It's found in this minority who has lived through the last year of nothing but rules being broken, people being put down, questions not being answered, and this majority say, be damned with anything else.
We're going to impeach and do whatever we want to do.

Because we won an election.

Just wanted to, today, with everything coming out of the elections, I want to just take a quick break because I think one of the things, and we've discussed it earlier this week about the New Hampshire primaries and everything, where we go from here, but I wanted to spend today looking at a few stories that, frankly, are getting overlooked.
And they have significance in the election process.
And so let's go to this after the break.
I want to bring in a few issues to discuss disinformation, discuss the media's role, discuss foreign affairs, which typically is not as big an issue in a Republican or a Democratic election.
Primary, but especially a general as well.
It has to be special conditions for that to actually occur.
And then just the media censorship that we're seeing across the spectrum here that I think is going to possibly affect the election.

Let's dig into a few things that over the past week or so that have came up that just really amaze me as we discuss, you know, frankly, the issues that are going on and how the media portrays them, okay?
This is something that is a...
Issue we've got to deal with.
It's an issue of how we move in it, how we work with it, however you want to call it, if you would, is what is going on with the media and how they are reporting certain things.
And also, frankly, how our Department of Justice is handling certain issues.
Now, we have a report.
And I'm trying to be very...
I'm not saying kind here.
I'm just being honest here.
I'm trying to figure out a way to actually put this in perspective that we have seen over the last little bit in the Hunter Biden issue.
How's the best way to put this?
Hunter Biden and his laptop.
The Hunter Biden laptop has been...
Put out, denied, lied about, hid, obfuscated, however you want to discuss it, for going on three years now.
The FBI has known about this.
They have covered it up.
They have directed attention.
They have allowed the White House to call it Russian disinformation.
They have allowed Democrats to trash anybody who wants to mention the Hunter Biden laptop.
In fact, even going as far as banning social media posts, having social media ban posts about the Hunter Biden laptop.
Why is this important?
And I'm not going to get into the salacious details of the Hunter Biden laptop, the pictures, the drugs, the guns, the prostitutes, you know, everything.
Why it matters is if you cannot trust the Department of Justice in this country to be honest about its role in The issues that we face,
if we cannot take them at their word that they are an honest broker when it comes to how they not only investigate, but how they deal with issues, then how can anybody be assured that they will get a fair shake in our justice system?
The Hunter Biden laptop goes to the whole discussion of government involving themselves in a political campaign, in a political discussion.
We go back and we see this not just in the Hunter Biden laptop, which is now, by the way, the reason I'm bringing this up, as I just said, is that the FBI, through filings in a court case, have confirmed that, yes, the Hunter Biden laptop is real.
It is actually Hunter Biden's.
It is actually the information on it is not disinformation.
It is real.
Now, it's three years into this, reams of paper have been written about the Hunter Biden laptop.
It's been all over the internet, it's been all over TV, it's been all over everything, and yet now, after doing everything except being forthcoming, the FBI has finally said, yes, the Hunter Biden laptop is real.
Now, they've indicated this in certain areas before, but this is more of a definitive saying, yes, it all is real.
Let me just for a second, imagine if there was a Don Jr. laptop, an Eric laptop, any other kid of Donald Trump's laptop, and this kind of stuff was on it, it would have never been in the position that the Hunter Biden laptop was in.
It would have been on the front pages of every, quote, mainstream media.
It would have been talked about.
There would have been uproar.
And the Department of Justice would be just all up in arms about making sure that anything that could be charged would be charged in it.
But due to the political bias that seems to be reaching into the Department of Justice, they have not been forthcoming about this laptop because of the damaging, not only stuff that it had on Joe Biden's son, but also how it affected the election in 2020 if it came out as being real, which it was.
In fact, they suppressed it the month before the election.
We have seen polling data from folks that said if they had known this laptop was out there, which, by the way, they kept it from the public, known it was there and the information was on it, would it have affected your vote in the presidential election between Joe Biden and Donald Trump?
The answer overwhelmingly was yes.
It would have affected my vote.
This goes even beyond.
This goes back to the Russian collusion hoax, the Mueller investigation, the whole issue of how Hillary Clinton's emails were handled.
This is just something that continues to build and build and build.
This is where distrust comes from, folks.
This is why...
It is brought up.
And I hear people all the time say, well, just, you know, we know it's real.
Quit talking about it.
You know, let's just move on.
Well, how can you move on when the very agencies that you're supposed to trust, if the FBI knocks on your door, you're supposed to be able to know that they're either, if they're there to help you, they're there to help you.
And if they're there to arrest you, they're there to arrest you.
And the lines can't be blurred in between.
That if you have a better political pedigree, or if you have a dad that is a highly elected official, or anything else that you're going to get special treatment, or if you're just an average citizen from an average town on an average street in the middle of nowhere, and you do something, then they're going to treat you differently.
That's just not the way it should be.
And that's why people on both left and right are very upset at the government.
The crazy part for me is how some on the left still believe the government needs to do more to actually do this kind of stuff, to censor this kind of material, to actually go after political opponents.
Again, it's not the Republicans that are doing this.
And this is the story that has just been amazing to me over time.
It is not the Republicans that are using the Department of Justice to go after their political opponents.
You don't believe me?
There's just a story just this past week breaking that financial institutions working with the government were flagging purchases that said that if you had any term of MAGA, Trump, or more, they were monitoring transactions at stores like Cabela's, Bass Pro Shops, and other purchases linked to religious texts such as Christian Bibles were flagged under the guise of preventing extremism.
I mean, where are we at in this country?
Why is there...
What happened to the ACLU? Do they exist anymore?
Or only they exist for liberal causes.
Now, occasionally they piked in on a couple of these...
One of these Trump issues as well on the gag order.
But you don't ever see them.
They are only a left-landing organization now.
They do not protect all speech.
They could care less about protecting all speech.
And yet millions of dollars is continuing to be pumped into them.
Why is there not an ACLU statement out saying this is the type of tactics you see in other countries, not in the United States of America?
Why are you flagging my...
Information here.
We just had a report of a credit union here in Georgia that said that you cannot use your credit union account for purchases of guns and other things.
They list a whole listing out there of the normal, you know, can't commit crimes, that kind of stuff.
But guns and other products were listed that you're not supposed to buy using that account.
If you don't think this is real, folks, then don't take my word for it.
I've always said here on the Doug Collins Podcast, I will give you the information that I have, that I've looked at, that I trust.

But at a certain point in time, you can't, if you're not believing how much the government is spying on you, then you've got a problem.
And then we're not even getting into the fact of the FBI using the time and talents that it has on parents at school board meetings.
We know that they were coordinating between the teachers unions and coordination between who they were going to go after and who they were not and taking parents as being subversives and extremists.
When they were simply going to school board meetings and many times very frustrated because they were seeing their young daughters and young sons being allowed to be in the same dressing rooms and not being told and then hiding the fact that a student attacked another student in this situation.
These are all real events.
And yet the Hunter Biden laptop seems to be the touchstone, the Holy Grail, the Excalibur sword that nobody wants to touch.
But it's sort of like, to me, it speaks to the whole issue of what we're doing.
If you can't trust the government justice system, what can you trust?
And then you see it being used in other states, and especially like the New York case, in which you have the justices' lawfare, as it's become known as, against Donald Trump in a fraud case, a consumer protection statute being used against Donald Trump, in which the banks in which he borrowed the money,
who had their own cadre of lawyers, Longer than most people, you know, could wrap around most people's houses who look over every detail of financial statements and every detail of projects before they'll ever lend money, came in and said, yes, we did that.
We discounted some of the appraisals.
We still gave him money.
He made, we made money on the project and would give him more money.
And yet you have a judge who is just absolutely, undoubtedly so blinded by the spotlight and the passion to get Donald Trump along with Letitia James, the attorney general in New York, who says, He was guilty of fraud.
Who is guilty of fraud when there is no fraud committed?
The only fraud is this court.
It's never been used before in this type of situation.
Letitia James has a rampant problem of crime running across many parts of New York and this is what she spends time with.
The Hunter Biden laptop just goes back to show that you've been lied to.
Willingly lied to.
Will anybody be held accountable?
Probably not.
And I think that's the problem that we're seeing.
And people are just tired of it.
So, for all of you elite pundits out there who've been watching this and saying, how does America trust Donald Trump and how would America not do that?
Well, it's very simple.
When you've been lied to and you've been told that you don't matter, which is what the Biden administration has been saying to all you, quote, MAGA extremists, and they don't stop at Donald Trump.
They say all Republicans are MAGA extremists.
And that they're the only ones that have the best view of this country, then that's why, folks.
MSNBC, NBC, CBS, all of you, ABC, you quote mainstream press, Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Washington Post, all of you, if you would just get out of your bubble and go listen to real people.
And see what they're seeing and hear what they're talking about, then maybe, just maybe, you wouldn't be so willing to trust the government.
I always thought that the media was supposed to be that, quote, fourth estate that y'all always talk about.
I don't see it.
You look at the newsletters coming out of D.C., the Politico newsletters, and I use Politico in the generic term, but Politico does have one.
But you have all these political newsletters that really basically serve each other for media, promoting media.
But if you look at what they program, how they report on it, or how they start out reporting on it, it's just, again, I don't mind if we have a different opinion.
I do mind.
You're entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts.
And folks, this is getting worse all the time.
Let's look at a couple other things.
The Houthi rebels in Yemen, the Iranian-backed militias that are constantly attacking our Troops and our locations over 130, over 140 plus times by now.
This is getting bad.
And we had our consulate right next to our consulate was part of a missile barrage by the Iranian Republican Guard.
They don't make any bones about it.
It was them.
It was not even one of their proxy groups that did this.
And then you have Pakistan, who's actually coming in and actually did an airstrike into Iran.
Folks, if you don't think this is getting bad, then you need to wake up.
And the problem is we have a Commander-in-Chief who is seemingly asleep at the wheel.
And you say, well, Doug, you just don't like Joe Biden.
No, I don't like Joe Biden's policies, and I think he's leading us down a very bad path.
But understand something, when you have the President of the United States that does not know that his Secretary of Defense is out of pocket for over a week, and your own National Security Advisor doesn't know it, the Deputy Defense Secretary doesn't know it, and you have them making 911 phone calls and saying, let's keep this quiet, there's a problem.
And remember, this was serious enough to where the aide to Secretary Austin had to call an ambulance to get him to the hospital.
This wasn't just feeling bad.
This was enough that they needed to call an ambulance post-surgery to take him back to the hospital in which he ended up in ICU. I've still yet to be told or heard or read anywhere that if General Brown, the I haven't heard of that yet.
Nobody's asked that question.
I'd love for a reporter to ask that question.
Hey, did the joint chief chairman actually know that the defense secretary was out of pocket?
None of this is there.
And then you have a defense secretary, like I said, who undoubtedly has such a poor open relationship with the White House that the White House didn't even know he wasn't there.
The president didn't even know what was going on, didn't know he had cancer.
And yet we have these rebels in Yemen who cannot barely feed themselves or firing off some of the most pricey, sophisticated missiles and shots and shutting down the Red Sea.
And we have an administration that simply destroys more ammo dumps and more warehouses.
Look, bullies only understand bullies.
Iran only understands sanctions.
They only understand the bully mentality.
They do not understand anything less.
And when you look at what's going on in the world right now, for those of us who have friends over there, for those of us who are worried about a world situation, I said this earlier in the podcast, national defense and foreign affairs typically don't play heavily into a...
Presidential race.
This year it could.
And I go back to 1979, 1980, when you had the hostages.
And guess where?
Iran played very heavily into that race with Ronald Reagan.
The economy did as well.
I'll grant you that completely.
But the foreign affairs or the lack of world standing played into that race a great deal.
So as we look at this election cycle, Please be attentive to not only the Ukraine war, you've had China actually saber-rattling more with Taiwan than they even normally do.
These are all going on.
North Korea is, you know, being North Korea, now actually have stated that they don't want a peaceful solution, a peaceful reunification with the South.
So what does that mean?
Are they ready to, you know, attack South Korea?
If so, get ready, because we've got a lot of troops on that border right there between South Korea and North Korea.
If there was ever a time to be concerned about world affairs, now is the time as we go forward on it.
One last thought before we get gone today.
We mentioned, this was last week, C.J. Stroud, in the game before, he came out and NBC, as he always does, his first statement is, he says, I want to give all the thanks to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He said that for all year.
What was interesting was when the NBC Sports decided to run the clip of that, they cut it out.
They showed the rest of the clip, but they cut the first five seconds of the clip out.
I just tagged this along with a story that I just talked about, about the government flagging through financial institutions where we're purchasing guns, what stores are going to, Dick's Sporting Goods, Cabela's, Bass Pro.
I just wish they'd give me a discount.
If they're going to watch me that close, give me a discount to some of these stores because, you know, I mean, I got no problem telling you I'm going to Bass Pro Shop.
I'm going to the Sporting Goods store.
I'm buying guns.
I'm buying ammo.
I'm doing that.
You want to know about it?
You're going to spy on me?
Fine, but I don't care.
It's my right and it's my prerogative as a citizen to spend my money that I've legally earned where I want to own legal products.
You know, it's time, like I said, where is the ACLU when we need them?
Free speech?
You know, again, NBC can press whatever they want to press.
They're not the government.
First Amendment, not that big of an issue here.
Okay, it's not an issue.
It deals with government interference in speech.
But NBC has granted a license for the airwaves from the government.
And the manipulation that is going on here, and we talked about it earlier with the Hunter Biden situation, the Russia collusion, the Hillary Clinton emails, all of this, when you have institutions that are no longer trusted, then do not complain when the American public do not trust the institutions.
And they act out in the only way they can, and that is by questioning everything, by not believing anything, and by being very scared of the very government that should be there to protect their best interests in general welfare.
That's sort of what the Constitution says.
But we don't right now.
So that was where I wanted to leave you today, is question things, both the right and the left.
Learn.
Read.
Don't just read what you want to hear.
Read everything.
Make your own decisions.
Think.
We have gotten away from generations now that are just dependent on media and social media and TikTok and who is the latest influencer.
And wow, they've got a million followers on Twitter.
I believe what they say.
Bullcrap.
Believe what you read and believe what you research.
Don't just believe everything that you're told because you like the way it sounds.
If you do, our country and our democracy is in trouble.
Our democracy was founded on the premise that the people would be informed about what they do.
We've had a lot of changes.
We didn't have women who were not voting when we first came in.
They should have been.
We've had slavery.
We've gone away with slavery.
We're not a perfect nation.
But a nation like ours cannot depend on an electorate who goes to the polls and simply votes for either the interest of somebody that's going to give them something or goes on based on what other people tell them.
They need to research this.
We've got a debt that is out of control.
We've got a deficit that grows every year on these budgets.
We've got a foreign affairs that is non-existent plan.
And we have an energy plan that's been decimated.
Folks, it's time to wake up.
These are not isolated events.
It's time to sit here and say, what do we need to put our country back on the right track?
