Joe Biggs here with Mikhail Thalen of Infowars.com.
Today, an affiliate, supposedly a cyber affiliate of ISIS, hacked CENTCOM, and they put up a lot of different things on the page saying that, American soldiers, we are coming, watch your back.
Their YouTube channel was hacked, and also the Twitter, it says, I love you ISIS, and all that.
Well, I just thought it was kind of interesting, because I went here on the anon.
Message Twitter page, and they're talking about it.
What are some of the stuff that was posted were people's information, things of that nature.
But here is, where is it at?
Breaking news.
It says, there's breaking news, Cyber Caliphate infiltrates and hacks local news network in Maryland, CENTCOM hack.
Also, it says up here, it says, we've traced the hacker who infiltrated CENTCOM to somewhere in the state of Maryland.
What is in the state of Maryland?
Well, there's a couple things in Maryland.
There's the NSA. But what's most interesting about what they said is that the IP addresses were not behind a proxy.
And you can actually go look up different IP addresses and see if it's coming from a VPN or virtual private network, the Tor network, and it looks like it's coming straight from a computer.
So it seems very strange that someone in ISIS or anyone in the government, any professional hacker would go and to hack a Twitter account or a Facebook, especially a high level one like this, and use a plane connection without any encryption.
So it's very, very strange.
And also, as Joe mentioned earlier today, President Obama was giving a speech on cybersecurity.
So the timing is very interesting.
Apparently now we're going to need to give up our rights in order to keep us safe from people hacking Twitter accounts.
I mean, we're already transforming over into this complete and total police state that we live in.
And they keep trying to strip us our liberties, our gun rights, our freedom of speech.
And now this is another attack.
what, you know, yet again.
With the Internet now, and what is this going to do?
This is going to make all the sheeple go, oh my God, we need more security.
We need more government.
You know, you guys need to take control, don't you, Phil?
Well, I mean, global NSA surveillance didn't stop the parachuting, even though they were connected to two high-level, well-known people.
Anwar al-Awlaki, of course, former FBI asset.
Died at the Pentagon.
Abdul Muttalib, the underwear bomber, who was a clear patsy, as we know from Kurt Haskell, and Under Secretary of State Patrick Kennedy.
So if the surveillance state, this global surveillance state, can't catch terrorists who have...
Given off every warning sign that they're clearly tied to groups like AQAP in Pakistan, then there's no way that more surveillance is going to stop terrorism.
Of course, we know that surveillance is not about terrorism.
From all the leaked NSA documents, we know it's about going after corporations, corporate espionage, and really surveilling the American people.
So this is just, whatever happens from this, you know, giving up our liberty is not going to be the answer.
Yeah, it's not just as simple as a hacked Twitter.
It has bigger implications on that.
And like you said earlier, it's very odd that today the president goes out and talks about cybersecurity the same time that this is happening.
You know, the whole Paris shooting...
As a whole, it's already as shady as it can get, and then now we have this as well.
You're tracing it back to Maryland, like you said, the implications of what's in that area.
So we're going to continue to bring you updates.
Mikhail and I will be on the story watching it as it unfolds, and it'll be interesting to find out whether or not the FBI will actually look into some of these IP addresses because they actually cc'd them on some of the Twitters with the IPs that they were able to find, as well as this Anon group.
