Greetings my esteemed subscribers.
Before you you see me checking in from Paradise doing some bastrika pranayama, aka bellows breath.
So the technique is quite simple.
You can envision your belly as being a bellows and you aggressively exhale.
And you can do 15 to 20 repetitions before going into a breath hold, which you see me doing right now.
And you can of course, if you are out in a paradise-like environment, you can simply focus on your surroundings.
You can focus on the wind, you can focus on the sensation of the sunlight caressing your skin.
Or if you are meditating upon something in particular, such as the runes, this would be the time you can do it.
So this can be an entry point to a deeper meditation.
You can do a few rounds of Bastrika Pranayama before going into a meditation.
Or you can just view it as yogic coffee, as some people have labeled the exercise.
So it has many uses and you can experiment a bit with it.
So basic point is that you can take a few relaxing breaths and then you go into the breathing itself.
So looking at my belly again, I envision it as a bellows that is pumping.
So that is the main mental technique, the main mental image that you can use for this particular exercise.
So this is similar enough to Breath of Fire, but the difference is that the emphasis is on the exhale during Bastrika Pranayama.
So bellows breath.
So hopefully that tutorial, this tutorial, is useful to you.
And I highly encourage you to experiment a bit with this breathing exercises and with meditation overall.
It's a quite rewarding quest, I can assure you.
