Hey guys, well I'm here with my favorite doctor, Dr. Mark Sherwood here today.
And guess what I just got?
It is a giant box of a Kingdom Crunch cereal.
His new line of cereal called Kingdom Crunch.
And this particular flavor is Acai Bowl.
And let me tell you, it is so, so, so, so, so tasty and delicious.
But besides from it being so tasty, I have Dr. Sherwood here to tell us why it's so good for you, too, and why it's so amazing and should be in everyone's cover.
So what's up with this incredible cereal that you sent me that I can't stop eating, Dr. Sherwood?
Well, many times when we hear the word cereal, we think unhealthy, poisonous, chemical, carcinogenic.
Shouldn't be eating it.
That is quite the opposite.
High protein, zero added sugars, organic ingredients, and healthy fats such as medium-trained triglycerides.
Deanna, that should be in everyone's cupboard, in every child's mouth, every day.
That is truly healthy and life-giving for kids.
I recommend it all the way.
Not because I made it, but because it solves a real problem in today's world.
Excuse me, I can't stop eating a butt.
I gave it to my son, Maverick, who also loves cereal, but I don't want it to eat cereal except for this.
This is really, really good.
It's really tasty.
It actually tastes like real acai in your mouth.
And it's packed full of all these nutrients and no sugar, right?
No added sugar?
That's insane.
How is it so sweet then?
Yeah, we use stevia, monk fruit, and some alulose there.
All of which, get this.
Are diabetic friendly, they won't raise blood sugar, which is another benefit.
I've had people ask me, can I eat that if I'm diabetic?
Yes, you can.
And you can fix your diabetes.
Yay!
Awesome.
Well, this is so good.
Where can everybody find this Kingdom Crunch cereal?
They can find it at sherwood.tv forward slash shots and use your discount code to save...
Promo code shots.
Promo code shots and they can save some money off there and support your program.
Absolutely.
All right, go to...

Welcome back to Shots Fired.
Well, we've been talking a lot on the show about child trafficking, really an epidemic in not only the United States, but all across the world of child trafficking, child sex trafficking, and nobody else seems to cover it, but we're going to be covering it constantly because it is such a problem.
It is such a problem of epidemic proportions that a lot of people don't really understand.
This is happening right under our noses.
And what's really sinister about it is that there's a lot of organizations and groups that are really front groups for child trafficking.
And nobody else is covering it.
The media won't cover it.
Well, the media does cover it, but they are covering for them.
They will cover for these child trafficking front groups and organizations.
We've talked extensively about CPS and that entire foster care system, how that's truly, you know, basically legalized kidnapping and child trafficking at this point.
So we're talking more about this and delving deeper into the rabbit hole with an incredible investigative journalist named Audra Morgan, who's been following these stories for years and researching on it.
And we're going to talk about a couple of these very sinister front groups for child trafficking that most people are not aware of.
So Audra Morgan, welcome to Shots Fired.
How are you?
Good, Deanna.
Thank you so much for having me.
Great to have you here for the first time.
All right, so yeah, I mean, on this show and in this network, we talk extensively about this problem that's just, it's kind of like a shadow issue or threat to America and American families, especially, that most non-suspecting parents don't understand.
So tell us a little bit more about what's going on here, and then we'll delve deeper into some of these groups, like the Southwest Key Programs.
Yeah, it's really sad what's going on.
I mean, all children are in the crosshairs.
There's a massive attack on children happening from so many different angles, whether it's the schools through the gender ideology that's happening in the schools, abortion, right?
But then you have CPA.
Yes, and it's supposed to be Child Protective Services, and I would like to call it Child Predator Services because that's exactly what it is.
They're abducting children, kidnapping them from their parents, and there's many ways to do it.
It could be just that families had an encounter with CPS.
You're getting a divorce, and they need to figure out custody.
So many different things, and so...
It's sad because they come in and they act like we're here to protect the children.
But what they're doing is like if there is a custody battle and say the father is abusive to the mother and the mother's trying to run away from him, they don't give them any real means to get protection and safety.
What they do is demonize that mother after she's made these reports and wind up putting the children with their abuser.
And it's just insanity to me because I'm like, how can you say you're protecting children when you're also sitting here and threatening?
Like in San Diego County, we have a place called the Polinsky Center.
And there has been already over 150 cases that have come forward of decades of abuse that took place.
And these are adults now that have come forward.
But you still have children being sent to this location.
And they will retaliate against parents not only for...
Using their First Amendment rights and even just filing complaints.
I have a friend who's an attorney who's in the CPS system.
The judge has told her she cannot file any more filings into the courts.
And it's like they're doing these things arbitrarily and capriciously.
And it's very sad because they want to make the parents so afraid that they don't say anything, that they just see what's going on.
And I don't know if you know this, but after 15 months, they basically are set to adopt your kids.
So they have no plans at all of giving them back to the parents.
They basically keep them in this place of limbo with their case plan.
And sometimes they don't even give them a case plan, but they're like, if you do this, A, B, C, D, all the way through Z, we'll give you your kids back.
Well, they wrap them up with it for so long that after 15 months, they've already started the process to adopt them out.
And then they'll tell them, well, you don't want your children to be with a loving family?
I can't imagine hearing that, but it is so atrocious, the things that they are telling these people and the things that they're doing right under our nose that we're funding and our government's complicit in it.
Yeah, not only, yeah, complicit, aiding and abetting, supporting and encouraging it, funding it, all of this, and it's so nefarious.
What's horrible is that they typically, you know, it seems like they will start an investigation and...
So they take them out of these loving homes who did nothing wrong, but they're finding wrong in them, claiming abuse, and then putting them into these actual factually abusive households.
With some of these parents having like five, six, maybe even ten of these foster children, they take no care for them.
A lot of times they don't have enough food for them.
They literally sexually abuse them or hit them.
There's visible bruising, and they keep them in there.
So it's like instead of returning them back to the parents who are jumping through hoops, going through parenting classes, doing everything that these CPS agents tell them they need to do to reunite with their children, and are literally good, loving parents, they're keeping them in these abusive homes.
It makes no sense, except when you understand that, wait a second, this really isn't protection of children.
This is organized child trafficking.
I mean, they're not meant to reunite with the parents.
Right?
No, not at all.
And that's exactly.
And it's sad because they think that like, you know, many of them believe that what they're doing is going to lead them to get their children back, but they'll spend years on end.
I mean, and by the time some of them have gone through the system, their children are grown up.
I mean, can you imagine not being able to, you know, you're doing everything you can because they have so much PTSD, too, and they're being alienated.
So they feel like they're alone.
And I'm the only one dealing with this.
That's why it's so important to talk about it.
So other people go, oh, my gosh, I'm not alone.
I'm not the only one going through this.
And the tactics that they use across the board, doesn't matter if you're in.
Here in California or you're in Georgia.
The tactics are the same.
They even have CPS workers told and set out to lie on the reports to manufacture all of these things so that they can say that they're unsafe.
I mean, I even know of like two psychologists that were diagnosed with PTSD, oh my gosh, with autism.
And they like basically, I'm sorry, there was another.
Person with autism and they said that they were unsafe.
These parents had bipolar disorder.
And so it was like, because of that, they said that you're not safe to take care of your children, but we'll go ahead and put them with the foster family who is getting like six to $12,000 a month to do it.
So the fact that they don't even have food and stuff is ridiculous, but they'll put them all in one room and then they'll tell the parents, well, do you have a separate room for your child?
And if you don't, then we can't place them there.
It's not going to be safe.
So they'll find any excuse under the sun, basically to keep the parents in limbo until they adopt them out and put them with some nefarious people like a gay couple who's going to, you know, potentially transition your child.
And that's what they want.
I mean, in order to change a whole generation, you have to screw up the children.
That's why they're doing it in every form or fashion and trying.
I'm like, what is happening here?
I don't understand how we...
We can glorify it, especially with all of the pride flags and all of those things.
And they want to say, "We're safety for all." They never mean that.
You know, this is just lip service and doublespeak that they're giving the people so that it seems like something's being done.
Just like when they say, we're going to go and, you know, combat and find all these traffickers.
We're going to rescue these people.
I'm like, well, when are we going to start looking at the government?
They're the ones doing it.
They're the largest trafficking ring.
And I'm like, nobody wants to go after them.
You want to go after these.
It's kind of like going after the mom and pops of the things.
Of course, you want to go after them and get them out of here.
But it allows people to think, well, the problem is being taken care of and we can kind of just sit back and let them take it, you know, like take the ring down.
But if you're not going to go after the people that are facilitating this, I mean, HHS is the largest human trafficker, child trafficker in our nation.
Wow.
It's unbelievable and sinister.
Now, tell me about this Southwest Key Programs.
What have you uncovered and discovered about this organization?
So they've gotten billions of dollars from the taxpayers to traffic the unaccompanied alien children that have come across the border.
As we know, the government has said, you know, we've lost track of, you know, 300, so odd, 25,000 children, and we're still looking for over 200,000 of them.
I guarantee you that number is probably in a million or more.
And these children are easier to traffic because no one's looking for them.
Like with CPS, those parents are like, I want my child back, so you're always seeing them, right?
With these kids, they come, they're two years old, we'll have like a little...
Things attached to their shirt that says where they're going.
And that's what was so disturbing to me about finding is that they said, well, we have all these programs for them.
We have foster care for them.
Not a question of going, why are they coming?
Well, how would a two-year-old, and they'll use excuses like, well, they wanted to leave their country.
Oh, did they?
Do they even know who their president is?
I don't think they know anything like that that's going on.
But you guys are using them as a means to traffic more.
And so Southwest Key.
It's one of the largest NGOs in America that has been trafficking these children.
And they're supposed to be like a respite center, like a transitional type of a thing.
But I mean, in Texas, there's been Walmarts that they shut down to open up to put thousands of these children in there.
In California, here in San Diego, the convention center in 2021, they used it for one month.
There were a couple of thousand children.
They were teenagers, mixed boys and girls.
And after a month, they said, well, we found their sponsor.
We don't need to have them anymore.
So they'll bring them in, traffic them through there.
I mean, they even pay these people a very pretty penny just to traffic the kids so they shut up and don't ask any questions.
It's when people start asking questions and kind of chipping away at what they're doing that they're like, we got to get them out of here because we can't have this be ruined.
Like, we need to keep this, like...
conveyor belt of children coming in, because not only are they like become sex slaves, they can become labor slaves.
We've got adrenochrome that nobody wants to talk about, organ harvesting that's happening.
And if you saw what was going on with the government and their judicial hearings on child trafficking, they would bring up, all of these experts would bring up even just the organ harvesting.
And they would say, well, that was done in Mexico.
Yeah, well, it was sold in America.
And that child is still coming across our border.
I don't care where it happened.
We should be bringing light to it and exposing it because once you expose it, you bring awareness.
Once there's awareness, the change can come because people go, we got to do something about this.
Like my child could be in the crosshairs.
Any child that is alive in the world today is a potential victim of all of this trafficking.
And it's sad because Southwest Key has been engaged in the abuse of children.
So what I found mostly is all these entities that deal with children or people in general.
Have sexual assault allegations or abuses that have taken place.
And there was a DOJ report.
They were investigating Southwest Keys.
A key program.
And they basically let it go away because they said we stopped the influx of people, the flow of people coming across.
Well, that allowed then for now the Trump administration to come in and say that they want to hire five hundred or five thousand employees from Southwest Key Program.
Why would you want to do that under ORR, which is the Office of Refugee Resettlement, if there's no more children?
I thought, well, if you're trying to, like, set them up to arrest them, fantastic, but not if you're sitting here trying to bring them in, and I don't understand, are you trying to do more trafficking?
So I feel like there's a lot of smoke and mirrors going on.
Why would you do that?
That's why I'm holding an event on the 24th of May at the Southwest Key location here in San Diego to tell them, you need to shut your doors down.
This has to stop.
We need to quit protecting the predators and protect the victims.
So true.
So well said and so powerful.
You're obviously very knowledgeable about the subject.
Tell everybody again where they could find this event or get more information on it so they could potentially attend.
So it's going to be at 1160 Broadway, which is in El Cajon here in San Diego County.
That is one of three.
It's the biggest one.
That will be on the 24th of May.
It's going to be from 11 to 3 p.m.
You can find it on X, Eye of the Storm SD.
That's where I'm promoting it, as well as my other platforms, but that's probably the biggest one.
I'm hoping to get a good turnout.
There just needs to be light drawn on it.
You know, I think so many people are afraid, but they're afraid of the people is what it is.
That's why they...
We have to use all these tactics, which is so funny to think about because it's like people allow them to make them fearful, but I'm like, you got to understand why they're doing that.
They're doing it because they're afraid of you and they need to manufacture so that you're afraid of them.
Don't give them that.
So we have to stand together arm in arm and fight for the children.
The children deserve this and we can't let them continue to destroy their hearts, minds, and souls.
Yeah, and that's what they're doing.
It's all about the children.
I mean, Hitler knew that, right?
Or that's what the saying goes.
You know, you steal children, you steal the next generation.
You can change and corrupt children.
And then the future is a mirror of that corruption, of their design.
Not God's design, but these evil, you know, elitists who are trying to change the future in a very sinister, satanic way.
100%.
Yeah.
Thank you so much for shining light on this.
Everybody can go to her event.
Check out, you know, her social media has been on her lower thirds the whole time, so definitely give her a follow.

you Why is Kingdom Fuel so much better than a lot of other supplements and nutritional supplements out there?
This is a really, really good shake.
My favorite, by the way, is the vanilla, but I've got the vanilla and the chocolate.
Well, Kingdom Fuel is not just a protein shake.
It has organic pea protein, full spectrum, full amino acid profile, 20 grams of protein.
But it's also got added to it greens and reds.
A lot of people buy those separately.
It's got vitamins and minerals, insoluble and insoluble fiber.
That is a complete meal, and it's under $5 per serving.
And people use three scoops.
But guess what?
Most people don't.
They use one or two.
So you're talking about a full, complete meal.
And the shelf life is two years.
If you don't open it, pretty cool.
Oh yeah, absolutely.
And if we're in any kind of apocalypse, you can pretty much eat this all day.
You can't.

I love this shake.
It's amazing, great, and keeps me healthy.
Welcome back, everyone, to Shots Fired.
Hope everyone's having a great day.
And today actually happens to be my birthday.
Super exciting.
You don't really get too excited.
You know, after I turn 27-ish, I haven't gotten too excited about my birthdays every year because you're just getting older.
No, I'm not telling anybody what my actual age is, but that's okay.
So it's my birthday today, and I thought it would be a good time to talk about how much social drinking is actually okay.
Because I would consider myself somebody who is very interested in...
Health and being in my best health and shape ever.
Also interested in fitness.
But I also like to do some social drinking every once in a while or some celebratory glass of wine.
I'm probably going to be going out to dinner after this and I probably will have a glass of red wine, maybe two over the course of the night.
But I wanted to bring our resident doctor on to talk about sort of the truths and myths of alcohol.
And can alcohol and fitness, health, can those be Combined, are they counterintuitive at all?
Could somebody who's a health nut or passionate about health also social drink or have celebratory drinks every once in a while?
There are a lot of myths around alcohol and drinking and stuff like that that most people probably don't know about.
So I'd rather bring in our resident health doctor, Dr. Mark Sherwood, to join us and dispel these myths and drop some truth bombs here about.
Social drinking and fitness and health.
So, welcome to the show.
As usual, Dr. Sherwood, how's it going today on this beautiful Thursday?
Hey, it's going well, and I'll just drop a truth bomb right now.
Okay.
Just so everybody knows, it's the second anniversary of your 29th birthday.
Yes.
There you go.
29 forever.
So, there's a truth bomb for you, right?
Yeah, thank you.
Thanks so much for revealing to everybody my true age.
We really appreciate it.
You're welcome.
People celebrate all the time.
You're right.
A lot of people do have a celebratory cocktail once in a while, but I think there's a lot to this.
There's a lot of truths and myths within that.
I think the biggest myth that we want to sort of dispel is drinking wine is always healthy.
That's not true.
That would be a myth.
Okay, so let's start with this because I've actually read that drinking red wine Now, I'm sure there's different quality levels in those red wines.
You know, there's like Franzia boxed wine, $8 wine, and then really nice red wine.
But in any event, they say drinking a glass of red wine every day can actually help improve your health, improve your heart, improve your lifespan.
Let's start with that.
What say you to that?
Well, a lot of people draw that conclusion from some of the Western Mediterranean style of patterns, you know, where you find these centenarians that typically have a glass of red wine daily with their meal.
And if you've ever traveled to those parts of Europe, you understand that that's part of very much of a cultural pattern.
Spain, Italy.
Yes, very much so.
But I think there's more to it than just having a glass of wine.
I really do.
So I looked at this.
I think that it's not just the wine.
It's probably the social.
Yes, very much so.
Probably the length of time that they actually have dinner.
They're not always in a hurry.
Right.
I think it's part of relaxing.
And I think probably the wine there has more of a less polluted kind of concept than we have here.
In other words, it would be, relatively speaking, organic because they don't allow the chemicals there sprayed on their crops as they do here.
So those are aspects about that that I think are really important.
That's true.
You know, you think we've talked extensively about obesity in America that you don't quite find in places like, for instance, Italy and Spain.
The quality of food that we have here, sprayed with chemicals, with preservatives, with all of the toxins that we have in our food here, then it's probably applied also to alcohol.
You know, you know, alcohol over there, wine over in France, Europe, et cetera, is probably of a much higher quality and therefore probably not as toxic to you than, you know, at any given convenience store over here in America.
Yeah, that would be correct.
And I think the biggest thing that I talked about in the overall myth that wine is healthy, because you can't say wine is healthy because some wine is not healthy anyway.
Been exactly what you said, these association studies that sort of stated the people that live in this area that do these things live longer.
And I'm not denying that.
I think it's fine.
I think the biggest thing with wine is probably the social occasion with it.
And I think a caveat with this would be very important.
It's okay to do that if wine doesn't have you.
And I think a lot of people can have addictive personalities.
And realize too that wine, it does create alcohol sugar.
It has alcohol sugar in it.
So you get blood sugar elevation.
And unlike like a carbohydrate or a gram of sugar is four calories, right?
Where a gram of sugar alcohol is seven calories.
It's sort of a personal thing that you've got to look at, you know, as far as is it good?
Is it bad under what context and how frequently?
Okay, that's obviously kind of more common sense.
Now, what about this ingredient I hear a lot about called resveratrol?
I even see pills at the drugstore, et cetera, made with resveratrol.
They say that there's a high amount of that in red wines, specifically more like Malbachs, Merlots, and Cabs.
That is not so much present in white wines.
And they say that it's resveratrol that is responsible for the health, you know, the increase in your health or the increase in your heart condition, etc.
So what can you say about resveratrol, this ingredient that, you know, a lot of health experts are actually saying is really good for you and found in wine?
I can tell you this.
I take 750 milligrams a day myself.
Of resveratrol.
Okay.
Resveratrol.
Okay.
And that's a very high dose, whereas most capsules contain about 100 or 200.
So I take...
You know, six, seven times more than that.
Now, here's what resveratrol does.
And I want people to know that it's not found in just wine only.
It's found in grapes, for example, right?
And so that's why the darker of those wines really have the tendency to have more resveratrol content.
But know that the grape seeds or the grape skins that made that wine All the different crops would have different nutrient levels.
So it's hard to say that this wine always have X number of milligrams of resveratrol.
Resveratrol has a tendency, among other things, to upregulate a couple of pathways in the body.
And I'll give you two of them, a little bit complex, but it's kind of cool for the listeners out there that love sciency, kind of geeky stuff.
Number one, it helps upregulate The autophagy system, which is a system that can bring about better repair and salvaging of, you know, waste material from your body, which is kind of good.
And number two, resveratrol has been shown to be an upregulator of what's called sirtuin genes.
And if people want to spell it, you can look it up for yourself.
S-I-R-T-U-I-N-S.
Sirtuins.
And these genes are responsible for repair.
Of damaged tissue in the body.
So as we know that as we age, we get better buildup or perhaps worse buildup of more damaged tissue and we don't repair it enough.
So that's where the connection comes in between sirtuins, the sirtuin genes, resveratrol, that combination.
Gotcha.
Okay.
That clears it up a little bit more.
What about health nuts that say the only alcohol that they feel is acceptable is...
Like agave tequila, like a high quality agave tequila in club soda.
Because it's low in sugar, you know, it doesn't have that big sugar rush or sugar crash, and it's low, you know, relatively low calories, etc.
Do you think that that's, you know, a decently healthy drink for somebody who drinks on occasion?
I do.
And we looked at that, my wife and I, a lot.
We like, full disclosure, we like a glass of wine.
Yeah.
And we probably have a glass of wine ourselves once or twice a week.
And it's typically one glass.
There's an occasional time where we may split a glass.
So we might have a glass and a half.
Is it like a 12-ounce glass?
No, we typically get a 10-ounce pour.
That's what we do, right?
Yeah.
Everything in moderation, right?
Yeah.
And I like a Dow Cab.
We like some of the Merlots, the Malbecs, things like that.
But we try to get organic.
But the reason that people go more towards the tequilas and even the vodkas is because there's a lower amount of calories in that.
That's where it is.
And typically it has a lower ability to raise blood sugar because we know that red wine can raise blood sugar.
But a little bit of tequila or vodka with a little bit of maybe sparkling water or maybe water, it doesn't raise the blood sugar as much, you know, quite honestly.
So that's why people go there.
But I think the biggest thing that we need to understand, too, about alcohol is the neurotoxic effect, meaning it can make you make different decisions than you would make normally.
It can allow you to say things you maybe didn't say.
It loosens you up.
Let's call it what it is.
You get a little buzz.
There is a receptor in your genetic code that is very fast.
We're very slow at breaking that alcohol down.
And that does two things.
Number one, if it's slow at breaking it down, it stays in your system longer, giving it more potential to be neurotoxic to you.
If it breaks it down fast, we tend to build a drink more without it making this neurotoxic.
So it's kind of a give and take there.
But it's important to kind of know that.
My body tends to break it down fast.
Now, that doesn't mean...
That I should drink more.
That means I could drink more and it wouldn't affect me from a neurotoxic standpoint.
But if I drank more, it would raise my blood sugar.
So you can see where I'm going with that.
Yeah, definitely.
Okay, cool.
Yeah, that definitely clears up a lot of things.
I'm under the belief that some people that say if you're passionate about health and fitness, then you have to have a zero tolerance policy with alcohol.
Zero alcohol whatsoever.
But to me, that kind of feels like...
You know, if you're passionate about health, then you have to have zero, you know, zero cake, zero sweets, zero thing.
And I feel like that's a recipe for failure.
For a lot of people, they can feel like they can maybe have a little bit of both, but everything in moderation.
And I think, as we've talked about a lot on our show, that it's the quality, the quantity and the quality that matters maybe more than just cutting things out completely from your diet.
That I feel like has more of a success rate with longevity.
So people don't feel like they're starving or they're literally cutting something out of their life that they enjoy doing every once in a while.
But what say you to my theory?
Well, I think we have a saying here that, you know, it's really funny that cheating is not okay in your taxes or your spouse and certainly not in your health.
But we use the term cheating inappropriately here in America.
We have a good week of, you know, physical exercise or whatever, health, and then we go have a...
Cheat meal.
Well, that's a dumb way to put it.
Because what that saying is, I'm going to go celebrate by punishing myself.
It doesn't make sense.
What we say to people is, no, you're not a boring cheater.
You're a boring chooser.
And you have the opportunity to select what you want.
So we don't put people in food prison, is what I call that.
I want people to be free to choose what they want.
But they need to know that they have to be able to...
Have the awareness of the consequences.
For example, if they want to have a cookie, well, that cookie in no way, shape, or form is going to be good.
But if they want to have that and they have a relatively good, healthy diet, lifestyle, and stuff, it's probably not going to have that big of a negative effect.
But it's not going to be positive.
So as long as they understand that, they need to really embrace that.
The same is true with wine.
The same is true with anything like that.
I think there's a lot said with emotions with every person.
Some people, you know, maybe have addictive personalities, you know, and maybe have former alcoholics or drug addicts, maybe food addicts.
They might not need to go there, you know, and that's okay.
They might need to find their addiction by going out and being a workout addict or something like that.
But I think it's within reason what you said, that word balance.
I think we need to find that out there, and it really resides in all of us, Deanna, you know, where we Kind of have to find that rhythm, you know, that feels right.
But the bottom line is we know that stress or the emotional conflict that that creates can be a negative.
So we like, as you said, we like to take that away and give people the ability to understand.
If their health starts going south and they realize that, then they can make their choices.
But it still gives them choice.
It still gives them freedom.
It still gives them their life.
Yeah, exactly.
If you're going to want to choose a cookie, do you want to choose a cookie from McDonald's or do you want to choose a cookie that maybe has higher quality ingredients, maybe organic ingredients and things like that?
So it's like if you're going to indulge in alcohol, then keep it in moderation and also choose higher quality alcohols.
Yes, organic is best.
Yeah.
Don't choose white wine, choose red wine with resveratrol.
Don't choose, you know, just tons of vodka or something.
Choose, you know, high quality agave tequila or something, right?
Yeah, and one of the cool things that people do in the evening time is they think that alcohol helps them sleep.
I want people to understand the rhythm of this.
So your blood alcohol goes up.
We know we've heard that term with cop shows, right?
Blood alcohol goes up.
So blood alcohol goes up, which is sugar alcohol.
The sugar cues insulin to come up behind it to drive it out of your bloodstream.
Insulin is up here and the sugar's up here.
We have this neurotoxic relaxation effect that causes us to want to go to sleep, right?
Well, while we're sleeping, we've been asleep an hour or two, and all of a sudden now, insulin's up here pushing blood sugar down.
And when insulin pushes blood sugar down, we have a hypoglycemic moment in the middle of our night.
Sometimes we wake up, sometimes we don't.
But it does disturb our sleep.
And when we have that hypoglycemic moment, cortisol goes up, which can perpetuate weight gain or weight retention.
So that's why there's the weight gain or the beer belly kind of concept that people can get.
Yeah.
Okay, cool.
Beer belly.
Beer belly and weight gain, we want to avoid for sure.
We're on a track to good health.
Okay, cool.
Well, thank you so much for the celebratory and social drinking tips.
I think everybody who's a fitness And health expert or somebody who wants to feel like they can have a little bit of both, I think that's important for them to bust those myths and get those truths.
So thank you.
And I will be heeding your warnings tonight at my birthday.
Yeah, we don't want to have too many shots fired if we get my drift.
Not too many shots fired.
Maybe more like wine glasses fired.
There you go.
All right.
Well, thanks so much.
