Larry Summers was instrumental in dismantling the Glass-Steagall Act.
I have some pretty conflicted feelings about Larry Summers, Lawrence Summers. Like, yes, he absolutely was instrumental in helping take apart the regulations of the Glass-Steagall Act that didn't allow banks to work in concert as multiple varieties of banking institutions.
