Now first and foremost you can watch this video for the full context and yeah I will also say that just as making that video, making this video is a bit humiliating to be perfectly honest with you all but you know in When you are in certain situations you need to swallow your pride to try to optimize your chances of getting out of that bad situation.
So long story short, an ill-fated purchase of a house last year took its toll on the company finances and the private finances and now the year, the tax year after will of course come with a very big hit on the finances again.
Now I have second guessed myself many times was this the correct course of action.
Now last year also there were many unexpected expenses but I will say the following in you know I will say the following to myself and in general as well because I think some guys they might be able to relate to this particular sensation.
So we had a small apartment and you know the the first warning to get out from that particular area came a few years back when we had a shooting on our street.
So 20 meters up the street someone shooting into a neighboring house.
Now from what I could gather when I started to you know look into it probably some sort of drug related crime.
Who knows why but you know if you have a family you don't really want to live on a street where people are shooting at each other.
So that was the first sort of warning sign that yeah we should probably try to look at getting away from this particular area.
Now at that time I wasn't even close to be able to get anywhere.
Then the year after we had a murder on the same street.
So 15-20 meters away from our apartment there was a murder.
So that was sort of the last straw and then I said to myself okay whatever it takes need to get myself my two daughters and wife away from this particular area.
Had it only been me I could have you know it's it is what it is I could have lived there but when you have a family you want to you don't want to to raise children on on such a street and now we're talking about Sweden so it's not Super uncommon.
Had this been 20 years ago, it would have been a very big deal.
Now it's Gotham City everywhere, so it's not super rare either.
I've talked to other guys, you know, and they got, you know, heard hand grenades going off in the vicinity, so they also started to think about moving.
So, anyway, I have second-guessed myself.
I could probably have done many things differently, but at the end of the day, father with a family, you want to do whatever it takes to keep your family safer at least.
So, that in my humble opinion, that was the analysis I made.
And yeah, I can second guess myself saying that I should have done things differently.
But at the end of the day, the analysis I made then and there, I think most guys can relate to this, especially if you have children.
Then, of course, politically speaking, and this is also the sort of the fun thing of it all is that I have, for the last 10 years, worked politically, metapolitically to get a change to enact change in this regard because I've said for many years, even longer than 10 years, that the current trajectory, Swedish society, not only in Sweden, we see the same development in all of the West.
It's getting increasingly dangerous.
So, I've said this for many years and I've been cancelled for it.
I've taken the hit, been under psychological, intense psychological pressure for the last 10 years as a result of me speaking out against the very development that now saw shots being fired on the street I was living at.
So, I'm vindicated, very vindicated indeed.
And now, I will also say the following: that had I been allowed to live a normal life, run a normal business with the same play rules as anyone else, I wouldn't have been in this situation.
