Governor Ralph Northam issued an executive order banning guns at the rally and declared a state of emergency based on credible intelligence of out-of-state threats.

But he signed an executive order banning guns and other weapons from the site of this rally event. And, you know, because if you really look at it, it really was becoming more or less a completely unpredictable gun rally. So he put this ban in place, effective from Friday the 17th through Tuesday the 21st. This executive order was also a declaration of a state of emergency based on credible intelligence that tens of thousands of people from out of state were planning to converge and that, quote, Yeah. Yeah. It's hard to say exactly what his credible intelligence is or was, since we aren't privy to the inner workings of Virginia law enforcement. But if you have to go off what's publicly available, I think you should come to the conclusion that Northam's decision was more than justified.
