Time Text
You're listening to the Liberty News Radio Network, and this is the Political Cesspool.
The Political Cesspool, known across the South and worldwide as the South's foremost populist conservative radio program.
And here to guide you through the murky waters of the Political Cesspool is your host, James Edwards.
All right, folks, you heard all that heinous stuff in the first hour.
We are going to make, at least for a few minutes, about as radical of a departure as you possibly can in terms of covering something that is not at all related to current events or anything associated with topics at hand during the first hour.
But amazingly, we're going to talk about something even worse than that, although it is a matter that has been long buried and forgotten by some in history.
I'm very excited to welcome back to the program an old friend who has authored a new book entitled Blood in the Ozarks, Union War Crimes Against Southern Sympathizers and Civilians in Occupied Missouri.
It is authored by Clint Lacey, who I have known for many, many, many years, and he is a former elected official in Missouri, as it turns out.
And it's put out by the poisoned pen publishing company, Blood in the Ozarks.
And wouldn't you know it, this is the book that we are offering as the incentive for those who are kind enough, generous enough to donate $100 or more to our third quarter fundraising drive, which is still got about two weeks left.
It wraps up on September 30th, but there's no time like right now to get in your love offering, ladies and gentlemen.
You can do it right now while you're listening to Clint.
Clint, welcome back.
Good to be here, James.
Well, it's good to have you, brother.
I can remember you and I standing together at Confederate Park in Memphis in 2005.
We were responsible, our group was, the political cesspool, and those who turned out for that event was responsible for having Al Sharpton cancel a proposed march through Memphis from Confederate Park to Nathan Bedford Forest Park.
And that still remains a high watermark in our program's history, even though it dates back to 2005.
Do you remember that day?
I remember that day well.
That's a high watermark in my life, actually.
I still tell people that story, and they're still excited when I tell them that story, they can't believe I was there.
And I, for one, was proud to be there to witness it and participate in it.
Well, it was great to have you, and there's been a lot of stories.
One day I'll sit down and pin an autobiography, and that will be among the many.
And they continue every day.
There's another chapter, it seems.
But let's get to the book.
I like to offer incentives that are, of course, related to our program's mission statement.
We don't just give out junk.
We give out something that complements what we're doing and who we are and what we're about.
And when it's something that is produced by a friend of ours, then that's just double the pleasure as far as that goes.
However, with this book, it's not really a subject that is going to make people feel good, is it, Clint?
No, no, it's a pretty sad subject, and it's a testament to the brutality that civilians had to live through during the time of war between the states or Yankee aggression.
And one of the points or focuses of the book is the fact that civilians were target and used in the war and exterminated.
Up to 27,000 Missourian citizens, mind you, Were killed during this conflict.
Well, and of course, this was typical with the atrocities that were going on from the Western Theater all the way, of course, to the Eastern Seaborn.
And of course, it's very well known the war crimes committed by Sherman in Atlanta and elsewhere.
But what happened in Missouri is not quite as well known, even perhaps with some of our listeners who are, of course, very well informed with regard to Confederate-related issues, right, Clint?
That's correct.
Readers would probably be surprised to know that one of the key characters in this, Major Leaper of the 3rd Missouri State Militia, wanted to use free slaves to exterminate white civilians.
He said that if anybody gave aid to a civilian, or any civilian gave aid to a Confederate, then they deserved to die.
And that was his mission plan.
The book also talks about a hidden secret of sorts, a massacre that occurred on Christmas Day in 1863 at one of Colonel Lee's, who was a Confederate colonel, 15th Missouri Cavalry, Regimental Camp, 17 miles southwest of Donovan, Missouri.
They had captured some Union prisoners, and the Union tracked them down there, and it was a massacre.
It was truly a massacre.
And it occurred on Christmas Day, a day that, you know, historically has always been a sacred day.
And it was just a one-sided massacre.
That's all you can call it.
People would be very shocked to learn about what took place that day.
I'm actually holding the book in my hand right now, ladies and gentlemen, a copy that Clint was kind enough to send me, I guess, a few months ago now.
And I've been holding on to it, and I've been thinking about using it as an incentive.
And the stars aligned this quarter for us to do that.
It is a fantastically produced book.
It has great cover art.
It is impeccably formatted, illustrated, and I think the Barnes Review had a hand in the production of this.
Am I right, Clint?
Their editor, Paul Angel, did.
That's correct.
And they've helped market it.
And Paul is the owner of Poison Pen Publishing Company.
And I just can't speak highly enough of his contributions to this book in terms of formatting and illustrations and extra information about the individual characters of the book.
Well, and I think the reason I bring that up is for people who are knowledgeable about the Barnes Review, their statement, their mission statement is to put history into accord with the facts.
But what they're really well known for, in addition to that, that's their claim to fame, I guess you could say, but in addition to that, how beautifully and wonderfully produced their products are.
And this book is certainly no exception.
And, you know, Clint, we do a Confederate History Month series every April on this program.
We've been doing it since 2004.
And during that month, really throughout the year, but especially in that month, we go heavy on celebrating the history and the heroes of the Confederacy.
It is a celebration.
Now, this book is not a celebration, but I think it is very important.
What was it after World War II, a certain group of people said, never forget.
Our people should never forget both the heroism of the Confederates and what they suffered.
And this book brings to light some suffering that took place in Missouri that has been brushed under the historical rug and should be remembered.
The suffering of our people.
Suffering forges culture.
You cannot be one as a people unless you have suffered together.
And very few people have suffered like Southerners.
And the suffering is something we should remember too.
And so while this isn't a book that's going to make you feel good, it's a book that you need to have.
Well, I appreciate those kind words.
It is a unique subject.
And it kind of addresses two wars, the actual war of when it occurred and the propaganda war now that has been waged to cover it up.
I mentioned two primary people in this book who have done a good job trying to cover it up locally and in the press.
And I also detail the reasons why we're not.
Hold on right there, Clint.
I know we only have you for really one segment tonight, and we've had some schedule conflicts with you, but I would like to keep you over just for another maybe one or two minutes in this next segment to wrap this up.
I didn't want to cut you off right there and give you an opportunity to add a couple of thoughts on the book that perhaps we didn't cover.
Stay tuned, and then we're going to move on, folks.
We'll be right back.

Hi, it's Joyce Riley with the Power Hour.
There's something really fun and exciting about discovering products that make life more pleasant and enjoyable.
Well, Miracle 2 soaps definitely fit that description.
The shelves at the supermarket are packed with soaps and cleansers that are full of chemicals that slowly destroy our health and the environment.
Miracle 2 products are all natural, like the green soap that can replace your bath, laundry, household soaps, and cleaning products.
And please try Miracle 2's skin lotion.
It's quickly absorbed and not greasy like all those other mass-produced lotions.
Miracle 2 Moisturizer is full of fabulous oils and emollients that leave the skin healthy and baby soft.
I guarantee after you discover how amazing Miracle 2 products are, you'll recommend them to everyone you know.

We fought, we learned, we struggled, we won.
Despite Obama's best efforts, the newspaper of the human resistance survives.
We have lived only to face a new nightmare, the war against the machines.
Read about our struggle in The Sovereign, newspaper of the resistance.
The Sovereign is a 24-page monthly tabloid newspaper about the war between man and machinery.
We've tried reason.
We've tried legislation.
We've tried every peaceful means imaginable.
And all it's gotten us is shut out.
So now we fight the machines.

And now back to tonight's show.
All right, everybody.
So Clint Lacey is with us.
He is the author of the book, Blood of the Ozarks, Union War Crimes Against Southern Sympathizers and Civilians in Occupied Missouri.
Two words, never forget.
And I think this book, though not celebrating one of our southern heroes, is a book that should be part of any collection on the war between the states, Lincoln's War of Northern Aggression, whatever you prefer.
I'm going to read the back cover very quickly.
Deep in the eastern Ozarks of Missouri, a battle still rages about a Union massacre of Southern civilians that happened on Christmas Day, 1863.
While some call it a simple rescue mission to liberate Union soldiers, others claim it was mass murder, which included women and children.
No surprise there, knowing the North and really what our country did in World War II.
The Civil War was a bitter and brutal conflict, but perhaps never more so than in the state of Missouri, where the wounds of the Kansas border war still festered.
The inhumanity of the conflict was punctuated with Union war crimes, especially in the eastern Ozarks.
There, civilians were targeted in an effort to subjugate the fierce fighting men battling Union forces in the region.
As a result of this policy, 27,000 Missouri citizens were killed during the war.
Here is the uncensored history of that bitter and bloody time in American history that many mainstream historians have tried desperately to cover up.
Again, the author is Clint Lacey.
We are offering this fine book, very well produced, for anyone who can contribute $100 in war to the political cesspool before September 30th.
And we've had people doing it all over the country this month.
We still have a ways to go.
This book is worth it, ladies and gentlemen.
And of course, Clint is, in addition to its author, a friend of ours and a former elected official in Missouri.
Clint, any key aspect of this book that you would like to relate to the audience that perhaps we haven't covered yet?
I mean, obviously, in a very short amount of time, we haven't covered very much, and there's much more to cover.
But what would be the one thing you'd really want people to keep in their minds, stick in their minds when thinking about your work here?
I want them to know just how brutal it really was here.
You know, I don't know how many people out there remember the war in Kosovo and Bosnia and how brutal that was.
Well, it was about like that here.
Old grudges were settled with war being used as an excuse, and Union militia was willing to do whatever they had to do to subdue the rebellion.
Sometimes that included starvation, murder, imprisonment, the burning of homes, theft, you name it.
It happened here.
Well, folks, we will never forget who we are on this radio program.
We're all the sons of Confederate veterans.
And yeah, we're in the middle of a tempest with the Hillary Clinton campaign.
We've been thrust into the presidential politics, Trump campaign officials answering questions about our support this week.
But in the middle of it all, what anchors us is knowing who we are.
We are a Christian people.
We are a good people.
We are a southern people.
Now, I know we have listeners throughout every region in this country and in many countries around the world.
In fact, we received a contribution from Brazil just recently and a very fine letter from that gentleman.
And so we understand that, but you need to know this too because you are part of our extended family.
But especially for the Southerners, we celebrate our achievements and we remember our suffering, and that forges a culture.
That is why this book needs to be part of your collection, and we wouldn't endorse it and offer it to you if it was not of the highest caliber.
And we're thankful to Clint Lacey for writing it, most importantly, but then also for coming on with us for a few minutes tonight to offer us a little more information about it.
Remember, folks, we need you.
And I think we are really the only organization that I know of that we give a gift to people who contribute.
And we always send you a thank you letter too.
We try to let it be known to our audience just how much they are a fabric of what this show does and certainly part of our listening family as well.
Clint, thanks for taking a few minutes out of your schedule tonight to share with us from the horse's mouth why you wrote the book.
Well, thank you very much for having me on, and I'm really honored that you're using this book as a fundraiser.
Well, we're going to try to move as many copies as we can, ladies and gentlemen.
You can help us move a few more this very segment if you're listening to us on the internet and not on the AM dial.
Go to thepolitical Successful.org and contribute tonight.
Everything helps.
We just got a contribution from a gentleman in Canada for $20.
Thank you, sir, for that.
Just moments ago, somebody bought the book.
Gerald in Memphis, $100.
Thank you, Gerald.
Ken in New York, $25, all within the last few minutes.
But folks, listen, this is a nationally syndicated radio show.
We don't take a salary, but our budget is not cheap.
And, of course, we're out there getting hammered by Hillary Clinton, by all of her lapdogs in the media.
And it takes money, I'm afraid to say, to fight back effectively.
And believe me, I want you to know the last thing I want to do, the thing I hate most doing, in fact, is wasting any time on this show fundraising.
It's the last thing I want to do.
It's the worst part about my job.
We try not to fundraise constantly on this show.
We try to keep it to just the four quarterly fundraisers, the four months out of the year where we try to go hard and heavy so we can give you eight months where you're not worrying about it.
But it takes everything we can get to keep going.
And this year, especially, I wish we didn't have to do this, but without your help, ladies and gentlemen, we're not here.
And the last thing I think any of us want is to give these thugs in the media who make a living out of attacking us the satisfaction in knowing that we couldn't make it.
Now, we've been on the air for 12 years.
For 12 years, our needs have been met because of a loyal and faithful and generous audience that we've got out there and because of God's grace.
And we ask that you continue, ladies and gentlemen.
Don't stop now.
I know this year we have leaned on you a little more heavily than in other years.
We've had the lawsuit.
We are the plaintiffs in a lawsuit against the Detroit News.
And I really went back and forth about whether or not we should file that lawsuit because I knew it would be costly.
I knew it would be expensive.
And it would be above and beyond our regular budget.
But really the thing that got me to commit to doing it was, number one, if I don't defend my name, if I don't defend my rights to not be libeled, then how can you trust me to safeguard your rights?
If I won't even stand up for my family's name, James Edwards is not just my name.
It's the name of my father and of my grandfather and of my Confederate ancestors and going all the way back many, many, many hundreds of years back into Europe.
This is my name.
If I won't stand up and defend my name in a court of law, how can I be a champion for you?
So we went forward with the lawsuit.
I hope we'll win it.
I hope justice will be served.
But it wasn't free.
Lawyers aren't free, ladies and gentlemen.
And so that continues on.
We went to Cleveland to the Republican Convention.
Travel isn't cheap.
It's above and beyond our normal budget, our normal operating expenses.
But if we're going to be in the middle of this, we have got to be where the action is.
And so to go up there was, I think, a great boost and boon to this program's credibility and legitimacy.
I think we have every bit as much credibility and legitimacy as anyone else.
And you have to go to places like this in order to continue to solidify that and to go forward.
But Cleveland wasn't cheap or easy or free.
And then, of course, we have a regular operating budget.
And we're just in the thick of this every week.
I'm going to get off of it now, but I wanted to have Clint on to talk about the book, to talk about the fundraising drive.
We were at the post office today.
A smattering of returns.
And believe me, folks, I'm not diminishing that.
I am thankful for every cent.
We had a lady, a dear lady, donate $1 the other day.
$1 from a lady on a fixed budget may be the same level of sacrifice as $100 from somebody who's a little bit better off.
It all matters.
It all adds up.
We need it all.
And folks, just look at what you've done.
Look at what you've done.
Not what James Edwards, Eddie Miller, Keith Alexander, or any of the others.
We're proxies.
We're here, and we serve at your pleasure as your voice.
But look at what you've done.
Look at where you're at.
You are getting hammered by the Washington Post every day.
You are getting hammered by Jack Tapper.
You are getting hammered by Hillary Clinton.
Because through us, you have a voice in radio.
And we're the only voice in radio you've got here on this network.
And you better believe it.
So please donate tonight if you can.
And we'll keep you posted.
We're going to ship gears right after this.
Claiming liberty across the land.
You're listening to Liberty News Radio.
With news this hour from LibertyNewsDaily.com, I'm William Grigg.
In August, as Louisiana was trying to recover from devastating floods, Donald Trump made a brief but politically significant visit to the region to express sympathy for the victims and hand out relief supplies.
For her part, notes Louisiana resident and American conservative contributor Rod Dreer, Hillary Clinton was at Lady Rothschild's mansion on Martha's Vineyard at a $50,000 a plate fundraiser.
For the rest of the month, Mrs. Clinton all but disappeared from public view while she conducted fundraising events.
She emerged during the first week of September at a Manhattan LGBT fundraiser organized by Barbara Streisand, during which she gave a speech dismissing half of Trump's supporters as deplorables, some of whom are supposedly irredeemable.
This Friday night, while she's at home in Chappaqua, recovering from what is said to be pneumonia and perhaps contemplating her weakening position in the polls, husband Bill will be at another elite Manhattan venue, the Rainbow Room, high atop the Rockefeller Center, hosting, wait for it, a fundraiser, continues Drer.
Politico describes the gathering as a belated celebration of Bill Clinton's 70th birthday.
Among those scheduled to perform at the event are Streisand, Trumpet Virtuoso Wynton Marsalis, and John Bon Jovi.
Seats at the event begin at $50,000 with a top ticket going for $250,000.

Folks, we've had to reshuffle the agenda for tonight's program several times this week because every time we thought we had a gameplay lined up, we had to call an audible because there was more news coming out against us.
I was able to cram most of that into the first hour.
Then we had a guest and then we had to move scoop to the last part of this hour.
Keith went down to Oxford and he's probably still smarting because old Miss coughed up another lead and lost to Alabama.
But he's on his way back from Mississippi.
And so, Keith, I didn't think you were going to be able to make it by six o'clock considering the game wasn't even over by then.
But we are glad to hear you are on the line with us now.
And we're going to try to cram two hours of commentary into 10 minutes of radio time.
So whatever you want to talk about, I'm not going to talk.
I'm going to give it all to you.
Fire away, brother.
Well, let's talk about the Trump campaign and what's going on now.
Okay.
First of all, Trump's initiative with minorities.
How is that working out?
Well, we'll see.
Okay.
Here's what will happen.
This will be the acid test for the minorities, basically.
What will happen is this.
If they really want middle-class jobs and want to, you know, work, they're going to vote for Trump.
If they'd rather sound welfare, sleep till noon, commit crime to, you know, supplement their income, they're going to vote Democrats.
So we'll sit back and work.
Sit back and watch it.
What do you think?
Well, I'll tell you this.
I actually saw a poll, and again, you can believe in the polls or not believe in them, but one poll showed Trump at 0%, between 0% and 1% in black support a month or two ago.
The most recent poll, as of just a couple of days ago, shows him at about 19.5%, which is a pretty significant jump, I guess.
Yeah, well, if he gets below 25%, I'll say that there's hope.
Okay.
He's at 65% of the white vote, by the way.
Yeah.
Well, is that going to put him over the top?
I think he's going to win the thing now.
That's my opinion.
What do you think?
Well, I certainly hope so.
If my vote casts the deciding one, he's certainly going to do it.
I can tell you that much.
Well, I do really think this is the last chance.
If Hillary gets in and does what she has promised to do, like grant asylum to all these refugees and then make all of these illegal aliens legal and voting for Democrats, we've seen the last Republican president we're going to see in our lifetime.
Well, that's absolutely right.
Especially if they continue to cuck.
And Trump is a one in the million Republican candidates.
He's really the only one besides Buchanan that I've seen that isn't completely cucked.
And so, right.
And time's running out.
There's not many grains of sand left in that hourglass, the proverbial hourglass.
So we can't wait for the next Trump or Buchanan to come up.
We better take advantage of this opportunity while it's before us.
He's got to get in.
And quite frankly, I don't care how he gets in.
He just needs to get in.
You know, he's got to, you know, I don't know about all this Russian hacking and whatnot, but if he doesn't get in, it's all over by the shouting.
You know, it's America will be third world America.
Well, that first debate is coming up, ladies and gentlemen, in nine days.
September 26th, I think yesterday was the deadline for the media to finish their articles declaring the winner.
And so I look forward to those.
They're already written.
We know that.
Any predictions for that, Keith?
What are we going to see in nine days?
Will Hillary have a seizure?
I mean, certainly the media is going to spin it as she won it, no matter who says what.
But any expectations that you have.
What he needs to do is put all the pressure he possibly can on her.
It needs to be full court press from the starting whistle to the final whistle.
And if he does that, there is a chance that she'll crack under the pressure because anything short of a complete meltdown is going to be reported by the mainstream media as a win for Hillary.
Well, that's certainly true.
And if he can, though, I just can't wait because you're going to have 100 million people watching this.
If he can come in and knock it out of the park with the momentum firmly behind him right now, you're going to see desperation.
Of course, you and I, Keith, were talking about all of the articles written about this program this week, how desperate they are.
You're going to see desperation, the likes of which you've never seen before from media, from Clinton.
And of course, she's used to being completely coddled by the media, by her insulated campaign team.
And she's never really run a high-profile race, I guess, against Lazio for the New York Senate.
But, you know, she's used to being part of the apparatus with not having to earn it.
She was giving the Secretary of State.
She was giving the first ladyship because Bill knocked her up and married her.
She's not used to being challenged.
She's going to get challenged next week.
Well, here's what I think.
Here's what I predict.
I predict that Trump will win it because he speaks the language of the average American voter.
Hillary is an elitist.
She's a snob in common everyday parlance.
And it's going to come across that she is.
And then the mainstream media and the establishment will do what it does best, which is cheat to help her win the election.
On the other hand, we may have the Russians as a wildcard coming in here and trying to bollock things up to favor Trump.
And won't that be a circus if that happens?
Well, I saw an article today, Trump is doing everything right.
This was by NBC.
So now I think they're in the grief stages.
They're beginning to enter into the acceptance stage.
But Trump's a showman.
I think he's going to come out.
I think he's going to be prepared.
His new campaign team seems very, very on point.
And this thing is increasingly his to lose right now.
He's up in a lot of the polls.
It's totally swung in a lot of the battleground states.
And we are here about six weeks out from the election, somewhere around that, right?
So then you have Hillary's health.
I mean, that's one thing we haven't talked about, Keith, is Hillary's health.
Happened last week in New York where she fainted and she was wearing the ante seizure glasses and she had pneumonia.
She wasn't sickness.
She had pneumonia.
And who knows what's going on with that?
But it certainly hurt her in the polls as well.
Look, they're going to try to steal the election, you know, hide and watch.
That's going to happen.
And let's say they succeed in doing it.
They don't care if she's on life support.
You know, Tim Kaine is ready to step in there and do her job and probably do it better than she could do it.
So on the other hand, the Russians are hacking and the Democrats are afraid that they can add 100 votes to every voting machine, every one of these DIBOL voting machines.
So consequently, you know, let's say that Trump wins, which is the outcome we want.
But well, the old saying is well begun is half done, right?
Then he's going to have to create the Trump news network, and he's also going to have to boot out.
He's going to have to be like the celebrity apprentice and tell Mar Lyason and Nina Totenberg and all the regular crew over at NPR, you're fired and put in his people because he's going to have to get some type of media that is positive towards him.
Otherwise, the establishment media is just going to be, it's going to be like a firing squad.
You know, they're just going to be what they're going to do is the first time he tries to issue an executive order, they're going to use that as grounds to try to impeach him.
You know, just like they did, you know, they showed us once back when they impeached Richard Nixon.
No, you little people need to get over.
You can't select the president.
You select the president and then we'll unselect him.
Okay.
That's what they did with Nixon.
And they'll try to do that with Trump too, I predict it.
That very well may happen, Keith, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.
Let's just get across this bridge first and make sure we don't have Hillary Clinton immediately in there.
He's got to be ready to move in with the Trump News Network and also with a total refurb retooling of NPR because he's going to need to.
You're absolutely right.
He's going to need some people that will give him safe harbor in the press.
Certainly, we've been doing it all year to much fanfare and too much attack.
And let's not forget, too, Julian Assange is still out there.
WikiLeaks is still out there and he's promising another October surprise that's going to knock Hillary's socks off.
She already lost her shoe and I'm really surprised and pleasantly surprised.
I thought this email stuff would put everybody to sleep.
But apparently the steady drip of all this negativity about her emails is having its effect.
That's why, you know, so many people, there's more than 50% of the population thinks that she's totally untrustworthy.
So, you know, that's going to have an effect.
Also, for the first time in memory, third-party candidates normally work against the Republicans.
This election cycle, it looks like they're going to work against the Democrats because the two strongest third-party candidates, Gary Johnson of the Libertarian Party and Jill Stein of the Green Party, are going to be taking liberal Democratic votes away from Hillary.
And that's actually, that's what's causing the figures to converge now, where it's basically a dead heat between Trump and Hillary.
It's all these, you know, half-hearted Democratic Bernie bros and whatnot that are jumping shit from Hillary and jumping on to Gary Johnson or Jill Stein.
Excellent analysis and commentary, Keith.
And of course, this thing is by no means clinched for Trump, to say the least, but he's in the best shape he's been since the campaign started with regards to his one-on-one with Hillary.
Of course, he ran roughshod through the primary.
He's in the best position he's been against Hillary since day one.
And we've got a puncher's chance to win this thing.
I only wish we had more time with you tonight, Keith.
We'll talk about what happened at the game, and I'm working on something next week.
I'm going to tell Eddie about it later on in the program.
And I'll call you after the show, and I'll tell you what I'm working on, and maybe we can work on it together.
It involves a little out of town for the political session correspondent next year on the Liberty News Radio Network.
My family is a very interesting family because we're what you would call a stable family.
My family doesn't smoke or drink because my mother brought me up in a Christian home.
I guess that's what kind of has kept me straight because I've always looked up to the Lord.
Every day, an estimated 3,000 teens start smoking.
My parents always taught me, you know, the difference between right and wrong.
They always taught me that smoking isn't right because physically it's not good for you and also mentally, it affects you.
And they always talk, always try to do the right thing because it catches things catch up to you in life sooner or later.
I think kids learn behavior patterns from their parents because they're the people that they mostly see.
They're the people who we love and respect.
So the people who you love the most and respect the most from is who you tend to take things from.
Smoking.
If you think you're old enough to start, you're smart enough to stop.
A public service message from this station and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Are you familiar with the term vigor?
Strength in body and mind?
He pursued his tennis game with vigor, for example.
Well, I hadn't, but I learned about it from Kurt Crosby.
All right, and he actually let me take a scientifically proven free vigor test.
And I got 13 out of 32, not very good.
But I worked on it with him, and believe it or not, now I have a 29 out of 32 and improving vigor score.
You say, Sam, what on earth is this scientific vigor score, huh?
My response is, you got to take the free test available now.
Get a hold of Kurt Crosby to learn about it.
The number's 801-669-2211.

All right, busy show.
As always, we're in the middle of everything going on out there in the political world, but hey, we've got a lot of talent, too.
And we're bringing on Jim Lancia, our criminal justice correspondent.
As you know, Hillary has smeared Donald Trump's supporters as a basket of deplorables, as racists, as white supremacists, as homophobe, Islamophobes, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
Now you have the Fundamental Order of Police endorsing Donald Trump, the largest police union.
So you can include them in the basket of deplorables versus the good guys, the sodomites, the people who commit abortions, and all of these other people.
Those are the good guys, and the deplorables are the police, hardworking, taxpaying, God-fearing, middle-class, working-class middle-Americans.
Well, anyway, interesting segment now.
Scoop Stanton, our D.C. correspondent, is going to interview Lancia, our criminal justice correspondent.
He's a former police officer about the FOP's endorsement.
Take it, Scoop.
How are you doing, James?
Can you hear me all okay?
Are you okay, buddy?
Take it away.
Okay, I'm sorry.
First, we need to remember Police Officer Tim Bracken of the Shelby, North Carolina Police Department, who lost his life September the 12th in a shootout.
We also want to remember Correction Officer Kenneth Bettis of the Alabama Department of Corrections, who stabbed on September the 1st and succumbed to his wounds on the 16th.
Fortunately, his attacker is still alive, but Alabama thankfully has the death penalty.
As a surprise to nobody, the fraternal order of police or FOV has endorsed Donald Trump for president.
Hillary hadn't even started off the endorsement of the FOV, and we all know how the Democrats love unions.
Hillary will take endorsements from Washington Insiders, legal NA groups, and Black Lives Matter without the 250,000 members of the Fraternal Order of Police and their families and their supporters.
To explain why before the FOV endorsement, we have D.C. Publico Assessable Criminal Justice Court correspondent and Call of Duty extraordinaire Jim Lancey online.
Jim, how we doing?
I'm doing good, Scoop.
Thanks.
Thanks for the introduction.
No problem.
Just let everybody know, this is the first time I saw him and Mr. Lancelia have appeared online together or on the air together.
But anyways, Jim, why would the Fraternal Order of Police endorse Trump?
Oh, well, I'm not surprised at that at all.
I mean, every cop I talk to, whether they're active or retired, is undoubtedly going for Trump.
I mean, they all realize that if Trump doesn't get in, there's almost no future for cops in this country because it's the way things are going.
It's just not looking good for cops as far as being able to do their jobs.
And that's all they want to do is be able to do their jobs.
But of course, with the regime that's in there now and with Hillary Clinton possibly, you know, who can possibly actually be the president in the future, it's a scary situation for cops because as you can see now, there is a war on cops, and you just read off a few more casualties.
Well, let me give you an interesting fact here.
In 2013, police deaths by gunfire were at their lowest in 126 years, believe it or not.
I put that in my book.
But now they're going up.
I'm not sure they're at record highs now, but they have gone up drastically in the past couple of years simply because of the Black Lives Matter movement and the open season on cops by our politicians.
See, before in the past, I mean, cops were always targets, and they always accepted that as part of their jobs.
But now they're targets, but they're backed.
The ones targeting cops are being backed by our politicians right up to the Department of Justice.
Wow.
But, Jim, let's say you're President Trump's FBI director.
What would you tell President Trump to stop the slaughter of cops in the street?
I would actually tell them to let the cops do the job as they are trained to do it.
There doesn't have to be a new ideology.
There doesn't have to be a new form of training.
All you have to do is let them do the job the way they always have because it actually works.
See, crime was at an all-time high in the late 80s and early 90s, but it actually went down drastically for a while.
And now it is on a sharp rise again.
See, we actually did cut crime down because of aggressive policing.
But see, aggressive policing to who deserves to have aggressive policing, the thugs, the thugs, the criminals.
And it worked.
But of course, now with a thug president in there for the past eight years, crime has gone off.
But what I would tell them is just let the cops do their job.
They have a lot of training and things will get back to normal.
But that's not what they want.
And that's not what this regime wants.
And that's not what Hillary Clinton would do if she got in.
So you're saying if the government stayed out of local law enforcement's business and let them handle business like New York did, like you did back in the day, then we'll have more officers going home at the end of the shift?
Absolutely.
Not only will we have more officers going home at the end of the shift, you'll have more people not dying and not being robbed and not being burglarized.
I mean, crime would go down.
So it's not just for the cop, which of course I do care about, and I know this station cares about, but it's also for the average citizen, the average hardworking citizen, the same people you guys have been talking about as, you know, underrepresented in this country.
They're the ones that are becoming victims of crime now with this upscale crime, the elderly, the young, you know, just anybody that that's a target is a target now, and cops are out there to protect them.
And if this doesn't change, if this war on cops and how they perform their duties doesn't stop, I believe it's just going to get, like you guys said, it's going to be a third world nation.
Crime is just going to be just out of control, and then they're going to use drastic measures to try to stop it.
And that's what they've been talking about, using the UN and federalizing police.
We don't need to.
That's why we've always had local police departments.
Like you said, New York, Bridgeport, LA, they handled their own crime.
They handled their own law enforcement.
That's how it should be.
No new ideas, no new ideology.
Go back to the old way.
It works.
It could never be perfect when you're dealing with crime and when you're dealing with people.
It'll never be perfect, but it worked.
It worked as good as it possibly can.
Wow.
All right.
Jim, who do you see as having the ear of a President Trump to try to fix policing in the 21st century?
Because we all know in the past eight years, it went right to hell.
We went from Giuliani to Barack Obama.
But who do you see in Trump's stable of supporters to take the lead and tell Trump, hey, let the cops do their job or send the Marshals go knock on doors with the locals?
You know, the one name I think that I could think of that has stood out is Sheriff Clark, a guy like Sheriff Clark.
I mean, to me, he's withstood the barrage of political ideology that they're trying to get him to go along with the program.
But he seems to be a guy that would actually be a good leader as far as our law enforcement.
The people they have in there now are just absolutely unfit to be there.
I mean, law enforcement is a joke today, right?
Up to the FBI.
I mean, people I talk to myself, I feel that there is definitely a double standard.
People like Hillary Clinton, the president, or Eric Holder, Loretta Lynch, they could break the law repeatedly over and over again.
And if any citizen or even politician did one iota of what they did, they'd definitely be in prison and would deserve to be there.
But these people could break the law with impunity.
So, yeah, I would pick a guy like Sheriff Carr because I think he's a boots on the ground type of cop, and he has a lot of experience, and I think he's level-headed.
There's others out there.
There's plenty others out there, but there's less and less.
There's less and less.
Hey, Scoop, before you go on, brother, Eddie the Bometer-Miller has come in, and he wanted to ask Jim a quick question before he runs.
Go, Eddie.
Hey, hey, James, you know what?
Give Eddie my time because I know Eddie and Jim would make a great, great conversation.
So I yield my time to Obama Deere.
Take it away, Eddie.
Hey, great job tonight, Scoop.
Appreciate you, brother.
Thank you very much.
Jim, this is Eddie of Obama Deer Miller here.
I know all about you.
I never heard anything but good.
I'd like to make a statement and then ask you a question.
You made a statement that's something that's very punched one of my buttons.
You mentioned the United Nations and the federalization of the police department.
My statement is that's the goal.
You nailed it.
The goal of the dark government, the black ops, is to completely do away with local police departments controlled by the local populace.
Especially they want to get rid of, especially want to get rid of the sheriffs because they're elected by the people.
They want to do that.
Okay, we know, we know some of the civilians that are behind some of the most atrocious crimes in the country, like George Soros.
George Soros is independently funded.
We know that Black Lives Matter.
He's funded it to stir up, to create chaos, to create confusion, to create terror.
And his purpose is to do away with these, like we talked about, to do away with the police as we know it.
My question to you now, Jim, is we know these people like to do.
Why do we not have people going out and arresting the George Soros' of the world?
Why do we not have at least people that are in a position to do so to at least finger him and point him out and say, this is the head of the snake?
Why not?
Why about that, Jim?
Oh, that's a good question.
And I ask that to myself every day.
Where are the higher-up law enforcement officials?
Where's the congressman with authority?
Where are these people?
George Soros should have a warrant on for what he's doing.
And you're right.
There's not enough people of power standing up from regular sheriffs, from chiefs of police.
These are people with power, but they're not using it.
And that's why we are where we are today.
It seems like there's a lot of fear, and no one wants to use the power of their office to go against the tide of what is destroying this country.
And it is destroying this country.
And George Soros is public enemy number one.
We got to let you go, brother.

We'll be back.
