| Last week in New York City, I saw for the first time the Netflix documentary, Get Me Roger Stone. | |
| It is a triumph. | |
| It is neither a love letter nor a hit piece, but rather a fairly accurate depiction of my political career, as well as the rise of the conservative movement, born of the candidacy of Barry Goldwater, bearing fruit in the presidency... | |
| of Ronald Reagan and ultimately resulting in the presidency of Donald Trump. | |
| Now, I tried to figure out why Netflix would spend millions of dollars making and promoting a video that is fair to me. | |
| And then it occurred to me, they expect President Donald Trump to fail. | |
| They expect him to be unpopular at the end of his presidency. | |
| And they hope to blame me for his election. | |
| Well, they're wrong on two counts. | |
| One, Donald Trump will be a successful president. | |
| Just because he has an idiosyncratic style of leadership that does not meet the mold of the airbrushed professional politicians who have preceded him does not mean that he does not have the leadership qualities to make America great again. | |
| And the upturn in the American economy shows that the Trump program is already working. | |
| And then secondarily, I did not elect Donald Trump. | |
| There is no Karl Rove figure in Trump world. | |
| Donald Trump is, by and large, his own strategist, his own press secretary, his own speechwriter. | |
| And because he does not operate off of polling or focus groups or... | |
| Because he speaks from the heart and from the gut and not from a speech written by some 25-year-old speechwriter, the American people realize that he is the genuine article. | |
| He is the master of his own fate. | |
| He is the architect of his presidency. | |
| and I am just honored to have been a small part of it. - After four years of research, the next big game changer has arrived. | |
