Time Text
Welcome to the Political Cesspool, known worldwide as the South's foremost populous radio program.
And here to guide you through the murky waters of the Political Cesspool is your host, James Edwards.
Welcome, everybody, back to the Political Cesspool Radio Program.
I am indeed your host, James Edwards, and it's my honor and privilege to be coming to you live again this evening, Saturday night, June the 26th from AM 1380 WLRM Radio in Memphis, Tennessee, our flagship station, but by no means our only affiliate, as we are going out to the AM FM affiliate stations of the Liberty News Radio Network.
We're going out via satellite and shortwave as well.
Not to mention, not to mention the internet simulcast that you can find at thepolitical cesspool.org, our official internet headquarters.
There too, you will also find our broadcast archives, which are available to you 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year on demand, dating back to 2005.
It's all there, folks, at thepolitical cesspool.org.
Keith Alexander, what a great job he does.
I say it every week.
I mean it every week.
And in fact, every week I mean it a little bit more than I did the previous Saturday night.
Tonight, Keith addressed some very contemporary and salient topics, including the new billion-dollar Toyota plant that opened up not far from Memphis down near Tupelo, Mississippi.
We talked about the firing, quote unquote, of General McChrystal, talked a little bit about the Gulf oil spill.
You know, of course, that has just been dominating the news all summer.
We've barely touched on it here in the political cesspool.
Tonight, we provided you our unique analysis on that crisis.
And then we revisited old Glenn Beck, the one man in the world who needs to read my book more than anyone else.
And Glenn, if you're listening out there, as we know, so many mainstream media entities are, either so they can have the opportunity to bash us in the morning or so they can steal some of our ideas and guests, as WorldNet Daily has done as we worked with them.
Listen, we welcome everyone.
We love everyone.
We love our enemies.
We love our friends.
We love the fact that our enemies are so obsessed with the work that we do here.
You're all welcome to tune in.
And there's so many ways to tune in, thanks to the Liberty News Radio Network.
No matter how you're tuned in, we're glad that you're here.
If you missed that first hour and everything that Keith and I addressed, don't forget, as I mentioned just moments ago, you can pick it up in the broadcast archives.
Now, here's something.
If this wasn't tailor-made for the political cesspool, there never was such a story.
I said it last week just when I think I have seen it all, read it all, heard it all, been through it all in the American political discourse, something like this pops up.
And I tell you, it's stories like this that make the need for a radio program such as ours so prevalent.
This story comes from Detroit.
Now, that probably isn't going to surprise you.
It won't surprise you at all after I get through the telling of the tale.
Blogged about it on my website, which, of course, when I blog about certain issues on my website, you can be sure that they're all going to be backed up with verifiable links and facts.
Unlike so many of the articles that condemn our work, we actually do a little thing that, you know, even first-grade journalism students would do.
We provide corroborating evidence.
And so there you can find it at thepoliticalspool.org.
And you're probably going to want to do that because this is a story so outlandish you would think that I'm making it up.
But of course, we don't do that.
Here is the scoop.
A few months ago, it came out, according to the Washington Post, that the head of the Detroit Michigan School Board can barely read or write.
Again, this is the Washington Post writing a story that the head of the Detroit Michigan School Board can barely, he's functionally illiterate.
His name is Otis Mathis.
And here are, we've provided for you a couple of emails that he sent out to demonstrate his complete incompetence for the job.
This is one of his memos.
I'm going to try to read this.
It does better if you can see it for yourself, but this being radio and not television, you're going to have to bear with me.
This is one of the memos from the head of the Detroit County School Board.
This is what he said.
Detroit City School Board, I should say.
If you saw Sunday's free press that shown Robert Bob, the emergency financial manager for Detroit Public Schools, moved Mark Twain to Boynton, which have three times the number of seats than students, and was one of the reasons he gave for closing the school too many empty seats.
Now, if that didn't make any sense, that's because I wasn't reading it improperly.
That's how poorly it was written.
And we provided for you, again, you got to go to my website and read this, ladies and gentlemen, a couple of more emails that have been obtained by the Washington Post that show just how incompetent this guy really has less than an elementary grade level grasp of the English language and of proper grammar.
Well, anyway, these emails that we provided for you were actually written by the head of the Detroit School Board.
Now, after the story made national news, many on the school board defended him, saying he was just the kind of person needed as president of the Detroit, Michigan School Board because he can relate to struggling students, etc., etc.
And naturally, anyone who disagreed is a racist because, as you probably have figured, Otis Mathis, the gentleman we're talking about here, is black.
So, despite the fact that he can't read or write, he has been defended by his peers, if you will, that he is the right man for the job because he can relate to the illiterate students that come out of Detroit.
Well, Otis Mathis is no longer the head of the Detroit School Board, not because he's, again, pretty close to being functionally illiterate, but because a female school administrator filed a complaint against him recently and said that during their 20-minute meeting together, he spent the entire time, how should I say this?
How can I say this on National Airways pleasuring himself?
She also said that this wasn't the first time he had engaged in such despicable behavior.
So, this is what happened.
This teacher, this other school administrator, went into a meeting with the president of the Detroit School Board.
He spent the entire meeting doing what I just said.
Mathis did resign shortly after that.
But then he decided that he wanted his job back, probably figuring correctly that employment prospects for a functionally illiterate pervert are somewhat limited.
And one board member, a black preacher and a local civil rights activist, said, according to, again, the Washington Post, that Mathis should indeed get his job back because he's young and he may not have known that acting that way on the job in front of a woman at work was offensive.
I am not making this up.
A local civil rights activist says that this black guy, even though he engaged in such grotesque behavior, even though he's illiterate, should still be the head of the Detroit School Board.
He also said that he's a young man and didn't know any better.
Otis Mathis is 55 years old, ladies and gentlemen.
I mean, now, some school board members told the Detroit Free Press that they did not want Mathis to return.
But one member, the Reverend, quote unquote, the Reverend David Murray, said he would be happy for Mathis to return and that Mathis should return because he took responsibility for his behavior before the female school administrator.
And again, what he said was, according to the Washington Post, he's a young man.
Maybe he didn't know that that type of behavior was offensive to her, quote unquote, Murray said, the Reverend David Murray, the local civil rights activist, said of the 55-year-old Mathis.
It's not something I would do, he continued, but again, he's a young man.
That's just the way it is.
End quote.
What a real role model he must be for the youths up there in Detroit.
I mean, can you believe that this kind of stuff gets taken seriously?
Can you believe that there are people in positions of authority that have the opportunity to do stuff like this?
And then he can do stuff like this.
And then other people in positions of authority can get behind their bully pulpit and say, yeah, you know, come on, sure.
He's a young man.
He's a 55-year-old young man.
He didn't know any better.
He's illiterate, but so what?
It's only the school board he's running.
Let's let him have it.
Now, a guy like this, you know, can keep his job for the longest time until he finally just does something that should have gotten him arrested.
Then he finally resigns.
But then, as I mentioned, you know, you know, not a lot of people are beating down the doors to get illiterate perverts to be their standard bearer.
So he tries to get back in the position he once held, and there's a groundswell of support for that.
Now, imagine if this had been a white gentleman and he said that, you know, perhaps it wouldn't be the best idea that we commit cultural genocide by going along with the false doctrines of political correctness.
Well, they would have hung him, figuratively speaking, if not literally.
This is the day and age in which we live.
I'll be back with more right after this.
Jump in, the political says.
Pull with James and the game.
Call us tonight at 1-866-986-6397.
And here's the host of the political cesspool, James Edwards.
I had to start that last segment out, the top of this second hour, with that story from Detroit.
That was surely a story that was tailor-made for this program.
And again, a story that you, unless you lived in Detroit or just happened to catch the Washington Post coverage of it, probably would have never known about unless you had tuned into this award-winning show, the Political Cess Pool Radio Program.
Well, that is just the beginning of all the things I have in store for you of the second hour.
But I want to digress momentarily to pick up upon a fact that I shared with everyone at the very top of the show back during our first hour with Keith Alexander.
I, as I mentioned, just turned 30 years old on Tuesday, June 22nd.
And as I said, truly, I have not been in a better time in my life.
I am extremely happy right now with work and with life in general.
Married to a beautiful woman, got a great house, great baby, great radio program, got a new book out.
I mean, it's just, I've been extremely blessed.
Got great friends that I work with on this program, got the best audience in the world.
And I can truly say that at 30 years of age, it's obviously very old, that I have never had a dream that I didn't realize, never had a fantasy that I didn't fulfill.
I've gone to all the places in the world that I care to see.
And hopefully, God willing, the next 30 years will be equally as enjoyable and productive if the ascendancy of this program can continue on.
And that being said, it just so happens that, as coincidence would have it, I received quite a great birthday gift on Tuesday from the blog Spirit Water Blood.
And we put an entry of this up on our website too at thepolitical Cesspool.org.
Just the latest of a plethora of strong reviews for my new book, Racism Schmazism.
And this is what the author at Spirit Water Blood had to say about my book.
And if you would indulge me, I'd like to share it with you here in its entirety.
As I'm sure you can tell from his ethno-politics blog, James Edwards is famous for perceptive social commentary interspersed with laugh-at-loud one-liners.
Now he has published his first book, and it's so entertaining and thought-provoking that it's easy to lose track of the time while reading it.
You can get an idea of what's in it from the chapter titles alone, such as There's a Pot of Black Republicans at the End of the Rainbow.
And by the way, I really enjoyed writing that chapter.
But the review continues.
There are many political books published that hinge on some aspect of a presidential administration.
I select few of these hinge on a racial aspect, such as Steve Saylor's America's Half-Blood Prince.
Racism-Schmaisism is not the first book to poke holes at the ridiculous plaudits gathered by Obama as a race-transcending messiah, but it could very well be the first book of the genre because, in addition to this, it gives solid evidence that our people have been neutered by what Joseph Sobrin calls semitically correct language.
Our language has been controlled through the media, and wrestling control of it again is easier said than done.
As Napoleon knew, quote, four hostile newspapers are more to be feared than a thousand bayonets, end quote.
But when the emperor parades down the boulevard naked, men of courage do not shrink from pointing out the obvious, excuse the puns, even when they must stand alone.
Courage is the deciding factor.
James Edwards shows that in the age of Obama, the word racism still carries the same counterintuitive definitions.
And all the old double standards still apply.
For instance, according to conventional wisdom, race exists merely as a social construct, a Marxist construct at that, which is to say that it's not real.
But the government and media and courts expend a tremendous amount of time and energy and money to ensure that opinions about this thing that does not exist meet official approval.
From the census to the student body to the surgery room, race is of utmost importance.
It is said that racial diversity is, quote, our greatest strength, so great and so strong as to require vigilant enforcement.
As always, the challenge for liberals to keep whites immune to their own dispossession, and if anything, like the Tea Party movement arises, their job is to assuage the grumbling masses by steering reforms into the black hole of a political party owned and operated by the establishment.
See how, for example, the Republican Party succeeded in neutralizing anti-abortion dissent.
By doing so, the establishment guarantees that whites are ashamed to be white and Christians are ashamed to act upon their faith in public, except when God's help is needed for one of Israel's wars.
This game plan was rather successful until the fabled post-racial future became the majority minority present in these once United States.
Thus, Edwards begins his book with the ludicrous spectacle of John McCain dumping his bid for the presidency he long sought for fear of being called a racist.
McCain is representative of what our race has become.
We are no longer blessed with men who stand on principle.
Politicians today are as craven as the voters.
They are made for each other.
Obama's ascension to the White House is what naturally rushes into the vacuum when white men take leave of their senses and backbones.
If we fail to turn this tide, we will be well on our way to extinction in 20 years.
Impotent and oppressed minorities in the country we inherited from our own brave fathers.
Most of our kinsmen still fail to realize this, but with each passing year, more of them become aware.
The first thing they begin to realize is what Edwards has long preached.
A racist, by its modern definition, is a white person.
This is how our enemies define racism.
Let us revel in it.
Let every man, woman, and child among us shout from the rooftops that we are proud to be who we are.
This is what our southern ancestors did with the epiteth rebel to rebel against the rebellion against the Constitution is to be a rebel indeed.
We too must choose must choose between life and death.
We must vow to stand with our kinsmen.
Many average folks came to realize that a racist is a white person when they saw that race was not finally vanquished by the election of Obama as his supporters said it would be.
Instead of transcending race, Obama has proven that his whole life has been a quest to seek validation from his black kin.
Discrimination against whites has only intensified.
The Attorney General felt perfectly at ease in calling us a race of cowards, despite the fact that we have bled ourselves dry to accommodate and assimilate diversities.
White people who thought that electing Obama would end their status as second-class citizens have had a rude awakening.
Even Representative Steve King of Iowa, the state where early white support for Obama ended Hillary Clinton's campaign, is stating publicly that Obama favors the black race.
It is crucial that this book be placed in the hands of such people.
It will be to them like light cutting through the fog.
Liberals and conservatives alike get very upset when they hear certain words that they are believed to have kept unfairly minorities in their place.
Edwards has done us a great service by showing that the word racist is now designated to keep white people in their place.
Edwards documents stories from recent years that are almost unbelievable, but they are all too shockingly true.
And I'm going to continue, conclude, I should say, with this review right after this break.
Political cesspool, guys.
We'll be back right after these messages.
Get on the show and express your opinion in the political cesspool.
Call us toll free at 1-866-986-6397.
We gotta get out of this place.
All right, ladies and gentlemen, I was sharing with you in that last segment a review that I am mighty proud of, as you might have already surmised as I was taking the time to read it verbatim.
It came from the Christian Kinnist website, Spirit, Waterblood, and it was, of all the reviews I've had, and we've had some great ones from some great people, Kevin McDonald, Richard Spencer of Alternative Right, several others, and several more reviews are forthcoming in some very big publications out this month, and we're looking forward to sharing those with you as well.
But this one came from the blog Spirit Waterblood.
And I was at the very end of it when we had to go to that last break.
So I'm going to wrap it up here by reading the final paragraph, which states that Edwards documents stories from recent years that seem almost unbelievable, but they are all too shockingly true.
Such waiting matters of life and death could be ponderous and gloomy in the hands of another writer, but the style of James Edwards is to laugh in the face of the devil, to mock him, to dare him to make a move.
Even in the face of our demise as a people, Edwards is lighthearted and carefree, or so his prose indicates.
He understands the art of war.
He drives his enemies mad by deriding them as fools, and they can't stop talking about him.
In recent weeks, he has drawn the ire of MSNBC's Keith Olberman and Media Matters.
He scooped the entire big budget mainstream media.
He funded, excuse me, well-funded anti-white hate groups have teams dedicated to monitoring his every move, and still he laughs.
He is inspiring white men and women everywhere to reclaim their birthright.
We believe his first book, The First of Many, we hope, makes an excellent case that the charge of racism has long lost its sting.
Let's spread the word that we are no longer intimidated.
James Edwards, least of all.
So what are you waiting for, folks?
That's the review from Spirit, Water, Blood.
Get your copy today and make sure you get one for your brother-in-law who loves Sarah Palin and Fox News and show them what they're missing.
This book's doing well.
We need it to do any better.
We need it to do even better.
We need the support that you show us in buying this book to help get the message of our radio program to our ever-growing audience.
And you can buy the book.
It is priced to sell Tonight at thepolitical cesspool.org.
Well, anyway, while you go to the website and undoubtedly make your purchase, enough talking about me.
I don't like to take those points of personal privilege all too often, but I'm very proud of that review and wanted to share it with you because whatever news that is out there that I can revel in, so too can you share in it because we are all one.
We are all part of the same team.
You are the wind in ourselves here in the political cesspool.
Your support sustains us late at night when the demons come.
Without you, there would be no James Edwards.
Without your support, there would be no political cesspool radio program.
So whatever reviews or praise or adulation that I might be able to garner, know that you are a great part of that.
In fact, the biggest part of it.
And that I am just, at the end of the day, your servant here on the radio.
And as Bill O'Reilly so often claims, very immodestly, I actually mean it when I say it.
Well, enough talking about me.
Let's talk about you.
I have no co-host this hour.
Keith Alexander put in his duty for the evening, punching the clock there for that first hour, as he always does.
Winston Smith, Eddie the Bombardier, Miller, and Bill Rowland all have the evening off.
So it's just us here having a little southern porch talk, as it were.
So what do you want to talk about?
Very rarely do we have the time or opportunity to open up the phone lines here in the political cesspool, but why don't we do just that right now?
I'm going to be covering, I've got a lot of stuff to cover.
If no one wants to give me a call, I'm sure I can fill the remaining time this evening.
But why don't we just have a little fun?
Why don't we just have a little fun here and talk about the issues together?
What is on your mind?
What do you want to talk about?
Do you have a question or a comment about any political issue throughout the spectrum?
Let me hear about it.
Let's air it out together on the air tonight.
Make yourself a star of the show this evening by giving me a call right now.
The number, toll-free, to be on the air with me tonight, courtesy of Liberty News Radio, 1-866-986 News.
Give me a call.
Take down the number.
Pick up the phone.
Reach out and touch the political cesspool.
1-866-986-News.
1-866-986-6397.
And while I'm waiting for a call to come in, let's see what else is going on out there in the world today.
I talked earlier about, let's, I guess, just keep it all in the same family.
We took a little break there to talk about this review I had gotten.
We open up the hour by talking about the pervert in Detroit while we're on the topic of perverts.
Let's go from one pervert to another.
We'll skip the pond there and go all the way over to the United Kingdom.
Mr. Gay UK.
Mr. Gay United Kingdom charged with raping another man.
And he's a cop, too.
The Mr. Gay UK is, that is.
I guess the police administration over there at Scotland Yard was just too busy worrying about racists in their ranks and on the streets to pay attention to this guy.
A police officer and former Mr. Gay UK has been suspended after being charged with male rape and other sex offenses.
His name is Mark Carter from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.
And he has been charged following an incident at the ETAP Hotel in Leeds City Center.
The West Yorkshire police officer has been charged with at least one sexual offense and also with offenses relating to bodybuilding drugs.
How else would he have been Mr. Gay UK?
He is due to appear at Magistrates Court this week.
I believe that was last Tuesday, as it was.
A spokesman for the police department confirmed that the 27-year-old officer had been suspended after an investigation into the events unfolded.
However, now this is where the plot thickens, ladies and gentlemen.
This officer, Mr. Gay UK himself, Mark Carter, who has been suspended from the force for raping another man, is said to have the full support of the police department.
Now, this is rape we're talking about here and sodomy at that.
But he has the full support of the police office there.
Now, had it been, as we have seen so many times here in the United States, had it been a police officer who had said something the slightest bit politically incorrect, do you think he would have the support of anyone there, let alone the whole department?
Of course not.
In fact, I shared just such an example in my book, Another Reason You Should Buy It.
We have had police officers reprimanded here in the United States for eating bananas on duty because some hypersensitive black woman said that white police officers eating bananas while in uniform is racist.
And what's so sick about that is not that that sick woman would take the time to find offense in that, but that the mayor of the city to which she complained took it so seriously that there was a fallout from it.
Now, you know, these officers, the police department there in that particular city that I write about in the book sent out memos to every officer saying no more eating bananas on duty.
We're not going to allow that kind of racist behavior.
So on one hand, you got white cops eating bananas who get reprimanded.
On the other hand, you got a homosexual who rapes another man, and he has the full support of the West Yorkshire Police Department in the United Kingdom.
Ladies and gentlemen, that in and of itself is a perfect compare and contrast of what cultural Marxism is doing to our society, how degenerative it is.
It is a disease.
Political correctness, cultural Marxism is a disease of the mind.
And listening to this program, I tell you, it's not only therapeutic for those of us who already have a good handle on politics, it is or would be like shock treatment to some of these people who are absolutely infected from head to toe with it, like Glenn Beck.
You know, people need to listen to this show.
I mean, yes, we have a lot of fun doing this.
I'm not going to lie.
We have a lot of fun doing this radio program.
We love our work.
But more than just coming here to have fun, we feel as though we're providing a serious asset to our people.
And that's why we want people to take advantage of what we offer by tuning in, buying the book, supporting us in any way that they can.
We're going to take some calls when we come back.
1866-986 News.
Give me a call and be on the line with James Edwards in the political cesspool.
I'll see you right after this.
Don't go away.
The political cesspool, guys.
We'll be back right after these messages.
We gotta get out of this place.
If it's the last thing we ever do, we gotta get out of the space.
Welcome back.
To get on the political cesspool, call us on James's Dime, toll-free, at 1-866-986-6397.
And here's the host of the Political Cesspool, James Edwards.
Thank you, Art Frith.
I was sitting in my den this afternoon a few hours before coming out to the studio tonight to do the show, and my wife and I were watching something on the Discovery Channel or one of those channels, one of those information channels.
And it was about Niagara Falls.
And a minute ago when I announced we were going to be taking calls, I felt as though I was going over the falls in a barrel because we have just been deluged with calls, and I believe all the lines are taking up right now.
So we're going to try to get to as many people as we can.
And I'm grateful to have such a responsive audience.
So let's get right to business.
Jim in Kansas, you're on the political cesspool.
Yeah, Keith.
This is James.
Oh, James.
I thought it was Keith.
Oh, well.
Keith's gone.
He'll be back.
You know, in talking to people on a daily basis, you find that people really do not understand what fiat money is.
Right.
You know, they see the dollar in front of them, it works, you know, and their mind just cannot expand because it's so complicated.
Well, I figured I found a very simple way to understand it.
But it'll take about three to four minutes.
You want to hear it?
Make it as concise as possible.
Okay.
Hit me with it.
You compare a dollar bill, the present-day dollar bill, to the one we used to have before the one we're using now, and that's the silver certificate.
And you can get a silver certificate, any coin dealer, for a double-face value.
Anyhow, on the dollar bill, it says it's a note, right?
Right.
Well, what is a note?
A note is a promise to pay.
And according to Black's Law Dictionary, a note requires four things.
Somebody must pay someone else, that's rather obvious, a certain amount by a certain time, a certain date.
Now you look on the note and you find that you find only one of those things, and that's the amount.
And yet it says it's a note.
Is that not fraud in your face?
Well, it's a rhetorical question.
Of course it is.
And I'll tell you this.
It's an issue that we don't address as much as perhaps we should here on this radio program because, of course, we deal with issues that revolve around more of a racial or a cultural animus.
But this is something that, of course, anyone to the right of center is at least somewhat familiar with.
And there's no doubt about it, Jim.
I mean, our money is worthless.
When I'm done, you'll realize why it's worthless.
Exactly.
And thank you for the call.
And, you know, I'll tell you what.
Hey, wait a minute.
Yeah.
Okay, go ahead, real quick.
I just got started.
Oh, oh, I see.
That was only 30 seconds worth.
Okay, so you realize that it is fraud in your face now.
Sure, sure.
Then you look at a silver certificate, and it says in no uncertain terms, this certifies that there is on deposit in the Treasury of the United States $1 in silver.
There's the guy that's going to pay.
Payable to the bearer, there's the guy that's going to be paid.
And then on demand, and there's your due date and the amounts on the corners.
That is a true note.
Now, if you took the present-day note, the Federal Reserve note, to the bank and ask them and say, hey, look, here's a dollar.
You owe me a dollar because you wrote me a note for it.
And the guy would look at you strange, and he'd probably give you four quarters.
You take those to a metal dealer, and you wind up with X amount of copper and a little teeny bit of nickel.
Maybe worth, I don't know, 15 cents.
There's no money in it.
Okay, you take the silver certificate when it was valid money and take it to the banker, and he owed you a dollar in silver.
One ounce of silver, one way or another, ten times four quarters.
Now, what is the difference here?
Well, where is the real note in our Federal Reserve note?
So you look in Black's Law.
They've covered their fanny.
And if you read Black's Law on Federal Reserve Note, it says that it is similar to the real note.
And I'm paraphrasing, okay?
So where is the real note?
Well, the real note is the guy who created the money.
And believe it or not, there is no money for those new cars on those streets out there, on those car lots.
There is no money for those new houses that they're selling.
It does not exist until somebody signs a note.
Well, Jim, what I'm going to have to do is, again, I'm blessed here with some great resources in terms of my co-host.
And this is something that is right up the alley of Eddie the Bombardier Miller.
He really follows this and is perhaps more conversant in it and more aware of the history of the money system.
Right.
I mean, it's not backed up by anything.
It's not worth anything.
No gold, no silver.
And it's an interesting thing, and perhaps we should cover it more.
Again, thank you for the call.
We've got to move on to some other people here, but it is something that we might need to invest a few.
Not that a couple of blog entries could possibly cover everything in play here, but an interesting story nonetheless.
I don't know what exactly we're going to do about it.
But nevertheless, sure, I mean, you know, it's kind of like spending, you know, buying things with monopoly money.
But again, more on that later.
Let's go to Tom in Pennsylvania.
We got all the rails are tied up.
All the lines are tied up.
And if you're trying to call in and you can't get through, we're going to try to go through people as quickly as possible and open up some more lines for you.
But let's go to the people in order in which they call Tom in Pennsylvania.
You're on with James Edwards.
Good evening, James.
How are you?
Buddy, I'm doing good.
Getting back to General McChrystal.
Right.
McChrystal isn't all Lily White either.
He's quite a politician in his own way.
I was listening to commentary on that.
He was involved in the cover-up of Pat Tillman.
I don't know how much you know about that, but I heard that on one of the other networks.
And I want to ask you a question, another comment.
Are we making any progress in educating people?
Well, I mean, sure, I think we are to the extent that we have an audience.
I mean, as big as our audience is, and it's certainly big compared to other paleoconservative entities.
I mean, this program has a very big audience, but compared to that being reached by Rush Limbaugh, no.
I mean, we're not reaching, let me put it this way.
Yes, we're doing the best we can with the number of people we have within our sphere of influence, but are we reaching enough people to really turn the tide of this country?
Not yet.
Okay.
I get awfully depressed sometimes talking to people because the way that they have been dumbed down and they're ill-educated.
If you try sometimes just asking the person to give you the definition of a dollar, and I have never met anybody that knows that a dollar is a unit of measure, a weight.
And then the other thing, on the lighter but sadder side of things, I was born in the state of Maryland.
My parents were born in North Carolina.
And I understand the state of Maryland is now disassociating itself from being a southern state, which is actually.
Yeah, we covered that.
Now, look, that's very sad, particularly for me because I am such a southern partisan at heart and a native-born Tennessean Confederate all the way.
Yeah, that's true.
We covered that, in fact, during our Confederate History Month series this past April.
That is true.
But, you know, again, why are they doing that?
Well, because they are infected with political correctness.
If they had much sense, they would know that there was no finer banner that has ever flown over any army than the St. Andrew's Cross.
They would be proud of that cultural heritage.
And again, you see, I mean, we might have 100,000 people tonight, Tom, that are listening to us on the various affiliates, listening to us on the internet, reading the content on our website.
But 100,000 people compared to the hundreds of millions that live in this country isn't really, you know, enough.
We need more.
That it's hard to do it because we're outmatched.
We're outfunded.
It's something, you know, but I think if we all do our part, everybody can be a hero in their own way.
If you do your part, I do my part.
Everyone listening tries to better the country in their small way.
I know it sounds kind of cliche, perhaps even naive, but we've all got to be pulling our weight.
That's for sure.
We've got just a few seconds left before the end of the segment.
So I'll give you the final word.
I've got to walk into my son's shop, which is a garage, and I put up a Confederate battle flag.
Good for you.
And somebody told him that we were Klansmen, and I said to him, I said, well, first of all, that is a St. Andrew's Cross.
That's what that is designed for.
And the battle flag has absolutely nothing to do with slavery.
And I said, those stars were the 11 of them were Confederate states.
The other two were two that never actually joined the Confederacy.
So I did my part in telling this black man exactly what it stood for.
I said, it has absolutely nothing to do with slavery at all.
And he really appreciated that.
And that's all I have to say, Jay.
I appreciate that.
And I appreciate you talking some sense into someone.
I guess if we could do a little bit more of that, our ranks would swell exponentially.
And again, I tell you, thank you for the call, Tom.
Thank you for your service, and thank you for being a listener.
And, you know, I'll tell you, Tom mentioned something that I think, again, is very important.
How should you respond to these accusations?
And why should you respond in the way that I advise?
Well, all of those answers are in my book.
And we're about to go to break.
We've got one more hour.
We're going to keep the open mic segment going.
It's always fun on the rare occasions that we have the time to do something like this.
So we're going to do it more in the third hour.
So keep trying to call in.
We're going to get to as many fans as we can.
But again, my book lays out how you should respond to these baseless accusations of Klansmen, racist, anti-Semite, xenophobe, whatever they want to call us.
They're all interchangeable.
Tells you why you should respond, how you should respond.
It's all there.
I lay it out.
It's ironclad.
ThepoliticalCesspool.org.
Get a copy of this book in your hand and then pass it off to anyone under 25 years of age.
They are the ones who need it.
That's for sure.
I'll be back with more, more of your calls right after this.
