You're listening to the Liberty News Radio Network, and this is the Political Cesspool.
The Political Cesspool, going across the South and worldwide, as the South's foremost populist conservative radio program.
And here to guide you through the murky waters of the Political Cesspool is your host, James Edwards.
It's great to be with you tonight, ladies and gentlemen, this Saturday evening, September the 24th.
I'm your host, James Edwards.
You're listening to the Political Cesspool broadcasting remotely tonight, just outside Little Rock, Arkansas.
I had the opportunity to deliver a speech earlier today to a tremendous room of people.
And it was just a phenomenally good time.
Political Cesspool fans driving in long distances to say hello.
And it was great to meet so many of you this afternoon.
I had intended to spend the majority of the show covering that event and what we saw, who we talked to, some of the atmosphere, paint a verbal picture for those who couldn't be here with us.
But alas, how do I want to put this?
The blessings of diversity and multiculturalism have been poured out on us again in Charlotte, in Burlington, Washington, and elsewhere just since our last broadcast.
So what I had intended to do tonight has been interrupted, and we have to cover the news as only we can.
And bringing on a man who can break down a situation like this as no one else can.
Sean Bergen, former television newsman.
Sean, we're going to have to reassign you to a topic more uplifting.
You're so talented.
Every time we have you on, we talk about the worst that America has to offer.
But this is unfortunately your duty.
How are you doing tonight, brother?
I'm doing great.
And, you know, perhaps we can put together a gardening segment somewhere down the line.
But what we've seen here in the United States of America, coast to coast, across the fruited plain, has to have been one of the most violent weeks that we've seen in recent memory.
We had five people gunned down in a Washington state mall last night.
A young man in his 20s or 30s, originally identified by eyewitnesses as being Hispanic.
Now law enforcement is saying, well, they're not ruling that out.
I saw a photograph of the guy, and he could just as easily be an Islamic jihadi.
This guy walked into a mall in Burlington, Washington, 65 miles north of Seattle, gunned down, killed five people at the Cascade Mall, and then he fled on foot.
He's still on the loose.
I talked to friends of mine in that area, and they are locked and loaded, keeping their powder dry.
This comes just a week after another mall attack, this time in St. Cloud, Minneapolis, where a Somali jihadi acting on the orders of ISIS stabbed to death nine people.
Now, I'm not saying that the guy in Washington last night is definitely an Islamic jihadi, but if I were leading that investigation, that would be the direction that I'm going in because ISIS, very publicly, according to Homeland Security officials earlier this spring, ISIS has been calling for their lone wolf attackers or known wolf attackers or wolf pack attackers to begin attacking Westerners in shopping malls.
And we had two of those attacks within a week.
Although it wasn't just confined to the shopping malls.
We did have some, another Islamic jihadi, yet again, from New Jersey, planted a number of pipe bombs along the route of a foot race in New Jersey.
And that thing exploded, thankfully, just before the race went off.
The race was delayed a few minutes by God's good grace.
Otherwise, we would have been talking about easily a dozen people murdered and dozens more maimed.
Later on that night, a pipe bomb exploded in the Chelsea section of New York City in Manhattan.
31 people injured on that one.
Another pressure cooker bomb discovered just blocks from there on West 27th Street.
Two unwitting guys pulled a piece of luggage out of the garbage and decided they would take the bag and leave the bomb.
We don't know if they affected the bomb one way or the other, but that one thankfully did not go off.
And then the next day, of course, there were a series of pipe bombs found in a garbage can in Elizabeth, New Jersey by a couple of homeless guys.
All of this, of course, ascribed to the same suspect, this guy, Ahmad Rahami.
Typical jihadi, disaffected, unhappy with his life, goes back to Afghanistan, makes repeated trips to Pakistan, comes back with a full beard, fully radicalized.
Nobody can recognize the guy.
His own father turns him into the FBI.
The FBI interviews this guy and says, yeah, nothing to see here.
Let's move along.
I mean, I don't know what the heck is going on with the FBI these days, but this guy is easily, he's easily the third or fourth jihadi that they had in their sights, in their radar, and then they let go, only for these guys to go out and wreak havoc.
I mean, what on earth is going on in America today?
This is Obama's America.
That's what we're looking at right now.
And, you know, of course, the week was bookended by jihadi violence, Islamic terrorism, and then in between, we have domestic terrorism on the part of Black Lives Matter after a couple of shootings that, you know, that then involved black men, one of whom was armed and one that was not armed.
But it looks now like that guy who was unarmed in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
There were some serious questions raised about him, too, even as the officer who did the shooting in that case was just charged criminally with manslaughter.
Sean, it is amazing the precipitous decline that we are watching in real time this country take.
And I remember having you on back in July, was it?
And it was right after the shootings in Dallas.
That has been completely forgotten.
Completely.
Now, that should be something that is on everyone's minds for a long, long time, that the most catastrophic event for law enforcement since 9-11.
But no, we have had so many terrorist attacks, and you are so right to label what's going on with these Black Lives Matter thugs as domestic terrorism.
That is exactly what they are.
And I think we had you on again post-Dallas for another random manifestation of senseless violence.
And we tried to recap what had happened between Dallas and then that follow-up interview a couple of weeks later.
And it was something along the lines of a dozen, a dozen of these occurrences from Nice, France, and elsewhere.
You just cannot keep up with them anymore.
If our entire show was dedicated to nothing but this subject, we wouldn't be able to fill it in a three-hour slot once a week.
But this week has been particularly brutal.
The carnage from Washington to Minnesota to Charlotte and elsewhere.
The bombs that were planted up in the New York, New Jersey area.
What is going on in Obama's America is absolutely right, and the end doesn't seem near.
It appears as though it's all ratcheting up.
Well, yeah, that's the truly disturbing part about all of this.
And what is really disturbing to me is that a lot of it seems the domestic side anyway seems to be orchestrated by a Hungarian billionaire by the name of George Soros, who is funding all of this stuff.
I mean, 70% of the people arrested during the Charlotte riots that we just saw over the last week, 70% of those folks were from out of town.
They were from someplace else.
Somebody is paying the bus fare for these guys.
And it is this guy, Soros, who has to be the most twisted, evil, he's like a James Bond villain, I mean, alive today.
And you have to ask yourself, question yourself, well, two things.
First of all, this guy is allied with the Clintons, who are another pair of international gangsters.
They're also allied with Barack Obama, who seems to be, you know, shaping up here or developing himself or trying to move himself into become some kind of world leader by taking over the UN.
I mean, this stuff is starting to look apocalyptic to me.
It really is.
It's very, very disturbing.
Hold on right there, brother.
We got to take our first break.
We're fortunate enough to have Sean Bergen himself on with us for the full hour.
We're going to focus on Charlotte exclusively right after this.

All right, folks, back with Sean Bergen.
He did a phenomenal job of breaking down the litany of events that have happened in Obama's America just since last Saturday night.
It's just incredible the frequency with which these things are happening.
And I think it certainly could be argued that what happened in Washington and Minnesota was a bigger event in terms of the carnage.
It had the murders and the maimings, but of course what everybody was glued to this week was the riotous behavior.
I think the clown media continued to refer to it as peaceful protests.
But what happened in Charlotte, North Carolina, a very beautiful southern city, was just, it drained me of any last ounces of empathy that I may have had left.
Sean, break down the situation in Charlotte, if you will.
Yeah, last Wednesday, we had an ex-convict by the name of, I think, hold on, let me refer to my notes here.
I forget these names just start to escape me after a while.
Keith Lamont Scott, 43-year-old ex-convict who was armed.
Got out of his car, apparently.
We still haven't seen the video from the police perspective, but we did have the benefit of video shot by the man's wife, which was primarily audio.
We didn't actually see the shots fired.
But what you hear in this case is the police officers yelling repeatedly for the man to drop the gun.
Drop the gun.
I mean, anybody in that situation who doesn't drop the gun is thinking about doing something with that gun.
Ultimately, the man was gunned down.
He was gunned down by a black police officer in a city that has a black police chief.
And that, I guess, was enough to set the city aflame because Black Lives Matter mobilized.
They moved into the place.
They started the usual scene.
It was like a replay of what we saw in Baltimore and Ferguson, where you have a justified police shooting and people just using this as an excuse to create havoc in mayhem.
Well, go ahead.
No, I was just, no, of course that's right.
And I did read some of these reports that 70% of the arrests were from out of state.
Then one of the spokesmen for the police backtracked that, walked it back a little bit.
Who's to say if he didn't get reprimanded for letting the cat out of the bag and had to backtrack?
But even if Soros is sending people in there, they wouldn't be able to put it off without the complicity of the Obama administration and our government.
So I'm watching this, Sean.
Peaceful protests, peaceful protests.
It's not peaceful when you have a mob blocking city streets, looting, vandalizing, burning trash, setting fires, throwing people into the fires.
There was supposedly a civilian-on-civilian murder in the midst of all of this, blocking the interstates and being a general nuisance.
I doubt very seriously that those people were permitted to shut down downtown Charlotte for four consecutive nights.
So my question to you is.
Why were there no arrests?
I mean, there were a handful of arrests if they got particularly violent or unruly, but every single one of them should have been arrested.
It shouldn't have lasted 30 minutes the first night, much less four nights, Sean?
You know, that really comes, you can lay that blame at the foot of the mayor.
And that mayor knows that in order to get re-elected, she has to get the black vote, especially in a place like Charlotte.
So, I mean, there's politics involved right from the outset.
Why didn't the governor call in the National Guard sooner?
You know, I mean, you know, there's a whole host of questions here that need to be answered, but all of them seem to be political in nature.
You have these, you know, what we used to call the Black Lives Matter, we used to call it Al Sharpton's Rent a Riot.
And that's basically what you have here is these people who, this is not some organic grassroots uprising that just materialized suddenly.
This is engineered, and it's engineered by, you know, by Soros.
And who are Soros' allies?
The Clinton cabal, the Clinton crime family, and Barack Obama.
I mean, they're all in this together.
They're all trying to foment and see and sow chaos.
I mean, Obama's trying to sow chaos in his own country.
What on earth could George Soros' motivation be?
The guy is one of the wealthiest men on planet Earth.
I don't know of any other billionaires who are out there creating this kind of havoc and social unrest.
I just, you have to look at the big picture here and say, what is this guy striving for?
Does he want to destroy our country?
Does he want to sink our currency so he can, you know, these are people who are driven by, this is a madness.
It's a brand of insanity.
I mean, the guy's not drooling on himself, but I mean, you know, there's a certain level of insanity that's involved here with him and with the Clintons and with Barack Obama.
And it's very, very disturbing to me because this is going to continue to degenerate as we move forward.
And I think a lot of it is going to be tied to the presidential election.
As Trump begins to emerge as a clear frontrunner, you're going to see more and more of this chaos emerge so that they can blame it on Donald Trump and say, oh, it's Donald Trump's rhetoric that's driving this.
That's all they have.
They don't have anything on policy.
They don't have any new solutions.
All they have is, you know, because they know that if Trump gets in and he turns this country around, if he does succeed in actually making America great again, the Democrats are doomed.
They'll be out in the political wilderness for the next 30 to 40 years.
Yo, you bring up a good point or you trigger me to ask you a question that I had intended to ask you since we knew you would be on the broadcast tonight.
If these people had any sense, any self-control, which obviously, apparently they do not.
And I'm talking about the radical Islamic terrorist all the way down to the domestic BLM terrorist.
Why would they not just try to keep a low profile until November 9th and pray that Hillary Clinton gets elected so that they can then have a free reign and run roughshod and do whatever they want?
We don't want to politicize this in the Sololinsky way, but surely, practically speaking, all of this racial unrest has to help Trump, right?
It has to mobilize the hardworking middle class, make America great again people to go out and vote.
I mean, does this help Trump?
Or is the attention span of the average American so juvenile and so short that come November, unless there's a terrorist attack on November 7th, it might not have any effect at all.
What do you think, Sean?
Look, I mean, ostensibly, a clear-thinking, responsible adult would look at this from your perspective and say, Yeah, it does help Trump.
Because the independent vote, the undecided vote, would move in his direction to say, you know what, I don't like what's going on in my country.
But the Democrats know that this is all they have.
What you're looking at is an act of desperation.
I mean, her campaign has fallen apart.
She's physically falling apart right before our eyes.
The whole thing is unraveling, and they're terrified over there.
And this is all they know how to do.
They don't know how to solve problems.
They'll come in and say, Oh, yeah, we have all the solutions to these problems that we've created.
But when it comes up to actual, like, you know, doing what's needed to be done in government to get the country back on track, they don't even know where to begin.
That's why they keep doing what they do year in and year out for decades on end.
We're looking at 70, 80 years of progressivism in this country.
How on earth do these people still have control of the inner cities?
They look at a guy like Trump.
I mean, this guy is a real breaking the mold.
I've never seen a Republican presidential candidate go into America's inner cities and speak to black church leaders.
I mean, this is exactly what the Republicans need to do.
And the Democrats are terrified because they can see that Trump is peeling away a good portion of the black vote.
And without the black vote, they're doomed.
They don't have anything.
Their whole paradigm falls apart.
The whole House of Cards collapses.
You peel away the black vote, you peel away the Hispanic vote, and you start peeling away security moms who are concerned about their welfare.
And they know that they don't have anything else.
Well, this is apparently what's happening.
He went from, according to some polls, 0% of the black vote, 1%, up to 15% to 18%, according to some polls.
And polls are like the weather.
They change daily.
But we're going to continue to analyze Charlotte.
I've got some provocative questions for Sean in the next segment, and then we'll move on to other topics in the final segment this hour with Sean.
But stay tuned.
This is TPC at its best.
We'll be right back.
Pursuing Liberty, using the Constitution as our guide.
You're listening to Liberty News Radio.
With news this hour from LibertyNewsDaily.com, I'm William Grigg.
In his final address to the UN General Assembly as president, Barack Obama urged the world body to consider a course correction to counteract the rising tide of nationalist populism, describing himself as, quote, convinced that in the long run, giving up some freedom of action, binding ourselves to international rules over the long term, enhances our security.
This is the paradox that defines our world today, lectured Obama.
A quarter century after the end of the Cold War, the world is, by many measures, less violent and more prosperous than ever before.
And yet, our societies are filled with uncertainty and unease and strife.
Much of the trouble decried by Obama reflects the decisions made by the permanent members of the UN Security Council, such as the wars and occupation of Iraq and the 2011 assault on Libya that precipitated an eruption of Islamic militancy that has destabilized northern Africa, exacerbated the civil war in Syria, inflamed the refugee crisis in the region, and is propagating a crisis in Europe.
In what might be considered an overture to the foreign policy priorities of a Hillary Clinton administration, Obama singled out Russia for criticism, accusing Putin's government of attempting to recover lost glory through force.

Listen, do you hear that sound?
It started low, but it's getting progressively louder.
Into a crescendo, even louder, irresistible, ending in an ear-splitting blast of mass disruption.
That's the sound of America's economic and political systems crashing to the ground.
But we have a plan.
We will be ready to restore political sanity.
We will be ready to answer the call of productive America.
We will restore America's industrial base and put America back to work.
We will shut down political correctness and restore decency and positive media to America.
We will save our Constitution, our traditional way of life, our customs, and religion.
We will restore sound money and crush the debt-based system of monetary slavery.
And we will end America's foreign misadventures.
We are the American Freedom Party, and we have a plan.

All right, folks, again, too much to keep up with.
How can you keep up with it all?
Just this last week, it's hard to keep up with it.
Any one of these events would be enough to dominate, and it would be worthy of an hour's worth of opinion and analysis and commentary on this program.
Murders in Washington, stabbings in Minnesota, bombs in New York, New Jersey, the carnage on the streets in Charlotte.
That is a week's worth, and that's just the stuff we know about.
And Sean, it should not, you cannot repeat enough that Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party has codified support of Black Lives Matter and what we're seeing into their official party platform.
As we know, Hillary rendered a guilty verdict to the officers in Baltimore before any evidence was presented, before they were exonerated by a black judge, before any of that she had thrown them under the bus.
She has tweeted support for the two men who were shot.
Now, obviously, any loss of life is tragic, but if you take action that brings about the response from these police officers, you got to say, well, it was tragic, but it was warranted.
We will find that out in Tulsa and in Charlotte when the facts are presented, when the cases are made, when a judge renders a decision if it comes to that.
But Hillary Clinton, the Democratic Party, these people on the streets, they don't wait for due process.
These people on the streets of Charlotte, Sean, were there to party.
They were there to just stir up mayhem.
They were there.
It was a carnival-like atmosphere.
They were jumping up and down.
They were hooping and hollering.
They weren't there sorrowfully mourning a loss of life or to make a point.
They were there just to be lawless thugs.
And that's all they are.
And again, I was watching the National Guard.
I guess it was cool that they were brought in.
It was good aesthetics.
It was nice to see an old-time Roman phalanx on the streets.
They had tear gas.
They had flashbangs.
They had rubber bullets, but they didn't stop it.
And for that, I can't understand.
So which part of that would you like to sink your teeth into, Sean?
The fact that Hillary has codified support of BLM, that there's really no critical thinking going on on the part of the thugs, that they're, again, none of this unrest was quailed in a timely manner.
It just beats, I've never seen anything like this.
It's almost as if the onion has come to life in the real world, and this is our daily existence now.
Well, then, on that note, I'd like to add, Justin, I don't want to re-emphasize what you've already said, but rather add yet another component.
You said this sounds like something out of the onion.
That's what our liberal news media has degenerated into because they have legitimized and emboldened this crowd.
They are not protesters.
Why are they constantly being characterized as protesters?
They're rioters.
They're criminal thugs.
They're feckless, irresponsible people who hold no function of society.
They make no contributions to their communities.
They're just a traveling, roving band of miscreants.
You know, and they're paid to do it.
And our news media is driving all of this.
Not only have they legitimized and emboldened this crowd, I mean, these people are committing crimes now in front of the news cameras because they feel entitled to do so.
They feel so legitimized, so emboldened.
There is nothing critical coming out of our liberal news media about the forces that are driving this.
They're always obsessed with getting to the bottom of the root cause.
What's the root cause of this?
What's the root cause?
How come they're not looking at the root causes of this?
You know, I mean, it's just the guy who was shot, I mean, Keith Lamont Scott, there's next to no coverage of what kind of a guy this was.
He was convicted back in the 90s of check fraud, of aggravated assault, carrying a concealed weapon.
In the early 2000s, he moved to Texas.
And in 2005, he was sent to prison because he shot and wounded a man.
And he served seven years in jail.
He was released in 2011.
And this guy was a bad dude.
He was a real bad ombre with a lengthy criminal history.
And the last photograph that I saw of him of his body splayed on the pavement, he had an ankle holster.
This guy was walking around, a convicted fellow, walking around with a concealed weapon on him.
I don't know any state in America that allows a convicted felon to walk around with a concealed gun.
Yet he was doing so.
So he knows damn well that when he gets out of his car, that he's going to jail for a long, long time.
So what does he do?
He commits suicide by cop.
That's the logical explanation here.
And that is the one thing that connects this situation with the one in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Because you have a similar circumstance there with a guy who served a lengthy prison term, nine years, who knows he's got PCP in the car.
He's high on PCP at the time.
According to the woman who shot him, the officer, you know, he wasn't just shot by one cop.
He was shot by two cops, one with a taser and one by a female officer who was a drug recognition expert and said clearly through her lawyer that this guy was on something.
His car wasn't stalled out.
His car was parked and running.
I mean, this is going to be another situation just like Baltimore and Darren Wilson and Ferguson, that when the facts do eventually come out and they are acquitted and they are exonerated, ultimately, you know, that's going to be the outcome there.
But in the meantime, that officer's life will be turned upside down.
I mean, and this is the Ferguson effect.
So now the police back off.
I mean, if I'm a cop and I'm looking at this situation, it's like, you know what?
I see a guy like that in that kind of a situation.
I'm going to go hide in my car, call in the cavalry, and just see what happens.
I'm not confronting that individual.
I'm not throwing my life away for that guy.
You know, this cop is going to be crucified now and convicted by the news media before she ever goes to a trial.
And so what happens is when the police back off nationwide like this in this Ferguson effect, you end up with more crime, more murders, more black-on-black crime.
So the black people that Black Lives Matter say they want to protect end up being the ultimate victims.
More of them get murdered, robbed, raped, beat up, what have you.
Phenomenal commentary.
Ladies and gentlemen, no one does it like Sean Bergen, and he hit on something that I had in mind to make mention.
When you have this, as he put it, the Ferguson effect, the Baltimore effect, cops will not do their jobs.
What cop would want to enforce a law and, God forbid, use deadly force on a black person?
Your life is ruined, and at least one city is going to burn as a result.
So what kind of incentive is that for cops to do that?
Now, we have this myth that you have all of these white racist cops that are just driving around waiting to find a black to gun down in cold blood.
Obviously, that is so crazy.
It's beyond the realm of belief, but this is what they have hopped themselves up to believe.
Now, even if that woman in Tulsa made the wrong decision, and who knows?
We don't know yet.
Odds are she probably did not.
This guy's parked in the middle of the highway, for God's sake, and he's reaching in.
The footage is inconclusive.
Even if a cop makes a mistake, they pay the price.
That does not give these terrorists license to break the laws a thousand times over.
I don't know how many people in Charlotte there were, but every single one of them had broken the law to the extent where they should have been arrested and thrown in jail.
You do not have a license to do that in the event, even if a cop made a mistake, you don't have the license to do that.
But did you watch the video, Sean?
Listen, I'm sorry the guy died, but I'll tell you, no one, I have not heard this anywhere.
What I have heard over and over and over again is that North Carolina is a free carry state.
So if the guy had a gun, so what?
He had the right to have a gun.
Not one network that I've seen, and I'm talking Fox, CNN, et cetera, has mentioned that this guy had a record.
And even in an open carry state, he would not have had the right to have a gun.
Not one has mentioned that in the case of the Charlotte shooting.
Have you heard of one mention that, Sean?
Because he shot a guy.
It's not like, you know, what is it?
His friends have, oh, he was holding a book.
He was holding a book.
I mean, and so what will happen is the news outlets will take that quote and they'll run with it.
And what you end up with is another hands-up, don't shoot routine.
The guy was holding a book.
Oh, yeah, it must have been a Bible.
Oh, yeah, let me guess.
He was out there trying to spread the gospel, right?
Is that where we're going to take this story?
The guy was a stone-cold ex-convict who was carrying a gun and he was told repeatedly by the cops to drop the damn thing and he didn't.
He deserved to get shot by the police.
Did he deserve to die?
I'll leave that up to God.
Well, and of course, that's all any of us can do.
But we have already seen instances where cops have hesitated.
I think it was a cop in Georgia, if I'm not mistaken, that got brutally beaten because he hesitated to use force, and the thug got out and cleaned his clock.
And there's probably more instances of that that we don't know about.
But this will be a common occurrence.
Cops are going to do everything they can to withhold the use of force, even when it's clearly appropriate, because what happens to them?
Even if they're exonerated, their lives are ruined.
And you have all of this carnage and mayhem.
But this video, Sean, I don't want to dwell on it too much because, again, the loss of life is tragic, even if it was warranted.
But did you watch the whole video?
Not just the snippet that some of these networks have played, but the entire video that this woman had on her cell phone.
Let me tell you something.
If that had been my wife, the roles have been reversed.
My wife just got shot, just got killed.
I would have either died with her or I would have been so inconsolable just on the floor out of it.
I mean, sobbing, incoherent.
This woman very coolly argues with the police, calls the police, cusses the police, and it seems as though there would be an hysterical reaction in that event.
He was rolling with the video throughout all of this, making me believe that maybe there was a portion of this that was just staged or planned.
Who knows?
We'll let you think about that during the break.
It's just a side issue, I guess, and it's not relevant to the facts, but it was interesting to see that.
We'll take a break one more second with Sean.
My sister was smoking, and I watched her.
She asked me if I wanted some, and I said, sure.
And she taught me how to smoke, and that was my first experience.
Every day, an estimated 3,000 teens start smoking.
Both my parents smoke.
I mean, seeing them smoke, watching them thinking, well, I do it.
It's not going to hurt me.
Smoking sends mixed messages to your children.
They just recently found out, I just told my mom, so she was shocked, very shocked.
I think parents have a big influence on whether or not their children smoke.
Because even if the parent says that they don't agree with it, it really doesn't hold a lot of water.
I mean, you can say, I don't agree with you smoking, but when you light up five minutes later, it doesn't hold a lot of water.
Smoking.
If you think you're old enough to start, you're smart enough to stop.
A public service message from this station and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

All right.
Well, again, this is a it's not a trivial matter, but it did strike me.
And since we're talking about this subject and this is somewhat related to it, I thought I'd get Sean's opinion.
So we saw the video that the wife of the suspect, the man who was shot in.
Charlotte, released.
And I can't presume to tell someone the appropriate reaction in a circumstance like that.
God forbid it ever happened to me or anyone I know.
And I'm sorry that it happened at all, even in this case.
But we saw this also in the case of Philando Castile up in Minnesota, where he was actually shot in the car.
And his girlfriend next to him had no reaction whatsoever except anger and not anger that you would expect, but just mouthing off.
And I don't know, Sean, did the video from Charlotte strike you as strange in any way?
Yeah, I thought that was a bit odd.
And you're not the only one commenting on this, that throughout, you know, her husband is literally just seconds away from being gunned down.
And, you know, she's out there, you know, rolling video for, I don't know, where does she think this is going to air on YouTube someplace?
I mean, you just think to yourself, where the heck are your priorities?
You know, I would have dropped the phone and run out there.
And if it was my spouse, I would have tackled them, prevented them from getting out of the car.
I mean, she knows the guy has a gun on him.
You know, there's no way if she's his wife, she doesn't realize that this guy, who's been, you know, convicted of multiple felonies throughout his life, should not be walking around with a gun.
If he gets caught with a gun, then, you know, he's going to jail for a long time.
You know, the police in that situation were there to serve a warrant on somebody else.
But they saw this guy, Scott, pull up.
Two undercover cops were outside waiting to serve a warrant.
They saw this guy, Scott, pull up, and he appeared to be rolling, you know, what appeared to be a marijuana blunt.
And that's what led to the confrontation to begin with.
It looked like the guy was, you know, he had marijuana on him.
So they approached him, and that's where all of this began.
That's how it all began to unfold.
And he eventually got out of the car with the gun.
And after they told him repeatedly, drop the gun, drop the gun.
If I'm a cop, I don't have to tell you a second time.
You get out of a car with a gun in your hand, knowing full well that you're surrounded by police officers, and you're told once to drop that gun.
You don't drop that gun.
You're thinking about what you're going to do next with that gun.
And it ain't good.
So, you know, especially in the current climate, we have police being executed on our streets all over the city.
You mentioned Dallas earlier in the program.
You know, five officers who were killed in Dallas.
Well, just a week later, there was another three who were ambushed in Baton Rouge.
I mean, this is a growing trend in this country.
And these guys feel emboldened.
The Baton Rouge, yes.
I mean, again, in trying to rattle off all of the things that have happened this year, this summer particularly, it's been the summer of blood.
I thought you had one of the lines of the year, Ramadan bombathon with all of the Muslim terrorism and Baton Rouge.
I mean, that should be on our minds and hearts all of the time.
I can't even remember it.
I'd forgotten about it until you brought it back up.
But of course, the woman's mind.
It's the new normal, James.
This is the new normal now in Obama's America.
And, you know, I mean, so we should all have grave concerns about how this is going to, you know, how this is going to develop moving forward.
Because clearly our president doesn't care.
He seems to be enjoying it.
You know, people are getting blasted in bombings and cops getting gunned down.
And he's out on the golf course and getting toasted at fundraisers.
And, you know, there's just a disconnect there that is just extremely troubling.
And these people are conducting themselves like Marxist dictators while us peasants out here in Middle America Are seeing our whole world turned upside down.
Yeah, that's the truth.
My wife is now afraid because of this.
You see it on TV all the time.
You turn on the news, and even in the local news, it's murder after murder after murder.
They don't make national news, but every lead story in the Memphis news is some robbery, murder, stabbing, something.
It's gotten to the point where you almost live as a shut-in in big cities.
And of course, the woman's line there in Charlotte was that he didn't have a gun.
But I don't know of any police officer in the world that's going to murder somebody for carrying a book or pointing a book at them.
I mean, that doesn't even begin to compute.
But we have a very quick clip, 20-second clip that Sam has pulled up.
And I don't know.
Maybe it's relative to what's going on here.
Can we play that clip?
It's Obama.
We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set.
We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.
Okay, Sean, so is this security force what we're seeing on the streets of Charlotte that seemed equally toe-to-toe with the police force there?
They certainly didn't get ran off by the police.
Is that what he's talking about, perhaps?
Who knows?
He said a civilian security force.
What is that?
Maybe that's what we're seeing in Charlotte.
Maybe that's what we saw in Baltimore.
Is that, I mean, maybe that's what we saw in Ferguson.
Is that it?
I mean, who knows?
It's open-ended.
So I'm asking.
Yeah, I mean, it's very vague.
And I don't know of any kind of civilian law enforcement organization.
They don't exist, as far as I know.
I mean, unless you're talking about a militia.
But, you know, I mean, this, I don't know.
Is he trying some kind of national security force, civilian national security force?
It sounds to me like he's maybe setting the stage for something bigger.
Maybe the introduction of UN troops.
You want to see this country go bananas?
You want to see real violence?
Bring UN troops and put them on American soil.
You know, if you took all the combined hunters and gun owners in the United States, they would equal the largest army in the world by far.
So if this guy thinks that he's got ideas like this, grand designs like this, forget about it.
It'll never happen.
The American people will not let it happen.
I hope that's the truth.
Scoop had ceded his time to you tonight, Sean, but he has called in surprisingly, and let's see what he has to say.
Scoop does a lot of great work.
It is, in fact, Scoop is the reason we have the talents of Sean Bergen to present to you here on this program.
And so, Scoop, what do you got, brother?
Hi, good evening, everybody.
Sean, you're doing a bang-up job.
I'll make this real quick.
Last week, Sergeant Kennedy Style of the Detroit Police Department lost his life succumbing to gunshot wounds.
You didn't know this because the media is reporting the divorce of two private citizens in the anti-tam industry.
You didn't know that Sergeant Style was part of one of America's lowest paid departments in one of America's dangerous cities.
Instead, the media showed you millionaires athletes protesting during National Anthony and complaining of oppression and police brutality.
We didn't know that Sergeant Style works some of the worst neighborhoods in Detroit has to offer.
But because the media wasted time pondering why a radical Muslim immigrant would want to detonate bombs in the New York City region, we did not know that Sergeant Style left a grieving wife and two young sons and that Detroit's finest walked the style of children to school with Mr. Style.
But instead, the media was gushing over Obama's speech about himself in the United Nations.
We never found out that Sergeant Style was an exemplary officer and accredited the Detroit Police Department.
Instead, the media spent all day, every day playing armchair police chief, critiquing the actions of officers using deadly force and fanning the flames of hatred against the police and then reporting that the police are that the people are rioting because of the police.
Fortunately, Charlie Lee Duff did a report for his American segment, Sergeant Style.
It is a much-watched and probably the best segment ever, and one he did not want to do.
The segment prepared on Fox 2 Detroit.
At this segment, not a dry eye was to be seen.
I'll conclude with the closing of the Duff segment.
Thank you for your service, Detroit Police Sergeant Kenneth Stile.
You will not be forgotten.
James, Sean, back to you.
I'm out.
See you next week.
Thank you for your contribution, Scoop.
As always, yeah, I mean, we live in an America now where the government has declared a de facto war against its own police.
And I mean, who would have thought we would ever have seen that in God's country?
But, Sean, all trends suggest that there will be more of these types of incidents as we get closer to the election time.
It seems as though the trajectory is ascendant in that regard.
Let me ask you this, totally off topic, but we only have a minute remaining.
What do you expect to see during this first debate on Monday night?
Well, the first debate is going to be held in Long Island, where I'm actually talking to you from.
This is the third Hostra presidential debate.
They've become a trend now.
I think that this is going to be a very, very, very important debate, probably one of the most important debates in the history of our country.
From what I can gather, from what I understand, Trump is preparing for this in a very unorthodox way.
What's going to be interesting to see is how he approaches this debate.
And also, what I'm really waiting to see is what is Hillary Clinton's physical condition, and does she have what it takes to make it through 90 minutes of a debate performance?
Because there's a strong likelihood that she's going to falter here.
And if that happens, Donald Trump will put her away.
The election will be over by Tuesday morning.
God help us.
God, please, please grant your people this one thing.
And I heard today, Sean, I haven't verified it, but I have read that it's going to be 90 minutes commercial-free, restroom-break-free, 90 consecutive minutes.
If what I read today is accurate, that seems unbelievable, but that's what I read.
And if that's the case, that will certainly be pretty interesting to see how Clinton holds up.
And another thing about Clinton, she has lived this charmed life.
Other than a little brief skirmish with Rick Lazio in the New York Senate race some years ago, she's never really been challenged.
And she will be challenged by Donald Trump, the likes of which she has never seen before.
And it'll be very interesting to see how someone is.
You want to talk about white privilege.
It's people like Hillary Clinton that have it.
I guarantee you it's not us.
And it will be interesting to see how she responds to that challenge that he'll give.
I tell you, it's going to be the most watched presidential debate in American history.
I agree with what Sean said.
I don't think anyone could say it better.
I think it is the most important presidential debate in American history.
Maybe going back to Lincoln, some of the Lincoln era stuff, but this is America's at a crossroads, and I'm not just talking about a marginal one.
It's a hard left or a hard right.
And Sean, we wish you could be at that debate there in Long Island, but we'll be watching it together.
And I think, are we going to live tweet this thing?
Did Scoop tell me that that's what's going to happen?
I believe so.
All right.
Well, we'll put a note out on the website if that's the case.
But nevertheless, Sean Bergen, thank you for breaking down all of these unfortunate events as only you can.
We'll talk to you again soon, brother.
God bless.
All right, we're back with Jim Lance at Liberty News Radio Network.
