Applying to come work for us and devote their lives working for us is up over 100%.
We're deeply proud of them, and they deserve better than you.
jim jordan
Time of the gentleman has expired.
The gentleman from Tennessee is recognized for five minutes.
unidentified
Thank you, Mr. Chair and Director Ray.
I thank you for continuing to serve with all of these attempts to sully your name, suggest you've committed crimes, when you've done an excellent job as FBI Director.
I don't agree with everything you've done, but mostly I do, and I think the FBI is our premier law enforcement agency, and I support law enforcement.
To attack the FBI is to attack law enforcement in general.
A few days after Mar-a-Lago, there was some individual who went after the Cincinnati headquarters of the FBI. Can you tell us a little bit about that and how you think that came about?
So the incident that you're asking about was obviously deeply disturbing.
We had an individual wearing a tactical vest armed with an AR-style rifle and a nail gun who attempted to forcibly enter and attack our Cincinnati field office.
A subsequent review of the subject's devices and online postings identified a pretty striking anti- FBI anti-federal law enforcement hostility.
He was calling on others to kill federal law enforcement, claiming that he felt he was fighting a, in his words, civil war.
And it's unfortunately part of a broader phenomenon that we have seen, not just against the FBI, and this is important to add, but against law enforcement all across the country.
Not just against law enforcement professionals themselves, which is appalling enough, but calling for attacks against their families, which is truly despicable.
And that man eventually was captured and eliminated, was he not?
Yes. A few days later, was the Arizona FBI Department the subject of armed violence, or not violence, but armed protesters?
Well, I know that our Phoenix field office has had a number of very concerning security incidents where people attempted to attack or breach the facility.
I can't remember the dates of when that happened.
All of this has happened kind of in the same sphere.
Information has been put out on social media and in general and by members of Congress.
Okay, let's get Mike Davis in.
steve bannon
Mike, you've heard it.
I want people to get a full appetite of how the Democrats are doing this.
We're going to get clips of Matt.
Matt Gaetz really lit him up.
Hang on. Let's get Matt Gaetz.
I want the staff to pull Matt Gaetz, and I want to hear that in its entirety.
Mike Davis, you see that the Republicans are lighting up Chris Wray like I've never seen before.
Today's whole show is about the people in the United States, citizens, voters, lack of confidence in our institutions.
The polling's overwhelming. Mike Johnson started with just eviscerating Wray about the polling, how the American people have lost faith in it.
And Mark Mitchell was on here from Rasmus and said, hey, As jiggy as the FBI had been the last couple of years, that really started with the Mar-a-Lago raid.
And I wanted people to see how the congressman from Memphis sits there and tees up Ray about everything they're going to do today, the Democrats.
It's all about the Mar-a-Lago raid.
It's all about the classified information, etc.
Give us your assessment of how Ray and the Democrats that run the FBI have comported themselves.
mike davis
My second day on the job as Chairman Chuck Grassley's Chief Counsel for Nominations was the Chris Wray hearing.
It was after I had finished clerking for Justice Gorsuch on the Supreme Court.
I started on the job, so this was already in the works when I got there.
I'm trying to run this hearing, and I remember the Democrats and even these, even Republicans, talking, clutching their pearls about the Russian collusion, Russian collusion, Russian collusion.
And that was the context how Chris Wray got shoved down our throats as the FBI director Back in 2017, it was we had to have an independent FBI director from Trump because he was so tied to the Russians that we needed some independence to protect America from Trump, was essentially what the argument was.
It was just complete nonsense.
And Chris Wray We're good to go.
What I need to understand with Chris Wray is, does he know that this is happening?
Is he leading this?
Is he part of this deep state cabal?
Or is he just such a weak and an incompetent FBI director that he lets the FBI run?
steve bannon
Mike, I don't know if you might not have been watching the show.
I know you're doing other things, but we cut in live with the very first question from Mike Johnson of Louisiana.
And Mike Johnson held up the opinion of the federal judge the other day from Louisiana in this situation about the disinformation, misinformation, the working of the FBI and DHS, but principally the FBI and DOJ with the big tech oligarchs and the suppression And as you know, because you've read that, you and I have talked about it, it is one of the most brutal rulings from the bench I've ever read.
And they go into very specific detail.
Mike Johnson holds it up, and the first thing he asks him, he says, you've, of course, read this, so I'm going to go into detail by the FBI. And he says, no, I haven't actually read it.
I've been briefed on it. The arrogance, I mean, I don't get, tell me, look, this is your line of work, not mine.
If you're hitting up the institution and have seen what was said about that institution taken from their own testimony and a federal judge literally crushing you is It conceivable that you could prep and come to Congress to a hearing of which everybody in town is talking about the FBI's coming before the Judiciary Committee and not have read what the judge said about your institution and what you had to do immediately to comport to this and also after the fact that
Biden's regime went to court to say to get a thing the guy said no way they said no not gonna happen Could is it conceivable that the director the FBI?
mike davis
Would not even deem to read it sir Well, if he didn't read it, then it shows that he's incompetent to do this job.
He's too arrogant and incompetent to do this job.
And that's the problem with Chris Wray, is he has let his FBI become politicized and weaponized against conservatives, against Trump, Trump's top aides, Trump supporters, Christians praying outside of abortion clinics, parents at school board meetings.
This FBI is out of control, and there needs to be serious, serious reforms to the FBI, including dismantling the top leadership of the FBI in D.C., along with the key field offices like New York and Washington,
steve bannon
D.C. As Mark Mitchell said, the FBI, the American people, were very concerned about this and their poll numbers were dropping, but the bottom fell out starting on the afternoon of August 8th of, what, 2022. With the raid of Mar-a-Lago.
And that's what the Democrats, every time they come up today on national television, they're going to be defending the Mar-a-Lago raid.
The president, his team came forward the other night and has put forward the fact that this election interference, and it's got to be put past the 2024 election.
Can you just give us your thoughts on President Trump's defense here and the logic of it?
mike davis
There's no question that the justice system at every level, whether it's Alvin Bragg in New York, the Soros-funded Manhattan DA, this Garland Democrat special counsel, Jack Smith, who likes getting overturned unanimously by the Supreme Court like he did in the Virginia Governor Bob McDonald case.
We have Fannie Willis, another Democrat rabid prosecutor.
Down in Fulton County, Georgia.
This is obvious lawfare to go after Trump to try to eliminate him as a presidential candidate because they fear that Trump will beat Biden or Newsom in the 2024 presidential election.
So they just want to eliminate him as a presidential contender.
And that's very obvious by this lawfare, by these Democrat prosecutors bringing these bogus Lawless charges against Trump and what Trump's attorneys have said that, look, this is a complicated case.
This is not an open and shut.
President Trump had documents marked classified, therefore it's espionage, therefore he goes to prison for the rest of his life.
That's not how it works.
The Presidential Records Act controls the former president's having his presidential records.
It's not espionage for a former president to have his presidential records.
It's allowed under the Presidential Records Act.
But if the Biden Justice Department, if Garland is going to go down this path of prosecuting a former president and leading presidential candidate for the first time in American history under this bogus theory that Jack Smith and Merrick Garland are pursuing, there is a complicated process.
It's the Classified Information Procedures Act.
The lawyers get security clearance.
They have to go through over a million pages of discovery.
The Biden Justice Department still hasn't turned over the discovery.
There is no chance that they can get this trial done in six months or even before the presidential election.
What's the rush?
They waited 18 months.
Biden and Garland waited 18 months after Trump left office to go raid him to get back his presidential records he's allowed to have under the Presidential Records Act.
They waited another 10 months.
After that, so 28 months total to bring these bogus charges by Jack Smith.
So they wait 28 months.
They have all the documents back from this raid.
What's the urgency of doing this trial before the presidential election?
Why do they not want President Trump to get a fair trial?
Why do they want to have a secret trial with secret evidence and the most high-profile trial in American history?
steve bannon
And this is not me saying it.
This is reports about Jack Smith.
Reports said they're looking at another 65 indictments in different areas, like in New Jersey and other places.
Are they jury shopping?
Are they judge shopping? I mean, Jack Smith's going to come out with another potential, I'm not saying he is, but potentially looking at 65 more indictments of President Trump, sir?
mike davis
This is insane.
And it just shows you that they're doing whatever it takes to make Trump die in prison rather than beat Biden or Newsom in 2024.
They may look at other charges that Fannie Willis and Jack Smith may be looking at other charges related to January 6th, like it's some sort of insurrection.
Let's just step back.
The Trump supporters had a permit on January 6th from the National Park Service to protest the election.
It's not a permit to protest in America.
Objecting to the election is allowed under the Electoral Count Act of 1887.
It's also allowed by the First Amendment.
It's only illegal to object to presidential elections in third world Marxist hellholes or under the Biden administration.
That seems to be the only two places where it's illegal to object.
Remember what happened on January 6th.
It was a protest. That got out of control and turned into a riot.
We're not going after every BLM supporter for the $2 billion in damage that certain BLM terrorists cause across America.
Why are we trying to go after every Trump supporter and say it's some seditious conspiracy because they exercised their statutory and constitutional rights to protest and object?
Again, there's a difference between the protesters and the rioters, and they should all be treated differently.
steve bannon
We're going to have Rasmussen back on tomorrow.
He's saying they're in the field for three days.
They've finished the second night.
Trump's approval, as of the second night, is 55%.
It'll maybe even higher by tomorrow, which is, I think, Biden's high 30s or low 40s.
McConnell and these guys are in the teens.
He says he gets...
Rasmussen's theory right now is the more...
The more indictments come, the more popular he's becoming.
The American people have thought this through.
The American people have thought this through, haven't they?
mike davis
Steve, you and I have been talking about this since August.
We have said that if they indict Trump, they're gonna guarantee that he's back in the White House.
In January 2025 and it started with Bozo Manhattan DA Soros funded Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg inditing Trump for the non-crime of a businessman settling a nuisance claim and somehow Alvin Bragg turned that into a Campaign finance felony that was previously passed over by the prior Manhattan DA, the Manhattan U.S. Attorney's Office, Alvin Bragg himself, the Federal Election Commission.
It wasn't until Matthew Colangelo, the acting number three in the number three's office, political appointee, political hitman from the Biden Justice Department, got sent to Manhattan.
Did they resurrect this zombie case and go after Trump?
So we have the zombie...
unidentified
Mike. Sorry.
steve bannon
I tell you, just hang on for one second.
I'm going to bring you back right after the break.
We've got Dave Bratt. We've got the hearing of Ray.
We've got Mother Mabel Carter to take us out.
Will the circle be unbroken?
unidentified
Be back in a moment. Florida is recognized.
American people need to understand what just happened.
My Democrat colleague just asked the director of the FBI whether or not they are buying information about our fellow Americans.
And the answer is, well, we'll just have to get back to you on that.
It sounds really complicated. But I have other questions.
I'm sitting here with my father.
I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge, that you will regret not following my direction.
I am sitting here, waiting for the call with my father.
Sounds like a shakedown, doesn't it, Director?
I'm not going to get into commenting on that.
You seem deeply uncurious about it, don't you?
Almost suspiciously uncurious.
Are you protecting the Bidens?
Absolutely not.
The FBI does not and has no interest in protecting anyone politically.
That's a shakedown and everybody knows why you won't answer it.
Because to the millions of people who will see this, they know it is.
And your inability to acknowledge that is deeply revealing about you.
But let's go from the uncurious to the downright nosy.
How many illegal FISA queries have occurred under your leadership of the FBI? Well, there are reports that have come out with different numbers about compliance incidents.
More than a million illegal ones?
Because that's what the Inspector General said.
The Inspector General said that in the 3.4 million of these queries, more than a million were in error.
Do you have any basis to disagree with that assessment by the Inspector General?
I'm not sure.
Actually, that's a... Oh, well, the internet will remind you of that in moments.
But let's now go to what the court said.
The court said it was over 200,000 that have occurred on your watch.
Do you have any basis to disagree with that assessment?
Again, I don't have the numbers I sit here right now.
Seems like a number you should know.
How many times the FBI is breaking the law under your watch?
Especially if it's like over a million to not know that number.
And I'm worried about your veracity on the subject as well.
Play the video. Letters for investigation of the Capitol.
I don't believe FISA is remotely implicated in our investigation.
So there, Senator Lee's asking you whether or not FISA was in any way involved in your January 6th investigation, and you say no.
Was that truthful? I said that I did not believe it was.
Okay, so now let's pull up what the court said, which was something a little different than what you said.
So, so here...
Nope, that's not the right one.
Yeah, here we go. Right there, it says, the government has reported additional significant violations of the querying standard, including several relating to the January 6, 2021 breach at the Capitol.
So I guess the question, Director A, is did you not know when you were answering these questions that the FBI was engaging in these illegal searches, or did you perjure yourself to Senator Lee?
I certainly didn't perjure myself.
At the time that I testified in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee, I didn't have that piece of information.
I will add... Well, that was a court order.
You didn't have that piece of information because the court hadn't yet rendered a judgment.
Did you not know when you gave the untruthful answer before Senator Lee that this was going on?
It was a truthful answer.
I did not believe FISA had been involved in the January 6th investigation.
But it was! So you didn't...
The answer is... The FBI has broken so bad that people can go and engage in queries that when you come before the Congress to answer questions, you're like blissfully ignorant.
You're blissfully ignorant as to the unlawful queries.
You're blissfully ignorant as to the Biden shakedown regime.
And it just seems like it gets into a kind of a creepy place as well.
Go to our next image on what the court said.
Like, just so the American people realize...
The court has smacked you down, ruling FBI personnel apparently conducted queries for improper personal reasons.
People were looking themselves up.
They were looking their ex-lovers up.
Who has been held accountable or fired as a consequence of the FBI using the FISA process as their, like, creepy personal snoop machine?
There have been instances in which individuals have had disciplinary action and who are no longer with...
I can't get into it here, but we can follow back up with you.
matt gaetz
But don't you see that that's kind of the thing, Director Ray, that you preside over the FBI that has the lowest level of trust in the FBI's history?
unidentified
People trusted the FBI more when J. Edgar Hoover was running the place than when you are.
And the reason is because you don't give straight answers.
You give answers that later a court deems aren't true.
And then at the end of the day, you won't criticize an obvious shakedown when it's directly in front of us, and it appears as though you're whitewashing the conduct of corrupt people.
Respectfully, Congressman, in your home state of Florida, the number of people applying to come work for us and devote their lives working for us is up over 100%.
We're deeply proud of them, and they deserve better than you.
jim jordan
Time of the Gentleman has expired.
steve bannon
Do we need about 150 to 200 more Matt Gaetzes in Congress?
Mike Davis, is that the way to question Ray, who clearly perjures himself every time he's in front of these committees, sir?
mike davis
I think Matt Gates is great.
He is a star in Congress.
People need to remember about Chris Wray.
He was the protege for James Comey for five years.
This guy, he grew up in New York City, grew up in extreme wealth in New York City, went to Yale, went to Yale Law School, was a federal prosecutor for many years down in Atlanta.
He was the head of the criminal division In the George W. Bush administration as part of the Comey regime and when Comey got chased out of town because they realized that he was a snake.
I was there when that happened at the Bush 43 White House.
Chris Wray went to be a litigation partner at a big law firm.
So this guy is no dummy.
He's not Mr. Magoo.
He knows what he's doing and he's willfully playing dumb here at the most charitably That's the most charitable explanation for it, that he's willfully playing dumb here.
It is his FBI, he's been the director for almost six years now, and he has what appears to be zero control over the FBI, and I just don't know if that's believable.
steve bannon
The opening salvo from Gates was about the text messages of Hunter Biden back to the Chinese Communist Party and his father sitting there and demanding they get paid on the shakedown they were doing to the CCP. The capital markets provider, CEFC, right there.
And his question was brutal.
Are you running a protection racket for Joe Biden?
mike davis
Your thoughts, sir? The FBI is absolutely running a protection racket for Joe Biden.
We have clear evidence going back before the 2020 presidential election that then-Vice President Joe Biden took a $10 million foreign bribe as the Vice President.
From Burisma, he changed American policy.
He threatened, Biden threatened to cut off a billion dollars in U.S. aid to Ukraine if the Ukraine president didn't fire the Ukraine prosecutor investigating Burisma and the Bites.
The FBI has known about this.
This president of the United States is compromised.
He is compromised by maybe $30 million in corrupt The FBI has known about this.
If Chris Ray did not know about this, either Chris Ray knew about this and he's running a cover-up racket for Biden, or he did not know about this and he's the most incompetent FBI Director in our history because now we have a clearly compromised President of the United States.
You can't get worse than what's going on right now with Joe Biden.
Look where he's compromised.
He's compromised in Ukraine.
He's compromised with China.
Where are the two biggest trouble spots in the world right now?
We have Russia attacking Ukraine and we have China that could attack Taiwan.
That is what happens when you have our adversaries, our enemies, Understanding that we have a weak, incompetent, compromised president of the United States.
And thank you to Chris Wray for making sure that that happens.
steve bannon
Mike Davis, how do people get to you?
mike davis
How do they follow you? Article3project.org, article3project.org, at article3project, at article3project.getter, Twitter, Truth.
My personal is at MRDPR. D-M-I-A. M-R-D-D-M-I-A. Last thing, Steve, House Republicans need to get moving with the impeachment proceedings against Chris Wray.
steve bannon
You think it ought to be impeachment proceedings?
You think this raises to the level of impeachment proceedings?
An impeachment inquiry should start immediately on Chris Wray?
mike davis
Steve, we've been calling for the impeachment of Chris Wray and Merrick Garland since the Mar-a-Lago raid in August.
It's only getting worse.
This guy is a bad actor.
They need to impeach him.
steve bannon
And you believe America Garland, the impeachment inquiry, there's enough there right now to start an impeachment inquiry on America Garland also?
mike davis
There is no question that they have violated their oaths of office by politicizing and weaponizing the Justice Department, including the FBI, to go after their political enemies and protect their political boss.
steve bannon
Thank you, brother. By the way, just on your social media, when people want to follow Mike Davis in Shade Wars, that's your personal Twitter account?
unidentified
Is that where you do your Shade War activities, your personal Twitter account?
mike davis
Well, I mean, when I'm not kicked off, Steve.
unidentified
So, I mean, yes. Mike Davis, thank you, brother.
steve bannon
Appreciate you coming on. Dave Bratt, you've been in that seat before.
Tell me, Gates Judiciary Act, They need to ramp this up.
What's your opinion where the state?
Give me a minute on this. We'll go to break and we'll bring you back.
I got economics to talk about.
Also, Christian nationalism.
Talk to me about these committees.
dave brat
Yeah, the committees are out of hand.
And I agree with Mike.
We gave away all of our leverage with a debt ceiling increase, right?
There was your chance for political leverage.
We lost it. Now we're going to go do more bipartisan stuff.
Where the left gets everything they want.
And so it's not very bipartisan.
And Mike just ended up on the arrogance related to wars in Russia and Taiwan, China potentially coming up.
I was going to talk about the reserve currency today, loss of that.
I'm going to skip it because of today's news.
But I'll just tell you, the answer is war, right?
The Netherlands lost their reserve currency status, the global leader, due to war, then the French, due to the French Revolution, then the UK, due to World War I and World War II, and now the USA is getting arrogant, losing its physical credibility, losing faith in the dollar, and we're at multiple wars across the world.
steve bannon
We're going to tie all this together.
We will get into some of this. We're going to tie it all together.
Dave Bratz is going to join me on the other side.
unidentified
By and by, there's a better, more lady, in the sky, Lord, in the sky.
jim jordan
The border affirmative action and abortion rights, it's total politics.
I mean, I think it's interesting that affirmative...
We just got a decision from a bunch of Catholics who sit on the United States Supreme Court relative to affirmative action.
Politics was the total motivation here.
And that's what's scary. That's what's, I think, so frightening and why we...
How this happens, I don't know.
And five people signed off on it.
Five people, including the Chief Division Counsel at the Richmond Field Office.
I'd like to talk to this lawyer...
A lot of people in this room went to law school to get a course on the Constitution that talks about the First Amendment.
I find that really scary.
Again, when do you think we're going to have a chance?
How soon are you going to complete this internal investigation so we can talk to these folks who put this together?
unidentified
I expect us to be able to brief the committee on our internal review later this summer.
jim jordan
Will that briefing include the names of the individuals who put this document together attacking Americans' First Amendment liberty?
unidentified
I'm not sure yet what it'll include because it's not done yet, but when it is, we'll provide you with an appropriate briefing.
jim jordan
What are you doing to fix it so this doesn't happen again?
unidentified
Well, we've already started putting in place a number of fixes, and those will be further informed by the results of the review.
jim jordan
What are those fixes? More training, more things, that same thing you told us on FISA. And while you may have some improvement, you still got 204,000 times the database was illegally searched.
So what are the training and procedures you're putting in place?
unidentified
I'll put the FISA stuff to the side a little bit.
jim jordan
I'm just giving that example of where you've told us the same thing and you've fixed something and you haven't.
steve bannon
This is where he's hammering him about the FBI field office that literally came after my parents' traditional Catholic Latin mass church and said, oh, these traditional, they call them radical, these radical traditionalist Catholics that are Tridentine Catholics that have the Latin mass, these parishes that have popped up throughout the country, are breeding grounds for domestic terrorism.
This is from the FBI.
And look how Ray...
Mike Davis is absolutely correct.
We've got to stop...
McCarthy and these guys have got to stop.
The only thing that's really dropped the hammer today is Gates, right?
And Mike Johnson.
But we've got to stop messing around.
We've got to move immediately to an impeachment inquiry on Ray and Merrick Garland.
And I'm telling you, this audience is going to unload on McCarthy and these wimps up there in the controlled opposition Republican Party.
This is how we got here. You think the FBI just got rotten to the core in the last 18 months?
No. The controlled opposition Republicans have allowed this going.
This is why the National Defense Authorization Act is so important.
Because you've had these Republicans, they're all bought and paid for by the defense industry, have signed off on this.
And this thing has got the rot in our society in it, and now it's infected the military.
And they're going to sign off on it unless you have a firefight.
And this is why there are firefights all the time.
Dave Bradd. And you're absolutely correct.
I want everybody to get to Birch Gold.
Go to birchgold.com and get the end of the dollar empire, particularly the road to Durban.
We'll spend more time on that over the next couple of days.
Brat has got a great – Krugman comes out and says, hey, this whole new currency thing, it's not a big deal.
And he goes through – I had Brat go through and deconstruct it, and we're going to get into that hopefully tomorrow or the next day.
about why it's nonsense and why right now this is not going to be converted into gold, but it's going to be somehow gold-backed, the Russians are telling us.
You need to find out more information because this is how nations that were the prime reserve currency all of a sudden you start to collapse.
But Brad, it gets back to what's happening at that committee and it gets back to what's happening today on the National Defense Authorization Act where they're going to set the framework up for another trillion dollar, another trillion dollar defense bill where I put up the chart earlier.
We're spending over 3.5% of our GDP in defense because we have all these protectorates.
We have Germany and France and these deadbeats that won't pay for their own defense.
So we end up doing it, that chart right there.
And the National Defense Authorization, be bad enough alone it was just the finances.
Be bad enough alone it was strung out all over the world.
Be bad enough alone that your sons and daughters are out on every foreign battlefield dying.
On top of that, they're taking the exact opposite of your values and jamming that, ramming that in to the Defense Department as a way to destroy our military and to spread it to American society on your watch and on your nickel.
dave brat
Dave Brett. Yeah, well, the war piece is unauthorized.
That is the job of the Congress.
They've punted Because if they would have voted in favor of the Ukraine war, and now by all wisdom, it looks like that war is going to end in failure for the United States and for the people of Ukraine, by the way, and they would have voted affirmatively for that war.
So instead, they punt it to the executive branch.
But it's just a loss of credibility across the board.
And now the idea that the Republican conference, right, in order to, you know, protect a few moderate seats, manage further decline, you can't manage much further decline, right, than $50 trillion in debt, 1% GDP growth, and upcoming recession.
Inflation is still at, you know, the core is still at, you know, 5% and the prime interest rate is 8.5% to the best creditors for interest rates.
And our K-12 education, the left owns all the big cities.
You can just go down.
We have a border invasion.
This is a loss of faith.
The dollar is rooted in faith.
You just covered the de-dollarization and that.
We'll go into debt on that piece.
But our party needs, somebody needs to grab a microphone, a megaphone, and our leadership, McCarthy, needs to grab the megaphone and explain very clearly what is going on with our FBI. What is going on with our CIA? What is going on with our Justice Department to give faith back to the American people?
And I think you've got a segment coming up on the faith itself.
The American people are losing faith literally, right?
unidentified
The religiosity over the last five years.
steve bannon
I want to hit David French on Morning Joe this morning talking about this and blaming it all on Christian nationalism.
unidentified
Let's go ahead and hear it. Yeah. Last column for the Times, Who Truly Threatens the Church?
I read it with great interest, and my question that I'm about to pose to you has nothing to do with people's faith or their beliefs, the depth of their beliefs, but it is this.
The Christian right, Christian nationalists, a lot of them, they've gotten a lot out of the Trump administration.
They got some Supreme Court justices that gave them a ruling that should please them and satisfy them.
But they seem to want a lot more, increasingly.
And I'm wondering about their eyesight when they look at Trump.
What do they see? Do they see a good man or a bad man?
So my question to you is, what percentage, if any, based upon your knowledge, which is far greater than mine, what percentage of their belief is rooted in gullibility or connivance?
A lot of connivance.
So, especially at the elite levels of evangelical activism, here's the thing that they had with Donald Trump.
They had access and they had power.
And the one thing that Trump was quite shrewd about is that he gave them an enormous amount of access.
You can spend any time around evangelical activists, especially if they have any following at all, and you'll see that they've got that Oval Office picture with Donald Trump with the thumbs up.
He gave them access to that room.
He gave them access to power.
And then the whole Trumpist ethos is about wielding power.
And so here you have an opening for the Christian nationalist, Christian authoritarian type, because they have a kind of mind meld with Trump and their view of power.
So I think if you talk to people who have any real experience with the Trump administration, they know who he is, but they know that they can use him to gain a level of access and authority that many other Republican presidents wouldn't give them specifically.
And many other Republican presidents don't have the same, or Republican candidates don't have the same authoritarian view of the world.
And so they're not going to have that mind meld with these more Christian authoritarian voices.
You know, David, it's interesting.
steve bannon
You and I both grew up.
Hang on one second. We're doing live.
I want to hold that, put a pin in it.
Let's go quickly. Dave, Brad, just hang on for one second.
I want you to respond to this, but I want to go quickly to the Judiciary Committee.
Andy Biggs is up right now.
andy biggs
Let's hear Andy. It's been reported that more than 40 FBI personnel agents or contractors were in the crowd on January 6th.
Is that number accurate?
unidentified
I don't know if that number is accurate.
andy biggs
Former Capitol Police Chief Stevenson reportedly has asserted that the protest crowd was filled with federal agents.
Are you aware of his assertion?
I am not. Would you agree with him that it was filled with federal agents on January 6th?
unidentified
I would really have to see more closely exactly what he said and get the full context to be able to evaluate it.
andy biggs
How many agents were actually agents or agents?
Human Resources were present at the Capitol Complex and Vicinity on January 6th.
unidentified
Well, again, it's going to get confusing because it depends on when we deployed and responded to the breach that occurred.
Obviously, there were federal agents.
andy biggs
Sure. Yeah, you're talking, and you and I both know, we're talking different things here.
And please don't distract here because we're focusing on those who were there in an undercover capacity on January 6th.
unidentified
How many were there? Again, I'm not sure that I can give you that number as I sit here.
I'm not sure there were undercover agents on scene.
andy biggs
I find that kind of a remarkable statement, Director.
At this point, you don't know whether there were undercover federal agents, FBI agents, in the crowd or in the Capitol on January 6th.
unidentified
I say that because I want to be very careful.
There have been a number of court filings related to some of these topics, and I want to make sure that I stick within what's in that.
andy biggs
I understand that.
But I thought I heard you say you didn't know whether there were FBI agents or informants or human sources in the Capitol or in the vicinity on January 6th.
Did I misunderstand you?
unidentified
I thought that's what you said. Well, I referred very specifically to undercover agents.
andy biggs
Yeah. Yeah. And so are you acknowledging, then, there were undercover agents?
unidentified
As I sit here right now, I do not believe there were undercover agents.
andy biggs
Were there any assets? Did you have any assets present that day in the crowd?
unidentified
When it comes to what you're calling assets or what we would call confidential human sources, that's a place where, again, I want to be careful, as much as I said in response to an earlier question, There are court filings that I think speak to this that I'm happy to make sure we get to you, assuming they're not under seal.
And that can better answer the question than I can as I sit here right now.
andy biggs
In the same June 2021 committee hearing, you told us that the FISA court, quote, approved FBI procedures, minimization procedures, collection and procedures, querying procedures, did not find misconduct, close quote.
That's what you said. Specifically, you said the FISC found no misconduct.
Yet three months later, the Inspector General found widespread problems in FBI's FISA applications, raising serious questions about the FBI review process of applications, including hundreds of examples of noncompliance with Woods procedures, for example.
And we know that from December 2020 to November 2021, the FBI conducted 3.4 million warrantless searches of U.S. data under FISA. 3.4 million.
Up nearly triple the amount of the previous year, and it got worse.
As you were telling us, there was nothing to worry about.
But now, your reforms have reduced it down to 119,000, over 200,000 total, but 119,000 discrete Americans.
That just doesn't seem like you've accomplished much there if you have 119,000 illegal searches and queries under FISA. I yield back.
jim jordan
Gentleman yields back. Gentleman from California is recognized.
unidentified
Thank you, Mr. Chairman. The House Judiciary Committee is responsible for helping to ensure the rule of law.
steve bannon
Now you're going to have the Democrats go all over, you know, President Trump in the Martin Lugger situation.
But you see right there with Andy Biggs.
I mean, think about it for a second.
Biggs ask a straightforward question on J6 about undercover FBI agents, assets, confidential assets, all of it, and you can't get a straight answer. Dave Brat, I mean this is the problem.
You can't get it, oh it's a court filing, I can make a thing, it's just obfuscation, spin, deflection. He will not answer a straight question and Biggs is sitting there going, hang on, you're telling me all the times from January 6th and you can't answer that question of how many FBI assets were in the crowd?
After, I think, the testimony of the Capitol Police said it was full of...
And you saw the tricky poll.
Well, you know, of course, when we responded, the big said, no, cut the crap.
We're not talking about that. I'm talking about the beginning of it, which the Capitol Police officer was talking about, too.
And he said, quote, unquote, it was full of federal agents.
That's his quote. Full of federal agents.
I mean, we're after... The January 6th committee already met, had this big brouhaha on national TV. Now you got Jack Smith, you got all these guys all over it.
And the FBI director can't sit there and look the American people in the eye and just answer a basic question.
dave brat
Dave Brett. You know, this is an attack upon the truth across all of our major institutions.
And the segment you had with David French on the faith, the same thing.
They open with who threatens the church, and their implicit answer is the Christians threaten their own church, which is just absurd on its face as well.
And so it's time for the American people to take their government back and to reassert the will of the people, right?
The Judeo-Christian West, the Judeo-Christian combination of denominations, etc., is by far the largest group in the country.
There's no competing moral authority.
And you see the truth just under attack here.
Biggs is one of my heroes up there.
He's just a phenomenal human being.
Ask simple, straightforward questions, and you just saw.
I mean, everyone is way too polite up there.
Big is a gentleman, right?
And we're past that, though.
There are major, major issues.
Our country is at stake.
These truths are related to other truths.
Related to our fiscal status, our geopolitical safety, the border invasion, if you can't get answers from the people who run our intelligence, right?
Just think about that term, our intelligence services.
When 51 of the leaders of our intelligence agencies openly lied by signing their names to the dossier statement, that right there is enough, right?
In the old days, can you imagine if a Republican congressman or woman or senator, etc., I just did one of these things.
You'd be tossed out of office in the next day.
Today, for some reason, the Republicans are putting up with it.
You call it the managed decline.
That's right. But the stakes are getting very, very high right now.
They have to do with the existence of our country and the welfare of our kids.
And so the Congress needs to take action.
And this budget thing, you're going to explain what's coming up and the logic there.
But it's another train wreck led by the Republicans.
steve bannon
We're going to do the Krugman response to the de-dollarization.
We'll do that tomorrow. Brett's done a bunch of work.
work. We also, the inflation number came out today. We will handle that tomorrow.
I need more. We need time to go through that. I don't want to rush it.
And we'll have Navarro and Brett, but I want to go back to the David French.
I could play some more, but we're kind of out of time. And I want, but here's why French has written this piece and we'll make sure everybody gets it to put on your radar. And we've talked about this.
They're coming after the Christians and they're coming after Christians as a political force. The term that you're, they're going to replace domestic terror.
This is why they came after my parents, you know, this humble, uh, deplorables little Catholic church, uh, that did the Latin mass, right.
And they call them radical traditionalists.
Radical traditionalists. For the evangelical, for our evangelical brothers and sisters out there, here's what they're coming at.
Because I see all the books that are coming out.
I see the articles. It's not domestic terrorism anymore.
It's you're a Christian nationalist.
Christian nationalist. They spit the word out right there.
You're a Christian nationalist, right?
You're a Christian nationalist.
And they use that as a pejorative, right?
This is how they're going to try to – what they're going to try to do is to back off the evangelicals from having their full – They're full engagement in the public square.
They want the Christians just to go back and worry about salvation and worry about things, spiritual things, and not have their faith manifest itself in the public square.
They're trying to run the Christians out of the public square.
And here's how they're going to try to do it.
They're going to try to say, they're going to equate Christian nationalism with white supremacy and domestic terrorism.
And they're going to say, oh, these people are Christian nationalism.
dave brat
Dave Bratton. Yeah, well, they're discreet terms, and we shouldn't get into using them.
The Christians, they're really attacking the Christians, right?
The Catholics, the evangelicals, the people who believe in the Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed, right?
Those are your good test cases.
If you don't know what those are out there, go look them up because you need to, right?
So those are just the basic creedal statements of the Christian faith.
Shared by 100 million people.
So if you believe, if you believe in those things and you live your life that way, you're a threat to the Marxists who don't believe in God, right?
They reject God and they believe they've rejected all truth claims, all absolutes.
And you're taking on the globalists who have a totally different agenda.
And you're taking on the Chinese who are Marxist or, you know, running off the Marxist ideology.
And so those are the competitors.
They don't have a moral philosophy, right?
And then the nationalism, you're right, that's just tied to the legal language that they're going to use to come after various groups to persecute citizens of the United States of America.
And that's why this is a critical hour, right?
We are in the last hour watching our civilization fade, and it's time to regroup.
We have plenty of great people in this country who have strong faith We love our country.
And every single founder of this country was willing to give up their lives, their fortunes, their sacred honor.
And they did.
And most of those founders went to seminary.
And James Madison, who wrote our Constitution, was a Christian.
And so were the rest of them.
John Harvard, trained at Oxford, comes over and founds Harvard.
They're all Christian.
The Christians founded all the hospitals, all the universities, all the non-profits, all the good deeds, and now the Christians are under attack?
steve bannon
No, this can't plausibly be the case.
Right. Is that we're, as Rabbi Sperry used to say, it's the American ethos, the American ethos of the Judeo-Christian West.
That is the foundational elements.
And that is, when you look at the managed decline of our country, these neo-Marxists, these secular human rights activists, when you look at the core of it, they're all atheists.
The one thing they hate the most, at the railhead of this is a spiritual war.
They do not believe the basic underlying tenets of the Judeo-Christian West, and that's why it's a full frontal attack on that.
Whether it's rounding people up, say, in the rosary, whether it's now going after evangelical Christians, whether it's people at the abortion centers trying to pray for life, whether it's these little Catholic churches, Tridentine, that are going to say you're a breeding ground for domestic terrorism.
All I remember is a breeding ground of Of people that would go out and serve their nation.
I will match up on a per capita basis the people that came out of these small parishes, the Latin Mass that went and served their country versus the top prep schools where all these scumbags go in New York City, in Washington, D.C. Let's compare and contrast.
Who served their country?
The breeding ground of domestic terrorism or these great elite schools?
Now that Brown University was at 50% of Brown University think they're bisexual.
They can't figure out their binary pronouns.
The elites in our country are in a collapse, and in their collapse, they're trying to grip an authoritarian grip onto this nation.
Dave Bratt, you're going to be back tomorrow.
We've got capital markets. You've got a response to Krugman on the de-dollarization.
We're going to talk about the inflation numbers, all of it.
Interest rates. Where do people get to all your charts you put up nonstop, sir?
dave brat
Yeah, Brad Economics on Getter.
Come visit Liberty University.
I'm the Vice Provost for engagement now.
If you want me to come to your city, give a talk, happy to do so.
And just keep the faith.
The left is about deconstructing, destroying.
It's easy to destroy.
The Judeo-Christian West has always been constructive, but we live in a fallen world.
And so it's much easier for the radicals to destroy these great traditions.
Keep building and keep the faith.
unidentified
God bless everybody. You know what?
steve bannon
And one of the things about Liberty and other schools like Liberty, they put young people, young scholars, in touch with the primary documents.
Let them learn off of the original documents, not the interpretation of the documents.
Let them get into the Declaration.
Let them get into the Constitution, but also let them get into, from time immemorial, these great documents, the foundational elements of it.
So Dave Brett, thank you very much.
Honored to have you on here. Thanks, Steve.
Okay, we're going to have, and by the way, I really want to thank Real America's Voice and our entire team for skipping the break there so we could catch all that activity live.
By the way, as shocking as this has been today, we've been dipping out of this live for Johnson and for others, so we didn't program it like this.

There's still some tickets available.
Make sure you're there. It's going to be a great networking opportunity.
We're going to be doing the show live from there Saturday morning, so we want a big audience to show up.
