Shocking! Kim Kardashian Says "Yes" To Balenciaga...

Alright guys, happy Wednesday.
At least it's a happy Wednesday for me.
Actually, I've learned that there are a lot of women that are deeply upset today, crying all around the world.
Because Margot Robbie is not up for an Oscar for her performance in Barbie.
Why are women so sad about that?
The answer is that Kanye was right.
Plus, later on in the show, you guys have been DMing me asking you my opinion about Kim Kardashian, who has recently announced that she's going to be the brand ambassador for Balenciaga, despite the big controversy back in 2022 regarding their ads featuring children in BDSM gear and those documents related to child pornography laws.
Yeah, Kim doesn't care, and that shouldn't surprise you.
All that and more today coming up on Candace Owens.
All right, guys, let's get into a time machine and revisit this moment from 2009.
Where were you when this happened at the MTV VMA Awards?
Thank you so much for giving me a chance to win a VMA Award.
Yo, Taylor, I'm really happy for you.
I'm going to let you finish. But Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time.
One of the best videos of all time.
Oh, I remember where I was.
I was so angry.
It's actually really funny to watch it now because we're 14 years removed from it.
But we all remember how outrage we were.
Taylor Swift was up there, so innocent.
And I used to love Taylor Swift back then.
And she was so excited to win this award for the best music video.
And then Kanye, how evil he jumps on stage and takes it for her.
And then he very quickly became persona non grata.
everybody in Hollywood came after him.
But Taylor Swift, I would say, benefited from the scandal.
She was everywhere following that, which is why he says that
she owes her for his fame.
But the reason why I'm revisiting that circumstance is because now
that we're able to reflect on it, we can think about it in a way
that removes us from the earlier emotion.
And I think Kanye was obviously making a very valid point.
While people disagreed with him for his style, no one's ever accused Kanye West of being polite, right, when he does these things, no one actually disagreed with the claim that he made on stage.
So I'll jog your memory. Taylor won for best video for her song, You Belong With Me.
Here was the video for that song.
Take a look. We're good to go.
Look, it's cute. It's Teenie Bopper.
She's dancing and she's holding up signs for a guy.
She's changing her clothes into different outfits in front of a mirror.
It was definitely a very cute video and teenagers loved it.
But yes, Beyonce did in fact put out one of the greatest music videos of all time that year.
Let me remind you of what the single ladies music video looked like.
Uh-oh.
Oh, come on.
It's not a good idea.
You still want to dance when you see it.
It was wonderful. It was artistic.
And Kanye was understandably outraged.
Again, I'm not justifying the way he went about it, but understandably outraged.
Like, why are we even here if we're not going to be awarding people based on a meritocracy?
That was the point he was making.
Of course, Taylor Swift should not have beat out Beyonce if it was based on merit for her video You Belong With Me when weighed against single ladies.
It... It is outrageous.
It was outrageous. Which brings me to Barbie.
Obviously, the movie was iconic in the way that it brought to life our childhood.
I mean, I didn't see the movie, but you can understand the fan reaction to it.
Oh my gosh, we are actually going to watch Barbie.
We all loved Barbie. People took their daughters to go see Barbie.
Everybody was suddenly buying Barbies.
It was, as a fact, the highest grossing film last year.
And as I said, you can understand why.
People love Barbie.
But does that mean that Barbie should sweep the awards at the Oscars simply because you have an emotional attachment to the character?
Yeah, well, that's what's going on right now.
People are very, very upset because they have announced the Oscar nominations.
And despite the fact that Ryan Gosling is listed as Best Supporting Actor and America Ferreira is listed as a Best Supporting Actress nomination, they left out Margot Robbie.
Margot Robbie is not listed as one of the people who is up for the best acting category.
Now, a lot of things that I want to say here, and I'm just going to be frank with you, but this is just such a woman thing.
It is just women being emotional and illogical and thinking that emotion should win the day.
People are calling this sexism.
Obviously, that makes no sense.
Let me say this. It doesn't exactly take a cultural genius to deduce that the character Barbie probably did not require the most complex acting capabilities.
Okay, I'll ask you a question. What is the best acting that you've ever seen?
Think about the movie where you would go, honestly, I was so blown away by the acting that this person should win every award.
In recent memory, I always think of Bradley Cooper in A Star is Born.
If you have not seen his performance in that, you should.
He is incredible. It is a very layered performance.
I remember watching it and saying to myself, Bradley Cooper must have been an alcoholic because there's just no way that he could deliver such a precise performance.
He was incredible.
He should have won every single award.
I don't even think he did. I don't know if he did.
But the point is that it was because of his amazing acting capabilities.
There is just no way that when I asked you that question, you went, Barbie.
Yeah, no, absolutely. Margot Robbie in Barbie, definitely, when I think of an actor or an actress that is just so amazing, I would think of Margot Robbie.
Of course not. Because just by the nature of it being a Barbie movie, it probably tells you that the characters themselves are not that complex.
And when you're thinking of a category as the best actress for the entire year, all of the performances,
all of the acting, all of the movies, there is just no way that Barbie
is going to make your top list.
Now, that brings me to the next point, which is sexism where?
I would just like to remind you that Margot Robbie, based on her acting ability,
has received Oscar nominations in the past.
In 2018, she was nominated for Best Actress for the movie, I, Tonya.
And that is because that required a more complex skill set.
She was also nominated for Best Supporting Actress back in 2020 for the movie Bombshell, the story about Fox News.
So yes, based on her own merit, Margot Robbie has proven that she is able to secure Oscar
nominations. So why do you want to force her into a category that clearly she probably doesn't
deserve? Again, this is not sexism. But despite that, and because there's always a feminist gun
to men's heads these days, Ryan Gosling, who is up for supporting actor, probably because it
doesn't require nearly as much acting skill, and again, I will mention America Ferrera,
is also listed as a best supporting female role. He was forced to issue this statement.
He wrote, I am extremely honored to be nominated by my colleagues alongside such remarkable artists
in a year of so many great films. And I never thought that I'd be saying this,
but I'm also incredibly honored and proud that it's for portraying a plastic doll named Ken.
But there is no Ken without Barbie. And there is no Barbie movie without Greta Gerwig and
Margot Robbie, the two people most responsible for this history making globally celebrated film.
No recognition would be possible for anyone on the film without their talent, grit, and genius.
To say that I am disappointed that they are not nominated in their respective categories would be
an understatement.
So yeah, he is upset.
I don't think he actually is.
I think in reality, like I said, there's just a feminist gun to his head.
And God forbid you are a man and you accept an award when women are screaming and shrieking.
Yeah, not going to be good for you or your career.
Which is why I say welcome to the matriarchy.
It really makes me laugh when people pretend that we are existing in some sort of a patriarchy.
If we were living in a patriarchy, which I think we should be, I want the patriarchy to come back, the world wouldn't be nearly as whiny and as annoying as it is today.
We would not be hearing, I mean, the height of privilege.
A bunch of women upset because Barbie didn't get a nomination.
I love Barbie.
I had all the Barbies.
I don't understand. It must be because women are just unappreciated for their work.
No, maybe it's just because they weren't the best.
That's it. They just weren't the best in that category.
And there were better films that were more deserving of the nod.
And that does not remove the fact that obviously, Greta Gerwig did a great job directing the film.
It was the highest grossing film.
Hey, I would say if this was the Nickelodeon Awards, any other pop awards,
they should probably sweep the categories because that's what it was.
It was popular, it was cult, people loved it.
But it's also not a serious film that puts Margot Robbie in the contender for best actress.
That's honestly it, guys.
It's not a big deal.
If you're still upset because you think that Barbie just was not being acknowledged at the Oscars,
it's because your eyes are not open.
Just to be clear, Barbie is up for best picture, best supporting actor, best supporting actress, adapted screenplay, original song, costume design, and production design.
And still it's not enough because feminists need more.
All of this to say, Kanye was right again.
And that's all I'm going to say about that.
2024 is definitely going to be a wild ride.

♪♪ Ladies and gentlemen, the Rainbow Bullies strike again.
And what am I referring to when I say the rainbow bullies?
I am referring particularly to people who behave poorly and then hide behind what they perceive to be their identity.
And now, obviously, if you are a lesbian or you're gay or you're trans, you can just do whatever you want to do in life and then say, oh, well, actually, I'm the victim because I fall into this special category, the rainbow obviously being the flag that they fly.
I couldn't even believe the story.
It makes me laugh in a way.
It's absurd, obviously, but it also deeply frustrates me.
Two lesbians coming out of Kansas, Wichita, Kansas.
Allie Waggie, kind of an annoying name, and Jessica Robinson.
They were planning their wedding because you can get married, obviously.
Anyways, so Allie and Jessica Robinson, they're just wedding venue shopping, which every single person in the world has to do, which means that you're emailing back and forth with the venue owners.
They saw a barn and they absolutely fell in love with it.
They were like, yes, this is the place.
Let's email, let's see if we can book them.
And as they're emailing back and forth, the owners of the barn wrote them this in part in an email.
I also wanted to reach out and make sure we had an open and honest line of communication,
something that we desire with all of our couples.
If you decide that our barn is the location you want for your wedding, we have learned
If you decide that our barn is the location you want for your wedding, we have learned that it is most fair
that it is most fair to you to know who we are and where our heart is.
to you to know who we are and where our heart is.
And in the past, doing this at the start helps everyone feel so much better moving forward
and allows you to make the very best decision for you.
While our deeply held religious beliefs keep us from celebrating anything but marriage
between a man and woman, we desire to serve everyone equally and do not want to keep anyone
from using our building who would like to.
Our hearts are to serve regardless of race, creed, color, origin, sexual orientation,
gender, or marital status while maintaining our convictions and beliefs as well.
All couples legally permitted to marry in the state of Kansas are welcome to use the barn at Grace Hill.
So that is what they received as an email that we are happy to welcome you.
We want to let you know that these are our views, but obviously we are not forcing our views upon you.
Now, to be clear, if this couple, if the barn owners, pardon, were so against the lesbian couple being married there, when the lesbian couple emailed and said, this is the date that we'd like to get married, they would have just written back and said, we're fully booked.
Yeah. That's all it would have taken if they said, like, you know what?
We're Christians. We don't want to be involved in this nonsense.
We're fully booked is all they had to say.
But they didn't. They wrote to them and they said, look, you guys are a lesbian couple getting married.
I want you to know these are our views.
Maybe they wrote that because in the past they've come into some trouble.
Maybe somebody learned that they're Christians and didn't want to book their bar anymore.
So they put everything on the table and said, but we're glad to welcome you.
So what did this lesbian couple do?
Did they write them back and say, okay, great, we'll book it?
No, because they're victims.
You see, one of the rules now in society is that you are allowed to tell people that you hate Christians.
You're allowed to tell people that you're a lesbian.
You can tell people whatever you want, really, if you are a part of the Rainbow Army.
But God forbid somebody tells you what they believe.
God forbid someone just says to you, hey, the Bible, I actually believe in that.
Then you get to say that you are a victim.
You can pretend that you're shocked and you can cry to the public.
And that's exactly what Allie, Waggie, and Jess Robinson did.
They took to Facebook and they wrote...
I've cried all night.
People suck.
They posted a screenshot of the correspondence and they said that they took this as we will take your money
But we're not going to celebrate your marriage and want to make sure that you know that and then they asked the public
for venue recommendations
They wanted to instead book a company or a venue that believed that everyone deserved to be celebrated
That's that's them But if you don't want to celebrate me if you personally
Don't believe that I should be getting married that I don't want to book you as a venue
You have to think exactly like me. We're so tolerant except we're not tolerant at all
Obviously and of course the response that they got was the public being so adoring
Oh my God, you guys are victims.
They just told you that they were Christian?
They just wrote that in an email that they believed that marriage was between a man and a woman?
How could they possibly do that?
We feel so bad for you.
Comments flooded in.
One person write, I'm so sorry.
They want y'all's money but won't celebrate your marriage.
Why won't the venue people come in and dance with us to the Cotton Eye Joe at our wedding?
These awful human beings.
Another user wrote, this is basically a way for them to throw a hissy fit and ostracize people they don't agree with without being sued.
Again, that would require you to suspend thinking.
If they did not want them to have the wedding venue, all they had to do was write back and say that they were booked.
So what's really happening is a Christian couple is now being harassed by the Rainbow Bully Army.
Obviously, people are flooding and saying, you guys are horrible.
These people are backwards. And what did the lesbian couple do?
Well, they victimed their way into a free wedding venue.
Yep, that is the update.
They wrote a statement on Thursday, last Thursday.
They shared that there was a happy ending to the trauma that they had endured obviously
They received a message from a different venue owner out of Derby, Kansas
Called the heritage meadow estate who wanted to offer the couple the use of the venue for their wedding
Which would have cost them?
$12,000 at no charge. I want to say to that venue great marketing
Opportunity because you know that these people are suspending logic and they're going to be emotional now every gay
person in Kansas will use your venue and you'll make money but
What has happened here obviously is not okay I'm really getting tired of Christians being told that they
have to shut up about their beliefs while every other person who believes in
Nonsense gets to share their feelings and be protected right you can you can literally believe that you're a
lizard today And they'll give it a month and there'll be a YouTube
policy that you can't say anything against the lizard people
but God forbid you're simply a Christian and You you talk about your biblical beliefs you talk about
what you recognize to be the truth Then you are allowed to be randomly harassed so that story
out of Wichita, Kansas Frustrated me, but at the same time
I do think that Christians will pay attention to the story and
What will end up being the result is that the initial venue?
Will be seen as who they are people that have a virtue people that were incredibly kind and understanding and more
people will book them All right, guys, let's move on.
So many of you guys have been hitting me up regarding Kim Kardashian announcing that she is going to be the brand ambassador of Balenciaga.
So just in case you did not follow the story back when it happened in 2022, I'll offer a brief refresher because it's extremely relevant and there is a reason why the public is outraged by her decision.
So back in 2022, Balenciaga launched a campaign and it was...
I don't even want to say disturbing because it's so beyond that.
Essentially, they used children and they dressed them up in BDSM gear.
They were holding BDSM teddy bears and leather, the studs.
The images were incredibly disturbing.
And, of course, if you're a person and you follow the logic that when it's art, you just have to allow artists to do whatever they want, they could have maybe defended the weird BDSM bears.
But then there came another image, and there were papers that were thrown all over the floor in the campaign, and the papers were actually United States Supreme Court documents regarding child pornography laws.
So what it felt like, which was an exploration into child pornography and BDSM, is what was
virtually confirmed when they dropped these documents on the floor.
It was in your face.
Ha ha, we are now saying that we are celebrating this Supreme Court decision, which actually
made child pornography easier, the creation of child pornography easier.
Not going to unpack that case right here.
But obviously, this was explosive.
And at the time, Kim Kardashian, who is close friends with Balenciaga director Demna, she
was wearing all of their clothes, she was supporting their new collection, was asked
to respond to this as one of the brand ambassadors.
And rather than respond, she tried to say nothing and allow the Thanksgiving holiday
to take place.
I mean, it took her, if I remember correctly, about five days to even issue a statement
condemning child pornography.
It was an absolute outrage.
And what wound up happening thereafter was she gave a very soft statement saying that
she was very shocked by the images and was quote unquote re-evaluating her relationship
with the brand.
Didn't really say much thereafter, but then went onto a podcast, IRL podcast, and tried
to defend her non-response.
on response.
Or like even with the Balenciaga thing, it was like...
Everyone was like, why aren't you speaking out?
Why aren't you speaking out?
And I'm like, wait, I'm not in this campaign.
I don't know what's happening.
Let me take a minute to research this.
And then as soon as I saw what everyone was seeing on the internet and the reality of the situation, I completely spoke out and gave my thoughts on child porn and completely denounced it.
They're just mad that...
If you don't cancel someone in today's society, then I know people talk about cancel culture and how crazy it is, but it's still happening.
And so it's never been my place.
Now, I know that a lot of people who follow Kim Kardashian are not the brightest bulbs in our society.
So maybe they took that at face value and went, yeah, no, I totally get what she's saying.
It took her days to research the campaign, even though, again, these are her best friends in fashion.
She could have just texted them and seen what happened.
And honestly, the reason why she didn't condemn child pornography and pedophilia as a campaign artistic pitch is because she doesn't condone cancel culture.
Hey, so let me say something about cancel culture.
I'm really comfortable with canceling pedophiles.
I'm so comfortable with that.
Anybody who wants to even take one step in that direction, cancel them.
I'm comfortable. Actually, I would like to use a lot stronger language of what I think should happen to pedophiles, but it probably wouldn't be allowed to stay on YouTube.
But this is what it is. She's kind of slow walking this and making you think, oh, I'm You're the one that's crazy because why should we just cancel people that support child pornography?
That's the marketing trick that she's trying to play to make you think that you're the crazy person, right?
So recently, Kim Kardashian, obviously, she was never going to cancel Balenciaga.
She was always going to be the ambassador for their campaign.
She just wanted to wait a little bit.
Well, she waited one year, credit to her, and now she is full out there bragging that
she is their new ambassador and that she owns 129 Balenciaga purses.
About $400,000 is what her handbag Balenciaga collection costs, and she's laying on top
of the bags in her closet.
And of course, people are going, are you kidding me?
Like, is this not one category where Kim could have some backbone, where she could have some morals?
And to people that are asking me my take on this, why are you surprised?
Listen, one of the things on my show that I want to always reserve the right for is to be able to call water wet.
I always want to be able to call things what they actually are.
And sometimes people say, that's really mean.
It's not nice, Candace, when you refer to Kim Kardashian as a prostitute, when all of the evidence supports that exact claim.
I call her a prostitute not to be mean, but because words have meaning and we should use them adequately.
We should use them in their correct terms, right?
A prostitute is somebody who sells their body for profit, right?
Ray J, her ex-boyfriend, announced, I think it was last year, two years ago, that yes, him and Kim, his girlfriend at the time, and Kris Jenner sat down and plotted the sex tape.
They created pornography.
They had sex on camera because it was their plan to make Kim Kardashian famous, okay?
Do you know how bottom wrong you have to be to sell your own body, pretend that you're shocked
when the tape releases, and to do a deal with a pornographer all while saying that you are a
victim simply because you want to be famous? Just to be clear, if Kim wasn't famous,
she would just be rich. That was enough for her. She came from a very wealthy family, right?
She grew up very well, but Kim said, I desperately want to be famous, and so she did a deal with the devil, okay?
Kim Kardashian quite literally sold her soul for fame.
Doesn't mean that she's not a nice girl, by the way.
I don't think that I hate Kim Kardashian.
I don't. I just want to be able to call a spade a spade, a prostitute a prostitute.
And that's exactly what Kim Kardashian is. So if you're shocked that a prostitute suddenly
does not have the moral compass inside of her to say, no, actually, I would like to
draw a line when it comes to child pornography, it's because you haven't been paying attention.
Kim Kardashian is a part of a broader infection that we are facing in our society.
I would like to be an antidote.
Consider me an antibody, right?
You don't say to somebody who's trying to fight the infection, hey, be a little nicer, okay?
It is because of Kim Kardashian that we have this culture of women that have no morals, right?
Women who similarly, just for a chance to sit next to Demna and to be invited front stage, front row at a Balenciaga show, would do that.
They would say, yes, I'm totally fine with child pornography.
Where do I sign up?
Well, we're facing that epidemic because we have people who are fearful to look at a woman like her and to call her what she is because she has money and because she has power.
No. 2024.
Let's have the courage to call prostitutes prostitutes.
Let's have the courage to call hoes hoes.
Let's have the courage to recognize that someone like Kim Kardashian would do and say absolutely anything to maintain the level of fame that she has achieved.
That's the truth. That's my take.

All right, everybody, with that said, let's jump into some of your comments pertaining to episodes past.
Yesterday, we talked about the 50-50 split on dating.
The young man who said, listen, I go Dutch because women want to be men too, so here you go.
What is the upside to paying for a woman on a date anymore?
My take, yeah, modern feminism caused this.
MK writes, he says it's rare to find a woman who wants to stay at home.
I agree. But if I may counter, I think it's rare to find a man who wants to actually provide for a family completely and treat the woman like a prize.
Yep, I totally agree with you.
And that's why I'm saying is that low-value women are feeding a culture of low-value men.
But I do believe that it starts with the boss-bitch You know, women suddenly saying, I can do bad all by myself.
I think I brought up yesterday Sheryl Sandberg writing the book Lean In.
She is the COO of Facebook, and it was sort of this book that was hailed as true feminism.
She's like, I'm just going to be a partner to my husband.
I'm going to treat everything like a business move.
And now, unfortunately, we have to deal with the consequences of lean-in culture.
I think women should lean out.
Postpartum Empowerment writes, when my husband and I were dating, he insisted on paying for every single date, every single time.
It shows that he as the man values me as the woman.
Like it or not, men are providers and protectors.
Part of that starts when dating.
Yep. The thing about me is I've never suffered feminism.
Like, when I was dating, I made it very clear to men that I'm not a feminist.
When I met my husband, I am not a feminist.
I do not want to have to touch the door handle.
One of the best parts of being married, my husband is the person that's going to fill
up the gas tank.
He knows that if it's snowing, I'm not even thinking about going outside.
I won't even go to the car if I leave something, if it's even slightly too temperate.
I'm like, it's too hot, I don't want to walk to the car.
Yes, you go be a man.
I always say to my husband, men go to war.
The flip side of that is that if there's a screaming baby in the middle of the night,
I know what I'm going to do.
I have a better temperance when it comes to our screaming children.
My husband looks like he's going to get so frustrated in 10 seconds.
We are different.
There is the masculine. There are the great qualities of both.
Let's all just stop trying to be one another.
Louder Than Words writes, Yeah, I would say that it started with millennials, and it is definitely something that's happening amongst younger generations beneath it.
I don't know how old you are, so I can't comment on that.
But I definitely have sensed and I felt when I was in school that it was frowned upon.
to aspire to be a stay-at-home mom.
But I do think that the pendulum is starting to swing back.
Lastly, a couple of comments pertaining to Stanley Cups.
Are you guys still even listening to my podcast?
Are you mad at me for not thinking it was the most amazing thing I ever drank from?
Faith writes, the funniest part is that Starbucks did do a Stanley collab, and they said they will not be re-releasing another wave because they caused too much violence.
No way!
That is really funny.
I will look into that. I thought it would be a brilliant idea.
But yes, it is violent out there when it comes to Stanley cups.
Lastly, Elsie Boston writes, Stanley tumblers are pretty awesome.
They're huge, but fit in the car cup holder.
Very sturdy, and the ice takes forever to melt.
People spend big bucks on iPhones, beauty products, going out to eat, but crap on people over liking a cup.
It's bizarre. Well, to be fair, I would argue that your phone might be more important than the cup that you drink from, and also perhaps that going out to eat is more of an experience.
But maybe you're right.
I don't know. I don't want to get into trouble.
I agree with you. I 100% agree with you.
Stanley Cups are amazing, and everyone needs to love them and like them, or else you are a bad person.
All right, ladies and gentlemen, unfortunately, that is all the time that we have for today.
