Speaker Time Text
donald j trump
They said it was going to take four to five years.
He did it in four weeks.
That's when I said, if I get into this again, I'm going to make him the chairman of the Joint Chiefs, and that's what happened.
Great job.
And he did an incredible job in Iran.
I want to thank you very much.
Great job, General.
unidentified
Thank you.
donald j trump
Deputy Secretary of Energy and Purple Heart recipient, James Danley.
James, thank you very much, James.
I'm going to honor recipient, Captain Paris Davis.
Thank you.
Where are you?
Where might he be?
Uh-oh, look at you.
You're better looking than I am, I'll tell you that.
unidentified
Thank you very much.
donald j trump
We're also joined by the Marine Corps veteran who co-managed my 2024 campaign, a fantastic talent in many ways after he was wounded in battle for our country in Operation Desert Storm, Chris La Severa.
unidentified
So where is this experience of standing?
donald j trump
Thank you very much for being.
Thank you very much for being with your father.
It's very nice.
Every Purple Heart tells a story of courage, sacrifice, and purpose.
It speaks of a price paid for the soldier beside you, the country behind you, and the generations of Americans yet to come.
And we have some great generations to follow.
It's going to happen.
Those who wear this medal ran into bullets, faced ferocious bombs, and shed their blood on the field of battle.
We will never forget what they did.
We will always use them as an example of bravery and courage and strength.
And we will also always think when we look at them of our great American flag.
We want our great American flag to be strong and it's stronger than ever.
Since day one, my administration has used every power we have to fight for those who have fought for America in six months.
We have reduced the backlog of veterans' waitings.
And that waiting list was very long, Doug, wasn't it?
For the benefits, and by it's 37%.
So it's just, is that all you did, Doug?
37?
I don't know.
That's incredible, actually.
You're getting tremendous marks, and we appreciate it very much.
We process more than 2 million disability benefit claims this fiscal year on track for the most ever.
In fact, not even close.
We're slashing wait times at the VA medical centers and we're bringing back VA choice and VA accountability.
As you know, we had it.
And then the previous administration, let's call it the Biden administration, they decided to get rid of it.
And you know, choice is where if you wait in line for an extended period or you're not going to see a doctor for a while, you have the right to go out and get a doctor and we'll pay for it.
And you get yourself all fixed up real fast.
You don't have to wait six weeks, eight weeks, months like they were doing.
And VA accountability, I'm very proud of those.
We got them passed.
Actually, Doug, you were a member of Congress when we did.
You helped us a lot.
But we got them passed in the legislature, so they're with us forever.
And yet, Biden found a way to not use them.
But VA accountability, that's when we have bad people in the Veterans Association that were taking advantage of people, hurting people, and they weren't in prime time.
In prime time, they wouldn't have touched them.
But they weren't quite in prime time.
And they were doing bad things.
They were sadists.
They were thieves.
And some bad people.
We had 9,000 of them.
We fired every one of them.
And it was a great thing.
And then he put some of those people back.
I don't know why they did that, but they did it.
But we got them out again, I think, Doug, right?
So it's good.
So we had VA Choice VA accountability, something we're very proud of.
I'm also working to keep my promise to end veterans homelessness in America.
In May, I signed an executive order to open the National Center for Warrior Independence in Los Angeles, California, which will house up to 6,000 homeless vets.
unidentified
It's going to be beautiful.
donald j trump
And just last week I signed the VA Home Loan Program Reform Act, a big deal to help ensure no veteran is kicked out of their home for a late payment.
If you're a little bit late, don't worry about it.
And frankly, if you're a lot late, you don't have to worry about it either.
You just get it in when you can.
American veterans have done their duty for us.
And under the Trump administration, we are doing our duty for you.
Okay, that's the way it's supposed to be.
One of our brave soldiers with us today is Army Veteran Specialist Kevin Jensen.
In 2008, Specialist Jensen was a gunner in a Humphe racing to support a platoon ambushed by the Taliban in Afghanistan.
His vehicle was hit by a roadside bomb, flew 10 feet.
He flew 10 feet up into the air and exploded in flames.
The whole place was in flames, including, unfortunately, Kevin.
But he suffered deep third-degree burns and all over his body.
He was in trouble, big trouble, despite the agony.
He selflessly ran to the aid of his platoon leader who was engulfed or just absolutely.
Everyone thought he was gone.
He was engulfed in fire.
Sir, I've got you.
I've got you, sir, Kevin shouted and pulled his friend to safety.
Specialist Jensen earned the Purple Heart and he's here today with the platoon leader whose life he saved and our newly sworn in VA Undersecretary for Medical Affairs, Captain Sam Brown.
Kevin and Sam, please stand and I know Sam very well.
unidentified
Thank you.
Thank you very much.
donald j trump
You gotta, really, you did a great thing because I got to know him and his really beautiful wife.
You know, you're not allowed to say beautiful anymore.
It's political suicide, they say.
But I'll say it anyway.
And the most beautiful family you've ever seen.
And I just want to thank you for having done and you for your great bravery.
It's really great.
Thank you both for being here.
I appreciate it.
unidentified
Thank you.
donald j trump
Also, we lost this 24-year Army veteran Brian Willette.
In 2010, Staff Sergeant Willette was conducting a resupply mission in Afghanistan when his vehicle was struck by a roadside bomb.
You know who did the roadside bomb, right?
unidentified
Salome.
donald j trump
Where is he?
Where is he?
Where is Salome?
He was the father of the roadside bomb.
They say 92% of the people who got either killed or badly hurt, it was Salome.
He was the one that did it more than anybody else by far.
Leaving this person very seriously injured seven months later, Brian's teenage son, Private Kevin Willette, who was also deployed to Afghanistan, was standing guard when insurgent forces attacked with heavy fire.
The grenade knocked him out and knocked him right to the ground.
He was in big trouble.
But Kevin rose to his feet and successfully repulsed the attack on his camp, earning both the Purple Heart and Bronze Star for valor.
And I'd like to ask Brian and Kevin to please stand wherever you may be.
unidentified
Hi.
Good job.
Thank you.
Thank you.
I would say these are different types.
These are different types, right?
donald j trump
But same blood, that's all we care about.
unidentified
He's West Virginia.
donald j trump
That's very good.
You both look great.
Thank you both very much.
Appreciate that.
We're also joined by Marine Corps veteran Staff Sergeant Thomas Matteo, wounded six times during two tours in Vietnam.
At the end of his first tour, shrapnel sliced open his abdomen and he was left bleeding and they thought he was gone.
He was on the jungle floor for a long period of time, but he recovered and chose to go back and fight.
Thomas later continued to protect our citizens as police chief of Hialiya Gardens and Inverness.
That's two good places.
We love those places.
We love Florida.
Every time I ran there, I once, I got to love it, right?
Set records.
We have the all-time record, Thomas.
And he was one of the very rare six-time recipients of the Purple Heart.
Boy, you got hit.
Where's Thomas?
Six times.
You've got to be kidding.
That's pretty tough stuff.
And look at you.
You look fantastic.
So did it have any negative impact on you, would you say, now that you're recovered, fully recovered, would you say?
Do you get any extra aches and pains or anything?
unidentified
Two prosthetic knees, sir.
donald j trump
That's it.
unidentified
That's called the naked pain.
donald j trump
That's right.
I know I have the whole list.
It's amazing, and you look great.
Thank you very much.
unidentified
Thank you very much.
donald j trump
It's amazing.
Amazing.
Last year, after an assassin tried to take my life in Butler, Pennsylvania, Thomas generously mailed me one of his Purple Hearts.
Many of the other veterans showed me the same unbelievable gesture of kindness, including three-time Purple Heart recipient John Ford and Gerald Enter Jr., who also came along with us and did us a great, great favor.
Gerald, John, and Thomas, I want to thank you very much.
What a great honor to get those Purple Hearts.
I guess in a certain way it wasn't that easy for me either when you think of it, but you went through a lot more than I did, and I appreciate it all very much.
Thank you.
Thank you all.
Where are you?
Stand up, please.
Please.
Thank you very much.
unidentified
Thank you very much.
That was someday.
donald j trump
That was someday we had together there, huh?
That was someday we had together.
Thank you both very much.
Thank you all.
From the very beginning, our nation's fate has depended on heroes like those in the room who placed their bodies between the enemy fire and really that fire and the American freedom that we all love so much because of their sacrifice today.
Our flag is still waving proudly and our freedom is still safe and secure and our future is looking brighter and greater than ever.
Our country is doing really well.
We're very proud of our country.
We had that mission.
I watched those B-2 bombers with those pilots.
We had them in the Oval Office celebrating their incredible bravery and talent, pure talent.
Every single bomb hit its mark perfectly.
And then we had Tomahawks coming in, 30 of them coming in from submarines that were 300 miles away.
They all hit their mark too.
Look at this smile at you.
unidentified
You think that's your boy.
donald j trump
Look at his smile.
But pretty good, right?
Pretty good.
We had them and we celebrated it all together.
We actually had 52 tankers.
Can you imagine?
We had a lot of the people over to the White House to the gardens, and it was an incredible day.
It was a day of celebration.
They've been looking to do that for 22 years.
One of the pilots came up and said to me, you know, we've been waiting for 22 years, my predecessors, because he was a young guy, but he said, we've been practicing this three times a year for 22 years.
Who knew that, Pete?
I said, you mean you knew exactly what to do?
He said, every single year, three times a year, we'd practice for that specific event.
And you were the one that had the guts to do it, send us on our way.
I said, were you happy or unhappy about the fact that I sent you?
He said, we couldn't get it to the planes fast enough, right?
I said, well, you guys are different, but they're really talented people and special.
We've had some incredible success.
But I want to give a very special thanks to all of the Purple Heart recipients that are with us today and all over the country and all over the world, frankly.
And I'll now sign the proclamation officially declaring this as National Purple Heart Day.
Very special day.
Thank you very much, everybody.
unidentified
Thank you.
Thank you.
All right, Brother.
donald j trump
I know who I'm doing this men to.
Six times.
unidentified
Okay.
steve bannon
The president is at a ceremony honoring the Purple Heart recipients.
He's now going to sign a number of executive orders.
unidentified
We'll pick up the show after this.
donald j trump
And I think people are going to be taxes in the fight.
steve bannon
So we're going to play it by ear here.
unidentified
Let's go back and listen to the President of the States.
Thank you.
I got you.
steve bannon
Okay, the President is working for me as he normally does, an event commemorating Purple Heart and honoring Purple Heart recipients.
This is one of the president's naval aides right there.
The president working, shaking hands, making himself available as he always does at events like this.
You heard the music of the Marine Corps band.
unidentified
Can we go ahead and crank that music up, Tad, guys?
steve bannon
We're going to stick with this for a few minutes.
unidentified
You get to see the president.
His workday does events like this, meets people, makes decisions.
A lot going on very, of course.
steve bannon
The members of the media don't ask a few questions.
unidentified
There goes the president.
steve bannon
I believe we're going to have a press availability.
I think he may be going to Oval Office.
Pete Hegseth and the team, I think, spoke beforehand.
unidentified
Right there.
steve bannon
Okay, let's bring it in.
In fact, keep the shot for bringing it to the word.
Okay, we're going to a lot of activity this afternoon in the White House and decisions made.
A new temporary governor of the Federal Reserve, the chairman of the Council on Economic Advisors, has been named.
We're going to get to that.
Philip Patrick's going to join us.
Also, Joe Allen, a big event in the world of artificial intelligence.
Let's go ahead.
Tell you what, we're going to hold Stephen Mirin for Philip Patrick.
Let's go ahead and play the cold opening.
Let's play the cold open for Joe Allen, and I'll bring Joe Allen in.
kasie hunt
Hi, everyone.
I'm Casey Hunt.
Welcome to the arena.
It's wonderful to have you with us on this Thursday right now.
Breaking news as we come on the air.
President Trump has just decided who he will nominate to fill a vacancy on the Federal Reserve's Board of Governors.
That news happening as a sweeping new set of tariffs comes into effect.
The markets just closed.
The Dow and the SP both closing down with the Dow down almost 300 points, the NASDAQ up just barely.
So, who is this person?
What do we know about them?
kristen holmes
Well, he currently is the chair of the Council of Economic Advisors.
He has become really close to President Trump, an advisor, but also a media personality in some ways.
He was communicating to the public.
He was doing TV constantly during the pushing of the big, beautiful bill, quote-unquote, big beautiful bill.
He was also meeting with lawmakers, again, top economic advisor.
But the real thing to point out here is that this seems as though it's going to be somewhat of a shadow position on the board.
We know that Mirren is a loyalist.
Stephen Mirren is his name.
This is a temporary position.
It's only going to be through January.
And we were expecting something sort of like this because of all the criticism that the federal board has gotten, the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, particularly from President Trump, his team, and from really Mirren himself.
We have heard him be critical of the fact that there have not been lower interest rates, among other things.
So now you're going to see this loyalist who's going to sit in this position on the board, at least just temporarily, through January, when he's going to be re-upped and they're going to find someone to fill that role permanently.
Just to be very clear, part of this whole thing is really based in President Trump's intense dislike and anger at the Federal Reserve Chair, Jerome Powell.
We know that he has wanted to replace him, but he has been advised that that is a bad move, particularly for the markets.
Wall Street would not go for something like that.
But now you're seeing him be able to have an opening to put at least a loyalist on the board of governors to have readbacks on everything that is going on there and to have a voice in the room who believes what President Trump believes.
steve bannon
Okay, welcome.
You're in the war room.
It is Thursday, 7 August, year of our Lord 2025.
Thank you for being here for at least the next hour and a half.
Although that may be truncated also since the president, I think he's going back to the Oval Office.
He's running approximately two hours behind on his schedule.
So he's got much more to do.
I think he's more executive orders assigned.
I'm pretty sure he's going to do a press available.
But anyway, obviously with our coverage wall to wall from the White House, Brian Glenn is over there right now running around.
Big announcement today.
Philip Patrick's going to be here in a few minutes to address this.
This is Dr. Stephen Murin.
He's been on the show a bunch of times.
He is the chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors.
This is where Hassett had that job in the first term.
It's really the collection of economists and White House economists that do a ton of modeling.
He was very important during the Big Beautiful bill.
As you remember, we would have him on the show.
He talked about the supply-side nature of the tax cut, etc.
Very good guy, safe pair of hands.
This is only an interim appointment.
He does have to get Senate confirmed, but this is only last, I think, until January.
The other governor stepped down.
I think she was in kind of disagreement with some of the policies, I think, of President Trump.
I'm not so sure of Jerome Powell, but she went out in kind of a huff.
So Mirin will be here.
As you know, we pushed the great Judy Shelton.
We think it's very important to have a voice on the board of governors of the Federal Reserve that really understands gold and makes the case for gold and makes a case for a solid currency and something that's got some backing to it.
Judy Shelton didn't make it.
Like I said, this is interim.
They're going to name the more permanent one, I think, probably in November, December.
That'll also have to go through Senate confirmation.
And we are continuing because really ours wasn't about Judy being the interim.
It was about being the full-time.
So it's still open.
President said, I think he looked at 10 potential candidates and chose one that he knew very well.
A big announcement day in artificial intelligence.
We do have, I think, a short call open for Joe Allen.
Let's go ahead and play that.
We'll bring Joe in.
unidentified
OpenAI is offering its chat GPT enterprise products to federal agencies for just a dollar.
It'll be available to the executive branch for an entire year.
This comes after OpenAI was among several tech firms approved for a federal artificial intelligence vendor list.
This is the ORP.
It looks very cool, but it's basically just a fancy camera that's able to look at you and tell whether you're a real human or not.
In a world of deep fakes and online bots snagging the best deals, this shiny chromed white ball or camera could help prove that you're a human.
sam altman
We wanted a way to make sure that humans stayed special and central in a world where the internet was going to have lots of AI-driven content.
unidentified
Then the photo and eye scan.
The orb is right now verifying your humanity.
sam altman
32 months ago, we launched ChatGPT.
And since then, it has become the default way that people use AI.
About 700 million people use ChatGPT every week and increasingly rely on it to work, to learn, for advice, to create.
Today, finally, we're launching GPT-5.
GPT-5 is a major upgrade over GPT-4 and a significant step along our path to AGI.
Now it's like talking to an expert, a legitimate PhD-level expert in anything, any area you need on demand that can help you with whatever your goals are.
This is an incredible superpower on demand that would have been unimaginable at any previous time in history.
You get access to an entire team of PhD-level experts in your pocket helping you with whatever you want to do.
steve bannon
Okay.
One of the things we try to do on the show is to make sure that you get the underlying trends and things that are, you know, we do news of the day and you've got to be up to speed on that, but things that are more signal and less of the noise.
And this is one of them.
That's why we started the morning show with Alex deGrosse about the converging forces that are coming together in modern American politics to actually redo the House of Representatives in which the Democrats are at full meltdown.
This is another one.
Joe Allen, our expert on all things transhumanism, particularly artificial intelligence.
Joe, first off, this is another huge people should understand.
These are now increasing at accelerating at an accelerating rate.
This is GP5.
We launched, was it two Davis's ago?
It was two and a half years ago that you launched, I think, the first GPT?
I don't think it was three years ago.
I think it was two years ago.
Anyway, I'll let you remind me.
And the buried lead here, 700 million people a day, or a week, I think they said, use chat GPT.
That is 700 million.
That is just under, what, 10% of the world's population?
But if you take adults, right, it's got to be, what, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19% of adults.
So pretty stunning.
What do you think about this launch today?
Was this ahead of schedule, behind schedule?
Has it been the upgrade that a lot of people in this area were talking about?
joe allen
Well, Steve, the reaction right now to GPT-5 as various experts are allowed to play with it and from some of the people who were given the preview, it's pretty subdued.
People are pretty disappointed.
Mainly because they've been working on this for nearly three years, maybe a bit longer, with billions of dollars going in.
So people expected a bit more.
Now, the real question isn't, is this AGI, is this artificial general intelligence?
Nor is it, will GPT-5 replace all coders and white-collar workers?
The answer to both of those, no.
The real question is, where does this model stand on the graph of increasing capabilities for AI?
And that's a question that'll be answered over the next few days as more and more people rake it over.
Looking at the internal benchmarks, it is definitely an improvement over GPT-4 and most other models with some domains accepted.
The most important, Steve, is encoding, especially how long it takes to code.
So there's an organization meter, for instance, that tracks how long it takes for an AI model to perform a task.
This represents a major increase in efficiency and speed.
GPT-5 is about 50% faster than its predecessor.
And there's other elements too.
The reduction in hallucination, again, from their internal testing, we'll just have to see over the next few days if it really holds up to that claim.
But maybe more important even than its capabilities is how quickly and easily artificial intelligence is saturating all these different sectors of society from school to medicine to government.
You heard Sam Altman during his presentation today during the launch presentation pitching GPT-5 As a reliable medical expert to help guide you through whatever medical condition or issues you're dealing with.
Musk has pushed Grok for similar purposes.
Greg Brockman from OpenAI, similar things, and more and more doctors are relying on it.
Remember, Dr. Oz believes that a physician will be negligent in the near future if he doesn't refer back to an AI.
So the saturation of the federal government with AI models, as you heard there, OpenAI is offering GPT for a dollar, basically for free, to the entire executive branch.
Other models are being incorporated.
All of these critical areas from education to medicine to governance itself are being just completely inundated with AI as a source of valid information and oftentimes as an authority, a PhD-level authority on this information.
And just to tie it all up with a real bright and shiny bow, you also saw there the expansion of what's now known as World, used to be known as WorldCoin or World ID.
This is an enterprise for digital identity that Sam Altman initially invested in and continues to boost.
The idea is that as the online environment becomes more and more suffused with bots, Forbes recently reported that over 50% of online activity and traffic is consisting of bots, that you will need some sort of biometric identity to prove your humanity to the world.
If you look at the entire system as a whole, it undoubtedly looks like the digital prison that the most paranoid observers often call it to be.
steve bannon
I need you to hang on because I got a bunch of questions from that.
We're going to take a short commercial break.
And of course, Philip Patrick's going to join us.
Joe Allen is here.
A major release years in the making on artificial intelligence.
I know you said from the experts, they're not blown away, but man, just some of the stats you gave there kind of, I think, blows me away.
But anyway, Joe Allen will stick around.
Chat GPT 5 released today.
Rickards Warroom, you know, Jim Rickerts, trying to get Jim on tomorrow, if we can pull it off.
Geopolitics, intelligence, national security, capital markets, the economy, all of it.
Plus, he gives you a complete rundown of what's happening in Wall Street down to talking about individual stocks.
Go to RickardsWarroom.com.
It's a landing page that we have for Jim.
You get access to strategic intelligence.
Read what chairman of the board and CEOs throughout the world are reading.
You can get up to speed on this.
Plus, he gives you a free book.
Guess what's called?
Money, GPT, Artificial Intelligence in Fiat Currency.
Back in a moment.
kristen holmes
Kill America's Voice family.
steve bannon
Are you on Getter yet?
unidentified
No.
kristen holmes
What are you waiting for?
unidentified
It's free.
It's uncensored, and it's where all the biggest voices in conservative media are speaking out.
steve bannon
Download the Getter app right now.
It's totally free.
unidentified
It's where I put up exclusively all of my content 24 hours a day.
steve bannon
You want to know what Steve Bannon's thinking?
Go to Getter.
unidentified
That's right.
You can follow all of your favorites.
Steve Bannon, Charlie Hook, Jack the Soviet, and so many more.
Download the Getter app now, sign up for free, and be part of the new thing.
steve bannon
Okay, hold on it down.
By the way, I'm up on Getter non-stop.
If you go to Getter, you can see exactly what we're thinking about in the war room before the show, particularly early in the morning or late at night.
972 Patriot, Patriot Mobile.
Stop giving your money to people that hate you.
Go to the Switch today.
You know what a great company it is.
You know what a great service it provides.
You know how they support the causes you support.
In fact, if it wasn't for the team at Patriot Mobile, we would be nowhere in this redistricting.
Corny's saying today that he's had an assurance, I think, from Cash Patel, that FBI is going to assist local law enforcement in rounding up the Democrats.
Now, I don't know what that means because I'm not sure.
Local law enforcement in Illinois is going to be rounding up these recalcitrant, cowardly House Democrats.
But anyway, the drama continues.
Tomorrow morning, I have a complete update.
I'll also be updating on Getter this evening after the show.
972 Patriot, make sure you go talk to a U.S. citizen right now that's working at their call centers.
Check it out.
Do it.
Make the switch today.
So Joe Allen, first of all, tell people the hallucinations thing is a very big deal.
Tell them what that means because hallucinations is one of the things that scares people the most about artificial intelligence, sir.
joe allen
Yeah, Steve, the hallucinations are basically the system simply lying to the user.
When an AI is asked a question, its job is to fill in an allotted amount of space with words.
And oftentimes it will just veer off course and begin to invent things and present them with full authority.
When you look at some of the earlier models that GPT put out, some of the streamlined models, you would get as much as 18%, even up to like 40% plus hallucinations out of those models when they were doing the testing.
It doesn't mean every single interaction is going to produce that, just when they're doing the testing.
With the new model, with GPT-5, at least with the internal testing, they've reduced this dramatically, like 5x on the various benchmarks so that O3, for instance, would hallucinate, say, 5% of the time on a specific benchmark.
Apparently, and again, we'll have to see over time, GPT-5 has reduced that to roughly 1%.
The reason it's really important, aside from accuracy in the models, is that if corporations are going to adopt this en masse, and they are, and if educational institutions and government agencies are going to adopt it, there has to be a sense of trust that it's not just going to be spitting out invented facts or entire narratives that were invented whole time.
steve bannon
This is very thinking.
You could go in and say, hey, I got migraine headaches and ask it, I need, what are some cures?
What are amazing cures or great cures for migraine headaches?
In hallucinations, the AI would come up with just make-up studies, make up reports.
You could actually be taking poison.
I mean, you don't know.
It's hallucinating.
It was doing things that people would do when they're on drugs or an LSD or whatever, just creating stuff out of thin air.
And a lot of people early on when these things are first released would take everything as the gospel truth.
It's quite, now they've reduced it dramatically, but it's quite far from being the gospel truth, correct?
joe allen
Yes, absolutely.
And again, these are internal tests.
So it's quite possible that the hallucinations are maybe even as bad as they ever were.
It's just going to take time for a large number of people to work through the system's outputs to see exactly how it's performing.
steve bannon
These massive models that require all these data centers and all this energy, and these guys aren't even talking about climate change anymore because it's the rush to transhumanism, right?
To go past Homo sapien.
You talked about a 50% increase in computing power, computing time.
Dude, in any other industry, that would be like jaw-dropping.
Yet you kind of downplayed it.
Is it because other metrics mean more that they're compared to?
And the people are, I'm not saying it's a yawn, but it's kind of like, okay, but it's not everything.
And did they overpromote AGI?
Like people thought since they, as we said, hey, something must be happening the next 48 hours because they're talking about AGI a lot, sir.
joe allen
Yeah, Steve, I think you really hit it there.
That Sam Altman has really been out there for the last month, kind of seeding this idea of an expert in every pocket, seeding this notion of super intelligence as a goal, but maybe one that is right within the reach of the company.
That doesn't seem to be the case at all.
And that's one of the issues with overselling is that once something is actually presented, it better live up to something like that.
The whole notion of transhumanism is, one hopes, a massive oversell.
But that adoption rate is really, really important because if a huge number of people right now, it's 700 million, not to mention all the people who use, say, Grok or Meta's AI or Claude from Anthropic, all of the people using this have put their trust in it.
And all of these investors have poured billions of dollars in under the assumption that something like the promise of AGI is going to be spat out the other end.
Right now, not so much, but again, the really important thing isn't necessarily where it's at right now, but where it is going, what it's telling, what this release tells us about where it's going.
Just to mention one thing, Steve, you'd ask, like, are there other metrics?
There's one key test that a lot of people look to as is essential to sussing out whether a general intelligence is emerging.
It's known as ARC AGI.
It was produced and developed by the team head by Francois Chalet, if I'm pronouncing that French name correctly.
And the idea is a kind of puzzle, right?
You have a reasoning puzzle that shows certain patterns that the computer or human has to complete.
Grok, Grok 4, actually performs better, apparently, than GPT-5.
So you can, it's complicated, but you can see how on certain metrics, such as the time horizon, such as how efficiently or how quickly it can code, say, a two and a half hour long task, the reasoning capability falls behind.
But again, if everyone is adopting this, in some ways, all of these statistics matter less than the fact that human beings en masse are simply turning to machines for better answers than humans.
steve bannon
700 million people a week.
Joe Ellen, we got to bounce.
Where do people go to get all your content, brother?
Because it is cutting edge and there's no hallucinations.
Zero.
Where do you go?
joe allen
I certainly hope not, Steve.
You can find everything at J-O-E-B-O-T-X-Y-Z Joebot.xyz.
And I will see everybody in DC very shortly.
steve bannon
Thank you, brother.
Appreciate you.
joe allen
Thank you, sir.
steve bannon
Philip Patrick joins.
Philip, I had you on here.
I want to talk about the temporary governor at the Fed board, Steve Mirror, but I got to ask you, I become more convinced of this every day, and I've never asked you this, but I got to throw it out.
The more we cover artificial intelligence, the more you see the crypto, the more you thank God for good old gold, don't you?
I mean, it has a certain anchor to human experience, right?
And you've got all this, it's so hard to think through where artificial intelligence is going.
It's so hard.
We see the complexity of artificial intelligence.
You add CRISPR, you add all these other things on it.
I think gold is going to be more popular.
And I'm not predicting about a price, but I think it's going to be more popular or looked at by mankind as something that's absolutely stable as you go to all these cryptocurrencies and fiat currency kind of turns into a digital fiat currency.
Your thoughts, sir?
phillip patrick
Yeah, I think you're absolutely correct.
And it is a frightening world we're heading into.
But even more than that, gold throughout history has shown itself to be a safe haven asset.
It's a contrarian asset and it performs during tough times.
We're not seeing that with crypto.
We're seeing explosions there for sure.
What we don't understand with cryptocurrency is its relationships with other asset classes.
And at least for now, things like Bitcoin seem to be moving in lockstep with the NASDAQ.
What we're talking about here is a contrarian asset with thousands of years of history.
We understand how it moves in relation to other assets.
It's the opposite end of the spectrum.
I'm a gold guy and I will remain a gold guy.
steve bannon
I mean, it kind of makes sense because since we came off gold in what, 1971 with Nixon, you see the deterioration of these fiat currencies and the printing of these fiat currencies.
You would almost think the human aspect, even the digital side, is going to be the same.
This is why gold's always been, we say it's a hedge.
It's a kind of an anchor to windward, is it not?
phillip patrick
It's exactly it.
An anchor's the best word to use.
Listen, when we were on a gold standard, things like runaway inflation just didn't exist.
I mentioned last time I was on prior to the creation of the Federal Reserve, inflation averaged 0.4% a year.
Since the Fed have got involved, cheap money, juicing the markets, we've created bubble after bubble after bubble, each one bigger and more perilous than the last.
So the evidence is there.
It is clear to see.
steve bannon
President Trump announced today, and it kind of makes sense, you had this interim period of, I think, seven months, right, for a governor, but they still have to get confirmed.
And he picks Steve Miran, right he keeps his job because you can be dual had it if you have a government job you can't have a private secretary so someone like larry kudlow would have been ruled out as you know we've been very much uh pushing judy shelton twofold number one because of what happened to her the first time but really because i think it's very important very important to have at least someone as a governor that actually i think not just understands gold but
makes the case for gold as a stabilizing influence in our currency.
Your thoughts, sir?
phillip patrick
I couldn't agree more.
And it goes deeper than that.
She's been a critic of central bank secrecy and unaccountability for years.
She has been, as you mentioned, an open defender of sound money.
She's floated the idea essentially of a modern gold standard.
She's talked about the Fed's balance sheet.
And I love the term that she used, a weapon of mass distortion.
Meaning she understands very well the dangers of easy money.
She's also, and I like this as well, she's skeptical of the Fed's dual mandate.
She said she wants to focus back on stable prices instead of chasing full employment.
And this is sort of a tricky point, right?
Because we're talking about people's jobs here.
But ultimately, it's been this sort of prioritizing of full employment that has led the Fed, in my mind, to sort of stimulate and fuel these bubbles.
Look at the Bank of England as an example.
They have a dual mandate as well.
But they prioritize stable prices.
So I think she's a very good pick for Fed chair.
Ultimately, the issues that we have at the moment would have been mitigated with sound monetary policy.
And she's a believer in that.
I think it's going to be a tough one, though.
Wall Street and the globalist crowd have hated her ideas for years.
But if she follows through and can get the nomination, I think we could see more discipline in monetary policy and more transparency in how decisions are made.
And I think it's very important if we want to reshape the Fed and create more trust.
So if it was my pick, I'd pick Shelton as well for whatever it's worth.
unidentified
Let's say this.
steve bannon
Wall Street, when War Room pushed it, Wall Street did not stand up and salute.
OK, they are not.
The last thing they want is Judy Shelton in their life.
We're going to take a short commercial break.
So I'll ask Philip to stay over about how people can engage with Birch Gold, because I think now more than ever, we're also going to talk about Lula.
You would think with the tariffs and everything President Trump is talking about and some of the sanctions on the judge, they'd be trying to calm it down.
He's not.
He's actually talking about rallying the bricks now for a second wave of activity.
Short commercial break.
Take your phone out if you want to get some free information.
It's spectacular free information, Birch Gold.
You text Bannon, B-A-N-N-O-N-N-9-8-9-8-9-8.
You get the ultimate guide for investing in gold and precious metals in the age of Trump.
This is totally free as all the content we put out in conjunction with our partners over at Birch Gold.
Short commercial break.
Philip Patrick on the other side.
unidentified
Here's your host, Stephen K. Mann.
steve bannon
So, Philip, Lula, instead of trying to take the temperature down, he's throwing more gasoline on this because he understands.
Folks, I can tell you, if you want a trigger word for the President of the United States, it's de-dollarization.
That's when Philip, remember, Philip, he spent a week in Rio and they went out of their way not to mention it.
They were doing bilat deals, everything in the world to basically de-dollarize, but they would never say it.
Now, Lula, since there's a big fight about the Bolsonaro situation, tariffs, all of it, he's out today, I think, saying that he wants another round of bricks about actually driving the process of de-dollarization.
phillip patrick
philip patrick yeah he is just refusing to shut his mouth and i i can hear china cringing but now he's formally initiated a wto dispute uh consultation to challenge the 50 tariffs on on brazilian exports.
He's trying to frame it as a violation of global trade norms.
He is now refusing to engage directly with Trump, which I don't think is going to work in his favor, knowing President Trump.
But the concerning part is he's now pushing a coordinated block-wide response, planning calls with Modi, with China's to try and craft a joint strategy.
And this is what we've been talking about, right?
Initially silent, but now the calls are getting louder and louder and louder.
You know, it's no surprise to us, but like I said, if I'm China, they need a little bit more time.
Lula needs to quiet down, but he is refusing to do it.
steve bannon
You know, we partnered with you guys four years ago.
You and I talked about how do we help people understand this?
How do we help them understand as a hedge?
And we decided that people didn't really understand.
In fact, many people in business economics don't understand the concept of the prime reserve currency and how important the dollar is to the global system.
And so we started on the end of the dollar empire because we said, hey, whether we should be the prime reserve currency should be a national debate because it comes with all types of responsibilities.
However, you just can't come off it.
If you come off it, it could be like the British after World War II, where the economy just kind of collapses.
And so we've done now seven installments on the end of the dollar empire.
Just go to birchgold.com, promo code Bannon, you get it all free.
We're working on number eight and nine because Philip and the team took an entire team down to Rio and I think gave better wall-to-wall coverage than anybody where we really understood how the world, and particularly the world that is anti-Western and particularly anti-American, you know, the Chinese Communist Party, the Brazil are under Lula, not Bolsonaro.
But even people like, although India's pledged, you know, field team, you know, India's a major strategic partners, we're getting crossways with those guys now.
Of course, Russia's going to have this summit.
I just want to talk about how people work with you.
I think a great way to do it is come in and get information like the ultimate guide for investing in gold and silver totally free or end of the dollar empire where you learn the nomenclature, you understand debt, deficit, what's happened to destroy the value in the dollar.
Philip Patrick, how do people work with you guys at Birch Gold to talk about the ownership of physical gold?
And I'm telling you folks, the more we go down the AI rabbit hole, the more you're going to want some physical gold, sir.
phillip patrick
I couldn't agree more.
And I'll say I'm very proud of the information that you put out, that we put out.
I think it is absolutely fantastic.
I think everybody should start there, get end of the dollar empire reports.
It'll give you a good understanding and sort of basis so you can get the context of where we are today.
Birchgold.com forward slash bannon.
That'll get them access to the reports.
Also a free guide on how and why to invest in gold under a Trump administration.
So birchgold.com forward slash Bannon or text Bannon to 989898.
People have to understand how important this is today.
You know, I speak to people a lot and they feel like a bet on gold is a bet against the Trump administration.
And I want to make very clear, that is not the case at all, right?
Gold has, in my mind, transcended politics in an era of huge deficit spending debt.
It has.
People need to remember under Trump's first administration, gold grew 50%.
And that was in a climate where the economic fundamentals were very strong.
Trump's got a tougher job in front of him today.
And I think gold will continue to perform through this administration and the next.
So birchgold.com forward slash bannon.
Just get the information.
steve bannon
I mean, you think of the forces out there.
As long as these central banks are buying at record rates, as you know, the first six months of this year, this is after three, I think two or three solid years of record rates of buying gold.
The Chinese central banks, all these central banks are buying at gold, and I'm telling you, at record rates.
And with Lula stirring up the pot, they're going to be buying even more.
Philip Patrick, thank you for joining us on the day that we announced the interim governor over at the Federal Reserve.
Thank you, sir.
phillip patrick
Thank you, Steve.
steve bannon
Judy Shelton should have that permanent seat.
She's a perfect pick for right now.
And President Trump picked her before.
We're going to get into all that, I think, Early next week to go through the whole history of Judy Shelton and why people, why Wall Street wants to keep people that have a great affinity and knowledge of gold off of the board of governors of the Federal Reserve.
The six o'clock show, I can tell you, is going to be absolutely lit.
We're going to start with: we got Harnwell, we got geopolitics, geoeconomics, all of it.
You do not want to miss this.
We're loaded up in the 6 o'clock hour.
Including President Trump tomorrow, people don't know this.
It's going to be a major kind of a peace conference signing ceremony.
It's going to be quite extraordinary.
President Trump is actually quite on a roll right now.
So it's going to be, we're going to tee you up tonight for what's going to happen tomorrow at the White House.
