A rented truck was driven through a popular tourist street in Barcelona - leaving over ten people dead and approximately one-hundred injured - in the latest terrorist attack to hit Europe. The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attack with one suspect dead and another two in custody. In the shadows of Charlottesville - which saw James Fields drive his Dodge Challenger through a crowd of protesters, killing Heather Heyer and injuring 19 others – Stefan Molyneux makes a plea for conversation, de-escalation and non-violence. Everyone, this is what Nobody seems to remember.
1860, before the Civil War, every single slave owner in the United States was a Democrat.
There were four million slaves.
Not one single Republican owned slaves.
But who must disavow?

We've got state Senator Maria Chappelle Nadal, a Democrat, posted a Facebook comment stating, quote, "I hope Trump is assassinated and Twitter is just letting it trend." 2017 has seen a terror attack attempted in Europe every week, once a week, every seven days.
Today, a coordinated terror attack in Barcelona.
At least 80 people have been taken to hospital.
A dozen or so have died.
Two people have been arrested.
It's still not even clear how many attackers were involved.
Witnesses said a white van went zigzagging, rocketing down Las Ramblas.
It's an avenue packed with tourists and it mowed down pedestrians and left bodies scattered across the concrete.
This is Spain's deadliest terrorist attack since March of 2004.

And then, as if an unholy gift from some deep devil, we have two vehicle attacks within the space of a few days, one in Charlottesville and one in Barcelona, and seeing some people contort themselves into differentiating the two and opposing the two, it's astonishing and horrifying to watch.
It feels like I can go from the sanity of my home and my family and my friendships to a madhouse of murderous illogic.
There are thousands killed every year in Islamic attacks worldwide and people say, not all Muslims, of course, of course.
There's a driver in Charlottesville, a young man who has a single mom, mother, in a wheelchair.
He's been diagnosed with schizophrenia.
He was taking antipsychotics.
There were numerous 911 calls from his house when he had threatened his wheelchair-bound mother, no father, in the home.
And this young man, to me at least, clearly suffering from mental illness on antipsychotics, diagnosed as a schizophrenic.
The attack...
Like a silent shockwave is supposed to radiate out to all whites, all Republicans, all the way up to Donald Trump.
And Donald Trump must disavow and disavow and disavow and disavow.
Really? Who is going to be asked to disavow the attack in Barcelona?
It's not like you can't find some people who it might be Worthy to ask, do you disavow?
But the media won't.
They won't.
You've got CNN musing on air that the Barcelona attack might be a copycat of the Charlottesville attack.
Really? Why not the reverse?
Why was the Charlottesville attack not a copycat of the Islamic truck attacks?
It's madness out there.
It's tiring. It's tiring.
It's like holding a feral predator with brain tentacles at arm's length in a small Dostoevskian square of nothingness hanging in space forever.
Madness is relentless.
Reason must be stronger.
And now, after the terrorist attack in Barcelona, we have the usual clichés, the hashtags, the flag changes, the lit-up buildings, and the exhortation to keep calm and to carry on as if nothing has changed.
As if nothing has happened.
This has been going on decade after decade after decade.
Keep calm and carry on.
Nothing has changed. Nothing should change.
Nothing will change. Well, West, how's that working out for you?
For twelve years I have stood in the public square and suffered the slings and arrows of outrageous misinterpretation, calling for peace, calling for reason, calling for discourse, calling for dialogue.
I know where this leads if we do not change our course.
History is very clear.
This is like watching a bouncing bloody ball go down the stairs one by one.
You don't know when, you don't know how, but you know its destination.
For 12 years I have been calling for reason.
And the world has so far largely refused to listen.
I'm telling you out there, you must.
You must change for the better.
You must summon the words that split the swords.
You must summon the language that That stops the violence.
You must change for the better, everyone.
You must learn to listen.
You must learn to reason, to make an argument, rather than an attack, a hysteria, a bitchiness, a snarkiness, an escalation.
A truck.
I have studied enough history to know Exactly what happens when words fall.
When words fall, the devils themselves rise and rule.
