Declaring war on the New World Order.
truth radio show dot com shalom and welcome to the damper diner show on truth radio show dot com So we are now chapter 15 of this awesome gospel of the book of Luke in this comprehensive study.
So let's begin guys.
So like always, we like to do a specific biblical study approach.
Number one, we pray for wisdom and understanding.
So let's do that right now.
Let's pray to our Lord and Savior Jesus, He is your Messiah, that we ask for forgiveness for our individual sins and transgressions and trespasses.
And we ask you, Heavenly Father, to install the Holy Spirit upon us, to be our great divine teacher, so we can fully understand and comprehend your book of Luke chapter 15 today.
And we ask you to help anybody that's going through any spiritual or physical problems and anybody that's troubled as well.
Feeling sick or anything like the thought, we ask you to comfort them and please bless them and ordain them with your precious blood, your Jesus, Yeshua.
And in your heavenly name we ask, Amen.
So that being said, guys, because prayer is the most important thing, that's what, you know, ignites the Holy Spirit within us, you know, descends upon us, I'm sorry, into us so we can understand the Word, because the Holy Spirit writes it upon our heart.
We don't just read through the Bible, we actually examine it.
So, we read the scripture in context, because context is key.
And I know people have been following this series since we started off the book of Matthew, did the book of Mark, and I did the book of Jude as well.
It's only one chapter.
That's where I started off with all this, and I decided, hey, let's do the whole Bible.
So, we have to do this every time, this Bible study approach, guys.
Because we need a constant reminder that we must pray for wisdom and understanding.
We must read the Scripture in context, because context is key.
Let the Scripture interpret the Scripture.
That means the Holy Spirit, let that interpret it.
Because this is the Word made flesh.
This is Jesus.
He is your Messiah.
So let's begin and if you got a Bible guys, please open it up and we got up on screen if those are watching on the video edition.
Audio edition, I highly encourage you because I need for you to read this for yourselves.
It's very important.
Even after this video, you need to read this for yourselves.
So open up the Bible, Luke chapter 15.
So let's begin.
So, and the 14 there, you know, we learned once again, chapter 14, if you missed it.
We got 1 through 14 in the playlist if you missed those chapters.
But we learned in chapter 14 that on a Sabbath day, Jesus healed somebody, but the Pharisees and the lawyers would look for any little excuse to try to get Jesus on any incriminating day with evidence, or blasphemy, whatever the case, or violating the laws.
And Jesus threw it right back at them and shut them up completely.
And many other things that happened in chapter 14.
There's a lot of stuff in that chapter.
So now it's chapter 15.
So then drew near unto him the publicans and sinners for them to hear him.
So that means the publicans, sinners, all came from everywhere to hear Jesus.
And the Pharisees and scribes murmured So these are the people who are trying, you know, fires and scraps, and we're reminded they're the ones who are trying to get Jesus to say or do something that's going to incriminate him so they can take him out.
They're looking for any reason to do this, right?
So they're murmuring with each other and all that, and they're saying, oh, this man, talking about Jesus, right, received sinners and eaten with them.
He's eaten with sinners and received them.
And Jesus, like, He heard them, what they were saying, He knew what they were up to.
And He spoke this parable unto them, saying, to the, you know, He said, tell them to the Pharisees and Scribes.
Basically, I know what you're saying, but guess what?
He says, a man of you having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, and does not, he leave the nightly land and go into the wilderness and go after that lost sheep until he finds it?
So in other words, if there's a lost sheep, right?
You got a hundred of them, right?
One goes missing.
Are you just gonna be like, you know what?
I got 99 kids about it, right?
You know, you're not gonna do that.
You gotta go look for it.
It's like having kids, right?
You got five kids, one gets lost.
Oh, you know what?
I'm not gonna bother.
Same thing.
You know, you gotta go look for them.
We're all right.
So you're saying in this case, you got a hundred sheep, right?
And one of them gets lost.
So he's asking, does this man leave the 99 sheep and go into the wilderness to go look for this one more sheep?
Until he finds it.
And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders rejoicing.
Like, yeah, I found my sheep, so now I got all my 100 sheep now.
And when he comes there, he's telling the scribes and the Pharisees there, right?
And the scribes.
And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, Rejoice with me!
For I have found my sheep, which one was lost.
So he calls his friends and neighbors, Hey, I found my sheep, thank God!
I'm rejoicing, yeah.
So thank you so much, Lord, that I was able to find my sheep.
Because somebody would have hot like that.
If you would have just went away and said, You know what, there's only one sheep.
Yeah.
That would hit your conscience, you know what I mean?
You're gonna go out and find that shit.
Plain and simple.
So he explains this to the Pharisees and the scribes.
So he's saying likewise, when a hundred people are here, right?
If one of them is a lost person, it's a sinner, right?
of that repentance.
More than over 99 and 99 just one person, just persons and need no repentance.
So he's saying likewise when 100 people are right.
If one of them is a lost person is a sinner right.
Is a lost.
Are you going to go rejoice in heaven or Oh, we got 99, so you know what?
It's only one person who cares.
No.
Uh, you know, that one person, he doesn't need repentance, who cares?
No, you gotta go after everybody.
You know, I always live by a sane tone.
Like, uh, I got it from Sgt.
Slaughter in a G.I.
Joe cartoon years ago when I was a kid.
And, um, I know it's a cartoon, it's a show about Um, his squad went on a mission, right?
It's just a cartoon I understand, but... His squad went on a mission.
And, uh, so... One of the guys got stuck behind.
And they're like, oh, just leave him.
You know, we got a whole troop to worry about.
A whole squad.
You know, he goes, no.
We all go home and nobody goes home.
That's the mentality, yeah.
We need to understand that.
If you just say you...
Go to a motorcycle club, right?
Or any kind of club or anything, you know, your family.
There's 50 of you in the family, right?
One of you, two of you, don't believe, right?
You know what?
At least we got the majority of us.
No, you don't look at it that way.
Going home in this case is going to heaven.
You're gonna have the attitude, we all go home, plain and simple.
We're gonna try to get these guys to go home.
So this is what he's trying to explain to the Pharisees and Scribes.
And he says in verse 8, So this, I love this stuff when he just hits them with parables.
And she loses one piece, does she not light a candle and weep in the house?
And seek diligently until she finds it?
So this, I love this stuff when he just hits a room with parables.
So it makes the point clear and clearer and very solidified.
So you cannot possibly misunderstand what he's saying.
Okay.
I repeat this a lot and I have to, because this is awesome.
So he's saying, if a woman has 10 pieces of silver, right?
And she lost one.
You don't think she's gonna go out and look for that one piece that she dropped?
Of course she is.
It's like you having a thousand dollars in your pocket right now, right?
You dropped a hundred dollar bill somewhere.
I used to go, you know, I got 900, who cares?
No, you're gonna go out and look for a hundred dollar bill.
Or you're going to be sitting in your bed, you're like, oh man, you're not going to get any sleep.
You're like, man, I wonder if I dropped it in the car or in the hallway.
You know, you got to go out and look for it.
This is what he's explaining to them, right?
And when she has found it, right?
And when you have found that $100 bill in this case, right?
When she says she found it, she calls and tells her friends and neighbors together saying, rejoice with me, I have found the piece of silver that I lost.
In your case, right?
You'd be like, so happy that you found that $100 bill.
Now you have the $1,000.
And you gotta say, hey dude, it's like, yeah, never mind man, I found that $100 bill, thank God.
I, you know, went out and looked for it.
It was in my car, on the floor.
I thought I dropped it at your house.
You know, anything like that, you know what I mean?
So you get the point.
And likewise, I say it to you.
There is joy in the presence of the angels of God over the one that sinned to repentance.
Because there's joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repents.
So, Then he said, a certain man had two sons.
So here we go in another parable.
Now this just solidifies what he's trying to say.
If you don't understand what he's saying already, you gotta understand what this next one.
And again, this context is key.
You know, if you just took these verses here, like what he's talking about, he explains it more, then he explains it more again.
Verse 12.
No, verse 11 again.
He says, "...a certain man had two sons, and the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me a portion of the goods that will fall to me." So inherited to me.
That's what he's saying.
Give me a portion of the stuff that's already inherited to me.
"...and he divided unto them his living." So this son is asking for a portion of his inheritance.
And not many days after, the youngest son gathered all together and took his journey into a far country.
And there wasted his substance with roots living.
Righteous living?
In other words, spending abundantly.
You know, just go... In other words, alright guy, I'm gonna put this in modern day terms here.
So, you're this person, you're this young person, right?
Your father said, alright, I got...
$100,000 of my savings to go.
I'm near my end and I'm gonna um and you already told him and listen like I'll just say whatever amount of money that's going to you when I die.
So you come to him saying father dad could I um I know you're gonna give me the money but could I have it now?
Because I want to go to another country, I want to go somewhere, whatever.
And he's like, you know, all right, it's yours anyway, so just take it, right?
So you take that money, right?
And you go to, say, Florida for a Disney World vacation or whatever, right?
You blow that money in the best hotel, cars, the limousine, the whole nine yards, you're splurging left and right.
The best dinners and all that, the fanciest restaurants, right?
Because you got that money, right?
Then all of a sudden, at the end of the trip, you're like, oh no.
I can't believe I just blew through $30,000 or whatever, you know?
And it's real world examples.
And this is what he's trying to explain to the person, right?
So when he had spent all that money, and there arose a mighty famine in that land, and began to be in want.
So now, he's not only spent, he comes back, he's broke.
Then all of a sudden a mighty famine came to the land.
Now he can't go out and buy food, because the food they were growing is dead.
A famine came.
All right, so you figure, all right, we'll take the money and go buy it somewhere else, right?
Nope, you can't do that because you have no money.
Now you're in deep doodle.
Yeah.
So verse 15, and he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and he sent him to his fields to feed the swine.
And he would feign after his belly with the husk and the swine did eat.
And no man gave unto him.
And when he came to himself, he said, How many high servants of my fathers have bread enough to spare?
And I will perish with tongue.
So he goes out and buys all these He's swine and all that.
He's in this country because he's a citizen and all that, right?
So now he's inquired about his father's servants.
Because it looks like this guy is going hungry.
So he says, I will rise and go to my father and I will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and before thee.
So if you catch this, guys.
Did you catch what happened here?
I just caught, I never even put this together before.
I knew, because between us eating swine guys, it's against the scriptures.
And no, Jesus never said it was okay to eat pigs.
The Bible never said it's not okay to eat unclean animals.
Because pigs were never known as food in the first place.
So you catch what just happened, right?
So he went in and sent him into those fields to feed swine, right?
Okay.
And he would have famed to have filled his belly with the husk that the swine did eat.
So he's eating unclean food yet.
I don't know if he's actually eating um... He says that he filled his belly with the husk that the swine did eat.
So I don't know if that's saying the husk, which sounds like, yeah, the swine.
He's eating unclean food, right?
So, Jesus points out, and he says, in here, I arise, go to my Father, and say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and before thee.
How did he sin?
He didn't sin by buying pigs.
He didn't sin by going to another country, right?
Becoming a citizen.
He didn't really sin by blowing his own swan to earn all his money, right?
He sinned by this.
Eating swine.
Or a husk, which is probably another unclean animal.
I don't know if it's a husk or a swine, whatever the case, but yeah, he ate an unclean animal.
And again, it says, I will rise to go to my father's and then tell him my father, hey, I have sinned against heaven and before you.
And I am no more worthy to be called your son.
Make me one as thy hired servants.
So, he lost everything, right?
He lost all his money and all that.
He ate unclean meat.
Well, it's not meat.
It's unclean animals.
Unclean animals are not considered meat.
And now he's like, you know, I sinned against heaven.
I basically squandered against you.
You took your money that you gave me and just blew it like a fool.
I don't even deserve to be called your son.
You know, just make me one of your hired servants.
I'll work for you.
And he arose and came to his father, but when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.
So the father had compassion for his son.
And his son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven.
Again, look, So, why would Jesus be talking about this?
There's a lot of context in here, guys.
Look, He's saying, yeah, you have compassion.
Him is, you know, the Father said, you know, the Father forgives us, guys.
He has compassion for us, right?
But also pointing out too, I gotta take note to this because I do a lot of spiritual warfare shows, but I've never seen this myself.
This guy ate the swine and he said he sinned against heaven.
I know it's just a parable but yeah, he's pointing this stuff out.
Or else he would have never said it.
He says to his father, I have sinned against heaven and in the sight I am no more worthy to be called your son.
But the father said to his servants, bring forth the best robe and put it on him.
And put a ring on his hand and shoes on his feet.
And they bring him the fattest calf, and they kill it, and let us eat and be merry.
So this guy, he acknowledged he sinned against heaven.
Acknowledged that he just squandered all his, you know, just did foolish things and he feels worthless.
And just begging to just be a servant.
Don't be, I don't deserve to be called your son.
So what does the father do?
He has compassion, right?
Because he's humbling himself here, right?
The son is humbling himself.
He didn't come back to say, you know what, it's my father, he's going to give me this.
He didn't come back as entitled.
Because he's his son.
He came back in shame and sorrow.
Like all of us, right?
This is a message that's going on here.
All of us have thought we could go on in life, right?
And do better than God.
Then we all come to repentance.
It's like, you know what?
We can't do this without Jesus.
We come to the Father through Jesus, right?
Then we're ashamed of what we've done.
But what does God do for us?
He says, no, no, no, no, you're not going to be a servant.
You're going to be my son, because you came in humbleness.
You repented and you humbled yourself, like this guy did in the parable, yeah.
And you know what, you're not going to be a servant, but you're going to be You know what?
And he tells his servants to bring forth the best robe.
Put it on him.
Give him a ring.
Here you go.
There's some shoes for your feet.
You know what?
Let's go get the best calf out there.
The fattest cow.
Kill it and let's us eat and be merry about it.
And for this my son was dead and is alive again.
He was lost and found and they began to be merry.
So you see what's going on here guys?
He's still in the Pharisees and all that.
through him that the lost because remember right Let's go back, right?
What's going on here?
Jesus is eating with the Pharisees, I'm sorry, eating with the publican sinners, right?
Which the scribes and Pharisees are like, why would you eat with them?
They're sinners and bad people.
Instead of the scribes and Pharisees trying to help these publicans and sinners, right?
No.
They think they're better than them.
And he goes on with the sheep and all that stuff.
And he goes on to this point.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Forgiveness.
Compassion.
That's what he's saying.
I offer forgiveness and compassion.
That's why I'm sitting here eating with the sinners.
That's why I'm sitting here eating with the publicans.
Now it doesn't mean Jesus is hanging out with them doing sinful stuff.
No.
He's bringing compassion.
Because these people are like, you know, you don't understand Jesus.
I did bad things and all this stuff.
And he goes, no.
Believe in me and those sins are gone.
You can start new.
Look, my son was dead.
Not that he was physically dead.
That's you.
We were especially dead.
All of us, right?
We came alive through him.
Because we were lost and he found us.
See the message that's going on here?
He's portraying us in this very message in the parables.
This is why these parables are important, guys.
And a lot of churches tell you the parables are just... They're...
They're not literal.
They are literal in a sense.
And yeah, Jesus is talking about a fictitious person.
But there's the moral of the story.
That's where it's getting at.
This is why these parables are extremely important to understand.
So you could fully understand and absorb his context.
And I just learned something new today myself.
Because I knew eating the swine is against the scriptures.
Because Jesus, he never told you to eat that, you know.
And there's a reason why, because it's unclean.
But he confirmed it in this today.
So now, alright, so the son's forgiven, right?
And now his eldest son was in the field, and he came and drew night to the house, and he heard music and dancing.
And he called one of his servants and asked what these things meant.
What's going on?
Why is there music and dancing going on at my father's house?
What's happening?
And he said to him, thy brothers come back.
Your brothers come back.
And your father has killed the fattest cow because he has received him safe and sound.
So he's having a feast for your brother.
Your brothers came back.
And your father's having a feast for him in the welcome home party, right?
And he was hungry and would not go in, therefore came to his father outside and threatened him.
So instead of just going in the house and being merry and eating and all that stuff, right?
He waited outside, you know, therefore his father came out.
Then he went up to his father and threatened him.
And he answered and said to his father, Lo, lest many years I do serve thee, and neither transgress I at the time of thy commandment.
And yet thou never gave me a kid, That I might be married with my friends.
I can't even refer to the cat, right?
Like, you've never done this for me, is what you're saying, right?
You never threw me a party.
Had a feast for me and all this, and I've been your servant this whole time.
I've been loyal and all that, and here he goes out and blows all your money.
His share of your inheritance, right?
Blows it all, goes out and does stuff, but yet you welcome him back, and you throw him a party?
How's this fair?
But as soon as thy son was come, and he had devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed him for the fattest cow.
And he said unto him, Son, thou art never with me, and all that I have is thine, yours.
And it was meet that we should make merry, and be glad, for thy brother was dead, and he is alive again, and was lost in his father.
So he explained to his brother, right?
The other brother, yeah.
Your brother was lost.
He made a mistake.
And he told how he lived in Wilhahots and everything else and though has killed him for the fast call.
In other words, he was lost, okay?
He's explaining to the other brother, listen, your brother was lost.
Yeah, you've been loyal this whole time and faithful and all that stuff.
But your brother was lost.
He learned a mighty lesson today.
And he came to true repentance.
He truly humbled himself.
That's worthy of praise.
So I'm guessing your brother understood now.
Alright, alright, okay.
I'm sorry.
You know.
Because here's the thing too, right?
You say you were working for a company, right?
And...
You've been on time every day, right?
On time every day.
Go beyond your work ability, right?
In other words, you're hired there for $40 a week, but you stay extra hours.
You don't even get paid for half the time because you're on a salary, right?
And you put your devotion into it.
Now, you got this guy that works there, right?
He messes off, right?
Then all of a sudden, he's like, you know what?
I'm going to take a leave of absence because I want to.
I'm just going to leave and go do whatever, right?
Then he goes, you know, realizes the grass is not green on the other side, right?
So instead of the boss, he's like, you know what?
This guy's fine.
Get him out of here.
So he comes back and he's like, no.
This guy's like, sorry.
Look, listen, I'm sorry.
I made the biggest mistake of my life.
I did some dumb stuff.
Could you please, please have compassion for me?
I don't want to get fired, right?
And your boss says, you know what?
Yeah.
Guess what?
We're going to put you back in your office again.
You know what?
Since you proved to me how Your faith and all that stuff, right?
And if you're out of my compassion, I'm gonna throw you a party, right?
Now you throw this guy a party, that worker that's been there all the time, right?
Never missed a day or anything.
He's gonna feel like, well, this is unfair.
This is not right.
Then the boss will come over and bring him aside and say, listen, say, I understand your bitterness, but this is what happened.
He went off and you know, blah, blah, blah.
And he showed true mercy.
You know, humbleness and all that.
And the person, you know, is a person of righteousness.
He's like, you know what?
Yeah.
All right, I'm not mad, okay?
I understand why you did this for.
Because it makes a person feel important.
That's why he threw the party for him.
Make him feel important, you know, you no longer lost... You're part of the family, you know what I mean?
You're part of this company.
So I hope you guys get what this is saying.
That's an important thing.
So this is why Jesus talked in this short chapter, 32 verses.
But this is so much context in this.
And this is amazing too.
The context that's pulled out of here.
