Truth Radio Show dot com.
And welcome to the Dan Bedani Show on Truth Radio Show dot com.
So welcome to this in-depth, comprehensive study of the book of Luke.
Today we're on chapter 5.
So we do chapter by chapter.
We don't just read through the Bible, guys.
We examine the Bible.
We examine everything it has to offer.
And we do chapter by chapter.
If you missed chapters 1 through 4, it's in our playlist.
We've also completed the book of Matthew earmarked as well by each chapter.
So they're all in our playlist, guys.
And so guys, what we do before we begin, we do a Bible study approach.
Number one, we pray for wisdom and understanding.
So let's do that right now.
So bow your heads.
And Yeshua, Jesus, we come to you and we pray for your forgiveness of our sins and our trespasses that we've done individually.
We ask you for your forgiveness, Lord, and make us pure before the Father.
And Father, we ask you to teach us, through the Holy Spirit, your divine word.
And today, the book of Mark, chapter 5, to bring out all the mysteries, all the context, and all the message that you want us to learn today, with your holy name.
We pray, amen.
And now that's done, guys, what we do is also is read the Scripture in its context.
Like I said, we don't just read through it.
We read through the whole chapter, but we examine it.
So we read the Bible in its context.
So context is key.
So let the Scripture interpret the Scripture.
Lean not on our own understanding, but let the Holy Spirit Help us interpret the scripture as well.
And when you least think, you're like, alright, I don't know what this means, keep reading and the Bible explains itself.
And through the interpretation, I'm sorry, through the power of the Holy Spirit helping you interpret this, that's how you learn the Bible, and it's written upon your heart.
So, you know, taking it from an academic level, anybody can read the Bible and memorize verses, but not anybody can absorb it into the heart the way it's supposed to be, like the Holy Spirit does for you.
And we like to point that out a lot.
So let's begin with our studies here, guys.
And if you've got a Bible, guys, turn to Luke chapter 5, please.
And if you're watching the video edition, we've got the King James Bible up here on screen, the Red Letter edition.
So yeah, you can watch it on here.
And if you're listening on audio edition, such as ShakeandWakeRadio.com, one of the providers for our show, the carriers for our show, opening up your own Bible, we always suggest the King James, the Geneva, or something older.
Anyway, guys, let's begin with this.
It's an awesome chapter here.
So, it came to pass that the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God.
He stood by the lake of Gethsemane.
Now, we talk about Jesus, right?
The people, they want to hear the word of God.
They were so excited, you know, because Jesus just baffled everybody in a good way.
Astonished everybody, I should say, in a good way.
So, they're pressing on Jesus, tell us more, tell us more.
And saw two ships standing by the lake.
But the fishermen were going out of them and were washing their nets.
And he entered, you know, talk about Jesus here, entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, which is Peter.
Simon's Peter.
Simon's ship and prayed that he would dust out a little from the land, and he sat down and taught the people out of the ship.
So basically the ships, like back then, if there was no docks, they would really pull the ship up into the sand to really make sure it's firm without floating away.
So they pushed the ships out a little bit this way, and he stood on the ship.
So all the multitudes of people, remember he got like thousands of people standing around.
So he needs to get up high and like kind of centered or in the middle in front there to reach out, his voice to reach out.
Plus you got the wind coming off the shore.
So the wind is carrying his voice throughout the crowd.
So now when he had left speaking, he said it to Simon.
Launch it out into the deep and let your nets for a draw.
So after you got done speaking, because my assignment and all that, we're fishermen.
So, hey, alright guys, we're done speaking.
Launch the ships out.
Both ships, there's two ships there.
Let's launch them out and let's go fishing.
And Simon answered him, saying, Master, we have toiled all night and have taken nothing.
Nevertheless, at the word, I will let you down.
I'm sorry.
Nevertheless, at your word, thy word, I will let down the net.
So in other words, you're saying, yeah, we have toiled all night.
We tried to fish all night.
We couldn't get nothing.
There's nothing out there.
Nevertheless, though, I'll obey you.
And we'll go out there and we'll cast out the net, regardless, right?
And when they had done this, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes and the nets broke.
So they, you know, Simon and the other ship as well, they took the two ships out, threw the nets out, thinking, alright, we've been here all night, there's nothing out there.
So we're just gonna do this anyway, right?
And cast out the nets, they cast the nets out, and behold, right away the nets were full.
So full that they were breaking.
And they beckoned unto their partners, which was the other ship, which it says right here, the other ship, that they should come and help them.
And they came and filled both ships so they began to sink.
So in other words, the nets were beginning to break, and they told the other guys in the other ship, hey, listen, we need help.
So they came over with their nets and their ship, and they filled not only one boat, but both boats.
So much as they were ready to sink.
Not that they were sinking, but began to sink.
In other words, they were loaded.
Which anybody who's ever been on a fishing boat, like a deep-sea fishing boat and all that, I've got a friend of mine that does that.
Yeah, to cast out nets and baskets and everything else and traps, to have them plenty full like that, yeah, that's like a goldmine for fishing.
That's a good day, plain and simple.
So this was like Simon and the other fishermen, that's where they made their living. - The boats were chock full of fish, and they were wild.
They were ecstatic.
And I would be too.
So when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees saying, Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord.
In other words, Simon, because he doubted.
He doubted.
It's like, all right, dude, we were out here all night.
We didn't get nothing.
Told Jesus that, right?
And yeah, we're going to go up there anyway because you told us so.
Thinking that there's probably going to be nothing, right?
And they keep forgetting, you know, who they're with, you know what I mean?
And keep forgetting that, you know, over and over again, you can see this, you know, they doubt themselves in God, Jesus, yeah?
And every time they feel foolish afterwards, because they keep forgetting who they're with, the Savior.
So Simon Peter, you know, just drops to his knees, saying, Jesus, not saying, leave me alone.
In other words, like, I'm not worthy to be next to you.
You proved me wrong again, and I'm just a sinful man.
Like humbled, humbled.
That's what he's at.
You know what I mean?
And for he was astonished.
And all that were with him at the drought of the fish they had taken.
So, Peter, everybody on both boats were just, their joys were dropped.
Astonished like what?
You know, all night we couldn't get nothing.
We just felt we got more fish than we probably ever got in our lives.
They were just astonished.
In other words, you're a fisher of fish, right?
I'm going to make you a fisher of men.
In other words, souls.
And Jesus said unto Simon, fear not, from henceforth thou shalt catch men.
In other words, you're a fisher of fish, right?
I'm going to make you a fisher of men.
In other words, souls.
We're going to go out and witness the people and win people for me.
Verse 11, and they that had brought the ships to the land, they forsook all and followed him.
So they brought the ships to the land, just, just dropped everything and went with Jesus.
Imagine that, you got two ships full of fish and everything, you just scored the biggest score of your life, right?
And they just dropped everything, just left it all there, see you later.
And it came to pass, cause I don't know if this actually means they just, uh, forsook, they just left it all, uh, Like permanently, or just they just left the ships there, whatever the case.
But anyway, they just follow Jesus.
Because Jesus says, alright, we're done fishing for fish now.
Let's go fish for men, for men's souls.
So it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy, who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thy will, thou can make me clean, So, leprosy is a skin disease that's very nasty.
So, this guy seen Jesus, dropped to his knees, fell on his face and says, Lord, please help me be clean.
And he put forth his hand and touched him saying, I be thou clean.
I will be thou clean.
And immediately the leprosy departed from him.
Could you imagine what a relief that would be?
You know what I mean?
What a relief that would be!
You got leprosy and god knows how long this man had this leprosy.
It's irritable.
I've never had it but I've heard horror stories, right?
And just instantly, it's gone.
I couldn't even imagine just having poison ivy.
I actually, I don't even know what to compare leprosy with.
But just imagine having bad poison ivy or shumac or something.
You got bubbles on you, you're scratching and everything else and just boom, it's gone.
The relief.
Boom.
Just like that.
Or a major sunburn that's like, you can't even move and just, it's instantly healed.
You know what I mean?
I can't even put it into words to tell you the truth.
But, yeah, just having faith in Jesus.
Jesus touched him saying, I will.
And be thou clean.
And immediately the leprosy departed from the man.
And then he charged him to tell no man.
Charging meant to, hey listen, give him instructions.
That's what it means.
Charge him back then to tell no man.
In other words, I'm instructing you, don't tell anybody.
But go and show thyself to the priests and offer for thy cleansing according to Moses' commandment and for the testimony unto them.
So he's telling them to go to the temple, do the offering that Moses is commanding people to do, and show the priests.
So, but so much more went their fame abroad of him, and great multitudes came together to hear and be healed by him of their infirmities.
So with that saying, it's like, yeah, the fame of Jesus.
You couldn't even put it into words.
Everywhere he started going now, people came out of the woodwork.
Thousands of people.
Imagine being swarmed by people everywhere.
Heal me, heal me, heal me.
Help me, help me, help me.
You know what I mean?
Begging for help and healers.
And also people possessed with devils.
You know, their relatives trying to say, save my son or daughter or whoever because they're possessed.
Thousands of people.
Imagine just being rushed like that.
But they all came to Jesus.
His fame was so popular.
And this is why the priests and the scribes, if they had it their way, they would have killed Jesus a long time ago.
Like before the crucifixion.
They were afraid to do that because of the faith of Jesus.
They would have had mobs at the synagogues.
They knew that.
So that's why they kept... As you can see, the trend going on here, within the last few books of this Bible... I'm sorry, the few books... Matthew, Mark, Luke, yeah.
The first three books of the Bible in the New Testament.
You're seeing the same common trend.
The Pharisees, the scribes, the priests, all trained, and the elders as well, were all trying to lure Jesus to do or say something stupid that would violate the law.
So they could charge him, you know, for violating the law.
Which was, you know, of course the commandments and also the laws that were set for the 600 and something laws that were placed.
And get him for blasphemy.
So...
Anyway, verse 16, and he withdrew himself into the wilderness and prayed.
So after all these people, you know, I couldn't even imagine how much time it took to heal all these people.
And he fed them most of the time, though.
Heal all these people, pray for them and everything else, so I guess he needed a break here.
He withdrew himself into the wilderness, went out into the middle of nowhere and prayed.
And it came to pass on a certain day, As he was teaching that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by.
Which would come out of every town of Galilee and Judea and Jerusalem.
And the power of the Lord was present to heal them.
So a certain day, this might be, I'll talk about the Sabbath.
Well, we'll read on to see what it is, so... So men, they were carrying this like a... I don't know, like a bed, a makeshift bed carrying a guy.
Like a gurney, whatever they have, you know, what they call them today, stretchers or something.
But a makeshift bed basically carrying a man that was stricken with palsy.
And they sought Jesus to help him heal from this, right?
And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitudes, they went upon the housetop and let him down to the ceiling there.
With his couch into the midst of Jesus.
So, basically Jesus is in this house, right?
There's multitude, thousands of people inside.
Probably banging at the door, yelling for him, hey, we need your help, and all that, right?
So, these guys are so desperate that their friend had palsy.
So, they literally climbed up on the roof, opened up the roof, and with ropes, lowered this guy down in his bed that had palsy.
Right in the midst of Jesus, right?
And when he saw their faith, he said unto them, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.
So, by them going through that extremes, getting through all the people, climbing up to the roof, opening up the roof, and lowering their friend down.
That showed faith.
Remember the woman?
He's walking through the crowd, and the woman just had the faith.
If I could just touch Jesus' tassel there, I could be healed, cleaned.
And when she did that, she pushed through the crowd, and just managed to touch his tassels.
Jesus stopped where he was, and he asked, who touched me?
And he knew it was a woman.
He looked back, and it was a woman.
And he goes, you're clean, because your faith, you had that much faith that you wrestled through a bunch of people to get to me.
And you reached out to, you know, all your strength and all that, just to touch my tassels in hope of being healed and clean.
And he goes, from this day, you are healed and clean.
But that's a demonstration of just that much faith.
Imagine you're trying to push through thousands of people here.
That's what's going on.
Thousands of people all over the place, right?
You get through the people, right?
You manage to climb up to the top of the house, the roof.
You open the roof somehow, and you and your buddies lower your friend down that's sick with palsy, in hopes that Jesus could help him.
That shows a lot of faith to do that.
You know, right there, that's what Jesus says.
He said he saw their faith and unto him, and he goes, man, thy sins are forgiven you.
And the scribes and pharisees began to reason, saying, who is this which is speaking blasphemies?
Who can forgive sins but God?
So now alone, man.
Who can forgive sins but God alone?
So the scribes and pharisees there, now they're saying, alright, yeah, I think we got something on him, because he's committing blasphemy.
Nobody can forgive sins but God.
That was back then, the laws and all that.
But of course, they avoid their own prophecies like Moses is talking about, and you know, many other prophets, Elias, talking about the coming of the Savior.
And they refuse to believe that Jesus is the Savior, even to this day, most of them.
So, they think Jesus is committing blasphemy.
Who?
Nobody can forgive sins but God.
Up until this point, when Jesus was sent here to forgive sins.
And it's in their own prophecy as well, but they refuse to believe that Jesus is the Messiah.
So now they're brainstorming, alright, this guy's committing blasphemy now.
So, anyway.
But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, He answered and said unto them.
So, cause Jesus could understand what they're saying.
You know, He knows what they're saying, they're up to, right?
He already knows what they're doing.
He already knows the scam that, you know, the game they're trying to play at.
So He looked at them and said to them, What reason ye in your hearts?
Whether it is easy to say, that sins be forgiven thee, or to say, rise up and walk.
In other words, to say, is it easy to say, just depart from me, or just sins be forgiven for thee?
But that ye may know the Son of Man has the power upon earth to forgive sins.
The Son of Man talking about himself, the Savior, the Messiah, right?
And he said unto the sick of the palsy, I say unto thee, arise and take up your couch, And go into thy house.
In other words, get up.
Get up.
Because remember, Paul, he couldn't move or nothing.
He was like strapped to a couch.
Or a bed, or whatever they called.
A gurney back then.
Whatever they carried him on, right?
So he says, get up.
Get off your couch.
And take up your couch.
Get up and take up that couch.
And go into thy house.
And immediately he rose up.
Before them, and took up that wherein he laid on, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.
Boom!
Just like that, Jesus just healed them.
Right in front of the Pharisees, right there.
The Pharisees and the scribes.
Did this right in front of the scribes.
When he said certain day, I believe this is going on in the Sabbath here.
And they were all amazed, and they glorified God, and they were filled with fear, saying, We have seen strange things today.
They're like, you know, a glorifying God, but they've never seen anything like this.
So, of course, there's going to be, they're afraid, you know, not in a bad way, but they're afraid, you know, because they've never seen anything like that to this day, you know.
And after these things that he went forth, he saw a Republican named Levi sitting on the receipt of a custom, custom, I'm sorry, and he said to him, follow me.
And he left that all, left all, I'm sorry, rose up and followed him.
Say, this Republican named Levi, just went up to him and said, listen, follow me.
And Levi just left all, everything he was doing and everything else, just left it, rose up and followed him.
And Levi made him a great feast into his house.
And there was a great company of Republicans and others that sat down with him, right?
So there's, um, there's a reason why it's described in this.
You're going to see this.
But the scribes and pharisees mumbled against his disciples saying, why do you eat, drink, and eat with publicans and sinners?
Why are you eating and drinking with publicans and sinners?
Because now they seem like, you know, these guys are supposed to be preaching the word of God, right?
And even though they think they're committing blasphemy, you know, apostles of Jesus, right?
Now they're saying, oh, look at him!
Oh, they're mumbling to each other.
Oh, look at them, they're sitting with the publicans and sinners.
They're eating and drinking with them.
And Jesus answered them.
I love when Jesus does that.
And he hears what they're saying.
They're just mumbling with each other, right?
Or their thoughts.
And Jesus hears their thoughts or whatever the case is.
They're mumbling, right?
Mumbling.
So, and Jesus answered them.
And he said that they that are whole need a physician, but they are sick.
Need not a physician.
So he's saying, sorry guys for botching it up.
So they that are whole, so basically if there's nothing wrong with you, you don't need a physician, right?
But they are sick.
So he's saying, like a parable here.
It's like if there's nothing wrong with you, why would you need a physician?
But the sick do, right?
And he goes on to say, I came not to call the righteous, but the sinners to repentance.
So he's talking to the scribes and all that, right?
Yeah, I came here not to preach on the righteous people, but the sinners to repentance.
I'm here to save people's sins.
I'm here to turn people from their dark ways.
So, in other words, what he was saying, another, you know, parable that you probably use, yeah?
It's like, what good is it for me to sit in the synagogues You know, in today's world.
Sit in the churches, right?
Then we'll use this sound.
Let me rephrase this, okay?
So, what this is saying in the modern day terminology, right?
This is why Jesus talked in parables.
I love it.
So, I'm gonna use layman's terms, which is like talking in parables, right?
So, basically, if you're a preacher, right?
You're preaching the Word of God.
What good is it to sit in a church among fellow believers and constantly preach the Word of God?
What good is that?
They already know, they're already saved, they already know the Word of God, right?
So what good is it to keep doing it?
If you're not out there in the world bringing people to repentance, coming to the lost and everything else, you know what I mean?
You're not doing nothing for God.
And yeah, granted in churches new people come in and all that, they need to understand the Word of God, but just say you're among believers, right?
And you're preaching the Word of God constantly.
And they already know this stuff, so what good is that?
Nothing wrong with it, I'm not saying there is.
But you're needed more out in the world.
That's why we do these videos.
Instead of me going to a church and trying to become a pastor or something.
I'd rather do this because people turn on to the videos here.
So let me see what this Bible thing is about.
Let's take Dan's perspective, which is not my perspective.
I go strictly by the Bible.
So, and I'm hoping that this reaches out to the lost.
So they can see what the Bible is really about, other than, you know, the watered-down churches, the 5-1-C-3 churches and all that, the watered-down ministries and all that, that just read through the Bible and give their lame interpretation.
We don't do that yet.
We just tell you what the Bible says and give the interpretation thereof from the context.
And what a lot of ministries will do, right?
Instead of reading the whole paragraph, I'm sorry, the whole chapter, right?
They'll take a verse here, hop over here, go to verse 27, drop down back to 11.
You know, they frog hop over, they go to another book.
They'll frog hop over the Bible, right?
To string verses together to make it sound like they're religious dogma.
That's called religious dogma.
They'll string Bible verses together that have nothing to do with what they're talking about.
But they'll string them together to make it sound like it.
And when you read each verse in its context, there's nothing at all.
That's why we emphasize about reading the scripture in context.
Context is key.
So you will not be deceived.
All religions do this, guys.
And that's why we always suggest to follow God.
Read the Bible for yourselves.
Why do you think the Catholic Church couldn't stand that?
When you had people, good people in the Catholic Church, priests, that became Protestants, means Protestants, right, of the Catholic Church, went off and joined Christian, you know, become a Christian, left the Catholic Church and started the Protestant movement, and started encouraging people to read the Bible for themselves, because these priests came upon the Bible, and they were like, wow!
Wow!
You know what I mean?
They started reading it for themselves, I'm sorry.
And they realized that everything that this Catholic Church is doing is in contrary to what the Scripture says.
And this goes for any religion out there, guys.
They don't want you reading the Bible for yourself.
Because religions can't control you.
They systematically, uh, use psychological techniques, psychological warfare.
They'll use a couple of scriptures, to frog hop over the Bible, to paint something that's not there.
And they know most people are not gonna challenge it.
98%, whatever.
They know that.
But people who do challenge it, they're like, alright, it's only a couple people who cares.
The churches are out there to make money.
That's the corporations.
That's why Jesus talked about money being the root of all evil.
Talked about traditions of men and these kind of things.
Follow God.
We don't need a Pope or a 700 Club.
Follow Jesus only.
All we need is Jesus.
He's the only teacher in the Holy Spirit.
The only intercessor.
We don't need to pray to anybody else.
We pray to God through Jesus, plain and simple.
We don't need anybody else.
No disrespect to Mary.
Okay, no disrespect to the angels or anybody else.
We don't need to pray to any of them.
They can't hear us and they can't help us.
And yes, angels do help people, but only on the instruction of God.
You can't pray to them direct and ask for help.
That's not how it works.
You pray to God through Jesus, and if God wants to help you, He's going to use one of His angels to help you.
But only on his command.
You can't pray to Michael, the archangel, and say, Michael, I need your help to do this.
It doesn't work that way.
God has to direct him to do that, not you.
I know that's going to rub off a lot of people with these different religions, but again, we go by the Bible, not religious dogma.
So I hope you guys understand what I'm talking about here.
So again, Jesus told them, I came not to call the righteous, but the sinners to repentance.
So, yeah, because again, the scribes and pharisees, they were like murmuring against him.
Well, why is he sitting with those people?
They're publicans and sinners.
So Jesus probably said, well, what do you want me to do?
Sit in your synagogues?
With all the priests and scribes and everybody?
What good am I going to do that with, you know, you guys already know the law.
What good am I there?
I'm going to go out to the world to bring light and salt to the earth.
That's what we're supposed to do.
That's why I do this here.
And anybody out there who's a street preacher, God bless you.
That is a warrior for God.
You got my full support and everything.
Anybody out there who's a street preacher, that is like probably one of the most commendable things that I could think of to do.
So, in verse 33, and they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers?
And likewise the disciples of the Pharisees, but thine eat and drink?
So Jesus said unto them, answering them back, Can you make the children of the bridegroom fast, while the bridegroom is with them?
You know, because the bridegroom is with them, so can you make them fast?
So they ask him, how come your disciples don't fast often?
That's what they're asking him.
Because he says, the bridegroom he's talking about is me.
Him, I'm sorry, Jesus.
He's the bridegroom and that's what he's talking about.
The children, he's talking about the apostles.
He says the apostles, they're with the bride chamber.
Why would they fast if they're with me?
But he says the day will come when the bridegroom should be taken away.
That's him.
He's going to be taken away.
And then they shall fast in those days.
So this is talking about, he's talking about after his crucifixion.
When he rises from the dead, goes back to the Father, right?
In those days he's not going to be here on the earth.
And then they're gonna fast.
But why would they fast if they're with them?
So Jesus just used common sense right back at them.
So, and He spake unto a parable unto them.
So, the thing is, He doesn't stop here.
That's what I love about Jesus.
He doesn't stop here.
He goes into a parable.
So, He clearly explained Himself right there.
Verses 34 and 35, right?
Clearly, clearly, right?
So, He goes on with the parable.
So this cements that you could not possibly be misunderstanding.
And this is why when people... I can't stand when people do that.
Oh, it's how you interpret the Bible.
That's what you take it as.
No.
We're not interpreting nothing yet.
The people we... In other words, if somebody went and read verses 34 and 35, right?
You give 10 different people, right?
Tell me what those two mean.
Those verses mean, right?
You gotta have 10 different interpretations.
Right?
That's not how it works yet.
So if you actually read it in its context, the context of this verse, right, will be verses 33 through, I think, 39.
So that's the context.
In this particular part of the Bible, right, the context of this, okay, the context of these verses right here, one or two of these verses right here, is 33 through 39.
That's the context of it.
So, of course, they'll take one of these two or both of these out of context to make them sound like... And what they'll do is they won't read further these false ministries and all that.
What they'll do is they'll jump to other parts of the Bible that sound something like that to make it fit that way.
And they can tell you what this means to sell your car to the church.
To give it to the church for free.
You know, just using exaggeration, but yeah, you get the point.
That's why context is key, guys.
So again, let's read the context of what he's saying.
So again, And they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the Pharisees, but dine, eat, and drink?
And he said unto them, Can you make the children of the bride-chamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them?
But he says, In the days that will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away, that's him being crucified, and he's got to be raised from the dead, and he's with the Father, right now as we speak, by his right side.
For them, and then they shall fast in those days.
And he goes on speaking the parable to make this un... So people... Zing is why he talked in parables, so all generations of all time could clearly understand what he's talking about.
So he told them in the parable, No man puts a piece of new garment upon an old.
If otherwise, then both the new maketh of the rent.
So what does that mean?
So just say you got a dress, right?
Or a suit.
Just say you tore a big hole in a suit or a dress, right?
You had this suit or dress for a while.
So you go out and get a piece of material, a new piece of material.
Just say your suit's black, right?
But your dress is red.
So you sew that new piece in place of that hole, right?
That new green, I'm sorry, that new red patch or that new black patch is going to be brighter and newer than the entire suit or dress, right?
It's got to look like crap.
And that piece that was taken out, the newest agreeeth not with the old.
That's what I was just saying.
Now, what does this have to do with this?
This is exactly what he's talking about, right?
And it goes on further.
And no man puts new wine into old bottles, else new wine will burst the bottles, right?
And be spilled.
And the bottles shall perish.
But the new wine must be put into new bottles, and both are preserved.
So, and it goes on to the next chapter to further explain what this is talking about.
Which will be chapter 6, yeah.
is better.
So, and it goes on to the next chapter to further explain what this is going to talk about.
Which will be chapter 6, yeah.
Which we're going to get into at the next video.
And it begins with the second, it came to pass on the second Sabbath after the first, and he went through the cornfields and his disciples plucked the ears of corn and did he rubbing them of their heads.
So we're going to get to that chapter six at the next video.
But this here is, this is why Jesus talked in parables.
And then what this is also meaning is like, you're not going to have old habits.
You know, if you want new wine, you're not going to use the old bottles.
And with Jesus, you need to perish your old self.
You're not going to put something righteous and holy on something that your old self, you know what I'm saying?
There's many meanings for this.
That he's trying to say, that you need to be new with him.
That's why it's called born again.
You need to, like, literally, your former self needs to be dead.
And to be born again in the spirit again.
The whole new person.
So, in other words, you're not going to put a whole new person in an old bottle.
You know what I mean?
You're going to put a whole new person in a new bottle.
if you get to drift, that's what he's trying to say here.
I hope that makes sense, guys.
But if you've got any questions, comments, or concerns, or anything like that, by all means, put them in the comments section.
And I know when this does premiere, people will be in the live chat, which I encourage people to take place in the live chat if you're lucky enough to see the premiere of this.
And if you are, just, you know, it's great for conversating with people and everything else.
It's awesome.
So, yeah, if you've got any questions, comments, concerns, put it in the comments section, and I'll get back to you.
But I appreciate everybody watching this here.
And remember, the Bible is very, very amazing, okay?
When you read it for what it is, not through the eyes of religion, take off those religious lens, the religious dogma, throw it out the window, guys.
We need to read the Bible for what it is.
Itself.
It's by the doctrine.
Right, yeah.
Sound doctrine, I'm sorry.
Sound doctrine means the Bible only.
Read it through the Holy Spirit, guys, and it's a whole new Bible.
And I'm not trying to condemn people who go to college and all that stuff, but you got scholars out there who've been to academies, colleges, universities, churches, and all that, and I'm gonna point this out, alright?
You can memorize a Bible from front to back and back to front, right?
Verse for verse, word for word, right?
But if it's not written upon your heart, you don't know it.
And a lot of people don't understand that.
They can't comprehend what you're talking about.
Oh, I've been to Bible Academy.
I went to four years of school and I got a doctorate in Theosophy and History.
This, that, and the other thing.
Oh, well, so what?
What does that mean to God?
Did you receive the knowledge of God through the Holy Spirit?
Did you read the Word of God through the Holy Spirit other than your professor or the priest or the pastor?
Or even me!
I'm telling you out there too!
I'm just showing you what the, you know, do my best to show you what the scripture has to say.
You need to read this for yourselves, guys.
Plain and simple.
Don't take my word or anybody else's word for it.
You need to read it for yourselves.
And if you so-called Bible scholars out there, just because you've got a piece of paper that says you're a scholar, You gotta question yourself too, and I'm not doubting you guys, I'm not putting you down, but the only person that could be a Bible scholar, a true Bible scholar, is somebody who uses the Holy Spirit to learn the Word of God.
Not an academy, not a college, university, or a church.
Doing exactly what we're doing here guys, that's what a Bible scholar, a real Bible scholar does.
A Bible scholar is somebody who simply knows the Word.
And the Word's got to be written upon your heart.
Unfortunately, the Word is not written upon most Bible scholars.
Because they've got a piece of paper from a man in university, That they are better than anybody else.
Nobody's better than anybody else.
And anybody that reads the Bible through the Holy Spirit, and has it written upon their heart, you're a scholar.
You don't need a doctorate degree or a piece of paper on your wall to prove that.
Only the Holy Spirit, only God could ordain you as a Bible scholar.
Not man or a church.
Or a university.
Remember that.
The only person that can ordain you is God Himself, the Holy Spirit.
So that being said guys, check me out on truthradioshow.com.

And if you got any questions, comments, concerns, put them in the...
