Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass faces potential 17-year imprisonment after confronting ICE agents at MacArthur Park, an incident the host compares to LaMonica McGyver's charges for breaching a detention center. The discussion expands to New York Council member Zohran Mamdani, whom the host condemns as a "socialist" for proposing defunding ICE, prompting Donald Trump's threat to withhold funds if Mamdani wins. While clips of Hakeem Jeffries and Ron DeSantis debate immigration rhetoric, the segment also covers a Supreme Court ruling revoking 532,000 visas from Nicaragua, Haiti, Venezuela, and Cuba, framing these events as a state versus federal civil war that threatens property rights under the Fifth Amendment. La Monica 2.0 Immigration Drama00:15:18
And we're live.
Good to have you guys here as always.
We got a lot going on over on the lefty westy coast, for goodness sakes.
Karen Bass, wow, like we didn't know you had it in yet, right?
I mean, she's trying to like channel La Monica 2.0 or something kind of crazy like that.
I think, I think to just see guys what's going on, we're going to get into all that because she like went straight to the park, tried to confront the officers herself.
I don't know what they're trying to do, but it feels increasingly like a state versus federal civil war of sorts, dare I say.
Yeah, I will say, okay, so we're going to get into all of that.
Plus, we've got Netanyahu visiting the president, and guess what came up?
That socialist, actually communist, in NYC who wants to decommodify housing and actually take from you to give to them.
This is like the trend in the Democrat Party you see these days, all as they try to defund ICE.
Hakeem Jeffries out on The View saying exactly that.
I'm going to play you the clip.
We got a lot to get into right now because this is just wild.
I'm telling you, Karen Bass channeling LaMonica, the Los Angeles mayor.
She's getting sued and she may just actually find herself being indicted and facing up to 17 years because you don't do stuff like this.
But, you know, Karen's trying to push her weight around.
Not as much to push, but she's doing her best.
Here she is taking off yesterday afternoon for the park, MacArthur Park, where they had ICE agents.
Trying to round up people that are here illegally.
It was believed that there were some gang members, et cetera, there.
It is kind of a lousy place, by the way.
That park, just in general, it's not exactly where the kids go to play soccer, like Gavin Newsom wants you to think.
It is not exactly where the kids go to play on the playground.
It has become infested with all the kinds of things you don't want, right, in a park.
But anyway, lots of drugs and horrible stuff like that.
Here's Karen coming to the rescue.
What is that, like a flute or something in the background that they're playing?
You can see she's got all the media around her because she has to, right?
She's going to make this into an opportunity any which way she can.
And so Karen's there to say, I'm in charge.
I'm going to fix this all for you.
I'm going to get it all sorted out.
Except it didn't really go down that way.
In fact, it may have backfired spectacularly, similar to what we saw with La Monica, La Monica MacGyver, there in Newark, New Jersey.
Here's Karen Bass.
Yelling about how she's going to fix all this.
I am going to say, Mayor Bass, I need to get my phone and we're departing.
Mayor Bass?
Mayor Bass.
Any comment, Mayor Bass?
Thank you.
Mayor Bass, any comment?
Yes, my comment is they need to leave and they need to leave right now.
They need to leave because this is unacceptable.
Who did you speak with?
Mayor Bass, who did you speak with on the phone just now?
Who did you speak with on the phone?
The head of customs.
Wow.
Hmm, they need to leave.
They need to leave now.
They need to leave because it is all just so unacceptable.
She's really picking a fight here with the feds.
She did send out, she tweeted out a little bit of video saying like how inappropriate this was because they were out there on horses, heavily armed federal agents doing what she was classifying as some kind of immigration sweep.
And she was really unhappy about that.
And she said as soon as she heard this, she had to jump into action.
So you see, well, you know, they are there on horses, making their presence quite known, shall we say.
And as soon as she got wind of this, she said she was jumping into action.
She was coming to the rescue.
And that's when she went down there and she said, stop, stop.
You got to get out of here now.
And I'm not so sure that they bought it, right?
They kind of just continued on with what was happening.
And so now Karen may find herself in a situation very similar to LaMonica MacGyver, who's now facing up to 17 years in prison.
Of course, Karen.
Just said a lot of stuff which is a little different than what La Monica did, right?
Well, we know that right, because La Monica was actually really pushing the weight around, quite literally.
So this is the video that you've seen a zillion times, but I keep playing it because it's just really something to see.
She's pushing her way through the crowd because she wants to break through into the Delancey, the Delancey Detention Center there in Newark, New Jersey.
The idea being that she's going to make sure that everything is just great for people who have committed crimes and are here illegally, and she's going to come to the rescue.
And so that was the reason LaMonica was doing that.
And she got caught, of course.
She's facing now 17 years, similar to what we might actually see there in LA with Karen Best.
Don't forget, the DOJ is already suing her.
So she's already in a whole bunch of trouble.
LaMonica, of course, still has not woken up.
She still doesn't understand how they could possibly.
Arrest a congresswoman like LaMonica McGyver.
Like, she's untouchable, apparently.
Yes.
What was it like to be in the courtroom?
I mean, there was a mix of emotions to be there.
I mean, obviously, you know, this is a crazy situation.
I never thought I would be facing charges as a sitting congresswoman.
It's a scary situation, too, because I'm thinking of my mom.
I'm thinking of my mom who was there with me, who's like stressed out about this, right?
That's what I'm stressed out about.
Correct.
When they're saying that you're going to face 17 years in prison.
I'm thinking about my daughter, who's nine years old.
I'm thinking about my husband, my family.
And it's like, oh my God, this is awful.
But at the same time, it's like, I'm not going to stop doing my job because I know why I was there and I know why I'm being attacked.
And so, definitely just a mix of emotions during that period of time.
And at the same time, I was happy to see it moving, you know, going through the process that it's going through today.
Obviously, I pleaded not guilty because I'm not guilty.
And I'm looking forward to the next time being there and having the facts all laid out and really getting through this process because it's also stressful.
right?
I mean, at the same time, I'm leading, I'm doing the work of the people.
Oh, and then she goes on to tell you how expensive it is, too.
So, you know, if you want to cough up a few bucks, go for it.
You know, I'm just saying, LaMonica, if it was going to be that stressful, maybe you should have thought of that before you got out there and did what you did, because I actually see this as actually violating the law.
I mean, call me old fashioned.
Call me old fashioned, but that, you know, doesn't look like something a sitting U.S. representative from Congress ought to be doing, all right?
Now, you know, Karen Bass, she went down there and she spouted off a few words because she wants to try and make it look like something.
I mean, La Monica's actually physically, you know, pushing her way through.
So they have something in common, but still different.
At this point, however, though, you're still looking at the possible impediment of law enforcement, right?
That's the issue to the point where, you know, in LA, they got to actually bring in horses, people on horseback.
I mean, they, you can't go in there, by the way, as a single ICE officer, given what we know is happening, right?
You consider what happened in Texas just yesterday and the horror there and all the pressure that ICE officers are under.
You can't go in there as like one or two guys because there's potentially some bad stuff that can happen.
So perhaps that's one of the reasons they did this, or maybe they did actually want to be.
Making it known to the state of California, hey, California, we're in charge when it comes to immigration.
And the fact that you're sanctuary, that doesn't matter anymore because there's this little thing called the Constitution and we are in charge of naturalization.
Yeah, and we also got jurisdiction over you through the Commerce Clause, through the Supremacy Clause, through a whole lot of clauses, all right?
And so you can forget about it, but they sent these horses.
Yeah.
All right.
I mean, it's something to see, right?
There's a lot of horses there.
And so the Los Angeles mayor decided to pick this fight with the feds.
And I'm just going to say it's really not a fight that you're going to win.
And we know you're not going to win because, hey, just look at LaMonica, who is getting indicted.
She tried to pick that fight and she's also not winning.
But again, LaMonica being really, really brazen about it.
In Karen's case, she's just saying a few things, but it almost doesn't matter.
I'm still going to say this.
If you're impeding law enforcement, are you impeding law enforcement?
I'm starting to sound like Tom Omen, right?
When he's going after AOC.
If you're impeding law enforcement, that's actually kind of a problem.
I mean, if you're La Monica and you're doing this, it's a bigger problem.
Just ask Trisha McLaughlin over at DHS.
We should let viewers know there will likely be more arrests coming.
We actually have body camera footage of some of these members of Congress assaulting our ICE enforcement officers, including body slamming a female ICE officer.
So we will be showing that to viewers very shortly.
And you say a video of members of Congress.
Body slamming ICE officials?
That's correct, sir.
It's disgusting.
Okay, and so if you have that video, are you suggesting that members of Congress will be arrested who were there yesterday?
This is an ongoing investigation, and that is definitely on the table.
Who has the video?
ICE does, and we will be releasing that very shortly.
Okay.
Let's talk about okay.
So here's my question.
Knowing that Alina Hava charged LaMonica with, one, assaulting, two, impeding, three, interfering with law enforcement, a violation of Title 18 U.S. Code, Section 111A1, couldn't the Los Angeles mayor actually also be charged with maybe not assaulting, but impeding and interfering with law enforcement?
And if so, is she running the risk of 17 years in the Slammer if she's convicted?
Of that.
I mean, it's a big if, of course, whether or not she's convicted of it.
But again, you've got to remember that you can't actually stop this from happening, as Christine Nome so brilliantly said.
And you know what?
Obama said the exact same thing.
Exact same thing.
It sounds a little better coming from Christine.
She looks a little better, too, right?
My only question to you, I'd say a question back to you, is which laws in the United States should be enforced and which ones shouldn't?
I mean, my job, here's the deal, guys.
My job is not to pick and choose which laws we enforce and which ones we don't.
We have laws in this country and they matter.
If you want the law changed, go to Congress.
When's the last time you went to Capitol Hill and told your senator or representative to change it?
That's what they need to do.
This is the perfect time for Congress to make a decision on how they want people in this country to be able to have an opportunity to come here legally and to fix this.
But you know what?
That's not actually happening, right?
And so instead, they just want to take the law into their own hands.
And you can't do that.
You're the United States of America for a reason.
We have a constitution and the federal government has certain powers because of this.
Which is why, you know, you look at Mendani, one of these names, I'm going to get his name right, Mom, we didn't even spell it right.
Sorry.
Sorry, not sorry.
Anyway, he's threatening the guy, Mamdani, because, you know, he's threatening him that, you know, if you actually decide to go through with some of your promises, which include defunding ICE, literally, that's what he said, and ending all cooperation with ICE, then, you know what?
The federal government's not going to give you any money.
He talked about that with Netanyahu last night.
We'll get to that in a second.
But first, listen to this guy with his nonsense speaking on CNN about how he's going to stand in the way of the federal government just trying to do their job.
It's back in the public sector.
All right.
So you caught a lot of attention for confronting Tom Homan, Trump's Borders Are, about the deportation policies, which have a lot of impact here in New York.
Here you are.
So that moment went viral.
All right.
Then after the primary, Holman was asked about your plan, which is on your website.
You said that you would end the city's cooperation with ICE agents that has been going on under Mayor Adams.
And he has spoken out.
Here's what he said.
Good luck with that.
Dougal Law jumps him every day, every hour, every minute.
We're going to be in New York City.
Game on.
We're coming.
Game on.
He's coming.
What do you say?
That I'm going to be here to stand up and fight back.
And unlike the current mayor, I'm not going to be working alongside the Trump administration to build the single largest deportation force in American history.
I'm going to actually represent each and every New Yorker.
And that includes immigrant New Yorkers.
And that means standing up for the laws of this city, like our sanctuary city policies, which have kept New Yorkers safe for decades and were defended by Republicans and Democrats alike for years until we got this mayor who fear mongered about them so extensively.
Does that involve the NYPD?
It means that the NYPD would actually serve New Yorkers and not assist ICE in their operations.
We recently saw ICE agents that would not assist ICE.
Not assisting ICE because ultimately their job is public safety.
And I know officers who are signing up to take on serious crimes, not to be a part of the force that is arresting a pastor who's peacefully observing the arrest of a migrant at Federal Plaza.
All right.
So a moment ago, you talked about how you didn't know if you'd get 50,000 votes.
Okay.
I get to jump in because this guy actually wants some kind of civil war.
That's what he wants.
And it actually gels with what we're seeing out of L.A. with Karen Bass.
Like, what are they actually trying to do?
What do they want?
What is the angle?
Okay, we're going to sit here with our sanctuary city policy.
Mind you, like, maybe it did work however many years ago, but that was before Biden.
That was PB, pre-Biden, before you had 20 million people coming in here and nobody knew, like, where they were, what they were doing, and whether they were a national security risk or not, or whether they were a financial economic risk for the country because you got to take care of people, right?
But kids have to go to school.
You know the drill.
So, if they were just burying all these people in, like we get a very different economic picture, do we not?
Today than we did, say, four years ago.
But I'll tell you, Trump has a little word for this guy.
You try this, buddy, and guess what?
Mr. President, your beloved New York City, your beloved New York City may well be led by a communist soon, Zorhan Mandami, who in his nomination speech said he will defy ICE and will not allow ICE to arrest criminal aliens in New York City.
Your message to communist Zorhan Mandami?
Well, then we'll have to arrest him.
Okay.
Yeah, he might just have to arrest him.
Border Patrol Rhetoric Escalates00:13:35
Unbelievable.
Listen, it goes back to the naturalization clause, and I'm just going to keep repeating this every day because it's important we understand.
Article 1, Section.
Eight clause four.
It's like nobody actually studies the Constitution or civics anymore.
The Congress shall have the power to establish a uniform rule of naturalization.
And guess what that means?
It means the Congress has the authority to determine who's going to become a citizen and by implication, who's going to enter the country, who's going to remain in the country.
And the Supreme Court has backed up the Trump administration on this.
So at present, here's where we stand.
Karen Bass wants to throw a fit and impede law enforcement.
Well, guess what's happening?
The Trump administration, the DOJ is suing Karen Bass and Los Angeles.
She may actually find herself in even more trouble for that little stunt yesterday.
You've got the New York City mayor prospect, he hasn't won yet, who's talking about doing exactly the same thing.
So he's also going to find himself in a whole bunch of trouble.
They're going to sue him.
They're going to take it a step further.
They're going to arrest him.
Meanwhile, you get Democrats out there that are talking about defunding ICE.
I mean, this is the newest and greatest plan.
I mean, they got this wild plan.
They want to defund ICE.
Oh, just like they wanted to defund the police.
That went really, really well, right?
Hakeem Jeffries appearing on that really horrible show that hopefully you only watch here when I show you clips.
And you know the only reason I do this is because it's very important to understand the other side.
But Hakeem actually saying that they're looking into this.
What are you guys talking about?
You're going to defund ICE?
You're going to defund the federal government's enforcement action?
I mean, this is getting wild, okay?
Wild.
Jeffries, you wear many hats, and one of your jobs is to try to win back the House for Democrats.
I mean, we were talking about immigration before we went to break.
Now, some Democrats, amid the criticisms of ICE right now to do these ICE raids, have started calling for defunding ICE.
Do you think that's effective going into the midterms, and do you support those calls?
Well, I definitely think that, you know, we need aggressive oversight as it relates to the overly aggressive behavior that we've seen, you know, from ICE, from the Department of Homeland Security.
It's not what the American people actually, in my view, Voted for.
Donald Trump and Republicans promised to go after violent felons, but instead they're going after law abiding immigrant families.
And in fact, in some cases, deporting American citizens and children.
Okay, that's actually just a lie, right?
Like now they're just flat out lying.
So they're talking about defunding because apparently that's the logical place to go.
Just defund ICE and that'll fix all your problems.
Who were these suspects who were fired?
who actually fired the shots and were later arrested.
Who were they, Tom?
Look, they're your typical protesters that go from protesters to criminals.
The attack on ICE officers, you've covered it many times, is up nearly 700%.
Now, we were talking 500% a couple weeks ago, so it continues.
The rhetoric against the men and women of ICE is skyrocketing, especially by members of Congress.
We have senators, we have Congress people that compare ICE to the Nazis, compare ICE to racists.
And it just continues.
So the public thinks, well, if a member of Congress can attack ICE, why can't we?
So the rhetoric has to stop.
Or it's a matter of time for someone to, you know, one of the ICE officers goes down or a criminal goes down.
We already see it.
It's a big deal, right?
That's a big deal.
And you're hearing it over and over and over again.
You have heard this terrible rhetoric and you've heard it from a multitude of players.
I'm going to play one of the worst for you because it's just important to understand sort of the genesis of where it's coming from.
But, you know, Chuck Schumer says it.
It may be in a sort of a fancier way.
You've heard other people say it in fancier ways, but let's just get down to basics, okay?
Joy Reid is telling you what they really think.
I had to forget about him, but Ron DeSantis is still governor of Florida.
He took the comfy couch hosts on a tour of the concentration camp that he's building in Florida in order to round up people, brown people, and throw them in a camp because he doesn't want them in Florida.
Surprise, surprise, the economy of Florida is going to be severely harmed.
By rounding up brown people, who, by the way, all over this country, Latinos are afraid to go to work.
Anybody who is perceived or looks Latino is afraid to go to work.
I know people who are.
You saw the use of the concentration camp thing in there.
The reference to 1930s Germany, the reference to World War II.
You understand where this is going.
I mean, that is the rhetoric that is being perpetuated everywhere.
That is what they were talking about.
And so that has now taken on a very dangerous angle, which is what Hohmann's getting at.
And as well, the U.S. Border Patrol Chief Banks is getting at right here in an interview as they're talking about what went down there in Texas.
With an agent being fired at.
I mean, this is not okay, okay?
This is not okay.
All right, Sandra, let's bring in U.S. Border Patrol Chief Mike Banks.
Chief, thanks so much for joining us today.
Terrible circumstances that bring us together this afternoon.
Here was the statement from the Department of Homeland Security on what happened in McAllen earlier today.
This morning, an individual opened fire at the entrance of the United States Border Patrol Sector Annex in McAllen, Texas.
Both Border Patrol agents and local police helped neutralize the shooter.
It's an ongoing investigation led by the FBI.
More information will be shared as it becomes available.
It's a shocking incident to be sure, but is it surprising given everything that's been going on with protests against ICE and Border Patrol?
So it's not.
And as you reported earlier, we've seen our assaults go up dramatically.
And you know, these Border Patrol agents are out there doing their job.
They're enforcing the law, they're protecting their communities.
We've got Border Patrol agents on the river right now in the Guadalupe assisting with rescue efforts.
These agents are outstanding Americans.
They're just trying to enforce the law.
But all of the rhetoric and the false information that's being put out by the left is just increasing.
Violence against our agents, and it's just unacceptable.
So, you see, in other words, that has to stop.
And now the White House is calling on it to stop.
You heard Caroline Levitt saying, Listen, like this is getting to the point of no return.
You guys have to stop doing this.
This is very childish behavior.
And at some point, it actually becomes dangerous.
Michael, in the back.
Thank you, Caroline.
An armed shooter today was shot in McAllen, Texas after opening fire on Border Patrol agents.
It comes just days after Democratic Congresswoman Pramia Jayapal recently said, She gets, quote, inspired when activists obstruct ICE.
Does the White House expect Democrats to tone down their rhetoric in light of what we saw today in McAllen, Texas?
We certainly call on Democrats to tone down their rhetoric against ICE and Border Patrol agents, who, again, are everyday men and women.
I would encourage AOC and other Democrats to actually meet with the United States Border Patrol.
These are honorable Americans who are just simply trying to do their job to enforce the law.
They go home to their families every night, just like we all do, and they deserve respect.
And dignity for trying to enforce our nation's immigration laws and to remove public safety threats from our communities.
The White House is aware of the shooting that took place today in Texas, and we are working with the appropriate federal agencies to get to the bottom of what happened.
Just awful, like really, really awful.
And so, you know what, guys, this has to end.
You can't have this kind of rhetoric constantly out there because it does cross the point of no return.
It does become dangerous.
Meanwhile, I'm going to tell you this it's not going to change anything.
What happens over and over again, the Supreme Court.
We just learned right now.
They came out and said, hello, hello.
The administration can actually make all those cuts to the federal government that they want.
Remember when everybody was suing, Letitia was suing, oh, you can't do this, you can't do that.
Well, guess what?
Supreme Court just decided, literally, just moments ago, minutes ago, we're live breaking news right here on the Trish Regan Show, that yes, they could.
And it goes with another decision that was just made that the Trump administration could revoke 532,000 temporary visas that were given to people coming from Nicaragua, Haiti, Venezuela, and Cuba.
They said, you can revoke those.
And so that's exactly what the administration is doing.
So there's, you know, they're going to keep trying to challenge all this stuff.
And I'm just telling you, you know what?
The administration has a lot of lead way here because the federal government has a whole.
Lot of leadway.
And Brooke Rollins, who runs domestic policy for the White House, just came out moments ago.
And you know what she said?
No amnesty.
Zip.
Zero.
I think I answered the second question, where we are on farm labor, a little bit earlier.
But what I will say is that Lori Chavez de Rimmer is our Secretary of Labor.
And the H 2A visa program, all of the programs that inure to moving in seasonal ag workers are under Secretary Chavez de Rimmer.
Working around the clock with her team.
I think we'll probably hear a little bit more about this today, and the conversations will continue.
But I can't underscore enough there will be no amnesty.
The mass deportations continue, but in a strategic way, and we move the workforce towards automation and 100% American participation, which again, with 34 million people, able bodied adults on Medicaid, we should be able to do that fairly quickly.
Thank you.
Wow.
I mean, this is kind of amazing, right?
Like, this is amazing.
They're saying no amnesty.
And in the meantime, you get the Democrats saying, oh, well, we're going to go.
Defund ICE.
Defund ICE.
You guys actually can't do that.
Again, very childish behavior, I've got to say.
Very childish.
Donald Trump, meanwhile, is threatening to take money away from New York City in the event that this crazy socialist communist guy actually wins the thing.
Let's hope he doesn't.
But we'll get to that in a second.
First, I just want to point out, again, we're independent here on the show, and we love our advertisers and all the support they provide the Trish Regan Show.
Go to balanceinnature.com today and take a look at what they got.
fruits and veggies I happen to like, but they've got all kinds of stuff there.
And you know, I got to tell you, it's important when you think about actual nutrition.
I've actually gotten really into this lately and maybe it's the Maha movement and I started looking at the kids breakfast cereals and everything else.
And I'm like, what was added?
What kind of ingredient is this?
What kind of ingredient is that?
And they're like, mom, stop it.
Would you stop it?
And so, of course, I had to look at the ingredients of Balance of Nature.
And what did I find?
That's good stuff, like all good, natural, healthy stuff.
And that's what we should be taking.
So I encourage you to go look at them today.

It helps you.
Good stuff.
Donald Trump, meanwhile, threatening to revoke the money that New York City would get in the event that one.
Ma'am Downey, I promise you I'll try to learn to say this name.
Maybe.
I hope I don't have to, right?
Anyway, Donald Trump here with Netanyahu speaking about the guy last night.
How do you know who the mayor will be?
I don't know that.
Do we know that?
He's going to be very fine, and who knows?
We don't know who the mayor is going to be yet.
But this is a communist.
He's not a socialist.
He's a communist.
And he said some really bad things about Jewish people, and he said some really bad things about a lot of people.
And I think he's going through a little bit of a honeymoon right now, but he might make it.
But, you know, it all comes through the White House.
He needs the money through the White House.
He needs a lot.
He's going to behave.
He'll behave.
He better behave.
Otherwise, he's going to have big problems.
But it's a philosophy that this country is not ready for, and it never will be.
By the way, we have a man with us who thought this was going to be a very glamorous, easy job.
So he's right in that it's a philosophy we will never adapt because, you know what, it's not part of who we are.
You look at the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution, for goodness sakes.
The right to own property and not have the government take it from you, it's right in there.
What do you know?
So this moron comes along and I say moron.
You know why?
Anybody who wants to talk about socialism or communism clearly is not very bright.
He didn't get into Columbia.
It says a Columbia alum.
Yeah, didn't quite have the test scores for it.
And you know what?
His dad was a professor on top of it all.
And he checked off every box you could possibly, possibly check.
But anyway, the guy's dumb because he actually hasn't read his history.
If you were to look at his history books, or maybe travel to some of these places as I have, Venezuela, for example, you know what you'd find?
None of this works.
It's never worked.
They've tried it over and over and over again.
And you know what?
You get a system that is a lot like, dare I say, the monarchy of the 1700s.
That's why we were founded, because we didn't want a king doling out property, which is exactly what this communist wants to be able to do.
He wants to decommodify housing so as to take it back.
That's going to be put in the hands of the government.
i.e. the people, but it's never the people.
It's the government.
It's him.
And then he and AOC and Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren get to decide what you may or may not have.
Bitcoin Value and Crypto Points00:02:48
That doesn't work for me.
That just doesn't work for you.
Toward the Vienna model, we'll have to go beyond the market.
We can establish community land trusts to gradually buy up housing on the private market and convert it to community ownership.
We can give tenants a right of first refusal to buy out their landlords when buildings go up for sale.
And we can fully commit to a new era of social housing, ending subsidies for luxury housing development and using our wealth to build beautiful, high-quality social housing projects that offer good homes and strong communities to everyone.
We won't decommodify housing overnight, but we know what we have to do.
Yeah.
Okay.
Like, I might actually throw up.
I might actually throw up.
This is scary.
You know what?
I guess this is all the more reason for everybody to think about Bitcoin.
I mean, I know we like gold.
Don't get me wrong.
I love gold, but I also like Bitcoin.
You know, I like Bitcoin.
And I also like the ability for my points on my credit cards to actually earn something.
This came up recently.
This is another one of our show sponsors in the interest of full disclosure.
And Gemini is.
Company like a crypto wallet, but they actually have a credit card out and it's zero dollars to get the credit card.
And what I liked about it I was talking to my colleague, Rob over at 76 Research about is how amazing this is because hey, you actually get points back in bitcoin or or whatever they have like a bunch of different cryptos you can choose from, but in my case it would be bitcoin, and so you get the points back in bitcoin and then theoretically, they go up right, they go up in value.
Well, we hope they go up in value.
I mean, if Michael Sailor's right, they're really going to go up in value and at any point you can then just take those points and you slush it over into your bank account and then you know they translate into dollars or you can leave them in your crypto wallet where they continue gaining value.
I just think it's kind of cool, because I keep looking at my points, like on my AMEX and other cards, and i'm like wow, you know it used to be however many points to be able to book a hotel room and now suddenly it's double what it used to be.
It's double the amount of points for airlines these days, and so what that means is my points are literally losing value every single day.
Well, what if they were actually in bitcoin or any other kind of crypto I liked?
First of all, if I wasn't really into crypto and I say this to people who aren't really like familiar with it, then I guess it's good because, you know, no harm, no foul, right?
Like if it goes down, you're like, well, whatever.
It's not like I actually laid out cash for it.
And if it goes up, home run, home run all day long.
So it's $0 for this card.
It's actually an orange card because, you know, orange is Bitcoin.
And you can go to Gemini.com to check this out today.
I really encourage you guys to do it.
I think it's kind of a cool and innovative way of getting points that actually hopefully grow in value as opposed to decline in value.
And when I look at the crazy socialists doing crazy things, you know, I can't help but sometimes worry.
I don't think that's going to happen.
I don't think it's going to happen.
Agriculture Secretary Beck Job00:01:05

Thank you for doing your part.
I'm looking at such a, Rob, thank you for the generosity.
Fact check.
Thank you.
I'm telling you, Don Beck is going to get a job on the show.
He said, Brooke Rollins is Secretary of Agriculture, not head of domestic policy.
You're right for Trump.
I knew she was in the domestic policy wing, but you're totally right.
