- If you're receiving this transmission, you are the resistance.
Declaring war on the New World Order.
truth radio show dot com shalom and welcome everybody to the damper donny show on truth radio show dot com and we are in chapter 14 of the awesome the amazing gospel of Luke so So we're doing an in-depth comprehensive study.
We're not just going to read through this guys.
We're going to study it for what it is.
We're going to get the context out of it.
And that's what we do here.
So if you're looking for something just to read the Bible, you got the wrong page.
Channel here, where we do a comprehensive in-depth study.
So, before we begin, we do a little biblical study approach first.
Number one, before we even start, let's pray for wisdom and understanding.
So, Yeshua Messiah Jesus, we come to you and ask you, please forgive us for our individual sins and trespasses.
And please, ordain us, Lord, with your precious blood to learn your word.
Your word made flesh.
And Heavenly Father, we ask you to install the Holy Spirit upon us, Lord, to be that divine teacher so we can fully understand and comprehend your word today, in this case, the book of Luke chapter 14 today.
And please bless everybody here that's going through any physical or spiritual problems.
And comfort them, Lord.
And we ask you in your mighty name, Amen.
So let's begin, guys.
And also, what we do is we read the scripture in context.
We don't take a couple verses out of context.
We read the whole thing.
That's the paragraph of the chapter.
So we have a full understanding of what a verse means.
Because a lot of ministries, like we like to point out all the time, a lot of ministries will take a single verse, maybe two together, Then they'll string other verses and other chapters in books to make it, you know, fit the dogma, the religious dogma, or the agenda they're trying to push.
We don't do that yet.
We read description in context.
To understand a verse, you need to read the whole context.
And this is why Jesus talked in parables.
After he spoke something, he talked in parables later so you could not possibly misunderstand it.
That's the key, because context is key.
And also, let description interpret scripture.
If you don't understand, just keep reading.
And if you still don't understand, just pray for the Holy Spirit to help you with it.
Plain and simple.
So let's begin.
And if you've got a Bible, guys, like we do all the time, if you don't have a Bible, and if you actually listen to the audio edition on ShakeAwakeRadio.com, please get a Bible.
And if you're not on the video edition yet, we do get it up on screen.
We use the King James, or anything older than the King James, newer Bibles for certain reasons.
Anyway, so let's begin chapter 14.
Once again on the Sabbath here that the Pharisees and all the top chiefs here in the Jewish faith they're trying to do everything possible to get Jesus to do or say something wrong so they can incriminate him.
So and it came to pass as he went in the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat bread on a Sabbath day and they watched him.
So everything Jesus is doing at this point in time everything he's doing he's being watched Like, they're running through a fine-tooth comb just to try to get something on him.
Like, something will blast me or whatever the case, so they can convict him.
Because they know they want him dead at this point.
But they know if they would do something to him, lay a hand on him, all the followers of most of the people would do something to them.
And that's referring to the chief priests and the Pharisees and the elders and scribes and whatnot.
So, yeah.
So they're trying to incriminate him on something, some bogus charge.
That's what they're trying to do.
So, and again, and he went to the chief Pharisee's house to eat bread on a Sabbath day, and they watched him.
And behold, there was a certain man before him which had dropsy.
I don't know what that is.
I mean, actually, let's take a look what that is, because we like to do the study, so let's study what that is.
I just hate not knowing what something means.
I mean, I assume it's like cerebral palsy or something like that.
So drop C is an old term for swelling of soft tissue due to accumulation of excess water.
Man, it was generally swelling and synonymous with heart failure.
Thank you.
So, and I guess it retained water.
So in other words, a swelling that would cause massive heart failure.
So this is something serious.
That's an old medical term for that, so... And again, a certain man was before Jesus, which had dropsies.
And Jesus answered and spake unto the lawyers and the Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath day?
Ask him.
He's asking the lawyers and the Pharisees, is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath day?
He knows, you know, Jesus knows what's going on.
He's just asking them.
Because he knows the lawyers and the pharisees are standing there watching him.
Looking for every little thing he's doing.
To try to criminate him.
So he goes, hey!
And he got this man with this serious disease or whatever it is, right?
This condition.
Medical condition.
So he's asking them, is it lawful to help people on the Sabbath day?
And they held their peace.
They didn't say nothing.
And they took him and healed him and let him go.
"...and answered them, saying, Which of you..." And he looked, this is Jesus, after he healed the guy and let him go, right?
"...he looked at them," the lawyers and the Pharisees, "...and said, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fall into a pit, and will not straightway pull him out on the sabbath day?" In other words, when you get cattle, that's what they are.
An ass is a donkey or whatever, right?
In other words, in your farm, right?
If you got one of the animals that fell into a pit, are you going to not pull him out because it's Sabbath day?
You're not going to help him?
That's what he's asking.
Which of you have animals, and if they fall down into a pit, you're not going to pull them out because it's Sabbath?
And again, they couldn't answer.
They had no answer for these things.
So, and he put forth a parable to those who were bidding.
And when he mocked how they chose, out of the chief's room, saying that to them.
So, not only does Jesus talk about this, right?
Helped this guy with the dropsy.
This disease, right?
Healed him.
And now, because he knows what the Pharisees are up to.
That's why he's looking at them, talking to them, asking questions.
He knows what the lawyers and Pharisees are up to.
They're trying to incriminate him.
So now, not only just explains it more, now he goes into detail with the parables.
And this is one of the things, like, again, churches don't tell you, oh, he did this, right?
But they don't go into the parables.
Because it explains the detail.
Because if you just read these, you could probably have a couple people have different interpretations of that, right?
But when you go into the parables, It becomes clear as day.
And this is what a lot of organized religions don't like.
They don't want you to know what it means because they... Because the thing is, if they knew you could know what these mean, they could put anything to this context to fulfill their religious dogma and take it way out of context.
That's why in here we actually read what the context has to say.
So you can see without a measure of doubt what is going on.
And you don't have to interpret it because it's clear as day.
And plus the Holy Spirit's with us right now, and the Holy Spirit's gonna tell us the truth.
So, in Jesus' parable, he goes, When thou art bidding of any man to a wedding, sit not down in the highest room, least more honorable man than the bidding of him.
And he that bade thee and him come to thee, saying, Give this man place, and thou begin to shame to take the lowest room?
He says, if you're bidding of a man to a wedding, right?
So I'm assuming it's probably part of the wedding party, right?
You sit in the highest room.
And today you sit at the head table, you know, at the wedding, right?
So you're not going to sit down at that room, that table.
In this case, highest room.
And this more honorable man than the bidding of him.
So, but thou art bidding, go and sit down in the lowest room, that when he bids thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher.
Then shall you have worship in the presence of them, and sit and meet with them.
Sit at meet, which is sit for dinner.
So you go sit in the lowest room, and you know, the regular table, and the wedding party goes, hey, part of the wedding party come up.
And I think this is what that means.
So, correct me if I'm wrong in the chat room, guys.
And not the chat room, but the comment section.
But basically, be humble, you know?
For whoever exalts himself shall be abased, and that humbles himself shall be exalted.
So basically, this is what it's saying, all right?
Because you read on, it explains it.
So if you don't know what it means, just be patient.
Like, I'm learning as I go too.
So after, you know, the first couple of verses here, I'm like, alright, what does this mean?
Now it makes it clear when you read on, right?
Then I'll go into another parable to explain it even better.
See how it works?
It's amazing how Jesus did this.
So if you listen to Jesus, you're not going to be misled.
You're not going to leave misunderstood.
So we can begin to question, like, what does that mean?
What does it mean?
But, the scripture interprets itself, as you can see.
So, the people expect to sit at the high table, in the high room, whatever the case, right?
And the people, the humble people, that just sit at the low tables, the low rooms, they're gonna be exalted.
And the ones who are all Mr. Macho, whatever, they're gonna be abased.
And he that is humble himself shall be exalted.
And then he said unto them that bade him, When you make us a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brother, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbors, lest he also bid thee again, and recompense be made thee.
But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, and the lame in blind.
So he's saying when you make a feast, right?
Don't just wait all, you know, The rich people in your neighborhood, the VIPs like us, politicians, whatever the case, you know, family members, exclusive people, right?
Because when you make a feast, call the poor here, the maimed and lame, the blind, people need it.
Make a feast for them.
and thou shalt be blessed, for they cannot recompense thee.
For thou shalt recompense at the resurrection of the just.
So let me see what recompense means.
So, So it's always good to understand the meaning of a word.
It's to make amends to someone for a loss or harmful suffered competency.
Compensate or reward given for the loss of harm, suffering, and effort made.
Substantial damages were paid in recompense.
So that's what the word recompense means.
And it's always good, this is why you need to take your time and study.
Because if you shrink back, yeah, I don't know what that means, I'm going to keep reading.
I didn't know what it meant, you know.
So, it's good to look up the definition of the word.
Because it makes a whole different, big difference when you understand it.
Then you can absorb the full context of the Scripture here.
So yeah, make a feast, call the poor, and the lame, and that's what he's telling them.
Don't sit there and, oh, you know, he's talking to the, again, the Pharisees and the lawyers, right?
And he's telling them, it's like, you know, don't sit there and rub elbows with the big people.
Just white family and some, you know, important friends and, you know, the politician next door or something, whatever the case.
No, make a feast with the poor.
And you shall be blessed, for they cannot recompense thee.
For that shall be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.
So you'll get your reward at the resurrection.
And when one of them that sat down at me, which is sat down for dinner, or lunch, whatever it is, to eat basically, with him heard these things and said unto him, Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.
Then he said unto them, A certain man made a great supper, And, uh, bade many.
So, bade, which means, uh, now we understand, and it's called many, invited many, right?
So a certain man made a huge supper, big, big dinner, right?
Supper, whatever, and called many.
And he sent a servant at suppertime to say to them that were bidding, come, for all these things are now ready.
So dinner's ready, basically.
And they all, with one consent, begin to make excuse.
The first said, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must need to go see it, and I pray thee have my excuse.
I pray that I may be excused.
So basically saying people are going to make excuses.
And so another says, I paid and have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them, and I pray that I may be excused.
And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.
So a certain man made this great supper, right, and invited many, bade many, right?
And a servant went around to tell these people, you know, you're invited to this dinner, this great supper, and one excuse after another that they wouldn't come.
So, Jesus goes on to say, So, you got the servant, and I like how Jesus just continues the parables.
Because, again, it explains when you think, you know, I can't understand what he's saying.
to the servant, go out quickly into the streets of the lanes of the city and bring hither the poor and the maimed and the whole and the blind.
So you got the servant, and I like how Jesus just continues the parables because, again, it explains when you dig, you know, I can't understand what he's saying.
The second parable is going to make it sound.
So this man made this great supper.
He had his servants go out and invite his friends.
Well, you know, this guy's friends and whatever, right?
And everybody had an excuse they couldn't come.
You know, here's the thing, right?
When we have parties, like for my son or something like that, I send an invitation out to all the friends and family, right?
And one excuse after another.
Especially on the last day.
Oh, I can't make it.
I'm sorry.
You know, we all go through that, right?
But this guy did this, right?
This great supper.
And everybody had an excuse they couldn't come.
So he was so, you know, really ticked off.
So, because the server came and said, hey, you know, he showed him all these things.
Hey, listen, I went to this one, this one couldn't come because of this and that.
They made excuses, right?
Then the master of the house, being angry, said to the server, go out quickly into the streets then.
The lanes of the city and go invite the poor here.
Go look for anybody.
The poor, the mean, in the hall, in the blind.
Go look for them.
So say, come to dinner, right?
Because you had this great supper, it's going to go to waste.
And the servant said, Lord, it is done, and hast commanded.
I've done what you asked me to do, basically.
And yet there is a room.
And the Lord said unto the servant, Go into the highways and the hedges, and compel them to come, and my house may be filled.
So this guy just wanted his house filled, right?
And for I say unto you, that none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper.
So this is Jesus saying, if any man comes to me, right?
he said unto them, if any man comes to me and hate not his father and his mother and his wife and children and brethren and sister and yea and his own wife also, he cannot be my disciple.
So this is Jesus saying, if any man comes to me, right?
And don't take this out of context.
It says that if any man comes to me and hates and doesn't hate his father or his mother and wife and children and brethren and sisters and his own wife, right?
He cannot be my disciple.
So is Jesus telling you to hate your parents?
Because you've got to understand, this is old English, right?
This is old ways of talking.
Like back then when they called women, you know, Jesus called Mary woman.
Today it's like a disrespecting.
I don't know why.
But back then it was a respecting.
So you understand, things meant different ways back then.
So he's not literally telling you to hate your parents.
All he's saying is literally, you need to love me above anybody.
That's what he's saying.
And we need to put Jesus ahead of our marriage, ahead of our children, ahead of everything.
And everything else falls into place.
Jesus needs to be the umbrella of your relationship.
Jesus, God, and Holy Spirit needs to be the umbrella of your whole life, everything you do.
Then, yes, next comes your wife and family, absolutely.
Then everything else goes on, trickles underneath it, you know?
So the center or the construct of your whole life needs to be Jesus Christ.
That's what he's saying.
He's not saying, literally, go hate your mother and father, because that would be a fifth commandment violation.
Because he says, I'm your father and mother, right?
He's not telling you to do that.
He's not telling you to go disown your father and mother.
He's saying, in other words, he even says, your own life, right?
In other words, you've got to love him more than your own life.
You've got to love him more than your father, more than your mother, more than your children, more than your wife, and your brothers and sisters.
And your own life.
So if you can do that, you can be his disciple.
Just because people say, well, why is Jesus telling you?
No, he's not saying that.
Things meant a little bit different back then, the way they talked.
Remember, this is 2,000 years ago.
So anyway, and whoever does not bear his cross and come after me cannot be my disciple.
Bear his cross, what's that mean?
Emmanuel, Emmanuel, right?
This is before the crucifixion.
This is amazing.
So Jesus is telling people to bear his cross.
This is before the crucifixion, before they captured him, before he was sentenced.
Nobody knew he was going to be crucified.
Where is he talking about bearing his cross?
This is like, this is awesome.
I actually, this is the first time I discovered this.
But we did know that Jesus knew he was going to be put to death from day one, Peter on the earth.
That was the point of him coming.
That's why he told the apostles, listen, because the apostles were trying to stop that from happening.
They go, no, don't do that.
Get behind me, Satan.
That's what he told Peter.
Because Peter told him, well, you know, just go away and they won't find him.
And he goes, get behind me, Satan.
Not that he was calling Peter Satan, but You know, Satan was putting that in his head because his purpose come on the earth was for the crucifixion.
Well, check this out again.
This is before he was crucified, right?
Long before he was even convicted.
Nobody knew what his death was going to be.
Nereid is saying, whoever does not bear his cross... What's that mean, bear his cross?
To be sacrificed, your old self.
To die and run across with him and be resurrected into life, born again.
That's where that comes from, right?
So it doesn't mean we're gonna go kill ourselves, we're not saying that at all.
You know, it means you gotta put your old self to death and be born again in Jesus, in the blood of Jesus Christ.
And come after me, and if you don't do this, you can't be his disciple.
That's why it's called born-again Christians.
That's where this comes from.
So, and it's amazing, again, he's talking about Barren Crosses, and nobody knew about anything about how he was gonna die, or when he was gonna die at the time, when he was saying this, right?
Amazing stuff, it really is.
So this is verse 28, by the way, if you listen to the audio edition.
the tower, sitting down first and counting the cost, whether you have sufficient to finish it.
So this is verse 28, by the way, if you listen to the audio edition.
So Jesus is asking them, which of you intended to build the tower?
Instead of sitting down first and counting the cost of how much it's going to cost to build, With the materials you need.
You know all that stuff, right?
To finish this.
In other words.
If you want to build a tower, right?
Say what?
A hundred foot tower.
You could say you want to oversee something with it, right?
So before you even begin to build it, right?
You got to sit down.
How much money do I got?
How much is this going to cost?
How many layers of wood and whatever you have to use, right?
You don't just stop building it.
So he's asking.
Which of you who intend to build a tower.
Do this.
Without sitting down and understanding, you know, getting the plans together, do it, and how much it's going to cost, which of you is doing this, right?
And he says, least happily, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it.
And behold, it began to mock him.
So, so basically he says, like, uh, the people who intend to build a tower, right?
They have no, you know, without figuring out how much it's going to cost, what the, you know, what's going to be needed, sufficient materials to finish it, right?
Like, in other words, a person will create the foundation for it.
Lay the, you know, dig the hole, lay the mortar down, or whatever, you know, the cement.
Hold, you know, the tower, you know?
Daniel said, oh man, I don't have money to do this.
So now you just put a foundation there for nothing, you know?
Don't worry guys, if I'm confusing you, please just be patient, hang tight, because this explains what it's talking about.
This is why Jesus talked in parables, it's like layman's terms.
So you can understand what he's talking about.
He makes a statement, then he uses a couple of parables, two or three, whatever, so he can vividly understand what he's talking about.
So, after Jesus talked about this, and behold, it began to mock him.
Saying that this man began to build and was not able to finish.
Yeah, I'm going to build this building, but yeah.
I built the first floor, but I can't finish the rest because I don't have no more money in material.
So people are going to mock you.
Why did you do it in the first place if you didn't have the money to finish it, or the material?
Or what king going to make war against another king?
What king is going to make war against another king?
Sitting that down first and consulting whether he'd be able to have tens of thousands to meet with them to come against with the 20,000.
So in other words, you got to, this is what you're saying, right?
A king with 10,000 soldiers, right?
He's not just going to say, oh, go attack the other kingdom.
We're going to go to war with the other king.
The other king's got 20,000 troops.
So we're not going to, yeah.
What king's going to do that?
Just launch a full-on attack on the kingdom next door that has twice as much troops.
Yeah, that's kind of suicide, isn't it?
It's foolish.
That's what he's saying.
What king would do that?
What kind of person would do that?
Just do something without understanding how to do it, right?
It could be anything.
In Deuteronomy verse 32, So when you're saying like, what king's purpose is going to make war with another king?
You know, if you're a king, right?
that's an ambassador that desired conditions of peace.
So we're saying like, what king's gonna, purpose is gonna make war with another king?
You know, you're a king, right?
And you're not gonna go battle another king that has You only have 10,000.
He has 20,000, right?
You're not going to go, alright, I'm going to go pick a fight with these people.
No.
What you're going to do is you're going to try to make peace with them, right?
That's what he's saying.
So no king in the right mind is saying he's going to make war that has only 10,000 troops.
He's going to make war purposely with a king that has 20,000 troops.
The first step would be, all right, we got differences, all right.
What we could do is, um... Get, you know, go set up a peace tree.
Try to talk to him, doing peace, you know?
Send an ambassador in desired conditions of peace.
So, you guys got differences and all that, yeah, all right.
Send an ambassador.
All right, what could he do to make peace?
You know?
So, likewise, whoever he be of you that forsake not all, that has, he cannot be my disciple.
So if you can't forsake everything you have, you can't be a disciple.
Like we learned when a rich guy approached him.
This guy had a lot of money, right?
I think he was a lawyer too.
And he asked him, how could I follow you?
And he told him, go sell everything you have, give it to the poor, then you can follow me.
And the guy had so much, you know, riches and everything else, he didn't want to do that.
So likewise, whoever he be that forsake you, not all that he has, he cannot be in the right circle.
So if you're not willing to forsake everything you have, to follow Jesus.
Because it was going to be witnesses applying to you guys.
Because yeah, we all need the houses and the cars and whatever, right?
Some people want, you know, even more.
The best house, the best cars, that's what we're talking about, right?
But the thing is, it's going to come a time, right?
Especially in the end days here.
That, yeah, you gotta be literally ripped out of your house.
Everything you worked for, everything you have, could be gone in the blink of an eye.
Because when these stormtroopers come to your house one day, right?
You don't worship the beast, you don't take his mark, guess what?
We're ripping you and your family out, we're gonna kill every one of you.
That's what's gonna happen.
Everything you work for your entire life, your whole family and everything could be gone instantly.
If you're not willing to give all that up for Jesus Christ, you cannot be his disciple.
And then people say, well, you know what?
Maybe if I make the sacrifice, take the mark, I can feed my family, keep them alive and keep my house and dog and car and everything else.
No!
And if I do this, he'll forgive me for doing it because of a good cause.
No, he's not going to forgive me for that.
There's two impenetrable sins.
Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit and also taking the mark of the beast.
You know, it's not just the mark of the beast.
It's just insane, you know.
Basically, yes, the Lord blesses you with a place to live.
The Lord blesses you with a wonderful family and a vehicle to get around, right?
But if you're not willing to give all that up for Jesus, what good are you?
You're not going to be his disciple.
And it's not saying go out and sell all this stuff and move in the streets.
No, it's not saying that.
In other words, when the time comes, if it comes, to you, are you willing to give all that up for Jesus?
Because remember, He gave everything for us.
Everything.
Our Heavenly Father and God in the flesh, Holy Spirit, came to this earth, inseminated Himself into a wonderful woman, Born on the earth in the flesh, right?
To experience what, you know, what we go through.
For the whole soul purpose to die for us.
He gave everything.
And not anybody, none of us could say that.
Could say that.
If we were God, would you become part of your own creation?
And let your own creation spit on you?
Hit you, attack you, crucify you, mock you?
I think we all lose our temper and end up striking them down.
But he didn't do that.
He humbled himself, stayed pure and clean.
All the smut and all the garbage in the world.
The sexual temptations, all that.
He resisted every bit of that.
Not one of us could say we could do that.
I certainly can't.
I certainly would not be able to resist all the temptations of the world.
I've sinned and I'm ashamed of it.
But this is how great this man is.
You know, the Son of Man, the Son of God.
He gave everything for us, guys.
So if you're not willing to give your life, everything you have for Jesus, when it comes that time, Then, you know, just turn this broadcast off.
Because there's no point of you even looking at this.
Because you can't be halfway.
You can have one foot in the neighbor's yard and one foot in your yard and climb both.
It's either one or the other.
Be a tenant of your neighbor or be a master of your own land.
And in this case, yeah, one foot on the side of Jesus and the other foot on the side of Satan.
There's no middle ground.
You can't do that.
It's either one or the other, that's it.
Doesn't work that way with this.
You can't have one foot on each.
Because if you have one foot on the other one, you're on Satan's side, you're fully on Satan's side.
Whether you know it or not.
So basically what it's saying is like, you need to be willing to give up everything for Jesus.
If that happens, if it comes to you guys, such as Democrabeast, because we're in the end times now, or a persecution comes, like in some people live in different countries, where Islamic people come and literally tell you, hey, it's not just Islamic, it's other religions too, they'll tell you.
If you don't know, they'll come right to your house.
Or you're on vacation or something and they'll capture you and your family and tell you, if you don't denounce Jesus Christ right now, we're gonna do unspeakable things to your daughter.
We're gonna diss that and the other thing, right?
Horrible stuff.
But if you're willing to say, alright, you know what?
I'll do it just to save my family.
You're doing them no good and you're doing yourself no good.
In regards to what happens to them if you say no, you and your family will be blessed for that.
I know it's horrible that he would say something like that, but this is the reality, guys.
It could be any situation where you're going to come one day, that you're going to have to make a choice, and it's going to be a very vital choice in life and death, probably.
And if that choice is to forsake Jesus, for that life, you know what?
I'd rather be killed on the spot.
I'd rather have me and my family killed on the spot, than live an eternal life through Jesus Christ.
Dan said, alright, alright, I'm just going to do it and prologue it and live a few more years, yeah?
So I'll live a few more years before Jesus comes back.
But when he comes back, guess what?
He's going to look at you and you're going to be perishing with the other people that did that stuff to you.
Or threatened you to do that.
No matter how good you think you are.
Because he says, if you deny me before a man, the last chapter we've seen that, right?
Chapter 13?
He goes, if you deny me before a man, I will deny you before the Father.
So, I'm just saying this is how serious this is.
If you cannot forsake everything, guys, you can't be his disciple.
And he says salt is good, right?
But if the salt loses its flavor, the Savior, right?
Wherewith shall it be seasoned?
So, you know, they always make you salt some steaks or, you know, whatever, right?
If the salt loses its flavor, what good is it?
There's no purpose for salt if it loses its flavor, right, Savior?
That's saying you.
It's not when you talk about literary food.
It's just saying you.
Because we're supposed to be what?
The light and salt of the earth.
Not lukewarm.
Remember when he talks about that?
He says if you're lukewarm.
He talked about his believers.
He is a believer.
If you're lukewarm, right?
Your salt's lost to your Savior.
The flavor and everything, right?
Your light has dimmed away.
What good are you?
He says he's gonna chew you up and spit you out because you look warm.
There's no point for you.
And there's a lot of people who go to church all the time, right?
They'll study the Bible.
But they'll just sit in their house and do nothing.
They'll just hang out with a bunch of believers.
That's all they do.
They don't do nothing at all to try to witness to people.
They don't do nothing at all to even write something up on social media or a Bible verse or something.
They don't do nothing.
Oh, I don't want to get involved.
You know, I'm afraid of confrontations.
God doesn't like cowards.
There's a lot of people out there that know the scripture like the back of their hand.
But they don't apply it.
I got a cousin out there that knows the scripture like the back of his hand.
But he doesn't apply it to anything.
You know, I'm not judging the man.
You know, I love him to death, but... You know, this is what I'm talking about.
If you have the soul... Jesus gives you that soul.
He gives you that life.
You're not, you know... Being the, you know, full saver.
He's got you up in spirit.
If you're going and they never knew you, what good is it?
In other words, if you join the military, right?
You want to be a military police officer, right?
So when the fight breaks out in the base or whatever, your patrol, right?
And you don't go do nothing about it, what good are you?
What was the point of training you?
What was the point of going through all that schooling so you could sit there and be a coward and do nothing about it?
What did your jobs do to something about it?
Disciples of God.
And I'm not, you know, putting myself as a disciple, tell you.
I wouldn't even do that.
but we as followers of Jesus Christ, right?
What good is going through all this training?
What good is giving our heart and soul to Jesus if we're not going to do nothing?
So, Same thing as a cop.
You know what I mean?
Like, same terminology.
This is why Jesus talked in parables.
What good is going through a fire academy, right?
You join the fire department, right?
You go through the academy, that rigorous training.
Weight training up and down the ladders and all that stuff.
Carrying heavy stuff up in the stairs during the training and all that.
Then the fire breaks out.
Your first day on the job, right?
Fire breaks out.
You jump in the truck, put your all you got on, you get to that fire.
Yeah, there's people up on the third floor that need saving.
And what do you do?
You run and just go sit in the truck.
What good are you?
Know what would happen to you?
You'll be fired on the spot.
Probably, possibly charged with pressing against you.
Who knows?
Same thing applies here.
Oh, you're a cop, right?
And you're... And somebody's, like, getting robbed, right?
In the house, somebody's house gets broken into.
And they got the whole family at gunpoint.
You go to, you're the first one on the scene.
Instead of going to try to help these people, even with a partner, right?
What do you do?
You just sit in your car.
Do nothing.
Then all of a sudden the family gets killed or something.
You could be charged.
Because that's your job.
And now all that, I'm understanding this, right?
Our job is to preach the Word of God.
And it doesn't mean that some people are good at doing it in the streets.
Some people are good like we're doing here online.
Some people, you've got to find your calling.
There's always a way to help people.
Preach the Word of God and live by example.
So that's a big thing.
Because if we're not doing that, guys, what good are we?
We're no good to Jesus, we're no good to ourselves.
We're certainly no good for the lost.
So again, salt is good, but if it's lost its flavor, where shall it be seasoned then?
What good are you?
In 35, last verse here.
It is neither fit for the land, nor the dunghill.
You know what a dunghill is?
It's a hill full of crap.
Like animal poop.
Fertilizer.
So neither fit for the land or the dunghill.
But men cast it out and that has ears to hear and let them hear.
Hear that has ears to hear and let them hear.
So he's saying if you have ears to hear this, hear it.
Absorb it, what he's talking about.
So if you're not fit for the land, right?
And you're certainly not going to be fit for that hill that's full of dung.
Especially if you live near a flamingo.
You see the hill or something.
Or a pile.
Big pile of crap.
Right?
Literally.
From the wasps and all that.
What they'll do is a dung.
Back then they called it dung.
Today we call it the S word.
You know.
And crap and whatever.
But the dung hill is fertilizer.
And what they do is actually sell it.
You know.
That's why they store it up on the hill.
Or a pile.
They mix it with hay to sell it for fertilizer, whatever the case.
But yeah, if you're not fit for the land, you're not going to be fit for the dunghill either.
But men cast it out.
And he that hears it, hears what I'm hearing.
So I hope you guys got what this is trying to say.
This is why Jesus talked in parables.
He explained something, then gave one, two, maybe three parables after that.
So you cannot possibly misunderstand him.
So see the importance of context guys?
I have to go over this over and over again.
Context is key.
Because if you read a couple of verses, you're not going to understand what he's talking about.
The first parable, I kind of understand.
Second parable, yes, I understand now completely.
Third parable, no, this is solidified.
And unfortunately a lot of churches do that, guys.
It's horrible what they do.
They'll skip out the parables.
They'll say, this is what Jesus said, right?
Or whatever.
Then they'll go to another chapter of another book.
String it together, which has nothing to do with it.
They take those verses out of context.
String a bunch of verses together to make it sound like what they want you to think it is.
To push their religious dogma.
That's why I condemn religions, guys.
I follow Jesus Christ.
I don't need a religion.
I don't need a Pope or a 700 Club or anything like that.
And I know people out there, well I got a degree in theology and this and that.
Whoop-dee-doo.
Good for you.
God bless you.
I don't need any of that.
I don't have to go to a seminary school.
Don't have to go to a college or a church or a university or anything like that.
My teachings come from the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is better than any professor out there combined.
Any priest or pastor out there combined.
Better than any teacher out there combined.
Better than me, better than you, better than us all combined.
If the Holy Spirit is not rightness upon your heart, your degrees mean nothing.
Your degrees are just like this.
Check this out, right?
Your degrees are this.
The dung hill.
That's where you get your degrees on the wall from the universities and all that.
If you don't have the Word of God written on your heart by the Holy Spirit, you can take those degrees and diplomas and all that, throw it into a pile of dung because it's all it is.
It means nothing to the Lord.
Yeah, sure, you're spending your hard-earned money.
Time and dedication toward that, yeah.
But I don't have any of those, and I don't even tend to, I don't even care to get any of those things.
Because nobody can teach you better than the Holy Spirit.
Charles Spurgeon even, like, he went onto big rants about that.
Because his peers back then, especially, they were very well educated, went to the best universities, these pastors and all that, and he didn't do that.
And he stated things about that.
It has to come from the Holy Spirit.
I don't really admire too many people like that.
Well, Charles Spurgeon, that's one thing I admire him about.
And you know, the thing is, I don't want to waste my time reading half books of people like that.
What I'll do is read from what Jesus did.
All you have to do.
So don't even worry about the early church fathers.
Yeah, it's good to know maybe, but if you know what Jesus did and the apostles did, what more do you want to know?
I mean, sure, yeah, if you want to learn what the early church fathers did and all that, yeah.
But it doesn't matter.
No.
As long as you know what Jesus did and wants us to do, that's all that matters.
You don't have to go any further than that.
It doesn't matter what the early church fathers did.
It doesn't matter what this century churches did.
It doesn't matter.
It only matters what Jesus did.
It only matters what Jesus wants us to do.
From his, directly from his mouth.
So you don't have to be a theologian to study all these people.
Through history to know what the Bible is.
It's not a bad thing to do either.
I'm not condemning it.
But if you want to know what Jesus wants us to do, read it from his own mouth.
Why read it from anybody else?
Him and the apostles.
That's it.
So guys, thank you for joining us for chapter 14.
We'll see you for chapter 15.
