to be releasing in two parts over the next following weeks documenting what actually happened.
What we're seeing here is the foundation of American justice break down because anti-fascist left-wing activists are being heralded and praised as true fighters of freedom and somehow, I guess, emboldened by the fact that they aren't getting arrested for committing felonies in the public.
And while I was there, it's kind of funny now.
I'm kind of proud actually that we're now targeted by them.
Their official hit list doxing site.
We got a whole page written on us now, which apparently I'm really happy got taken down actually because it was on Twitter.
And we got them to take it down because it was kind of dumb.
They were like, look, he was with Stefan Molyneux, but they spelled his name Steven, even though the video's title that they screen captured spelled it Stefan.
They couldn't even read the title.
They misspelled it.
And they also said, look, my favorite part is this one tweet that we were at right here, which said that this person, he's usually active in California and operates a channel.
It's like, dude, these Antifa are so stupid.
I'm a public figure.
My identity is basically known for everybody.
And their intel was that I run a channel.
Not even where I run a channel, not even what kind of channel, just that I run one.
You know, and I'm usually operating in California.
Like, why don't you just Google me and you can find more information about me?
But these jerks are so stupid, but it got dangerous.
We had to get out.
We got police escorted a couple times.
It was pretty awesome.
But you tell me what you think.
Do you think that these people are anti-fascist or do you feel like they are part of more of the problem?
And do you feel like, you know, the police standing down is emboldening them?
Or do you think it's just part of the Democrat process?
I'm Elijah Schaefer here with another episode of the Daily Dose, just giving you background action on what's actually been happening in the world and what it's on the record that might not be talked about in the general public.
Hopefully you have a nice day.
