31:58
The Iran Threat, Media Spin, and America’s Next Move

Sean Hannity and Tudor Dixon analyze Senator Elissa Slotkin's reported funding shift for DHS following a Michigan synagogue attack, alleging Democrats enable sleeper cells from 200+ countries while defunding FEMA and the Coast Guard. They contrast Jesse Buckley's Oscar speech with Chelsea Handler's views, then critique Zohran Mamdani's proposed 50% inheritance tax on estates over $750,000 and 1% property surcharge, warning it will trigger a billionaire exodus like California's. The discussion highlights Susie Wiles' breast cancer diagnosis as she continues as White House Chief of Staff, while callers condemn the "communist left" for destroying America via open borders and defunding police, labeling John Fetterman and Bill Maher as rare exceptions within a hijacked party. Ultimately, the episode frames these domestic failures as symptoms of a broader geopolitical threat orchestrated by Iran, Russia, and China. [Automatically generated summary]

Fund Coast Guard, Not ICE 00:07:38
This is an iHeart podcast.
Guaranteed human.
All right, news roundup information overload hour.
Here's our toll-free number.
It's 800-941-Sean, if you want to be a part of the program.
It was very interesting.
I noticed today that, what's her name?
The Michigan senator, Elisa Slotkin, whatever her name.
Yeah, Slotkin.
Yes.
Alyssa Slotkin flip-flopped in favor of DHS funding after Friday's synagogue terrorist attack.
Gee, interesting.
She changed her tune.
She voted in favor of continuing the partial shutdown on Thursday during a press conference.
The next day, you know, the DHS needs to be funded because it's an essential agency.
You know, so does FEMA.
So does the Coast Guard.
So does the Secret Service, all defunded.
I meet TSA agents when I travel.
They haven't been paid for 29 days.
And you know what?
It's tough on these agents and it's not fair to these agents.
And anyway, it just, it shouldn't shock anybody or surprise anybody because this is who the Democratic Party is.
Here's Adam Schiff, the congenital liar.
Corey Booker confronted on their refusal to fund the Department of Homeland Security while we are at war and the risk of domestic terrorism gets higher.
We said, let's wall off ICE funding.
Let's fund these other agencies that protect the country.
And the Republicans, one after another, voted them down.
Isn't it time for Democrats to reopen and refund DHS?
So first of all, Democrats have tried multiple times to try to get TSA, CISA, the Coast Guard funded.
Republicans have refused time and time again to fund the whole agency funded.
They want the whole agency.
But we should be funding those TSA agents that keep us safe, CISA, Coast Guard.
And for Republicans to refuse to do it is unacceptable.
No, what's unacceptable, and Mike McCall called them out on Sunday saying Democrats will have blood on their hands if they continue blocking funding for the Department of Homeland Security.
New York Post reported this weekend that the brother of this terrorist that rammed this vehicle into this Michigan Jewish preschool was a Hezbollah commander, according to the IDF.
And that's not a shock either.
And on top of all of that, you have, you know, Elise Slotkin now saying, oh, excuse me, yeah, I think I'm going to fund it now.
Democrats' ongoing DHS funding has defunded the agency's terrorist bombing prevention training.
Excuse me, this has to stop in the middle of a conflict war where we know sleeper cells, which, by the way, Democrats allowed in the country and lied to you about open borders from over 200 countries, including countries with terror ties.
Anyway, here to weigh in on this and other issues, Tudor Dixon, former Michigan gubernatorial candidate and host of the Tudor Dixon podcast on iHeart.
And Mahek Cook, CEO of America's Frontier Strategies, is here with us.
Tudor, well, you know, Michigan, not a shock to learn these new developments after what happened here.
No, and it's very disingenuous to have Senator Slotkin out there saying that she wants DHS funded because she's just like all of the other ones.
She absolutely won't vote for it.
She says things, but her actions, as always, speak louder than words.
And she came out and she said, well, you know, through tears, she was devastated by this happening.
And yet she doesn't actually want the people who will find these folks and take care of these issues before they happen to have jobs.
And that's ICE.
Those are the people that are blocking from actually working.
But ICE, yeah, it's not pretty work.
It's work that keeps us safe.
And the reason we want these people to be able to protect their identity is because they are in danger because the people that they are trying to get out of this country have ties in some cases to terrorist organizations like this situation in Michigan.
So when the senator is willing to stand up and say, you know what, I was wrong, this agency does good work for good reasons and keeps people safe, especially in my state that is not only a border state, but also has very diverse communities within the state.
Time for us to make sure we're safe.
We also have Coast Guard, Coast Guard City USA, right down the street from me.
She's not willing to fund the Coast Guard.
I mean, I think it's interesting when the senators all come out and say, we want TSA funded because now it's becoming hard for them to travel.
Well, when they have to have a situation where someone comes to their child's school or to their church or to their synagogue and they deal with terrorism, maybe they'll change their mind about ICE, but I don't want that to ever happen to them.
I don't want it to happen either.
But Heck, let me get your take on this because it's pretty outrageous.
Knowing that we have sleeper cells in the country, knowing Democrats let them in, knowing Democrats lied about the borders being secure and closed, and yet we have people unvetted from over 200 countries, over 12 million plus.
It's a little outrageous.
They caused the problem, lie about the problem.
Now they won't even fund our ability to fight back against the problem.
Sean, this is all by design because Democrats are actually waiting for more death and destruction.
You know, I used to think that death to America was this chant that wasn't on our homeland, but it is right here and it's here to stay because the Democrats' new trophy is terrorism and being a Hamas sympathizer is siding with Iran.
These are the same Democrats that refused to say that Iran was a threat, a terrorist regime.
And when you're looking at over 260,000 workers without pays, you're looking at airport lines, cybersecurity limited, while Iran, Russia, and China are working overtime.
They're watching the destruction in the United States, and they're not mincing any time.
They're continuing to work and make sure that they can threaten every part of our country.
FEMA is nearly empty and going into disaster season.
And on top of that, you have Alyssa Slotkin, a former CIA officer who knows everything about the consequences, and she's allowing this to happen.
This is after DHS, which was created after 9-11.
It's there to make sure that we would never encounter threats again.
Democrats are continuing to put our lives in danger.
And it's all for headlines.
It's all for fundraising.
And they're waiting for the next 9-11.
And mark my words, if we don't get DHS off and these individuals paid, we're not only going to see more catastrophe.
Other foreign countries like China and Russia are watching, and it's only a matter of time.
And this was created by Joe Biden's open border.
The fact that we had a man here whose brother was a Hezbollah commander, that should tell you everything you know.
How many other individuals are in this country that have tithes to terrorists, that are providing material support?
We've had three attacks in 10 days.
That should tell the American people we are not safe today, and Democrats are holding us hostage.
They honestly, their priorities are so screwed up.
I can't even believe that we're even questioning what the outcome of the midterms will be.
But things will come in.
Things will become more clear as the year unfolds.
There's no doubt about it.
Let me move on.
I did not pay attention to the Oscars.
I don't think most normal Americans pay attention to the Oscar.
However, it was one good thing said.
Buckley's Message on Motherhood 00:04:22
I can't believe it.
Now, the best actress winner is a woman named Jesse Buckley.
He gave a shout out to her family and a shout out to being a mom during the Oscar acceptance speech.
I'm glad my team watched it just for this reason.
Let me play the good part.
Isla, my little girl who is eight months, who has absolutely no idea what's going on and is probably dreaming of milk.
But this is kind of a big deal.
And I love you and I love being your mom and I can't wait to discover life beside you.
Chloe and Maggie, you to get to know this incandescent woman and journey to understand the capacity of a mother's love is the greatest collision of my life.
It's Mother's Day in the UK today.
So I would like to dedicate this to the beautiful chaos of a mother's heart.
I mean, I was kind of blown away at that statement when my team alerted me to it.
I'm like, good for her.
It's unbelievable that she actually got the ability to talk about motherhood.
I'm so tired of celebrities mocking it.
You got to contrast that with Chelsea Handler's message, where she thinks kids are such a burden, and she has all of this ample time to do whatever she wants.
And she crucifies, in addition to the rest of Hollywood, what motherhood really means.
So for Jesse Buckley to talk about family, purpose, legacy, and raising the next generation without even talking politics.
I mean, this is just common sense, what makes our country so great.
It's the foundation of society.
And Buckley reminded people that success and motherhood aren't in conflict.
It's one of the most unifying messages that I heard through that entire show.
Everything else for me was on mute because I heard Free Palestine and I turned it off immediately, Sean.
I mean, these are the people that just don't understand that the stage is meant to celebrate theater, to celebrate movies, and less about politics because most of these people live in Los Angeles in this gated society with lots of money and don't live in the real world.
So this was one of those beautiful messages.
And I hope every person in Hollywood takes a second look at what it means to be a mother.
I just got, Tudor, I just liked when we get reminded of the things that matter most in life.
And that does not happen in an environment like that very often.
So I think that's why it stands out so much.
Oh, the beautiful chaos of a mother's heart.
When I heard her say those words, it was like it strikes you right in the chest because you know it.
As a mother, you know it.
And you know that she is saying it with the most incredible amount of love you can ever imagine.
It's more love than you will ever know when you hold your own child, when you take care of your own child.
And that's the message that we have been trying to explain to people.
And we haven't, I don't know why we haven't had a win in this area, but when I see someone who is probably on the opposite aisle of me politically say this, I think, here is a message.
We can all unite.
And we used to all unite around this message without question.
And she's allowing us, and I give Jesse Buckley so much credit because she is allowing us all to say, motherhood is amazing.
It's chaos and it's beautiful and it's incredible.
And I just will say that I had a young couple at my house over the weekend who had told me a few years ago, neither of them ever wanted children.
And their message the other day was just so different.
They said, now that we're in our 30s, we've realized like, what is life without creating new life and raising our own kids?
And I was like, this is what I've been saying to you guys.
I said, there's all these articles saying not people have found out they don't love raising kids.
And she said, that's what I had been reading.
And now I see how wrong that is.
And Jesse Buckley was brave to go out there and say what motherhood truly is.
And it was so lovely.
It brought me to tears and in such a joyful way.
And I loved it.
Life Choices and Tax Policy 00:04:56
All right, quick break, right back.
We'll continue more with Mahek Cook on the other side, more with Tudor Dixon.
And then your call's coming up, 800-941-SEAN if you want to be a part of the program as we continue this Monday.
Keeping an eye on breaking news and bringing it to you first.
Sean Hannity.
All right, we continue final moments.
Tudor Dixon is with us, and Mahek Cook is with us as well.
We're just going over some of the other news of the day.
Let me go to John Snyder, who is the GM of the Seattle Seahawks, and get both of your takes on, you know, the millionaire tax out in Seattle could hurt the Seahawks.
Big time, it's going to hurt the Seahawks.
I've been talking about New York, what Mamdani's proposing: a 50% inheritance tax on top of a 10% state inheritance tax on top of a 40% federal inheritance tax.
That's 100%.
And he wants the tax to kick in at $750,000, which is that you can't buy a house in New York for that amount of money.
New York City.
Let's play it.
Hey, John, always challenges for you and possibly a state tax.
Is that something that comes into play a little bit because of the 10% hit?
You haven't had a huge, you know, the agents were kind of, a bunch of agents yesterday texting me like, hey, can't use that anymore, buddy.
But like it is, I think it is for all the pro teams here, you know, in town.
It's always been a huge attraction, you know, especially competing with the California teams.
It's been a big deal for us.
So, yeah, it's going to sting.
All right.
Let's get the quick comments.
Let's start with you, Tudor.
It's absolute robbery, I think.
When I hear about the New York tax, I think about when my dad was sick and dying, and my mom was saying, you know, we don't want when we pass our estate on to you, we don't want to have to pay taxes on it again.
We already paid taxes.
You shouldn't have to.
And families won't live in places like this.
Just the last thing we just talked about, family, parents look after their kids.
And if they think that what their hard work is going to be will be taken by the government when they die, they won't live there.
And it hurts everything.
It hurts every business.
It hurts entertainment.
It hurts sports.
It hurts everything.
And that's why people are leaving blue cities.
In droves, last word, Mahek.
Well, I think these blue states have lost over 3.7 million residents, Sean.
And this is because Americans are not voting with ballots.
They're actually looking at tax policy.
And this shouldn't be a red or blue issue.
We should be looking at not cutting into the working product and the tax base that Democrats are doing today.
And I've looked at even U-Haul data.
You look at across seven consecutive years, the nation has continued to flee to places like Texas.
And when you look at Mondani and all these other Democrats, I got to tell you, it's the working class and immigrants and the people that Democrats are supposedly fighting for that get hit the most.
Because remember, billionaires can leave in a heartbeat.
They can just pack their bags and go anywhere else in the country.
But the ones that are hit the most are working class and immigrants who are trying to make ends meet.
I'm going to go over what Mamdani's proposing.
And it wouldn't shock me at all if it all gets passed.
It's going to crush the middle class of New York and probably start pushing them out.
But again, they may not have the same options as people that are wealthier.
No doubt about it.
Mehek, thank you.
We appreciate it.
Tudor, thank you.
This is the Sean Hannity Show.
All right, 25 now till the top of the hour, 800-941-Sean is our number if you want to be a part of the program.
Look, let me paint a picture.
It's midnight, sirens are blaring.
You have seconds to grab your kid and get to a bomb shelter.
God forbid you're elderly.
All right, legs don't work as good as they used to.
Getting downstairs, that may feel impossible.
You end up in that bomb shelter and you may be there for hours, days, because you can't make the trek again.
Linda's Breast Cancer Battle 00:03:20
That is happening as Israel is now being pounded by Operation Epic Fury in this conflict with Iran.
That is everyday life.
This is what they have faced for decades.
Unfortunately, and I'm hoping at the end of this, maybe that's the end of it.
I don't know the exact level of awareness because I know that the president's chief of staff and the person that ran his campaign in 2024 may not be as well known to some of you because she wants to stay out of the spotlight.
Now, we know Susie Wiles really well.
I know she never wants to do our show, does she?
Because she keeps a low profile.
She goes in, works hard.
I would say, in all the years I've been doing this, probably the smartest political strategist I've ever met.
The fact that she stood with Trump all through the years to 2024 and led that campaign to historic success is one of the greatest political comebacks in history.
And, you know, to say that I've become friends with her is an understatement.
I just honestly like and respect the hell out of her.
She's just amazing, actually.
And her ability to get along with everybody in an administration, it is the tightest run ship that's ever been at the White House in Trump's first or second term.
As the president said, she's an incredible chief of staff.
She is one of the strongest people I know.
But unfortunately, she has been diagnosed with early stage breast cancer, has decided to take on the challenge.
She's not waiting.
She does have a great medical team.
And thankfully, her prognosis is excellent.
And she's going to keep working through her treatment.
I mean, that just gives you an idea of somebody's commitment to what they do every day.
And she loves what she does, and she's great at what she does.
And I think she's great at it because she loves it.
And anyway, she said in a statement, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Here's the thing I want to just tell everybody.
Our prayers are with Susie and all the women that get breast cancer.
Do you know one in eight women, Linda, get breast cancer?
Now, I've had to deal with this in my personal life.
Years ago, my mother got breast cancer, and it was stage four, and she had 19 impacted lymph nodes.
Her odds of surviving that 30-some-odd years ago were next to none.
And somehow she survived it.
She died from other causes years later, a number of years later, but they saved her life.
And they were able to double mastectomy, you know, followed by chemo, followed by radiation, loss of hair, all of it.
And it's just very, very hard.
And they've gotten much better at the treatments.
And, you know, I just don't wish it on anybody, but early detection is definitely the key for everybody.
So I urge everyone to get, you know, your annual checkup, whatever you do, and keep an eye on these things.
I know you can check for specific, you know, genes, et cetera, et cetera, as well.
Anyway, our prayers are with her today as she unfortunately has to begin this tough journey.
Knowing her as well as I do, I know she will, you know, she will be successful and she will be able to, you know, continue to do her vital work.
Leftist Exodus in Elections 00:11:40
She will be the architect of any chance Republicans have this midterm election year.
Linda, I want you to pay close attention to this.
First, I'm going to give you California numbers.
California has lost $1.5 trillion in wealth, $27 billion in tax revenue, after six billionaires alone flee the wealth tax.
This is Steve Moore's analysis, Unleashed Prosperity.
New study by the economist Hoover Institute that six billionaires, just six, have left the Golden State because they have this referendum in November.
And if passed, it will be retroactive to January of this year, a 5% wealth tax on, quote, billionaires.
Now, in Silicon Valley, there are a lot of billionaires.
We don't need to like billionaires.
Billionaires create a lot of jobs, high-paying career jobs of really smart people, and all those iPhones and computers that make such a big part of our lives and artificial intelligence that is going to change everybody's life.
It's changing it now.
But the escape of just those six people, it's going to cost Gavin State $27 billion in revenue and over a half a trillion dollars in overall wealth.
Wow.
I guess, you know, pretty soon the fourth largest economy in the world, Gavin, like, repeats it like a mantra.
But I have to say, it's not just the billionaires leaving.
It's regular people, too, because even though it's, I mean, the LA Times reported on this right at the beginning of this year because they knew that these new taxes and that they weren't going to be doing anything about the health care crisis and the homelessness and the drug crisis that they have all over their streets.
So regular people are like, I can't raise my kids here.
Like, I actually can't.
So there's a mass exodus of regular people and billionaires.
Like, I don't know how he fixes this.
I don't know that he does.
The only way to fix it would be to elect Steve Hilton, and that's going to be an uphill climb, although he was up in the latest poll.
Let me give you what your former city of New York is doing, and you were smart to get out of New York.
I was smart to get out of New York.
And here's how bad it is.
Now, understand the whole state of Florida's budget is billions of dollars less than what Mamdani is proposing for his budget in New York City.
New York City alone.
I mean, it's remarkable.
I mean, when you consider that Florida has some of the best schools in the country, has the best safety and security around the country.
It's not perfect, but we've got great law enforcement down here that is, by the way, that is appreciated.
It is, you have no state income tax.
You have very low gas taxes.
Property taxes have gone up, but they're dealing with that in this upcoming election year.
So that's going to go down.
Here's what Mondani's now pressuring Hochul and the legislature to help cover.
Even with all the money they take in, which is as much as my entire state, and it's only one city in New York, there's still going to be $5.4 billion in the hole.
It's like Gavin Sanctuary State of California, you know, the highest income taxes, the highest gas taxes, highest sales taxes, you know, highest poverty rate, highest homelessness rate, one of some of the worst schools in the country, and they don't even have water in a fire hydrant or in a local reservoir for predictable Santa Ana winds with wildfires, you know, because they don't practice the science of forestry.
Not that he's there to govern anyway.
He's on book tours and world traveler.
He's in Munich and Davos, and he's a full-time Trump stalker and full-time ex-poster, full-time podcaster, now full-time author.
I mean, it's unbelievable he gets away with this.
But anyway, so in New York, they have a property tax surcharge proposal, 1% for homes valued at $5 million.
Okay.
So as you say, all right, well, it's a tax on millionaires.
A lot of people, it may sound insane, but I'm telling you, if you make a half a million dollars in a year in New York a year, it is not a lot of money.
You are considered comfortable.
Is that a fair statement, Linda?
I don't even know if I would say comfortable.
It's like, I mean, the average house right now, I mean, Ethan and I were talking about this last week.
It's over $700,000 to buy a house in Long Island.
No, we're talking where Ethan lives.
But it affects everybody on Long Island.
That's what people aren't understanding.
They think it's just the city.
It's not.
It's going to affect everybody.
Well, in this case, that he wants a 1% tax on home sales over $1 million.
A million-dollar home in New York City, you're looking at a closet.
Nobody believes me.
I'm just completely online.
And I'm telling you, you're going to say, Hannity's not lying.
He knows what he's talking about.
A city mansion tax, a supplemental tax on properties valued over $5 million on top of the property tax surcharge.
I mean, that's insane.
He wants to add a state-level surcharge on capital gains, income over $500 a year, which is a lot of people's entire income.
He wants to lift the exemption of sales taxes for sales of precious metals like gold and bullion.
I've been investing in that for decades of my life.
You know, that he wants to raise $600 million there.
Now, this is not even the worst part of what he's proposing.
And I talked about this on Friday.
And that is, so right now, the state of New York charges a 10%, well, it's 10% death tax.
The federal government gets 40% on the death tax.
That's money you've already paid taxes in, money maybe you want to pass on to your kids, your favorite charity, whatever it happens to be.
Right now, before this threshold kicks in in New York, it's $7 million.
Kami Mamdani wants to drop it to $750,000.
That means anybody that owns anything in New York is going to be impacted and a drop of 90% of the threshold.
Here's the worst part.
Then he wants to increase the estate tax to 50% from the current 16% rate.
And he, you know, just because he wants to spend money for his socialist utopia, who's going to stay there?
Everybody's getting out.
A friend of mine had a conversation with a pharmaceutical company that is in New York, and the head said, we are leaving.
I just don't want to make the announcement for them.
They haven't announced it yet.
All right, back to our busy phones.
As we say, hi, Kent is in Nevada.
Kent on the Sean Hannity show.
Hi.
Hey, Sean, thanks for taking my call.
What's going on?
Yeah.
Hey, just when you are speaking and you're talking about, and I know it's kind of rhetorical for the most part, like why won't the left, the liberal left, ever understand or, you know, figure it out or when are they going to come around?
I mean, the reality is, and we know this, right?
I mean, there's no way they're ever going, the communist left will never come around because they know what they should be doing.
They know what they're doing is completely imploding the country.
But that's not the communist credo.
Their whole motto is to completely obliterate, obviously, and destroy America, just bring it down to its knees.
I mean, we saw what happened during COVID.
We saw what they knew that they could get a certain amount of the population to comply with what they were doing.
That's all they want to do.
It's kind of like that movie, The Terminator, when Kyle Reese is talking to Sarah Connor, and he's just like, The Terminator can't be reasoned with.
You know, it doesn't feel remorse.
It doesn't feel pain.
It only wants, and it will never stop until you are completely dead.
And that's figuratively, I mean, and maybe literally too, what the communist left want to do.
They don't care.
I mean, I got a buddy that's conservative, and his dad's a full raging liberal, man.
And he just says, yeah, it doesn't.
And this was during Trump's first administration.
He said, he said, yeah, Kent, it doesn't matter if the whole world could basically be burning down around him.
He says, as long as he doesn't have a president that tweets mean things, he doesn't care.
And that's literally what the communist left does.
They do not care, Sean.
They just want to just shut everything down, burn it to the ground, and they don't care what the collateral damage is.
You know, it just, it's making me reflect on what I have concluded is the most important thing this year.
And the most important thing is that this radical left that wants to have open borders and amnesty in sanctuary cities and states and are willing to defund the Department of Homeland Security the way they are, defund the police, dismantle the police, reimagine the police, no bail laws.
You know, this party that is clinging to environmental radicalism, this party that voted for the largest tax increase in history, this party that is just, they have lost their way.
They can't even stand for families of illegal immigrants that for families that lost loved ones to illegal immigrants that they lied about coming into our country and honor them.
They've lost their heart, their soul, their conscience.
Now, there's certain groups out there right now that just want to create a circular firing squad and shoot at each other.
And I am purposely not getting involved because I'm staying dialed into what matters.
If Democrats win this election, I'm going to blame a lot of these people because they have lost their focus.
They have lost their priorities if they ever had them.
And I am telling you right now that the radical left is the biggest threat to American prosperity and security and safety and a better life, better lives for our children and grandchildren.
I'm just staying dialed in.
I'm staying over the target.
Other people want to get pulled in other directions.
They all want to fight each other, have an intramural warfare, create a circular firing squad.
Does this make sense to you, what I'm saying to you?
No, it absolutely does.
And I mean, I had spoken to Katie about this too, but I mean, John Fetterman, I never thought I'd say this, and Bill Maher, too.
I mean, two guys who literally are showing common sense on the left.
And I mean, I don't agree with what they say most of the time, but I mean, the fact that they actually show common sense, I mean, the sad thing about it is they are the minority in the Democrat Party.
The whole Democrat Party, for the most part, has been hijacked.
Nobody but John Fetterman.
There's no other reasonable Democrat.
As a matter of fact, I have John Fetterman on my podcast that drops tomorrow morning, and I just taped this interview with him.
I think you will find it fascinating what we talk about.
Forward to hearing it.
All right, wherever you get your video podcast.
Appreciate you.
Thank you.
All right, 800-941 Sean is on number.
want to be a part of the program all right that's going to wrap things up for today Hannity tonight, 9 Eastern on the Fox News channel.
news you're not going to get from the legacy media mob, the hate Trump crowd, the overwhelming, devastating, I mean, show of military might and force never before seen in history.
They're not going to tell you that story.
We will give you the facts on the ground as the reality presents itself as people on the left here for failure.
We'll have the latest on the save act tonight coming up as well.
Much more.
Set your DBR tonight, 9 Eastern.
