The Golden One - Marcus Follin - Bhastrika Pranayama – Bellows Breath Aired: 2022-08-06 Duration: 02:26 === Bellows Breath Meditation (02:14) === [00:00:11] Greetings my esteemed subscribers. [00:00:14] Before you you see me checking in from Paradise doing some bastrika pranayama, aka bellows breath. [00:00:22] So the technique is quite simple. [00:00:24] You can envision your belly as being a bellows and you aggressively exhale. [00:00:29] And you can do 15 to 20 repetitions before going into a breath hold, which you see me doing right now. [00:00:37] And you can of course, if you are out in a paradise-like environment, you can simply focus on your surroundings. [00:00:44] You can focus on the wind, you can focus on the sensation of the sunlight caressing your skin. [00:00:51] Or if you are meditating upon something in particular, such as the runes, this would be the time you can do it. [00:00:59] So this can be an entry point to a deeper meditation. [00:01:05] You can do a few rounds of Bastrika Pranayama before going into a meditation. [00:01:10] Or you can just view it as yogic coffee, as some people have labeled the exercise. [00:01:18] So it has many uses and you can experiment a bit with it. [00:01:23] So basic point is that you can take a few relaxing breaths and then you go into the breathing itself. [00:01:33] So looking at my belly again, I envision it as a bellows that is pumping. [00:01:40] So that is the main mental technique, the main mental image that you can use for this particular exercise. [00:01:48] So this is similar enough to Breath of Fire, but the difference is that the emphasis is on the exhale during Bastrika Pranayama. [00:02:00] So bellows breath. [00:02:02] So hopefully that tutorial, this tutorial, is useful to you. [00:02:07] And I highly encourage you to experiment a bit with this breathing exercises and with meditation overall. [00:02:15] It's a quite rewarding quest, I can assure you. [00:02:19] So anyway, thank you for watching and thank you for your support.
