In this episode, we discuss the various current events, focusing on underreported stories, particularly in Minnesota. We tackle the trans attacks on Christians in Minnesota and Tennessee, the nothing news on Thomas Crooks, the lack of justice for Austin Metcalf and others. The lack of media coverage on significant events and the broader issues of accountability within the justice system are sickening. How can we ever get a resolution if we never talk about all the things that happened? We can't forget. If we do, we will never get justice for the victims. @LyndaMick @RogueRecap RogueRecap.com See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
This is The Rogue Recap and you are here with your host, Linda McLaughlin.
She is pissed off, outraged, and has zero patience with what seems to be an epidemic of entitlement and stupidity.
Here we talk about all the things the other shows just don't or won't touch.
Make sure to like and subscribe to her podcast so you never miss an episode.
Well, hey guys, what's up?
It is Thursday, January 22nd when I'm recording this podcast.
Sorry, I missed you yesterday.
I was traveling and I've been traveling last few days and on planes and all the things.
So, but here today, excited to talk to you.
And I'm going to do something a little bit different today.
You know, there's a ton of news out of Davos.
There is a ton of news out of Minnesota.
There is a crap ton of news coming about Iran, what's going on with tariffs.
But I want to talk about all of the news that has happened that we know nothing about.
I did this about five months ago where I went through all of the stories that we cover and they happen and they're like either traumatic or sad or, you know, just crazy breaking news.
And then no resolution.
Nobody goes to jail.
No criminals are found.
Like I feel like there's so many open-ended events that have happened, particularly in the last decade, where they happen and we're so rocked by it.
And then it's like, okay, next.
And things really don't live in the news cycle all that long unless they have tremendous funding, i.e. the raids against ICE that we're seeing in Minnesota, which are actually the same people that funded the George Floyd BLM crap that we saw in 2020.
So Minnesota has a lot of problems, not the least of which is its representation across the board from the Attorney General to the mayor of Minneapolis to the governor of the state.
And so why don't we start there, right?
Because they're a hot mess.
So why not?
So if you guys remember, back in the summer, August of 25, we had a shooting in Minneapolis by a trans who attacked Annunciation Catholic school.
And this dude, pretending to be a girl, left in his manifesto, like the last note that he wrote.
And he was like, I'm tired of the trans crap.
I'm tired of doing it, right?
But he had psycho parents who clearly, instead of supporting him as a human being and telling him that he was created in God's image and he was fine just the way he was, instead thought, hey, why not support putting him on a bunch of drugs and SSRIs and hormones and screwing him up for life?
That'll be fun.
And what happened was, you know, like so many of these trans people, he can't handle what's going on in his body and feels that he's being judged by X, Y, and Z.
And I just want to stop right there.
You know, a lot of us, while we don't agree with what you're doing and how you're living your life, if you're over the age of 18 and you've decided you want to do this crap to your body, have at it.
Do me a favor, leave my kids alone.
Stop talking to me about it.
Stop asking me to recognize you.
I don't give a shit about you.
And for just, you know, a matter of fact, I don't give a shit about anybody because they don't pay my mortgage and they don't pay my bills.
So what you guys aren't understanding in this I want to be recognized group is it's not that we don't care about you because you're trans.
We don't care about you because it's none of our business how you live your life.
The only time you living your life becomes my business is when you make it my business.
For example, trying to put your stupid woke ideology in our schools and brainwash our kids.
You know, you are who you are.
Good for you.
Knock yourself out.
Could you please stop talking to me about it?
I'm so sick of this whole thing that if you are a trans person, if you are a gay person, if you are a black person, a Spanish person, an Asian person, a Muslim person, this is how you identify.
Good for you.
Good for you.
Congratulations.
Could you stop talking to me about it?
I don't care.
Are you able to do good things for other people?
Are you able to pay your bills without siphoning off of the government?
Are you able to give back to the society in which you live and breathe?
Wonderful.
Then I don't have anything to say to you.
However, when you start interfering in my day-to-day life where you assholes want to protest in the street and you want to block things and you want everybody to hear what you have to say, I don't want to hear what you have to say.
I think you're a moron.
So do a lot of other people.
But see, we don't have the time to go out and protest because we're not funded by woke, insane liberal ideologues who made their money in some sort of dark world, underworld.
They're living in these communist havens.
And what you guys don't realize is you're just peons.
You are a pawn in their plan.
They could give a shit less about you.
So why you take a giant dump all over the only country in the world that would allow you to be they, them, she, her, he, his, whatever the hell, walk around and scream and yell how you're oppressed.
You have no idea what oppression is.
You want to know what oppression is?
Be a Christian woman in a Middle Eastern country.
Then come back and talk to me about being oppressed.
All right?
Okay.
So if we look at what happened at the Annunciation Catholic School shooting, you know, we had this horrible event.
We had little children that, you know, got up in their first couple, I think it was their first week of school because it was August 27th.
Catholic schools always go back to school earlier than public schools.
But we had two little kids.
They died, including the perpetrator.
30 other people were injured, 26 school kids, three elderly people.
Why?
Because this guy got up and said, I don't want to be a girl anymore.
I'm really a guy.
I could have told you that.
What, I mean, what happened after that?
Does anybody, do we even hear about this?
Does anybody know anything about what happened to this guy and his family for all of the things that he put everybody through?
Do we know anything about any more from the manifesto?
Do we know anything about the mother that we couldn't find?
Do you guys remember like right after that happened?
The Minneapolis Police Department was getting involved and trying to find, you know, the mom and the father and they're not together.
And the mom actually worked at the school, you know, and it was just all this weird stuff, you know?
We know nothing.
And the thing is, this guy was 23 years old, had been to the school, knew there was little kids there, and went in and did this anyway.
He had YouTube videos.
He talked about, you know, suicide and violent thoughts and, you know, how he laid out like, you know, what he was going to do and the layout of the church.
And he had all these weird videos with him and like the guns and the magazines for the guns.
I mean, just horrible, horrible things, right?
But the media really kind of let it die because he wasn't a conservative.
He wasn't the person that they like to bash every single day.
His videos were, I hate Catholics, I hate Jewish people, I hate Donald Trump.
You know, six million Jews wasn't enough.
I mean, really a disgusting and despicable person.
Now we hear nothing.
So that's one story that we've heard absolutely nothing about that happened yet again in the beautiful city of Minneapolis, where Jacob Fry got to run around and act like a moron and do absolutely nothing.
And of course, then the first thing he does, instead of worrying about Catholics and this horrible event that was taken out, you know, in this disgusting and vengeful act against children because they were Christian, instead of talking about that, he says, I don't want any backlash for the trans community.
What?
What is this constant running to the criminal?
We run to the cartels, we protect the sex offenders, especially in the state of Minnesota.
Is it in the water?
What is going on?
Maybe it's just in Mitt St. Paul and Minneapolis.
I'm not really sure.
I mean, I've talked to a lot of people outside of those two, you know, primary cities, and they're like, absolutely not.
We're Trump supporters.
These people are freaking nuts.
We have no idea why there's so many Somalians here.
I mean, they're as confused as the rest of us, but I digress.
So there's one story we've heard nothing about.
If we think about Thomas Crooks, how about him?
This is the guy that tried to kill President Trump in July of 2024.
We know nothing about Thomas Crooks and what happened in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Like to this day, we know nothing.
No information.
Nothing came out.
This is literally someone who they said was trying to kill the president.
We had all of this information from people that were on the ground that were taking videos and telling local police, hey, there's a dude on that roof.
This is like a flat roof.
We should probably get him down.
I mean, they were trying to talk to police.
You're telling me nobody saw that guy?
You have regular people in this crowd.
They're so excited to see our president.
And then you have literally this psycho trying to kill him.
I mean, and we know nothing.
We know nothing more about Thomas Crooks.
We just know that here he was, this very young, inexperienced person suddenly has no footprint.
We've never interviewed the family, never heard from the family.
Nobody thinks this is weird.
Nobody thinks that maybe there should be some kind of information about this person.
I mean, really, think about how much we know about other murders, right?
Like about people that don't matter.
Like that really sad case that you saw.
I forget where the couple live, but the woman was married previously to like a cardiovascular surgeon.
They got divorced.
She married a dentist and then the surgeon comes and kills them both.
We know where they went to school, when they first got married, their divorce information, what happened, how they have two little kids.
The guy killed the two of them, left them with the two little kids trapped in the, I mean, so many details.
And these are people that nobody knows.
You're telling me that the president of the United States, somebody tried to assassinate him, missed, thank God.
And we know nothing about this guy.
We've never interviewed anyone in the family.
He has no social media footprint.
And that's not weird.
Okay, sure.
That makes perfect sense.
Let's see.
What else have we heard about?
What about the asshole trans shooter in Tennessee?
Remember her?
We haven't heard anything about that case.
Haven't heard anything about what they did to make the school safe again.
Haven't heard anything about her family, why she was dressing up like a dude, what happened.
We heard nothing.
Like it never happened.
Is it because the victim is little kids again, little Christian white kids?
Is that the problem?
We hear nothing.
And then let's think about these scumbags in Minnesota.
We got Keith Ellison.
We got Tim Wolse.
We've got Jacob Fry.
And all of them are corrupt to the core.
They all have vested interest in various other LLCs and companies through their wives and family members and friends for all these little fraud companies.
They got kickbacks and NGOs and super PACs and everything else.
And we don't talk about any of this.
We don't talk about any of the things that are going on.
All of the sudden, all we can talk about are the ICE raids that are happening in Minneapolis.
And all of the sudden, all of the Somalian daycares that had no children, well, now we can't investigate them, right?
Because they're all shut down because of what's happening there.
They just happen to get permission to shut down.
Nobody thinks that's weird.
Nobody's doing a double take on that, saying, hmm, timing on that's a little suspicious.
And what about Austin Metcalf?
What about him?
Football player, senior in high school, murdered by Carmelo Anthony, who stabbed him because he looked at him wrong when he told him not to sit somewhere where he wasn't supposed to sit and touch things he wasn't supposed to touch.
So he stabs him to death.
So the kid who stabs him is black and the victim is white.
And they raise how much money for the black kid because they feel like he's not going to get a fair shake in the justice system.
I got news for you.
He stabbed somebody and murdered him with a knife in the middle of a football field in front of his twin brother.
And the kid bled out and died.
What justice does he deserve?
The justice is for the victim.
Weston Metcalf is the person we're looking for justice for.
What justice does Carmelo Anthony deserve?
What am I missing?
This whole idea that people are not supposed to be punished because they haven't done something bad enough or they are a certain color or they're a certain gender or they're from a certain background.
I mean, there's got to be some point where we go, no, you committed a crime.
I mean, isn't that the reason why we have laws and why we have a justice system?
And in a case like that, this kid murdered him.
He stabbed him to death.
There are many eyewitnesses.
It's really not up for debate.
And people are raising money for the murderer.
I don't give it.
There's so much of this all the time.
Look at the Secret Service agent that we just found out.
This guy has been put on leave.
He hasn't been fired.
He has been put on leave after divulging all of this information about the vice president and saying how much he hates the vice president and talking about where the vice president was and where his family was and where his kids were.
Vice Incident Shocks00:01:33
That's not a problem.
Are you telling me that if that had happened to Kamala Harris or Joe Biden when he was with Obama?
Are you telling me that they would have let that go?
Of course they wouldn't.
But because it's J.D. Evans, it's like, well, you know, everybody hates Republicans.
What?
You take an oath as a Secret Service agent to protect and serve with your life.
And now we got this guy disclosing all of this private information?
I don't know.
I don't know how he gets placed on leave.
Shouldn't he be fired?
Doesn't there need to be some sort of overhaul of the whole system when things like this happen?
And not to mention the fact that just this month, the vice president had an incident at his home in Ohio where they're smashing his windows.
There's so much news.
There's so much to cover.
And there's so much that's not accounted for.
The accountability in this nation is a massive issue.
This to me is probably one of the biggest problems we face as a nation, is that people don't think they should be held accountable.
And then the people on the outside that have nothing to do with it don't think that people should be held accountable either.
Hope and Accountability00:00:52
Or are we just a lawless, ruleless society?
Because I got news for you guys.
That's not going to work.
It's just not going to work.
I'm going to keep following these stories.
I hope one of them finally comes with a solution, an answer, a resolution, and someone actually going to jail for crimes that they commit and actually being held accountable.
Because maybe if other criminals saw them getting held accountable, maybe they wouldn't do the same thing.
I don't know.
I know it's a novel thought.
