You want to listen to a podcast?
By who?
Georgia GOP Congressman Doug Collins.
How is it?
The greatest thing I have ever heard in my whole life.
I could not believe my ears.
In this house, wherever the rules are disregarded, chaos and mob rule.
It has been said today, where is bravery?
I'll tell you where bravery is found and courage is found.
It's found in this minority who has lived through the last year of nothing but rules being broken, people being put down, questions not being answered, and this majority say, be damned with anything else.
We're going to impeach and do whatever we want to do.
Why?
Because we won an election.
I guarantee you, one day you'll be back in the minority and it ain't gonna be that fun.
All right, everybody, it's Friday.
Yes, you heard it correctly right here.
Friday, Friday's Finest here on the Doug Collins Podcast.
This is the time that we reach into the barrel.

God bless you being in Texas.
And then we have Chip Lake.
Chip is in with us in there from Atlanta.
Always good to have the two of them on board for Friday's Finest.
How's everybody today?
Doing great, Doug.
I hope you are as well.
I was good.
Until you started to trash my home state.
Well, that's good.
Well, we got one break to get to, and as soon as we get back from the break, these two you will hear from right after the break.

All right, we're back.
Now, okay, Chip and James, got a lot to talk about here this week.
But James, we're going to defer to you.
It was a tough week for the Vikings.
We could talk about this, or we could just find other things to depress me.
It was weird.
I'll tell you what.
It was really weird because me and my dad, when it comes to the Vikings, that's our thing.
That's what we care about the most.
When I texted him, I know you can't tell if someone's crying over text, but I was pretty sure he was crying.
Because, not that we were going to win a Super Bowl or anything, but we were turning it around, and people were kind of getting excited.
We had the chains, Kirk go back, all that fun stuff.
Is there anything more devastating than an injury that's not caused by the other team?
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Okay, I have a question here for both of you.
And before we get into your MVP candidate now that's come in as quarterback, is Achilles just the injury to juror this year?
Or is there a reason Achilles is becoming more and more problematic with quarterbacks, with wide receivers, anything else?
Or is it just one of those years?
I think it's just happened with two very high-profile quarterbacks, right?
And any time that happens, it's going to get a lot of attention.
But, you know, in talking about the Vikings, Doug, I mean, what, four weeks ago, you know, their one-two quarterback and wide receiver was Kurt Cousins and Jordan Jefferson, and now it's Joshua Dobbs and K.J. Osborne.
So...
I'm going in the right direction.
Listen, first of all, K.J. Osborne, who I think is a good receiver.
What's good is, first of all, Jordan Addison is now our number one receiver.
Don't get it twisted.
He literally showed up the moment Jefferson went down.
They were like, alright, let's just throw him the ball.
And that was because of Cousins.
Let's just pay our respect.
Because Kirk Cousins is going to be 35. He's going to be 36 next year.
I don't know where he's going to be in his career.
That's a devastating thing to get this late coming up in a contract season.
But he was literally at the top of his game.
And that sucks.
Because I know, you know, we can all joke about Kirk Cousins, he doesn't play big, blah, blah, blah.
But if you just took his numbers and didn't know that he was a huge Creed fan, and you just took the numbers, and you just looked at those, yeah.
Creed!
You would put him up with a bunch of other great players.
So, despite that...
The Vikings said, we're not going to do anything, no trades, nothing happens.
And then sure enough, MVP candidate Josh Jobs shows up on our doorstep and he's going to take us to a Super Bowl Nick Foles style.
I'm certain of it because it's the only way I can get through this.
I know you might think I'm not all there mentally and you're correct, but...
As an Atlanta Falcons fan, misery loves company, right?
Yeah.
Hey, you guys made the right decision.
Well, not you guys.
Arthur Smith's mustache made the right decision eventually.
Y'all went with Taylor Heineke, so you guys should be pretty thrilled.
We're going Heineke, Heineke, Heineke.
Alright, whatever.
At least it's not Ritter.
And we've got some others to talk about as well.
Of course, my other team that I look at, as you can see in the background, is the Raiders.
And we finally made a trade this year.
It wasn't a trade, it was like, get rid of Josh McDaniel and the GM. So, I had a statistic yesterday.
Y'all know this?
That since...
Al Davis died.
Danny Davis died.
Mark's been in control since 2011, 2012, I think it is.
They have had eight head coaches.
Is he in control or was his bowl cut in control?
Who is calling the shots?
Well, good question.
But like I said, eight head coaches.
In a franchise, money's not a problem.
This is beginning to be one of those...
And again, you can say Dallas a little bit here, but Jones is a different animal.
But this is becoming one of those, maybe Chip, maybe you can go back on this with me.
This looks like the Rankin-Smith era.
Oh, it definitely was.
Especially the last 10 years.
Yeah.
Before the last 10 years.
It definitely does.
The difference is, you know, the difference is they've got, I mean, they're in the same division as Patrick Mahomes.
And I guess, yeah, I guess during the Rankin-Smith years, the Falcons were in the same division with the San Francisco 49ers.
San Francisco 49ers?
Steve Young and all that.
And so, yeah, look...
You know, as bad as it is, they're only three and five.
But when you lay an egg like they did on national TV this past week, and they laid an egg, I mean, the fact that they were even in that game on the scoreboard as late as they were, was unreal.
Because I think at one point in time, early in the fourth quarter, they were being out gained in total yards three and a half to one in a football game.
It should be illegal for Devontae Adams to have one catch.
Like, it should be an actual punishable offense.
Yeah.
Well, that's like B. John Robinson not playing.
Look, I think the Falcons have made a habit of drafting number ones and not using them.
It's crazy.
At least, like, all right, let's say Kyle Pitts, like, maybe we didn't see it on the field in Atlanta yet, that super incredible miss.
But you've seen it since day one with Bijan.
Just give him the ball.
Don't think about it.
It's not a thought process.
You could put a toddler with a headset on the sideline and all he has to do is say, go right or go left, and Bijan will make the right decision.
It's not rocket science and not giving Devontae Adams the ball is the same thing.
He should have 100 targets every game.
If you can throw it near him, do it.
Well, it could be.
We could go back to something that Arthur actually understands.
We could say, put the package into the FedEx box and give it to Bijan and let him run, you know?
I mean, look, Algiers is not doing that either.
I mean, it's not like either one of them are playing terrible this year.
We just had a quarterback who can't throw.
Yeah, if you can't throw.
I mean, there's only like two players in history I can think of who had god-awful quarterbacks that still were able to run the ball, and that's Adrian Peterson and Barry Sanders.
Like, those are special human beings.
I'm not saying Bijan isn't that or is that, but...
Baltimore forever.
Yeah.
Hey, whoa, whoa.
Don't talk about Joe Flacco that way.
Yeah.
Atlanta's reluctant to, you know, I mean, look, Tyler Algiers is a good running bear, but Atlanta is reluctant to, you know, make B. John Robinson a feature back in the background, in the backfield.
I mean, there are just as many times when he's on the field and he's lined up in the slot.
And I'm all for him lining up in the slot.
But give him the ball if he is.
Give him the ball if he's there.
Yeah.
It's so funny for a team that has a terrible quarterback how few checkdowns they do.
Yes, yes.
Because they didn't have a quarterback who understood a checkdown.
Oh my god, that's the only thing that bad quarterbacks do understand.
I had Christian Ponder for years.
James, you do that really well.
I'm going through it right now, and I'm watching my fantasy teams crumble, and I don't know if I can even get into that today, but that's the kind of thing where once those start going downhill, I'm losing in my kicker league right now.
It's all downhill.
Then you have the Vikings are shot.
The Nets started off 0-2.
Thank God we won two games in a row.
All I'm saying is things aren't perfect, and when you watch Kirk Cousins' Achilles snap, And have to see him limping up and you know that Josh Jobs is coming in and we're not even starting him, which I know isn't fair to him.
We should be starting him, though.
I mean, this kid from BYU is not going to be good.
It's going to be ugly.
And we're playing you guys.
Wait, I just forgot.
We're playing you guys.
Yes, yes, yes.
A really good week.
Oh, God, that game is going to suck.
Well, remember, we just gave up four touchdowns to Will Levis.
Yeah, it can't be as bad as the Jets and Giants.
I mean, come on.
I'm flying into New York on Sunday night, you know, Sunday after the Jets and Giants played.
I mean, you talk about a city in mourning.
Do you see they had 24 punts and 23 points?
Yeah.
Well, I got you one.
Did you guys send that to me?
That was so funny.
Yeah, 24 punt.
Did I send y'all the...
I think I sent both of you the tweet or whatever it was, the stat sheet that Desmond Ritter in the first half, field goal, punt, punt, punt, punt, punt, punt, fumble, punt.
Heineken in the second half, three drives, touchdown, touchdown, field goal, whatever it was.
I'm not looking for that this week.
You should be, because the Vikings secondary, well, actually, you know what?
They've played a lot better.
That defense has played a lot better this year, surprisingly.
Yeah, but it's going to be a boring game.
It's just going to be running and boring and terrible.
Okay, let's hit one quick thing before we move to some deeper topics here.
In fantasy football, would somebody please explain to me Why, in my fantasy football league on my bye week, I hit 175 points and would have beat every other person in the league.
Football gods, what are you talking about?
Lamar Jackson got 58 points in my bye week, and last week he takes 17. Doug, is this your first year playing?
Of actually watching it, yeah.
No, no, but I'm saying, is this your first year playing fantasy football?
No, I've had teams before, but I just didn't.
Okay, well now that you're paying attention to it, that's exactly what's going to happen to you.
Every week.
That's how bye weeks go.
Well, and the worst thing is, too, when you have a fantasy football team that has depth, you're toast.
Because you don't want depth.
You want top-scoring talent where you know you have to start them every week.
Yeah, you don't want to have to make decisions.
Decisions are what kills the rest of us.
Well, here's my problem.
I have Lamar Jackson and Brock Purdy in mind right now.
I had Aaron Rodgers to start the year.
That worked out for four plays.
So you look at it that way.
Brock Purdy and Lamar Jackson are tying each other for who can get to 20 quickest.
And Brock Purdy has just fell off the wagon the last three weeks.
I don't know what's going on in San Francisco.
You know what?
I'm shocked.
Am I wrong about this?
I know he's missing Debo right now and Trent Williams is obviously the best tackle in the league.
But he's fallen off completely.
Well, that brings us to our next question.
Former 49er quarterbacks and where they are now and what's happening.
I mean, you've got Garoppolo, you've got Purdy, you've got, what's his name that got traded into Oblivion?
Did he go to Texan?
Who are we talking about?
Who is the quarterback at San Francisco who is all everything and Oh, Trey Lance.
Trey Lance.
Oh, yeah, he's in Dallas.
Everybody's forgotten about him already.
Yes, yes.
Because he's never going to play a football game, ever.
Question for both of you.
Will Brock Purdy turn it around?
And also, number two, will the Raiders get rid of Garoppolo?
The Raiders will never get rid of Garoppolo because he's too gorgeous.
And Brock Purdy will turn it around.
That team is way too talented for him not to turn it around.
I agree.
I actually agree with James on both of those.
I think not only are they an incredible, talented team, Brock Purdy is a good quarterback.
He makes good decisions.
It's tough to rattle him.
I believe...
I mean, losing Trent Williams and Debo Samuel, I mean, that's a one-two punch that any quarterback's going to struggle with.
The kid's going through some growing pains and he's finally facing some adversity in the NFL. I mean, it's about time.
He won his first eight, nine games, however many it was.
So, you know, he's come back down to earth and he looks human.
But, yeah, they're going to make it better.
And I hesitate to make any predictions about what the Las Vegas Raiders are ever going to do.
I love it, James, that you talk about my quarterback in Las Vegas Raiders as being handsome.
I don't care if he's rear-end ugly, okay?
I want him to be able to throw the ball and not hit the lineman in the back of the head.
But he's not ugly, and that's why he's still in Vegas.
Listen, beautiful people get away with a lot of things, but Jimmy Garoppolo's on another level.
Yeah, Jim has that problem all the time.
It's true, though.
I'm telling you, every team is like, you know, we've got to get rid of this guy.
And then he walks into the room for negotiations, and they're like, son of a...
We can't let him go.
Look at him.
We've got to put his face on all our billboards, otherwise we're not going to have a female audience.
I'm telling you right now, he is...
Because he was...
Because he, at some point, with the 49ers, obviously, had some momentum and played okay, I guess.
He gets to stay because there's so few good quarterbacks in this league.
Look how many teams are struggling because of it.
I hope that the other kid plays well.
I'm blanking on his name because he looks like a giant toddler with a mustache.
Who's their quarterback right now?
What's his name?
I don't know.
I literally can't think of the backup for the Raiders, but anyway, I'm rooting for him because he played okay in the second half of a game, and then they threw Garoppolo right back in there.
Pro football right now is like Chan and I discussed last week.
Pro football and college football are having one of those eh kind of years.
Everybody is just sort of meh.
But I do have to bring up a topic here because we're actually going to hit football.
We're going to hit baseball and pop culture all at once, which is what we love to do here on Friday's Finest.
I want to discuss the rise of Creed.
It is crazy.
Texas Rangers.
All of them, bringing back Creed.
Hey, did you guys know that there was a World Series?
I'm in Dallas and I didn't even know there was a World Series.
They just won them.
And by the way, that'll really tick Jerry Jones off because across the parking lot, they're actually world champs.
You know what they should do just to piss off Jerry Jones?
They should just retire.
What's his name?
Who's their head coach he won't retire?
Bruce Bochy.
No, no, no, no, no, no.
He's the Dallas former coach, Johnson.
They should just retire Jerry Johnson.
Just retire him to piss off Jerry Jones.
Yeah, no, what a W for them.
But yeah, Creed is back, and it's better than ever, and I'm so glad it is.
I love when...
This is what the internet's for.
Not the horribleness.
It's for Creed.
It's to bring back music nobody wanted to hear for the last 20 years.
Nickelback, it's a year opportunity, buddy.
When did Creed and Nickelback, I'll bring in the other one here, when did Creed and Nickelback become unworthy listening stuff, you know?
Like five years after I was a, I don't know, when was I? Last time I remember listening to Nickelback, I was in a I was wearing rollerblades with my classmates when I was in third grade at the rink.
That's what it was called.
I think that was the last time I cared about it.
Hey, I've actually met, what's his name?
You met him?
Yeah, I have.
He's an excellent golfer.
I mean, he's like a scratch.
Of course he is.
That's so infuriating.
You can already sing.
Leave some talent for the rest of us.
See, that's why we have you, James.
We just throw up stuff for you to tear down, you know?
It's like when Steph Curry gets a hole-in-one, you're like, get out of here.
You already are good.
You're already the best at something.
Gets a hole-in-one on national TV. On national television.
Things that people, that golfers have been dreaming to do their entire lives.
And he's like, yeah, no big deal.
By the way, tomorrow night I'm going to have 45 against Utah.
Like, no, you can't do that.
And Scott Stapp, being a good golfer is just infuriating.
Yeah, yeah.
The scary part is, if anybody's watched Tiger Woods' son, they can kiss their golf game goodbye.
That's right.
It's back.
It's already over.
He's scary.
Should we just set up tournaments to see him play against adults right now?
Because they're already doing those horrible tournaments with Tom Brady and And like, you know, with Peyton Manning.
Just, you know what you do?
You put Charlie in with a group of like 20 year olds and just watch him eviscerate them.
And then, you know, go from there.
And then we'll just be talking about him until the day, you know, until he retires or, you know, whatever.
Well, it's November.
I mean, we're, you know, we're one month away.
I mean, December, I mean, a little more than a month since it's the beginning of November.
But, you know, we're a month and a half away from watching Charlie in the PNC Challenge.
Yeah, that father got it.
Sponsor last year.
And so, yeah, we get to see Charlie one time a year, probably only for the next couple years, because as the kid gets to college and starts playing bigger tournaments, we're going to see a lot more of him.
Could you imagine Charlie and John Daly paired together?
Oh, my God.
Oh, how good would that be?
Charlie, John Daly tries to give him a beer?
Dude, I think they were paired last year together.
Oh my God, they're amazing.
Yeah, they weren't teammates.
They were obviously playing on different teams with John Jr. playing with Big John.
That would be such a good movie because John Daly would be such a good movie villain if they tried to base somebody off of him.
Have y'all watched the 30 for 30 on him?
No, I've seen clips, and it's incredible.
It's Netflix.
Yeah, it's on Netflix, but you've got to watch it.
Oh my God, it is amazing.
You know, it is just, I mean...
A 30 for 30 on John Daly?
Is it a 30 for 30, James, or is it just a...
I don't know.
I've only seen clips...
Well, I'd love to watch it, whatever it is.
I can't believe I haven't seen it.
Yeah, hit it hard.
It's 30 for 30. Oh my God, it's great.
You've got to watch it.
It is amazing.
I mean, he's just everything America needs.
Well, he does.
And it's sort of like what we see nowadays.
And God, there's so much to talk about today.
But these kids, basically, and he was one of the original, like the Bosworth.
Have you ever watched the Brian Bosworth 30 for 30?
That's a depressing 30 for 30. And what really has gotten me is, I mean, you know, now everybody knows him from, you know, the Dr. Pepper commercials, but...
But he had a movie career as well.
But what is really, and folks, if you've not watched this, go watch it.
It's a 30-30.
It's really worth watching.
Because here is a grown man now in his late 50s, probably early 60s, because he's older than me.
But I remember watching.
That was about the time I was in high school.
He and I were roughly three or four years apart.
But anyway, I mean, you can legitimately see pain in his eyes.
Over stuff.
I mean, it's like you want to take it to some of these kids who think that they're all that and a bag of chips in high school and college right now and say, hey, watch.
Watch this.
And I know people might get offended by this because I think they're actually good kids.
I think a lot of the Colorado football team, the Sanders boys and Travis, but they need to watch what they're doing right now.
And because...
They're not Dion.
Okay, Dion is a, Dion's ultra-royal.
Dion is Michael Dorgan.
Once in a generation human being.
Yeah, it is.
I mean, and to see that kind of thing, but to see that discussion with, you know, with him in Oklahoma, I mean, because I thought he was amazing when he was there, but if you see the pain in his eyes, and that is really good.
You can get humbled super quick in anything, and Brian Bosworth is the definition of being humbled.
I think everyone remembers—I wasn't alive for it, or maybe I was.
I don't remember what year it was.
No, you wouldn't.
When—what's his name?
I'm blanking on his name.
He was the greatest athlete of all time, and he ran over Brian Bosworth in the end zone.
Oh, Bo Jackson.
When Bo Jackson ran over Brian Bosworth.
I don't know what year that was.
Greatest athlete of all time.
That's in my neighborhood, man.
That's what I was saying.
That moment was the most humbling moment in NFL history, probably.
At that time.
But even that 30 for 30 talks about that hit, and if you look at it, I'm going to defend Boswell, because he didn't try to defend it, but if you look at him, a couple other people were talking about, he was coming at it, you know, sort of from the side.
He was coming at it, and it was a great hit, and it's just, you're not going to stop Bo by yourself.
No!
No, no one was, but it didn't matter because that was the point.
It's the visual.
It's the visual.
Listen, there's a lot of plays that we can go back to in the history of sports and go, it's the visual, and then you look back and you're like, that wasn't his fault, that wasn't his fault.
Marshall Walker and what's his name in Tennessee?
Will Bates.
Will Bates.
Yeah, who went on to have a great career, and the pros, nobody ever remembers it.
All they remember is legitimately Herschel Walker trucking him in Neyland Stadium.
I mean, I was watching it.
It's fantastic.
All right, a lot of stuff here.
Let's do a quick couple things, because I've got a couple of at the end I want to spend a minute or two on, but we've got a few minutes left here to do.
Let's get to this week in college football, because we have the college football playoffs.
Teams were picked.
I don't know who these 16 individuals are, but undoubtedly, I think, and I say this with jokingly, Kirby got to them because Georgia's ranked number two, Ohio State number one, Michigan number three, Florida State number four.
Out of those four, the interesting part is Florida State is the only one over 65% projected to actually still be there in four weeks because they're playing nobody.
I mean, they're done in the ACC for the most part.
Real quickly, James, Chip, was it a shock that they put Ohio State first?
Just from your perspective.
Chip, you can go first.
Yeah, no, I mean, look, if you're Kirby, you probably wanted Ohio State to be number one, right?
I mean, it gives him something to go by.
I mean, they've won two straight national titles.
You know, he doesn't want them to get complacent.
I think the last thing he probably wanted was for, you know, was for, you know, for Georgia to be number one yet again because, you know, you're a sitting duck.
And, you know, look, I mean, the reality is...
All those teams right now control their own destiny.
Well, except for one.
And that's Michigan.
That's a good point.
That's a very good point.
Theirs is in the hand of the Big Ten.
I have a quick question for both of you then.
Washington's having an awesome year, right?
They're having an awesome year.
And as long as they don't lose, because if they lose, it won't matter.
If they can go or they lose one game and Michigan loses one game, with the allegations against them, do you think they would put in Washington over Michigan?
Yes.
I think so, but I think Washington loses this weekend against USC. I think USC comes back.
They need a bounce back game.
Yes, I think they would.
Because I know they don't want Michigan in right now.
Money-wise, they do, but they can't afford that to...
Give it to them.
They might win the whole thing and then probably have to take it back.
That's what I'm thinking.
The problem you've got here, too, is, look, Washington, they're dying to have the Pac-12 go out at least with one.
They haven't been in the college football playoffs in several years.
They'll have the Big 12 in ACC. It's just not been there.
So you would look that they would want to – there's a – I mean, if you listen to any national sports radio, ESPN and everybody else, it's like the Pac-12 is all they talk about besides Michigan and Ohio State.
Which is so weird.
Well, but the irony is, I mean, the conference is completely disintegrating.
And they've had the best year this year they've had in 30 years.
And they're blown away.
Oh, yeah.
It is amazing.
And look, I think Kirby's right where he wants to be there.
But look, and it was interesting because he'll also show the projection on the board that said that there was a 41% projection that Georgia makes the playoffs.
And so I think Kirby will definitely use that.
We'll see how it starts.
By the way, was at the Georgia-Florida game last week.
Georgia looked about as good as Georgia's looked in the last few years.
I mean, they were efficient.
Carson Beck, Here's a statistic, Chip, that even for SEC guys, he just set the SEC record for eight games over 250 yards passing.
I mean, one of the more prolific passers, and that's coming out of Georgia.
Nobody can almost name a receiver we have.
I mean, our two receivers went to Alabama and Texas.
Yeah.
But he's doing it, and Bowers wasn't playing.
Delk caught a one-hander.
The defense held.
And, you know, it'll be interesting.
Here's their run.
Missouri, Ole Miss, Tennessee.
They got to get through Missouri, Ole Miss, Tennessee, then Tech.
But, you know, we'll see how that goes.
I think they do run the table.
Question, big games up this weekend, though.
I'm going to throw out another.
Here's my dog of the week.
Here's my upset of the week.
Oklahoma State beats Oklahoma.
Straight up.
Would that be two losses in a row for Oklahoma?
It would be.
It's possible.
I mean, I think that game's at Stillwater, right?
So, you know, it's possible.
I mean, my upset of the week is Southern Cal over Washington.
We just talked about it.
I think, you know, that game's going to be in the Coliseum.
And, you know, I think the line, yeah, Washington is only a three-point favorite.
I like Caleb Williams.
I mean, they've lost two games.
I don't see them losing three in a row.
So I'm taking the men of Troy against Washington.
Should I just say Rutgers over Ohio State right now?
Oh!
There we go.
Should I call Rutgers over Ohio?
My hometown team, the only team we care about in college football?
My son Copeland is in Rotary.
They do a picks thing every week.
They do a pot kind of thing down in Florida.
And he said, send me three underdogs I was looking at.
My top underdog, my top dog, Oklahoma State.
Second dog is A&M over with a line on, it's Ole Miss, I believe.
And the third one was Rutgers and Ohio State.
I think they'll at least cover.
Rutgers has been balling.
I'm going to add one more in there to look at.
And that is, what does Clemson do this week after Tyler from Spartanburg called into the Davos?
I didn't know you were from Spartanburg, buddy.
Who do they play?
Notre Dame at home!
Wow.
Yeah, so Notre Dame's a three-point favorite, too.
Very similar.
I think Clemson comes out to play this week, and I think Notre Dame's due to lose that game, and so I think Clemson is a good underdog to look at this week.
But Clemson loses, they go four and five.
That's not a very familiar place for Clemson.
All right, SEC West.
Alabama, LSU. I was just about to ask...
I don't really look at, like, 14 versus 8 or 13 versus 8 as an upset, you know?
But, yeah, I would probably – I mean, LSU's not a bad pick here.
I'll take Alabama.
I'm going to take Alabama.
That's because you're a homer.
You guys are homers.
You guys are ridiculous.
You don't lose two games a year at home, so I'm taking Alabama.
All right.
Last over-under question.
Colorado started out really good.
They got to four wins.
They need two more wins to make bowl game.
Do they make bowl?
Yes.
I think they do, Doug.
I think they do.
I think their schedule's favorable coming down the road.
Their total win over or under to start the season was at three and a half.
They've already exceeded that.
I think they get two more and they go bowling.
That was crazy.
They might be the Sparilla Bowl, but I think they go bowling.
They go bowling.
Let me ask some.
You see him fire up.
He was fired up.
Deion was saying that the offensive line is going to be changed next year.
Yeah.
Those dudes are going to be picking it up all rest of the season because none of those dudes want to go.
You want to leave this team that fame?
No, thank you.
That was a good move by Coach.
Yeah, well, I mean, look.
He's like, I'll just replace every one of you.
Shadour's getting killed.
I mean, he's got a lot of potential.
He's a rough...
He is rough, dominant.
Yeah, he could play in the NFL. I am convinced that if the Vikings screw this thing up enough, we can get Shadour, and I want it.
I want Shadour Sanders so bad.
I would actually take Shadour over a game of all time.
Okay, now you're being ridiculous, Doug.
Remember, not a fan.
Not a fan yet.
I understand, and you're wrong.
Well, when he proves that we can.
When he proves that we can, okay?
When he stops losing the top five defenses in the country, then I'll start listening.
When he beats up everybody else, no, I'm sorry.
Oh, Doug.
Real quickly, we've got one big...
I'm not even going to go there with Atlanta and Minnesota this weekend, but I do have one that we do need to pick on.
Dallas Eagles.
I take Eagles will win by two.
Touchdown.
You call me when somebody can stop A.J. Brown.
That man is on a mission from God.
Yeah, I've watched Dak Prescott play too much quarterback to put my money on Dallas at Philly.
Give me the Philadelphia Eagles.
Get the cigar ready for Stephen A., because it is coming on Monday morning.
What's the spread on that game?
Let's see, it's three.
Yeah, that's crazy.
They don't want to put a line on it, so you give that and go.
Hey, before we get gone here, before we get gone, we've got a lot of stuff, but we do have two things that we need to remember.
Not really my generation, Chip.
Maybe more of yours.
Maybe more of yours, James.
Well, I didn't watch it a lot, but Friends star Matthew Perry passed away this past week, and Really sort of stunning and sad.
I mean, you hate to see somebody 54 years old and had all the problems, very admittedly having problems.
And I was on Outnumbered this week and they showed a clip of him and they said, he told, I don't want to be remembered necessarily the first thing to be taught of his friends.
He said, I want to be remembered as somebody who helped others try to get sober.
And...
He did.
Pretty cool with that.
He helps so many people get sober.
I hope that's his legacy.
I mean, we all know his legacy is going to be friends.
That's not up for debate.
But if there is one that comes right behind it, it's that he got a lot of people believing they could be sober because addiction is an absolute nightmare and proof.
I agree.
I agree.
It is tough.
And like I told the folks on TV, we talked about this.
I said, look, if you're listening to this today and you're out there, maybe you're struggling, maybe you need some help, it's okay to get help.
If you're listening to this podcast, you just stumbled on it and heard three wild guys just talking and maybe you're struggling through the day, get some help.
Email somebody.
Email me.
But get help.
If you're struggling with addiction, you're struggling with depression, get some help because there are people out there who care.
You're not by yourself.
And I think Matthew Perry did a great job of doing that.
And now, one before we go, the one who sort of influenced my whole younger career in basketball and also in life as coaches, the great Bobby Knight passed away.
And, I mean, from throwing chairs to, I mean, just, you know, his...
Amazing use of a word that starts in F and ends in K and is not firetruck.
It was just amazing.
There's just nothing like Bobby Knight anymore.
No, they don't make them like that anymore.
They don't.
I mean, you know, the coaches today, he wouldn't make it in today's era, and that's sad because he was a good coach.
He was an effective coach.
He touched the lives of so many young men, but it's the end of an era, Doug.
It really is.
Rest in peace, Bobby.
