This is an iHeart podcast.
Guaranteed human.
Thanks to all of you for being with us.
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving and left lots of doggy bags, doggy, doggy bags for your liberal relatives, as Linda suggested.
Although I guarantee you, she didn't leave one doggy bag on her front steps and tell a relative that you're not allowed in, but I'll leave you a doggy bag because I hate your politics.
Well, I hope the discussion, though, helps some people.
You didn't leave one, did you?
You didn't.
Just tell me you did not do that.
Jason, do you want to hit the breaking news sounder for me?
Well, that's going to take forever.
All right.
So what's the point?
The point is you absolutely did not do it.
You're going to lie and tell me you did not.
I did do it.
You did not do that.
All right.
We'll get into this later in the program.
We got a lot coming up today, not the least of which I'm going to talk about the National Guard's people, 20-year-old National Guardswomans who was shot and killed, why this is happening, the rhetoric of the radical left and how extreme it has gotten.
I spoke to the parents of a 24-year-old Anthony, and he is clinging to dear life.
We have an update on his condition.
I'll get to in a second as well.
There is a special election in Nashville, the seventh congressional district there.
Later, we will talk to the Republican candidate Matt Van Epps, and he's with Speaker Johnson today.
My understanding is the president called in to an event that they were doing.
It is hard to imagine.
I'm actually glad that this has taken on some national attention only in recent days, really, because Democrats have poured tens and tens of millions of dollars into Nashville.
I know Nashville well.
I lived in Athens, Alabama, which is right down 65.
I think it's about an hour, hour and so on minutes to Nashville.
I used to go to Nashville all the time, Music City, USA.
One of the great honors of my life is I got to host the grand old Opry and spent many years at the Gay Lord and Opry.
I mean, the Grand Ole Opry is just, it's history.
He's going up against a candidate that is running on nothing.
I mean, that is so radical.
I'm shocked that this is even an issue for discussion in Nashville.
And if you're in Nashville or have friends and family in Nashville, please give them a call and make sure that they go out and vote tomorrow because in these off-year elections, turnout is everything.
And I don't think most people, I think now it might be hitting the consciousness of the people of Nashville who this Afton Ben is.
Anyway, she's just a radical leftist who's really running on nothing.
She's going to shake up Washington.
That's what she says in every ad.
The issues section has next to nothing.
I fully commit to eliminating Super PAC.
She's supported by the Democratic Socialists of America.
Those are the people that endorsed Mamdani.
She herself endorsed Mamdani.
You know, if you look at her background, her job, oh, she was a community organizer.
This sound familiar and not only a community organizer, social worker, she also said that she got inspired to get into politics, get ready for it.
Sounds familiar by Saul Alinsky's rules for radicals that she discovered in her college library while a grad student and spent innumerable hours into planning, protesting, strategizing, canvassing, lobbying, and advocating.
That is her big background.
She was removed from the Tennessee State Gallery in 2019 for interrupting proceedings during a protest over gun violence.
She's a self-described trans organizer and activist.
She says she spent time with others discussing on how to develop a world without any police.
Nashville, you paying attention?
It even gets more extreme.
I mean, this is a lady on tape saying she hates the city that she's running to represent.
I have it, the audio.
I hate Nashville.
I hate, can you imagine in Nashville, Music City, USA?
I hate country music.
This is the Democratic radical running in Nashville.
Listen, I've been heavily involved with the Nashville mayoral race because I hate the city.
I hate the Bachelorettes.
I hate the pedal taverns.
I hate country music.
I hate all of the things that make Nashville barely an exciting to the rest of the country.
But I hate it.
And she was involved in a seminar centered around a world without police.
I'll play that later in the program today.
But I mean, she just hates her home.
She says, you know, it's unacceptable for her to be around people that have Christian values.
Says she has a recurring dream where she stands up in a cafeteria screaming at the top of her lungs, I don't want children.
I want power.
He puts on social media, good morning, especially to the 54% of Americans that believe burning down a police station is justified.
He admits I'm a very radical person.
He said, rioting is a way for people to express themselves.
This is great.
We've got our girl squad.
We're bullying the ICE vehicles and the state troopers.
She called for the Nashville Metropolitan Police Department to be dissolved.
And the key to organizing is maintaining steady pressure on those in power so they can't ignore you or become complacent.
For decades, I've been at the heart of a long-term political project to take back Tennessee.
Is that who you want in Nashville, Tennessee?
Now, there's only one way.
This is where it gets a little scary.
And this is a preview of what's going to happen when we come back on the air after Christmas holidays.
I know everyone starts getting in after Thanksgiving in a Christmas holiday mode, et cetera, et cetera.
You know, you want time with your family and your friends, et cetera.
But we are going to head into 2026.
And I'm going to tell you the minute I come on the air in the new year exactly what is at stake in this year, meaning 2026.
And I'm giving, and this is a preview of what's happening in Nashville tomorrow.
If you have friends, family, if you live in Nashville, you have co-workers, neighbors, get out and vote.
I know people tend to be complacent during these off-year elections.
Don't be complacent.
If you elect this radical in Nashville, Tennessee, you'll have nobody but yourself to blame.
And you've been warned.
The saddest thing that happened over the vacation was the shooting of these two National Guardsmen in Washington, D.C.
It is so sad.
It is so preventable.
And there's nobody that's going to convince me that the insightful rhetoric against ICE, ICE agents doing their job did not contribute to what happened.
And by the way, if you want some statistics, I have some for you.
In all the coverage, I noticed in last week and the attacks on our National Guard heroes, one dead, a 20-year-old woman, and one 24-year-old.
And I talked to his mother last night.
I think she's going to join us on TV tonight.
I didn't hear anyone mention the miracle that they've managed to perform in D.C. Even the Democratic, pretty radical mayor, Muriel Bowser, is grateful for Donald Trump for helping to protect her city.
And how many of you might have heard about the remarkable accomplishments of National Guard heroes, including U.S. Army Special Sarah Beckstrom, who gave her life to keep Washington, D.C. safe, or U.S. Air Force Staff Sergeant Andrew Wolf, who's now, you know, according to the governor, he was asked if he can hear him and he wiggled his toes today.
He is clinging to life.
I talked to his mother and I talked, you know, the coolest thing is a lot of the guardsmen are now volunteering their time after they work all day to guard the family and protect their fellow guardsmen.
And there are dozens of D.C. residents that are alive today because of the heroic actions and basic common sense policing because violence had gotten so out of control in our nation's capital.
And if you look at D.C. and the violence there and the shootings in D.C., it has plummeted a staggering 62% because President Trump believes in law and order and safety and security as a prerequisite towards the pursuit of happiness.
And the homicide rate in D.C. is down a whopping 70%.
And I say that at the start of all of this.
And there is no way, you know, when we look at the individual involved, which I'm going to get into here, and when I give you numbers and statistics, you've got to pay attention to this.
All of this could have been prevented.
I have been on these airwaves and I've been on TV regularly warning people that what Biden Harris and Mayorkas have done to this country has put every American at risk.
They have allowed into our country known terrorists, known murderers, rapists, other violent criminals, cartel members, gang members, drug dealers, and it's a matter of when, not if, there's going to be tragedies.
This is one of them.
And then when we look very specifically at the case of the vetting in terms of allowing these Afghan nationals, now, if you remember the debacle that happened at Kabul International Airport, go back to when Donald Trump was president.
In interview after interview, he has said, he said to me, he told the story before he would even consider American troops pulling out.
He called the leader of the Taliban and he said, if you move one inch, I will know and you will die.
And said it would not be tolerated.
And then in the lead up to the pullout, the Taliban was on the march and Joe Biden didn't do a thing.
And then they had to speed up a hasty exit out of there.
We saw the results.
What was it?
12 people that died at Kabul airport, American troops, and he abandoned Americans behind enemy lines.
And we did make promises to Afghan nationals that had helped us, that we would help them.
We didn't say they'd come to America, but we were told that they vetted them.
It turns out just like the big lie that the border's closed, the border's secure.
Well, they told other big lies, and I'll play this in the course of this hour.
You know, Jen Circleback Saki.
I can absolutely assure you that no one is coming into the U.S. who has not been through a thorough screening and background process.
Alejandro Mayorkas.
I have multiple cuts of him, you know, saying that the vetting of Afghan evacuees is robust, and him saying how proud they are of the Afghan refugee program at a House hearing.
Well, it turns out that not only did they not properly vet them, they allowed over 76,000 Afghanis unvetted into the country.
6,868 were flagged for derogatory information.
Let me translate that.
That they could represent a clear and present danger to you, the American people.
They let them in anyway.
Over 5,000 were flagged for national security concerns.
They let them in anyway.
Nearly 1,000 flagged for fraud.
They let them in anyway.
Nearly 1,000 flagged for public safety problems and risks.
They allowed them in anyway.
You know, we still have over 1,000 cases open, and we have 885 that we know of national security risks that Biden, Harris, and Mayorkas allowed into this country.
You know, this has been, and this remains, a ticking time bomb for our nation.
And it is absolutely preventable.
Now, we lost this young 20-year-old National Guardswoman, this woman that was willing to put her life on the line and protect people.
They're both from West Virginia.
And we now have one other guardsman, 24, clinging to dear life at this very time.
This was a preventable tragedy.
Foreign terrorists that Biden and company failed to properly vet ambushing these two West Virginia National Guards people.
They were successfully keeping the people of Washington, D.C. safe.
And it is unconscionable that this has been allowed to happen.
And there are going to be more attacks against our homeland when you allow known terrorists and known murderers and rapists and you don't vet people and you let them into our country and then you lie to the American people and you tell them that the border's closed and you lie to the American people and say these refugees have been vetted and they haven't been.
This is the predictable outcome.
Tens of thousands evacuated in the wake of this hasty, ridiculous, insane withdrawal of Biden.
And then they assure us everything's going to be okay.
And then the next predictable thing is they want to blame Donald Trump for their failure.
That's the worst news that happened.
We're going to play some of the promises and reassurances we got coming up.
And I'm predicting right now, and I pray to God that I'm wrong, but it's not going to be the last.
But it is going to continue to happen.
The national security, the preventable national security threat that has been thrust upon this nation by open borders Biden, Harris, Mayorkas, and the lies they told us is unprecedented.
And that's why it makes this next story a little bit that much more impressive.
America's homicide rate is now dropped thanks to the new FBI.
I'm not sure why everyone wants to go after Kash Patel, Dan Bongino, and Pam Bondi all the time because if this ever happened in a Democratic administration, they'd be touting this all over the world.
But remember, they're the defund dismantle, reimagine the police, no-bail law party.
But he said the FBI is going to be releasing murder rate statistics this month in December, actually, which will be the lowest it's been in modern history by double digits.
Approximately 17,000 people murdered in the U.S. in 2024, representing a drop of about 15% from the prior year, but an increase of nearly 7% from 2015.
Now, we are over double the amount of arrests of violent offenders this calendar year, thanks to the policing of them.
He also says it includes the recovery of approximately 6,000 children by the FBI this year, a 25% increase from 2024.
They recorded 40% more espionage arrests, including from China, Russia, Iran.
I mean, they're actually working, trying to get their job done in spite of never-ending criticism.
But let me get back to this issue of what happened here.
This has been a ticking time bomb for a long time.
Just like the, you know, whatever the number is, 12 million unvetted Harris Biden mayorca illegals that they've let into the country, the big lie that the border is closed and the border is secure.
We played that over and over again.
This, too, is a ticking time bomb because you had, you know, nearly 100,000, you know, Afghan refugees.
I mean, it was a disaster.
If you go back in time, you know, it was Josh Hawley in 22 revealed that a whistleblower said 324 individuals had entered with derogatory information while a 2022 report from the Department of Homeland Security and Office of Inspector General found the department failed to properly vet these Afghan evacuees entering the U.S., presenting a massive security threat.
Individuals that were not being recommended to come here were being overridden by the Biden State Department.
And the Office of Inspector General noted that during the evacuation, the Pentagon moved Afghan evacuees to a network of temporary staging in other countries.
They stayed there for a couple of days or weeks, and there was rapid screening, and there was no real vetting that took place.
So is it any surprise that, you know, in spite of having people flagged for derogatory information, flagged as national security threats, flagged for fraudulent applications, flagged as a public safety threat, and we still have all these people in the country.
We don't know who they are, where they are.
Well, what do you think is going to happen?
It's not good.
The Afghan terrorists who gunned down our National Guard members entered the U.S. under a program that Team Biden pledged would be swift and secure.
Department of Homeland Security, under Joe Biden, promised swiftly and safely to resettle Afghan allies into the U.S. Meanwhile, remember that the hasty withdrawal that resulted in 13 dead Americans.
I said 12 before.
It's 13.
13 dead Americans.
And it was a direct result of their failure.
They allowed over 5,000 to pour into the country, even though they were identified as specific national security threats.
Why would you ever let those people in this country?
Another Biden-backed Afghan terror threat we found out after this incident happened last week.
Investigators said an Afghan national who made a social media post about building a bomb and threatening to blow up a building in Fort Worth, Texas.
Anyway, put in an expo, posted a video of himself on TikTok indicating he was building a bomb with an intended target in a Fort Worth area.
Thankfully, they were able to find that and arrest that guy.
But this entire network has just gotten completely out of control.
This was a botched, you know, hasty withdrawal from the get-go, one of the most embarrassing moments in history.
Joe Biden allowed the Taliban to march all the way through Afghanistan up into Kabul, and 13 American heroes were murdered at that airport at that time, and Americans were abandoned.
And yeah, we did make promises to Afghans that helped us during the 20-year run we were there, which is why we should never have forever wars because they don't work.
The Trump doctrine works perfectly well, as evidenced by Soleimani, Baghdadi, the ISIS Caliphate, the mother of all bombs in Afghanistan.
And last I checked, Iran still had their nuclear program wiped out.
That'd be a far better national security strategy for our country.
Now, the Trump administration is re-examining, rightly so, all the Afghans that Biden allowed into the country.
The president has already permanently paused migration of foreign nationals from third world countries that pose a potential risk to our country and the people and the citizenry of our country.
You know, I mean, it is so self-destructive.
This is a predictable outcome.
New York Times reported on this idiot governor, Tim Walz, and how Somalian migrants defrauded nearly a billion dollars taxpayer-funded dollars and benefits under Wall's leadership, and the president's trying to clean up this mess that they left.
I won't replay the many times we've replayed all the times they told us the border's secure and the border's closed.
But I will play for you: Circle Back Jen Saki of MSDNC fame on the Afghan refugees, and she absolutely assuring every American that no one is coming into the U.S. who has not been through a thorough screening and background process.
All of this is a complete lie.
Listen.
There are, of course, concerns among lawmakers, experts who have tracked us the same previous arrivals of large numbers of refugees from different parts of the world.
And the other way, there may be a handful, small handful, who are eventually deemed a security risk of some kind.
What reassurances can you make about the screening process and the attempts to make sure that somebody like that doesn't make his or her way here?
I can absolutely assure you that no one is coming into the United States of America who has not been through a thorough screening and background check process.
And there are many individuals, as you noted, who have not been through that process.
And they have gone to lily pad countries as that process has been completed.
The lily pad countries turned out to be a fraudulent program, also, because they were let into the country.
Again, just like all the illegals, 12, whatever the number is between gotaways and the people we know that came in.
Remember, it was Biden that was sending bulldozers to open up fences that were built to allow illegals into the country.
And Alejandro Mayorkis out there, the vetting of Afghan evacuees is robust, not so robust, it turns out.
Listen.
Operation Allies Welcome is the ongoing effort to bring Americans home and to bring vulnerable Afghans to the United States and support their resettlement.
First, the federal government has been focused on the screening and vetting of individuals evacuated from Afghanistan.
The Department of Homeland Security remains ever vigilant against attempts by foreign adversaries to exploit vulnerable populations as a means of gaining access to the U.S. for nefarious purposes.
We have a robust screening and vetting process.
If and when we obtain derogatory information, we know how to address that.
Those muscles are very well exercised.
In fact, we have, and we deny access to individuals whose derogatory information is not resolved, and we do not feel confident in the safety and security of the American people.
Uh-huh.
Here's more Mayorkas saying, you know, how proud they are of the Afghan refugee program.
You're referring to what we termed Operation Allies Welcome, a program that we are very proud of, that we instituted to provide refuge for individuals, many of whom...
Will you be reviewing those on...
They came in on parole.
Will you be reviewing them on a case-by-case basis?
We reviewed them on a case-by-case basis, and when those parole periods are subject to renewal, we will do so.
It certainly is.
Operation Allies Welcome, which we led in a coordinated effort across the government, is a great source of pride for us to bring to safety in the United States individuals who stood alongside our armed forces in Afghanistan.
We support the Adjustment Act, and we are indeed looking at the period of parole, its upcoming expiration, and whether indeed that should be extended.
You still proud of it today, Mr. Mayorkas?
Are you proud?
We tragically lost U.S. Army specialist Sarah Bextrom.
She was only 20 years old.
She died of her wounds.
Andrew Wolfe, 24 years old, both from the West Virginia National Guard, is clinging to life severely wounded.
Our prayers are with him and his family.
I spoke to his mom last night.
I mean, they're just, it is, they're devastated.
How would you feel?
But the big lies, the lies continue.
And what is the left's response to this?
Oregon's governor, leftist governor, you know, Tina Kotek threatening to investigate and prosecute federal agents who enforce U.S. immigration laws.
And what about the rhetoric of the left?
You know, if you remember, let's go back in time.
Elise Slotkin claiming the National Guard was about to start shooting American civilians.
You might recall this.
Look at these videos coming out of places like Chicago.
It makes me incredibly nervous that we're about to see people in law enforcement, people in uniformed military get nervous, get stressed, shoot at American civilians.
It is a very, very stressful situation for these law enforcement and for the communities on the ground.
Yeah, you have a Dante Mills, Democratic strategist, saying, you know, 500 more National Guard troops in D.C., that might create more targets for these radicals.
Listen.
Well, I think the president is going to, and his administration is going to use this incident to further their cause of having these guardsmen on the street.
The issue that we have is if you add 500 people to this equation or 500 soldiers, it doesn't, it wouldn't have stopped what happened today.
He walked up on soldiers and opened fire.
It would have just been more targets there.
These people are there.
Their assignment is high visibility patrol.
So people know where they are.
They're uniformed.
So people know what they look like.
And if they want to approach them or harm them, they're in harm's way.
So why add to that and put more people in harm's way when it wouldn't have changed the outcome in this particular matter?
Claudia Tenney, Congresswoman New York.
National Guard shooting result of Democratic rhetoric.
How could it not be?
Elise Slotkin demonizing National Guard troops three days before they're shot, you know, in Washington, D.C. You know, look at the videos coming out of places like Chicago.
It makes me nervous.
We're about to see people in law enforcement, uniformed military get nervous, get stressed, and shoot at Americans.
Oh, well, they're the ones getting shot.
And what I won't even play for you, we have it, but it is so bad what you hear on social media.
And it is so sick, and it is so twisted, and it is so disgusting, and it is so ugly what the radical left is doing.
They're celebrating this as they always do.
I have said for the longest time: it's not a matter of if, it is when.
This is one of the whens.
There'll be many more when's.
And I always add, I pray to God I'm wrong.
But when you let in unvetted refugees from Afghanistan the way they did, and you let in millions of unvetted illegals the way they did from over 200 countries, including countries with known terror ties, and stuff like what has been happening happens, you should not be shocked or surprised.
It's as simple as A squared, B squared, C squared, one plus two, one plus one equals two, and that's it.
This is predictable and preventable.
Unbelievable.
But they're trying to say, well, Pete Hegset ordered a, you know, we need war crimes.
He said, kill everybody.
Does anybody remember the Washington Post?
You know, they did this story.
Anyone remember back in August of 2021, 10 members of one family, including seven children, dead after a Biden drone strike targeting a vehicle in a residential neighborhood in Kabul?
Yeah, they were dead.
I don't remember the media getting all worked up over war crimes.
