🚨 Meloni CAUGHT BETRAYING Trump — Now BEGGING To KEEP U.S. Troops In Italy!

Trish Regan details a diplomatic crisis where Italian Prime Minister Georgia Maloney allegedly betrays U.S. interests by refusing base access and underpaying NATO dues, prompting President Trump to threaten withdrawing 13,000 troops. Regan criticizes Pope Leo XIV for interfering in Iran policy and French President Emmanuel Macron for contradictory actions regarding the Strait of Hormuz blockade. The episode further attacks New York Mayor Zorah Mamani's socialist policies as driving capital flight and condemns the 1619 Project, ultimately arguing that American liberty and capitalism are superior to European socialism. Italy Panics Over Pope 00:14:24
Well, Italy is really panicked right about now.
So panicked.
They got a lot on the line, if you would, right now, because you see, Georgia Maloney is trying to convince Marco Rubio that Italy is not as bad as we all think.
But, you know, that's not an easy thing to do given some of her most recent actions, including not allowing us to use the base that we built and that we maintain in Sicily and that we needed and requested the use of.
Welcome to the program, everyone.
I am Trish Regan.
We got a lot of developments happening.
Overseas right now, a few happening right here in our neck of the woods as well, with AOC somehow wishing that she was Italian, Spanish, French, you name it.
She's certainly a socialist and she's making it very clear.
You didn't earn that.
Oh, pulling a fast one.
A la Obama.
These are words I don't need to hear again.
Anyway, like I said, she ought to consider a move to Europa, to Italia.
You've got Rubio over there meeting with the Pope in Rome, and guess what?
Our Now he's going to be meeting with one Georgia Maloney as she tries to salvage her situation, which is not especially good for her or her country.
Georgia Maloney is going to have to convince Donald Trump, or in this case Marco Rubio, not to withdraw 13,000 troops from Italy.
We get a bunch of bases there, six really critical ones.
And he's like, I've had it.
I mean, lady, you kind of aren't what you were.
Let's just say we want to like Italy, right?
We like it.
I mean, the food alone.
Io parlo italiano.
I speak it.
I sing it.
I love Italian opera.
Puccini's my favorite.
I love Italy.
You know what?
And I was so happy that Georgia Maloney was there because finally you had somebody who seemed to be thinking a little bit differently.
They did the right thing in electing her, but what has happened?
I mean, she's brought 500,000 migrants in, whole plan, 165,000 this year, and then she's staggering out over the next three years.
She's giving them full benefits.
I'm like, Georgia, this isn't what you campaigned on.
On top of which, Despite seeming like she was Donald Trump's best friend, she's kind of turned around and stabbed him in the back with a bit of a betrayal because she won't allow us to use our base.
So she's noted as one of the most difficult members now of NATO.
Do you guys know that she's not even paying the lousy 2%?
She said she'd pay 5%, okay?
5%, right?
Well, now she can't pay 5% because her economy is not what she thought it was going to be, and they may be heading into recession.
And now she's saying she can't even pay the 2%.
I mean, she's stiffening us with the check, for goodness sakes.
And the president has been out criticizing her as well as Pope Leo.
Okay, because Leo thought he could get involved in telling the president how the world should be run.
And well, that's not going to go over well with one Donald Trump.
You know that.
I know that.
It's turned into a whole big thing.
So they got to send the secretary of everything.
And I mean everything.
Marco Rubio is one busy guy.
He may be the next president.
He's over there trying to patch things up.
Corriere della Sera.
This is the New York Times of Italy.
We talked about this a couple of weeks ago when it happened because, wow.
President Trump started attacking her on her own home turf, in her own home newspaper.
I mean, it would be like Georgia Maloney starting to attack him in the New York Times.
I mean, it's just sort of wow.
And he said in this interview, when he was questioned about her, he said, Do they like the fact that your president, meaning Georgia Maloney, isn't giving us any help in getting the oil?
Do they like that?
This is President Trump to Corriere de la Sera.
I can't imagine that, he said.
I'm shocked at her.
Shocked.
I thought she had courage, but I was wrong.
He was asked, Well, have you talked to her about this?
And I got to tell you, he's been ghosting them all.
I mean, totally ghosting him.
Although I got some sound to play for you because he sent out the attack dogs and we got attack dogs galore.
My friend Andy, you know Andy Puzder, he's phenomenal.
He's now the ambassador to the UN.
He was on Bloomberg, one of my old employers.
I got a few.
It's so much better being over here.
Please make sure you subscribe.
Please, please, please.
Anyway, Andy is out there saying, well, what the heck?
You guys promised you were going to do X, Y, and Z. You haven't done it.
So we're going to tariff you.
The president is pretty disgusted.
With how you don't follow through on anything.
Anyway, here he is speaking with Corriere de Becerra.
And he said, You know, they said, Have you talked to her about this?
And he said, No.
She just says Italy doesn't want to get involved, even though Italy gets their oil from there, even though the Americas is very important to her, even though we spent a ton of money.
We're talking two to five billion dollars just on those bases alone.
And she doesn't think that Italy should get involved.
She thinks America should do the job for her.
She should not be involved.
Well, if she's not going to be involved, then you know what?
We don't need to be involved either now, do we?
We don't need to be spending all that money now, do we?
And I will tell you this we shouldn't be spending the money anyway, right?
Because frankly, honestly, we don't have it.
I mean, you know, there's a lot of things that we should be doing that we need to be doing to improve our own situation right here at home.
So we can't be spending all that money overseas, and they ought to grow up and take care of themselves.
And frankly, you know, it's a mature economy with plenty of industry, and they can do it.
I mean, it was different in 1946.
But we're not living in 1946.
In terms of Pope Leo, well, this is a biggie.
Okay, so Marco Rubio is over there.
He just met with the Pope a few hours ago, he and his wife, and they're like trying to salvage this because Pope Leo, the Vatican, just kind of just came out like attack dogs themselves, slamming Donald Trump, slamming America for what's going on in the Middle East.
And they've been doing it repeatedly.
I mean, think about it.
Ever since Donald Trump came to office, we'd heard from Pope Leo on immigration.
For example, he thinks we ought to open the borders.
Yeah.
We do have this thing called democracy.
We do elect our presidents.
I realize the Pope thing's a little bit different, but we elect our presidents and we elected him for a reason.
The number one reason, Pope Leo, was to seal the border shut.
We didn't want any more people coming over here illegally.
So Pope Leo started it back then and he brought this up.
He said on Pope Leo and his appeal to peace, Trump said that the Pope doesn't understand that Iran is a nuclear threat.
He doesn't understand it.
He is the guy that should be talking about war.
He's not the guy who should be talking about war because he has no idea what's going on.
He doesn't understand that in Iran they killed 42,000 protesters.
He doesn't understand that, does he?
And you know, she backed him.
She backed him.
You saw Georgia Maloney.
When this whole thing went down, we heard from Maloney on how she had solidarity with the Pope.
Okay.
She's got all this solidarity with the Pope.
And she made that very clear to reporters.
And she wasn't going to budge from that.
And I'm just going to tell you like, fine.
Okay.
I get it.
And I know nobody wants me to pick on the Pope.
I know that.
Okay.
But.
You know, the Pope really shouldn't have started this.
He really shouldn't have.
And he did.
So now we have Marco Rubio over there today meeting with Pope Leo, an American, by the way.
I mean, how great is that?
Kind of nice.
His brother supports Trump, incidentally.
He may not, but his brother does.
And Marco's like trying to, you know.
Well, it's easier.
This is a baseball guy.
Warm him up.
He's giving him a gift.
You see that?
It's a football, I think.
A crystal football with the State Department emblem on it.
And I believe the Pope then gave him a gift, which is a.
Pen and they had a nice little chat of some sort.
I imagine Marco did a very good job because he's very skilled at this and he is a diplomat and he seems to be getting his way everywhere he goes.
So, and he's got quite a nice diamond ring, shall I say, in that picture on him.
If you're watching, if you're listening, thank you for that.
I'm on Spotify and Apple and all those places as well.
I think that this feud has been simmering for some time and so.
hopefully this will help get us past the situation because Pope Leo, I agree with Donald Trump, doesn't really seem to have any sense of reality here in terms of all the lives that have been lost.
And I really, you know what?
He's religious.
So I get it.
And I understand you never, ever want to be in a position where you're using weapons, right?
And you're taking out lives.
But I'm also just a realist.
And you think about how he was making these statements as far back as March 31st, where he said he thought that Trump was looking for an off-ramp from this conflict.
Okay, but why do you have to say that?
All right.
And then Pope Leo came back April 7th and he declared Trump's threat to destroy the Iranian civilization as unacceptable.
Remember when Donald Trump did that?
He put something out on True Social.
He was like, you know what?
I'm going to destroy the civilization.
And it was like AOC and Rashida Tlaib and the Pope who were like, how dare he?
How dare he?
How dare he?
I mean, I'm sorry.
He doesn't mince words.
He calls it like he sees it.
And he wanted to make it very clear that if they weren't going to stop, then yes, we were going to have a really, really bad situation.
Trump fired back.
A while.
He took a few days.
I mean, like five days.
That's a lot for him.
Five days later, he said, I'm not a fan of Pope Leo.
I imagine you're not.
April 13th, the Pope responded saying, We must continue to speak out loudly against war.
I mean, what are you going to do?
Again, you know, we got to live in the real world here.
Trump insisted that he had nothing to apologize for.
And then the Pope decided to double down on April 16th.
And boy, oh boy, MSNBC just kept running this clip in a loop.
They were having a field day because Pope Leo decided to say this.
I want to give you this background.
Considering what Marco Rubio went into there today in Rome.
Jesus told us, blessed are the peacemakers, but woe to those who manipulate religion in the very name of God for their own military, economic, or political gain, dragging that which is sacred into darkness and filth.
The world is being ravaged by a handful of tyrants, yet is held together by a multitude of supportive brothers and sisters.
That's really from the clip.
I told you, MSMBC was having a field day and they were just running that thing on a loop and they couldn't stop talking about it because now they had some kind of validation.
It wasn't just little AEOC and Rashida Tlaib calling him out.
It was the Pope himself.
So they ran all day with this and you can understand, you know, look, it gets kind of ugly when these religious figures decide to get very, very political.
And so Donald Trump then went off on him and didn't stop, right?
I mean, even criticizing him in Corriere della Sera, the newspaper that's like the New York Times in Italy.
And so he, Yet, you know, I think Pope Leo finally realized at some point, going back a couple of weeks, April 17th was the day when he came to the realization that, you know, it might not be in his interest.
Those were his words.
It's not my interest to debate Donald Trump.
I'd agree with you on that.
I really would.
And I think Marco Rubio probably delivered a very similar message to the Pope today.
Like, stay out of it, okay?
Stay out of it.
There's been a certain narrative.
That has not been accurate in all of its aspects, but because of the political situation created when, on the first day of the trip, the President of the United States made some comments about myself.
Much of what has been written since then has been more commentary on commentary, trying to interpret what has been said.
Just one little example the talk that I gave at the prayer meeting for peace a couple days ago was prepared two weeks ago, well before the President ever commented.
On myself and on the message of peace that I am promoting.
And yet, as it happens, it was looked at as if I was trying to debate again the president, which is not my interest at all.
No, definitely not in your interest.
Remember that, okay?
And I'm sure Marco sat him down and said, listen, it's really not in your interest.
And Marco, by the way, is very respectful of him.
Marco's a longtime Catholic, born and raised Catholic.
And I'm sure it was extraordinarily thrilled to be there with him, as was his wife that was.
Quite an honor, and I guarantee he was respectful.
But I will also tell you, he told him exactly what he thought.
So he's meeting with the Pope in Rome tomorrow.
He's meeting with Georgia Maloney, and he's gonna have to tell her some kind of similar message.
Nice little photo of them there.
The Vatican put out a whole bunch of photos.
You see, they're meeting, the Vatican took that photo, and I would say, Good, okay, good.
Now we can like put Pope Leo aside.
And if Marco did the job well, that's exactly what's gonna happen.
It's called neutralizing, right?
We don't need religion and politics all getting worked up into something.
Again, we got some very unhelpful members of NATO right now.
The whole lot of them.
I mean, I don't think we have one that's helpful.
Do we?
I mean, maybe some of the Eastern, I think Poland's been a little bit better.
So we got all these countries.
Italy's one of them.
That's where Marco is.
He's meeting with Georgia.
Marco's meeting with Georgia to try and talk some sense into her.
And Georgia is absolutely panicked.
Neutralizing Vatican Politics 00:15:24
Because Georgia Maloney, whether she admits this or not, knows how much her economy is dependent on the US of A.
And Uncle Sam, for all of those bases, they got a bunch of them, okay?
A whole bunch of them.
Take a look at this map that I made.
Sigonella is very important.
N A Sigonella.
Some of you guys caught that typo in the graphic I was showing you, so I fixed it today.
And you've got other very, very important ones in Napoli, the NSA in Naples.
You've got another one near Rome, Vicenza near Venice.
I mean, very, very important.
You've got Gaeta, which is for our U.S. Navy ships.
Look at all of those bases.
These are just the most important ones because we've got quite a few stations over there.
And it's important.
I mean, like that one down in Sicily is really quite critical, really critical, because, you know, you need to have sort of a stopover.
And we thought we were going to be able to use the stopover, but apparently, despite the $2 to $5 billion that we spend every year there just on direct stuff, like this is like operations, this is benefit plans, this is pay for our personnel, we're not allowed to go and use our own bases.
What would she have done?
Guys, I'm curious.
What do you think Georgia Maloney, who basically just betrayed Donald Trump, would have actually done if we said, Yeah, tough luck, Georgia, we're going?
Because we could have.
I mean, we're very polite to say, No, okay, we'll sit this one out.
But we could have.
What's she going to do?
Like fire on our planes?
How dare you say that we can't use our own bases that we have built up and paid for?
And so now she's caught in a rather difficult position.
Anticipating getting some sound from her tomorrow.
I'll be very curious to see what she has to say, whether or not she and Marco Rubio do a joint press conference.
I would imagine they will.
But the only thing we have from her right now is a little bit of her sort of expressing her displeasure at the idea that Donald Trump might take these troops.
He's talking about taking 13,000 from Italy.
And so she was in Armenia with all the other Europeans the other day, and she said this.
Look, I can't tell you what will happen.
As I've said many times before, we know that for some time now, the United States has, shall we say, been discussing a withdrawal from Europe, which is why I believe we must strengthen our security and, let's say, develop our capacity to respond in this regard.
That said, it is clearly a decision that does not depend on me, and one that I personally would not support.
But there is one thing I would like to make clear Italy has always honored its commitments, Italy has honored every commitment it has undertaken.
It has always done so.
We have done so, particularly within NATO.
We have done so even when our direct interests were not at stake.
We did so in Afghanistan.
We did so in Iraq.
And so, let's say, I do not consider some of the things that have been said about us to be fair, not least because within the Atlantic Alliance, no one has ever appeared in a formal setting to ask the Allies' support regarding the choices they were making.
Okay, there we are.
We're back at that.
They got their little excuse.
They're saying, Well, Donald Trump, you didn't ask for permission, and we want you to ask for permission.
And he's saying, Well, I don't need to ask for permission because I'm the one who.
Foot's the bill for this.
It's the American taxpayer that's paying for this.
And we're paying for it for a reason because we think we have an alliance, right?
We think we have friends.
An alliance, like the definition of the word, is you're aligned together.
And sometimes you don't have the opportunity to make the phone call to Georgia Maloney and say, hey, is it okay if we strike Iran?
Because if you make that phone call, you're actually going to risk the lives of your American soldiers.
You're going to risk the entire mission.
So, no, you can't call and ask permission from Georgia Maloney.
Georgia Maloney were smart.
She would say, gee, you know what?
They're kind of the big cheese.
They're kind of the big brother.
They're kind of like mom and dad, right?
And they need to use the house this weekend.
So I better get all my friends out.
We can't have a party at the lake house this weekend because mom and dad need to come to town.
And instead of saying, sure, so that, you know, she might get the lake house the next weekend or the following, She puts up a stink and refuses to allow us access.
I mean, he's right.
He could have just said, Well, forget it.
I'm going anyway.
But he's a nice guy underneath it all.
I know they don't, he's actually a really nice guy.
He's a very, very nice man.
And you look at the success and loveliness of all his kids, and it sort of, I think, speaks for itself.
He's a very nice man.
And so he didn't do that.
He didn't, but he didn't appreciate it.
And they said, Did you talk to her directly?
And he's like, Well, no, I don't have to because she's out there in the press saying all this and she's making it really clear.
And I think, in a way, like he's a little bit hurt.
He's like, What the heck?
You know, I've supported you, we give you a ton of money.
And you won't let us use the house this weekend.
I mean, come on.
And on top of it, you know, rubbing salt in the wound.
I've been telling you about this one because it really irked me.
Italy's allowing 500,000 new migrant entries in the next three years.
This is her program, her plan.
And she's out there.
I've played you the sound.
We don't have to run it today, but she's out there saying it's so critical.
It's so important for Italy's future and for Europe's future.
And it's like, wait, wait, wait, wait.
I'm pretty sure I heard you campaigning on something very, very different.
I'll point out that today she was hosting.
The prime minister of Hungary, the new one that's taking over for Orban, and he's pretty conservative and doesn't want a whole lot of more migration coming into Hungary right now.
They've actually been really adamant about borders in Hungary.
And that's sort of a coalition of two conservative minds.
But for whatever reason, she's not strong enough to stand up to the rest of Europe.
I will tell you, if she's a smart woman, she's going to go into that meeting with Marco and she's going to say, Hey, I want to have a strong relationship with the U.S. because Georgia Maloney has a good chance at actually leading.
Europe forward right now if she's the point person, because I'll tell you, he's got no use for Macron, who's out of there anyway, pretty soon, and gets slapped around by his wife now and then.
You know what video I'm talking about.
Anyway, he's got no use for Macron.
He's got no use for Freddie Mertz.
Fred Mertz, you know, I love Lucy, the chancellor of Germany, who's been just obnoxious.
I mean, trying to say terrible stuff about the US.
And he's got no use for Kirstarmer.
None of us have any use for poor Keir.
I mean, they don't have a lot of people to choose from.
So I would say, Georgia, if you play your cards right, you actually might have a great political future because you might be able to do a lot for your country.
I think that Donald Trump wants to take care of his friends and hurt his enemies.
So why would you try and be an enemy when, you know what, we could do a lot of good stuff together?
It doesn't make any sense.
But Georgia has a lot on the line right now.
And I would start with, you know what, just pay your bills.
Okay?
Signora, il conto per favore.
I like to practice my Italian.
I really do.
For those of you that know, I studied opera for many, many years.
So I really do love Italy and I wish Maloney would get it together and I wish they would pay their bills because you can't even, like, you were supposed to pay 5%.
And now she's coming out saying, we're not even going to do the 2%.
It's like 1.7%.
And I'm like, again, who are you?
You're stiffening us on the check?
I mean, no, Okay, no.
Hey, reminder subscribe, subscribe, subscribe.
It's important.
If you agree with me, if you want to say no, just go and subscribe to the channel and hit the bell so you know when I'm live.
Donald Trump, though, he's saying no.
He's like going totally nuclear, and he's doing it in a clever way today.
He basically has a full court press out.
He's got all his attack dogs on both continents saying, NATO, get it together.
I want to start.
With the ambassador to the UN, Mike Waltz, who said, You know, like, if you guys can't even do this, like, if the world can't come together and say, We're going to protect international waters, we're not going to allow a bunch of pirates to hold the Strait of Hormuz hostage with their little tolls and their ransom payments, if you can't do that, then we don't have much of a world order now, do we?
And don't get in our way when we try and actually help the rest of you, for goodness sakes.
Here he is, Mr. Waltz.
Demand the removal of mines from an international waterway that you cannot exact illegal tolls.
We have to address these violations here in the council, and we have to ask ourselves if a country chooses to oppose such a simple proposition, do they really want peace?
As energy and food costs rise for the world's peoples, and if aid fails to reach The very people that the countries in the council claim to care about, what does that really say?
It says the world is powerless.
The world is willing to get held hostage by a bunch of religious zealot thugs.
And if we're not here to step up to the plate and do something about it, the world would be in a really, really tough spot.
Something Pope Leo needs to remember.
So he's got Mike Waltz out there saying this.
You know, they're all terrified right now.
They're so scared.
They're like, NATO's not going to be able to function right now and not with all that money from mom and dad, right?
Can't use the lake house this weekend.
Nope, nope, no stopping down in Sigonella.
No using airspace in France.
Not even the airspace.
Unbelievable.
And now this is what they're really worried about because, you know, we've been pulling back on all those long-range missiles.
That we've been given them.
And we've now canceled the deployment of that weapons battalion.
And they're scared because now they think they have no deterrence and get Russia.
And Russia's clearly the boogeyman and has been for a long time.
Like going back to the Cold War.
Apparently, we're still living in the Cold War, right?
I mean, they've been making NATO bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger.
We started at what, 12 countries and now we're at 32?
And there's always a threat.
I mean, granted, they got the thing going on with Ukraine right now.
And apparently, we're not paying enough attention to Ukraine because we actually have to work on something that really would ensure the viability of the world for the future, which happens to be Iran, making sure it's not nuclear and the Strait of Hormuz.
Now, keep in mind, we have already assured everyone that, you know what, we took out the uranium, we got rid of the bad stuff, we got rid of leadership team number one, leadership team number two, and we're on number three, and we got rid of the Navy.
We got rid of the army.
They got nothing, okay?
All they got is the ability to hold people up and act like pirates in the Strait of Hermos, which we're going to stop them from doing too.
So these negotiations are going on right now.
And Trump is really angry at NATO because they have been useless.
And you look at the UN and they are useless.
So it all comes back to us.
Okay, fine.
You know what?
We can handle it.
But it means that we're probably not going to give you all that money that we've been giving you because we really need to rethink things right about now.
And that's what's happening.
And that's why they're freaking out.
But again, I just say, Can't you guys be sensible?
I'm hoping George Maloney comes around.
I'm really looking forward to seeing what comes out of her discussions with Marco Rubio because I hope that there's a shred of intelligence and foresight into the future because this is either going to go the easy way or it's going to go the hard way.
All right.
And the easy way is we help Europe continue to get on its own two feet.
We encourage them to do that.
And we do it all staying friends.
I mean, that's the way to do it.
Right.
But right now.
Given that they've done such a poor job and given that they haven't kept up their end of the bargain on like anything, the president's like, well, we're going to tariff you.
He loves those tariffs.
I know it.
He loves them.
And I will say this like, wouldn't you rather use financial tools, financial instruments to kind of get your way?
Again, think about mom and dad, right?
They can withhold the allowance and they can make sure you're not going to the lake house this weekend.
Well, actually, in this case, Italy.
Seems to think as a little kid it's going to party at the lake house when we need it.
All right, listen, we are putting in tariffs that will send Germany's economy into a recession.
Do you know how scary that is for NATO?
Because Germany just came out last week and was so proud because they're authoring their very first defense paper since 1945.
Yeah, it's been a while.
The secretary of defense is like, Whoa, I finally got my shot, my big break.
And so they're assuming responsibility.
And as such, the rest of Europe has said, well, you don't have to worry about your NATO budget.
We know you're supposed to give 5% of GDP.
We'll let you get away with 3%.
Yeah, they're not doing it either.
On top of which, they're running up major deficits because they got all the migrants coming in.
I mean, it's Migrant City over there in Germany.
And apparently they don't learn their lesson with all the violence that's been breaking out related to that.
Very poor integration where it's just not meshing, it's not working.
And so they got all these people that they suddenly got to take care of.
And now they can't pay their NATO bill.
And what else?
They can't pay or they can't manage, I should say, their budget.
They got crazy deficits.
There's a rule in Europe right now because, you know, they went through this with Greece.
You can't have deficits that exceed 3% deficit spending of GDP.
And what does Germany do?
They're doing it.
Oh, and so is Italy and quite a few of the others.
France, too, you know, they got a lot of liabilities that they got to take on.
And so Donald Trump's like, all right, you're not doing what you said because we sat down in Scotland in July of 25 and you promised that you were going to actually do all these large energy purchases.
I don't know where they're getting their energy.
I mean, we sanctioned the Russian stuff.
I don't know where they're getting it.
But, you know, you're supposed to buy $750 billion worth of energy from US of A.
We got energy up the wazoo.
Lucky us, smart us, not lucky us.
I don't believe in luck.
Europe's Deficit Crisis 00:15:59
You know what?
I believe in hard work and intelligence.
And we had the foresight to say, we're going to go forward and we're going to drill and we're going to have the technology and we're going to have the instruments available to encourage investors to be here in the US of A with these projects.
And by the way, we'll take a nice hard look at Venezuela while we're at it.
And we got all that stuff too.
So he said, you can make these investments in the US.
I want these cars being built in the US.
And if you do all this, you won't have the high tariffs.
Well, what did they do?
They didn't do it.
And so here we are.
We're sitting around.
Twirling our thumbs almost an entire year later, and they haven't done any of that investment.
So, you combine all this together oh, you can't use our airspace, you can't use your bases, your own bases.
We're gonna come out and knock you for this war.
We don't like it.
These are our allies.
And so he's sitting there going, well, you know, you haven't been paying your bills and you promised you were going to put all this money in.
I told you the only way you were going to get off these tariffs was if you put the money in.
And so guess what?
The tariffs are coming back.
They started already.
Yeah.
Andy Puster.
Andy is the greatest guy.
I've known him a zillion years.
And I'm so happy that he's now our ambassador to the EU.
He sat down in Brussels this morning with my former employer, Bloomberg Television.
And he gave him a warning.
I told you the attack dogs are out.
Donald Trump sent him.
He said, you make sure it's clear.
I'm ghosting them for now, but you go do your job.
And Andy sure did.
He laid it out pretty darn clear.
You're going to have problems, Europe.
If you don't keep up your end of the bargain, you're going to have problems soon.
Watch.
I think that what the president was saying, look, this has gone on long enough.
We're done debating or negotiating.
We cut a deal.
President von der Leyen and I cut a deal in July.
Our representatives put it to paper in August.
We cut the tariffs retroactive to August 1 on automobiles.
You've done nothing for nine months.
Like I said, they cut a deal.
Ursula and he cut a deal.
So he's kind of annoyed.
And they're kind of freaking out because they know that if Germany gets hit with 25% tariffs, it's going to send Germany most likely into a recession.
And that's because the German auto sector is something like 6% of GDP and pretty relevant.
To the German economy.
You combine that plus higher oil prices, which I happen to think are going to be coming down in the relative near future.
Well, they're scared because they are depending on Germany to lead them forward and take the place of the United States of America in this military protection effort.
So Ursula von der Leyen, I oopsie, I messed up that name, right?
I'll try it again, but I go, I like to call her Ursula.
So Ursula, who's over in Brussels.
Said today they're working on it, okay?
She heard Andy and she also heard what the president put out on True Social.
Let's watch.
I want to thank President Trump personally for his personal commitment and leadership to achieve this breakthrough.
He's a tough negotiator, but he is also a deal maker.
Okay.
So they're learning maybe if they just.
Use a little bit of flattery, it could go a little bit further than what they've been doing.
He did say, I had a great call with the president of the European Commission's commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
I got it right that time.
We discussed many topics, including that we are completely united that Iran can never have a nuclear weapon.
Well, I'm glad he realizes that because we get some podcasters out there like Tucker Carlson who suddenly thinks Iran should have a nuclear weapon.
Woo!
All right.
Uh, we agreed that a really Regime that kills its own people cannot control a bomb that kills millions.
I've been waiting patiently for the EU to fulfill their side of the historic trade deal we agreed to in Turnbury, Scotland.
That's the one I was just telling you about, the largest trade deal ever.
A promise that was made that the EU would deliver their side of the deal and, as per their agreement, cut their tariffs to zero.
I agreed to give her until our country's 250th birthday.
Woohoo!
It's going to be a big one, you know it.
July 4th.
or unfortunately their tariffs will immediately jump to much higher levels.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, President Donald J. Trump.
Okay, guys, so this is a big deal.
He extended that.
He said, enough is enough is enough.
And he's given her a teeny tiny window.
I'm not so sure they can do it, though.
But she seemed thankful, right?
Didn't she?
Because the good answer, lady, you better seem thankful in light of what could be coming.
Because again, remember how much they are looking to Germany right now, all of Europe.
Germany is the biggest economy over there, which isn't saying much.
But collectively, all together, all these countries in the EU, they're worth about $17 billion.
Billion dollars a year in GDP.
Compare and contrast with us, we're somewhere around 32 billion, so nearly twice their size.
But you know, it's relevant, and Germany does have the most prosperous economy of the bunch.
So they're looking to Germany to try and help.
Germany's going to be effectively the new NATO.
I don't know what really is going on with us, whether we pull out entirely or whether we just scale back.
I think it's probably going to be scaling back, which is why Germany is.
Freaking out because they got a chancellor.
I love Lucy.
This is how you're never going to forget his name Fred Mertz.
I realize there's no T, but in German you pronounce it as Mertz.
So Mertz, close enough.
Friedrich, Freddy.
Okay, so Chancellor Friedrich, Fred Mertz, is now saying that Iran must come to the negotiating table.
Woo, where did that come from?
Okay, this is all brand new as of like yesterday.
Okay, he sat down with Portugal Prime Minister.
And they had a little news conference, and he said all of this.
He said it must end.
They got to end their nuclear program definitively and forever.
Unsere gemeinsame Botschaft lautet.
And then he said no more attacks on Israel, no more attacks on regional partners.
That would be like the UAE, for example, Kuwait.
And Germany is ready to help secure the Strait of Hormuz.
You are?
Wow.
All right.
Well, that's good.
Because it can't be the UK.
The UK doesn't have a boat.
They had to borrow one from you.
And France has gone totally rogue and they decided to send their Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier over there.
It seemed to be some sort of bid by Macron to take over the entire thing.
I mean, he's really losing it.
We've got to talk about that because he managed to get one of his boats through.
So I'm like, was this some kind of like weird backstabbing betrayal from little Macron, the little frog guy?
New York Times.
Has said, boy, Germany, you screwed up.
Do you remember what he said last week, you guys, about humiliating the U.S. had been humiliated?
The New York Times is like Germany has appeared not to believe President Trump's threats to pull troops from the country.
Once it was announced, Berlin offered a measured response.
How Germany may have misjudged Trump's anger on Iran.
How could you guys misjudge that?
Like, it's a big deal.
He was pretty darn clear about all of it.
And yet, you guys had the audacity to go out, or Mr. Merz did.
And complain about how Tehran was humiliating the U.S.
And I'll tell you, you know, the president waited a day or two, but then he let them have it.
Boy, did he ever let them have it.
He's pulling 5,000 troops from Germany.
And he says he could pull even more.
Oh, yeah, he's ready to pull them all.
Why is the U.S. removing troops from Germany?
Further than 5,000.
Thank you very much.
Okay, Freddie.
So you have only yourself to thank for this little number.
At the moment, I can't tell what strategic exit the Americans are pursuing, said the German chancellor last week, especially since the Iranians are obviously negotiating very skillfully, or perhaps very skillfully refusing to negotiate, and they are letting the Americans travel to Islamabad only to send them home empty-handed.
An entire nation is being humiliated.
By the Iranian leadership.
So that would be us that he's suggesting would be humiliated, especially by these so called Revolutionary Guards.
Okay, so that was not really the wisest, most diplomatic thing to say at a time like this, was it, Fred?
No, You know, you should watch my show.
I might be able to give you some pointers.
Hey, really?
Like, Ursula, good move.
You came out and thanked him because he gave you an extension.
So, you know, You got a few more weeks to try and figure out how to get all that money together that you promised you were going to invest in the US of A, and he's holding you accountable.
I guess they're not used to that in Europe, being held accountable, you know?
They're going to have to turn their homework in on time.
Well, actually, technically, they already missed the deadline, so they're getting a little teeny tiny extension, but it's not going to be that long.
And so now they're all circling the wagons.
You had the German foreign minister going on Bloomberg, again, one of my former employers, today, and saying, well, you know, it just got misinterpreted.
Really, you know, it just came out wrong.
He didn't really mean to say that the IRGC was humiliating America.
What?
So, this talk about Iran being a humiliation for America, do you think that was a mistake?
No, I think it was unfortunately a big misunderstanding in what he was saying.
The very idea and the intention of the chancellor was to make to Iran absolutely clear that they should not.
Try to go this way and that they should not even try to humiliate the American president because, though it was not our advice to begin this very war, we are absolutely behind the United States in all what they are doing to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear weaponized power.
But isn't there a problem with that?
That Trump has read it in that way, so you've ended up with the troop withdrawal from Germany, not giving you the medium term missiles, and now.
Car tariffs, you know, are you negotiating on any of those things?
On all of these, and we are in a very close contact, especially with my dear colleague and I would call him friend, Marco Rubio.
We're in a close contact, the defense ministries are, the foreign ministers are, and of course, we will find a solution together.
Nine.
One of you guys said that.
That's good.
All right, so they're panicking.
All right, we're going to fix this.
We better fix this because the 25% tariffs, they're going to be really painful.
But again, Freddy, Fred Martz, decided to come out and slam the president and our negotiation.
I'm just going to tell you, we wouldn't be looking at all time highs.
I know the market suffered a little bit today, but we wouldn't be looking at all time highs in the stock market if, in fact, this was that humiliating.
Okay.
Everybody's actually really excited about this, except for, for whatever reason, Europe.
I guess they'll thank us later.
But Trump didn't appreciate this at all.
So 5,000 troops gone, plus the threat of 5,000 more.
Maybe all of them.
We have something like 36,000 over there.
Maybe we just take them all.
You guys say that you can provide for Europe and take care of Europe and you're going to lead the way on the defense front.
We may just say, terrific.
Go for it.
Because you screwed up.
They use these Strait of Hormuz.
We don't.
We don't use it.
We don't need it.
We have a lot of oil.
We do.
Well, wait a minute.
And they use it.
We don't.
And you would have thought they would have said, We would love to help you.
But they didn't, which I think was averse.
And Germany, I mean, he's doing a terrible job.
He's got immigration problems.
He's got energy problems.
He's got problems of all kinds.
And he's got a big problem with Ukraine because they're in that mess.
And he criticized me for doing the whole thing with Iran.
But I said, Would you like to have a nuclear weapon in the hands of Iran?
He said, No, I don't.
I said, well, then I guess I'm right.
He didn't have any answer to that.
I think we can all agree that we don't want to see an Iran with a nuclear weapon.
Like, that shouldn't be that controversial a thing to say.
I mean, the only people that seem to want a nuclear weapon for Iran would be Iran and a couple of declining has been podcasters, okay?
The three of them come to mind.
All right, that's it.
All right, everybody else, the entire world gets that you cannot have a nuclear Iran, but it's fine to say that.
You've got to actually be willing to have some skin in the game.
And that's where we keep coming back to these standoffs.
So the 25% tariffs, those are a big threat.
You got the 5,000 troops coming out, that's a big threat.
All of it is haunting one Georgia Maloney right now because Georgia's looking at it and saying, well, this could be me.
And yes, Georgia, it very well could be you.
Macron, meanwhile, I mean, this is like a circus over there.
I think they all need their own podcasts.
Macron, he is double crossing Donald Trump.
Did you see this?
So, yesterday he made this call to the Iran president and he tried to hijack the negotiations.
It was really weird.
All while he had a French container ship that he was trying to get through the Strait of Hormuz.
And amazingly, it got through.
So, the French container ship emerged from the Arabian Sea today.
After having been in the Persian Gulf and it was like the first crossing of any ship in quite some time, maybe he really is taking Donald Trump's advice.
Remember when Donald Trump said, Hey, just go get your oil, for goodness sakes?
Just go get it.
Go take it.
Maybe, maybe Macron's trying that one, but it's a little weird.
Just a little, you know, they actually went dark and they turned off all their signals, but that's usually not enough.
Like somebody would have spotted them.
So somehow I suspect Macron had a little deal up his sleeve and that's how he was able to do this.
Meanwhile, he is sending his.
Is Charles de Gaulle like his only carrier strike group over just as we announce mission complete?
Macron's Weird Oil Deal 00:06:22
Well, it's not entirely complete.
It's my understanding right now that the negotiations are very much up in the air, in part because Iran has just attacked U.S. warships.
A trio of U.S. warships fending off a series of attacks from Iranian missiles, drones, and attack boats have been reported right now by U.S. Central Command.
So It's hard to trust these guys.
It really is.
In part because of that mosaic structure that they set up with their military, and they get this one over here and that one over there, and nobody actually listens to anyone.
They don't have a central command.
And so it makes it very difficult to do these negotiations.
But I have a feeling it will be okay.
But just in case it's not, Macron is there ready, willing, but not able to do something.
He yesterday put out this tweet saying, quote, All parties must lift the blockade on the strait without delay and without conditions.
That would be us, too.
Okay, so suddenly he's on their side.
Like I said, who needs enemies when you got allies like this?
He's negotiating for them.
Without delay and without conditions, we must durably return to the regime of full freedom of navigation that prevailed before the conflict.
Okay, fine.
But you know what?
We have leverage.
I guess they think they have leverage as well, right?
And I would say our leverage is a little bit stronger because they've got a stockpile of all this oil.
That's like just brimming, right?
Like it's ready to flow over right into the Strait of Hormuz.
They have so much oil that they can't get out the door.
And so that's hurting.
And that's why this blockade is so smart.
And that's why when he says stuff like this, it's not flying.
I'm going to remind everybody the blockade is working.
The president reminded everyone to, speaking with reporters here, listen.
We're dealing with people that want to make a deal very much, and we'll see whether or not they can make a deal that's satisfactory to us.
We have it very much under control.
The blockade is unbelievable.
The Navy's been incredible.
The job they did, it's like a wall of steel.
Nobody goes through.
In particular, the Iranians, they're not getting anything through one way or the other, so they're out of business.
And we'll see whether or not they are agreeing.
And if they don't agree, they'll end up agreeing shortly thereafter.
So that's the way it is.
Hmm.
That is the way it is.
Okay, so the blockade's going to stay, Macron.
Wishful thinking on your part.
Actually, it's not wishful thinking.
It's not really smart.
I know you need your oil, okay?
Apparently, you just got some.
So quit complaining.
He's sending this Charles de Gaulle carrier.
It's actually probably coming up on, well, it's in the Red Sea, I believe, right now, but it's going to go through the Gulf of Aden, through the Arabian Sea, and then towards the Persian Gulf.
And I don't really know why he's sending it.
It's got a lot of cool stuff.
I guess we should be happy that he's sending it.
It's just a little awkward because while sending it, he's telling us to lay off the blockade.
We're not going to do that, Emmanuel.
You know, we're not like you.
We don't get pushed around by the lady of the house, right?
We're not like you.
And you can make these threats, but it kind of just goes into thin air and makes you look kind of bad.
That's his story.
You've got to stop the blockade, U.S., and then we'll get somewhere.
No, no, no.
That's not how it works.
Just not how it works, right?
If you agree with me, please make sure to subscribe.
I am watching your comments in real time here.
So thank you for all of that.
Carter, thanks for the generosity.
Much appreciated.
He said some macaroni is negotiating for the Islamic regime of Iran.
Well, I won't be going to France anytime soon.
Yeah, you know.
I think he's just negotiating perhaps for a short term view for himself.
He wants his oil.
That's his priority.
And he's not thinking about the long-term game.
Okay.
And there's a long-term thing going on.
And you've heard me explain this before.
Basically, the issue is we need all that oil.
We need all the oil in the world that we can get.
And we need it because we're setting up a very, like, amazing time in this economy.
And I know a lot of people are frightened by AI or don't like AI, whatever.
Like AI is here.
And if we don't have the energy to power it, we're going to be in a.
Very, very bad spot.
So, when you think of what could have happened, Kamala Harris won and she shut down all the drilling and she said, Here you go, you got a nuclear Iran.
What would have happened?
China would have been laughing all the way to the bank because guess who they're tight with?
Iran.
Iran would have been calling the shots and the rest of us wouldn't have had any energy other than whatever we could muster up right here.
By the way, China was hanging out in Venezuela as well, which has the Orinoco region with proven oil reserves that are larger than the oil reserves.
Of Saudi Arabia.
So I'm just saying, like, this was very important and it happened at a very critical time.
So I get it.
They're panicked, but you know what?
They just don't seem to have the foresight that they need to have.
And maybe it's the socialism stuff.
You know, maybe life has just been too damn easy for them.
You know who needs to move to Europe?
Alexandria Ocasio Cortez.
Because her latest comments sound like, you know, she could be the queen of Europe right now.
I want to get to that.
Quick shout out for my other company, 76 Research.
We've done very well.
I encourage you to go check out all of those portfolios there at 76 Research today.
We have three of them.
You look at all those sectors on the screen.
We've done very, very well.
It's a good time.
It's a good time to be investing.
Moving forward, 76research.com.
AOC Moves to Europe 00:03:06
New York City has been getting a wake-up call.
Okay?
I'm telling you, like, there's a reason we left Europe, a really big reason.
And they're finding this out.
A teeny bit too late because it could have real significant impacts on their economy for years to come.
Everybody's fleeing now.
Nobody who has a business there wants to be there.
Anybody who can leave is leaving.
And it's because of one guy who's got some nasty rhetoric and some stupid, stupid world views.
And you know how I know they're stupid?
Because trust me, communism has been tried over and over and over and over and over again.
You know, everybody thinks it sounds great.
What do they figure out?
At some point, it turns into, well, exactly what you're trying to get away from, right?
Because only one class of people has money in those kind of environments.
And we've seen it, whether it be Russia, whether it be Vietnam, whether it be what happened in Venezuela, which was the best modern-day example of this.
And now Ma'am Dami is trying to bring it to New York, and we're seeing it in New York, too.
But you know what?
New Yorkers are leaving.
They are like, see ya.
Adios.
Auf Wiedersehen.
Arrivederci.
We're out of here.
Ken Griffin, who's a billionaire, he started Citadel.
He's a super, super, super smart investor.
For some reason, Mam Dami wants to pick on anybody who's bringing money into New York and creating value in New York.
And he did this whole commercial.
Did you guys see this?
Outside this poor guy's house.
This guy is like, you know.
Creates a lot of value and pays a lot of taxes in New York.
And Mamdami decided to do this.
Zoram Mamdani, remember that video from the mayor?
While Ken Griffin is reacting after the Democrat Socialists singled him out in that viral video announcing a new tax on second homes.
It was creepy and weird.
Agreed.
I mean, like, knock, knock, knock on the window.
Like, huh.
Mayor of New York City.
On the screen, yeah.
Yeah, on the screen.
Like, how many times have you watched that video?
Three.
Like, you literally look at the first time and you're like, you gotta be kidding me.
Okay?
And then the second time, you're like, you know what?
This is actually.
This has gone from creepy to actually not really creepy.
This has gone to frightening because the CEO of United Healthcare was killed just a few blocks from my house.
And anything that creates an agitation in the extremist on either side of the aisle is a frightening dynamic.
I mean, if we look at what happened in DC.
Yeah.
All right.
So, like common sense would tell you, you shouldn't be trying to drive this wedge between people.
And I'm just going to say, like, Mandami, without him, you're losing a lot of money.
City-Owned Grocery Stores 00:13:08
And you know what?
He's not the only one leaving.
Everybody who can is.
And we're talking about people who pay a lot of taxes and companies that pay a lot of taxes.
And he's out of there.
He's hightailing it to Miami, to Florida, where it's sunny and there are no taxes.
They're even talking about getting rid of the real estate tax down there.
Way to go, DeSantis.
And you've got a group of people in charge that are like adults and not.
Academic wannabes.
Here's Ken Griffin saying he's out of there.
So, where does that leave us at 350 Park?
That leaves us with the fact that we went to Miami and revised our building plan to make it a bigger office building.
You're bailing?
He's bailing.
So, what do we do at 350 is still a point of discussion internally, but what is no longer a point of discussion is that Miami is now, you know, when we moved from Chicago, there was a debate between New York and Miami.
It's unquestionably true that we made the right choice.
I'll leave it at that.
It's unquestionably true that we made the right choice.
And now, what the mayor of New York has made clear to my partners, and principally my New York partners, is that we need to double down on our bet in Miami because we want to be in a state that embraces business, that embraces education, that embraces personal freedom and liberty.
And that embraces people having an opportunity to live the American dream.
So true, right?
So true.
By the way, I should point out this particular segment is brought to you by our wonderful, wonderful partner, Kirk Elliott Precious Metals.
Go check them out, kepm.com, if you're interested in buying gold or silver, which you know how much I love my precious metals.
Anyway, we thank them for their support.
You know, Mamdami's figuring out, though, all of a sudden, like he's got no money.
Everybody's leaving, and this Ken Griffin leaving is going to be a huge hit.
I mean, you've got everybody saying, I'm going to open up in Miami.
University of Miami, it's like the new NYU.
NYU is a pretty good school.
No more, right?
Everybody's leaving.
Everybody.
And they're doing it to themselves.
It's like, gosh, darn it.
Wow.
You stupid, stupid, stupid man, you stupid people.
Here he is finally figuring out he's got no money for those grocery stores.
Hmm.
New York City faces a budget crisis of a historic magnitude.
We inherited a deficit larger than any since the Great Recession.
Years of mismanagement and chronic under budgeting, alongside a structural imbalance between what New York City sends to the state and what we receive in return, have taken a toll.
We cannot close this deficit with savings alone.
We need new revenue, and we need a structural reset in our relationship with the state.
That is the only way to meet our legal obligation to pass a balanced budget, and to do so without imposing a financial burden onto the backs of working people.
I'm glad to partner with Speaker Menon as we call upon Albany and deliver a balanced budget.
Together, We are extending the executive budget deadline from this coming Friday until May 12th because a crisis of this scale cannot be solved without state action.
I want to be clear.
We are not simply asking others to act.
New York City is doing our part.
We are committed to governing with the fiscal responsibility this moment demands.
Speaker Menon and I have already identified meaningful savings, and we will continue that work carefully, deliberately, and without cutting the services that New Yorkers rely on.
But we cannot do it alone.
That is why we are standing together this morning to underscore what is at stake and to call on Albany to deliver additional revenue.
From what?
Like, how are they going to get this?
Higher taxes.
Okay.
Higher taxes, which is actually going to send more and more people leaving.
Yeah.
Like, no, what are you going to be?
It's going to turn into Detroit.
Yeah.
I mean, if this keeps up, it is going to be the next Detroit.
Top 1%.
Of all earners in America, they pay somewhere around 40% of all taxes.
Bottom 50%, they pay zero.
So when he sits there and tells you, hardworking Americans, yeah, that pay all this, no, they're not paying anything.
Okay, ma'am Dami?
Half the country is paying literally nothing.
The top, what is it, 10%?
They're paying overwhelmingly the majority of taxes in this country.
So I'm getting kind of sick of this stupid math from stupid people.
He's just so upset he can't have all his grocery stores tomorrow, right?
Food.
I mean, I think he thinks that money grows on trees, that nobody deserves to have much of anything, that government should own it all.
I know, I know he thinks this way.
It's just sort of mind boggling and really irritating.
He and his little, you know, wifey.
She's a sight.
Miss Israel, I've been up with her in a coffee shop this past week.
Oh, that was.
Let's just say, she is a sight.
And she's got a very, very foul Twitter account.
Anyway, Mamdami is upset because he doesn't have any grocery stores now.
He's working on it.
Ken Griffin yesterday was speaking about calling your video again.
He called it creepy and weird.
And he said that, again, that you targeting him has just been very unfair.
And he said that he's going to be doubling down his investments in Florida rather than New York City.
And so I just wanted to get your take.
What sort of conversations have you had with him since that video?
Have you spoken with him?
And what sort of concerns are you having when it comes to potential job losses?
Are you looking at ways to, I guess, build up?
And your economic development commissioner, have you thought about who you're going to appoint yet?
Thank you.
Thank you.
So I'll first just start by saying that I want all New Yorkers to succeed.
That includes business owners and entrepreneurs who create good paying jobs, who make this city the economic engine, not just of our state, but frankly of our country.
And that also includes Ken Griffin, who is a major employer.
In our city.
That does not negate the fact, however, that our tax system is fundamentally broken.
It rewards extreme wealth while working people are pushed to the brink.
It is a status quo that is unsustainable, that is unjust.
And if we want the city to be one that working people can actually afford to live in, then we need meaningful tax reform that includes the wealthiest New Yorkers paying their fair share.
Their fair share, they pay all of it.
And you know what?
You can't even send your kids to school in New York.
You can't because the schools are so lousy because they just keep throwing more and more and more money at it and they don't get anything back.
It is a disaster.
I can't tell you how happy I am that I left back in, was it 2018, 2017?
I was so delighted to get out of there.
I mean, it is, it was bad then and it's really bad now.
I did mention those grocery stores, right?
Yeah, he's not getting those, at least not the way he wanted.
He opened one teeny teeny little grocery store up in Harlem, I guess, this week and he's like, woohoo, just watch.
We will use government to respond to rising prices and unaffordable groceries.
Since the pandemic, grocery prices have gone up and they haven't come back down.
Between 2013 and 2023, grocery prices increased in New York City by nearly 66%, significantly higher than the national average.
During our campaign, we promised New Yorkers that we would create a network of city-owned grocery stores, one in each borough.
And we are here today to celebrate the site of the Manhattan Store La Manqueta, which will be open by 2029.
Woohoo!
Thanks to the New York Post for that clip.
I'll just tell you, you know what?
Everybody's leaving.
So, all those little grocery stores that you want, like they're just not going to happen.
None of this makes any sense.
I want to go to Kirk Elliott.
Dr. Kirk Elliott, PhD.
Go to kepm.com forward slash Trish.
You know, show me some love.
Show me some love.
Especially if you want gold or silver.
This is the place to do it.
They sell the real stuff.
Anyway, my team sat down.
With Dr. Kirk Elliott.
Dr. Kirk, as we call him, smart, smart guy, kind of thinks the way I do on some of this capitalism versus communist stuff.
Let's listen.
The government isn't good at really lowering anything except for standards of living, right?
So when Mandami basically says we're going to have city owned grocery stores and we're finally going to make groceries affordable for everybody, I think that's like, Okay, how are you going to make groceries affordable?
What makes groceries expensive?
Inflation, right?
So, when you print money like there's no tomorrow, whether it's here in America or all over the world, it causes prices to go up.
So, not just on the resale side, it also causes prices to go up on the cost of goods sold.
The wholesalers, the manufacturers, they have these high prices.
So, when you basically say, we're going to have a grocery store with cheap stuff, It's like, what is he thinking?
How is this going to be paid for?
How are you going to entice the Kellogg's and the General Mills and the producers of the world to actually have lower prices?
You can't because that's a macroeconomic element that has to do with inflation.
So here's how he's going to do it.
He's going to say, we're going to offer cheap groceries.
But if you live in New York, watch out because nothing free grows on trees.
We are going to tax the living daylights out of you to provide cheaper groceries.
Right.
And that's why everybody leaves.
That's exactly why everybody leaves.
You know, it's not that hard.
There's a reason why we are the most prosperous nation on earth, and it's thanks to good old fashioned capitalism.
I realize it's not perfect, okay?
Nothing's perfect.
But I'll tell you, it's the best darn system we got.
And Dr. Kirk knows it too.
Yeah, you know, what drives prosperity?
It's not Washington.
Nope.
It's not even companies.
It's us.
Exactly.
Because without us spending money, there is no prosperity, because then the companies wouldn't make any money.
So, the only way to actually have a prosperous economy is to have a well managed company.
How do you well manage a company?
It's not by controlling prices, right?
That's what the government tries to do just to simply get votes.
That's different than a smart business person.
That is an entity trying to get votes by giving the voting public the most out of the public treasury that they can, right?
And then that's this vicious cycle that keeps going on, which is why you ultimately have an entitlement society.
See, the best way, though, for everybody, for all the boats to go up with the rising tide is to get government interference out of everything, out of everything.
Have free choice, have free markets.
Then the companies that are overcharging will go out of business naturally, right?
And the ones that have competitive, good products at good prices, they will thrive.
And that's what we as consumers want.
And that's what grows the economy.
Exactly, exactly, exactly.
Go check them out.
They'll give you your own person to help you.
Again, I am a big believer in diversification.
Gold and silver is part of that.
They only sell the real stuff, the bullion.
Anyway, go check that out when you can.
But we do appreciate all of their support there because this is good to have their support.
But these are important conversations to have.
And I'm thrilled that we can have them.
You agree, right?
Like this communism stuff.
I'm like, what?
is going on that they're so enamored with this.
I think they figured out that it's politically expedient.
AOC is taking a page right out of Obama's book.
AOC guys saying some really nutty stuff on a podcast.
Nutty even for her.
I mean, she's like melting down.
Oh my God.
The Virtue of Risk 00:03:51
How dare there be a billionaire?
We better outlaw them, right?
How dare?
How dare?
And by the way, if you're white, you had nothing to do.
With the creation of this democracy.
It's really, really nutty.
But she's nutty, okay?
None of these people are rocket scientists, all right?
Let's go to AOC.
And I'm gonna set the record straight on this little chica.
There's a certain level of wealth and accumulation that is unearned, right?
You can't earn.
A billion dollars.
That's right.
You just can't earn that.
That's exactly correct.
You can, you can get market power, you can break rules, you can do all sorts of things, you can abuse labor laws, you can pay people less than what they're worth, but you can't earn that right, and so you have to create a myth that, since you didn't earn that, you have to create a myth of earning it Wow.
You didn't earn it.
Did you hear that?
You know, anybody who employs five people, 10 people, thousands of people, hundreds of thousands of people, they didn't earn that.
No, You know, anybody who created a product that is used by millions, anybody who created a product that is used by millions and now pays billions of dollars in taxes, thereby helping to grow the U.S. economy, they didn't earn it.
No, no.
You see, guys, here's the fundamental difference between these crazy socialist communists and actual capitalists, which is what we are in America and what we were founded on.
Socialists see wealth.
If you would, as something that was stolen.
Because they don't believe in the creation of wealth, period.
In America, we understand and we always have understood that it's created and must be protected.
It's the entire reason the country was set up.
I mean, the beauty, right, of our Constitution, the foresight of our founding fathers, they got that if you invent something, if you build something, if you're willing to risk it all, risk everything.
And you work your whole life with no guarantees, no guarantees at all.
And millions of people actually go out there and they buy your stuff voluntarily, right?
Because it's a good freaking product.
I got my Apple iPhone right here, the orange edition, right?
Apparently everybody likes that.
I thought it was pretty.
You know, you're going to earn an amazing, enormous amount of money, as you should.
That's how we were set up.
I mean, nobody forced me to buy the iPhone.
I bought the iPhone because I like it better than any other phone right now.
Forces you to use Amazon.
It's just convenient and cheap.
And she doesn't think these people deserve to make the money, that you can't earn a billion dollars.
Nobody forces investors to invest.
I mean, all of this is a fortuitous cycle of capitalism that is a tremendous and I would say virtuous cycle because we're creating something, right?
We are actually creating something.
This is not theft, this is creation.
It's Innovation and it's American, it's sort of uniquely American, and frankly, it's one of the reasons America has become the greatest country on earth.
Creating Wealth Not Theft 00:07:04
I'll tell you, we were set up this way.
You know how I know we were set up this way.
You think back, and my background is actually in early American history, and I spent a lot of time studying the economics of early American history, which is why things like the 1619 Project.
I'm sure Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, the next soundbot I'm going to show you, it sounds like it came straight out of 1619.
It's a bunch of bogus garbage.
They actually say crazy stuff like, oh, you know what?
This is one of the guys who's arguing that somehow the U.S. economy, it actually reached all this greatness because of slavery, right?
It's on the backs of slaves.
And I'm like, no, no.
Actually, if you knew anything about American history, U.S. American economic history, you would actually know that our economy didn't take off until we left that agricultural society behind, until we left slavery behind.
And it was actually all the innovation.
That came from all the automation and the factories, et cetera.
That's what actually led to America being a much more prosperous nation.
But they present this stuff like it's fact.
It would drive you nuts.
I was like, why am I reading this?
You know, because I like to understand the other side.
I think it's actually kind of important to at least get inside their heads and see what they're thinking.
But, you know, our founding fathers, they got it.
They really, really got it.
And just think about it's the 250th anniversary of this country.
I want to show you something here.
Let me see if I can pull it up.
And, you know, my friends over at AFP have been celebrating all year.
I was actually down in North Carolina with them.
Oh, it was so great.
I had a wonderful time.
And my son was there with me and he got to sign a replica of the Constitution.
He loved it.
And it's all about taking one small step forward.
And that's what our founding fathers did.
And, you know, they were thinking innovatively, but they put one in front of the other and they did something about it.
And I just loved it.
I mean, it was such a terrific experience.
They have these things going on all over the country.
They're free, by the way, totally free.
So go check them out at a250toolkit.com forward slash Trish.
You know, you think about all the wonderful, this is Patrick Henry that we're honoring here on the website, but you can click on any of these guys and they have games for the kids.
Things for the adults, too.
I just can't say enough good stuff about this.
I was blown away and I felt so patriotic.
And importantly for my little guy, you know, it was good for him to see that because this is what people were willing to do back in 1775, right?
With Patrick Henry saying, Give me liberty or give me death.
Just tremendous.
And then you got, so please go to a250toolkit.com forward slash Trish.
And then you got these bumpkins like, This AOC who somehow thinks you can't earn money, that that must be fraudulent.
What a terrible person she is, really.
I mean, it's so unbelievably anti American.
It feels almost sacrilegious to be like that.
But this is who she is.
Like I said, she ought to move to Europe or Venezuela.
Oh, no, she can't move to Venezuela anymore because there's good things happening in Venezuela right now.
Anyway, here she is telling you why people like me.
Have not contributed to democracy in America.
Watch.
There are very few, like, real archetypes of, in my opinion, truly what America is all about.
I think about the civil rights and voting rights movement and how black Americans really created democracy in this country.
That's exactly right.
How they literally made something from nothing.
It is just beyond me.
I think about how, like, Native people have survived and preserved and treasured their culture.
I think about, and I think many of us think about immigrants, which, if you aren't from one of those first two populations, you are certainly from largely the third.
And so many of us, like, Have our story of our parents, our grandparents, our great great grandparents, and so on and so forth.
And who like come and make something from nothing.
And I think that's a big part of also the most inspiring elements of what America is all about.
David Lorenzo, he wants to know who the moron is interviewing her that's like, yeah, I agree with everything that you're saying.
I don't know who the moron is, nor do I care to know.
But AOC is definitely a moron.
And look, kind of racist in her own way.
I'm going to just tell you, listen, America was not built by one race, one ethnicity, or one class.
It was built by generations of Americans from all different kinds of walks of life, including immigrants, including Black Americans, including Native Americans, including, yeah, White European types, including entrepreneurs, workers, farmers, inventors, soldiers, everyone, you know, we all collectively and families come together to build this country.
All of us.
So don't sit there and tell me that everybody else deserves a place on the stage when I am going to tell you the genius of this country is that we give that opportunity to everyone.
All right?
We do.
We allow everyone equal opportunity.
Listen, there are things like luck, right?
And there are things like intelligence.
And, you know, you got to work hard.
We're not handing out anything unless you live in the state of Minnesota and happen to have a connection to Ilhan Omar and her husband.
But the idea is you come here, you contribute, you work hard, you build something.
And everyone can participate in that.
And democracy, I'm just going to say, it came from the Constitution.
Thank you very much.
Thank you to our wonderful founding fathers for creating that spectacular document.
You think about Europe.
I mean, you couldn't own property in Europe back in the day.
You couldn't own your own invention.
You came up with a great idea.
You wanted to patent it.
Forget it.
Because guess what?
The noble in that area owned everything you did.
Okay, that's the Europeans for you.
You want to know why they have no upward mobility in Europe?
Because of that.
They got the legacy of all that crap.
America's Property Legacy 00:01:42
Hola.
And we don't.
Because we had smart people.
people that came here with smart ideas and wanted to set up a different system.
So when you listen to the trash talk of AOC and Zorhan Mamdami and they want to go back to a system that would antiquate us and take us back to a society that none of us would want to see, just remember what you'd be giving up and how hard generations of people have worked to get us Where we are.
If you agree with that, you gotta subscribe.
I'm fired up tonight, right?
I'm really fired up.
You know, it's good to see you.
All of you guys here, last Boy Scout here.
You're welcome, Olivia.
You're welcome, Olivia.
Listen, I occasionally get a little emotional when I talk about America, and it may be having just been down in North Carolina at this wonderful event with my son and all the great people at Americans for Prosperity.
But I will say that, you know, this is pretty damn.
Fantastic, wonderful, spectacular country with so much opportunity.
And if it weren't for that opportunity, I wouldn't be here today.
It's all this innovation that makes this all possible.
So thank you for all you do to make this show a success.
Please tell your friends.
Please remember to subscribe.
Go check me out on Spotify as well.
Leave a comment, give a thumbs up, and I'll see you hopefully a little bit earlier.
Earlier, I almost said later.
No, no, earlier tomorrow.
See you then.
