Sheriff's Response: Pima County Mystery 00:06:04
This is an iHeart podcast.
Guaranteed human.
Thanks to all of you for being with us.
Write down our toll-free telephone number if you want to be a part of the program.
Authorities, Pima County, Arizona, continue to investigate the disappearance of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, mother of NBC today co-host Savannah Guthrie.
They view it as a possible abduction and forced entry, and they believe she was taken against her will.
They have not identified any suspects or persons of interest in this case as of now, urging the public to avoid spreading unverified information.
The president last night tweeting out that all federal law enforcement resources are going to be made available to help in capturing the people or the person responsible for this.
The abduction took place on Saturday, last seen on the evening of January 31st after being dropped off by family members, her daughter and son-in-law.
The alarm was raised the following morning when she failed to show up for her regular church service.
And the sheriff says no one has ruled out, has been ruled out as a suspect.
I mean, they just don't know.
So they're just saying, and I don't think anybody should read anything into that.
People rush to judgment too quickly.
The Pima County Sheriff reveals the timeline of this disappearance.
At about 5.32 p.m., Nancy traveled to a local family home for dinner, playing games with her family, visiting at 9.48 p.m.
Consistent with what they were told by the family, Nancy was dropped off at home.
We know that we have a garage door open at that time, approximately that time.
And then about Sunday morning, about 1.47 a.m., the doorbell camera disconnected.
At 2.12, a software detected a person on camera.
No video available.
They had no subscription.
Therefore, it would, you know, rewrite itself.
And in other words, and anyway, it just kind of loops right and covers up.
And by the way, if you do have a home security system, and I urge you to have one, you should put it on record.
And I do it annually, to be honest.
I don't change out the hard drive until I do it annually.
I have AI cameras, Active Guard outdoor protection, facial recognition, all of that.
Every inch of your property, as far as I'm concerned, should be under surveillance.
But then the Pacemaker app at 2.28 shows that it was a disconnect from the phone.
And anyway, it was about noon the next day.
The family discovered her missing.
Sheriff responds to speculation on the son-in-law.
They said everyone's a suspect.
They don't have any one suspect.
They did announce one arrest over an imposter ransom demand in the Guthrie case, which is really sick on some people's parts.
No suspects or person of interest identified.
Specifically at this time, they said that the home DNA tests were minimal, but they're waiting for more lab reports.
But they did have a match, and they believe she's alive.
They believe she's out there.
But time is of the essence because of her health issues and her need for medication.
And, you know, there's just a lot to unpack here, but there's a bigger issue in play.
And I know, and I said this on TV last night, I don't want it to be political.
I really don't.
And I mean that sincerely.
But it's captured the nation's attention.
It's an 84-year-old woman of a television anchor.
And I think everybody with a heart, a conscience, and a soul is praying for her safe, you know, return to her family.
And that's what any good person would want.
And, you know, the Pima County Sheriff confirmed that the blood on the porch belonged to Nancy Guthrie.
We do know that part.
One of the ransom notes, by the way, gave a deadline of 5 p.m. today.
There's a second one that has a deadline of 5 p.m.
On Monday, the FBI offered a $50,000 reward for information on the disappearance.
And there's just a lot we just don't know at this time.
And I don't think they're telling us everything.
But, you know, on this program, we have covered issues involving murder and crime and, you know, senseless murder.
You know, for decades on my TV show and on this radio program, we have highlighted the number of people shot and shot and killed in Chicago.
Why?
Because those lives matter.
And I believe that every person was created by God.
I believe we are endowed by our creator to borrow a phrase, and that every human soul was created by God and every life does matter.
And it's a shame that we have so much death and so much, you know, there's so much murder and kidnapping and horrible things that go on.
We don't pay a lot of attention to it.
I think in that sense, you know, it shows you how important one life is.
It just shows you.
And that's why, you know, I don't understand why any American doesn't want law enforcement to seek out known terrorists and murderers and rapists and child molesters and other violent criminals and cartel members and gang members in our country.
I would think that's something that should not ever be political.
You know, and if you want to know the pain that every family goes through, I think it's captured very well.
And this is very real, very raw, heart-wrenching to hear.
The Pain of Loss 00:09:11
And again, our prayers are with the Guthrie family for the safe return of their mother.
But it's Savannah, her sister, and her brother.
I'm going to play it in its entirety.
Listen.
On behalf of our family, we want to thank all of you for the prayers for our beloved mom, Nancy.
We feel them, and we continue to believe that she feels them too.
Our mom is a kind, faithful, loyal, fiercely loving woman of goodness and light.
She's funny and spunky and clever.
She has grandchildren that adore her and crowd around her and cover her with kisses.
She loves fun and adventure.
She is a devoted friend.
She is full of kindness and knowledge.
Talk to her and you'll see.
The light is missing from our lives.
Nancy is our mother.
We are her children.
She is our beacon.
She holds fast to joy in all of life's circumstances.
She chooses joy day after day, despite having already passed through great trials of pain and grief.
We are always going to be merely human, just normal human people who need our mom.
Mama.
Mama, if you're listening, we need you to come home.
We miss you.
Our mom is our heart and our home.
She is 84 years old.
Her health, her heart is fragile.
She lives in constant pain.
She is without any medicine.
She needs it to survive.
She needs it not to suffer.
We too have heard the reports about a ransom letter in the media.
As a family, we are doing everything that we can.
We are ready to talk.
However, we live in a world where voices and images are easily manipulated.
We need to know without a doubt that she is alive and that you have her.
We want to hear from you and we are ready to listen.
Please reach out to us.
Mommy, if you are hearing this, you are a strong woman.
You are God's precious daughter, Nancy.
We believe and know that even in this valley, he is with you.
Everyone is looking for you, mommy, everywhere.
We will not rest.
Your children will not rest until we are together again.
We speak to you every moment and we pray without ceasing and we rejoice in advance for the day that we hold you in our arms again.
We love you, Mom.
Stay strong.
We love you.
You can't listen to that and not be touched by that.
That is every family of every that has a loved one that has been a victim of crime or that has lost a loved one or that they're looking for a loved one or a loved one has gone missing.
It has all the indications that they at least believe it's a possibility that this is a kidnap ransom.
And, you know, the TMZ, another media outlet also, you know, indicates that this is real.
They're trying to engage in this.
We're ready to talk.
They apparently were not contacted directly, as indicated by Savannah's statement.
We too have heard reports about a ransom letter in the media.
And we're doing everything that we can.
We are ready to talk.
And she's basically asking for proof of life because we live in a world where voices, images are easily manipulated.
We need to know without a doubt she's alive and that you have her.
And that being an opening, you know, to begin a dialogue with people.
I mean, we had Nancy Grace on this program yesterday, and I asked her.
She had lost her fiancé many years ago because of a heinous crime.
And it, it, I mean, the level that you could hear the pain all of these years later.
She never got married.
She never, she, she didn't get married till 19 years later because of that horror, that trauma.
It changed the entire trajectory of her life.
And you could hear the pain in her voice.
And this is what is universal here.
And this is why I'm saying that this is not a political point.
It's not a cheap political point here.
It is that every life matters.
That's why when you hear about shootings in cities every weekend and nobody knows the name of anybody shot, nobody knows the name of anybody shot and killed.
This is why I'm aghast that people couldn't stand for the family of Lake and Riley.
They couldn't stand for the family of little Jocelyn Nungarry.
That to me should not be political.
I think it just is evidence that some people don't have a heart, a conscience, and a soul because those families are devastated and they will never, ever be the same again.
And that's why, you know, we don't need defund, dismantle, no bail, reimagine the police.
We need law and order.
We need safety and security.
I've said so many times it is a prerequisite if you want to pursue happiness.
We don't have that in many American towns and cities because of this insanity.
We're now at a point where you have a political party that wants to defund ICE.
This is madness to me, considering they're risking their lives and they're capturing known terrorists, murderers, rapists, child molesters, all the violent criminals, cartel members, gang members, drug dealers.
We can't have that because each, you know, every person they impact, they're creating a situation like now that the Guthries sadly are having to go through.
And our prayers are with all of these families.
And it's not cliché to say that every life does matter.
It does matter.
That's why we should all be in agreement, in my view.
It should be universal, that we respect life, protect life, want to save lives, and that we respect those people that are willing to put their lives on the line for us to do such and not have organized mobs whipped into a frenzy by, you know, power-hungry politicians, you know, trying to come up with a political strategy to get more power.
And again, it's just a moment to reflect on the broader issue here.
We have come to accept too much of this.
And I'm saying it has to stop everywhere.
And we pray for the safe return of Nancy Guthrie.
And that is very sincere.
You just see pain and agony here in this family and suffering and uncertainty and just sadness.
800-941-Sean, our number.
We'll continue.
I know that there are many of you.
I'm getting some panic also.
Hannity, I'm worried about the midterm.
I'm worried about this point.
I'm worried about, I'm worried.
Okay.
It's 10.
Hang on a second.
I will get to this in a second.
I'm telling you right now, it's too early to start worrying.
Pay attention to it.
Focus on it.
But just, I want you to understand something where we're starting 10 months out of this midterm election.
Now, I will caution you that this is by far the most important midterm election, I think, in our lifetime.
Democrats' Insane Demands 00:13:23
If Democrats win, all progress on the economy and national security, well, probably not national security, but maybe, I mean, if Democrats have their way, Donald Trump would have to get permission from 535 members of the House and Senate to engage in his constitutionally protected authority as commander-in-chief.
But I'm just telling you, if you pay attention to what Democrats are doing, 71% of Democrats support voter ID laws.
71% of Democrats.
It's 83% nationwide.
You know, about 70% to 80% for both African Americans, Hispanic Americans.
And it is simple.
Americans understand that you need integrity in our voting system so every American can have confidence in the results.
Well, Democrats and Republicans have claimed that the system is rigged or that the system's corrupt.
Hillary Clinton among them, election denier.
Stacey Abrams, election denier, the Democrats' favorite term.
So even though it just makes all the sense in the world to have voter ID, signature verification, chain of custody controls for mail-in ballots, that means that once a ballot arrives at a polling place, it's put in a room with a camera available to the public 24-7 so that nobody can go in there and tamper with those ballots.
That means updated voter rolls for every election.
You can't have illegals counted in the census or voting.
That means, you know, again, chain of custody.
You need partisan observers watching the vote counting all day and the voting all day, the vote counting all night.
Not complicated.
Democrats' position, Jim Crow 2.0.
That's what they are saying.
You have footage of Joe Biden showing his ID to vote in the 2022 midterms.
You have Barack Obama in 2012 presenting his ID to vote.
You know, Democrats never had a problem with this.
And now we have Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal saying, ensuring only U.S. citizens can vote is totalitarian and authoritarian.
I mean, this is what they want.
So this is your modern liberal leftist Democratic Party.
They want to defund ICE, and I'll get into that in a minute.
They have very specific demands that are insane.
They want to defund, dismantle, no bail laws, reimagine the police.
That's insane.
They let us have open borders for four years, unvetted, 12 million plus illegals, including terrorists, murderers, rapists, child molesters, other violent criminals, cartel members, gang members, drug dealers.
And now that we're trying to get them out, then, you know, oh, this is Donald Trump.
This is terrible.
It's not.
I mean, so if they're going to be that party, the party that votes for the largest tax increase in history voted against tax breaks for working men and women with no tax on tips and overtime, worked against seniors of removing tax on Social Security, the party that believes in climate alarmism.
It's the cost of democracy, as Kamala famously said, to pay higher gas prices.
If this is their party and what they're going to run on, a lot is this will make it into the consciousness of the American people.
You know, the hypocrisy of the left knows no ends.
Bernie Sanders spent over $550,000 in 2025 campaign funds on his private jets.
You know, he's out there doing the fight the oligarchy tour.
I'm sure that the same thing probably would hold true for AOC unless Bernie paid her way.
And, you know, we're now at a point.
We have a tape of Joe Scarborough, 2003, worrying that California may start issuing driver's licenses to illegals.
And he'll go on air and he'll claim I've never changed.
I'm still conservative.
No, you're not.
Nor is anybody on that network conservative.
You know, he worried that California would issue driver's licenses to illegals by giving these criminals the most accepted form of identification.
This plan seems to legitimize illegal immigration once and for all, and it's dangerous.
What happened to that guy?
Where did he go?
Want to talk about a corrupt media?
Apple News editors personally select each story they publish, okay?
The top stories from left-leaning outlets, 620.
The number of stories they selected from any right-leaning outlet, zero.
Oh, I'm telling you, it's all good.
We'll show you the picture of Obama showing his ID in 2012.
We'll show you the statements that both Barack Obama and Bill Clinton made about illegal immigration.
We'll do that too.
It's insane.
Over at MSDNC, Nicole Wallace: political violence is only committed by the right and people who consume conservative media.
Huh?
Okay.
So I need to run the whole list because it's insane.
Linda, did you see the cringeworthy post of Kamala Harris?
Welcome to headquarters, the new Gen Z-led progressive content hub that she's involved in.
Madam Vice President, what's going on with Kamala HQ?
Well, I'm so glad you asked.
I have good news.
So, Kamala HQ is turning into headquarters, and it's where you can go online to get basically the latest of what's going on and also to meet and revisit with some of our great courageous leaders-be they elected leaders, community leaders, civic leaders, faith leaders, young leaders.
I'm really excited about it.
So, stay engaged, and I'll see you out there.
Thank you.
Stay engaged.
I'll see you out there.
Now, this is again, I know that some people want to panic.
The only thing you have to do if you're listening to this program, and I'll say this every day, and some people write, Hannity repeats himself.
Yep, by design.
Because if I say it once, not all of you are going to hear it or remember it.
The only thing you have to commit yourself to, your heart, mind, and soul, is voting in this midterm.
So, our country can continue to progress with common sense.
It's really that basic and simple.
If everybody that voted for Donald Trump will show up for the midterms and not be lazy, then the great progress we're making as a country domestically and on the world stage will continue.
It's that simple.
You know, it's very interesting if you watch what the Democrats are doing publicly and what's really going on behind closed doors.
Axios had an interesting report on this today because they're talking a big game on ICE publicly.
Behind closed doors, they are scared to death.
They don't want this fight over immigration.
They don't want this fight over the SAVE Act to fight for the right of illegals to vote and not have voter ID.
They don't want Lindsey Graham's bill that will outright ban sanctuary cities and states with real penalties.
They don't want discussions about funding the Department of Homeland Security, which is why I think ultimately they're going to capitulate.
I mean, they're now, why would they, Democrats, with all the increase in violence, vehicular violence against ICE agents up 1,800%, assaults against ICE agents up 1,300%, threat levels up 8,000%?
These guys that have been doxxed, why would they want no mask?
You know, why do they put the burden of proof on the agents?
You know, require ID, but they don't want ID for illegal immigrants.
It's insane.
They want to protect sensitive locations.
Oh, okay.
You can't go to a medical facility, really, or a polling place?
Why not?
Law enforcement shouldn't be inhibited where they can and cannot go.
They already have use of forced standards.
We know they're built into the system.
I'm all in favor.
Let them go crazy.
The crazier they go, but it's interesting.
They're taking one, they're like the Iranians.
The Iranians take one posture publicly in a very different posture behind the scenes.
Biden let, you know, all these, he said 11,888 illegal alien murderers into the country.
I think the number is higher.
We don't even know the number of, all I know is ICE has already arrested and deported 700,000 people.
Then we have, you know, I think it was a very smart play for them to offer people to self-deport, give them a plane ticket, money in their pocket, and an opportunity to apply to come in legally.
I think that's actually really good.
By the way, there's pro-ICE billboards calling out liberal hypocrisy.
Let them do their jobs.
Billboards expressing support for ICE, you know, now springing up in several swing states.
ICE officers are fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends, reads one of them.
Let them do their jobs, reads another one of them.
Another billboard reminds the public that interfering with federal law enforcement operations is a crime and you can go to jail.
One, you know, directly quotes former President Barack Obama, you know, when he said that Americans are right to demand better border security and better enforcement of the immigration laws in this country.
Bill Clinton said the same thing.
You know, there's such hypocrisy on all of this by the radical left.
And that's why I actually was glad that the Grammys happened and that all these idiots spoke out.
You know, even Julian Epstein, we used to have him on regularly during the Clinton impeachment.
The headline is Dems are demented in their ICE demands.
He knows it's political suicide.
700,000, you know, illegals that had criminal records are gone.
And then states like California, Gavin swears, oh, no, we cooperate.
They don't cooperate.
Not according to the law enforcement sources I have there.
They tell me just the opposite.
And, you know, America right now, we need to always be thinking geopolitically.
Why do you think President Trump wants Greenland?
You think he wants a big sheet of ice?
No.
He knows it's of the utmost geopolitical security for both America and our allies in Europe.
And he understands that China and Russia understand that.
And that's why he's smart to go after it.
Anyway, by the way, even we'll play it later in the program.
Our friends Stephen A. and Bill Maher, they're both saying the same thing.
This no ID for voting is ridiculous and stupid.
Do we have any of Scott Bessant and his throwdown yesterday and today?
Linda, let's play some of that.
This should be an easy one, Mr. Secretary.
Can you commit right here and now that Trump's Fed nominee, Kevin Warsh, will not be sued, will not be investigated by the Department of Justice if he doesn't cut interest rates exactly the way that Donald Trump wants?
That is up to the president.
Can you commit that you will not hold the whole cuss and drop interest rates?
And you won't be criminally investigated.
The president also made a joke about you that I won't repeat, Senator Warren.
I was thinking about it.
Well, as it will, he said he had reservation.
If this was a joke, why not just say so?
It was a joke.
And he made a joke about you too, Senator Warren.
Got a lot of laughs.
Got a lot of laughs.
So I don't know if you want to respond to that.
I do want to respond.
I don't think the American people are laughing.
They're the ones who are struggling.
Why don't you tell the nation?
And then we have Maxine Waters and Greg Meeks.
Let's play them.
This is from yesterday, actually.
I mean, just going absolutely bonkers against Secretary Besson who's on Hannity tonight.
Listen.
He had six seconds left to try to answer your question.
It was a yes or no.
It was a yes or no answer.
I asked him, Willie?
And always yes or no.
Stop covering for the president.
Well, stop being his flunky.
Okay.
Gentlemen, gentlemen, he's talking to me.
I'm responding to her 2006 trip to Venezuela.
Stop covering for the president.
Don't be a fucking work for the American people.
Will you be the voice?
Will you be the voice?
Will you be the voice of influence?
Will you be the voice of research?
Will you be the boss of influence?
Highest Taxes Steal 00:00:50
Reclaiming my time.
It was a massive immigration.
Tom does tell 10 and 20 million immigrants housing stock of working Americans.
And can you make this up?
By the way, not only has California won the 5% wealth tax and it's chasing out all the rich people in California, now they want to hit drivers with a new mileage tax because the highest gas taxes, highest sales taxes, and highest income taxes aren't enough.
Unbelievable.
By the way, one California law firm helped offering to help a Native American tribe evict Billy Eilish from the land she says she stole from them.
I want to follow up on that.
This is an iHeart podcast.
