What are you waiting for?
Welcome to Jesus, Guns, and Babies.
I'm your host, Dr.
Candice Taylor.
I have a wonderful guest tonight.
You're going to love him.
It's going to be great.
I'm so glad you decided to tune in.
We're going to start with Matthew 6, 33.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all of these things shall be added unto you.
All of the things.
All the things that you need.
If you seek his kingdom first and his righteousness, that's right standing with God, then everything will be added.
And so that is my guess.
That was his suggestion for a verse.
I think it's a great verse.
I love that verse.
So I have the, he's the founder of the Business for Liberty.
His name is Eric Cochran.
And so we welcome you to this Jesus Guns and Babies.
Eric.
It's a great honor to be here, Candice.
I've followed you for a long time and love your fearless fight for our country.
We need more warriors, so thank you for all you've done.
Well, I appreciate you coming on here, and you're in South Carolina, so you're right beside me, and so we'll have some good conversation about Southern politics, I guess I should say.
Southern America, but Southern politics.
So let's talk first about kind of who you are, your background, and how you got involved in this movement.
Yes, I was born in Ireland, actually.
I went through 18 years of legal immigration, very proud of that.
I got sworn in in 2016 in a little immigration office in Charleston.
You know, I've always loved the land that I adopted.
You know, going through from homeschooling, I'm a big advocate of homeschooling, falling in love with real history, not a revisionist history.
I ended up going to Charleston Southern University, graduated there, worked for Rick Perry's presidential campaign in 2016 and Ted Cruz from all over the country worked with pastors.
But, you know, COVID happened.
We all know what happened there.
And a fraudulent election.
I'm just going to say the fraudulent election.
And I said, what can we do to fight back, Candace?
How can we fight back?
So I looked at, hey, every time we pull out our wallets, we're voting.
We're voting with our dollars.
And I decided to start Businesses for Liberty to fight back in the economic fight.
So what exactly does it do?
What does your company do?
So we promote any patriot business owner that is pro-life, pro-liberty, pro-history, pro-Second Amendment, and America first.
We're on 10 social media platforms.
We have a great, I call it our rowdy patriot crew, all these business owners that love being together.
I do a lot of interviews.
We have a weekly call for our business owners, and we promote to about 60,000 people now.
That's awesome.
So people can go there, they can go to your platform, and they can tell which companies are not woke.
They're awake companies, not woke companies.
So, yeah, that's wonderful.
That's a wonderful idea.
Because, you know, we look for companies where we spend our money.
And you're right.
That is how you give your vote when you spend your money.
Bud Light felt the pressure.
I think Netflix felt the pressure this week when they came and did the big donations for Kamala Harris, Kamala Harris.
Whatever her name is.
And so they did that for her and they lost billions with a B. So, you know, it's funny how the Democrats are doing all these fake polls right now that show President Trump behind her or that he can't break 46% or whatever the fake numbers are.
But when we look at actual money...
And how, when they support her, when the businesses lose billions of dollars, not millions, billions, then who really has the power and the numbers?
So it shows you true depiction of the people.
And these are not all conservative voters, because...
I didn't pull my Netflix.
I didn't pull it yet.
So there's people that have not pulled it yet.
So just the sheer number that were paying attention that knew to pull it.
That should send a strong message and it should tell people these polling numbers are fake.
They're not real.
Oh, amen.
And I tell people, look, you know, at the end of the day, we have to either make the news or we watch the news.
And I believe we make the news with every decision we make.
You know, every school we support, every church we go to, I say everything for liberty.
Not even just businesses for liberty.
We need to ask every person where they stand on those five pillars.
Oh, absolutely.
And we also were talking earlier, actually, my husband and I, about a lobbyist that she only lobbies for pro-life bills.
And so he's like, how does she make any money?
I said, well, she probably makes less than everybody.
But she's at their lobbying.
But when you hear lobbyists, it's like a taboo word.
But in reality, we need to shift that.
So we need to shift it to we need to lobby for things that we want instead of only because whoever's the loudest, the loudest racket is who gets the legislators attention.
Right.
So we need to have people that are lobbying for all of those pillars in every state, in their legislation, every session, and then in D.C. And those need to be the people that are the loudest, that have the most influence, that put the most pressure, and who take the country back.
And so we have to hit them on every front, whether it's when they're in session, whether it's with their donations at fundraiser events, whether it's emailing and calling and showing up, however it is.
And then, of course, when we go vote.
But we have to hit them every angle and direction to get them to do the will of the people because they are not doing the will of the people.
They're doing the will of big business and big pharma and everybody who comes and puts pressure on them.
That's something we haven't been targeting really.
It's a missed opportunity that we need to really focus on.
We do.
And, you know, I saw so much fear, as you did, you know, in 2020.
It was amazing.
It was like all at the same time, right?
They're attacking our history, the monuments.
They're telling us we have to stay inside.
Don't even look at someone, you'll get COVID. I mean, there was so much fear.
And yet Amazon and Walmart were doing great.
And we lost all these business owners.
But I want to tell you real quick the story of how I even got to where I'm at now.
So when the monuments came under attack, you remember down in Charleston, John C. Calhoun statue came down.
A lot of these, I stood out there on my own, and I just said to some protesters, it's not the way to protest, you know, like vote against it if you don't want it there, but don't spray paint it, don't throw stuff at it.
Well, within like 40 seconds, I have this on Facebook Live, by the way, as evidence, they surrounded me.
And they want to be dead.
And I ended up saying, you know what, Lord?
Bring the Lord into this.
If you want me to do this, I'll do it.
As dangerous as it might be.
And I remember God being my strength and saying, you know what?
For such a time as this, I'm going to stand up for my adopted country's history.
And we stood, Candice.
And because me and five and ten eventually got to 28,000 people, we saved so much history from being vandalized and taken down.
But here's what it showed me.
Was there are bullies out there.
But if we stand up to them, just with a little bit of pushback and say, no, we're not going to do that, we're not going to just cave to your whims, that we can keep our liberty in every aspect, including keeping our history, which is why it's one of our pillars, pro-history.
That's a wonderful example.
And we have to push back.
Yesterday, I was in an event.
We're doing a voter turnout event.
Anyway, Hogan, he's one of President Trump's deputy secretaries, press secretaries.
He worked in his administration.
He was there.
And he said, you know, the people who want to be left alone lose because we don't want to be involved.
We want to be left alone.
And so that's why you have these people who are fighting for the destruction of America and they're fighting for their immorality and they want to watch pornography and they want to pee in cat litter boxes and they want to do all these crazy things and they're loud and obnoxious and in your face.
And we, as Christians and patriots who want to be left alone, we just are like, let me ignore them and they'll go away.
Well, that doesn't work.
And 10 years ago, over 10 years ago, I got my PhD and Dr.
Ben Carson spoke at my commencement and he said, if we do not stop letting political correctness run this country and stop spending money, so it was political correctness and the national debt, they're going to ruin America and we're not going to have America.
And it resonated so deeply in my spirit and that's why I got involved in politics was that one speech because I realized and the Lord impressed upon me We're all victim to that.
We've all been just minding our own business and not saying anything.
And so it doesn't matter if it offends you.
Homosexuality is a sin.
It is a sin.
It's in the Bible.
It is a sin.
It's between you and the Lord.
If you do that and you lead yourself on that road, that's you.
But transgenderism is...
An identity crisis.
There's no way in the world that you know who Jesus Christ is if you're transgender because you don't know your own identity.
And so I'm not saying you're going to hell.
I don't know.
That's between you and Jesus, right?
But I know you don't know who you are.
and it's a mental illness and it's very sad and it's very scary for us to be pushing this on children in formative years where they are being they're figuring out who they are and we're pushing this down and so we have to stand up and say no you're not doing that you're not doing that to any child i don't care if i burped them or not you're not doing it and if we don't do that the bible's clear it says if you make it let a children fall a child fall
it's like tying a millstone around your neck and being cast into the sea so we cannot let the children fall and so there's so many of these facets and like you're talking about homeschool and trying to protect the innocence of children but we also we're always going to have public schools and so we have to push for the woke ideology to be eradicated
We cannot have immorality being shoved on our kids throats and we have to protect the school systems all over the country and so there's certain obligation we have we can homeschool our own kids We can do this with our own family, but that's the problem with America if we wanted to be left alone and now we're losing.
So we have to go on the offense.
We've got to quit being defensive and start being offensive.
I couldn't agree more.
And, you know, here's another twist on this for a second.
You're missing out, folks, on a lot of great friendships.
I've made some of the best friends in the last three, four years doing this that I would have never met if I said, oh, I'm going to stay on my couch and just pray and do nothing.
No, God calls us to pray and act.
Pray and move.
You know, put feet to your prayers.
So, you know, you're totally right.
And I think, you know, every aspect of society, we all have a sphere of influence, right?
So it could be just your family and your neighbors.
Make a difference there.
It could be your church.
Make a difference there.
It could be your county council.
We're all called to this.
You know, and I tell people, it's an exciting time to be alive.
You know, like, we get to stand here in 2024 for not only our liberties, but our faith in Christ.
And God doesn't call us to be quiet about it.
We're called to be a light on the hill.
And I want to do that every single day in every way I can.
And I think, you know, doing, like you're saying, what you're able to do and your sphere of influence and what God's called you to do.
And we all have different giftings and we all have different platforms and we all have different people that we come in contact with and things that we're just naturally good at.
But you have to take and do those things.
So like our parents, they were not paying attention.
didn't do that.
They were, these people were elected and they started taking money from lobbyists and big corporations and they quit representing the will of the people and our parents were not paying attention.
So baby boomers right now are the ones that are like, oh golly, we're in a mess.
And then we have millennials, you know, generation X and then millennials, which I'm in the millennial age.
And then, you know, you go into the zoomers and we're like, what do we do?
Like, what is government?
Like, what is this?
Like, how does this work?
And it's all this fake formality, and you're in the Republican Party, and you have to play by the rules, and you have to run for a seat whenever you're selected to do so, and you're groomed to do so.
I don't believe in grooming children, and I don't believe in grooming politicians.
So I think anybody should run at any time when the Lord calls them to run.
But we have to break that mentality off of the people and tell them politics is not this taboo thing.
It's not something that's so super complicated.
We all have to be involved.
We all have a voice and sit at the table.
We're not going to agree on every single thing.
And that's okay.
Our umbrella is big in the Republican Party.
But what we have to agree on is we do want to be left alone.
But to be left alone, we have to say no more.
You can't just ignore it.
It's not going to go away.
Yeah, no, I mean, look at Donald Trump, right?
Had no elected experience.
Didn't run for county council and work his way up.
He wasn't appointed.
He was the enemy number one of the establishment.
And he just went through those 17 candidates.
I was on the receiving end because I was working for Ted Cruz at the time.
And I was blown away by this guy because he wasn't bought out.
And he said, I'm going to make America great again.
And he did.
And now he's going to do it again.
And you're so right, because I think people...
They're wired to this old way of thinking.
That's just not right.
And God wants to use, what does it say in the Bible?
He wants to confound the wise with what the world thinks is wise with what he wants to use.
I mean, look at the 12 disciples, for goodness sake.
They were top of society.
A tax collector, fisherman.
I mean, these are the lows to the rung.
But he did that on purpose.
And I think we need to remember, pride needs to go...
It needs to go.
And faith needs to be everything.
And we need to say, Lord, in spite of my weaknesses and my faults, use me to be a light and to be a help to others.
I couldn't agree more.
Yeah, and I mean, another huge issue are our churches who don't want to offend anybody.
And they don't want to say anything.
They don't want to offend.
They don't want to hurt somebody's feelings.
Even when Roe was overturned, we literally had churches all across Georgia and other states, I talked to them as well, where their churches were doing the same thing.
Pastors were saying, Well, I don't want to talk about it because people have had abortions and they may get offended.
So I talk to people who have had abortions all the time and they want to talk about it.
They have to forgive themselves.
They have to forgive the person who put pressure on them to have an abortion or the daughter who conducted the abortion.
And they have to reconcile those feelings because it's trauma.
And so what the pastor needs to be worried about is re-traumatizing people because they are going to have to deal with it, but then they have to repent.
So when we repent, healing comes.
Does the pastors want healing to come or do they want to keep people in bondage for the rest of their lives?
And so we don't not talk about issues because they're painful.
We do talk about issues because they're painful, and we get through those issues.
You don't fix a problem by ignoring it.
If you have a dead, huge rat under a rug, you just leave it there and think it's going to go away.
It's going to smell.
It's going to be disgusting.
You have to deal with it to take it out.
You take the trash out.
You're going to get sick.
Right.
And I mean, it's just, this is the mentality of people and pastors who are supposed to be leading us in truth and preaching the word and helping the flock and shepherding us.
They're the very ones who are scared to speak truth.
And it's not every pastor.
I have a whole thing of Liberty pastors that are amazing, that are wonderful, that But they're the rarity.
They're the small minority group.
And honestly, why aren't pastors saying right now, you should be voting for President Trump?
He's the anointed one.
He's the one that God chose.
We didn't choose him.
God chose him.
And then we're voting for him because he is representing...
What is biblical?
Is he perfect?
No.
Has he done things that are sin?
Yes.
We all sin and fall short of the glory of God.
But God protected the man.
He should have been killed and he wasn't because he moved his head because God was with him.
He is anointed to do it.
He is going to do an excellent job for America and save our country.
Or...
We're going to lose our country.
This is not hyperbole.
This is not satire.
This is not a parody.
This is the truth.
We will lose our agenda.
Kamala Harris and her family were Marxist.
They had slaves.
Like, you want to talk about a slave owner and talk about supporting someone that's black?
Kabbalah has nothing African in her.
Her daddy's Jamaican, her mama's Indian, and they own slaves.
They're Marxists.
So if you choose to vote for her, you're either stupid, ignorant, or you want to destroy America.
Yeah, no, I'm a pastor's son, so that really resonates with me.
And I used to tell pastors, stop hiding behind the pulpit.
Stand in front of it.
God has given you a gift, which is this platform.
And you have congregants who are looking to you to rightly divide the word of truth.
That's biblical.
Rightly divide the word of truth.
And not only that, but apply it to today.
What is good and what is evil?
And if you're not willing to go there, you need to not be a pastor.
You need to give it in to someone else who will actually courageously leave for the pulpit.
It makes me so angry, Candice, to see these pastors treat their church like a business.
They're trying to please their board members.
They're trying to keep people in the church.
What about serving God instead of the IRS? What about putting your faith in Him to grow your church rather than programs that, you know, I mean, okay, you're strategizing about this program and that program.
What about the Great Commission?
It's not the great suggestion.
We're called, we're commanded to go to every living creature and preach the gospel.
And I believe that also means judging not to condemnation, but judging to identification.
We're not identifying the problem, then how can people compare and contrast with the Word of God?
So it all goes together.
But yeah, I mean, gosh, you look even 10 years ago.
It is so blatant what is evil versus what is good.
It is on warp speed how fast we've seen the transgender movement.
You mentioned that earlier.
I mean, did we ever imagine in 2012 or 2006 it would be this bad?
No.
So pastors have got to be the ones speaking up the most.
Churches need to be leading before any business or politician.
A lot of times they're not.
Well, that's what happens when you elect, you know, people with sexual perversion issues into the presidency, if he was actually elected, right?
So if Barack Obama was actually elected and he has people coming forward saying that he had homosexual acts there, people say that Michelle Obama is really a man and they have this video footage of, you know, Where it looked like an apparatus might have come and tucked or something, and it's very disturbing.
And it's like, is that true?
Is that real?
And with AI and photos, you know, what's real and what's not?
But we don't see a picture of her pregnant with her girls, and they do look just like their best friends, like they could be their kids.
I mean, I'm not a conspiracy theorist, right?
They always say that I am, but hey, that's what's out there.
That's what you see.
So come and prove it's not.
If people were saying things about me that was a blatant lie, I would address it.
I would say, no, this is what I said.
This is what happened.
Here's a photo.
Here's this.
Go look at the birth certificate.
I had the baby at this hospital.
I am a female.
Like, what, I don't understand.
This is everywhere.
Why would they not address it?
It's very concerning.
And we know, look at the timeline, of when all the transgender movement started in this country.
And I believe we don't fight against flesh and blood.
We fight against principalities and rulers of dark places.
And so we're fighting a spiritual battle.
And that is obvious that that came into our nation and flooded our children during the time of Obama's administration.
And it has just gone down since that point.
But I will say about the churches versus politics, it's almost like the template for how politicians behave.
It's a template for how pastors behave.
So you have politicians who are supposed to be, you know, swear to God to represent the people and the will of the people.
And they are public servants of the people.
But yet they're not.
They're public servants of the highest paid lobbyists and whoever is controlling them with money.
And they have power that's the people's power they're abusing.
And so then you go to the pastors and they are possibly beholden to Jesus Christ first and then to their congregation as a shepherd to lead them toward Jesus.
But they're really held accountable to an elder board who will determine their fate of them leaving or moving churches if they don't do and be in the need to them, not be in the need of Jesus Christ.
And so they should be hearing from God.
They should be hearing from Him and hearing His voice and reading the Word and applying that in their church.
But there's nothing spirit about it.
It's all manufactured and who holds the purse strings and who's going to build the next big building or, like you said, develop the next program that people may or may not like.
Where is a church that's being led by Holy Spirit and being led by the Word of God and the elders are submissive to that authority?
Because everything in God's kingdom has spiritual authority.
But if the elder board controls it, the pastor's not the head and he's not covering that church.
Amen.
No, I mean, that's why Matthew 633, for so many reasons, is my favorite verse, because it makes it really simple.
Seek Him first, and His righteousness, and all other things will be added to us.
We make it so complicated with, oh, we need this committee.
We need this group.
We need this.
It's like, no, you just need God.
You know, you just need the Lord, and stop making it about man.
Stop making it about man-created things.
And that's where we've always gone wrong.
You know, that's how the founding fathers knew it was right, because they weren't fearing the King of England.
And I love that being Irish.
I have fun with the Fourth of July.
The Irish and British had a lot of history.
But they feared the King of Kings.
And they said, if we get hung for treason doing this Declaration of Independence, we're going to do it.
And don't tell me some deist made that happen, okay?
That drives me nuts, by the way, these people who try to take away that we are a Judeo-Christian nation, that God actually inspired these men to do what they did.
Does that drive you nuts as much as it does me?
Oh my gosh, I did a whole teaching on the separation of church and state and taught them the Constitution.
Because, you know, the problem is that we keep calling it democracy, democracy.
This is not a democracy.
This is a constitutional republic.
And yes, we have representatives, and we could say it's a representative democracy in kind, but it's still led by a Constitution.
It's a constitutional republic.
That's what we have.
And so the average for a Constitution to survive is about 17 years.
And we're at 250.
And so how does that happen?
It's happened because of Jesus Christ being the foundation.
And when we take morality out of the equation, then our whole thing crumbles.
The Constitution is founded on common law.
Common law comes out of the Bible.
So our whole premise, our whole law and order, our whole structure, if you just say, okay, well, it's not based on Jesus Christ.
Okay, well, it's based on common law.
And common law comes out of the Holy Word of God.
It was His idea.
It was created by Him.
And so anything we have as a template for how we function comes from common law.
And you go to the Constitution, it talks about common law.
You go to common law, it's in the Bible, that's where it came from.
And you can't separate the two.
The articles talk about it.
It's right there ingrained into the whole entire Constitution because it's founded on Jesus Christ.
And so when we're talking about separation of church and state, which is not in the Constitution anyway, when you talk about separation, the idea behind the whole document was that The church runs the state.
The church and we the people.
We are the church.
You and I, Eric, are the church.
And so we run the state.
But the state, the government, has no control over the church.
And then everybody's like, oh, well, then you've got to let satanists come in and you've got to let witches come in and you've got to let Muslims and Hindus.
No.
No, we don't.
No, we don't.
Because America is founded on God Almighty, Creator God, Yahweh, Elohim.
We can go on and on.
That is what we're founded on.
And I don't have to honor your religion.
I don't have to give you freedom of religion.
Freedom of religion is there for us to worship Jesus.
It's not for you to come force anything else upon me.
And so we have that all wrong.
And we've had tolerance.
We've been politically correct.
And at what point are we going to say, nope, we're not going to be.
You can do whatever you want to in the comfort of your home.
You can do whatever you want to, but don't come into my government.
And bring any of that trash in there.
And we shouldn't be electing anyone in government, local, state, or federal, that is not a Christian.
That is how we take back this nation.
We elect spirit-filled Christians, and God will lead our nation once again.
My husband said that.
I love that.
Hey, you write that one down.
No, you're right.
And, you know, I look at Georgia, where you are, and I'm in South Carolina, and they always say, what is it, this is the Bible Belt?
Well, I feel like that belt needs to be tightened a lot more because a lot of people, as you know, it's just like, oh, my daddy's a Christian.
My mom's a Christian.
Christian culture, that means nothing.
If you are not, as you said, standing on it in everything, it's supposed to impact every part of our lives, right?
Our faith is not for Sunday school and worship, and then you walk out and you're a different person, and that's the problem.
Let me just vent for a second.
I didn't plan to say this, but I'm just going to say it.
A lot of churches, you know what the problem is?
They go to service, they have a great time, they have a great fellowship, they walk out and they're gone.
Where does the early church in Acts feel of, we're going to go out and actually talk about what we just heard in the sermon and actually grow from it and take it into Monday and Tuesday and all the way to the next Sunday?
It's really wrong how we have taken connection.
Out of a lot of this stuff.
And we've made it a performance.
My dad, we probably got rid of so many worship leaders, probably four or five, because they were performers.
They weren't worshiping, they were performing.
It's a big difference.
In the same way, I think if we just go in to check the box, I went to Sunday, I went to Wednesday night, whatever services you go to, and you're not really engaging other members of the congregation, your brothers and sisters in Christ, we're missing out big time on what it means to be a believer.
Well, and I'll even take it that a step farther that a lot of the pastors that are preaching are theatrical and they're not teaching the Word.
They'll start doing a sermon and never read a scripture.
Or at the end, they might have...
Paraphrase the scripture that all that you just said that's your opinion which opinions are like buttholes everybody has one so you're you're given all this trash right and I'm supposed to just say yeah that's right I'm gonna change your mind I'm gonna teach you this and you give nothing in the Word of God and then when you paraphrase at the end it's not even what the Word says I can't stand that.
Do not get in front of a congregation and say you're a pastor and that you're there and called by God to lead and preach and then not use his word.
So you're right, Eric.
We should be taking what we're learning, if you're at a church that teaches you, and you should be applying it.
And it is about connection.
We were created for relationship.
So we should be relational.
We should be impacting people who don't have a church home to influence them.
Oh, you know what?
Eric's different.
There's something different about him.
I want to be, I want to learn.
He gets to this church and I want to go there because you know what?
Like he is different than everybody else.
He handles situations differently.
You know, he doesn't respond cussing somebody out.
He's not jealous.
He's not, you know, holding a grudge, trying to have revenge.
I want to be more like him.
He has peace.
And God's blessing him.
He's very prosperous.
And I want to be like him.
We should be that example in the earth.
We should be the salt in the earth.
And we should be different as Christians today than we were a month ago.
And we shouldn't even look even resemblance a year ago.
If we're growing in the Word and we're growing in the Lord, the more time we spend with Him, the more we're righteous like Him and right standing with God, right?
We're never not going to be sinning ever, but we should not be consciously sinning.
People that are in pulpits looking at pornography, do you know the percentage of pastors that are addicted to pornography?
I don't watch pornography.
Period.
I never had the desire to do that.
And I'm not a pastor.
So if you're in a church role as a pastor and you have an addiction to pornography, resign right now.
Don't say, I'm going to repent.
No.
Resign.
Because you have a twisted, perverted spirit on you that you need to deal with and get healed from before you can ever shepherd anybody else.
And that's the spiritual authority you're putting over your congregation.
That should terrify you.
It should terrify you that you are putting that spiritual stronghold over your congregation.
Amen.
No, I mean, in the end of the day, if we're not praying over our pastors and the elders and all these people and saying, Lord, like, if they don't need to be in that position, take them out of there.
You know what I mean?
Because a lot of people, they're in there because their daddy was a pastor.
Oh, that name's been there a long time.
It's not about that, folks.
It's about the right people who are anointed for that time to lead that congregation.
And you know what drives me nuts, too?
I feel like we're in a venting session, but this is good, is when people say, this is my church.
It's not your church.
The church was given to you by God.
These are not your people.
You don't own them.
They're not your employees.
They're not your interns.
They are given to you by God.
You better be a good steward of what God gave you with these people.
One thing I got to tune on my dad's horn for a second is my dad would literally be the first in the church, the last to leave every single time.
He wasn't rushing off backstage to get in the green room.
No, he wanted to pray with every single person That wanted prayer.
And I love the fact that he led by example.
And a lot of these pastors, they want the cushy green office.
They want to get away from people.
I'm like, you want to get away from people?
You're called to shepherd them.
You're called to love on them.
What are you doing?
You shouldn't be in this line of work.
And again, it's not a line of work.
It's a calling.
And yet, they're doing it.
And no, there's a lot that needs to change in the church, Candice.
And actually...
I have a group on Facebook, WeThePatriots-USA, and we've got people coming on.
They're asking for prayer all the time.
People are getting together for Bible study.
People are getting together to pray together.
And I love it because they're just regular, ordinary Americans that are coming together all over the country.
Yeah, and I'm not trying to pick on the churches because I love Jesus.
That's my number one.
I love Him.
I love the church.
We should not fail to assemble ourselves together.
My problem is there's so many similarities and parallels between the church and politicians.
And politics in general and government.
And so when the church wants to stay out of it, you know, that's the problem.
Our government is foundationally, wherever the church is, the condition of the church is going to be the condition of our government.
So we're, it's linked hand in hand.
You can go back for generations and generations and watch wherever the church was.
When the civil rights movement came and we started having, you know, a civil rights change and really breaking that off of our country and healing that, it started in the churches.
Right?
Martin Luther King was a pastor.
It started there.
And it wasn't just him.
It was churches all over the nation.
And that's what moved politically and government into breaking that demonic spirit of racism off of the nation.
And so when we look at the health of the church and they're not healthy, they're self-serving and not spirit filled at all.
And they're not spirit led.
And they're, you know, being controlled by a group of men who probably are addicted to porn.
We honestly cheating and only care about money and they're not spirit filled.
That's why we see the same exact thing in politics.
And there's this parallel there.
And as we're having this interview, God is just showing me one thing, example, after another.
and he sees it as well.
And I want to go on and say, we talked about the pastors, and I kind of gave a harsh word there to them.
They better resign if they're doing that.
Same thing with the politicians.
You're swearing to God an oath to uphold the people.
And if you're not upholding the people, you're in a bad way.
Like, you may burn in hell.
Honestly, I don't know.
I'm not God.
Be glad I'm not.
But you might burn in hell forever because you swore to God to do something and you're not doing it.
You're being self-serving.
And you're serving people who are billionaires over the common man who elected you.
Right?
And so that's a scary thing to do.
Every single day, going in and knowing you're casting a vote for murdering babies, or you're casting a vote to take people's money and manipulate it and give it to a big organization because they're going to give you a kickback.
Or choosing to pave a road or break into this area and take up innocent people's land and make their land less because you can because you're government.
And you're screwing people out of their inheritance.
So when you start messing with God's children like that and you swore to God to uphold their will, You're doing them wrong.
You're stealing from them, and you're breaking a vow that you swore to God.
I mean, it's really a scary place to be in, and that just dropped in my spirit, right?
I said that about pastors need to resign.
These politicians need to resign.
They're going to be held to an account higher than a normal person because they swore to God to do something.
Oh my goodness.
I mean, you know, a lot of people say, oh, I'm not a minister.
I can't minister.
I'm like, get out of here.
God calls us all to be ministers of the gospel, right?
So if you're a politician, gosh, you might as well be in Hollywood.
That's dark, especially today in government.
So it is a calling.
Let's just call it out for what it is.
It's a calling.
If you're going to be in there, you need to adhere to what God called you in there to do.
It's a mission field in those state houses, in the Congress, in every branch of government.
I think in the same way, I've had a lawmaker tell me recently, you know, Eric, don't feel bad that you're not an elected official.
You can do a lot more outside of there.
And I want to tell anyone who's watching this, if you're like, oh, you know, I don't have a big platform, I'm not involved in some big thing, Let me just tell you right now, God is going to use you right where you're at to make a difference.
If you're willing, like Isaiah said, here am I, send me.
If you're willing to be sent by Him, you could change your family, your county, your local school board, anything that you're involved in.
And that's why I love Matthew 6.33.
Bring that in to whatever you're doing, and God could change it completely and radically.
And here's the other thing that drives me nuts as well, is when people focus on numbers, Not a good place to be either, Candace.
God calls us to be a light to whoever He puts us in front of.
And if we're focused on the big numbers and all this big stuff, only what we do for Christ will last.
So if we did it with the wrong intention, only God knows the heart of man, right?
So if our heart is wrong, and we're doing all this, what does it say in the Bible when it says, depart from me, I never knew you.
We didn't do all these things in your name, did we cast out demons?
That is a terrifying verse in the Bible.
And a lot of people, when they make it all about acts and our actions, they're, what did Paul say, filthy rags compared to what Christ has done for us.
So, yeah, we need to get our perspective right, that it's about what we do for him, and our motivation needs to be right, not just what we're doing.
So our heart, and from the midst of the heart, the mouth speaks, and so you can tell where someone is by what they're saying.
And then whenever we have obedience to Him and what He's called you to do, but to be obedient to Him, He says obedience is better than sacrifice.
So we think, oh, well, I've given money, I've given time, but are you being obedient to your calling?
Like you're talking about, are you on the path for your life that He has you on?
How do you know You're calling, and how do you know to be obedient if you don't hear His voice?
And so if you are not led by Him, if you're not studying His Word, and if you're not hearing from Him through His children who, I mean, do love Him, because God will confirm it.
If He gives you an idea or something comes up in your spirit, He will confirm it.
All you have to do is ask Him, like, Lord, please, am I hearing this from you or is this my flesh?
Will you please confirm it?
He will confirm it every time.
He'll confirm it several times.
Just let you know, no, it was me.
Or he will show you that it was not him immediately.
And then you're like, it was something I wanted to do.
It wasn't really from him.
And so you just have to ask, you know, and people, I just feel like they do not take the time to be still and to read the word and to hear from him.
They want it now.
We're an instant gratification society.
Let's go get fast food.
Let's get on the internet.
Let's see how many notifications we have, how many clicks we have.
Let's look at all of them.
Like that, those people care nothing about you.
Half of them are bots.
Let's care more about the people we have a true relationship with and spend time with those people.
Invest there.
Because wherever you invest, that's where your heart is.
And so that's how you know the politicians are corrupt because they're investing in We're billionaires and businesses and big corporations because they want the money and they're not investing in the future of our country.
And that's why we're on the precipice of losing our whole nation because of inflation and because of where we are.
We're going to lose everything.
The dollar won't be the world currency anymore.
We'll be a third world nation in three months.
People do not understand where we are because, oh, well, the stock market looks good.
Okay, it will bottom like that.
We will lose everything.
If we do not change right now, we have one opportunity.
November 5th, it's my birthday.
We have one opportunity to change this nation.
And no, Donald Trump is not Jesus.
No, Donald Trump is not the Savior.
But he has the anointing of Jesus.
He has the anointing of the Savior.
And he is going to lead the people.
He's already proven that.
He's proven he will not be bought.
So you don't have to agree with him on everything.
You don't have to agree with him on 50% of what he says.
But you have to choose who is going to represent freedom.
That's where we are.
It's freedom or bondage.
Yeah, I mean, when it comes to making any decision in your life, I always go by the threes.
So, you've got to pray, you've got to get in the Word, and ask for God for confirmation from others.
When I started Businesses for Liberty, I don't have a business background.
I didn't have a business degree.
I just know what I believe in, and I know what I don't believe in.
And I'd already promoted candidates working on presidential candidates campaigns.
But I said, you know what?
I know what I believe with these five pillars.
And I can tell people about that.
And if they agree with that, we can work together.
If they don't, then I'm not interested in even going down that road with them.
So you're spot on when it comes to if God calls you to do something, do it.
Don't hesitate.
Don't kind of go, oh, what are people going to judge me?
They're going to say, I'm not charismatic enough.
I don't have the resources.
Go before you're ready in the sense that if God gives you the green light, He'll bring what you need.
The resources, the people, the vision, all that stuff.
There's so many things, Candice, that we don't have today because people didn't take the leap of faith.
You know, they weren't willing to stand out.
I can't tell you how many amazing homeschool parents, for example, have started groups that stood up to those school boards.
And it was just regular people.
They didn't have nine degrees and a million dollars in the bank account.
They were sometimes just barely making a paycheck to paycheck, but they stood up.
You know, you were talking earlier about pastors.
One other thing I want to say about that.
The Black Robe Regiment.
Folks, if you've never heard that, look up the Black Robe Regiment.
There would have been no Continental Army hadn't been for those pastors who spoke into the lives of George Washington, Patrick, and all these men.
So those, they had the garment on of being a minister underneath that Continental Army uniform.
And that's what we need again.
We need preachers that act like the Black Robe Regiment, not acting like redcoats.
You know, back in the day, they used to say, you know, the British are coming.
Today, it's the globalists are coming.
And they've been coming for a while.
And if pastors don't speak out and become like they were the Black Robe Regiment, what did Benjamin Franklin say?
It's a republic if you can keep it.
And it's going to take all of us to keep it.
It's going to take every one of us to keep it.
And we don't want to be in civil war.
I don't want to be in civil war.
I don't want anybody to die.
Republican, Democrat, Independent, I don't care.
I don't want to see our country at war.
If we went into war, we would be sitting up for the rest of the world to come and attack us and overtake us.
Because do you not think they're jealous of America?
Do you not think they would love to have us and our resources here in this rich, dense country?
Country full of milk and honey.
Would they not want to have us and own us and control us?
Absolutely.
So we are not in any place to be going into a civil war with other countries that could come in and take us over.
And so I'm...
I want to see America saved.
I want to see America saved spiritually and constitutionally.
God loves America.
We chose Him.
We chose Him.
We chose to be founded on Him and His Word.
And He loves us.
We're his children.
And so we have a darkness that has crept into our society and has brainwashed people with mainstream media and people have spent all their time being brainwashed that truly is a demonic stronghold on them and we need to be spending effort And praying against it and breaking it off of people because there are good people who are totally misled and they're brainwashed and they do not even see it.
And when they finally have it broken off of them, they're just like, they can't unsee it then.
It's like, oh my gosh, I cannot believe that I was believing this way.
And it's totally contradictory of the word of God.
And I love Jesus.
Why did I believe this way?
And I love America and I want to be patriotic.
We're seeing people turn to President Trump and to the Republican Party in droves that have that same story and that same, you know, freedom that they got in their spirit.
And so we just have to continue that.
But it's gonna start in the churches.
Revival's coming to America.
Revival's coming.
The end time can't come without revival.
It talks about our end time revival.
So that has to happen.
So it's coming.
And so are the churches going to, is it going to happen in their walls or is it going to happen on the streets because the churches are not going to allow it there because it might mess up their systemic business they're running?
Yeah, and I think, you know, in the end of the day, if we get it, we don't know each other's names.
Like, if I don't know you, you don't know me in a personal level.
We're all just watching this movie going on instead of actually being involved.
And I think that's the problem, too, is when you're living your life on the phone and on the screen, and we're using this for good for right now, but a lot of people are wasting their lives watching Netflix.
Talk about Netflix.
They're living vicariously through what they're watching, and they're not living life.
Think about it, Candice.
Like, remember a sandlot when people were playing baseball out in the yard and all the neighbors?
You don't see that much anymore.
Like, people are completely isolated.
So what happens in isolation?
People start to go inward or downwards, right?
When you're outside, and I tell people this, look up.
Literally look vertically upward.
You know why?
Reminds you you were created by God.
You're a very small little world down here, right?
And if you can remember that that same God who made those clouds you're looking at and the sun and all the beauty all around you, It puts you in a totally different place.
I was running earlier today, and I was just looking up saying, thank you, God, for a great day.
But if you're looking down, I'm telling you, there's got to be some study about this.
But if you're looking down or just looking horizontal all the time, your focus is here.
Your focus is there.
But when you look up and you remember, like, the Creator loves you and gave His only begotten Son for you, that changes everything.
So connection with each other and connection with Him takes away all this noise.
That seems to consume even the hearts and minds of patriots.
And this kind of like, oh, everything's falling.
Okay, do you believe God's in control or not?
Do you believe that he knows he's the Alpha and the Omega beginning and the end or not?
Do you believe he knew this was going to happen?
If you did, then trust in him.
That doesn't mean you sit back and do nothing.
It means you act with boldness because of that.
So when I was standing at the monument and they were calling me every name of the sun and I was being told, Eric, we could get stabbed, shot, poisoned.
I'm like, okay, what other way could I die?
You know, all these things.
I knew God knows when I came in and when I'm going to go out.
And I think President Trump knows that every time he goes up there and, you know, as he turned his head to look at, which I love, it was the immigration chart.
The immigration chart.
And by the way, I just want to say this real quick.
Immigration.
Illegal immigrants hurt who the most?
Legal immigrants.
That's why it took so long.
That's why the system is so clogged for people who love this country and want to add to this country, don't want to take away from it.
So remember that when people say, be compassionate towards immigrants, yeah, please, you know, to people who want to do it right and want to become Americans, but don't be hurting them for people who don't even respect your country enough to do it the right way.
So connection with them and connection with others.
Yeah, so legal, you know, we have laws to be followed.
And you have a legal way of doing things.
Why would anybody do it legally if you can do it illegally cheaper and faster and you're rewarded and honored and given money?
And it's the most senseless thing going on in our nation.
And we're allowing it.
We're allowing it.
We complain about it, but we haven't stopped it.
Honestly, all these men across this nation should have driven their trucks down there to the southern border and gotten side-by-side and parked and said, you're not coming in.
You're not.
So we've allowed it.
At what point do we say, nope, you're not doing it anymore?
Because we can.
We can do that.
We can say you're not doing it anymore.
And so people have jobs and we have our lives and we have the things that we like.
And so we want to just keep pretending like if we just keep on going to work, all that other stuff will go away.
But we're having illegals flood our counties and our schools and our churches and our, you know, want handouts, want this, want that.
Living on the street, homeless, and it's sad.
You know, I hate it for them because they have no home, but they chose to break the law and come here illegally.
And so they need to everyone be deported and they need to come back the right way.
Yeah.
And again, the fulfillment of doing it the right way.
I mean, you know, Candace, when I was in there in that office in Charleston, I got sworn and I got to put my hand up and I became an American.
I have it on video.
I had tears coming down my cheeks.
I had made it.
I'm an American.
You know, like I did it the right way.
I don't care how long it took.
In fact, it was in the middle of the campaign in 2016, the primary.
I had to drive 16 hours back to Charleston, get sworn in, drive right back to Missouri in the middle of the campaign.
But it's like two hours of sleep.
I was like, I don't care what condition I'm in.
I'm becoming an American today.
And I think when people don't do it right, just like they don't work a good job or they don't have a good work ethic, they miss out on the fulfillment of what it means to be a citizen who does what you're supposed to do, which is giving back, doing what's right, paying your taxes, all those things.
And I think people need to start doing good again and actually need to start doing things that better the country that adopted them.
And that's what it is.
We were adopted.
I know I'm very aware of that.
And I'm so sad what's happened in Ireland today.
It's like a bunch of wimps over there who we fought 800 years, Candace, to get our freedom from the British.
And we just handed it over to the European Union.
It's like our constitution means nothing.
We did all that for nothing.
On my mother's side, we're related to Michael Collins, who fought for Irish independence in 1922.
Liam Neeson played him in a movie, look at Michael Collins.
And it's, you know, it's sad.
You know what's happened, of course, is Italians are just like the Germans, and the British are just like the Austrians.
And it's not true, but they're preaching this over and over and over again, saying, oh, you're just European.
Like, you don't have any identity as a sovereign state.
And that's what they're trying to do here.
They're trying to make it to where you're not an American anymore.
You're just kind of a trans everything.
You just kind of believe in whatever.
Just go along and get along.
And that's where Europe went down, and that's where we can't let it happen here.
Yep, that's right.
Well, I do want to go to Ireland.
It's like on my bucket list.
I had a friend that went there and said it was the most beautiful country they've ever seen.
It's gorgeous.
Oh yeah, well I was born in Cork.
It's kind of like the Charleston of Ireland.
Way down there in the south.
And if you still go out to the rural areas, kind of like how it is in America, you will still find people that, believe it or not, are pro-life, you know, believe in traditional values.
But a lot of the cities, I mean, kind of like here, but just times ten, have gone beyond leftist.
I mean, to a place to where it's just godless in every possible way.
Amen.
That changes everything.
Yeah.
It changes it all.
So tell everybody how they can join Business for Liberty because they're going to have business owners on here.
They're going to be like, okay, but how do I join and how do they connect with you?
Yeah.
If you go to businessesforliberty.com, actually, there's two reasons you should go there.
Number one, as a consumer, you can look at our directory.
All those business owners, I've personally vetted to make sure they believe in those five pillars I mentioned earlier.
Secondly, if you go to the How to Join link, you can pay on there.
And the really cool thing about that is our processor is a Patriot.
It's a family-run business, third generation.
So you're supporting a Patriot processing business and you're being part of Businesses for Liberty.
And so what benefit would they have?
Just go over that again so they know.
Yeah.
So when a business comes on board, obviously we put them on our website.
We promote them on 10 social media platforms.
If you look up Businesses for Liberty anywhere, I'm talking Telegram, Getter, TrueSocial, any of those platforms, you'll find us.
I do interviews.
We do three promotions a day of three different businesses.
And I can talk to you, obviously, about what would work for your business.
Every business is different.
But the main thing, Candice, is I want to get people's names out there and their business.
I want to promote them as a human being, as a patriot, and as a business owner.
Okay, so thank you so much, Eric, for coming on.
Eric Cochran, we love you here.
You can come back anytime, and we bless you and your effort for trying to help us put our money where it needs to go and not supporting these woke companies.
And I just want to close by saying, Candice, thank you for all you're doing, the fight that you, you know, a lot of people, when they run for office and things like that, they just quit.
They're just kind of done.
You have taken that fire, and it's just gotten hotter and hotter and hotter for our liberty.
So thank you for all you're doing.
God's growing me.
You know, He grows us.
Either you can quit or you can keep going.
I'm not a quitter.
Amen.
So I'll see you all next week on the Sweet Peters Network, 8 p.m.
Eastern Standard Time.
I love you.
God bless you.
you.
God bless America.

What are you waiting for?
There's a whole bunch of stories that have to be dug into, rethought, reconsidered, and in some cases completely discarded.
As modern Americans, we've been spoon-fed this dumbed-down, cartoonish, simplified version of history.
It's all fake.
It's all bullshit.
Everything that we have been taught is part of a self-serving narrative written by the people who will say and do anything to keep us on a leash.
Now, this version of history, some big-name corrupt families like the Rockefellers and the Rothschilds and their many associates are credited over and over and over again with propelling human development.
Throughout the late 18 and early 1900s, almost every major American city was burnt to the ground.
