Time Text
Welcome to the Political Cesspool, known across the South and worldwide as the South's foremost populous conservative radio program.
And here to guide you through the murky waters of the Political Cesspool is your host for tonight, James Edwards.
All right, everybody, welcome to another raucous edition of the Political Cesspool Radio Program.
It's Saturday, January the 28th.
And I am telling you something, and if I've ever told you the truth, I'm telling it now.
We are live, unrehearsed, and uncensored.
And I stress those points tonight as we come to you from AM 1380, WLRM Radio in downtown Tennessee, going after the AM FM affiliate station of the Liberty News Radio Network and Simulcasting Online at thepolitical cesspool.org.
The reason I stress to you unrehearsed, live, and uncensored, and all that good stuff is that about an hour and a half ago, which was a little less than an hour before showtime, my two co-hosts, Keith Alexander and Bill Rowland, both called kind of back-to-back and said that they were going to have to call in tonight.
They would not be able to make the program tonight for two different reasons.
Bill had a family conflict come up at the very last second.
Keith had a traffic problem at the very last second.
He was coming back in from Mississippi, coming into Memphis tonight from Mississippi.
He was out of town, and he got tied up.
So two very valid reasons.
You can't do anything about that.
I know sometimes these things happen, but for it to happen to both of my co-hosts about an hour before the show, pretty unprecedented.
And the thing is, as you know, Keith drives the bulk of the first hour when he's on.
And Bill tonight was going to be on to help me interview our featured guest this evening, which is Internet Sensation Ramsey Paul.
People who frequently visit our website are sure to know that we run some of Ramsey Paul's YouTube videos from time to time.
He's making his debut appearance tonight on the Political Cesspool Radio program that's coming up in the second hour.
So anyway, with my co-captains coming up a little short this evening, it's all on me.
And we're going to be, again, ladies and gentlemen, flying by the seat of our pants.
But don't you worry.
We have got plenty to talk about tonight.
If you go to the website, you know that we have been covering a variety of stories, all very interesting.
The political cesspool is still making the news.
Howard Stern was talking about us this week.
Howard Stern, yes, that Howard Stern talking about the political cesspool.
Bill O'Reilly talking about Pat Buchanan and MSNBC.
We're in the midst of everything right now.
We're going to get to it all before an exhausting and frantic three hours is up.
But first, first and foremost, right out of the gate tonight, our friend and now regular guest, Sam Bushman, owner of Liberty News Radio Network, host of the Liberty Roundtable.
He wasn't on last week, but he was on the two weeks prior to that to talk about GOP politics and primary trends in the Republican elections.
Sam, I breathlessly send it over to you, my friend.
All right, number one, have you ever heard of hitting a home run with the bunter guy?
No, I didn't know that was possible.
I don't know if it's possible, but on the radio, I think it absolutely is.
And when we talk about, you know, primary elections and this kind of stuff, you know, it's very, very interesting what has happened over the last several weeks.
And a lot of people believe that Rick Santorum and Ron Paul have been relegated to third, fourth, who cares what positions.
It's all about the frontrunners, Mitt Romney and Newt getting rich and these guys, and this is the only story now left.
I disagree 1,000%.
And I would submit to you that incredible overtures to Ron Paul have been made, significant ones.
I'll give you a quick example.
In the last debate, I think it was Thursday evening, believe it or not, both Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney both had a nice thing to say or two about Ron Paul.
And he just smiled and said, yeah, you guys are coming around, kind of an idea.
But they make those statements because they realize his popularity is beyond question now.
Dr. No in the House for 20 plus years, standing for honest money for 30 plus years.
People are recognizing that, you know what, you better not dismiss Ron Paul because Ron Paul's son in the Senate, Rand Paul, just might be, well, here's the question.
Is it Marco Rubio or Rand Paul that might be a VP pick or might be a cabinet opportunity selection?
And that's what the debate's coming down to.
Pat Buchanan even wrote an article about this that says, you know what?
Hey, Marco Rubio versus Rand Paul.
Isn't that interesting?
I'll tell you what, that would be interesting.
And again, this is why, well, one of the many reasons, Sam, I can't say it's the only reason, there are so many, that I love having you on because you always bring something to the program that even I hadn't considered yet.
And again, yes, I mean, you know, does the GOP attempt to appease Ron Paul's burgeoning army of supporters and all the new blood he's bringing in by offering an olive branch to Rand?
I mean, they couldn't hardly do it to Ron.
But is that a tactic that they may use to keep all of these, to keep the good Republicans in the tent?
Yeah, here's what I think is happening.
I think they're using Marco Rubio right now as kind of the Tea Party different race guy to say you can't cross this boundary.
However, if Ron slash Rand slash the real Tea Party Republicans or conservative Republicans, whatever you want to call it, the different wing within the party, the more constitutional wing, the younger libertarians, the list goes on and on.
If they do have even more of a surge of popularity than they counted on, in other words, they're always setting up the next firewall to see if we can go over the wall, right?
And so they're waiting to see, and now they got Mark Rubio and hoping, and if we dismiss Mark Rubio, which eventually that's going to happen, then it's going to be, all right, Rand, you guys have enough delegates.
We'll consider they're going to do it because they have to, not necessarily.
Not because they want to.
And that was the case with George H.W. Bush being Reagan's pick.
He didn't want to.
He had to.
And the opposite's coming through in this case.
In other words, Reagan was more conservative than Bush.
He was almost forced to do that liberal-wise or whatever you want to say, anti-constitution or big government, global governance-wise.
This would be the opposite because they'd be forced to take some conservative, or I would call it American ideology alongside.
So the purposes are different, but the principle is the same.
Right, right.
It's kind of a negative image of what happened back in the early 80s.
But okay, we'll see if that happens.
Certainly, again, Ron Paul, if he wanted to, if he falls short, which it looks like at this point will probably be the case, if he falls short in winning the GOP nomination.
He will fall short.
He's virtually admitted so.
He was asked if he really saw himself in the Oval Office, and he kind of laughed and went, no, not really.
And then furthermore, he's not even trying to fight in Florida.
What he basically says is a winner-take-all state.
It's a waste of our money.
The big election machine designed for big money and endless pockets of finance.
They'll just run us or bleed us dry in that state.
We're going to leave that state alone.
What we're doing is we're going to just basically cherry-pick the states we're going to battle hard in.
We're going to garner enough delegates to really have our opinions heard and our weight of popularity and support really felt.
For example, he didn't really win in Iowa and he didn't really win in New Hampshire, but those delegates are all up for grabs.
He wagers that he'll get a significant amount of them.
It's possible that he could win Maine entirely.
So it's a matter of hopscotching around the country and garnering enough delegates to have your voice heard.
And that is a very sound tactic because if you're not going to win, you get as many delegates as you can.
You see all these other candidates petering out and they're just falling on their sword and abandoning the entire campaign.
Ron Paul is here for the long haul.
He gets enough delegates to where he accumulates a significant number of bargaining chips and then maybe you will see Rand Paul in a position of higher power than just a Kentucky senator or senator from Kentucky.
It could dovetail into a run for 2016 or 2020.
Who knows where it goes?
But the stage is being set and I've got more in seconds.
All right, we're going to take a break, everybody.
Sam Bushman, our guest here at the top of the Political Cesspool Radio Program tonight.
I'm James Edwards, and I'll see you in just a moment.
after these messages hello everyone James Edwards here.

If you're at all like me, you have a tough time remembering appointments and events.
But ladies and gentlemen, I have the answer.
It's a premier service on the internet called MemoToMe.
It's free.
You ought to try it.
Now, I never miss the honeydew items from my wife or the important business meetings.
They have strict privacy protection.

You will not get spammed because of Memo to Me.
Unmatched dependability.
Ladies and gentlemen, these folks have been around since 1998 and they are absolutely up online all the time to send you your reminders and appointments.

I'm telling you, MemoToMe is the premier reminder service on the internet.

M-E-M-O-T-O-M-E.com.
Memo to me.
I smoke because it's a habit.
It's very hard to quit.
I've tried.
My wife smokes.
It's not allowed in the home.
It's not allowed around my children.
I just know it isn't good.
My husband hates that I smoke and I smoke outside.
It irritates her a little bit, but I think she sees and understands what I'm trying to get across to her, that it's not only bad to her, but it's bad to my three beautiful daughters and my two sons.
My dad gets upset with my mom because she smokes and he doesn't.
And whenever my mom goes and smokes, she has to go smoke outside.
I don't think my mom should smoke because it's really bad for you and it could hurt you really bad.
I do think there is a correlation between parents and kids.
The parent smokes, the kids think it's okay for them to smoke.
Sometimes, all you need is a small reason to quit.
Yeah, I love my mom very much, but I still wish she'd stop smoking.
Smoking.
If you think you're old enough to start, you're smart enough to stop.
A public service message from this station and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Jump in the Political Cess Pool with James and the game.
Call us tonight at 1-866-986-6397.
And here's the host of the Political Cess Pool, James Edwards.
Ladies and gentlemen, we are off and rolling tonight.
We are underway.
So far, so good.
Again, I want to thank Sam Bushman for coming on literally at a moment's notice.
I got on the satellite with him here in my Memphis studio.
I'm always connected to the network in Utah.
And I said, Sam, you know, he's producing our show tonight from Utah, where the Liberty News Radio is located.
And I said, you listen, you know, Keith called me a few minutes ago, said he's tied up.
Can you help me?
Here he is a minute later and providing some outstanding commentary as he is always known to do.
I want to remind you, ladies and gentlemen, don't forget to check out Sam Bushman's weekday radio show Monday through Friday, Liberty Roundtable, LibertyRoundtable.com.
You can check him out 7 to 10 Central Time every day of the week, except for Saturday, which I've got covered.
And Sunday, we're all resting on that day.
We're talking about the latest trends in the Republican Party.
Again, Sam, before that last commercial break, we were kind of exploring the possibilities that Ron Paul may be able to do something with his popularity, with the number of delegates he will accumulate between now and the end of the primaries and parlay that into something.
If it's not a presidential nomination, it could still be something substantial.
Yeah, I think that's exactly what they're setting the stage for.
They realize Ron's popular.
They realize it's not just Ron.
No offense, Ron's an old man.
He knows it.
It's his ideas that are popular.
And they know that in the last three, four years, he has raised literally probably over $80 million.
They know that in the last four years, he's created one of the best organizations on the ground you could possibly imagine.
He's done it through the younger populations, meaning the college students, college students, college campuses, et cetera, campaign for liberty.
This is not a movement that's going away.
Ron is basically, it almost reminds me of the Steve Jobs of politics.
You know, he's planned himself 10, 20, 30 years in the future in terms of what he's been able to do, and they know it.
And so they're basically trying to just set the stage to say, can we get rid of Ron?
They know they can't, but they're trying to set up these firewalls and hope they can as we go over the walls every time they go, uh-oh, what are we going to do next?
And it's fascinating to me how, you know what, Mitt Romney has not attacked Ron Paul at all.
Sure, he disagrees with him on a couple of policies.
That's fine, but he has not attacked Ron like the others.
Not these vicious, belligerent, unfair attacks.
He stayed away from that.
And believe it or not, Ron Paul has not attacked Mitt Romney.
In a couple of debates, Mitt Romney has even said, well, why don't you ask the constitutionalist Ron Paul?
And then Ron will answer.
And then, you know, it goes, and then basically when everybody criticizes Mitt Romney and says, oh, you made a gazillion dollars, Ron's like, what?
You got a problem with making money in the private sector?
That's America.
Don't you understand the economy?
So they've been defending each other.
And I just find that very interesting.
So we're going to stop just short of saying they may be courting one another.
Yeah, because I don't think that that's been on the table necessarily.
Ron's not the kind of guy that would let that be on the table without letting you know.
And Ron's perfectly willing to kick back and wait because he knows he's in the driver's seat with this thing long term.
All right.
And with the momentum that Ron is building, it is certainly sending a large portion of the neoconservative Republican base.
And unfortunately, at this time, the neoconservatives obviously are running the Republican Party.
It's sending them into mass hysterics.
And we've got a clip now.
I'd like to play this quickly, Sam, then come back to you for some more commentary.
We've got Bill Crystal, whose father, Irving Crystal, was truly the godfather of the neoconservative movement.
And Bill Crystal is nothing if not an arch liberal masquerading around.
Well, I guess he is a Republican now because there are so many of them there.
But here he is saying that Ron Paul needs to leave the GOP, which to me is the popular thing about Ron Paul.
The kettle black.
Here it is at this point.
I guess we have to go here in a minute.
You know, I'm not going to apologize at all.
A lot of people, when they criticize Ron Paul, have to preface their criticism by saying, you know, he's a good guy and it brings a lot to the debate.
I actually don't buy that.
I don't think he's a particularly good guy.
I think he'd be better.
It'd be better for the Republican Party.
And I'll say this, I've thought about this some.
I think it'd be better for the Republican Party if he left the Republican Party.
A lot of Republicans are spending a lot of time.
How do we keep Ron Paul in the tent?
How do we make sure he doesn't go third party?
Including his other opponents?
Yes, and his opponents being very nice to him on the stage.
Republicans spent a lot of time keeping Pat Buchanan in the tent in 92 and 96.
He gave a primetime speech in the 92 convention.
That didn't really help President Bush's reelection run.
He did well in the 96 primaries.
I guess he supported Bob Dole.
I don't think Bob Dole won.
He left the party in 99, and a lot of people, and I was one of them, said goodbye and good riddance.
You're not in the mainstream of the Republican Party.
Go run to some Reform Party candidate as an independent candidate.
He did in 2000.
He didn't get many votes.
And actually, George W. Bush, I think, was helped.
The Republican Party was helped to be free of Buchanan's extreme isolationism, protectionism, anti-Israel views, and the like.
Ron Paul is a little different from Pat Buchanan, but he's no better, in my view.
And I actually think the Republican Party would be benefited in the long run, but even in the short run.
All right.
So, Sam, before I toss it over to you again, ladies and gentlemen, that clip you just listened to was Bill Crystal, who is the founder and editor of the Weekly Standard.
You know, Sam, when I think about the base of the Republican Party, it's guys like me.
It's guys like you.
It's guys that believe in the message of people like Ron Paul and Pat Buchanan, who, as you heard, Bill Crystal was so vehemently dismissing there, saying it would be better if Ron Paul left the Republican Party, that he's not a good guy, that good riddance to people that believe like Pat Buchanan.
And, you know, unfortunately, despite the fact that so many people that go and vote Republicans in year after year think like us, their figureheads on Fox News are always people like Crystal.
You know, he's on Fox News all the time.
He runs commercials on there for the Weekly Standard, which he says is the publication that represents the modern conservative voice.
Again, take it from there, Sam.
Well, my response is I've got news for guys like Crystal.
You've been controlling the Republican Party for 40 years.
You've ran it into the ground, and you know what?
The young people have said we've had enough.
And Ron Paul's tapped into that.
Pat Buchanan's tapped into that.
It's not about racism like they lie and deceive.
It's not about isolationism like they lie and deceive.
In fact, Ron Paul's the one of the states saying we ought to talk to the Cubans and we ought to not be so hostile to them and create these sanctions and all these other things.
They're acts of war.
We ought to stop it and communicate with them and treat them decently.
That's hardly isolationism.
And the young people are smart enough to get it, James.
Well, of course, I think Crystal's biggest concern, and you're right about everything you said, but Crystal's biggest concern, of course, is the fact that both Paul and Buchanan take an America first position with regards to foreign policy, and that includes, you know, treating Israel no better, no worse than any other nation, rather than the current policy we have, which is to give them, well, everything, you know, a blank check.
And my response to Bill is that why don't you head over to one of those countries, buddy, and show the ultimate support.
Become one of their citizens.
Then have a good time, sir, and we'll load the boat up for you.
That's the first thing that came to my mind.
He'd say, you know, here's Ron Paul.
He needs to leave the Republican Party.
I was thinking, well, why don't you leave America if you don't like it so much?
Well, and Ron Paul joked.
At least he has a little bit of humor, too, compared to the other candidates while they're all fighting and going to the lowest common denominator.
Ron makes a joke when they talked about going to the moon in the last debate, and he goes, I don't really want to spend a ton of government dollars going to the moon, but I think we ought to send a few politicians up there.
I remember Ron Paul, when he first got elected in his congressional district down there in Texas, his district covers some of the space coast down there with Houston.
And people came and they asked him for some money for the space program.
He said that wasn't in the Constitution.
They didn't put it in the Constitution to fund the space program.
Anyway, Sam, I know we got just a minute left.
It's gone by very, very fast.
If we had the time, I want to ask you what is going on in Florida.
We've been talking about the GOP.
Two days ago, Gingrich had a 10-point lead in Florida.
Today, 48 hours later, they're saying Romney has a 10-point lead.
That is literally, without exaggeration, a 20-point change in 48 hours.
What is going on?
Mitt Romney has legitimate support across the country.
So does Ron Paul.
They're the only two in polls that match up well against Barack Obama.
Nobody else does.
And Gingrich is nothing more than the latest neocon flash in the pan, backed by the mainstream press, rise to the top because of mainstream support and adulation and love and fawning all over them, etc.
The truth is, though, he's a flash in the pan.
He's risen to the top and he's going to fall just like the rest of them because he's simply not electable.
Not because he's not a good debater, he is, but simply because he's got too many skeletons in his closet.
The guy's nothing but a train wreck when it comes to Barack Obama.
Barack will be treated as the moral one, the high ground.
And Nude will just be battering against the turret and having a bad time.
He just got too much baggage, too many problems.
They know it, but it was a way to try to give Ron Paul a run for his money.
And they lost again.
That's all.
Ladies and gentlemen, Sam Bushman providing commentary here on the recent trends in the GOP primaries.
They continue next week in Florida on January 31st.
I guess that's Tuesday.
So stay tuned for that, and we'll be talking about that next week.
I'm sure.
In the meantime, don't forget to check out Sam Bushman's website and radio program Monday through Friday, LibertyRoundtable.com.
We're going to take a break.
We'll be back with more right after this on The Political Cesspool.
Informing citizens.
Pursuing liberty.
You're listening to Liberty News Radio.
For too long now, those whose ancestors carved from a vast wilderness, an awe-inspiring extension of Western civilization, have been without any semblance of political representation.
Abandoned by the political establishment, we now face the prospect of losing our national identity, culture, and our way of life.
But there is hope.
There is still time to right these wrongs.
And there is a vehicle to organize our people into a force capable of reclaiming America's destiny.
The American Third Position is that vehicle.
It's a political party for our people, led by extraordinary patriots like Bill Johnson, Kevin McDonald, and myself, James Edwards.
Our ancestors from the gates of Vienna to the sands of Iwo Jima sacrificed their all in order to secure Providence's most precious gift, freedom.
Now it's our turn.

All right, everybody.
Welcome back to the show, the Political Success Pool Radio Program.
I'm your host, James Edwards.
Want to thank again my good friend and colleague, Sam Bushman, for his contributions to the show right out of the gate tonight.
I mean, we just went right into our first guest, which is something we almost never do.
But under the circumstances tonight, it was much needed and much appreciated, Sam, on, as he has done for now three of the last four weeks.
Sam elevating himself to the co-host of the program at this point with all these appearances.
But we're always richly blessed by his contributions talking about what's going on behind the scenes in the Republican Party primaries.
Also, of course, our take on the despicable comments made by Bill Crystal of the Weekly Standard, getting in his jabs against Ron Paul and Pat Buchanan, saying that Ron Paul should leave the Republican Party.
Good riddance if he does.
Good riddance to people like Pat Buchanan.
They are not mainstream.
They don't represent the modern conservative voice, but the Weekly Standard does.
And get your edition, you know, get your subscription now.
We've got that for you at thepolitical Successpool.org, ladies and gentlemen.
Title of the article, appropriately enough, Bill Crystal says Ron Paul should leave the Republican Party.
Why don't you go check it out?
You can listen to that clip for yourself, although we did play it last segment and leave your comment.
Pretty interesting discussion taking place there.
Before we move on, I want to be sure to plug this great event that's coming up on January 31st.
That'll be easy to remember.
That is the day that Florida votes in the GOP primaries.
Sam Bushman is going to be giving a speech, a presentation at the County Sheriff's.
Let's see, what's the exact name of this thing?
County Sheriff Project of America, the County Sheriff Project of America, which teaches citizens the proper role of the county sheriff, reinforces the fact that county sheriffs are supposed to be serving the people and protecting their rights.
It's going to be in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Sam, going to Sin City.
I can't wait to hear about that next week.
January 31st at the Tuscany Hotel and Casino.
So if any of our listeners live in Las Vegas, and I know that some of you do, or if you're planning a trip to Sin City next week, Tuscany Hotel and Casino is where you want to be January 31st, 6 to 10 p.m.
In addition to hearing Sam give a speech, you're also going to be hearing from Sheriff Richard Mack, the famous Sheriff Richard Mack, Sheriff Joe Arpeo of Maricopa County, Arizona.
Everybody knows about Sheriff Joe.
He has been the bane of the pro-amnesty politicians for years now.
Sheriff Joe, his very name is synonymous with border security and America first domestic policy.
Larry Pratt, our good friend, man who has made several appearances on the political cesspool over the years.
He is the head man at Gun Owners of America.
They're all going to be there.
Joe Arpeo, Larry Pratt, Richard Mack, Sam Bushman, January 31st, County Sheriff's Project of America event.
It's public.
Las Vegas, Tuscany Hotel and Casino.
You want more information?
Just give Sam an email.
LibertyRoundtable at gmail.com.
LibertyRoundtable at gmail.com.
Okay.
That being said, I want to quickly read an email.
You know, I said coming up later tonight, we have Ramsey Paul.
I tell you, you know, I get excited.
I'm excited to do every show, don't get me wrong, but there are some guests that just raise my level of excitedness a little bit more.
And I tell you, I am really looking forward to talking to Ramsey Paul, making his debut appearance on the show tonight.
For months, we've been regularly showcasing his hilarious take on the issues at thepolitical cesspool.org, his wit, his sarcasm.
It absolutely minces the sacred cows of political correctness.
And we look forward to what promises to be a very memorable interview coming up in just a few minutes at the top of the second hour.
He's going to be our featured guest.
You can do a little research on Ramsey Paul between now and then by going to ramseypaul.com.
That's r-a-m-z-paul.com.
Ramseyball.com.
Hugely talented.
We're going to be talking about a lot of stuff with him.
We got an email in from one of the fans.
Speaking of guests, Ramsey Paul is our guest tonight.
I got a letter in from a guy from London.
Again, it just never ceases to amaze me.
I never cease to marvel at the fact that we've got these TPC listeners literally everywhere.
And we've been, you know, we talk a little bit about each week, I guess.
We'll read an email from some distant and more exotic port of call.
But here we've got Anthony writing in from London, England, saying that he's been listening to the show for quite a while.
It's extraordinary to be able to listen to men that he admires, such as Joe Sobrin and Paul Godfrey, who, of course, have been guests on this show in the past.
How unlike Fox News you are.
And he goes on to suggest a guest for us.
And I'm going to tell you, Andrew, that we are going to, excuse me, Anthony, we are going to look into having this guest on the air.
And thanks for being a listener all the way out there in London.
You know, the TPC is pretty big in London.
We've had two or three major interviews with Nick Griffin, who is a member, elected member of European Parliament over there, also the head of the British National Party.
To be a member of European Parliament is akin to being a senator here in the United States or United States Congressman, I guess.
Very big interviews.
And every time that Nick has come on the show, it has just made for huge numbers.
I remember the last time he came on, there were so many people listening to the show online, presumably from London or from the UK, where Nick is from, that it temporarily made our ability to administer the stream unavailable.
There were just so many people listening to the show that night, it crashed our ability to get the stream out for a few minutes.
And so that's the kind of shows we like.
And we take to heart what our guests have to say and what our fans have to say in terms of recommending guests to us.
They're talking about fans, you know, wherever they may be.
We're thankful for you.
Of course, we're thankful for the fans that live here in Memphis as well.
I was at the grocery store a couple of days ago with my wife, and we were picking out a few items.
And from across the aisle, someone said, James Edwards, kind of like that, you know, just matter of fact, James Edwards.
And I looked up, and, you know, when you, if you're me and you host this show and someone says your name rather sternly, you know, you don't know whether to, you know, try to find a quick bulletproof vest or what to expect.
But nevertheless, the man walked over and shook my hand and said that he never misses a show.
He said, I can't believe I ran into you.
I never miss a show.
I can remember two years ago on Halloween, it was Halloween night, and we were here.
We were giving out candy to the neighborhood kids who came by and the doorbell rang.
And one of the guys, I went and my wife and I were passing out candy to the kids.
And he shook out his hand and he says, he goes, I really appreciate what you do.
And so, you know, you never know.
And every now and then, from time to time, that'll happen.
We'll just be out and somebody will come up and see us.
I can remember Winston Smith once before he lost his hearing that he was having breakfast at a restaurant in town and the people at the booth directly behind him were having this just enthralling conversation about the political cesspool.
Just saying, oh, dude, have you ever heard about the political cesspool?
Well, they talk about this and they had this going.
And he said, he just sat there and he never introduced himself.
He never let it be known that, you know, he was with the program and was sitting right there with them.
But he just kind of sat there and he, I can remember he called me after he left the restaurant.
Oh, you're never going to believe this.
But I was sitting next to these two guys and I just kept on and on about the show.
And this guy was telling his friend about how great the show was.
Anyway, folks, wherever you are, I try to make sure I take the time each week to tell you how much we appreciate you, how much we respect you, how much we love you.
We couldn't be here without you.
People like Anthony in the United Kingdom who are tuned in tonight, people from wherever you are, whether you're listening on the AM or FM dial, if you're listening on the internet, if you're here in Memphis, whether we've met you or not, thank you.
Thank you for being here.
Thank you for keeping us going.
And that goes to both listeners of the show and the many guests that we've had.
I told you we got a great interview coming up with Ramsey Paul last week.
Wow.
Certainly not a slouch.
Jared Taylor, editor of American Renaissance, is once again our featured guest on TPC last week.
Jared, you know, he's one of these guys like Ted Pike and Sam Dixon and a few of the others, Sam Bushman, about to be right up there with him, who have made, you know, at least a couple of dozen appearances.
And they all make for great radio.
That's why we keep having people like these guys on.
I managed to work a lighthearted plug of Jared's conversation with Hollywood Heavyweight, and I mean that quite literally, Queen Latifah, last Saturday night, and thought that it might be fun to share it with you.
In a battle of wits, Her Majesty is woefully outmatched when pitted against the intellectual prowess of Mr. Taylor.
Not going to have the time to play this whole clip for you, but if you want to watch something entertaining, you know, Queen Latifah, everybody knows her, big movie star.
I mean, she's just in no shortage of blockbuster, so-called A-list films.
She's a singer, if you can call it that.
Everybody knows who Queen Latifah is, I guess.
Well, she used to have her own talk shows, sort of like Oprah.
And Jared was her guest one time.
And every time I see Jared, I always rib him for going on the Queen Latifah show, but it's good stuff.
It's good stuff.
Go watch Jared Taylor vs. Queen Latifah.
We have it featured tonight at thepoliticalsesspool.org.
Jared, one of those rare heroes willing to go out and battle on behalf of truth in the court of public opinion.
We're going to take a break, ladies and gentlemen.
We'll be back with more right after this.
Now that the world is electronically interconnected and there are microphones and cameras everywhere, we seem to be inundated with news.
News from the street where people are commenting about the economy.
Corporations have grasped control of our government and we would like it back.
A lot of the news comes from the halls of Congress.
I guess Republicans think if economic improves, it might help Prison Obama.
Police stories and stories of tragedy make up a big part of the news.
Other responding officers who arrived saw the suspects, what they thought was a suspect vehicle, leaving the area.
And of course, a steady flow comes from the White House.
We want to get some infrastructure built in this country.
We think that putting construction workers back to work is important.
But you know, a lot of news comes from a lot of other places, and a lot of it doesn't get reported.
That's why I'm here Monday through Friday with the news you might not hear anywhere else from Liberty News Radio.

To get on the Political Cesspool, call us on James's Dime, toll-free, at 1-866-986-6397.
And here's the host of the Political Cesspool, James Edwards.
All right.
Kind of ran into my own commercial break there in that last segment, but I just wanted to remind you: yeah, go check out Jared Taylor's discussion with Her Majesty Queen Latifah there at thepolitical Cesspool.org.
As I was saying and wrapping that up in summation, Jared Taylor, one of those few heroes willing to go out and battle on behalf of truth in the court of public opinion, and he's been doing it for a long, long time.
That's again why he's such a fixture here on our radio show, which prides itself in doing the exact same thing.
I have in addition to that talk he had with Queen Latifah, another one of Jared's appearances on television.
And this one, it's almost criminal to watch what Jared does to his verbal sparring partner on Russia Today, which is really a Russian television network, but they have a branch in Washington, D.C. Anyway, of course, you can revisit my hour-long talk with Jared in the Political Assessment Broadcast Archives, January 21st show.
It's all right there.
Now, I came across something last week that I didn't think existed anymore.
Someone that I'd never even heard of on national television, no less, Fox News, saying something entirely sensible.
The woman's name is Liz Trotta, and apparently she is a regular contributor to Fox News.
I didn't know who she was before last week, but she makes way too much sense in her defense of Pat Buchanan not to have a date with the hate watch list.
When she gets to the hate watch list, I guarantee you, people like me and Chuck Baldwin and every other good and sensible American who's already on it, we're going to welcome this lady with open arms.
She was on Fox to talk about what's going on with Pat Buchanan and MSNBC.
She said that MSNBC has become close to being a communist channel.
They have moved all the talent that they support so far to the left, and no one will touch Al Sharpton for making anything that might be considered to be an anti-white comment.
If an African-American says something that's racist, he doesn't get fired.
He gets his own show.
And of course, they're saying everything in the context of Pat Buchanan being suspended from MSNBC because of his book.
Again, I haven't seen anyone speak this frankly on television other than Pat Buchanan or Jared Taylor himself since my appearances on CNN.
But let's go straight to the clip.
Listen to it in its entirety.
It's about five minutes long.
Here she is.
No word yet if conservative commentator Pat Buchanan will return to the air over at MSNBC.
Buchanan was yanked back in October, around the time of the publication of his book, Suicide of a Superpower.
The book includes chapter titles like The End of White America and The Death of Christian America.
At the time, the network's president, Phil Griffin, said he didn't think the content of the book should be a part of the dialogue at MSNBC.
Buchanan speaking out this week, though, saying he is the victim of, quote, the hard left, among others.
Joining us now is author and journalist Liz Trotta, a Fox News contributor.
And Liz, does he have a point?
Is he being victimized by the left that's pressuring MSNBC?
Good afternoon.
Of course he's being victimized.
You know, when Phil Griffin, the head of MSNBC, put out his statement on Buchanan, he used that liberal buzzword, appropriate.
This is not appropriate for national dialogue.
Well, I mean, one has he put himself in charge of being an arbiter of freedom of speech in this country.
I've read the book.
It's jam-packed with facts.
Facts, mind you, and of some opinion.
But he's been mercilessly assailed by the homosexual lobby, by very left-wing, hard-left people who were charging him, groups who say he's a racist.
Colorofchange.org, that was founded by Van John Jones.
You remember him?
He was a green czar in the Obama administration until it got too hot for him and he had to be fired.
You know, we've really come to the point now where you can't, you're on a media channel, you cannot express your own opinion.
And really the other side has one, don't you think?
Well, first of all, ideas with which we disagree or even hate should not be banned, but they should be refuted.
However, Liz, you would agree that the First Amendment doesn't really apply to a for-profit corporation in private industry.
Only the government is prohibited from restricting free speech.
Well, I know better than to get into a discussion with a lawyer such as yourself.
But let's take a look at what I think is the essence of the book.
And it's a quote from the Buchanan book.
And it reads thusly, Today, freedom takes a back seat to equality.
One nation under God, indivisible, has become an antique concept in an age that celebrates diversity and multiculturalism.
Our intellectual and cultural elites reject the God our parents believed in and the moral code they lived by.
Well, I don't quarrel with that, and I'm sure many don't, but even those who do.
Pat Buchanan, three times presidential candidate, author of one bestseller after another, conservative commentator, liked by just about everybody.
I mean, this is absurd.
But Liz, let me, I mean, I've read passages of the book as well, and he does appear to lament the Browning of America.
Quote, by 2020, deaths among white Americans will exceed births while mass immigration is altering forever the face of America.
I mean, you can clearly see that that might offend some people as well.
No, I think if they're straight thinking, they can't be offended.
Those are facts.
And he's talking mainly, by the way, in that chapter, about the northern flight of Mexicans, and these are illegals.
And, you know, with the point now where it says, let's just open it up and have California be Mexico, which, by the way, is something that leaders of the activists and migration groups, Hispanic groups, have called for openly.
Let me ask you this.
I wonder if there is a very conspicuous double standard at MSNBC.
Full disclosure, I used to work there.
Here's why I ask this, because Al Sharpton's rhetoric and past deeds have clearly on many occasions been called racist.
Yet MSNBC gives Sharpton his own show.
Buchanan and a fellow by the name of Don Imus utter or write things that are condemned as racist and they either get fired completely in the case of Imus or in the case of Buchanan they get taken off the air.
Is there a double standard?
Does MSNBC make its decisions through the prism of race?
Well, I don't think there's a double standard in the classical sense because MSNBC has become close to being a communist channel.
I mean, this is just outrageous.
Little by little by little, they have moved all the talent that they support so far left.
And no one will touch Al Sharpton for making anything that might be considered an anti-white comment.
I mean, it just would not happen.
My question is, if an African American says something that's arguably racist, he doesn't get fired.
He gets his own show.
Of course not.
It's encouraged.
All right.
And I wouldn't say that all of their talent has moved to the left.
I'd cite Chris Jansing as very fair and balanced, right down the middle.
At any rate, Liz Trotta, thank you so much for your commentary.
Good to see you.
Thank you, Greg.
Folks, ladies and gentlemen, that was absolutely outstanding.
You know, I had been reading recently that Pat was becoming under fire again, all over again, for the release of his book back in October.
It seems as though this has flared up as if it's a brand new story.
But so you got this, and she, I was going to come on tonight and talk a little bit about what's going on with Buchanan, but I figured, well, what good would it do?
This woman has laid out the case so perfectly that it does me no good.
There's nothing I could do to improve upon her commentary.
What she said was absolutely word for word, impeccable.
Nothing should be added.
Nothing should be taken away.
If you want to read that commentary for yourself, ladies and gentlemen, or excuse me, listen to it.
Just go to thepolitical cesspool.org and consult with the blog entry entitled, This Woman is Headed Straight to the Hate Watch list.
And we have that video embedded for you.
You just listen to it.
Also there in that article, you will see that Richard Spencer, our good friend with Alternative Right, has also chimed in on the exile of Pat Buchanan at MSNBC.
And at the bottom of it all, you'll see my interview with Pat that we did right here on this radio program, which was also the subject of a lot of news and still is.
That's all there.
Take a look.
And while you're there, I give you a couple of other reasons to check thepoliticalcesspool.org tonight as we head into the break after the first hour.
We've got Miss Tennessee.
Miss Tennessee is up there.
And the reason I put that up was because I found out that she came from my own hometown right here in Bartlett, Tennessee, right on the outskirts of Memphis.
Miss Tennessee was born and raised.
So my neighbor didn't win the Miss America pageant, which was held two weeks ago in Las Vegas.
But the fact that she lives here in Bartlett, I'm in Bartlett, we put her up.
If you want to see what Miss Tennessee looks like, go to thepolitical cesspool.org.
You'll also read that Barack Obama did Disney World this week a few days ago, which also carries special significance for me because I proposed to my wife right there on the steps of Cinderella's Castle, just a few feet behind where Obama gave his recent remarks.
So Obama taking advantage of the presidency.
He went to Disney World.
Hallowed Ground has been sullied.
We got to take a break, everybody.
We're back with Ramsey Paul.
Our featured guest of the night right after this.
Stay tuned.
Well, Harv hit the aisles dancing and screaming.
Some thought he had religion.
Others thought he had a demon.
And Harv thought he had a weed eater loose in his fruit and blues.
He fell to his knees to bleed and beg, and the squirrel ran out of his britching leg unobserved to the other side of the room.
