Time Text
You're listening to the Liberty News Radio Network, and this is the Political Cesspool.
The Political Cesspool, known across the South and worldwide as the South's foremost populist conservative radio program.
And here to guide you through the murky waters of the Political Cesspool is your host, James Edwards.
You know how they say how difficult it is to walk at you bubblegum at the same time?
Well, I'm trying to text Scoop Stanton and host a nationally syndicated radio program at the same time.
Not easy.
But anyway, welcome back to the Political Cesspool Radio Program.
I'm your host, James Edwards.
Saturday evening.
I wish I could tell you what day it was.
Oh, May the 2nd.
Oh, here we are in May.
My goodness.
Time flies by so fast once you start having kids.
You know, I got a five-year-old daughter.
I got a six-month-old son.
And for the last five years, a year is a day and a day is a second.
I mean, I just can't tell you how fast the years are rolling by now when you're just so busy with fatherhood and being a husband and a breadwinner and a radio show host.
It goes by, friends.
It goes by.
I'm trying to hang on to it.
You know, I'll be 35 this summer.
I was 24?
Yeah, 24 years old when I started the radio show.
Scary stuff.
But I'll tell you, you know, and I mentioned this last week.
You know, another problem, we've focused in on a lot of factors, all, by the way, that I feel are very legitimate.
The factors mentioned by Keith Alexander, myself earlier in the show, the factors brought forth by the caller by Sean Bergen.
Another thing, though, is that, and I mentioned this last week for a separate topic, but, you know, you go back to, again, liberalism and this war against decency, this war against God.
There is no God.
You all evolved from animals.
Well, you tell people they evolved from animals, and guess what?
That's going to play a role in them behaving like animals.
And we're starting to see that now more and more.
You tell them they come from a creator, God, who loves them and created them in his image, and they might just act godly.
You know, I mentioned that last week, but I mean it.
I went to the eye doctor this week.
I have high blood pressure.
I host the political cesspool.
What do you think?
I have high blood pressure.
And I was having some, I was seeing spots.
So I went to the optometrist, and everything's fine now, so don't worry about me.
But he took a picture, a very, and I have a good eye doctor.
I have good doctors.
I need them.
I may need them more and more the more I do this show.
But I went to my optometrist.
He took a very advanced scan of my eye.
It was 200 times magnified.
And I looked at it.
I'm going to put it on the website this week at thepolitical Cesspool.org.
If you ever wanted to see the inner eye of James Edwards, take a look because I'm going to put it on the website in a few days.
But, you know, something as intricate and as perfect as the human eye just screams creation.
You have to have a lot more faith than I do to believe that all of a sudden from nothingness came energy.
And from that energy came the Big Bang and the universe.
And from inorganic matter came organic matter.
And from that, we evolved from swimming things to something as perfect as a human being.
And believe me, folks, we are perfect.
A perfect creation, fearfully and wonderfully made, in my opinion.
And just looking at my eye and the way they had it in this picture, it looked like the sun.
It looked like the universe.
It was just perfect.
Anyway, I didn't intend to talk about that, but I'm just saying, I mean, there is a war being waged by their government and their media.
It's not our government.
It's not our media.
Against everything good, holy, and decent.
And this is a factor that should be remembered as well.
But as my friend Sam Dixon wrote earlier this week, whenever we are tempted to despair at the odds facing us, keep in mind that facts and events will argue for us more and more.
And you look at what's happening in Baltimore.
You look what's happening around politically, and we're being proven right to a far greater extent than we could ever argue for ourselves.
Natural events and the way of the world and the differences between people are being proven in nature and on the streets on a daily basis, the likes of which we could never match.
And it's just, you know, my heart goes out to the real victims in Baltimore, which was those police officers who were charged this week.
I mean, we don't have all the facts yet.
But one thing that has come out, even in the last commercial break, is that, according to Fox News, this Freddie Gray was a friend of the police.
According to Fox News, he was some sort of a police informant.
He would act all crazy on the street, but he was actually supplying the police with information that led to the arrest of other thugs.
Yes, I called him thug.
I saw this one idiot.
I think it's Congressman Cummings or Senator Cummings up in Baltimore saying, well, if you're going to call him thug, you might as well just call him the N-word, except he didn't say the N-word.
He actually said the word.
Yeah, you might as well call him that.
Well, hey, if that's what they're acting like, you called him that.
Maybe other people should call them that too, if that's your opinion and your recommendation, senator, congressman, whatever you are.
But it turns out that this Freddy guy is apparently, according to Fox News now, a friend of the police, some sort of an informant.
That's not to say that he had immunity.
Obviously, he was arrested when he broke the law, which was frequently.
But anyway, I digress.
But I did want to work in that, that, you know, God is good.
And it all goes in together.
The fatherlessness, you know, the lack of a role model and a father in a lot of these black homes plays a role.
The lies that they've been told by liberals plays a role.
The war on God plays a role.
Genetic predisposition plays a role.
Low IQ plays a role.
All of that plays a role.
It all goes in together.
And you've got this powder keg, this tinderbox that afflicts the people that are out there on the streets of Baltimore.
Poor impulse control.
This teaching, this indoctrination from birth that white people are your enemy and they're out to get you and you can do anything you want with immunity because it's justified.
It all plays a role.
Now, we can debate, you know, if you put it all in a pie, you put it in a pie and you say, well, this factor represents this much of the problem.
Hey, we could debate that.
But I think everything I just mentioned, it all goes in to the blender.
And the outcome is the kind of behavior we see in Baltimore and Ferguson.
And this is just the beginning.
Katrina, hey, when given an opportunity, these people are going to behave in this manner.
It's been proven time and time again.
And it's only going to get worse because all of the factors that I mentioned have been manipulated more and more over the years to the point where it's really getting to a breaking point.
I hope that Pat Buchanan was wrong about the coming race war.
I wish that the true leaders of the different communities would rise to the occasion and be put in place.
And a lot of this could be nullified.
It wouldn't surprise me if what we're seeing in Baltimore and Ferguson is just a ghastly preview of things more horrific to come.
It should not be allowed.
No legitimate country should allow things like this.
We've been talking about it for over two hours now.
But this is where we are in America.
You know, this is diversity and multiculturalism at its full and perverted extent.
And it's sad, and we're all suffering from it.
You know, they think they're empowered.
They think they're sticking it to the man.
But these black people are victims.
White people are the real victims, though, equally, if not more so.
And because it's my immediate family, they are the ones I am concerned with first and foremost.
But all Americans are suffering from this, even the people who believe that they are somewhat benefiting.
It's a lie, folks, and it's a lie for the pit of hell.
We'll be back.
Break the bond of Big Pharma.

Well, relax for just a moment.

Of what am I speaking, you ask?

The wisdom of the ages, the health care of the ancients, frankincense, myrrh, hysop, and hundreds of others too numerous to mention.
What could be more appealing?
Do you know that young living essential oils is an element of life that makes them extremely effective in body rejuvenation?

And now, back to tonight's show.
All right, folks, I got a very interesting story that we teased you about earlier in the show.
And this, again, is full credit given to Peter Scoop Stanton.
But this is something that is both, at the same time, infuriating and highly encouraging.
And what could be that?
Well, here it is.
Courtesy of Scoop, who I wish could be on with me right now, but unlike the people in Baltimore, he's at work.
So Scoop, as he mentioned during the first hour during his segment, went into Baltimore to see for himself what's going on so he could call in tonight and report to you good people and relate to you in eyewitness accounting.
Well, on his way out of Baltimore, he tuned in on the Patriot channel, the conservative talk channel of Sirius XM Radio, nationally syndicated.
And he hears the host talking about Baltimore.
Well, he had just left Baltimore, so he wanted to call in.
So Scoop calls in Sirius.
He tells them he's in Baltimore and wants to tell them basically what he told us.
And so he gets past the call screener and he's on the air live with the host.
And basically he says, hey, I'm Petey, you know, from the D.C. area, and I'm in Baltimore.
And apparently the guy asks him, you know, what he does.
And Scoop says, well, actually, I'm on the radio too.
I'm a correspondent for a show on Saturday night.
And the host laughs and he says, oh, I hope you're not one of my competitors.
He says, oh, no, you know, I work for the political cesspool.
Instantly, the host says, we don't talk to white supremacists.
Hangs up on Scoop before Scoop can set the record.
Straight anything.
Astonishing.
And here's what's so astonishing about it.
Scoop calls me, tells me what happened.
I didn't know he was calling in.
He was calling in out of the goodness of his heart to join the conversation and to give an eyewitness accounting, not just to us, but to this other show that he was listening to.
So he relays to me the message that this had just happened.
And I asked, well, what was the name of the show?
And he tells me the name of the show.
I had never heard of it.
I had never heard of the show.
I had never heard of the host, never heard of the show.
But they had heard of us.
That's the first thing.
They had heard of us.
It turns out that the show is called the Wilco Majority.
The Wilco Majority.
It's carried by Sirius XM Radio.
You would have to reason that the host of this show is bringing in six figures a year to be in talk radio.
I don't know the host name.
Again, I'd never heard of it before, but I did go to their website.
His name is Something Wilco.
The name of the show is the Wilco Majority.
His name is Something Wilco.
I don't know.
But he had instantly heard of us, or at least he had thought he had.
Now, any decent person would first go to the website of those who they want to seek to the fame and see what they say about themselves.
Even CNN, who is certainly a part of the liberal establishment media, had the decency to be honest.
Every time I've appeared on CNN, whether it's on their television programming or being interviewed by CNN website or some print publication associated with CNN, they have always accurately identified me as a conservative talk radio host.
Only people who spread the lies that were white supremacists and this that the other are the ADL and the SBLC.
So if this was some liberal hack I you know, it wouldn't necessarily surprise me that he was.
You know, using their talking points.
But this is somebody that pretends to be a conservative, a patriot.
Now, there's no better way to point out why conservatives always lose if so-called conservatives panty waste like this Wilco guy.
You know, lightweights like this Wilco guy are taking the talking points of the of the left to absolve themselves from the same sort of character assassination.
So that's the infuriating part.
Now, here we are, fighting the good fight for, for true conservative values, fighting for Red State America.
Now, i'm not going to back away from this one bit.
Not at all.
We are a pro-white broadcast.
We are a voice for our people.
First and foremost, I am thankful for every one of my listeners, no matter uh, what race, religion they are.
But we are a conservative, pro-white Christian radio show.
Now, pro-white causes people like this idiot Wilco to to be taken aback.
Well, what am I supposed to do?
I mean, should I hate myself?
Should I be anti-white?
Before I can curry favor with people like you, do I have to be anti-white?
Do I have to hate my ancestors and my cultural heritage before I can be accepted by the mainstream?
Well, if that's the case, I don't want any part of it.
I'll build my own media.
And here's the second thing.
That was the infuriating thing.
But the two things you have to remember are this and this, number one, I had never heard of him, but by god, he knew who we were.
Number one and number two, I did a little searching when I was researching this guy and, lo and behold, thepolitical Cesspool.org receives more traffic, is higher rated on Alexa UH than the Wilco Majority's website.
We have a bigger audience.
We don't know him, he knows us.
We have a bigger audience according to uh, you know uh uh uh, unbiased source.
How about that, folks?
Here we are.
This guy's probably making six figures.
Here we are.
You know how much we brought in this month 400.
You know we do good in the months where we do the quarterly fundraising drive.
It's enough to pay the bills and god knows.
I'm thankful for everybody who contributes to this show.
But here we are, you know, going up against the world.
Going up not just against the left, but the the the, the fake conservatives as well, and we're doing it with pennies and we're beating them in terms of audience.
We don't know them, they know us.
We've got a bigger audience and here we are on a shoestring and, by God, from the grace of god and the generosity of those who contribute to this show, this goes to show how much your 25 contributions and your 100 contributions can be stretched.
We are in the conversation with some of the biggest talkers in the country and they hate us, and they hate us for that, because we're not part of the establishment.
We are making our own media.
We're creating our own media thanks to people like uh Liberty NEWS Radio Network.
Um, the name is Andrew Wilco.
I come to find out that was just uh relayed to me.
Uh Matt, the Copperhead Matt, go quick.
Hey, what's going on, James?
Um, i'm sorry Andrew, who?
Yeah well, here's the thing I got actually, Exactly.
In addition to Scoop's report, I actually got emails from a couple of our listeners.
One, Philip in Arkansas and Robert in California, both listeners of the political cessible, actually both donors, contributors to this show.
And God bless you both, Andrew and Robert, who said they actually were tuned into that show when Scoop called in and they heard it for themselves.
What happened?
Very interesting.
I told him a few times myself that Copperhead had to chime in on some of those topics.
Listen, you're absolutely right, James.
We have, I would venture to say, doubled his audience easily.
You know, I'm everywhere.
I go everywhere throughout this country and I'm constantly talking to people and they're like, well, yeah, the political, I'm talking to pilots.
They're saying, yeah, the Cessbool.
I love this Cessbool.
It's like, well, you donate.
Help us along.
You know, grow us, grow with us.
And this whole notion that we're a white supremacist radio show is bunk.
We just had Reverend Manning on.
We have listeners from Sri Lanka that donate to us.
We have people from all walks of life that listen to this show.
Well, that's absolutely right.
And we're thankful for all of them.
I mean, we don't back away from the fact that we defend our people like everyone is entitled to and that everyone should do.
You know, rightly so.
And we don't shy away from the fact that, you know, that's first and foremost motivates our message.
But, you know, I believe we advocate something that's right for all Americans.
And I am thankful for the blacks, the Jews, whomever that listens to this show.
And we do have those listeners in those communities who don't just listen, but donate.
I can think of one, an attorney up in Philadelphia.
And I won't give his name, but donates every fundraising drive to the show.
And listen, I mean, great people.
Yeah, absolutely.
And our message, the bottom line is this: with our message: what we advocate, what we're pushing for, is good for all people in our country, of all walks of life.
No one else can doubt that our message is impure.
It's from the heart.
And we're resonating with more people than Andrew, I don't know, Wilco or his so-called majority.
Well, it's not a majority I want to be a part of, but I want to relay one more thing very quickly because we got a guest coming up.
But Matt the Copperhead, Strike Me Dead, was at the Memphis airport and overheard pilots talking about how they enjoyed the political festival.
Matt, true or false?
Absolutely.
Everywhere I go.
There you have it, ladies and gentlemen.
We'll be back.
Thank you, Copperhead, for calling in.
Always good to hear from you, brother.

Welcome back to the waning moments of tonight's live broadcast.
Well, we've covered some pretty sour and dire stuff over the course of the first two and a half hours of tonight's broadcast.
It's called the Political Cesspool for a Reason.
A lot of the things we have to cover on this show is unsettling and things we'd be better off not thinking about, but somebody has to set the record straight and speak for the dispossessed majority.
We take that as our mission each and every Saturday night, thanks to God's good graces and your good humor, ladies and gentlemen, who support and pray and contribute to this program.
But I want to tell you that with what time we have remaining this evening, we're going to try to wash all of that bad taste out of your mouth and leave you with something a little more uplifting and inspirational as we head into tonight's good evening until we can rejoin you next Saturday night.
And as I mentioned before, I had the honor of meeting a very dear, sweet lady last year when I was in Missouri.
And we got to talking.
And I believe if I'm not mistaken, and she can correct me if I'm wrong, but during the course of our conversation, she made mention of the fact that she enjoys or had taken note of our annual Confederate History Month series.
And so about a year later, as in last weekend, she calls me on the phone and says, hey, you know, you're doing the Confederate History Month series?
I've got a story to tell you.
And with that being said and the stage being set, I want to introduce you to my friend Sonny, and she's going to fill in the blanks.
Sonny, thanks for staying up late tonight and calling in to the political cesspool.
Well, thank you for the opportunity.
Entirely our honor, and I mean that sincerely.
Now, do you want me just to go ahead and tell about our family tree that concerns a Civil War, or do you have questions?
Well, I'll tell you what.
It's your domier dance floor, but we'll start there.
So you were relaying to me on the phone a few days ago that you are legitimately related to, in my opinion, one of the greatest Americans to ever live.
Let's start there.
Okay, unless you, I better give you a little history behind that, or to start with.
My name is actually Dolores Skidmore, the daughter of Albert Brian Skidmore.
That Brian is really after William Jennings Bryan, who ran for president twice, but didn't get it.
He was a silver guy.
And my mother's name was Helen.
And so anyhow, I was born in Illinois, a small town, Evansville.
And then, of course, I've been in radio.
I was a school teacher first, and I think that's why I was so interested in history.
I was a history major in college.
So the Skidmores originally came from England and settled around Kentucky.
So my great-grandfather, Monroe Skidmore, he bought a farm in southern Illinois.
And that's how the Skidmores got up to Illinois.
So during this, I think I told you this last year, but the audience didn't hear this.
During the Civil War, some of his family was on the Confederate side and some on the northern side.
So I guess after some of the battles, some of those ragtag soldiers were walking through different places.
And when they came by that farm, he let them spend the night in his barn.
That was a little story that the relatives kept telling.
So in our family tree, the most prominent would have been King Richard the Lionhearted and then Sir Francis Drake and Thomas Jonathan Jackson, nicknamed Stonewall.
And we'll get to that.
How about we'll get to that a little better a little later.
And you can trace this back verifiably.
I mean, you're talking, I mean, folks, as I was telling, I guess Sunny's her nickname, Dolores here, that, you know, when she walks, people should bow with that sort of a lineage.
And you can verify all this all the way back to the Lionheart.
My dad's relative, well, I guess of mine, too, in Kansas researched all of this stuff.
And then there was a lady in the Skidmore relatives in San Antonio, Texas also did it, and they were basically the same.
And I don't have that book.
I think my older sister has it, but she has to hunt it up.
This family tree was researched a long time ago.
I was very young and didn't pay too much attention to it because I was going to college and thinking about jobs and all of that.
But this lady had come to our house who did the research several different times.
And of course, my mom and dad were interested in talking to her.
And us younger people, we were doing something else usually.
But I remember her being there and some of this information.
As you get older, this information means more to you.
That's just the way it is, I guess.
So anyhow, this Jonathan or Thomas Jonathan Jackson was later nicknamed Stonewall.
And his dad was an attorney.
His parents came over from England also.
And he died when Stonewall was just two years old.
So back then, you know, ladies didn't work outside the home.
So she had these three little children without a husband.
So therefore, they were shifted around from other relatives.
and he spent time with his uncle who taught him to read.
Schools were not plentiful back then.
So anyway, once he learned, he just kept reading book after book.
And he became self-educated, but later went to an academy.
And from what I understand, I believe he did graduate from West Point.
So then right away, he got commissioned to go into the, I believe it was, yeah, the Mexican-American War.
And he served there about three years, but kept getting promotions.
So when the Civil War came about in 1861, he was a brigadier general already and was in the first battle of Bull Run.
And he was so strict with his men, he held that Confederate line right away.
And then there was a General Lee and a General B, B-E-E.
And the B, when he saw Jackson standing up there among all those Union forces and winning, he said or explained or exclaimed that Jackson was just like a stone wall standing there.
And that's how he got that nickname, and it stuck throughout the Civil War and after that.
So anyway, that's that story there.
Then he was in many other battles but kept winning.
And I think those battles were Antietam and Fredericksburg and on that Fredericksburg one.
That's where Lincoln noticed how he was winning.
So he sent extra troops down there from the north.
And being outnumbered, Jackson still won.
So that was making him one of the biggest generals ever, second only to Robert E. Lee.
Then he and Lee joined forces, and Lee wanted to capture that Harper's Ferry over in Maryland.
And Jackson went there first and had it all done before Lee ever got there.
And then at Chancellorsville, this is how he met his demise.
They were in a wooded area spending, I believe, the night, and some Confederate soldiers thought they were Union forces and fired in there and hit his left arm three times.
So he landed in a hospital, and General Lee sent a guy down there and said, give him my best regards.
He said, he lost his left arm, I, my right.
So you know what that meant.
And so then he got some, I think he was transferred to another hospital and got an infection and died at the age of 39.
And there's speculation, or was at that time in the South, that if he had lived, the South may have won.
But, you know, James, between you and me, I have my doubts because the Union forces had more men, more money, manufacturing, and they just had too much of an advantage over the South, I think.
I don't know what you think.
Well, there was definitely that speculation, and I think there was certainly a way for the South to have won.
I mean, it was not, obviously, without the, beyond the realm of possibility, but there was no doubt that they were outmanned and outnumbered, but never outfought.
And I don't know if the Confederates ever went in with an advantage in terms of firepower.
But I got to tell you, Sonny, I'm absolutely blown away.
You know, we do the Confederate History Month series every April, so we're actually a week beyond it now.
But I am so glad that you called me last week with this suggestion because you really have a firm hand.
Well, I had known about that for years and years, but I just didn't think too much about it.
You know, when you know something from little on, you just accept the fact and don't.
And I'm sure there are a lot of people around that have relatives that were big in the Civil War, but may not know it because, you know, our society has been so mobile that people moved around so much and sometimes they're far away and don't even know what's going on or don't know about their own history.
Undoubtedly, there are a lot of children in the South today who are direct lineage to any number of Confederate heroes, you know, both unnamed private and some that you can claim as family.
Obviously, it doesn't get much bigger than Stonewall Jackson, but are completely oblivious to it because, well, the things you were supposed to care for and safeguard have been taught to be discarded.
And of course, all of the things that you should keep at a distance have been taught to be embraced, which is something we lament quite often on this show.
But I am so glad that you called in and relayed that to us.
Very encouraging and uplifting to find someone who reveres their past and is proud of their ancestry.
I appreciate it.
Guy, his last words were, sounds like a military man.
Let us cross over the river and rest under the shade of trees.
Can you believe that?
That's something else.
How inspirational.
Yeah, how inspirational.
The king.
Gotta take a quick break, Sonny.
Sonny, hang on right there.
I hate to cut you off.
We'll let Stonewall's remarks take us into break.

As the United States boldly stepped forward in the glorious light provided by its new Constitution in 1787, the nations of the earth were in awe of the newfound strength and hope of this free land.
Today, the nation stands at a crossroads.
A divergence from the original intent put forth in the United States Constitution has brought grave threats to our beloved nation.
A miracle is needed if the United States is to survive.
That miracle is again the pure application of the United States Constitution.
I'm Scott Bradley.
In my To Preserve the Nation book and lecture series, I bring forth truths that will help raise up a new generation of statesmen like those noble Americans who founded this land.
Vigorous application of these principles will invigorate and restore the nation, and we may become again the freest, most prosperous, most respected, and happiest nation on earth.

All right, everybody.
Final segment of tonight's show, and it's been a barn burner.
And we always try to put forth our very best product each and every Saturday night.
And thanks to everyone for making this program possible.
We understand it is a show that skewers sacred cows.
And there may be people out there that disagree with us, but know that everything that we say, we say very earnestly, and it's very heartfelt and genuine.
And we're not here to make anybody upset, but by God, somebody has to stand up for what they believe in.
And you may not agree with us on everything, but know that everything that we do and say comes from a position that we feel is morally just and sound.
And of course, we're very proud of the work we do and very proud of the guests that we make available to you each and every week, every month, every year for a decade now and going strong.
And we're, of course, thankful to have with us tonight a very special lady from Missouri who is tracing back one heck of a lineage.
And Sonny, I was going to take the last couple of minutes tonight to wish farewell to the audience.
But is there anything else that you'd like to cover, ma'am, that we've not yet given you the opportunity?
I wanted to, I think my sister has a book, but she's almost 90, and I'd have to go up there and hunt it myself because she's an ex-school teacher and she's got books everywhere.
But anyway, also that King Ranch was in the Civil War somehow.
I remember hearing about that and the Skidmores had something to do with that, but I don't have enough information to talk intelligently about that.
And then you were talking, we were talking about Jackson.
Well, have you heard of the singer Stonewall Jackson?
Well, only because you told me about him a couple of days ago and put me wise.
Well, his wife was a teacher and she wrote his biography.
And in that, I didn't read it all, but I heard about a lot of it.
He was named after Stonewall Jackson.
That's his real name, Stonewall, which is unusual.
Ah, yes.
If you got time, I'll tell you something that sounds like a joke.
I worked in Nashville for a while.
And at that time, he was telling the story that he was stopped by a cop and asked his name, and he said Stonewall Jackson.
And that cop, knowing nothing about country music, said, and I guess you got Woodrow Wilson in the back seat.
And he said, yes, sir.
And when the cop looked at those, at their driver's license, there was Stonewall Jackson and Woodrow Wilson.
You know, Woodrow Wilson would be more of a common name.
Well, it's at least a little more recent, but in any case, a fun and uplifting in to what's been another difficult show because, you know, talking about these current events.
But I tell you, it is always encouraging when you talk to somebody who knows where they come from.
And I think that's something that is greatly lost in this day and age.
You know, people have no sense of self or of their culture and ancestry.
And if they do, they're taught to hate it or be displeased with it.
I think, James, when you hear this when you're little, you just accept the fact and don't realize that maybe it is important.
See, like my mother, her mother's last name was Glasgow, and somebody there came over on the Mayflower, and, of course, that makes good sense because Glasgow, Scotland, and they were Scotch-Irish, but nobody ever researched that family tree.
I just heard that from my aunts.
But somebody should have.
But, you know, that is a big, big job.
That lady from Kansas, she worked on that for years.
Well, I'll tell you.
Go ahead.
I'm sorry.
Go ahead.
Well, that's okay.
Well, I was just going to let you know before you go that we're getting a message from another dear lady in Missouri, no less, your neck of the woods, who says that this lady is a darling.
I wish she was my neighbor.
So, Sonny, here you are creating your own fan base tonight on our program, and very well deserved.
Well, we did announce that I would be on here sometimes this week, but it's getting kind of late.
I'm not sure how many people are up, and this is prom night, and various things are going on here in Poplar Bluff.
Well, if there's anybody in well, I'm telling you, you don't appreciate us half as much as we appreciate you.
And for anybody in Poplar Bluff who may be tuning in late, don't worry.
The broadcast archive of Sonny's appearance is going to be readily available as soon as we go off the air, or maybe a couple of hours from now, but soon, nevertheless.
And Sonny, let's make this a regular date and a regular occurrence.
Anytime you have something you want to share, you give me a call and you're put to the head of the line.
I give you my word.
I'll tell you what, James, we're going to try to get you on here every Saturday night.
We used to have you on, and then we went to a different network, but I'm going to do my best to get your show back here every Saturday night.
Well, we are in your debt for that.
And like I said, if there's ever anything we can do to repay the favor, you let it be known, and it will certainly be done.
And God bless you, Sonny.
You've perked me up tonight, and I know if I feel that way, the audience does as well.
And we're already getting feedback and correspondence to that effect.
Well, I thank you very much, James Edwards, and congratulations on your book.
Well, thank you very much.
And it was my honor to deliver one of those copies to you in the flesh.
And we thank you for all you do.
And we'll look forward to talking to you again sooner rather than later, we hope.
Okay, thank you very much, and I appreciate your time.
Our pleasure.
Thank you, Sonny.
Skidmore, everybody.
Give her a big round of applause, taking us near the end of the program tonight in high fashion.
And my goodness, you know, where can we go from there that would be any more positive than that?
Just a great lady.
And as I said, I had the opportunity to drive up to Missouri and meet her last year.
And she's even more charming in person.
I can tell you that.
And we will have her on this show as much as she desires to be.
And getting a lot of feedback in the chat room tonight.
Of course, we've got this chat that's hosted by our friends at the Council of Conservative Citizens that coincides with each live broadcast of the Political Festival.
So fans can come in the chat room and talk with one another as they listen to the show.
And we interact with them when we can, normally during the commercial breaks.
But I had this, in addition to the good comments in reaction that Sonny was drawing, I got this in from One of our female listeners who goes by the handle, Ice Queen, with regard to the Wilco story we were covering earlier where we got, I guess, denounced by this lame-brained so-called conservative host on Sirius XM Radio.
He called us an ugly name.
And what this lady said was, it would be more accurate to say that we are a people, like all people, who love our own family.
We love Western culture.
We love our people.
We want to see Western culture and the people who created it survive and endure.
And there's nothing wrong with that.
And, you know, if I had to put what motivates the political cesspool into a couple of sentences, I'd be hard pressed to do any better to explain our position than that.
There it is for you.
But if you go to our statement of principles, yes, we are pro our own people.
We stand for a lot of things.
But number one, first and foremost, and this goes back to what we were talking about earlier in the hour when I was talking about my visit to the optometrist, we are Christians.
And the very first thing, when you go to thepolitical cesspool.org and you go to our statement of principles, the very first thing is, and I'll read it for myself.
The internet goes so slow here at the radio station when we are broadcasting this show.
It takes me about 15 minutes to pull up a website.
But I'm going to try to pull this up because I want to read it verbatim in the two or three minutes that we have remaining.
And it's coming.
It's coming, folks.
Here it comes.
Number, well, I went to the wrong page.
All right, there it is.
Above all, we are Christians and we put our faith in Jesus Christ.
And I'll tell you, there's a lot of reasons we are hated.
We are hated because we don't hate ourselves.
You know, we're European Americans who aren't ashamed of that.
We recognize the talents and the contributions that all of humanity and mankind have enjoyed that have come from the hearts and minds and sweat and toil of our people.
And we think that that's something that should be defended.
And so we defend it because no one else will.
And if we do it, they call us racist.
Well, I wrote a book about it, racism, schmazism.
There you go.
But also we're attacked because we don't shrink from the faith of our fathers.
We're Christians.
We defend our people when others would run from them like this, Steve Wilco, or not.
Steve Wilco actually is the Jerry Springer guy.
This guy probably would fit in well with the company, but this is Andrew Wilco.
And if I'm reading this correctly, I got that email in.
I can be corrected if I'm wrong, but it looks like, is it Rick Santorum that said if Bruce Jenner says he's a woman, then he's a woman?
Is that the Rick Santorum, the so-called Christian conservative?
Is that what I'm reading now?
It wouldn't surprise me.
But all I would say is, you know, if America's so bad, and if America's so racist, why is every minority, well, of course, globally, whites are a minority.
We're 8% of the global population and falling.
We are a very small global minority.
But why is everybody from everywhere else wanting to get into America of America such an evil, racist, hate-filled place?
Well, they know that's not the case, and I know that's not the case.
And there's nothing wrong with standing up for who we are and how God made us.
And I am going to defend that unabashedly all the way to the finish line.
And hopefully that's many, many years from now.
Eddie the Bobadier Miller could not be with us tonight.
He's going to be with us next week.
Don't worry.
I know Eddie's missed two weeks in a row.
He was running a Nashville marathon for the benefit of children at St. Jude Pediatric Research Hospital here in Memphis.
That's his fifth marathon in two years.
I think he's run 100 miles in these marathons.
That's not counting training.
Well, Eddie will be back with us next week.
He was in the ice bath tonight.
God bless you, everybody.
See you next week.
I'm James Edwards for the rest of my staff and crew.
Thanks for being with us.
