Senator, welcome to the program.
Senator, tell us why you are in Chicago and the need for us to present our agenda versus the Democrat Party.
Well, I'm here with Senator Ron Johnson, two business guys, knowing how business works.
So we had a businessman in the White House with Donald Trump, and what did we have?
We had low inflation, low energy prices, opportunities for everybody.
Now we've had Biden and Harris, and what do we have?
We have high prices, high energy prices.
We've got a stagnant economy.
We're losing full-time jobs.
We're only adding part-time jobs.
So it's a clear choice.
We cannot let the media try to portray her as her socialist ideas are sort of some new idea that's going to work.
Here's what's going to end up.
If we follow her path, prices are going to go up.
We're going to have shortages.
We're going to have the same socialism that has failed every place around the world.
It's real clear.
I want a free market, bottoms-up economy.
That's what Trump believes in.
That's what Ron Johnson and I believe in.
I don't believe in the Kamala Harris economy, where they're going to dictate everything to you.
Who you can hire, who you can fire, how you can look, what you can buy, whatever the price of everything.
It'll be destructive for everybody, especially families like mine.
I actually lived in public housing in Illinois growing up as a kid.
If my mom was alive today, she would be able to afford the grocery prices, the gas prices, or the rent.
That's exactly right, Senator.
And so tonight, Joe Biden will be speaking.
It's going to be kind of weird to hear from a current president who speaks on the first night and gets out of Dodge and goes on vacation in Santa Barbara, which is actually what he's doing.
He's just speaking, got on Air Force One, going straight to Santa Barbara, and he's out for the entire week.
They pulled off a coup.
They got rid of Joe Biden and now Kamala Harris.
But Senator, I think it's important that we must make the following argument.
Number one, Kamala Harris is the current vice president of the United States, and she should not be able to escape Well, first off, she was the tie-breaking vote for the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan, which caused inflation.
She was the tie-breaking vote for the Inflation Reduction Act, which actually caused more inflation.
So she can't walk away and say, oh, I had nothing to do with it.
They never listened to me.
No, she was the vice president.
And if you listen, go back to the 2020 election, what she talked about, you're right.
She was, she's worse than Biden.
She's a complete socialist.
And if you don't believe her, believe her vice president.
Okay.
Look at, look at Walz.
I mean, the guy is the complete socialist.
He, he talks about being a big government, government liberal.
He talks about socialism is just neighborliness.
No.
If socialism is death and destruction, socialism is your government taking away your rights, your money, your freedom.
That's exactly what it is, and that's what Harris and Walsh believe in.
No, that's right.
And from the record inflation and now, of course, the open border.
Senator, it will be interesting to see how, if at all, they address the illegal immigration problem.
I was joking around.
I'm here on the interior of the Democrat convention.
Right here is the United Center.
We're just feet away from where the convention is going to be occurring.
But in order to get in, Senator, there's massive walls here.
Huge walls.
I thought walls do not work.
Senator, how do we best put on display the failed immigration policies of Kamala Harris?
What you do is you talk about how it's impacted families.
Talk about somebody that lost their kid to fentanyl.
Talk about somebody like Lakin Riley that was raped and murdered.
Talk about, just in Florida, just recently, we had two young women raped in our panhandle by illegal immigrants.
You just tell the stories.
Tell the stories of how it's impacted all these families all across the country.
I mean, think about it.
How many of us don't know of somebody that's died of fentanyl?
76,000 people a year.
Uh, or is somehow impacted by this crime.
All you have to do is tell the stories.
What they'll say is, well, it's down from how bad it was.
Well, I mean, it hasn't really... The 76,000 fentanyl deaths a year are still growing.
The crime is still growing.
So, it's not getting better.
And Senator, in addition to that, they say that the border crossings are going down, but in reality they're just letting the same amount of people, if not more, through the CBP One app.
Right.
So it's just different how they're categorizing it.
Can you mention that please, Senator?
I think that's a very important distinction because I almost guarantee you Kamala Harris is going to go on stage and her proxies, they're going to say border crossings are down, Republicans are lying about the border, but it's a matter of how we are measuring it and reporting it.
Talk about the CBP One app, please.
Well, first off, don't trust any information that comes out of the Biden administration.
I mean, don't trust their employment numbers.
They'll act like we're adding jobs.
We're not.
We're losing full-time jobs.
There's nothing that the Biden administration puts out that is factual.
But here's what they're doing.
They're allowing people to just, in their own country, just apply through an app, and we pay to fly them here, and then we give them benefits.
Think about it.
We're giving benefits.
We're giving benefits to people, money, benefits, health benefits, all sorts of things to people that are bringing illegal drugs into our country.
So, no, they've just changed how they do it.
I mean, we have millions of people come across the border and they're not vetted.
We don't know who these people are.
I'm from an immigration state.
We love legal immigration, right?
I mean, but we don't want illegal immigration.
So you're right.
They're just changing how they put the numbers out.
But any number they put out is untrustworthy.
The border is open.
If you want to compliment somebody, you can compliment Greg Abbott.
He's trying to do something in Texas to try to get their border secure.
But no, the Biden administration, They've intentionally opened the border.
They've intentionally allowed fentanyl in.
They've intentionally allowed drugs in.
They've intentionally had criminals in.
They've intentionally released terrorists.
They're releasing terrorists in our country!
This would never be going—this was not going on when Trump was president.
I know—I think, Ron Johnson, you're going to talk to Ron Johnson in a few minutes.
He can just talk about the numbers, the unbelievable increase in number.
I remember when I first got to the Senate, Ron was running the Homeland Security, and all the Democrats did was scream at Border Patrol for trying to do their job to prevent illegal people from coming into our country.
It makes you mad.
Senator, that's such an important point.
Getting actually into the DNC this morning was a fun challenge, right, Andrew?
I can say this with complete certainty.
It is easier to walk into America as a terrorist than to walk into the DNC Chicago as a journalist.
It is not a joke.
I mean, there were five, six layers.
Who are you?
Where are you from?
We've got to scan your badge, check out your background, all this stuff.
Yet it is, to walk into the country, there's almost no questions asked.
Very quickly, Senator, about a minute remaining in this segment.
Can you just isolate some of the Senate races that you are focusing on?
A lot of the attention is on the presidency, but we also must win these Senate races.
Name the states and the candidates so our audience can be aware, alert, and active on these races.
The only two incumbents that have races are Ted Cruz and me, so our two races.
And then after that, we, you know, you look at Tim Sheehy in Montana, you look at Bernie Marino in Ohio, you look at Sam Brown in Nevada, you look at Kerry Lakin in Arizona, but then we have others.
We have Wisconsin, we have Michigan, we have Pennsylvania.
We're going to pick up West Virginia.
That'll get us to 50-50.
But I think we have a lot of opportunities.
The key is going to be we have to get our message out.
We have great candidates.
We have to raise our money, run good races.
I think we'll get, hopefully we'll get way more than the majority.

The federal ban on price gouging for groceries.
You are skeptical of this.
Why?
Well, first of all, nobody can explain what price gouging means.
But it also would be very bad for markets.
We've seen this kind of thing tried in lots of other countries before.
Venezuela, Argentina, the Soviet Union, etc.
It leads to shortages.
It leads to black markets.
You know, plenty of uncertainty.
And beyond that, the specific way this bill is written might actually increase prices.
There you have it right there from CNN that it might actually increase prices.
Joining us now is Senator Ron Johnson from Wisconsin.
Senator, I know you are doing a counter-programming press conference.
Why are you here in Chicago and what is the message to the nation in contrast to the DNC?
Well, Charlie, well, the theme from the Trump campaign's viewpoint for today is Make America Wealthy Again.
And it's very appropriate because we finally heard some proposals out of Kamala Harris, and they are literally jaw-dropping.
I try and remind everybody that Venezuelans voted themselves into poverty.
It didn't take very long, but they voted for Marxist-Socialists.
And that's really what Kamala Harris and Tim Walz represent here in terms of American politics.
It's an in-your-face selection of Tim Walz, but it certainly shows that Kamala Harris is basically embracing— That's right.
Let's go into some of those specifics, from price gouging to supporting the Green New Deal.
What—yeah, please, continue.
Well, so if you take a look at what happened in Venezuela, I was just reading an article how their agricultural sector is basically going to collapse.
Farmers have not been able to buy the seed corn they need to plant for the upcoming season.
So again, communism, socialism, it leads to destruction.
It impoverishes people.
About the only equality you get is equal misery.
And that's the path that the Biden and Harris administrations put this nation on.
And Harris-Walz will just continue that, probably put us on an even steeper path toward that level of destruction.
So, Senator, the message that we must continue to talk about in immigration is that Kamala Harris was in charge of the border and she failed when she was in charge of the border.
How specifically should we talk about that?
I mentioned this with Senator Rick Scott.
The DNC is going to lie about border crossings being down.
You cannot trust these numbers.
Senator, she is in charge of the border, the greatest humanitarian crisis in American history.
Your thoughts, Senator Ron Johnson.
Well, I'll challenge you said that they failed.
They didn't fail.
They succeeded.
They got exactly what they wanted in terms of the border.
They opened it up.
They wanted an open border.
They caused this problem and they did it for my standpoint.
There's only one reason, one explanation.
They wanted to bring a bunch of people in this country illegally.
They would be very grateful to Democrats and they would vote for Democrats if not this election sometime in the future.
There can be no other explanation for this clear and present danger That they have made America open to.
So she succeeded beyond their wildest dreams.
I'm not even sure they could believe that they got 6, 7, 8, 9 million people to come to this country.
So they succeeded in what they wanted to do, and that's what Americans need to understand.
This is the policies they are pursuing.
They are destructive.
We're going to be living with the negative consequences of their open border policy for years, if not decades to come.
The war on fossil fuels, I think it's important that people realize Trump is unveiling his energy policy because as a private sector guy, he understands That energy, power, is required for a successful economy.
The more of it, the cheaper it can be, the more successful your economy can be.
It impacts the price of every good and service.
Energy, and the Democrats' war on fossil fuel, is basically a self-inflicted wound.
It's driving up the costs.
It's making it more difficult for people to get by, particularly people at the lower end of the income spectrum, which are the exact people they purport to want to represent.
They don't.
They're doing them great harm.
One minute remaining, Senator.
As a businessman, can you tell the audience how catastrophic it would be when Kamala Harris says she wants to give $25,000 to first-time homebuyers?
What would that actually do to the housing market?
It'll drive up the cost of homes.
And again, it's just crazy.
Just like, you know, all these student loans is driving up the cost of education, really benefiting nobody other than further mortgaging our children's future.
So she'd do this with money we don't have, drive up our debt, drive up interest rates to eventually lead to some kind of debt bomb.
And at the same time, actually drive up housing costs.
It's insane.
It's a fantasy.
But again, the mainstream media won't point that out.
Senator, you are fighting for liberty and for America every day in D.C.

Charlie, this is an incredible place.
We're actually seeing, so you've been here all day.
I just got off the plane coming through.
When you look at the DNC and the RNC and the differences between the two, you see the reflection of the differences in the character of the two movements putting these here.
And so, And I don't know if people can kind of see and you guys can maybe like widen the shot just a little bit.
There's nobody on this street behind us here.
It's completely empty.
There's nobody walking around.
There's no one playing games.
That's the United Center right there.
It feels cold.
It is sterile.
It is lifeless.
It is child-free.
There are no signs of life.
But if you go inside, you get a cold, scripted, surgical, It's a clinical feel when you're in there, whereas the RNC, I had my kids, like, they were playing cornhole, they were running around, they were eating pizza, they were just messing around, doing stuff, there were rides, they were like, it was like a carnival atmosphere, it was fun.
And here, you get the elite, sterilized, controlled, scripted Aaron Sorkin, you know, West Wing style of government.
So Aaron Sorkin is the guy who wrote the West Wing.
Which is just this liberal fever dream of what they wanted the Clinton administration to be.
And he also wrote The Newsroom and a couple other things.
And so, this is the truth of what they will give you.
The truth is, it is hollow.
The truth is, the Democrat Party and their movement represent exactly this.
An empty street of nothingness.
Because it is all smoke and mirrors that goes on inside like a Hollywood production.
And the delegates aren't even here.
They're at the McCormick Place like halfway across town.
Yeah and the delegates are at a completely separate location.
And they come here tonight for the theater show.
But in the RNC Milwaukee it was buzzing with people.
It was a remarkable energy.
It was active.
People can go look at the videos.
People were walking around eating cheese curds.
Like Viva Frye was live streaming just like for hours on end walking up saying, oh there's this this influencer and that influencer and how's it going what
are you guys hearing etc etc and everybody was you could rub shoulders
with senators and so a delegate or just a media member could rub shoulders with
anybody who was there but this it is nothing. Is this typical for a Democrat
convention? This is typical? So actually this yes this is exactly so I was at
Philadelphia at the 2016 convention and from Philadelphia area already so I kind
know the area, but it was the same way.
And specifically, what was different was that the protests were all the way outside of the area.
No one was allowed in.
Delegates were bused in when they were needed, and then bused out when they were no longer needed, just like they'll be here today.
And you have, what do you see, Charlie?
Walls, fences, police, security.
So they know how to provide security, law enforcement, and all of these things when they want them to protect themselves.
This is where Barack Obama will be and Hillary and Joe Biden and Jill Biden, Joe Biden and Jill Biden.
Who are leaving tonight, by the way, will not be staying for Kamala Harris's nomination on Thursday.
Kind of funny how that works.
See, the guy who actually won the primary is being kicked out by his own party and is being summarily shipped off to California while his votes and his delegates are being handed to another candidate.
But of course, the Clintons will be here as well.
So Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, you've got what was that four, you know, three, three former presidents and well, I guess, you know, if you consider Joe Biden a former president.
Yeah, so what do you expect from Joe Biden tonight?
It's a very bizarre speech and they gave him the first night as a throwaway night.
I thought they were going to give him like Wednesday or Thursday with Kamala on stage.
No, this makes sense.
They want as much distance from him.
He's so unpopular.
He's so failed.
And they want to just act as if it's two different administrations?
You know what Politico Playbook said?
They called it, so the official title for tonight is, it's very Pelosian.
It's for the people.
So he's doing this for the people.
He's sacrificing his legacy, his career.
Yeah, his legacy, his career.
Nobody wants to hold a piece of because it's so bad.
But what it really is, it's good night and good luck, Joe.
You had a great run there, slugger.

And no, they want to get rid of him.
And think of it, they're going to talk about the accomplishments of his career.
So it's probably going to be a pretty short speech then.
Yeah, it's just, it's so insulting to him.
I'm going to be curious to talk to some of the Democrats here.
They seem okay with it though.
These are very, these are like inner Politburo Democrats though, the ones here.
But you know who's not here, that's the real story.
John Fetterman not showing up.
Is that right?
John Fetterman will not be here.
Why won't Fetterman not show up?
So Fetterman, if you remember, he was one of the guys that was really out there calling for Biden to stay in.
He said we shouldn't change horses in the middle of the stream.
You know, the brain dead going with the brain dead.
You know, like attracts like.
And so he wanted Biden to be there.
Biden, obviously, didn't go that way.
Fetterman's not showing up.
One of the big ones, though, that I'm keeping an eye out for is, of course, Josh Shapiro.
I think he'll be here.
So, it would make sense for him to be here, but I do note that he was not at this bus tour that was held yesterday in Western Pennsylvania, citing, according to Wei Jiajiang over at CBS, citing scheduling issues.
that he wasn't able to arrive and be part of that wonderful sheets experience that Kamala Harris and
Tim Walz give us. Now that could have been a legitimate scheduling issue, I don't know,
but when it's the Democrats, I never give them the benefit of the doubt. I'm always cynical when it
comes to them. So when you look at their movements, when you look at the fact that Joe and Jill will,
that means they won't be here, Charlie. They will not be on stage Thursday night when Kamala Harris
is nominated. Joe and Jill Biden will, they won't even be in the state. They won't even be in the
same time zone. I mean, that is crazy. And I have to imagine that there are people who are outside
this false Hollywood bubble.
I agree with you, but differently, because it won't be Joe, it'll be Jill.
threats little like you got you took me out I mean do you think I mean I would
if if you're gonna say yes I think there's I think it's gonna be a very
astute so to little it's sleeper side I agree with you but differently because
it won't be Joe it'll be Jill whoever she's right no no Jill speaks before him
oh that's interesting So Jill speaks before him tonight, so if there are any lines, like those easter eggs, like basically the shade war... Like for example, Jill says, and my husband received 16 million votes in the primary amongst
of you and more votes more votes than any other person in history on the nose
what else Jill Biden also might say something and we are the party of
democracy where the will of the people will always try and always something
along those lines where it's very because again think of it the name of
today's the you know theme is because Trump had this he was like make America
safe again make America rich you did what was it wealthy again was your night
with your big Illuminati pyramid and then so today is for the people and I'm
sure it you know for the party for the country will be the next ones but for
the people what people not the delegates not the voters not the people of the
Nobody voted for any of this program that's going through now.
And so this is the Democrats.
So if Jill were to do that, I imagine she would.
And I'm sure if Jill says anything, it'll be about Kamala.
Because that was really the two that came head to head all the way.
It started day one of the administration, really day one on the campaign trail, and then just grew and grew and grew and grew until Kamala was able to get the Obamas on her side and knife Joe Biden right out of office.
So Joe Biden, now there's a small chance that just Joe Biden goes off and goes crazy.
I don't think that's going to happen.
Would be amazing.
You are stuck with me, people.
You gotta listen to me for 40 minutes.
But I think that there might be a little bit of a bitter tone tonight.
Well, I think, but I think that's sort of built in, right?
It's because it's supposed to be the legacy, the legacy of service.
52 years, you know, and it's, you know, we can make all the jokes about how he's been there for 52 years and look how things have gone over the course of the last 52 years in this country.
But I do wonder, I do wonder if there will be any sense of this camaraderie from Jill to just say, no, that we, you know, we don't want to go for this.

Will any of the family be here?
Hillary's tonight.
Who?
Hillary.
Oh, so they put Hillary and Biden on the same night.
Tonight's loser night.
Is Bill tonight too?
I don't believe Bill is tonight.
Bill is Wednesday.
Bill's more popular than Hillary.
So Bill is Wednesday.
Michelle is tomorrow.
Is Barack tomorrow or is he Wednesday?
They want headliners every night.
Right, so we did the same thing, but they're putting their worst, like they have to have these guys in now, and then it'll go forward.
But by the way, the real thing that I'm going to be looking for from them is, and I still do think that the last card that they have to play is, will Joe Biden stay as president all the way through the election?
I told you, yes.
I don't know.
I don't know if I agree.
They might do the mid-October as ballots are just coming out.
But isn't part of the energy, though, that we want her to be the first female president?
Not that once she is, then it kind of deflates it?
Well, the issue is that after debates, Because, so, running as an incumbent, you give her the trappings.
She's behind the desk.
She's able to give speeches.
She's able to meet with world leaders.
And it's one-on-one.
And, of course, it would remove Trump's ability to say, if these things are so good, why aren't you doing them now?
Why don't you just take office now and do all of this?
You're there.
Why don't you guys reduce the grocery prices and help out with housing and do all of these things?
A YouGov poll came out today.
It showed that 40% of Americans say Harris is better equipped than Trump.
38% for Trump for lowering housing prices.
This is the problem that if we don't play offense on these issues, all summer you and I were saying, why are we not talking about housing?
I mentioned housing in my speech many times, right?
I lobbied for J.D.
Vance to put it in his speech and he did.
We did not focus on housing enough and now Kamala's going all in and we are, I don't know if I believe the poll, but we're tied effectively with Kamala Harris on the housing issue, which is, it shouldn't be even close.

So Kamala Harris finally took some questions this last weekend.

She was talking about, you have to understand the importance of our democracy.

That understanding the importance of this is the beautiful country, the beauty of our country, as the globe of a wonderful democracy.
What is she saying here?

Our election is about understanding the importance of this beautiful country of ours in terms of what we stand for around the globe as a democracy.
As a democracy.
We know there's a duality to the nature of democracy.
On the one hand, incredible strength when it is intact.
What it does for its people to protect and defend their rights, their liberty, their freedom.
Incredibly strong and incredibly fragile.
What was that?

Why are prices too high, Kamala Harris?
Who's in charge exactly?
You are the sitting Vice President of the United States.
Can't you get prices down?
Can't you do something about this?
She wants Venezuelan and Cuban-style price controls.

Every day prices are too high.
It feels so hard to just be able to get ahead.
The bills add up.
Food.
Rent.
Gas.
Back to school clothes.
Prescription medication.
The cost of food.
A loaf of bread costs 50% more.
Ground beef is up almost 50%.
There's a serious housing shortage.
The price of housing has gone up.
It's too difficult to build and it's driving prices up.
It is out of reach.
The size of down payments have gone up as well.
Costs are still too high.
There's not much left at the end of the month and prices are still too high.
I'm Donald Trump and I approve this message.
Too hard to build houses, too hard to buy groceries, too hard to be able to Make ends meet.
You see, the trick that the Kamala Harris campaign is doing of David Plouffe and all of those campaign experts, the trick that they're trying to pull on you is that she is somehow not currently in political power.
She is the sitting vice president of the United States.
She has power.
She did tie-breaking votes in the U.S.
Senate, as Senator Rick Scott and Senator Ron Johnson said.
Her own policies have driven high inflation, out-of-control spending, Kamala Harris is to blame for what we are seeing and the suffering that people are experiencing.
She takes another question from the press saying it's a mistake to ask the price tag of how much we're paying.
Joe Biden has added nearly nine trillion dollars in new debt since he became president.
Both Kamala Harris and Joe Biden.

You unveiled your economic policies last week.
Can you explain how you're going to pay for those and can you give us a sense of what
other policies you want to unveil going forward?
Sure, well, I mean you just look at it in terms of what we are talking about, for example,
around children and the child tax credit and extending the EITC.
That is at $6,000 for the first year of a child's life.
The return on that investment, in terms of what that will do and what it will pay for, will be tremendous.
We've seen it when we did it the first year of our administration.
We reduced child poverty by over 50%.
So that's a lot of the work.
And then what we're doing in terms of the tax credits, we know that there's a great return on that investment.
When we increase home ownership in America, what that means in terms of increasing the
tax base, not to mention property tax base, what that does to fund schools, again return
on investment.
What she is saying there is it doesn't matter the price tag.
What matters is how much power does the government get out of it.
Trillions and trillions of dollars of new spending.
She would bankrupt this country even further.
Hyperinflate us.
And remember, the communists must destroy private property, family, and religion.
And when the government gets bigger and bigger, why do you need family?
Why do you need to go to the church?
That is exactly her agenda that we are seeing put forward.
