Time Text
Qatar, a tiny and young country that gained its independence in 1971, yet boasts the highest per capita income in the world amongst its 2.6 million residents due to Qatar having the third largest natural gas and oil reserves in the world and hosts the largest American military base in the Middle East.
Qatar has also been dubbed Club Med for terrorists and the most two-faced country in the world, stemming from Qatar's official support for Hamas, Hezbollah, the Taliban, the Muslim Brotherhood, its propaganda media arm Al Jazeera, and their openness to allow the financing of terror organizations to operate with impunity.
Qatar has long had the welcome mat out for the Muslim Brotherhood.
And I can't think of other countries in the region where that welcome mat continues to be in place in the same way.
And while they may from time to time, and usually under great pressure from their neighbors, expel some leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood.
I think that there is a long history of Qatar welcoming the Muslim Brotherhood and for all practical purposes allowing them a safe haven.
Qatar has also become a proxy dispute between Iran and Saudi Arabia as Qatar strengthens its independence from Saudi Arabia.
On its own, it's terrifying Israel and the United States of America.
Why?
Because...
This kind of borders connecting between Syria and Iraq, which will connect to Iran, and then it will be easier for the resistance camp, with the support of Iran, to defeat these terror gangs, our missionaries came to Syria and in Iraq, and in the future as well, in Yemen and Libya.
One of John Podesta's leaked emails singled out Saudi Arabia and Qatar for providing clandestine financial and logistic aid to the Islamic State and other radical Sunni groups.
The emir of Qatar, al-Thani, refuted these claims, subsequently creating a list of terrorist suspects that to this day has never contained any names.
Meanwhile, President Trump's recent trip sent a shockwave through the Middle East as Trump demanded more support from the backstabbing U.S. allies Saudi Arabia and the UAE while creating an arms deal with Saudi Arabia that spiked the interest of other Gulf states, thus spiraling the region into a diplomatic crisis.
I have just returned from a historic trip to Europe and the Middle East.
I addressed a summit of more than 50 Arab and Muslim leaders.
A unique meeting in the history of nations where key players in the region agreed to stop supporting terrorism, whether it be financial, military, or even moral support.
The nation of Qatar, unfortunately, has historically been a funder of terrorism at a very high level.
In April 2017, Qatar was involved in a deal with both Sunni and Shiite militants in Iraq and Syria, what outraged Saudi Arabia and the UAE as the amount of money Qatar had to pay to secure the deal.
According to Financial Times, Qatar paid $700 million to Iranian-backed Shia militias in Iraq, $120 to $140 million to Tahrir al-Sham, and $80 million to Arar al-Sham.
Follow the money indeed.
The finger-pointing in the Gulf states only serves to shine a larger spotlight on the true sources of the Islamic State's power and the global Islamic chess game currently being waged on the free world.
