Is this finally the end of the Russia investigation?
An indictment released by the Justice Department on Friday appears to absolve the Trump campaign of any knowledge of Russians meddling in the election or of any collusion.
The indictment released by special counsel Robert Mueller's office Nets 13 Russian people and 3 Russian entities for meddling in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
Some of their subversive activities include infiltrating social media groups, creating thematic group pages on social media sites, posing as political activists at events, wire and bank fraud, and also using stolen or fake U.S. identities to maintain social media accounts and purchase ads.
The indictment also notes Russians communicated with unwitting members of the Trump campaign, meaning Trump, his associates, and staffers would not have had knowledge of such a conspiracy.
There is no allegation in this indictment that any American was a knowing participant in this illegal activity.
There is no allegation in the indictment that the charge conduct altered the outcome of the 2016 election.
It remains to be seen whether or not this indictment spells the end of the Russia investigation, litigation, but it certainly hasn't spelled the end of Russian bots being blamed on everything from Clinton's election loss to pro-Second Amendment propaganda.
A Facebook exec is speaking out about the company's findings on Russian influence, Facebook's vice president of ad products Rob Goldman He says most of Russia's ad spending happened after the election.
He tweeted, We shared that fact, but very few outlets have covered it because it doesn't align with the main media narrative of Trump and the election.
Most of the coverage of the Russian meddling involves their attempt to affect the outcome of the 2016 U.S. election.
But I've seen all of the Russian ads, and I can say very definitively that swaying the election was not the main goal.
As we're learning via special counsel Mueller's investigation, the main agenda of Russian interference was actually sowing discord.
The old divide and conquer to pit American against American, destabilize and weaken our country.
So did you hear that?
Resistance?
Basically anyone who's entrenched in identity politics is doing Putin's work.
And I would have made millions if it hadn't been for you meddling kids.
The Clinton camp spent 53 times more money per month than Russians seeking to influence the election.
Also, not all of the money spent by the Russian operation was used to campaign for President Donald Trump.
According to the indictment, Russian trolls also supported Jill Stein and Bernie Sanders, and they even planted seeds for leftist groups like Blacktivists and Woke Blacks.
And after the election, Russians continued to sow division in the U.S. by riling up resist groups involved in anti-Trump protests, including the Trump is not my president rally, which Michael Moore reports attending.
Russian bots also duped this person into tattooing that Putin-backed message onto their body.
Forever.
Hashtag Trump is your president and you got owned.
And now, apparently, CNN believes Russian bots have written the Second Amendment.
On Friday, CNN reported that Russian connected bots are spreading pro-gun messages on Twitter following Wednesday's school shooting in Parkland, Florida, in an effort to sow discord.
According to who?
The Alliance for Securing Democracy.
That's who.
This is an advocacy group with a stated mission of countering what it describes as an unprecedented attack on United States democracy by Russia.
So this is another monitoring group that popped up in the wake of the 2016 election to try to control the flow of information and blame everything that happens on Russian bots.
Because here's the kicker.
Facts First CNN admits in the story that the group does not disclose which accounts it tracks and CNN has not independently verified its findings.
Fake News CNN will go ahead and run these unverified findings and present it to you as the truth.
Russian bots.
Is there anything they can't do?
