Today I want to talk about how the personality of leaders Let me first talk about Theresa May, whom we talked about a year and a half ago, where I said she would not be successful in Brexit.
The reason I said that is that she had no history of developing any strategies, tactics, or understanding personality differences to allow her to develop a comprehensive plan so that England could leave the EU. I found it to be very pleasant,
engaging, but without any serious gravitas or merit in terms of either business history or a strategic history where she had to develop strategy and tactics.
In turn, the vote today in Brexit did not occur.
Brexit would probably fall apart and England would have to reconstitute itself under another prime minister because she has not been effective.
Then we go to another personality by the name of Emmanuel Macron, who I've said from the very beginning was defeat, incompetent, and was a man who was very arrogant.
In fact, what happened is his own personality played out to such an extent that we have had in France riots for over several months where the Yellow Vests, just ordinary people who are complaining about the increase in taxes on their The gas bill was causing them destitute and they could not afford to have an ordinary life, particularly the middle class and the lower class workers.
So, as predicted, Emmanuel had to come forth, make a statement and said that he would eliminate the gas tax and would lower the income tax for the middle classes.
In effect, what he said is that he was wrong, but the reality is that he can no longer be The President or the Prime Minister of France.
His personality is not suited for it.
He's too arrogant and too indifferent to the concerns of the ordinary citizen.
Then we come to the third and most interesting person of all, Donald Trump.
Donald Trump, as you know, is strategic.
He's had a business history.
He has been very effective in certain strategies and tactics.
But recently he found himself in a quagmire.
He wanted to get a new White House Chief of Staff and he said that John Kelly would be leaving.
It was John Kelly or General Kelly who wanted to announce his own departure in his own way, but Trump preempted him and then made some side comments about General Kelly, which I do not think were appropriate.
General Kelly has done a formidable job of keeping command and control in the White House.
Unfortunately, the two personalities that are a real problem in the White House is again Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump, who have created a lot of problems for the United States.
I don't know whether they're loyal to their father or their family, but to the United States, they really have no place in the White House.
So what happened?
Donald Trump decided he was going to appoint Nick Ayers, whom I said in the beginning was not appropriate for that position.
Nick Ayers is a very effective, very quick study in political operations, but not in strategy and tactics.
He's a man who at a very young age developed consulting firms.
in the Republican Party and made an absolute fortune and I wish him the best but quite frankly I was impressed that he did not want to have that position in the White House and the reason is he knew very well that he would have to come under scrutiny From the American public with regards to the 20 to 30 million dollars he owned as a political consultant.
Nevertheless, that was his decision.
It was a smart decision.
Now Trump has to look around.
He's been co-opted by his own grandiosity and his own mercurial temperament.
And he has to find somebody who can suit his temperament.
Let me say the following.
With concern to Brexit, Hugh Grant, the comedian, once said, Brexit is the equivalent of England taking a shotgun and blowing its face out.
