Okay, guys, today we're going to talk about the Supreme Court and nominee, Katenji Brown Jackson.
I thought it was sort of interesting, and watching some of the confirmation process, I saw this clip of Senator Hirono of Hawaii, known partisan hack liberal, but, like, she literally says, In her response to, I guess, Jackson's opening remarks, they have implied that you were solely nominated due to your race.
Your nomination is not about filling a quota.
It's about time that we had a highly qualified, highly accomplished black woman serving on the Supreme Court.
Some of my Republican colleagues and public figures have attempted to undermine your qualifications through their pejorative use of the term affirmative action.
And they have implied you were solely nominated due to your race and not for other factors.
Apparently, some have even claimed that you need to show your LSAT scores to determine whether you are a top legal mind.
This is incredibly offensive and condescending.
Let me be clear. Your nomination is not about filling a quota.
It is about time.
It's about time.
That we have a highly qualified, highly accomplished black woman on the Supreme Court.
It's about time our highest court better reflects the country it serves.
It's about time that black women and girls across the You're right.
Nobody is implying that she was nominated simply because of her race.
Joe Biden literally said it.
He literally campaigned on it.
Well, I'm looking forward to appointing the first African-American woman to the United States Senate.
Right? So your nomination isn't about filling a quota.
It's about making sure that there's at least one black woman on the court for Senator Hirono.
Seems like an odd way of saying that you're not a quota.
Something that people are criticizing them.
Biden literally said he was filling a quota.
She's probably still qualified, possibly.
I don't know. I don't know anything about it.
I know there's, you know, strange rulings that I don't like as a conservative, but probably maybe more in line with Democrat thoughts these days as it relates to, you know, leniency on sentencing of pedophiles and stuff like that.
But, you know, we should be asking these questions and maybe not go full Kavanaugh like the Democrats do, because I'm sure we'll get into decency later because, you know, they'll be bringing that up because that's textbook.
But she was literally picked to fit a certain identity as laid out by the President of the United States.
That's what he did. So Senator Hirono totally contradicts herself because she said, it's not about this, but it's time we have this.
But again, hypocrisy isn't lost on anyone who's been watching the Democrats.
So Joe Biden promised to nominate a black woman to the court, and he did.
That makes up probably about 5% of the population of the United States.
So maybe she is the most qualified, but Probably doesn't strike the most confidence if the other 95% of the population was not even considered.
So, you know, I don't know what to do about this, guys.
It's sort of insane. It's a little bit nuts, but again, we should be used to that hypocrisy.
Just wait till they start making it all about race.
Wait till they totally neglect everything they did to Kavanaugh, because you know it's coming, folks.
