You're listening to the Liberty News Radio Network, and this is the Political Cesspool.
The Political Cesspool, known across the South and worldwide as the South's foremost populist conservative radio program.
And here to guide you through the murky waters of the Political Cesspool is your host, James Edwards.
Welcome, my friends, to the Political Cesspool Radio Program.
I am your host, James Edwards, and welcome to May.
It is Saturday evening, May the 3rd here in Memphis, Tennessee.
And it's probably, now that I think about it, Saturday, May the 3rd in other parts of the United States of America this evening.
We're happy to have you with us.
If you're listening on a terrestrial AM FM affiliate of the Liberty News Radio Network or listening online or however you pick up the political cesspool, thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you for joining us tonight for another exciting and informative and entertaining live broadcast of our award-winning show.
And we really are going to have a barn burner tonight.
I really think every show is fantastic.
Tonight, though, we're going to be talking about a topic that we can really sink our teeth into.
And it is the story that has dominated American political talk shows, certainly all of the sports shows.
You know what I'm talking about.
Those comments made by Donald Sterling, the owner of the Los Angeles Clippers.
We're going to be talking about that at length tonight with two sensational guests, Richard Spencer of the National Policy Institute and Dr. Kevin McDonald.
He is a professor at California State University, Long Beach.
Everybody knows the work of Dr. McDonald on this show, a regular guest.
If he comes on much more this year, we might have to promote him to co-host.
I think this will be four or five appearances already in 2014 that he has logged and for very good reasons.
So that's coming up.
Another reason it's going to be a great show tonight is because Charlie LaDuff isn't on.
He's not going to be on tonight.
I say that in just partly.
I think Charlie was thinking that this would be a frat house program last week.
And I really do like his reporting.
I couldn't get him to focus last week.
I couldn't channel Charlie properly.
I think he was in character, basically, as what it was.
You know, he plays an on-air persona when he's doing those reports for Fox.
And we had a lot I wanted to talk to Charlie about.
I think we got a question or two in.
I kept extending his interview in the first hour last week, thinking we would get to matters of substance.
But it was fun anyway.
And he actually sent a very nice cordial email after the show saying what a great time he had.
So go figure.
And I didn't expect Charlie LaDuff to come on and be a racial realist on some of these issues.
At least not admit to being one publicly, but I did thought we would talk about a few more things that we were able to work through.
But I do want to thank Peter Stanton for getting him booked.
Again, you're talking about a guy that's won a Pulitzer Prize and New York Times columnist and, of course, has worked for Fox.
Some of his videos are very informative.
He doesn't necessarily connect the dots on all the issues, but you can connect those dots yourself.
And he does uncover some things that most reporters won't touch.
And anyway, that was an odd interview, to say the least.
But it's a good night tonight.
It's a good week for me.
And I'll tell you why, primarily, my wedding anniversary is on Monday, May 5th.
May 5th, 2006.
It'll be eight years for my wife and I.
And before we really get into the meat of tonight's broadcast, I certainly want to take the time right out of the gates this evening to wish my wife an early, happy eighth anniversary.
Without question, she made me a very lucky man in more ways than one.
Forever changed my life for the better in May, May 5th, 2006.
I don't know.
You know, we're all family here.
We don't have listeners.
We have family that tunes in to see what's going on and to catch the news.
And so because we have a familial relationship with our audience, we certainly don't hesitate to share with you behind-the-scenes stories and personal anecdotes and things of that nature.
But the story of my wife and I, I guess, began in the summer of 2001.
That's when we met.
I met the girl who would become the future Mrs. James Edwards, and I met her at church.
How quaint is that?
And I wouldn't have had it any other way.
But we met entirely by chance.
I guess most people do, unless it's an arranged thing.
You meet by chance, regardless of where you meet.
We just so happened to meet at church.
But the thing that was peculiar about it was that she didn't even go to my church at the time.
She was visiting as a guest in order to go on a week-long retreat that the youth group was going on.
And she had a friend that went to our church.
And anyway, I was too old to be in the youth group.
I'm six years older than my wife.
And at that time, she was still of age to go to that, and I was a little bit too old.
But the pastor of my church came over to my house the night before that trip.
And again, this was a trip that I wasn't supposed to go on and a trip that she wasn't supposed to be at because she didn't even go to the church.
But God had other plans.
So he came over, the pastor, to ask if I would help him haul luggage to the campsite.
And my pastor is a guy that I've known all my life.
I was born into that church.
And so he's more like a family as well.
So I said yes.
I showed up the next day.
And when I walked in, I walked into the church building and I saw her for the first time.
And I just remember thinking in the back of my mind that that was mine.
That is mine.
That's going to be mine one day.
And keep in mind, again, I was only supposed to be hauling suitcases.
And after my car was loaded up, Pastor came back to me and said they had a couple of extra people signed up for the trip, a little overcrowded, asked if I minded if two people rode with me.
And you can guess who one of those girls just so happened to be.
And the rest is history.
That started in the summer of 2001.
On January 4th, 2005, I proposed to her on the steps of Cinderella's Castle at Walt Disney World in Florida.
And a year later, we were married on my grandmother's birthday, who had passed away just a few months before.
And, of course, we now have a beautiful, sweet, and intelligent four-year-old daughter, another one in the oven, and on the way, I'm fighting this battle, folks, on the radio, in the bedroom, any way I can.
But, you know, my wife, God bless her, she stood by me.
She supported my efforts while I have toiled in the vineyards of political activism.
She's never wavered, even though the spotlight's always glaring on my work and on this show.
She's truly one in 100 million, and I remain humbled that she took a chance on a guy like me.
And life just couldn't be better, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
And the lesson, I guess, is you can have sensible views on the issues.
Don't think that you have to play the game, and you have to be politically correct and you have to be so-called progressive in order to be trendy enough to get a good wife and to find a good mother.
And let me tell you, it's more than that.
My wife is a goddess.
If anyone's ever seen her, you know that she's just so beautiful.
And that's just, that's not the only thing, but it certainly is nice.
But she lights up a room.
If you've ever met her, you love her.
And she just has an energy about her.
And it was, that's our story, I guess, in a nutshell.
At least how we met and the fact that our anniversary is coming up.
Obviously, on anniversaries, you reflect about your relationship and how it started.
And, you know, certainly, as with any marriage, you go through peaks and valleys, but you stay committed and you stay together.
And it's just been a great, great ride.
And, you know, we met before this show ever even started.
You know, before I ever even ran for office, I ran for state representative in 2002.
She was there with me for that campaign from the beginning of the show and on.
So I love you, sweetheart.
Happy anniversary.
And with that being said, folks, we're going to get into politics here on the political cesspool tonight.
But James Edwards taking a point of personal privilege to talk about the most important thing in my life, and that's my family.
We'll be back right after this.

Yeah?
Did you want to see me, sir?
Well, I did, but now that I do, I'm not so sure.
Sir?
Johnson, I got a mission for you that could change your life.
Oh, good, sir.
It involves traveling halfway around the world without so much as half a clue of where you're going or what you're going to do when you get there.
Situation normal, sir?
But I'll be leading this mission, Johnson, so I'll be telling you what to do.
You, sir?
That's right, Johnson.
And I say first things first.
Good plan, sir.
And when I say as first is food.
Always remember that, Johnson.
Food is a big deal.
Sir, my brother-in-law can get us a really good deal on some surplus MREs.
Johnson, if you've got half a brain and that empty head of yours, you'll call the freeze-dry guy like I did.
That food is better for you.
It rehydrates faster and it's good, Johnson.
And it keeps for up to 30 years.
Will we be gone that long, sir?
I hope not.
Now get your supplies organized and meet me down to the pier at dawn on Sunday.
We sail at Sunrise.
Yes, sir.
This adventure is brought to you by the freeze-dry guy.

All right, folks, the main event tonight.
Oh, by the way, Keith Alexander, you're probably wondering where Keith is.
Well, apparently, Keith had a little bit too much fun on his vacation last week, and he's not going to be in tonight.
No, Keith's actually at a function this evening.
He's making an appearance, if you can believe it.
His fame precedes him.
Keith making a personal appearance tonight at a conservative gathering here in the local area.
He regrets he can't be here.
Very rare for Keith the Myths two weeks in a row, but he has more than a good excuse on both occasions.
Of course, being out of town last week, and this is an event that just happened to overlap.
He said he would leave the event and come, but I said, no, you know, you need to be there.
And so he will be here next week, and we look forward to having him back and regaining our full strength.
Eddie the Bombardier Miller, after running 26.2 miles last weekend in the Nashville St. Jude's Marathon, will be in tonight.
I was alone last week.
Eddie will be in a little later on in the broadcast.
But the main event tonight is we're going to be analyzing and offering our opinion and commentary on this Donald Sterling fiasco.
I'm going to break it down for you in case you were on another planet and you haven't heard about this in the last week.
And I'm going to break it down this segment, and then we're going to go right to Richard Spencer at the top of the next segment.
And then at the top of the second hour, Kevin McDonald will join our discussion.
So we're going to have an in-depth analysis about this.
But basically what's going on is that a private and illegally recorded conversation between Donald Sterling, the owner of the NBA's Los Angeles Clippers franchise, and his mistress, has become the national story.
The biggest story in the country.
Now, the fact that even the president of the United States has weighed in on this, which should be no more than tabloid gossip, is just further evidence that America should no longer be taken seriously.
And in fact, I wrote that before reading Pat Buchanan's column on this matter, which was, in fact, titled, Is America Still a Serious Country?
You know, this is supermarket fodder at best, but it shouldn't be the biggest news story in any country.
Now, I could read from any one of 100 self-righteous, holier-than-thou news reports on this story, but they're just too nauseating to be revisited.
Just too much drivel.
It's sort of like what we saw with Vladimir Putin in Crimea a couple of weeks ago.
You know, when every single commentator in the media is speaking with a single voice on a particular issue, that something stinks here.
And besides, this whole thing has been so overblown that there's no way you don't already know what's going on.
But we have the so-called controversial recording on our website.
You can listen to it if you'd like.
But basically, what's going on here is that Donald Sterling, who is a Jewish Democrat, a big supporter of minorities, told his girlfriend, who is half black, half Mexican, basically that he didn't want her to post pictures all over the internet of her hanging all over black men.
Now, that's what he said.
He also said he didn't want her to bring them to his games, particularly Magic Johnson.
So I guess what was going on was that this guy, he's 81 years old.
I guess his friends were ribbing him about this girl's Postings on her Instagram and some of the things, and he reacted to it.
Now, apparently, him having a preference or exercising the freedom to choose those with whom he wishes to associate can now cost him the sports franchise that he rightfully owns.
Now, if you listen to the audio, if you know about this story, he went on to say that he didn't mind this woman actually having sex with black men.
He was fine with that.
Just don't embarrass him publicly with it.
It also doesn't matter that this guy has already won one NAACP Lifetime Achievement Award.
He was actually set up to get another one.
I guess the Lifetime Achievement Awards from the NAACP don't cover you for a lifetime.
They can be bought on an annual basis because of all the money he's given to minorities.
But that doesn't matter.
Nor does it matter that he's made millionaires of countless black basketball players.
His entire team is black.
I think they might have one or two white players on the Clippers, which is pretty much standard SOP for an NBA team.
Made countless millionaires out of these black basketball players, but he's still a racist.
Okay?
It doesn't matter that he doesn't care if his mistress has sex with black men, doesn't mind that she's half black, doesn't mind, it doesn't matter that he's won NAACP awards, that he's a Democrat, that he's donated millions to minority causes, that he's made millionaires out of countless blacks.
He's a racist because he said he didn't want her taking pictures with those guys.
In fact, the media's treatment of this, and I'm going to talk with Kevin McDonald more about this in the second hour, has been a little unusual.
Because Sterling is Jewish, Jews, like most minorities in America, will normally close ranks and refuse to cannibalize one of their own.
But not in this case.
I guess they see this as an instance to keep the money flowing uninterrupted into the NBA's coffers while furthering the greater good of villainizing people who appear to be white.
And you could say, yes, he is white.
He's Jewish and he's white.
Some people, you know, I don't know if Jews necessarily consider themselves to be white.
It's a gray area.
But they're not playing up his Jewishness at all.
They're playing up the fact that he is a white guy, an evil white racist.
And despite being born in Chicago, the New York Times, if you read their story on this, would lead you to believe that Sterling is in fact a southerner.
Here's what they say.
For decades, it was perfectly acceptable to let him run his team like a southern plantation owner.
As the former Clippers general manager, Elgin Baylor, once charged in a lawsuit, the suit accused Sterling of running his franchise with the mentality of a southern plantation owner.
That's the second time they've used that in two paragraphs.
They said that Sterling wanted poor black boys on his team playing for a white coach.
Now, Elgin Baylor lost his lawsuit.
He said he was fired because Sterling was a racist.
He was fired as the general manager of the Clippers because Sterling was a racist.
Now, that's really rich.
If anybody follows basketball, and I do, Elgin Baylor was arguably one of the worst general managers in NBA history.
He led the Clippers.
The Clippers, during the time that Elgin Baylor was their GM, had the worst record of any team in the NBA during his years at the helm.
So, you know, maybe that had something to do with the fact that he was finally fired.
In fact, I don't know any GM that would have lasted as long as Baylor did.
He lasted forever, years and years, with always having the worst record.
But that's not why he was fired.
It was because Sterling was a racist.
But back to this story.
So you listen to this nine-minute audio clip.
And it was actually part, what was so drummed up by the media, was actually part of a lesser-known 15-minute tape.
It was actually a 15-minute tape, but the media pared it down to nine minutes.
The six minutes that aren't being focused on are the minutes during which Sterling talks about how poorly blacks are treated in Israel.
Well, that doesn't fit the narrative.
They don't want to focus on that.
He talks about blacks being treated like dogs in Israel.
And you can tell what's going on with this girlfriend, this mistress.
She was trying to extort him.
She has been sued by Sterling's wife for embezzling $1.8 million.
This was a shakedown thing that got leaked.
Now, none of this really matters, of course.
It isn't a big story, but we're talking about it because of the reaction that it had elicited from our peers in the mainstream media.
I wanted to talk about some of those other details being thrown in for full disclosure, but the major thing I take from this ordeal is that America has become so ridiculous to take such a story as this.
That shouldn't have been a story at all.
You can say, yes, well, I disagree with what Sterling said here.
Does he not have a right to have a preference?
If he said, you know, I don't want you ever showing up with a red-headed guy, you know, would that have been a story for public consumption?
Would that have made news?
If he'd have said, you know, if he'd have even said, I don't want you to be here, you know, showing up with white guys, that wouldn't have made news.
He should have the freedom to have a preference and not lose a team valued at one and a half billion dollars.
The NBA is trying to steal this guy's team away from me.
I'm actually sympathizing with the guy to an extent.
The NBA commissioner, Adam Silver, also Jewish, announced that this guy, Donald Sterling, has been banned for life.
This is like the Paula Dean thing on steroids.
He's banned for life.
He didn't call them the N-word.
He says he loves minorities.
He says they're fabulous.
She just didn't want his girlfriend hanging all over him and embarrassing him in public.
Makes somewhat sense to me.
You can say, well, I disagree with that, but I mean, does the punishment fit the crime?
Was there a crime at all?
We're going to talk about this in depth.
We're just getting started.
Richard Spencer up next.

The Occidental Quarterly fills a unique niche in bringing together scholarly articles on a wide range of topics that are mired in political correctness elsewhere.
It is edited by Professor Kevin McDonald, who's no stranger to listeners of the political cesspool.
There are quite a few reasons for the precarious state of our civilization and our people, but one of the main ones is that we have lost the intellectual and moral high ground to a cultural elite that is hostile to our people and our culture.
Those of us who are politically aware must understand that the elites dominating culture and the political process in the West are intellectually and morally bankrupt.

All right, folks, we are going to continue for the next hour talking about the Donald Sterling situation, the reaction to it from the media and the players in the NBA, and much, much more.
And then in the last half of the show, we're going to depart from this and tackle a few other topics.
But my first guest joining the conversation about all things Sterling and the NBA is my very good friend Richard Spencer, who is, of course, the president and director of the National Policy Institute.
Richard was formerly an assistant editor at the American Conservative Magazine and executive editor of Takis magazine.
He is currently the founder and editor of Radix Journal and holds degrees from both the University of Virginia and the University of Chicago.
Richard, welcome back to the show.
Well, thanks for having me, James.
It's good to be back.
You sent me an email when I contacted you a day or two ago to inquire as to your availability to join me this evening to talk about this particular topic.
And you wrote back saying there was one thing in particular that you wanted to focus on tonight, among all of the other aspects related to the story.
Do you remember what that was?
The disgusting human being that is Donald Sterling.
Well, that was one of them, but you really hit on something that I noticed.
And that is, you know, we have seen, I think, Richard, even a progression from Paula Dean to Donald Sterling just over the course of the last year.
You mentioned something along the lines that political correctness has really continued to stride forward into full-blown censorship.
What did you mean by that?
Right.
Well, I mean, we need to make an important differential, a differentiation between real censorship and a kind of consensual, maybe even more insidious form of censorship that's really about social pressure.
And, you know, let me talk about that a little bit.
There's the kind of censorship that we would think of that would characterize a totalitarian society where, you know, Mussolini or Stalin is looking at every newspaper headline and taking, scratching things that don't lie in court.
And the government does this to a large degree in terms of military actions or other things, and that is governmental censorship.
And there's something else that we have in America.
We don't really have that.
I mean, you have the political cesspool.
goes on every week and says outrageous things in the minds of the political elite.
You can write really whatever you want on your blog or Facebook account or Twitter, no matter how brilliant or how stupid it might be.
You have the right to write it.
But as we know, in the United States, there's a more perhaps insidious form of censorship that's really based on social pressure.
And that is this notion that if you have these thought crimes that are bouncing around inside your skull, that you will lose a job.
Your wife might leave you.
People might look at you the wrong way.
And this has been maybe even more powerful than outright political censorship.
And I think this has really characterized our American society to a great degree.
Because, you know, our society to large is a very conformist society.
People want to have that right opinion.
They don't want to offend anyone.
Absolutely.
Customers, but friends.
They want to take the path of least resistance, whatever is trendy and invoke, even if they don't really believe it.
And I have a hard time believing that everybody in the country feels outraged at what Sterling said.
And certainly not everyone in the country does.
I bet most of the people in the country don't care or even partially agree with him, if not fully agree with him.
But the media, I'm talking specifically about the media.
You have to feign this outrage.
You know, the sensationalism, Richard, that went into the response from some of these columnists.
And Buchanan wrote about this too.
As if you were going back to God knows I don't want to perpetuate the myth of lynching and that that was a widespread phenomenon at any point, but that this was equivalent to that in some way.
And that's preposterous.
Right.
No, it was preposterous.
I mean, I found that conversation that was recorded.
I'm sure I don't really have to recount it now for your listeners.
You've probably been talking about it for a while, to be utterly stomach turning.
At the same time, Donald Sterling fundamentally did nothing wrong that I can see.
There's no criminal act.
And I guess this is what I was saying before is that American society has been characterized by this consensual social censorship.
But we might really be moving towards outright government censorship.
Because remember, Donald Sterling, whatever I might think of him, whatever the world might think of him, there's no possible crime that he committed.
He is basically, he is allowing his mulatto girlfriend to have sex with black people, but he just doesn't want to see it on the Instagram.
And there's nothing, I don't, you know, I don't know anyone who would think that that is any kind of crime.
And he obviously does, he can't even control this girlfriend of his.
You know, you can tell she's not going to even obey his orders.
It was all meaningless.
So there's no crime, and yet the MBA, which has the power to do this as a league, they seem to have a sovereign power over owners, can dispossess him of something.
And again, you shouldn't just jump on one thing as a trend.
But I think something like this, and the fact that this has happened, this has been accepted, very few people are willing to either defend Donald Sterling or offer some kind of libertarian critique about this kind of stuff.
We might be moving to an America or a Western world, really, where outright censorship of people like you or me is tolerated.
That, oh, well, we all believe in private property, but that James Edwards, he went too far.
And it's a good thing that the Department of Homeland Security took away that radio because he was dividing society.
And we believe in free speech.
We believe in all of these rights except for X.
And X instance.
And that's something that liberals, if you want to use that word, have certainly trimmed their sales on over the years.
They used to say, you know, I disagree with you, or what was the old saying, disagree with what you believe, but defend your right to believe it or something.
That's certainly not the case anymore.
But, gosh, where to go with this now?
I mean, I guess I should ask you, we see now the definition of racist continuing to evolve, I guess, would be something to make a quick comment on.
I mean, you have here a guy, and I laid this out in the previous segment before you came on, a guy that is dating a black woman or semi-black woman, doesn't mind her having sex with other black men, donates millions of dollars to the NAACP, had won at least one NAACP Lifetime Award, and was set up to get another one.
Most of his employees in the Clippers organization are black.
And yet, because he said only that he did not want her to bring Magic Johnson to the game and that he did not want her posting these pictures, he now is the epitome of racism.
Well, I think it is true, like, you know, in the sense that this word is so amorphous that it takes on all these other forms.
But I think in a way, Donald Sterling is the expression of a truly repulsive kind of racist and someone who is, I find, infinitely more repulsive than some, you know, good old boy Klansman who wants a white country.
Because Donald Sterling, let's think about who this man is.
So I think that he probably has a kind of race realism in the sense that he knows that the races are different.
He knows that people have certain skills.
When he was a real estate investor, he was accused often of not wanting to rent to blacks.
And, well, I mean, who can exactly blame him?
I'm sure he would prefer to rent to whites or Asians.
He basically owns a basketball team.
It's hard to be around basketball, or at least basketball as it is played today, and not think that there are racial differences in terms of leaping and jumping.
So he is perfectly fine with using blacks, whom he probably despises at some level, but he's perfectly fine to make millions having a team, watching them slam dunk and jump around the floor by these tattooed thugs who he would probably never want to be near in real life.
But if he wants to employ him, employ them on his Los Angeles Clippers plantation, he's all for that.
And that's really what it is.
I think the kind of white coach, he actually had a black coach, but you see this in all in SEC football, this kind of white coach who has a square jaw, looks like a general, and he's ordering around all these blacks.
It's hard not to look at that.
And white fans are clapping along.
It's hard not to look at that as a kind of slave system.
I mean, I think liberals and leftists are kind of getting at something when they say things like this.
And it's something I don't want to watch that.
I would, you know, I'm not a huge sports fan in general, but I would love to watch a white coach and white players go out and play a game.
I don't, you know, it doesn't matter to me that they might run a 4-840 as opposed to a 4-440.
I would rather see white people play football.
I think, you know, in a way, European soccer can sometimes be a much more, a much healthier experience or hockey or something.
But to get back to him, he really is this kind of disgusting racist individual who is aware of racial differences and doesn't have any feelings about protecting his people.
At least protecting the white people and white race, he might have a kind of Jewish identity.
I don't know.
Well, but he basically is aware of racial differences and wants to profit from them.
And that's your main point of contention with him.
And you drove that home brilliantly, Richard.
Hang on, buddy.
We got another break, and we're going to come back and do a rapid-fire question and answer on this issue right after this.
Are you familiar with the term vigor?
Strength in body and mind?
He pursued his tennis game with vigor, for example.
Well, I hadn't, but I learned about it from Kurt Crosby.
All right, and he actually let me take a scientifically proven free vigor test.
And I got 13 out of 32, not very good.
But I worked on it with him, and believe it or not, now I have a 29 out of 32 and improving vigor score.
You say, Sam, what on earth is this scientific vigor score, huh?
My response is you got to take the free test available now.
Get a hold of Kurt Crosby to learn about it.
The number's 801-669-2211.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back.
Continuing our discussion with Richard Spencer of the National Policy Institute and Radix Journal about the situation involving Donald Sterling, the National Basketball Association, the Los Angeles Clippers.
The self-righteousness of I was talking with this about this during the commercial break with our owner and producer of tonight's show.
The self-righteousness of the media.
You know, you got to keep in mind, too, that this is an illegally and privately recorded conversation.
He had no idea he was being taped.
Would any of these liberal do-gooders who are doing everything they can to show how subservient they are to the new gods of cultural Marxism?
I would like to know if they would be willing to let everything they've ever said in the privacy of their home, if they would like that to be released to the general public, everything they've ever said in a moment of emotional distress.
How many of them would survive the purge, Richard?
Well, none of them would escape whipping, as Shakespeare said.
But yeah, I think the way that I would describe a lot of the behavior of liberals is competitive altruism.
Yes, yes.
Or competitive anti-racism.
And what that basically means is people used to say, I am holier than thou, and I shall go to heaven and you will burn.
But now it's kind of, I'm more anti-racist than thou.
Yes.
Thou art evil.
This gets actually the same thing, basically.
Well, you're right to compare it to matters of faith because, well, two things.
Let me say this first.
First of all, I think what we see here, the message is clear.
Never say anything in public or private about blacks that is anything short of effusive praise or it could cost you everything.
And unlike a significant percentage of black NBA players, you're talking about a guy here who's committed no crime, but he's still being hanged in the public square for simply expressing himself and, again, doing so privately.
Now, it doesn't matter if you agree or disagree with his comments or not, nor does it matter if you find him to be offensive.
What's happening here, Richard, is what you were just saying.
Freedoms of speech, association, and thought are being stamped out in this country, and indeed the Western world.
Political correctness is the state religion here in the USA.
And Sterling has been sacrificed on its altar as a high-profile warning to those who would dare offend the new gods.
I think it's clear as that.
I think it is that.
I don't disagree with that assessment, but I think there's another level to it.
And that is that white people use accusations of racism to compete against other white people.
And I think particularly high-functioning white people.
And that you take your average, say, liberal who's living in a big city, someone here in Washington, D.C. area, so on and so forth.
They know the score.
They're going to look for, when they're looking for a new apartment or house to buy, they're going to look for one that has a good school or is low crime or is all of these euphemisms, essentially, for not having black people.
So they ultimately know the score at some level, even if they're not willing to admit it to themselves.
Richard.
However, finish that up.
If there's someone, you know, a lot of these people are, they're all smart, but they're all kind of interchangeable at another level.
There's not a lot of great difference between them.
One way to climb the ladder is to accuse your competitor of not being altruistic enough or not being anti-racist enough.
And so in a way, I do agree that a lot of this is about a religion of equality, and you could say that this is cultural Marxism.
I totally agree.
But I think there's almost a kind of more thicker aspect to it, which is this is how whites compete against each other.
And this is how they demean and damage other whites.
And it's really, yeah.
Well, it's been an I agree with what you're saying there.
Certainly, it's a very deep issue.
This is a very fascinating case study for many different reasons.
I actually have a few questions that have come in via email.
I'm only going to have time to get to one because there's a couple of other aspects I want to cover with you before we run out of time.
We only have about five or six minutes left.
This one comes in from Jim, and Jim asks, and I think I know exactly where you were driving at with this, but I guess he's seeking a clarification.
Why legitimize Sterling as a racist when in another breath you speak of him as a race realist?
Race realism is about differences.
Racism is overgeneralizing about these differences.
How racist can one be if his mistress is half black?
In other words, why is Sterling the worst kind of racist as opposed to a race realist?
Well, race realism is a neutral description in the sense that race realism means that you simply accept that there are differences between the races.
And you could be a race realist communist.
You could be a race realist libertarian.
You could be a race realist race mixer.
It really doesn't mean anything.
You know, I think most people who do race mix are aware that there are differences, and maybe they even like these things.
So race realists is very neutral.
What I mean by racist is that I think Donald Sterling disgusts me in the sense that he is aware of racial differences, but he has no feelings about wanting to live in a society that is his extended family or an embodiment of Western civilization or Occidental civilization.
He instead wants to just profit by race differences.
So he doesn't want to see his girlfriend in public with blacks because that's kind of demeaning or not cool or dirty in some ways.
But he wants to hire black basketball players so that he can put white fans in the seats and gain money.
It's a kind of despicable quality to all this.
I mean, that's really what offends me about Donald Sterling and how, though I admit what was done to him was clearly wrong, it couldn't have happened to a more awful person than Donald Sterling.
The idea that Donald Sterling would be associated with James Edwards or Jared Taylor or myself or whomever is offensive.
We are not simply about noticing racial differences or that there's a disparate crime statistics out there or something.
It's much more than that.
That stuff is all really superficial at some level.
It's really about having a feeling about wanting to be in a society that is somewhat like your extended family, wanting to protect your extended family, wanting to be in a society that is an embodiment of Occidental civilization.
That's what we're about.
And Donald Sterling, I'm sure, recognizes that there are IQ differences between black and white, but he actually wants to be in this heat.
Well, he could survive and thrive in some horrible society of multi-racial, multicultural sex school.
He just wants to be on top.
And so I think we need to really firmly express that we are not in support of people like Donald Sterling.
Donald Sterling has nothing to do with our movement and our ideals and our views.
Richard, I think that was an excellent, excellent answer.
Another quick email that came in from Michael.
He writes that obviously he's listening to the show.
Your take on this, Richard, we see what's happened to Donald Sterling, an NBA owner who said very basic.
You know, he wasn't offensive at all to me in what he said.
Compare that to the story, the little known or perhaps not known at all story of Jay-Z, who was a minority owner of the Brooklyn Nets.
Up until this year, he sold his stakes to become a sports agent.
But Jay-Z, when he owned a stake in the Nets franchise, he had a party at which white people were banned from attending.
And also, you saw this week that former NBA player Larry Johnson said he wants all white people out of the NBA.
It should be an all-black league.
So take those two instances, a former NBA owner having a party, a Suarway, a gala, in which whites are banned from attending, and then the former NBA player saying no whites at all should be in this league.
It's a black league.
That gets no play at all, or it's met with, well, of course, that's a great idea.
Compare those two instances to Sterling and the reaction he elicited.
Right.
I mean, of course, there's this humongous hypocrisy where we encourage identity amongst non-whites.
We might even invent it where it wasn't there before, like Asian student associations where Japanese and Chinese and Vietnamese and South Asians are all put together.
We love the idea of multiculturalism, except if there's someone like a white student who creates a white student union.
Then he's some evil lunatic who wants to oppress everyone.
And obviously, I think we need to get beyond that.
And we need to start understanding ourselves as part of an identity.
And we are going to be demeaned.
We are going to be bashed.
We're going to be slandered.
But we just have to do it.
So, you know, in a way, we are entering a multicultural world.
And whites are going to be dispossessed unless we repossess our identity.
Richard, we have maybe a minute remaining before we're out of time for this hour.
A final word, parting shot on this story, something perhaps you wanted to convey that we hadn't yet had the opportunity to do.
Well, I think I've said it all.
I think you have too.
Really?
But I would like to direct people.
There was actually a very good article written on this at radixjournals.com.
And please just go check out that website.
And also, I would just like to mention we're going to have a very interesting conference in this October.
And we're actually going to Europe in Budapest.
So I guess it's a bit of a stretch for some people to go out there, I admit, but I think it's rewarding if you can do it.
And we're actually doing this with Arctos, which is a great book publishing firm.
And so we're going to do a European conference.
We're actually going to start announcing some of the speakers soon.
We're going to announce more exact details really in the coming days.
So, you know, I think some of your reader, your listeners, rather, who are out there who, you know, they've maybe always been itching, like, oh, I want to go to Europe.
This would be really a fun time to visit what is an amazing imperial city, and that is Budapest.
And you can do it with, you know, a lot of fellow thought criminals.
It's always good to be among the company of fellow heretics.
Radix.com.
And what's the other website where they can get information?
Radixjournal.com.
RadixJournal.com, RadixJournal.com.
And I think we linked to that article that Richard mentioned, and that's on our website as well.
Thank you so much, Richard.
And when we come back, folks, we're going to continue this conversation on this very topic with Kevin McDonald.
But don't go away.
