The U.S. Navy can no longer operate inside the Persian Gulf due to Iranian missile range.
If you look at the map today of the Persian Gulf, we can't even go into the Persian Gulf. We had a U.S. naval base in Bahrain, right in the middle of the Persian Gulf, across from Iran. Bases in Kuwait, bases in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia. The U.S. Fifth Fleet, all of our ships are now out of the Persian Gulf. This is like the Yangtze River of 2026. And it's ironic because that period of the Asiatic fleet, the Yangtze River gunboats, was exactly 100 years ago, 1926. So in 2026, our gunboats, destroyers, Can't go into the Persian Gulf anymore. They can't do it. To try to run past the Strait of Hormuz would be a suicide dash.
