It brings us to the point.
Charles Grizzard, welcome to the show.
joy reid
I want to play for you what the MP Oleksandra Ustinova, who was on with us yesterday, said about what, despite the sort of incompetency and messiness of the Russian military, what she said they still need.
unidentified
Take a look.
The support we received today, this package that President Biden announced, it is very helpful, but this is not enough.
We have to stop the jets.
Jets can be stopped with the jets.
You cannot stop a jet with a javelin or a stinger or a drone.
You need another plane to shoot the plane.
We need the jets, like MiGs or like Su-25 that we know how to fly, we're flying them now, to put down their airplanes so they don't bomb our children, they don't bomb our women.
I promise you that in one month or in two months, this war will not end.
We will disappear from Western TV.
We will disappear from Western press.
And like other countries will try to forget about Ukraine, what is going on here.
It will not shock people that much.
So a good content and the good stories can help us to still maintain this interest interest in Western countries to Ukraine because we are very dependent on Western countries.
We cannot close our skies ourselves, for example. And we know that we have a great support, for example, of American people, which are much more brave than American politicians sometimes. Which, like, as I know that sociology says that, like, about 80 percent of American people want America to do more for Ukraine. So to maintain this, we have to give content
to foreign media so you have something to show which will touch your people and which will, like, inspire them to do something. And that will inspire your politicians, I Want America to do more for Ukraine so to maintain these we have to give a content to foreign media So you have something to show which will touch your people and which will like inspire them to do something and with that will inspire Your politicians I suppose you also have to figure out a way to tell people about it, right?
And I think the way in which this small team of mostly ex-television Producers who worked with him for years in the in Ukraine and have fashioned the most sophisticated political communications operation I've ever seen in real time Every single choice they've made has been brilliant and pitch perfect, and they have played it.
They understand that in this world we now live in, this very complicated, fragmented media landscape we occupy, that you got to play it high and low.
You got to play insurgent and establishment.
You got to do the interview with Lester Holtz, but you also got to be on TikTok.
You got to be everywhere all at once.
He's out there speaking English, speaking Russian.
He's transmitting on telegram all day long, messages to different audiences.
And then this week, we saw him do this global tour for Hearts and Minds, you know, the spring training games in Canada and the British Parliament and then coming to the big stage of America.
And again, with a perfectly executed 16 minute speech, with video in the middle of it, and a switch to English on the back end.
I just don't think I've ever seen anything more masterful, purely at the level of performance.
Not just the performance, again, gotta be a hero to look like a hero.
But man, he and his team have done an incredible job making the case for their people and using every media tool and understanding the world we now live in, in terms of media and digital technology as well as anybody I think ever, that we've seen, that we've ever seen.
joe scarborough
We have moved through a new century over the past 22 years where celebrity, the age of from Paris Hilton to the Kardashians, where celebrity was the end itself.
Not a means to an end, but celebrity was an end itself.
That's why when you have Zelensky, who's actually used his celebrity To risk his life, to liberate a nation, to fight and risk his life every day to free 42, 43, 44 million people.
It is cutting through whether it's on TikTok or whether it's on traditional television or other streaming services.
It's cutting through in a way we have not seen, because this is not about celebrity.
This is about life and death.
This is good versus evil.
This is freedom versus bondage.
And Zelensky has used his celebrity and his ability to use multiple media platforms to fight deliberative people.
jonathan lemire
Think of the contrast between the two television celebrities who rose to power in democracies in recent years.
They met, of course, in the sidelines of the United Nations in September 2019.
Donald Trump, Vladimir Zelensky.
And Trump, of course, used his celebrity to be elected and then tried to, in many ways, enrich himself in office.
That inflection point was when he was trying to extort Zelensky to get political dirt on his likely opponent, Joe Biden, and threatened to withhold lethal military aid unless the Ukrainians did so.
And Zelensky, so desperate to have America's help, at least did consider it before then saying no.
Trump, of course, got impeached for that, and we have seen the ramifications of that moment ripple through this particular war in Eastern Europe because of how he undermined NATO, the way he cozied up to Putin.
Zelensky, of course, has gone exactly the other direction, where he has become this unlikely symbol of democracy.
moral leader, who has had pitch-perfect presentations to parliaments and congresses across the globe, who has, as Jon Hammond noted, you know, really mastered the communications, the media of this, which is so important on every level.
And those messaging, that messaging is not just to appeals to the West for help, but also to rally his own people.
He has stayed, he's saying.
He's broadcasting where he is.
I'm here.
Come get me, he's more or less saying.
I'm not abandoning this country.
And his fellow people are doing the same, and they're fighting back, and he's inspiring them each and every day.
chris hayes
One major factor that could influence the progress of negotiations one way or the other is where China stands in all this.
Of course, history is replete with examples of major late intervention changing the tide of a war, from the French helping in the American Revolution to the U.S.
entering into World War II after the attack on Pearl Harbor.
There have been reports that China is amplifying Russian disinformation about the war, and that Russia has explicitly asked China for military and economic aid.
Some have also noted that China hasn't issued an official condemnation of the use of force by Russia like they have done in other similar circumstances.
The Chinese ambassador to the U.S.
denied all this in a Washington Post op-ed saying, quote, in a phone call with Putin on the second day of the conflict, Chinese President Xi Jinping expressed China's desire to see Russia and Ukraine hold peace talks as early as possible and received a positive response.
unidentified
I think that integration with the Russian economy is a dead end for China, because I don't think that we are going to see the end of Russian sanctions.
I think as they continue to engage in war crimes, the entirety of the West is going to sanction more and more companies that do business with Russia.
And so that will mean that the Chinese, if they integrate more deeply with Russia, if they do weapons supplies, are going to find themselves subject to some of those sanctions.
So Wendy Sherman made, I think, a very good moral case for why China needs to take a firm line against this Russian invasion of Ukraine.
But I think there's also a very clear economic case that it's bad for China.
If it ultimately sends a signal that it's going to be with Russia rather than with the rest of the world.
China is much more integrated with the rest of the world's economy than Russia was and so the effect of economic sanctions on China are much more significant than they are on Russia.
steve bannon
Okay, the naivete, the stupidity, and, you know, the Zelensky thing.
I'm gonna bring Steve Cortez.
And this is what's embarrassing, is Republican senators and people like Kevin McCarthy that have fallen in and all fanboying over this.
When, for the good of this country, its citizens, the citizens of Ukraine, the citizens in Russia, We need to be clear.
This is what they mean by fog of war.
You've always heard that term.
You're living it right now.
Remember, in a fourth turning, everybody out there says, oh, in the revolution, I would have been at Saratoga and I would have been at Yorktown.
I've done this.
Bunker Hill.
I'd have been right with Washington and Cambridge when he put the army together.
At Civil War, I'd have been the first volunteers immediately, right?
I've been at Gettysburg.
I've been all there, right?
I know.
In World War II, yep, I'd have been there, the first thing.
This is what the fog of war is.
You must cut through it, okay?
And you must cut through it and weigh and measure what reality is.
The first casualty of war is the truth.
That's in every war.
The first casualty of war is truth.
And Churchill, I think it was Churchill's quote, That the truth is so precious in war, when guns go off, or when your economic warfare, or cyber warfare, or information warfare, that it has to be protected by a bodyguard of lies.
A bodyguard of lies.
The Financial Times would disagree with John Heilman.
That was John Heilman of MSNBC.
That was, by the way, John Heilman that interviewed me for Showtime's The Circus On September 29th of 2020, on the first debate, when I sat there in that evening and laid out exactly, this is in September, when the early voting had just started.
I laid out in September 2020, with Heilman grilling me, exactly how things are going to play out about not being able to certify, about Trump winning on election day, all these mail-in ballots, and all this cheating that Mark Elias and these guys were setting up, that we would win that night.
They would call that the Red Mirage, that two weeks later Biden would do it, and then it would be decertified and Trump would win in the House of Representatives.
unidentified
All of it.
steve bannon
On September, it was Hauman.
And he's sitting there, the buried lead of all this.
Zelensky is a comedy actor.
He's like a Seinfeld type.
He's a comedy actor that played in this series that was kind of like their West Wing, but with a little guy, a teacher, right?
Who they all love.
You gotta love teachers, right?
He's a teacher.
That's their role model, right?
Just like in Saving Private Ryan, what was Tom Hanks?
You gotta be, he's an elementary school teacher, right?
The teacher's all gotta be the heroes.
Gotta have heroes.
They're scripted out.
It's all their comedy writers and TV producers.
And here's the thing, people that should know better and to be able to weigh and measure exactly what's going on and to make sure that they're not more victims to this war, particularly women and children in Ukraine, but basically and most importantly, the citizens of the United States of America and our beloved Republic.
Remember, we only get engaged in wars that are in the vital national security interest of the United States.
Let me repeat that.
We only get engaged in conflicts that are in the vital, underlined vital, national security interest of the United States.
If you're a neocon, then you're into spreading democracy all over the world.
And God bless them.
We support democracy, but to get into actual conflict, is that not Iraq?
Is that not Afghanistan?
Did we not learn anything?
Do we have no learning curve whatsoever?
Do we have any learning curve whatsoever?
We did not get involved in World War II to save democracy.
Let me just be blunt about that.
A military junta of an imperial power tried to run us out of Asia, okay, and bombed our military installation, one of our most forward-deployed installations, declaring war on us.
We declared war the next day.
Then a group of fascists, Hitler and then Mussolini, declared war on us a couple days later.
And we were in that conflict.
So let me be blunt about that.
All this looking at hindsight is a fight for democracy.
It was a fight for America, okay?
Because we were attacked and the allies of the bad guys that attacked us declared war on us.
And our greatest allies, remember, we came to the defense of England, and England's always been there in the 20th century, right?
England came, we had to, but remember, go back to my 12 o'clock guy, in the spring of 1942 when the war just started, only the Americans would do precision daylight bombing, precision daylight, underlying daylight bombing over German industrial plants.
That's why young American men were served up daily.
Death, okay?
Death, and the bodies haven't even been, what is it, 40,000 or some huge number of the 8th Air Corps.
We've never even gotten back.
They're not even in a cemetery somewhere.
They're just missing.
Never got them back.
That wasn't an advanced democracy.
We came to the aid of England because we were attacked by Japan, Germany declared war on us.
And our two biggest allies were the Lao-Beijing, the Chinese people, not Chiang Kai-Shek and Mao Tse-Tung, the Chinese people and the Russian people, who had the two greatest murderers, dictators, Stalin and Mao, as their heads.
And as bad as you could possibly get.
And right here, the Financial Times says it.
This is not War Room, and it's not Steve Bannon.
So Media Matters, all the guys are saying, oh, this is Zelensky.
This is the Financial Times.
Zelensky scolds Berlin, okay?
This is a blame-and-shame tour.
And you just heard Hauman and all these guys.
It's so amazing.
Yes, it's very sophisticated information warfare.
And I don't need Zelensky, you know, being Churchill in the House of Commons and quoting Martin Luther King here, but calling up Pearl Harbor in 9-11.
Hello?
Right?
And guys clapping, they're out there and slobbering all over him.
Right?
I don't need to see the blame and shame tour.
And I don't need to see it because you can see the footage all day long of the women and children.
It's quite obvious.
It's a cauldron.
But think of the action.
The EU and NATO led these people in there and they cut them off and left them to their own fate.
Just remember what's going on here.
It's Brussels and Davos, the city of London, Wall Street, and yes, the imperial power right here that led them into it.
Mershimer said, led them into the Primrose Path and then said, you're to your own fate.
Be back in a moment with the Xi, Biden and going to the border next.

With Stephen K. Bannon.
unidentified
The epidemic is a demon and we cannot let this demon hide.
War Room.
Pandemic.
joe scarborough
Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
steve bannon
Okay, look, I understand for certain members of the audience, right, that you can't stand the sound of the voice of anybody MSNBC, but this is a learning exercise, right?
There's nothing on this show that is not done for a reason, that is behind the scenes, argued about and talked about and ripped apart and we scream at each other, all of that.
In the in the spirit of camaraderie right the team here at the war room and with our partners in Denver about what to do the cold opens and what we do this for a reason so that you can concisely don't watch this crap all day long you can concisely see.
The bid and the ask.
You can see how this is being positioned.
You see how this is being driven by the organs of power.
Even if you don't like the New York Times, or you don't like the Washington Post, or you don't like the Wall Street Journal, or you don't like MSNBC and CNN, you have to understand in the world in which you live, they go a long way to defining what happens in your life.
Okay, and what this show is, what the purpose of the show is empowerment.
It's agency.
The reason we're winning all these things and reasoning of Richard Barris comes on with polling and Steve Cortez does this thing and all that is because you are participating at a level that's never had participation before.
And this show is to kind of make sure that we lay out for you so you cannot detect.
We're not here to tell you.
We're here to show you.
Right.
And in showing you, you can then come up with your kind of own game plan for your personal life, your family's life, your community's life and your country's life.
And that's why this show is so powerful.
And that's why so many people listen and particularly people active.
I don't care about passive listeners.
I just don't.
Right.
I don't care if this is the big it doesn't need to be the biggest show.
It never needs to be the biggest show because we're not entertainment.
We're not here to entertain you.
Understand this show is tough to go through, particularly all the stuff we throw at you constantly.
But, it's a vanguard.
You're a vanguard.
And you have moved the needle more than any way that you even think, I think you can comprehend, of the importance of what you have done this audience.
So when we do that, there is a reason.
And look, you can disagree with it.
We love disagreeing.
We don't, and look, we disagree with each other all the time internally on the production team and with great people like Peter Navarro and Steve Cortez and across the board.
But with that, I want to make sure that, because we're in, This is the Fog of War, and things are going to be happening here over the next 60, 90 days, 120 days, that are going to set a path through this dark valley of like the 1930s, right?
And America, as I keep saying in the fourth turning, at the end of this, We're going to be one thing or the other.
We're going to either be the constitutional republic that has been handed down to us from battlefield after battlefield, from struggle after struggle, from going across this continent.
And founding this nation and everything this nation has provided in wealth and freedom for people throughout the world and the wars we fought in to free people and to have the prosperity of all those generations that we have an obligation to, not just the future.
Remember, we have a bigger obligation to the past as we have to the future.
That's what agency is about.
You're here for one period of time.
One small period of time in that temporal time, and it's about how you use your agency.
And the call to arms here has been spectacular because you don't need to pick up a gun and go somewhere.
What you need to do is go take over your school board or take over your precinct strategy.
Empower yourself.
And that's what we're here to do.
And we're winning.
And today we're going to go to the border that counts, and that's the southern border.
Because, whether you're having all this talk, and all this, and the eastern border of Ukraine, because he's fighting for that land bridge, and I don't know if we ever give that land bridge up, we just got the readout from China too, and China's tapping us along.
China's absolutely back there, underwriting the Russians, and they're going to arm the Russians.
This is their plan to become a hegemon of the Eurasian land mass.
With Iran and Persia, right?
Persia, Iran, whatever you want to call it.
With now the Gulf Emirates, with our good buddies in Saudi Arabia, right?
With Pakistan and principally with Russia.
Okay, so that's a fiction.
They're going to give happy talk because they consider us a tributary state.
At 11 o'clock today we're going to have Miranda Devine on here talking about the hard drive from hell.
We were the first people, the New York Post printed it, we were the only people that came out on media and this is why we were taken down on Twitter.
Because Jack Maxson continued to put up both the pornography that came off of Hunter Biden's depraved life In all the way that they were compromised by the Chinese Communist Party.
That started in September of 2020.
September 2020.
We were relentless.
I don't care if they took us down to YouTube.
I could care less.
We got it out there.
And now we understand that the New York Times and those intelligence officers all lied.
All lied.
But that's tied to the call today.
Biden and these guys are already compromised by the Chinese Communist Party.
They look at it as a tributary power.
And they say, oh, we've got to work together.
Because it's going their way.
Steve Cortez, I want to bring you in, then I'm going to go to Ben Berkram at the border.
I got Gordon Chang, just hang with Gordon Chang.
The great Gordon Chang, ladies and gentlemen, understand, the great Gordon Chang of the Committee on the Present Danger, a guy that we love on the show, Gordon, the great Gordon Chang, on MSNBC today, and they're sitting there with the big old eyes, wow, look at them, man, and Gordon Chang's just laying pipe on them, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, right?
And they're sitting there with the big eyes, man, I've never heard of that.
They live in the biggest bubble in the world.
Steve Cortez, Brother Cortez, your observations, particularly the information warfare.
Heilman's sitting there, and Heilman's is, he went to Northwestern, he's Quatenance's roommate at Northwestern, right?
He's one of the most sophisticated media, information warfare, political personalities out here.
John Heilman gets in, he said, hey, the TV, it's a TV, they're producing a TV show.
And the mooks in the Republican Party have bought in, and you're embarrassing yourself.
And history's going to show that we're right and you're wrong, and you are clowns, and now you've proven beyond any doubt, Lindsey Graham, and that group of clowns around you, you are not fit to make decisions about the direction of this nation.
Steve Cortes.
steve cortes
And Steve, in that regard, this whole saga over Ukraine, it has been a clarifying moment to inform the citizens of the United States, and particularly the adherents to America First, the deplorables out there, that we simply cannot count on supposed Republican leaders or supposed conservative leaders to resist this temptation of pure emotional sentimentality.
No, they have been seduced.
They have been seduced by the showmanship of Zelensky, of the American media.
And they are gladly and willingly complicit in a march to war.
We are already at economic war, a potential march to kinetic war that is unbelievably dangerous for the United States.
And Steve, I'm glad you played that opening montage and you're right.
It's hard to stomach, but stomach it, we must as American citizens.
And here's why.
It's important for us to realize just what garbage the ruling class of America are.
And I'm talking about the mavens of media, big business CEOs, and then the administrative state and the permanent political class of both parties.
The ruling class right now In this country, which is unfortunately descending ever more into oligarchy, the ruling class is composed of garbage who are only interested in their own self-aggrandizement to the detriment of the American people.
And let me be specific on policy in this regard.
Let me put a policy to my criticisms.
This week, I believe, will ultimately be remembered in economic infamy because on the Ides of March of this week, that is the day when the Saudis said something that would have been unthinkable a year ago, 10 years ago, 20 years ago.
The Saudis said, we are going to accept Chinese yuan as payment for our oil.
Now, to a lot of Americans, they might say, eh, does that really matter?
Yes.
Here's why it matters to your life.
Because King Dollar, which has been the reserve currency of the world for a solid century, has been a key proponent of American prosperity.
It has been a key depressant until now upon prices.
It's been one of the key reasons that we've had, for the most part, 40 years until Biden, of stable, tame, acceptable levels of inflation in this country.
Because the world demanded dollars.
From banks all over the world, from central banks to businesses, to oil companies, to arms dealers.
Every significant transaction in the world occurred in dollars, creating a demand for dollars.
I believe that King Dollar is being dethroned right now, and that the Ides of March marked, to me, the demarcation line because of Joe Biden.
He has, in only 14 months in office, destroyed a century of economic credibility that came before him.
So that is just one of the massive real world consequences of a garbage ruling class that is willing to roll the dice by engaging in an economic war against the Russian people and is willing to jeopardize the dollar's status.
steve bannon
Make sure everybody understands that you're a combatant in this, everybody in the audience.
We are at economic war.
We've swept all the reserves they had in foreign banks, right?
I think two-thirds of which, I think they had $800 billion or $900 billion in reserves.
I think two-thirds of those were in dollars or in euros, swept those.
When after to try to take down the central bank, try to destroy their currency, and people are open about it, because they want the people of Russia to have regime change, to overthrow Putin and the clique around him, and they think the best way to do it is to have an open revolution, which would not cause any bloodshed, obviously, right, if that happened, but an open revolution.
And my point is, hey, if you're going to decide to do that, that's okay, but come forward, let's have a War Powers Act, Right?
Call for the War Powers Act.
Say specifically what you're doing.
The Republicans are running around this emotion.
We want to send guns, planes.
I want to send MiG-29s, which is absurd and infantile.
I want to, you know, we ought to do a partial close the sky.
Zelensky keeps saying you must close the sky, partial close the sky.
Let's send Stingers.
Let's just arm it like crazy.
You got radio talk show hosts saying let's send them all arms.
Okay.
Fine, but I would like to have either the War Powers Act or Biden come forward and just make the case to the American people so we can cut out the emotion.
We can cut the emotion and we don't have to sit there and whine later, oh there's a Gulf of Tonkin and they lied to me.
Or there's weapons of mass destruction and they lied to me.
No, this is on you and it's on me and it's on every citizen.
No more ability to whine.
I didn't know, I'm not, it's not my fault.
No, you're a combatant.
Understand, your government's speaking for you and you're a combatant and all we ought to have is an adult conversation.
Leave the sentimentality aside and have the same kind of hard-headed discussion FDR and his advisors and General Marshall and everybody had on the evening Of December 7th, 1941, in the White House, when they said, we're not going to declare war on Germany, we're going to declare war on Japan, because they hit us yesterday.
That was hard-headed realism.
Hard-headed.
Although we had planned for a land war, and I didn't say we weren't getting ready for it.
We definitely were getting ready for it, there's no doubt about it.
But pulling the trigger must be adults.
We need adults, not children.
When I was a child, I thought as a child, but now that I'm a man, I put away childish things.
The War Room.
In a minute.

Pandemic.
With Stephen K. Bannon.
The epidemic is a demon, and we cannot let this demon hide.
War Room.
Pandemic.
joe scarborough
Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
steve bannon
OK, welcome back.
We're going to go here shortly to the only border that we care about.
That's the southern border of the United States of America, which is getting ready for, and this is Axios, the great Jonathan Swan, massive scoop yesterday.
And Todd Bensman's done the math.
We could have... We've had historic numbers every month.
When I say historic numbers, I want to just make sure you've got something to put in mind.
We have more illegal aliens invading this country every month than we had troops combined with our Canadian allies and the British on D-Day.
Okay?
June 6, 1944.
More.
Boom.
Every month.
Every month!
And now we're getting ready for 400,000.
And Todd Benzman, CIS, we're going to go to Burkhardt in a second.
But in all of this, in all of this, and they're trying to take your eye off the ball, and they're trying to say it's Putin, even Axelrod said it last night, it's absurd.
He said it's absurd to say that Putin had anything to do with this inflation.
Steve Cortes, I just want to make sure how the American people are going to continue to get buried alive here.
Give me the housing number.
steve cortes
Awful housing news just hitting the wires right now, Stephen.
By the way, this is how we don't major in the minors.
Let's stop worrying about a border that is 5,000 miles away.
Let's worry about the inflation explosion right here in this country and what it means to the prosperity of regular Americans.
We just got out Home sales and it was a massive miss versus expectations on a yearly basis.
It was 6.02 million expectations were for 6.1.
So almost a hundred thousand homes fewer than expected last month to put this in context for comparison.
It was 6.5 million annual rate.
So we are we are decelerating in a massive way in the housing market.
And the main reason is that mortgage rates are rising very significantly this week for the first time in three years for the first time since 2019.
The average 30-year mortgage rate, 30-year fixed mortgage rate is above 4% because of Biden's inflation explosion.
One other part of this housing number that I find fascinating, Steve, and it's a bigger topic for another time, but I think it's worth mentioning right here.
20% of all home sales in the United States right now are from investors, not people who are going to live in them.
They are from hedge funds.
Black Rock, Blackstone, et cetera.
So regular people, aspirational Americans, young people, first-time homebuyers are being priced out of the housing market.
The numbers are showing us this increasingly.
And it again, it is because of policy choices.
It's because of the inflation explosion in this country now.
These are the kind of kitchen table issues that really matter to Americans.
While all of the Washington war machine wants to obsess over a conflict in which America has no national interest, let's worry about housing in this country, about rental rates, about home prices, about affordability.
steve bannon
Here's why.
Let's take an income statement and a balance sheet.
We're going to address you as your little business, your own little business.
You're the CEO of yourself, right?
And as a business, you have a couple of things.
You have income, right, just like a business, and you have assets, just like a business, right?
And we say you get digital intellectual property that they try to steal from you every day, but you have assets and you have income.
We know, because CNBC and all the analysis, 64% of the American people live paycheck to paycheck, okay?
80% can't miss a paycheck in 30 days, okay?
80%, right?
I think it's 90% for 90 days, and that includes many of the people in the quote-unquote in the middle class right here.
Right?
We now know with inflation burning up like the woman in Phoenix the other day with the ceramic shop, all those jobs are going to be gone.
All these kind of jobs that are doing economic uplifts, little service jobs, because people can delay the ceramic shops' purchase for a year or two when they can't afford fuel and they can't afford food, right?
And their rents are sky high.
But let's take the asset side.
Remember, I think it's 90% of the net worth of an individual person, when he looks at it, 90% of the net worth is in your equity in your home.
Well, as these, that housing drop, as these interest rates start to explode to try to choke down the inflation brought to Biden, note to self, your, the equity in your home, I wouldn't take that to the bank.
I wouldn't, a lot of banks aren't going to be lending you a second on that.
Okay?
You know why?
Because it's going to be in play.
We're not going to really know what that equity is worth.
Is that correct, Steve Cortez?
They're hitting you.
My point is, the economic carnage is hitting you as your little CEO of your own self.
The CEO of your own self.
My incomes, I got income and I got assets.
You're getting hammered right now on the income side and about to be destroyed.
Oh, guess what?
Your assets, because, hey, at the interest rates they've had to date, you can't accumulate capital, but they're about to hit you with the double whammy to destroy.
Those of you lucky enough to own, don't be taking that a second on the home equity right now.
Please, don't do it.
Steve Kortes.
steve cortes
No, that's exactly right, Steven.
And again, you said there, if you're lucky enough, if you're fortunate to be in the situation where you do own, and if you own, where you have significant equity, unfortunately, that's an increasingly small group of Americans.
This is what Joe Biden, by the way, though, has always done.
His first time in the White House, meaning his eight years as Vice President of the United States.
This is a very damning but true statistic that comes from Fed data, not from my data, from Federal Reserve data.
The top 10% of earners saw their net worth increase over the period of those eight years.
The other 90% of America, the vast preponderance of Americans, saw their net worth decrease over a period of eight years.
And the reason I say over both terms, I'm not penalizing them for what they inherited, which was a terrible economy, admittedly, in 2009.
But over eight years, 90% of the American people went backwards in net worth when Obama and Biden were in charge, supposedly the most progressive administration ever, if not in decades, at least ever.
In the United States, so these are the inevitable results of their policies, of their globalist policies that reward the credentialed class and punish the vast majority of citizens in this country, particularly working class people.
They're at it again, only this time on steroids.
They're doing it faster and they're doing it in a more fierce fashion right now.
And the data, you know, this housing data today is one additional data point to show us That this is accelerating.
Right now, we have the worst of all worlds in this economy.
We have rising prices, rising interest rates with a decelerating economy.
We are already in a place of the 1970s economically, and I fear that if we don't de-escalate this war, or at least our involvement in this war, we're going to go to a place of the 1930s.
Forget about the 70s.
We're going to go right past it and end up in a place of the 1930s.
unidentified
30s.
steve bannon
We're heading to the 1930s.
It's going to be a depression.
Okay.
I want to go to the border.
Is Ben Burquam still with us?
I want to apologize to all our guests that we're running late because we've got a lot to go through.
Ben Burquam.
Ben, you're in Pinal County.
You're in Arizona.
Uh, near the border.
Give us an update.
And are people there ready for this onslaught?
When Title 42, and people should know, 42 is what Trump put in about the pandemic.
When that's ripped off, and the pressure on Biden, you know, quote-unquote, he's gonna do it, uh, here shortly, Axios is telling them it's gonna be a mass immigration event.
That's what they call it.
Are people in Pinal County right now, in southern Arizona, the border, are they ready for that Ben Burquam?
ben bergquam
No Steve, they're stretched so thin.
I was talking to Sheriff Mark Lamb yesterday and he's saying they could use another 10 sheriff's deputies on the road right now.
To give you an idea of why and what that means is right now they only have the deputies to catch the incoming traffic.
So those are the people coming in.
They're so overwhelmed with people coming in.
From Mexico and trying to apprehend the smugglers bringing them in that they're not catching any of the money or drugs going back into Mexico that are fueling the cartels that are continuing this and when you add a hundred and seventy thousand more people potential and I estimate it's gonna even be more than that those are the people that are right on the border all that is is a magnet as soon as title 42 goes away You're basically creating a vacuum to the world, inviting the 151 different countries to immediately come to our southern border.
They know that at that point they're in.
And if you read these stories, if you read Axios, if you read any of the stories that are coming out about this, it is the same enemies.
The key on this, the action on this, are the organizations behind it.
You look at groups like the ACLU and these so-called immigration groups, this is not enough for them.
So as America's being bled out, these organizations are pushing for more.
They want more and more and more to the point where there are no borders.
I think Congressman Rutherford, Sheriff Rutherford, I was speaking to him a while back.
He said it best.
This is not failed policy by Joe Biden and the Democrats.
This is the policy.
This is the destruction of America in real time and we're seeing it right now.
I was riding yesterday with sheriffs.
We caught multiple different groups.
We had one group where there was a guy stuffed in the trunk coming across illegally.
These are the carpet shoes they're wearing.
This is a demonstration of the invasion.
And to Steve Cortez's point, this is also economic warfare.
Every single person that comes across, we're talking about supply and demand, every single person that comes across is taking supply from your children.
and your grandchildren and the citizens that are going to come after you.
unidentified
No.
ben bergquam
And they're also causing inflation to increase.
But they're also causing job prices to decrease because now we can, they'll work for less than you're willing to work for.
So as your prices are going up, your wages are going down.
It's an absolute disaster.
steve bannon
Your schools are destroyed, your health care is destroyed, and the working class of Hispanics down there can't take any more pressure.
And Fentanyl coming across, but you've got to go back to the key point.
Don't bury the lead.
The folks are so overwhelmed, and they don't have the resources.
We just passed a $1.5 trillion, with a trillion-dollar defense bill.
unidentified
Yes.
steve bannon
Because we had to do it in the middle of the night.
The $14 billion, we've got to get to Ukraine.
We must get to Ukraine.
That's right.
Because Zelensky tells us that we've got to get to Ukraine, $14 billion.
Yet, the guys, the Hispanic Americans in La Jolla, Texas, are telling us they ain't got enough squad cars to chase folks.
Okay?
Just the illegals coming across.
Sheriff Lamb saying, I could use 10 more deputies.
10 more deputies.
We got money for everything else in the world, but we don't have money to defend this border.
And the frontline people down there.
But the buried lead is, they're so busy, they don't have any time for the cartels.
So the cartels can human traffic, they can sex traffic, they can drug traffic.
That's right.
These murderous... One of the most... If you go down the Rio Grande Valley and you say, hey, what's an existential threat?
What's going on in the border of Russian-speaking part of Ukraine?
Or the cartels that are coming across and cutting your heads off?
What's the answer, Ben Burquam?
ben bergquam
Clearly, the cartels, they live amongst you.
Our country has already been invaded.
We have foreign enemy combatants in every community across this country.
And what we're doing right now is inviting more of them.
We're sending our treasure, our children's treasure, to foreign countries as we are bleeding out this nation.
And there are enemies within this nation who are advocating for it.
You're right.
Every single law enforcement agency that I'm riding with, that we're working with, they are all overwhelmed, whether that's La Jolla or Parnell.
And now you're adding fuel on top of that fire.
It is going to be an absolute disaster.
steve bannon
I want every Hispanic that can hear my voice, and tell all your Hispanic friends, Hispanic Americans, I want you, don't need to watch War Room.
Don't watch it.
I want you to watch MSNBC and CNN every night.
Every night.
And you tell me if they're talking about what's happening in your life.
Particularly in South Texas, in Arizona, in the Rio Grande Valley.
Please watch it.
Just watch it.
And tell me if that speaks to you.
You tell me if they got your concerns in mind.
Okay?
While you're living the reality of what the cartels are doing to you and this invasion that's destroying your schools, destroying your communities, destroying your healthcare, increases in crime.
You don't listen to me.
You know, I'm a right-wing nationalist.
No, listen to MSNBC and CNN, and then you, because you're a rational human being, you weigh and measure.
And I've got to tell you, when a Democrat comes around, you'll spit on the floor and go vote Republican, is what you'll do.
You'll vote MAGA.
Ben Berkman, how do people follow you?
What are you going to be doing for the next couple of days?
Because you're at the border we should be concerned about.
ben bergquam
We'll be riding again with the Penel County Sheriffs today.
We'll be riding into the evening tonight.
And just stay tuned.
April, if Title 42 goes away, it's set to renew in April.
If they don't renew it, it's going to be an absolute disaster.
We'll be going down to Yuma and covering down there.
They're already overwhelmed down there.
We're going to continue to bring it to you every single part of the border and telling you the story that really matters.
You can find me on americasvoice.news, frontlineamerica.com, or at Ben Burquam on all social media.
steve bannon
He's Real America's Voice, top investigative reporter.
He's down there in harm's way.
Ben, be safe.
Say hi to Sheriff Lamb.
Tell everybody down there we got their back.
We love Pinal County, Southern Arizona.
Thank you, sir.
ben bergquam
Yes, sir.
steve bannon
The great Todd Bensman's going to join Steve Cortez and myself.
We've also got a lot on China.
Miranda Devine's up.
Just strap in, hang on.
It's going to get only hotter.
We're going to talk about this nominee for the Supreme Court and these issues about sentencing of pedophiles.
All of that in the next hour.

Okay, from one of the War Room posse, Bannon starts a show with these liars, that would be the MSNBC and CNN, to rile us up, laugh a lot, I thought I was to inform us, many of us, me included, do not watch mainstream media, so this lets us know how far off base their propaganda is, exactly.
Your life is shaped by that.
Your life is shaped by that.
We're the counterpunch, we're the countervailing force, is what they call it, right?
We're the countervailing force, but it's about you.
It ain't about us, not about Cortez, myself, Todd Bensman, Sean Hannity, the great Tucker Carlson, Jesse Waters, Donald J. Trump, our great leader of our movement.
It's about you.
That's what they fear most.
That's what they hate this show.
Why do you think they hate Trump so much?
It's not Trump himself.
I mean, Trump was a billionaire.
He was in those social circles for almost all of his life until he was 70 years old.
They hate him because he gave you a seat at the table.
That's what it does.
Out of the room, out of the deal.
That's the way the empire works.
It's the way all empires work, quite frankly.
Out of the room, out of the deal.
Trump not just got you in the room, he got you at the head of the table and gave you a voice and a hammer himself, right?
That's why they hate him.
But they hate him because he represents you.
And you're getting – you're not getting played.
This is what I love.
This is why it's always back to the people.
You're not getting played, the leader of the Republican Party, and it's embarrassing.
And by the way, I'm going to play all these tapes from what's been going on the last couple of weeks.
I'm going to play it over and over and over and over again, the little emotional – like 11-year-old little girls.
That's what they are, 11-year-old little girls.
I can say this, Captain Bannon, Moe, we showed you in your Irish dance outfit yesterday.
You were playing volleyball back then.
You were a much more serious person at 11 than these leaders, right, are.
And there are many young women out there like that.
Okay, I want to go to Todd Bensman right now.
First off, Cortez, any thoughts, observations before I go to Bensman, who's going to give us the bad news here?
steve cortes
Right.
Well, you know, speaking of bad news, Ben Burkham was spot on the money.
There's never a good time, of course, to lose control of our border.
Never a good time to have an open border.
But this is the worst of all times.
Why?
Because real wages are crashing right now in the United States.
Even if your paycheck is going up, it's not going up enough to keep pace with Biden's torrid inflation.
So you are literally losing ground.
You are getting poorer by the month.
The worst possible add-on to that situation, addition to that situation, is to bring in millions of new workers to compete unlawfully and unfairly, unjustly in the labor market against American citizens.
I would also just say this quickly.
You know, look, what I hear from a lot of Republicans, a lot of establishmentarians, when you make this point of, let's focus on our border rather than Ukraine's, they say, well, we can do both.
OK, and I'm going to give the J.D.
Vance retort to that, which is what he says is that, well, then why don't you?
Right.
You have not shown the ability to focus on more than one macro issue at a time.
Permanent political class, administrative state on the United States.
Clearly, you are not able to multitask.
And so the priority has to be the domestic problems here.
steve bannon
Okay, the priority is that, but we're not isolated.
But hang on, until somebody comes to me and shows me a plan, I'll put my Goldman Sachs and my financier hats on, until somebody comes to us and treats us like an adult and walks us through, how are you going to pay for all this?
This is a complete joke.
It's a joke that you have a trillion dollar defense bill because we're everywhere picking up the slack for all the deadbeats in Europe.
Let's be blunt, okay?
Germany, to pick a random example.
No, when somebody can come and show you how it's sustainable, because you have a trillion dollar deficit minimum, and I say it's a trillion and a half going to two trillion every year, and you're not going to raise taxes, right?
So tell me, you can't grow your way out of it.
I've done enough business financing to understand the model doesn't work.
It's not sustainable.
If this was a business, we'd say, guys, this is not sustainable.
You don't have enough growth.
Right?
To drive more revenue.
You don't.
So therefore it's got to be deficits finance.
How are we going to do it?
We either raise taxes, sell the bonds to the Japanese and the Chinese, or just print money.
And print money is just a scam.
It's just the Treasury buying.
It's all phony.
It's you buying it.
It's you buying the securities because there's no other buyer for it.
Look around yourself.
If somebody's selling you a government security, right, just to continue to finance these deficits, shouldn't you have a say-so in it?
Shouldn't you say, well, hang on, that's an obligation for my kids and my grandkids and now me.
Maybe we have a say-so.
Until they can come back and show us how it's sustainable, Republicans.
You gutless cowards, until you can show us how it's sustainable.
No, it shouldn't be the eastern border of Ukraine.
It's got to be the southern border of the United States.
Now, if you can make the case that it's sustainable, that's different.
That's different.
And somebody says, well, Steve, why are you all over Taiwan, South China Sea?
Because that is, and let me repeat this, in the vital national security interest of the United States.
And let me underline vital about 10 times.
Why?
It's not just for the democracy and the freedom and for the people in Hong Kong and things that maybe we had a moral obligation because we did have a treaty there to guarantee at least for what, 75 years or 50 years that we walked away from, right?
Looked the other way.
But we don't have a choice in Taiwan.
It is Silicon Valley West.
90% of advanced chip design is made, is developed, made, manufactured on that island.
If we lose that island, your economy is going to drop 30%.
Immediately.
Immediately.
You can build all the plants you want in Austin, now you blow all the plants in Tucson that we should have done decades ago when we tried to do in the Trump White House.
But of course, I don't mention Larry Kudlow or other names.
No, it's just the free market working out.
Hey, you got the Chinese are rolling, Reuters just reports, they're rolling a carrier battle group through the Straits of Taiwan today.
You know why?
They're going to say, hey, Seventh Fleet, we've been watching War Room.
We see Captain Fresnel says the Seventh Fleet's not up to it.
We agree.
We know they're not up to it.
So we're going to roll our own carrier battle group through there.
The Americans are so tough.
In Taiwan, you don't have a choice.
The Ukraine's totally optional, and I understand the people there being sure, but that's because the EU and NATO have been pressing this bet for decades.
And Mersheim at Chicago said, we let them down the Primrose Path and then cut them loose to their own fate.
Okay, short commercial break.
We've got Todd Benzema here.
We've got Miranda Devine.
We've got a packed second hour.
Terry Schilling.
We've got Thayer.
We've got Rebecca Koffler of Putin's war plan.
I want to see that hour.
Maybe I'll turn this over to Cortez and just watch.
