Voice of the Forgotten

Sean Hannity and Cheryl Minter dissect the murder of Stephanie Minter by Abdul Jala, a repeat offender allegedly released due to Virginia's sanctuary policies. They condemn Governor Abigail Spanberger's executive order banning ICE cooperation and HB 1441, arguing these measures endanger citizens while listeners demand stricter enforcement. The segment critiques Democratic leadership for prioritizing immigration over public safety, urging voters to prioritize border security in upcoming midterms. Ultimately, the discussion frames local sanctuary laws as a direct threat to community safety and national law and order. [Automatically generated summary]

Governor's Failure to Act 00:14:54
This is an iHeart podcast.
Guaranteed human.
All right, news roundup and information overload hour.
Here's our toll-free telephone number.
If you want to be a part of the program, it's 800-941-Sean.
If you want to join us, I want to play for you, and I want you to, if you can, I mean, it's always hard to put yourself in other people's shoes.
You try and you try and imagine in your mind's eye how you might react if this happened to you, but it's happening to Americans all across the country.
I've spoken to many an angel mom over the years.
For example, I've spoken to Lake and Riley's family.
I've spoken to Rachel Morin's family.
I've spoken to Alexis Nungari, Jocelyn Nungari's mother.
I've interviewed many of them, not all of them, but I've interviewed many of them.
And it is just so sad when all of these horrible crimes, including murder and rape, child molestation, kidnapping, other violent crimes are happening, and all of it was preventable.
But I always say what Biden and Harris and Maorcas did was the single most preventable national security disaster in our history.
But you have another violent criminal illegal, another preventable murder of an American citizen.
And, you know, now the Department of Homeland Security, which is not being funded because Democrats don't like ICE.
They don't care about how many people are shot in Chicago on any given weekend.
They don't care about the families.
They wouldn't stand for the family of Lake and Riley and Jocelyn Nungari, but they care about the rights of illegals.
When President Trump said, is it not our first duty, stand if you agree, that our first job is to take care of American citizens, not illegals.
Anyway, the Department of Homeland Security announcing that the U.S. Immigration Customs lodged a detainer requesting Virginia not release a career criminal, illegal alien with more than 30 arrests after Fairfax County Police Department charged him for allegedly fatally stabbing a woman in the neck on Monday.
We have covered this case in the past.
And according to local reports, Stephanie Minter was 41 years old, Fredericksburg, and was found dead at a local bus stop, multiple stab wounds to her upper body.
Police later published a photo of the individual involved from Sierra Leone, a national, Abdul Jala, 32, taken from a surveillance camera, alerting the public that he should be considered dangerous and to call the police if they see them.
Police then arrested and charged Jala with this murder.
And anyway, he was charged with, you know, petty larceny for an additional crime that occurred earlier in the day.
Now, what happened is Cheryl Minter, an angel mom and mother of Stephanie, who was murdered by this illegal in Virginia, says politicians have now stopped serving the American people, the American citizen.
Listen.
I'm Cheryl Minter, Stephanie's mom.
And I miss her so much.
I had her for 41 years.
And I don't know what I'm going to do without her.
She was a joy of my life.
She was a joy to everybody.
Family, friends, things.
Change.
Change has got to happen with this.
It's disguised.
I don't know where all these political people are, I mean, they stopped serving citizens.
They just stopped.
And I'm not quite sure how they get voted in.
If you're doing this to all the people, how do they keep going?
I mean, it's got to stop from court level up.
All of it.
Judges are part of it.
Lawyers are part of it.
And it goes up the ladder.
I couldn't even name them all because I don't know them.
Hopefully we can figure out ways to bring about change so these vicious criminals aren't repeatedly put back on the streets again and again.
Now, Fairfax County Commonwealth's attorney Steve Descano and the sheriff Stacey Kincaid were invited to testify at a hearing next month before the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security and Enforcement.
And anyway, what's mind-numbing to me, the committee members previously sent letters to Descano and Kincaid, and the hearing was scheduled after the murder of Stephanie Minter.
And it is remarkable to me that they're nowhere to be found.
Anyway, joining us now is the mother of Stephanie Minter.
She lost her 41-year-old daughter.
Cheryl Minter is with us, who you just heard.
And Jason Millarez is with us, the former Attorney General of Virginia.
I wish he was still in office.
He did a great job when he was working with Glenn Young.
Thank you both for being here.
You know, Cheryl, I don't think anybody could really put themselves in the position that you're in.
This is your beautiful daughter.
She's 41 years old.
Then you learn the circumstances of this guy with 30 prior arrests, a removal order that was never taken out of our country.
And then when I say that these left-wing Democratic politicians that allow this to happen and believe in no bail laws and they don't work with ICE and cooperate because of Sanctuary City and state policies, that they have blood on their hands.
I believe this is another case in point.
I'm so sorry for your loss.
I don't have words to comfort you.
I don't think there are words to comfort a mother in your position, but you are in our prayers.
All our love goes out to you.
What do you want to say to these people?
They just need to, I mean, they're trying to go against all of everything that the United States is based on, the Constitution.
I mean, and they're trying to like delete it and make their own.
And it's horrible.
It's horrible that they're doing these things and that they're, I don't even know how they sleep at night, to tell you the truth.
How these left-wing people just sleep.
How do you go to bed knowing that you've got blood on your hands every night?
And it just continues to happen.
And there are others that feel like me, and it's the parents of all the others that have been taken by these vicious criminals again and again.
I've tried to take them, but the state is stopping them over and over.
And from my understanding, it's not just Virginia and a lot of other places also.
Have you ever heard from Abigail Spanberger, your governor?
Oh, no.
No, I have not heard from her.
Not surprising.
You know, Jason, this was a very different, these are very different policies than you had in place when you were the Attorney General in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
And, you know, I watched Abigail Spamberger.
I watched her campaign.
And all that she is doing in terms of trying to, you know, take congressional districts away from Republicans in a state that went 46% for Donald Trump, everything that she's doing with, you know, trying to do a gun grab, everything she's doing to support illegal immigrants.
I don't recall her ever running on any of these things.
And how is it a politician can't pick up a phone and call Cheryl Minter, who just lost her 41-year-old daughter in an incident that never should have happened if government was serving the people of their state?
Right.
Well, yeah.
And if you think about Abigail Spanberger, she ran on affordability, but the first executive order, executive order number one, that she signed in the law was overturning Governor Yunkin's very common sense policy where she now banned the state police and the Virginia Department of Corrections with cooperating with ICE and federal immigration authorities.
Now, think about this.
If you're an illegal alien in the Virginia Department of Corrections, you're not sitting in a jail.
You're a convicted felon, convicted, and sitting in a Virginia prison.
So that means rape, murder, dealing heroin or fentanyl.
And even then, she reversed Governor Yunkin's policy.
And what we saw in Fairfax with these local sheriffs, these local governments, and these local prosecutors, what they have done is instituted sanctuary policies.
So you have a sheriff in Fairfax who will not honor ICE detainers.
You have a local left-wing, a social justice prosecutor that in this case, Stephanie's killer had been arrested 30 times.
He dropped charges after charges, two prior malicious wounding charges.
The local Fairfax police in writing sending a letter to Descano saying this guy is a ticking time bomb.
He is a menace to society.
He kept dropping charges so this guy would be back on the street because he realized a felony conviction would affect his immigration status.
And yet a local board of supervisors in Fairfax that passed something called the trust policy that also formerly in writing prohibited their local law enforcement from working with ICE.
All of that is to say is that Fairfax became a magnet in a sanctuary county.
And what's most shocking, Sean, is right now at the governor's desk, for your listeners in Virginia, there's a bill called HB 1441 that would ban statewide all 133 localities would be banned from cooperating with federal immigration authorities.
So in other words, the failed policy in Fairfax, Spamberger is about to make that the law in Virginia.
Whether you're a great sheriff like we have down in Bedford, Virginia, and those that want to cooperate and work with federal immigration authorities, they would be barred by law from doing so.
It is a shocking left-wing bill that you would see, say, in California.
And that's what Spamberger is doing.
And my worry is we're going to have more Stephanie's and more mothers that have lost their loved ones because a politician is doing the wrong thing and Spamberger's doing the wrong thing.
I mean, it's just pathetic.
I mean, have you ever requested a meeting with the governor, Cheryl?
I have not requested a meeting with her.
No.
What would you, if you could tell her, what would you want to tell her?
And maybe we'll get this tape to her.
So maybe she can hear it if she wants to.
I bet her staff will prevent her from hearing it.
Well, I'm just wondering what her reasons are behind it.
Does she think these illegal aliens are going to give her votes somewhere along the line?
Or is she doing it for the safety of the people?
Because that's not safety for the people at all.
And it seems like there's been like, what, five or six just since Stephanie, which has only been four weeks more in that, just in the Fairfax area.
And she's letting these people go.
I would really like to understand her reasoning.
I don't think you can ever understand it.
And our prayers are with you.
Our prayers are with your family.
It's such a tragedy.
You know, what I've learned, unfortunately, most people that have to live through what you're living through, I've never met somebody that is ever really the same again.
And I know we put our hope in God and heaven and paradise and salvation, but it doesn't give us a whole lot of comfort missing the people that we love.
We are praying for you and your family, Cheryl.
Thank you, Jason.
We need you back in office.
You got to run for governor next time.
I think you'd be a great candidate.
Thank you, Sean.
We'll see you on the trail ahead.
All right, my friend, 800-941-Sean is our number if you want to be a part of the program.
All right, let's hit our busy phones.
800-941-Sean, our number.
Benny is in Brooklyn, New York.
Benny, how are you?
Glad you called.
I'm fine.
How are you, Sean?
I'm good.
Thanks for checking in.
I love you, Cheryl.
You're a rare voice of reason, even on the right.
What do you mean, even on the right?
Even amongst right, you know, right five, you know, talk so home.
You're very kind.
I understand.
I'm teasing.
What's on your mind?
Okay, anyway, now I just wanted to say that, I mean, we were talking about human behavior before.
In order to change human behavior, you need to change the incentives.
Currently, I think that no state, if they have to fully bear the cost of having all these illegals in their states or cities, would keep them if they had to bear the full cost of them.
The only reason why they're doing this is because they're getting federal dollars, maybe per person, whether or not they're illegal or illegal.
But if you remove the incentive, then they're not going to want to keep them themselves.
So, I mean, personally, I think that the federal government shouldn't have any domestic programs on the federal level.
All these programs should be on a state level or a local level, where they're much better managed.
And you can keep costs on and keep what the citizens get for these programs on a much higher quality level.
Not only do they protect them, but then they take our money and they reward them with our tax dollars for health care, education, and all sorts of other government programs.
The Scariest Audio Yet 00:05:08
It's unbelievable.
You wonder why sanctuary states like California are going so bankrupt.
It's pretty simple math.
It's not hard to figure out.
Benny, we appreciate you, man.
Thanks for checking in.
You know, the reason we talk about the madness of defund, dismantle, reimagine, no bail laws, is there are victims.
And I know we can scroll the names of people that you never heard in Chicago that have been shot, shot, and killed.
We've been doing that since 2009.
But every one of these families is suffering.
I don't know why some cases are more high profile than others, except I know in the case of Democrats, if they can exploit a case for political gain or to try and bludgeon Trump like they did in Minneapolis, they will do so.
But they will completely ignore all of the people that have been murdered and raped and victims of other violent crime.
All the children that have been molested by Biden, Harris, Mayorkas, illegals, and they all, you know, bear some of the blame because they sat idly by and they went along with the big lie that the border is closed and border secure.
But it's when you see an individual that loses a family member, like we just spoke with Cheryl Minter, when you hear from them and the agony that they're living through and the pain that will never go away.
This pain never dissipates, never goes away.
You know, I don't care what Savannah Guthrie's politics may or may not be.
I don't know what her politics are.
I don't know.
But her 84-year-old mother was taken from her home.
And this is but one, and now in her case, obviously famous, but it's relevant to anybody that has family members that are victims of horrible crimes, like her mother.
And in many ways, she was kind of blaming herself.
And I don't think she should blame herself.
Breaking down while grappling with whether her mom was kidnapped because she happens to be on television and a public figure.
Listen.
I think my brother, I mean, my siblings are so amazing.
My brother, you know, he spent his career in the military and worked in intelligence and is a fighter pilot and is brilliant.
And he saw very clearly right away what this was.
And even on the phone, when I called him, he knew.
And he said, I think she's been kidnapped for ransom.
And I said, what?
Well, why?
What?
And then, I mean, it sounds so my coat dumb could I be, but I just, I didn't want to believe.
I just said, do you think because of me?
It's not Savannah's fault.
The person responsible, it's their fault.
There is evil in this world.
That's why I tell you, you need a safety security plan for you and your family.
I talk about Sig Sauer.
I talk about BYRNA.com all the time.
I talk about simply safe home security.
You know, the reason is, is because I believe in it.
I wrote a whole book about evil.
It's unfortunate.
Linda, I'm not sure if you saw this cut.
It was on Fox News.
And a bunch of spring breakers were asked about Iran and Venezuela and what they know about it.
It's very, very enlightening.
Take a listen.
You must be happy.
I'm very happy.
The Ayatollah's dead.
I'm so what?
Who?
What?
What is that?
Who the f is Ayatollah?
I've never heard that word in my life.
Lewis, what's Ayatollah?
I haven't heard.
I found out about Chuck Norris yesterday.
That was more devastating to me.
He was the supreme leader of Iran.
He's dead?
Oh, Leanna.
We killed him.
Oh, you did?
You killed him?
If you were in charge, how would you take on Iran?
Yeah, all my girls and we would all start putting belt on them.
We get a bunch of girls in bikinis.
We make them run across the battlefield.
All the guys are distracted.
We all run in.
Look at him in his eyes, I guess.
Flirt with him?
I'd blow him up.
I don't know enough about it, but I would probably wipe it out.
Drop a bomb.
Baby, bomb the out of them.
What have you heard about Venezuela?
Venezuela?
Nothing.
I barely know what will be going on in like Tennessee where I'm from.
That they beat us in the World Baseball Classic.
Have you heard anything else?
No?
Nothing.
I have heard nothing about Venezuela.
Where is Venezuela?
I don't know.
I'm drunk.
I really, I don't know.
Venezuela?
Isn't that in Spain?
You're brilliant, Linda.
I have to say that is one of the scariest pieces of audio that we've played in a really long time.
And what's more scary is some of those idiots are old enough to vote.
That's what's more scary.
No, I think pretty much all of them are old enough to vote.
Well, I don't know.
I mean, some people get into college early.
Smart Agents and Voting 00:09:07
Well, there's two things that come to my mind.
One is just, if you want to know how bad our educational system is, these are kids that actually got into and allegedly are attending college.
This is college spring break.
If you don't know, I don't even know how to begin to help such a person.
You can't help these people.
They care about one thing.
Actually, they care about two things.
And the first thing is they care about being seen.
So if they see a TV camera, it's like Instagram on drugs.
It's ridiculous.
It's like their favorite thing in the world.
And then the second thing is, is that they just want to be popular within their little crew.
So they'll say whatever funny or what they're not interested in being smart or educated or informed.
They're too preoccupied with their own Snapchat.
Unbelievable.
All right, let's get to our busy phones.
Let us say hello to Andy in my free state of Florida.
Andy, how are you?
Glad you called, sir.
I'm very good, Sean.
First time caller, long time listener, and a great patriot of your show on TV.
Thank you.
Congratulations to your engagement to Ainsley.
I hope you're happy.
I appreciate it.
Most people can't believe she said yes.
Most people don't believe she said yes, but it's true.
Well, you're a very lucky man, and she's a very lucky lady to have you.
My question to you, sir, is why the Treasury Department falls under the executive branch, correct?
Correct.
Okay, so why can't President Trump just put, tell Scott Benson, do not pay any more Congress people until this is settled?
Well, that's a matter of law.
To the credit of people like Ted Cruz and others, they're not taking a salary in the interim.
I've got to give props to where, you know, to those people that are doing that.
But, you know, it's symbolic.
It's not going to make a dent.
They're just kind of standing in solidarity with these people that haven't been paid in 45 days.
Right.
But couldn't he do an executive order or something like that and say that?
And then the Democrats are going to sue and they're going to go to court, but at least they would feel the pain that the TSA agents feel.
Yeah, but that would take an act of Congress to make that happen.
I think any time ever that Congress is not funding any aspect of Congress, honestly, I think that, just to be very, very blunt with you, I think they shouldn't get a penny.
I agree.
I absolutely agree.
And I don't understand why the Democrats keep blocking it.
I mean, you know, it's not right for these people to go, what, almost, what, 60, 60 days counting the last shutdown?
Yeah, that's a little less than that.
It's about 45 days.
I think it's the longest ever, to be honest.
It's just terrible.
Yeah.
So the president can't do anything.
He can't even tell the.
Well, I mean, I mean, Elon Musk offered to pay the TSA agents.
Here's the problem.
There's now a lot of attrition.
You know, this is the second time in a year that this has happened to government workers, and they're fed up.
And about 450 as of Monday had quit.
I'm sure that number's going up by the day.
Then you have a bunch of others that say, what's the point of going to work if I'm not going to get a paycheck?
And I don't really blame them.
And we have ICE agents that are trying to help, but there's only so much that they can do.
And the real answer, and this is what's frustrating.
Democrats have been saying for the longest time, we'll fund everything except ICE.
Then the president comes back and says, all right, I'll take the deal.
No, we don't want that deal any longer because Donald Trump signed off on it.
I mean, that's how sick they are.
I totally agree.
Well, then maybe the TSA agents should just go on strike and shut it down and then see what the government does.
Say, hey, you're not going to pay us.
Why don't we just shut everything down, bring the country to a halt?
So it's just sad.
I mean, you know, people, you have to travel.
I mean, this is for a lot of families, this is spring break time.
They want to take a vacation.
All right.
Well, some vacation when you got to wait six, eight hours in line just to get to you just to get to the terminal where your plane's taken off from.
That's not a vacation to me.
Right.
Anyway, my friend, I'm going to move on, Andy.
I appreciate you.
God bless you.
Sharon is in Texas.
God bless Texas.
How are you, Sharon?
Glad you called.
Thank you, Sean, for taking my call.
I have looked everywhere on county, state, and federal sites and cannot find a comprehensive list of victims of illegal aliens.
I want to share that list with my liberal family members and friends who have their heads stuck in the sand about all the harm being done to us.
Those spring breakers need to get a list, too.
I'm just, I have a 20-year-old granddaughter who lives downtown Austin, and I worry about her every single day.
We got to do something, Sean.
We just do.
Well, I promise you, you know, I can hear you.
You have a heart of gold, and you obviously care about your family.
And any American with a heart and a soul feels like you do.
And, you know, I have a voice, and I'm trying to use that voice to make people aware so that we can make positive changes.
And I promise I'm going to do everything in my power to do so.
But there's only so much we can do.
And this is why everything we've discussed on this radio program today, this is why this is the most important midterm election year in your lifetime.
And everything's hanging in the balance here.
And the only thing I'm asking this audience, and that includes you, Sharon, is that make a promise to yourself, come hell or high water, that you're going to vote this election year.
You're going to make this a top priority.
I'm not asking for anything else from this audience.
I'm not selling anything.
I don't want to sell anything.
I just want this country to stay the course.
I want this country to be safe and secure, to have law and order, good, sound economic principles.
I want somebody that understands good versus evil.
I want somebody that is smart enough to control our borders.
I want somebody smart enough to realize the American people are overtaxed, not undertaxed.
And that's what I'm hoping.
That's what we're fighting for.
Anyway, God bless you, Sharon.
Appreciate your call.
800-941 Sean, if you want to be a part of the program.
Julia is in Louisiana next on the Sean Hannity Show.
Hey, Julia.
Okay.
Hi.
Well, longtime listener, I've been listening to you since you with Russian Atlanta.
So thank you for taking my call.
I just quick point.
You're welcome.
First, I just wanted to thank you for recognizing the young ladies that were killed by illegals.
And please don't forget about Kayla Hamilton.
My daughter has autism, and my heart was broken when I heard that.
So please, please don't forget about that.
And then my other, just my other points.
Can the Senate attach raises for TSA to a reconciliation bill to open up the government or to pass the SAVE Act?
Because I don't think John Thune is going to do what he's supposed to do.
So the only other solution that I see is if we don't get this passed, that 27 senators, his colleagues, step up and vote him out.
And if the parliamentary does not, if she tries to strip something from the reconciliation bill, she needs to be fired.
And just my last point would be, you're right, this is the most important election in our lifetime right now.
This is going to determine what happens.
for the next, I don't know, 50 years.
And, you know, people do need to get out and vote.
Republicans get lazy and complacent, and they need to get out and, you know, stop whining because they don't have the perfect candidate.
You know, we have to win elections before we can change policy.
Appreciate your smart wisdom.
I wish more people had the wisdom that you have.
Julie, Louisiana, thank you.
I hope people are listening.
She's smart.
All right, that's going to wrap things up for today.
We will have the latest on Operation Epic Fury and the present that the Iranians gave President Trump.
Does that give us hope that maybe peace in the Middle East and this military operation will come to an end?
Will they meet the president's demands?
What should the demands be?
We'll check in with Stephen Miller.
We'll check in with Mark Meadows, Joe Concha on how corrupt the news media is.
Brianna Lyman will join us and we'll talk to Lawrence Jones, Nancy Grace, Telly DVR, Nine Eastern, Hannity on Fox.
We'll see you then back here tomorrow.
Thank you for making this show possible.
