steve bannon
This is the primal scream of a dying regime.
unidentified
Pray for our enemies.
Because we're going medieval on these people.
steve bannon
I got a free shot on all these networks lying about the people.
unidentified
The people have had a belly full of it.
peter navarro
I know you don't like hearing that.
I know you try to do everything in the world to stop that, but you're not going to stop it.
It's going to happen.
jake tapper
And where do people like that go to share the big lie?
unidentified
MAGA Media.
jake tapper
I wish in my soul, I wish that any of these people had a conscience.
unidentified
Ask yourself, what is my task and what is my purpose?
steve bannon
If that answer is to save my country, this country will be saved.
unidentified
War Room, here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
peter navarro
Hey, Peter K. Navarro, and for Stephen K. Bannon right here in Bannon's War Room.
We've got a fast, good show for you today.
We're going to have Carrie Lake come up in the next segment, and she's going to give us a, I guess, view from the front lines of the border war which Kamala Harris is waging on the American people.
Waging particularly on black, brown, and blue-collar Americans who are losing their jobs and seeing their wages plummeting.
The border war of Kamala Harris also on women of this country who just grotesquely are being raped and murdered by illegal aliens.
That's real.
Read it in the newspapers.
And on top of all that, there's thousands of Americans dying of fentanyl that's coming across the border via communist China.
So Carrie Lake, the hopefully next senator from the great state of Arizona, we need to get her take on what's going down at the border.
And frankly, figure out why she's running behind Donald Trump in the state of Arizona.
We need to we need to close that gap, Kerry.
And we want to kind of have a deep talk about just what they're doing in Arizona to achieve that result.
At the bottom of the hour, boy, did I have an unexpected Amazing Labor Day with my fiancé.
We went and saw the Reagan film, which critics have been trying to suppress.
It was funny.
I went on Rotten Tomatoes and Figuring that people are going to hate the damn thing.
But predictably, it had like a 15% rating by the critics, but a 98% rating by the audience.
You know, that's your skizz in between.
I mean, every one of these movie critics, except me today, when I'm doing my Siskel and Ebert impersonation at the bottom of the hour, they're just a bunch of liberal woke folks watching I don't know.
What's on film today when you go to the theater?
It's either kid stuff, violence, or kid stuff or violence.
What happened to the great movies?
Well, Reagan is one of them.
I'll tell you why everyone needs to be encouraged to watch that movie, because anyone who watches that movie must vote for Donald John Trump.
The parallels between Reagan's battles With the Soviet Union and Donald John Trump's battles with Communist China are so very, very striking.
And the surprise pop-up in that movie was this mysterious hippie.
He called him Dana throughout the film.
And he was the guy who wrote, tear down that wall, Mr. Gorbachev.
In that famous speech, it turns out to be a good friend of mine, Congressman Dana Rohrabacher.
I'd forgotten that part of his resume.
And he's actually in my Death by China film.
In fact, he has the last word in my Death by China film.
So I'm going to give like an extended riff on that film.
And I really need you folks to go watch that thing because it's not what you expect.
It has a beautiful mechanism to tell a story not about Reagan but about the strategy to defeat the Soviet Union and the parallels to what we need to do to Take communist China and turn it to the dustbin of history, at least with respect to its imperial ambitions.
It's important.
But the next thing I want to do for the rest of this segment, really, is I want to do two things with respect to the Democrat presidential nominee, Kamala Harris.
OK, so.
You gotta do me a favor, everybody associated with the Trump campaign, everybody out there who's a commentator in conservative TV, radio, whoever you are, Sean, Laura, Jesse, my brother Rob Schmidt or Greg Kelly at Newsmax, here's the thing.
I am urging you from this day forward, never, ever, ever to refer to Kamala Harris by her first name.
Only her first name.
Kamala, Kamala, Kamala.
She is not a soccer star.
Okay?
Pele, I get it.
Messi, I get it.
Okay?
But, but when you use Kamala these days, it does not do us any good.
Works in the other direction.
It personalizes her and it creates a favorable impression.
We haven't been able to do what needs to be done based on her resume.
Turn Kamala into a four-letter word like Hillary was.
So stop doing that, okay?
No more Kamala.
The only exception to that rule is if you use it with a Trump-like nickname.
So, ode or homage to that famous, yes, pop music.
Kama-chameleon.
That's not bad.
Kama-liar.
That's not bad, but we're having a wake right now, okay?
We're burying Kamala as a single-use name, okay?
Think about it.
When was the last time you heard somebody refer to Donald John Trump favorably or affectionately or at all simply as Donald?
The only time you ever hear Donald is if it's got a THE in front of it, and it's a pejorative when people do that, right?
So cut the Kamala crap, okay?
Cut the Kamala crap.
Please pass that on.
Some of my friends in the social media, please put that out there.
Everybody, everybody, send this out right now.
It's not doing...
The Trump campaign, a single bit of good to ever refer to this woman by her first name.
She is not Paley.
She cannot bend them like Paley or Beckham.
She is not messy.
She is a mess.
She is a hot mess.
She is a hot, hot mess.
I will harp on this tomorrow morning.
I'll be hosting the 10 to noon show as well.
And tomorrow, I'm going to go full out bore on what you're about to see in the following clip.
So Denver, uh, yeah, wait, wait a minute.
Let me set this up.
unidentified
Y'all, y'all Denver, y'all Denver, baby.
peter navarro
Come on, baby.
Give me that.
Give me that clip, baby.
unidentified
Come on, baby, I want the girl, girl in the hood clip, baby.
No, no, no, no, the black girl in the hood, baby.
The black girl on the bus from the hood, baby.
Come on, vote for me, baby, because I'm the black girl from the hood.
I'm not that, I'm not that middle class girl from Berkeley.
No, no, no, no, no, I'm the black girl.
peter navarro
Play that for me, Denver.
unidentified
You better thank a union member for sick leave.
You better thank a union member for paid leave.
You better thank a union member for vacation time.
We gonna beat him in November.
peter navarro
Oh, get ready to play that again, Denver, because I can't get enough of that.
Okay?
What the hell is that?
You know what that is?
That's called coding in the trade.
That's a technique people used to get away with before the age of television and the internet and radio when they could slip between audiences.
Right?
Slip between audiences and you talk like they're from, I don't know, Hastings Law School.
I'm from Hastings Law School and I'm running for DA.
Please vote for me.
I speak perfect English and I'm just like you.
Okay, that's fine.
That was a nice tea party at the country club in Silicon Valley trying to raise a million dollars from the white folk there.
How about this?
We gotta win in November!
We gotta win in November!
I'm gonna win in November!
And boy, the labor union, you thank a union member!
unidentified
You thank a union member for the fair wage!
peter navarro
What's that?
That's demeaning.
How do you feel, Detroit, when she walks into your audience and talks down to you as a middle-class Berkeley-ite trying to speak ghetto?
They call it black English.
I'm just calling it ghetto.
Okay?
What is that?
unidentified
How did somebody... Look.
peter navarro
It's like they say that golf doesn't build character, it reveals it.
It's the same thing with politics.
Sometimes, sometimes it takes only one thing, one thing, to reveal the character of somebody in a political campaign.
For me, Tim Walz, What might it have been?
Oh, yeah!
While J.D.
Vance was riding to the sound of the guns in Iraq, as Steve Bannon might say, Tim Walz was running away.
That's all I need to know about Tim Walz.
For Kamala Harris, if she's pulling that Kama-chameleon stuff, you see what I did there?
I used her first name, but it was with something.
Kama-chameleon.
It thinks she can go, like, in and out of different audiences.
See, that's the thing.
It's like, she's so used to not going in front of the press that she doesn't think there's cameras there, I guess.
Right?
Play it one more time.
Please, then.
unidentified
You better thank a union member for sick leave.
You better thank a union member for paid leave.
You better thank a union member for vacation time.
We gonna beat him in November.
peter navarro
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Bye.
We gonna.
We gonna.
All right.
Tomorrow morning at 10 a.m.
Eastern Time, I'm going to take that woman down.
Because it's not just that.
I'm going to take you back in a little time capsule.
When she was a little girl that got bussed and used that little phrase to kick Joe Biden's ass in a debate.
And we're going to reveal the truth about that because it is as inauthentic as that phony friggin accent.
Her mother would have slapped her around if she came home from school and talked like that.
And she's talking to us as voters and wants us to believe.
Per.
Comma flip-flop.
Comma-flop.
You know what a comma-flop is?
Okay?
A flip-flop is when you flip-flop on one issue.
Like, oh, I'm again fracking.
Oh, I'm for fracking.
A comma-flop is a whole suite of issues.
Oh yeah, I no longer want to defund the police.
I want a bunch of police.
I don't want a defrack.
I want a frack.
Kamala Harris, you are a disgrace.
I'm telling you, America, if you want to beat Kamala Harris, stop using her first name only, okay?
Kamala, or Kama-Kamelia, or Kamala Harris, or Harris.
That's it.
I'll be right back with Kerry Lake from Arizona, from the border, where bad things are going
unidentified
on and you need to know about it.
dave brat
There is nearly $1 trillion of infrastructure and pandemic funds yet to be spent.
That's right, there's a massive amount of money that the lame duck administration is pushing hard to spend in their last few months.
If Biden can push out these funds, we could see another prolonged inflation surge, just like during COVID.
And I'm sure you remember the terrible effects that high prices had on Americans and still do.
But there's hope.
A surge in prices can be beaten.

let's uh...
We're waiting to bring in Kerry Lake.
A couple things I want to put on your radar screen while we're waiting.
First of all, the podcast.
I really need you folks to go out and sign up.
On Apple Podcasts, for the podcast, you can go to the graphic that's on this thing and scan it, the QR code.
And here's the thing.
If you go to Chartable.com and look at the top political podcasts, before Steve Bannon was falsely imprisoned as a political prisoner, War Room was always in the top three or four, often number one.
What's happening now is we're getting battered by these liberal podcasts who are trying to push us out, push us down, and we need to fight back.
You do this the best, Posse.
Posse, you are amazing when it comes to fighting back and taking action, action, action.
So the action item is Download the podcast, get episodes downloaded free, and then your favorite episodes, share them with a friend and try to get them to do the same.
And if you do that, we'll spread the word.
We've got to get the war room messages out to reach independent voters and hopefully win this election November 5th.
All right.
So, Carrie Lake is up.
All right, let's bring in the next senator from the state of Arizona, we hope, Carrie Lake.
Carrie, how are you?
kari lake
Hey, I'm doing great.
Good to see you, Peter.
Good to see you, Patriot.
peter navarro
Well, I am out and about from prison, but I want to have a frank talk about the state of play in Arizona.
It's worrisome to the war room that when we look at the polling, that the race with Trump is back and forth and tied.
You can never believe the polls.
But it's equally concerning that you're running a little bit behind Trump, and I want to figure out Whether it's a messaging problem, a money problem, a problem with Republicans not getting behind you, because it seems to me that of all states where the message of inflation and the border should resonate the best, it should be right with you, ma'am.
So tell me what's going on and what you need from the war room.
kari lake
Well, I agree that President Trump is doing well.
He's loved here because we remember the good times where we had a safe, secure border, an economy that was working for all of us.
And I believe the polls that I'm getting that are internal polls from some of the biggest pollsters and some of the biggest groups.
And that shows that we are in a tied race between me and my opponent.
Now you might be thinking, wow, Ruben Gallego, what a dud, what, you know, open borders,
terrible guy, hates the police, has voted for sanctuary cities, has voted.
You think of all the things he's done wrong, but you have to remember, Peter,
he's poured $43 million in ads into this race already, and I haven't had the money to do that.
He's had to do that because nobody knows who he is.
He is an unknown quantity.
peter navarro
Yeah.
kari lake
He's just another Democrat, so he's trying to reinvent himself.
He doesn't want people to know.
He's more radical than the squad.
He's voted with Biden and Harris 100% of the time.
This is a guy who thinks all of the nonsense, crazy stuff has been a good idea.
So I think it's actually pretty remarkable that we're tied up.
peter navarro
Carrie, is he a congressman now?
Is that what he is?
kari lake
He's a congressman in downtown Phoenix, and it's the area with the fastest growing homeless population in the country.
peter navarro
So he's got a straight liberal voting record, all Biden-Harris.
I mean, he can be tagged very easily with that brush if it's possible to do the messaging.
So tell me this.
kari lake
Not only that.
peter navarro
He's not raising that kind of money.
kari lake
He's voted with them even more often than the Squad has.
This is a guy who's got Marxist ideology.
peter navarro
Yeah, yeah.
So clearly the Democrats are doing a lot better at funding Democrats in these battleground races.
Yours is clearly one of them.
We got Tester as a Democrat in Montana.
We've got a close race in Pennsylvania.
What's going on with the Republican side?
Why aren't they raising the kind of money they should and why aren't they giving you Well, I think it's a couple things.
kari lake
One, they're raising exorbitant amounts of money.
It doesn't make sense.
And then when you look at some of James O'Keefe's reporting, you realize that a lot of this money pouring in through ActBlue is questionable.
We don't know where it's coming from.
You find a little old lady who's, you know, 85 years old.
She made a couple of donations to ActBlue in her lifetime.
And all of a sudden, she's one of the biggest donors out there, donating $250,000.
We know there's a lot of money laundering going on.
And it's being investigated right now.
So that's, I think, where a lot of the Democrat money is coming from.
We're doing pretty well when it comes to looking at the other Republicans running.
I am outracing them when it comes to donors.
Now, I want to say some of these guys that are also running in the Republican for Senate on the Republican side have a lot of money of their own, and many of them are loaning millions of dollars.
So their numbers are actually higher.
But mine is actually coming from real people.
And I'm proud of our fundraising numbers, but it's hard to keep up with somebody who has been able to spend $42 million on ads.
The good news is the Cavalry is coming this week, and I'm hearing there's a ton of ads coming in that are going to start telling the truth about who Ruben Gallego is.
And I think what we're going to see there is his poll numbers are going to come down.
peter navarro
Yeah.
How much have you spent relative to that $43 million?
kari lake
Well, I think there's a spend coming in from Club for Growth around $10 million, and also NRSC is coming in with another big spend.
But let me tell something to the posse out there right now.
Just a little bit of kind of educating as they're looking at so much just lies coming out from the media where they'll say, oh, MAGA movement's over, people are done with all of that.
It's so dishonest.
They have to push that garbage like they did in 2016 against Trump.
Then they back it up with these ridiculous polls.
Let me tell you, if this was not a close race in Arizona This is how you decide if the polls are real or not.
Ruben Gallego is not pulling back any of his ads.
He's got, I think, another $30 million ready to go for the rest of this race.
If he were up by double digits, as these absolutely asinine BS polls are saying, let me tell you, they would be pulling that money out and putting it in another state, but they're not doing that.
But Karen, hang on.
peter navarro
Hang on.
What I'm worried about is the Republican side, okay?
It shouldn't fall on your shoulders to raise that kind of money.
You can't.
It should fall on the shoulders of the Republican Senate committee that's supposed to be in charge of winning the Senate.
It seems to me that they are failing not just you, but just about every senator that's trying to get them to 50 plus 1.
And I'm trying to figure out What's going on there?
I mean, when you interface with the Senate committee that's supposed to be raising money, who are these people and what are they telling you?
kari lake
Well, I want to put out... Who's in charge of that?
I can say nothing but good things for the NRSC.
They've been incredibly helpful all along.
Again, putting out another big ad buy-for in favor of us and to help us.
So I'm really happy with Chairman Deese.
peter navarro
Another one?
What was the... Hang on, I need some numbers.
I need some receipts.
I think you're looking at... Hang on, Carrie.
No, no, hang on.
We're going to flip to, if you can hold on, we'll go to the next segment.
But please, when we come back, I want to look at the numbers they're spending versus what you've been able to spend and figure out what the disparity is.
Because you're not the only one who's way underwater.
It's a pattern across six different battleground states where our Senate candidate is running Significant appears to be running behind Donald Trump.
I want to get to the bottom of that if we can.
Carrie, stay right here with us if you can.
You are in the war room.
unidentified
We'll be right back.
dave brat

peter navarro
Hey, Peter K. Navarro in for Stephen K. Bannon.
We're talking with the next senator from the state of Arizona, Kerry Lake.
Kerry, let me just say that I hope that the Republican side of the fence starts getting a lot more money to those Senate candidates in battleground states like Arizona, because for whatever reason, You're getting outspent, and every other one of our Republican hopefuls is getting outspent.
I'm sitting here in the swamp.
Republican Senate, get your friggin' act together and help these people.
Tell me about your latest poll.
And what we've got is what they call suppression polls, right?
There's been an attack.
By pollsters using suppression polls, which is the idea here of their skewing samples and creating this false momentum with this know-nothing Ruben Gallego, who nobody knows about other than he's to the left of Kamala Harris.
No, that's not possible.
Carrie, go over your latest numbers for us, if you would.
kari lake
Well, you know, I have four different polls that are really, really highly respected polls, internal polling, showing it's either tied up or right in there in the margin of error.
And as I said, I think that's quite remarkable, considering that Ruben Gallego, who is an absolute leftist radical, has spent $43 million.
He's got $35 million more on tap to spend.
You know, if those polls, the suppression polls you just spoke of, were true, they'd pull that money out.
They wouldn't need to spend it.
And so we are—I feel comfortable with where we are.
I actually feel pretty proud of a campaign that we're running based on the issues.
We win on the issues, and we also win when you look at what Donald Trump, President Trump, did in his last term.
We want to get back to that, and we know that we can get back and solve these problems.
There's money coming in starting today.
Tens of millions in ads are going to be dropped against Ruben Gallego by Club for Growth and the NRSC in our campaign as well.
I'd love to have Senate Leadership Fund come in and help, but I can't control what everybody does.
That would be very helpful to have them come in.
I want to see us get not just 51 seats in the Senate.
I want to see 54 or 55.
And then we can really make sure we're getting things done when President Trump wins.
So I feel good with the campaign we're running.
We have a debate coming up.
peter navarro
Kerry, who's the Senate leadership that you're talking about that you'd like to step up to the plate a little bit more?
Who's in charge now?
Is Mitch, he's kind of on the back nine to say the least.
I mean, who stepped into his shoes right now?
kari lake
Well, that's Stephen Law, Senate Leadership Fund, and I have a good relationship with him.
They are not spending in Arizona, and I hope that they will look at where we all are in the polling, which is tight.
This is a very winnable race.
As a matter of fact, I believe we will win this race, and I think that they should come in and start spending here.
peter navarro
See, I'll tell you what I worry about, okay?
The Senate.
It's got a lot of folks Dare I say, do not care for what Donald Trump loves as policy, starting with fair trade and going right to border security, okay?
They are clever.
You know, it's the Karl Rove crowd where they might want to just, they want to control the Senate, but only by a seat.
They don't want a bunch of Trumpers in there.
That really, that really concerns me, Kerry.
And I don't know if you've picked up on any of that, but I want, I want folks on this hill, which I'm about a hundred yards from, to know that that folks are watching you.
You screwed up.
The Senate race is in Georgia and it led to catastrophic tie-breaking votes by Kamala Harris that created inflation.
Don't screw this one up, please.
We need the Senate just as much as we need the House.
Now, one thing I want to talk a little bit about is issues.
It seems to me that The two most important issues in this race are the border and inflation.
It seems like we need to do something about election integrity to make sure they don't steal anything, but I'm not sure that we need to talk about that anymore in a general election.
That's not really on the radar in the general polls.
Am I wrong there in Arizona, or am I right that all you should be talking about is border and the economy until the end?
kari lake
Well, we talk about a lot of issues that are affecting the people of Arizona.
Obviously, the border is a huge issue, and it plays into the economy when you have 16 million additional people who've poured in.
You know, they've got to live somewhere.
When they're living in housing, that means that American citizens don't have access to that housing.
It also drives up the housing costs.
New data here, which is just shocking that the price of home has gone up 35%.
The average monthly mortgage payment is up over 105%.
And the payment of a lifetime of a home mortgage has gone up a half a million in Arizona.
This is pricing people out of being in a home in the American dream.
So the economy is a big deal.
The border is a big deal.
Everywhere I go when I open it up to Q&A and ask the people of Arizona if you have any questions for me, People are concerned about the integrity of our elections.
We've got 16 million people who've poured in, and we know that many of them are registering to vote.
This is why I support the SAVE Act, and I think it's a good idea to attach that to the spending bill, and let the Democrats explain to the American people why they would rather let people here illegally vote than keep the government up and running.
peter navarro
How's the abortion issue playing?
I mean, it boggles my mind in a state like Arizona that half, roughly half, we're in a 50-50 country, could support open borders and the radical policies What is it that those people who are voting for Ruben Gallego are being pushed by?
What's going on?
is on fire and half the world is on fire, including Gaza and Ukraine.
What is it that those people who are voting for Ruben Gallego are being pushed by?
What's going on?
I don't get it.
Arizona of all places.
kari lake
You know what, Peter, I don't get it either because I'm all over.
I'm blessed to have a 100% name ID in this state.
I was a broadcaster for a long time, and obviously when I run for office, my name ID went up.
President Trump and I have the same name ID here in Arizona, so I go everywhere.
Whether I'm in an airport, whether I'm in a more liberal part of town, whether I'm in a conservative, rural city.
Everywhere I go, people come up and they say, we're voting for you.
We can't bear one more day of this insanity.
We can't handle the economy.
We can't handle how expensive things are.
I have Democrats come up to me every day, Independents.
So I don't know where these people are that are voting for Ruben Gallego.
And the people are struggling.
I don't care if you're a Democrat, if you're an Independent or Republican, we're called America first.
That's what our policies are because we're putting Americans first.
So I don't understand why they're voting for him.
The abortion issue will be on the ballot.
I will have one vote in that.
We have a 15-week law right now where we have abortions up until 15 weeks in Arizona, and voters will decide if that's what they want or if they want right up until nine months or beyond after birth.
The voters are going to have to decide that, and here's the deal.
When I'm in the U.S.
Senate, I will not vote What do the polls say on that?
I'm assuming that's going to be in the lead and going to pass.
And I trust the voters of Arizona and the women of Arizona to look at that proposition
and decide what they want.
peter navarro
What did the polls say on that?
How I'm assuming that's going to be in the lead and going to pass.
What are the what are the percentages there?
kari lake
I don't have the polling on that proposition, but I will say that when you look at the top
five issues facing Republicans, abortion is not in the top five, nor is it for independence.
When you look at Democrats, it's either issue number three or four behind the economy, behind border.
And oftentimes behind the increasing levels of crime.
I mean, listen, when you don't feel safe in your own community, when you can barely afford to feed yourself and your family, if you have a family, and when you're watching as millions of people pour over.
Children are lost into the sex trade here in Arizona.
Fentanyl is killing people left and right.
You know, the priorities are shifting very, very rapidly here in Arizona.
And if you look at all these issues that we just named, all of them can be blamed on the policies of Kamala Harris, Joe Biden and Ruben Gallego.
They've caused these big, major problems that are affecting all of us.
peter navarro
And that's why I get back to the idea that there should be a landslide based on this.
Let me give you, let's say, an unsolicited suggestion.
You were beloved in Arizona because people saw you every day of their lives.
They trusted you as a newscaster.
I think it'd be really cool if every day you took 10 minutes, 15 minutes at a regular time when the news is on something and live streamed Carrie's News of the Day and just laid it out there and just deliver it I'm deadly serious about this.
It would be amazing.
You could deliver the news about the economy, the border.
I think it'd be really an interesting way to campaign.
Last question is, are you able...
To get out and do grassroots.
I mean, the presidential race is a TV national kind of thing.
In a state like California, it's all about TV ads and this.
But Arizona seems to me would be manageable over the next 60 days or so to get out and just do Just small gathering after small gathering.
Are you able to get out there and do the Carry Lady bus tour and stuff like that?
kari lake
Absolutely.
As a matter of fact, in just a couple of hours, I'm leaving on our bus tour.
We've been doing a bus tour now for months, and we are heading up to Black Canyon City, to Chileans, which is a great, legendary place there, and we're going to have a huge crowd out there.
It's going to be a really good time.
And then tomorrow, I will be with J.D.
Vance, Senator J.D.
Vance, who's coming to town, doing some campaigning with him.

It's never going to be investigated in our state because we have a bunch of Okay.

♪ Wants to rule the world. ♪ All right, so I go into this movie,
my fiance on Labor Day, thinking that it's gonna be kind of your standard biopic
and the reviews is like the buzz.
There was no buzz on it.
It's this, that, and the other thing.
And I was blown away by how this movie is made.
It's basically not a story about Ronald Reagan.
It's not about his life and times.
It's a story about how Ronald Reagan understood, long before he was president and even governor, That the key to defeating the Soviet Union was to bankrupt them by forcing them to spend an overspend on defense.
Reagan understood that the economic engine of the Soviet Union was a Volkswagen compared to our Formula One or Ferrari, okay?
Here's the thing, the assignment here, and if you get a chance, go see this thing before tomorrow's show.
If you substitute the word Reagan for Trump, and if you substitute the word Russia, and you make it Communist China, there's no way that you won't Vote for Donald Trump, because Donald Trump, just like Ronald Reagan, understood the evil empire of his time.
For Reagan, it was the Soviet Union.
And Reagan's insight was that the way to beat the Soviet Union wasn't to build as many or more missiles as they did and climb your way up the escalatory ladder, as they say in the Situation Room.
It was a flank attack by forcing them to use their economy to match the so-called Star Wars initiative.
And I just, I mean, I have so much more respect now For Ronald Reagan's intellect, I always admired his courage and the simplicity with which he understood things like economics and military affairs, but I never understood how sophisticated his understanding of strategy was.
