Time Text
Greetings, oh glorious sons of the old father Can you guess how excited I am right now?
I haven't been this excited in a very long time It's alive, we're in Atela Total War and you see the blasphemous Hans are wreaking chaos here in the background Lord Rob with some glorious Lindwald's coffee For optimal gaming performance as well.
Also big shout out to my Serbian brother Uros who despite being a mere 17 years of age managed 110 kilo in the bench and 180 kilo in the deadlift big shout out So yes, I am super fucking excited.
We're gonna go into the grand campaign and look at some of the The factions that are available.
I'm gonna do two campaigns In all actuality because I'm so fucking pumped up right now and Norseman obviously has to be one of the choices for one of the campaigns.
I might twitch later on as well.
I'll see how we'll sort this out.
Oh, beloved true friends, Norseman Judes looking fucking, look how aesthetic as fuck he looks.
Got Danes, also fucking juicy.
But here is the fang, true friends of the Northman, the Geets.
In Swedish it's Jertar, and my father actually is from Jataland, so he will be excited when I tell him that you can actually be Geets or Jertar in this game.
So yeah, I'm actually.
I'm actually a bustad because my mother is Asliyar and my father is a Jota.
So Look how look, how glorious this guy looks.
Look how fucking juicy he looks with a beard of glory.
Looks like Rollo in Vikings.
If you haven't checked out Vikings yet, do so.
A really glorious TV series right there.
So see, it's the Jataland of Sweden.
But then, like you know, it's not really any difference between Norwegians Swedes Jertar, Skanians and stuff like that.
It's just, you know the ancient tribes?
I guess it were, but it's fun nonetheless.
And speaking of bustage, I'm also a bustard in the eyes of the church, but I'm a pagan, so it's cool, I know I don't care about that.
So our first campaign will actually be with the Giats.
And then also fun fact here is that the etymology of the, the name, is obviously from Jataland, but so is the Gots, like they stem from the same place as well, and obviously the Visigoths as well.
So a great many people wandered out of Scandinavia during those times and it's so fucking glorious for me to be able to play a game where I can represent my own, my own people like.
Otherwise I've been representing the Celts quite a bit and the Greeks, but now it's time for the, the north, and look at that, my hammer of Thor is with me.
So, legendary ancestors of Beowulf, the Getii manifest all the interpret boldness of the famous hero.
From their stronghold on the southern tip of the Swedish peninsula, they have a naval access to the whole of the north Europe, allowing them to launch frequent raids without fear of retribution.
Their most glorious exploits are told in the Getii rich, Holar tradition, inspiring new generation to seek glory.
While the arrival of the Huns in Europe means disaster for most, the Getiai, it's another opportunity.
There are rich pickings to be gained fighting for the highest bidder in the south.
Crisis is blooming in these fertile lands, and the Gethii are determined to be at its heart, profiting from it.
Now glory to the old father!
And you can hear even the music is highly glorious.
I'm so fucking excited now.
I sense that I've talked long enough.
We're gonna go with very hard because I want to show off my skills for all my true friends.
So, Viking raiders, incom, sucking, looting, raiding, cold blood, immune to snow attrition.
We're gonna start off right now.
Glory to the Old Father!
The air was filled with smoke and blood.
Roan was weak.
The tribes grew in strength and number.
This is glorious.
Their roots went deep, and they felt the earth's blood pounding through the land.
But their borders were threatened, for a great storm raged in the east.
storm of blasphemy one by one the tribe scattered as seeds in the wind And behold, a red horse, and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth.
The blood of their kin would be avenged.
Great hunters.
They tempered their blades in Roman blood and saw their once mighty walls reduced to dust.
They made ready for war.
I am pumped up right now.
No question about it at all.
We'll bring glory to the All Father.
The world is changing.
A lasting cold creeps from the north, and you must seek opportunities south of your homelands if you are to survive and prosper.
Take to the seas and explore nearby shores, for the local tribes will be no match for your warriors.
The plunder they bury the coffers for the trials ahead.
The exploration and conquest of distant lands, of corrupt empires grown weak through years of infighting.
Ah, look at that.
England tribes without the strength or will to fight.
By sea or by land, the south is yours for the taking.
Triumph, and they will sing songs of your deeds until the end of days.
Alright, it is go time.
We are in.
Survive until the following date, spring 400.
Okay, that shouldn't be a problem.
Alright, let's look at the gameplay, true friends.
Let us look at the gameplay indeed.
And keep in mind, this is the first look I have at the game as well.
I was so excited, I decided I'm doing a let's play on it immediately.
I'm gonna flee here.
Gonna look at Diplomacy and see who we can harass.
Okay, we're friendly with them.
Western Roman Empire, but they're quite um, quite strong actually.
These guys we can, we can fight against.
The Varinians.
How dare they talk to me like that?
Or we could actually do like this: can actually try to sack this place to fight against the Romans double time.
Gonna try to raid them in all actuality.
Do we have any land troops for the tribe?
We don't want to fight against the Danes, but for everyone who is for everyone, basically.
Sweden and Denmark has always fought great many battles with each other, in all actuality.
So, some history right there.
Yeah, we've fought a good bit with each other over the years.
We're gonna see if we can...
We're gonna look at the technology tree.
Now, this is upgraded from Rome 2 as well, as you can see.
A bit cleaner design.
We're gonna look at the possibility of going with Civic here in all actuality.
Ready for battle!
We have another army, and why not, in all actuality, also raid a bit with those.
Oh, thank you very much for that.
I know, I know what I'm doing.
We're gonna look at racing, okay, okay.
can we build something undeveloped land if the enemy is getting too close and it looks like you will lose a region i see the graphics is upgraded a bit as well Prime forest with the ruined building icons on the campaign map.
Deserted regions.
I see the mercenaries here as well.
Mercenary Nordic Brigade for Milin.
We're gonna end turn and see.
Okay, we're gonna look here first.
And there is our dog.
It means day in Swedish, like it's an older Swedish name.
The records tab is youth.
Alright, enough of that.
I want to fight.
End turn.
Provincial governor?
Okay, that's new.
Alright, true friends.
This is a totally new fang in all actuality to appoint a governor, so we can do that here.
So, looking at the Details of the settlement.
We're gonna appoint Giser statesman.
We can look here as well.
Okay.
Yeah, we have a lot to learn here.
We're gonna appoint you as Alright, now I found it.
Okay, see, see governors here.
Officers, governors.
So we can choose here.
We're gonna go with Giser here.
And hopefully it works.
Governors assigned.
Giser.
Okay.
And then you can remove him from office as well.
Cool.
Let's see if we can end okay.
Edict issued.
Oh yeah.
There we are.
Growth 10 plus construction cost minus 10.
Let's go with that.
Alright, I utilize a little edit there.
Edict issued.
Highly sickening.
So, and here, up here we have the cash and flow.
We got plenty of food actually, but you see the public order is going down a bit.
I'm not really comfortable with that at all.
I want to go down there.
Okay, the Danes and Jutes are cool with us.
How nice.
Ah, no, they weren't cool at all.
We're gonna look at the diplomacy and see if we can be friends with them.
The Danes.
Greetings.
Danish shoots.
Likely at low.
Military access is a symbol of trust between two factions, allowing troops to be able to get one another's territory without diplomatic.
Hello.
No, they don't really.
Military action is used to broker military a lot.
Arrange marriage.
Okay, cool.
You can do a lot of cool things here.
You see, the diplomacy is also upgraded a bit.
I love it.
Love it.
Let's sail forth with our mighty ships.
I think you as well.
Ah.
How dare the Romans withhold treasure from us like this?
The sea snakes.
Alright, we're gonna try to sack this settlement.
Alrighty then.
Disease outbreak!
Consumption!
A foul pestilence has erupted within our lands, no doubt a result of filth and squalor.
Okay, that means we have to look at the possibility of creating some sort of sanitation thing.
We're gonna look at here what the crack is: labor service, local traditions.
Okay, gonna go with that.
And can we upgrade Wicker Maker?
No.
Oh, we can't build those either.
Dismantle, no.
Okay.
Hmm.
Yeah, I've heard that squalor is supposed to be a bigger problem.
Do we have a little settlement as well?
Wow, they had a fucking huge army so we're not gonna...
Please select one of your own to learn more about their abilities.
We're not gonna do that, in all actuality.
Alright, servants.
Alright, you proud sons of the old father.
The time has come for us to engage in battle.
We have our long ships and these blasphemous Romans must pay for the heinous crimes.
If a faction's initial offer or demand isn't quite a good thing.
Darlos, I love you.
Winning a battle isn't just about greater numbers.
The balance of units and the general's ability are important factors also.
Now, I'm gonna look at the possibility of sacking this settlement.
Flavius Vento of the Western Roman Empire gets attacked by the Gethii.
And this we have some glorious Nordic long ships.
And if you haven't listened to Armon Armart, do it.
I just got reminded of Pursuit of the Vikings.
Things about long ships, etc.
Glorious for getting in the mode, getting in lifting mode.
And then also, Robert Lowe has written a very good series, The Oath Zone, on Vikings.
So, weather conditions dry suits me just fine.
I have no idea how good these ships are.
Ah, look how glorious they are, though.
And look at the graphics as well.
Foi, Mirin.
Take time to explore the battle, user.
Now, all father.
Okay, we can land there.
Ah, look at this.
They have a little redoubt here in the water.
Hello, ship.
Come on, why don't you want to fight me, though?
Look how glorious this is, though.
Look how fucking beautiful this ship is.
Gonna look at the possibility of admiring these ships as well.
Foi.
This, true, friend, this is glorious.
I'm excited as fuck.
I'm gonna speed up the gameplay a bit.
Until we get closer.
Let's admire the battlefield just a bit.
So we're gonna try to land here.
We're gonna land there.
And then it's a small settlement.
And you can admire how glorious the rugged landscape looks.
Here, it's a bit gritty and dirty.
It's like hard to explain like with words, but I like it.
I like it greatly.
Blake, that's what I was looking for.
The landscape is bleak.
Aha, you couldn't land there.
That was it.
Assault ships ready to attack.
Okay, so they couldn't land.
Ready and waiting.
Okay, so we're gonna see if we can shoot at them.
Ah, look at that.
Foi.
All right, so we might do like this Just gonna try to get this beachhead right now and not advance any further until our glorious general Sigar comes sickening
All right, we are in battle, true friends.
We are finally in battle Ah, look at that.
The, the Roman cavalry gets charged by our proud sons there and we, we have one more slot there to to land on.
Other routing How brilliant.
All right, so what we'll do, true friends, we're gonna look at just claiming this beach head.
Wait on for our general.
Whoa, look at that.
Look at that.
I was.
I was, in all actuality, speeding up the gameplay a bit and then we got ambushed, so we're gonna try to save our crowd general there.
Ah, look at that.
Fuck, that is not good one bit.
Ah fuck, we got a rear charge on us.
Come on and you proud sons of the old father, hurry up.
At least we got a rear charge there.
Cohorse withdraw.
The men have thrown down their weapons and are fleeing.
Shameful display Warriors eager for blood Let's admire the action for Scrappers.
Perhaps I should actually have hired some mercenaries.
All right, we might actually lose this battle a bit kind of shameful display, but but it is what it is.
I'll try to redeem myself in the next battle.
Look at this, though.
Barbarians against Romans.
Love it.
Absolutely love it.
The battle is not completely lost yet, but you see the balance of power up here.
Standard shot.
Come on then, fire!
A retreat?
Oh, look at that.
Close a bit.
And I wanted to impress my true friends by a victory.
Oh, well, it is what it is.
We'll get him next time.
Fleet ready.
Thirsty for battle.
Ready for orders.
Stragglers will be left behind.
We're gonna do it like this, true friends.
We're gonna hire some...
No, we can't hire mercenaries.
The longer a settlement is under siege, the worse its physical condition becomes, making it easier for the attacker to penetrate the defenses.
This also means that the state of a besieged settlement will be reflected in the condition of its buildings and the morale of its defenders during any battle that we can do.
We're gonna look at sieging those there.
Then we have another army here.
Skites of the morning and we're actually gonna hire these mercenaries here And place that ladies under siege.
The Danes are their allies.
Oh well.
It is what it is.
Fuck.
May not be able to fight as a single force.
A faction can field a maximum of 40 units or not.
That was really stupid of me.
It was really, really stupid of me.
Oh well.
I'll try to say salvage this campaign anyway.
Alright, true friends, we got to charge.
I'm gonna elect to flee here.
And see okay, we can't flee anymore.
Then we'll have to fight, true friends.
We will have to fight this battle in all actuality.
The Embers.
Dog.
Alright, so this will be the great battle of wartime.
No, but the great battle of this episode at least.
It might just be the case that I mismanaged this campaign as it were, but it's all really solved funny way.
You can secretly arrange your units inside the diploma.
So, oh look this, it's snowing in Britain.
We are gonna look at the possibility of defending this high ground.
Something like that We hunger for blood and battle we're gonna keep them there The general will be kept in behind the battle line.
True friends in all actuality.
men of the north love it absolutely love it and now they they can actually come to us if they want will for missiles can be toggled if they want to box with us
I'm gonna take no standard shot is okay.
The enemy is coming up here, is he?
Hello Romans, do you want to box with me?
Do you want to fight me?
They're looking quite glorious though to be honest.
But they will be no match for our northern heathens So yeah as I was gonna say like it might just be the case that this this campaign in particular becomes a bit hard to manage considering I made the decision to charge the the other Nordic region that was allied to the Danes.
But it is what it is.
We'll try to manage this campaign either way all right so do we have a chance at this battle?
Because if we do we can hopefully hire some mercenaries later on and then sack their settlements.
But you see here Sextus Perennis Palatina guards they look they look rather fucking juicy to be honest like so we're gonna have an all-out charge on us I'm gonna try to defend this right now alright true friends the enemy is nearing
we're gonna scout we're gonna counter this scout cavalry here with our own and you see they are getting fired at it's a trap oh look there we are
we are not how dare you talk with this defeatist attitude no we're gonna fire at border guards wow look at this intense action though men of the north and the the blasphemous horsemen stand no chance
And we're gonna look at the possibility of not be bothered too much by these guys.
No, do not fire on those.
Explorates.
Come on, just die then.
I'm gonna get the other ones there.
Space iOS.
Oh.
Oh a bit of a mistake there by me yeah if I'm not the talkative I'm trying to salvage this battle back to the fight man not Darlos I love you It's a bit hard to see what's uh what's what there actually
Encounter these guys if you want fearless warriors and now this shouldn't be a problem like light cavalry against our heavy infantry spearmen ready for battle and look at the the Viking shields I love those really really glorious Come on and die for me Romans die for me
Alright they haven't they haven't engaged their main force yet so I suppose this this battle might be hard to say the least to To win but we're gonna do as much damage as possible on them at least.
Oh look at the Experates are coming as well fuck those are looking really glorious though to be honest Men of the North.
All righty then, it looks like we are getting slayed here, in all actuality.
Ah and dog has fallen as well.
Okay, this did not go according to plan Not one bit decisive defeat, okay Fuck oh well true friends.
Oh well it is what it is It would seem that we haven't really made any great land gains this this episode Can actually actually take those it is it's fine it's cool and our proud Viking died there
Alright, so that will also have to conclude this episode but it was more like to oh What's this now you are attacking Aha.
Okay.
Now we will not conclude this glorious episode because we will have another fight, true friends.
The wild hunters.
Alright, this will be glorious.
This will be highly glorious.
Now we got this episode a bit longer, but it's the first Attila episode, so I suppose the more gameplay is shown, the better.
In all actuality right, we're gonna start the battle.
Our troops aren't on the battlefield yet, So we had a massive Germanic in-fighting battle here at hand.
I'm gonna speed up the gameplay a bit and edit.
Be back in just a few.
Alright, true friends.
The thing is, we're quite far away from the action, but our allies have charged.
And you see, they're looking the same.
Everyone is looking the same, so you don't really see who's who, but the right side is our allies, in all actuality.
So.
And I think they will steamroll the enemy quite a bit.
You see the balance of power right there.
So we're gonna try to rush in and claim some of the glory at least.
Alright, one of our units has come into combat.
Fire brave men of Germania.
I could get used to this.
Alright.
There we have the enemy.
Ah, look at that arrow rain.
Fuck.
And there we got a taste of it ourselves, actually.
These are only mercenary units though.
Alright, run away.
You don't want to fight and we don't need to fight them.
And here comes our troops.
Nordic band all right so we got to clash with enemy right there right now Warriors eager for blood.
Now, I will try to redeem myself.
A bit at least, because I haven't really been that good in this episode so far.
In all actuality, I've lost two battles.
I'm gonna try to not losing another one.
I'm gonna have you stand something like that.
Okay, never mind.
Just get the Germanic nobles there.
And you will try to get a flank charge there.
Actually, my own Germanic nobles.
Try to get a flank charge there.
Or even a rear charge.
And you get the Germanic bows out of my sight immediately.
I see the balance power is very much in our favor.
So we're just gonna get a glorious charge in here.
And look, those are really, really glorious.
No!
Oh, father, I love you.
Let's admire this charge.
Our blue warriors coming in there.
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
Ah, mirin.
Absolutely glorious.
The heavy Germanic nobles right there.
I'm gonna zoom into the action a bit.
Sickening.
And now the battle.
Ah, look at that.
Victory.
Highly glorious.
Highly glorious indeed.
The blasphemous Varinians got smashed.
And now We might actually still be in this game.
I thought, like, okay, I've already messed up this campaign.
But we'll do some more episodes and see where we are at, in all actuality.
Kill captives.
Take on warriors.
Ransom and release.
No, we're gonna take on warriors actually.
Just a new thing, also.
Really cool.
Like it.
And there we see the other factions, as it were.
Huge map, obviously, as it was in Rome.
Dog, deceased.
Succession.
Natural causes.
Forget it.
Okay, some events there.
So, thank you so much for watching.
As you can tell, I'm quite excited.
This was more of a learning episode, as it were.
But I'll make I'll set up another campaign as well on Atila.
And then we'll see how well we fare with the Geets.
But I'll try to make, you know, a good few episodes as well.
So, glory to the All Father.
And who am I?
