Time Text
Greetings you proud sons of Rome.
I thought to record a historical battle here in good old Total War Attila to pump myself up before hitting the temple.
And I'm looking rather like a barbarian.
This is the first Let's Play I make with a face cam where I actually have my beard.
So barbarian mode right here.
And I'm gonna save the Catalonian planes for another week or so.
This is the one I've been looking forward the most to.
might make a cola with someone to play that one because that's the most epic one in my book.
We have, I don't know how you pronounce it, Susson.
So we're gonna go with that and then we'll gonna work ourselves down and probably make an episode for each of these if they are if this episode is appreciated.
So let's head into it.
I'm gonna go with difficulty hard here actually.
Usually I play on very hard in my campaigns, but we're gonna go with this one.
So we are actually the Franks and yeah, as I said, I have the barbarian mode on here.
So it will be an exciting battle for sure.
And I have actually never played with the Franks up until this point, so it will be nice to play some more of the factions in this brilliant game.
And I might say it before I said it again, I'm really, really impressed with Attila.
It is one of the best games I have played.
So with that said, let's head on into the battles.
Start battle.
Let's enjoy the cinematic.
The Western Roman Empire has collapsed.
A rump state, the domain of Suesanes, remains in Gaul, led by Siagrius.
However, Siagrius' lands are coveted by the neighboring Franks.
The Frankish king, Clovis I, has challenged him to battle.
The capture of Suesanes would double the size of the nascent Frankish kingdom.
Alright, go time.
Go time in.
Today, we claim Swesenez for ourselves.
Swesenes.
Alright, let's advance carefully here.
We have a large army here.
Frankish cavalry guard.
And there is their general.
We're gonna try to aim for him to get at him.
Voila, look at this.
Glorious.
Let's have a look at the units.
Ah, beautiful.
brutal frankish infantryman here ready to fight the ready to fight goal and And are they responding to my threat here?
The Axis will in all actuality, and this must be Clovis then.
Scout Equites.
See if they can catch them here.
Are they going straight at us?
Okay, cool.
They uh, went straight at us there.
All right, get at him.
medium calorie boom okay that I did not see that coming that That was a strategic mistake on my part.
I thought I could admire the scenery a bit first, but I but I could not.
Okay, let's get those boys first there.
All right, pikemen will have to be.
Okay, you can stop there, true friends, exploratares okay, they will be an easy match for our superior troops.
Now I've played quite a bit with my Western Roman Empire campaign and then also an Eastern Roman Empire campaign.
I haven't made any let's plays on it yet, but I will probably show you some of it at least.
Let's zoom into this charge now.
Oh fuck, look at that.
Good god, not jealous of those, of those poor Romans.
We're going to try to avoid friendly fire here.
Okay, we can't be standing here and...
Alright then, there is the general.
We could turn this battle right here, right now, if we want.
Gonna try to get, get around him somewhere some way.
I mean glory to Frankia.
And obviously, if you haven't seen the Vikings the third episode they are they are fighting the Franks there.
Frankish Lancers admire this rear charge now, true friends, boom now.
Glory to Frankia.
I was gonna say Rome or Macedon, but it would have been, it would have been a false shout.
Okay, let's I for a circ on you at least, and now get their general boom.
This is a bloody and brutal battle, and now I might have said this in the past, but I say so many things and make so many videos.
I might as well talk about it some more.
I love historical gaming because they always learn, because they always learn so much.
So I had no idea about this battle until I, until I chose it for this.
Let's play.
So that's one of the cool things with with like total war, for example, you learn so much.
So now I know about the Clovis expansion into into France.
Okay, we need to break you from the Torres.
I'm gonna try to break away with you also here light skirmisher Shouldn't be any problem.
And can we get you as well?
Mounted death.
Men of Germania, love it.
And see there are Hercularia Signores.
Cool.
If we could use get at their general, I would be a very happy Germanic tribesman.
Glorious.
Can we...
Ah, glory to Germania!
They will indeed.
They will indeed.
So yeah, I wish I could elaborate a bit on the Frankish expansion into France or into Gaul or into the Roman territories there.
But I will actually do this now.
And I would like to invite you to do it as well.
Like, take a good few hours.
Once in a while, go into Wikipedia and just read up on things you don't really have a clue about.
So you know that for future reference.
And then also, when you are on Wikipedia, you always tend to tend to click extra links to read on and stuff.
They are Frankish lands now, boys.
Okay, cool.
Wonderful.
And battle.
Period quickly.
I realized that this was by no means any display in tactical prowess by my part.
I just mainly want to make this video because I'm really excited for it.
Just wanted to show some more of Attila, want to play the Franks, want to play this battle.
Some additional testosterone in there, some additional history knowledge, want to show my beard in this angle.
So I hope you enjoyed the video.
And yeah, I'll try to play through this if this is well received.
And now I will go on and hit the gym.
I will bench for the hench in all actuality.
But that will have to be for another video.
Anywho my I'm the Germanic tribesman of glory.
