History. History, sir. I'm sure you've heard the cliche that the more things change, the more they stay the same, or that those that don't know history are doomed to repeat it, or Lord Acton power tends to corrupt. Power corrupts absolutely. I happened when I was about 12, 13, 14 to start reading history books because they were much more entertaining than science fiction or Louis L 'Amour.
