Sept. 23, 2025 - Sean Hannity Show
33:33
Moses Of Our Time - September 22nd, Hour 1

The political and cultural shockwave from Charlie Kirk's assassination continues to ripple across America, with memorials, passionate tributes, and fierce public debate. Sean Hannity frames this moment as a historic tipping point not only for the conservative movement, but for the entire nation. Key moments include Erica Kirk's public forgiveness of the shooter, President Trump's stirring eulogy, and the highly anticipated reunion of Trump and Elon Musk, an alliance Kirk himself had worked to broker. Special guest insights, such as Pastor Rob McCoy's comparison of Kirk to a "Moses of our time," highlight Kirk's profound influence. Why it matters: the tragedy spotlights deep societal divides, the enduring power of faith-driven leadership, and the increasing polarization surrounding American public discourse.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

If you run through the worst of times, this too shall pass.
And things are going to get better.
If you run through the best of times, though, it's really humbling.
Like this too shall pass and this will fade away because this will not last forever.
So I love that.
Yeah, exactly.
So it's a time-transcendent truth that applies towards all periods as an entrepreneur.
It humbles you when you need it and builds you up when you need it, gives you hope when you need it.
And also gives you a little bit of a dose of a gun check.
Freedom is back in style.
Welcome to the revolution.
Yeah, we're coming to your city.
Gonna play our guitars and sing you a country song.

If you want to be a part of the program, speaking to so many people, it is so clear that these 12 days since Charlie's been assassinated, politically assassinated, have I the only way I can describe it,
it has had such an impact on this country that the magnitude of what this moment ultimately means at this moment in history is incalculable.
But this is definitely a tipping point moment for not just a generation, but for a country.
And I just, there's so many different aspects of this to talk about, and we will in the course of the program today.
But it is a testament to him that was on full display yesterday, really, really playing out the faith that guided both Charlie and Erica.
I thought it was so deep and profound for a nation to hear Erica Kirk yesterday forgiving the shooter that killed Charlie because that's what Charlie would want.
Listen.
He wanted to save young men just like the one who took his life, that young man.
That young man.
On the cross, our Savior said, Father, forgive them, for they not know what they do.
That man, that young man, I forgive him.
I forgive him because it was what Christ did and is what Charlie would do.
The answer to hate is not hate.
The answer we know from the gospel is love and always love.
Love for our enemies and love for those who persecute us.
I mean, you know, there's one thing to proclaim yourself a Christian.
And I often have said and believe that Christianity or people that profess to be Christians are usually often misunderstood.
If you really want to be a Christian, the first thing that you have to admit to yourself is that you're a failure and that you have sinned and that you have fallen short and that you are seeking help and salvation.
And that is where the faith and belief and life of Jesus Christ comes in for Christians.
That is the beauty of Christianity.
And it's often taken all self-righteous and it's just misunderstood by so many people.
I think purposely so many, many times.
But to ultimately say that in this moment, 11 days after your husband was assassinated in front of you and your children is a whole different ballgame.
And that's really truly living out your faith, which is a testament to her and Charlie and all that we know about them.
I think another incredible moment is when Erica described, again, part of her Christian faith, which is the faith that I believe in.
Charlie blinked, saw his Savior in paradise.
The Bible tells us, you know, the moment when Jesus was being crucified, it was one guy on one side of him, spitting at him and saying, well, if you're really the Savior, then, you know, get us down from this cross and save all of us.
And another guy turned to him and said, I deserve what I'm getting.
I deserve to be murdered.
I deserve to be crucified.
You don't.
And Jesus, even in that moment, suffering as he was, turned to him and said, this day you will be with me in paradise.
You know, the Bible says the eye hath not seen, nor hath the ear heard, nor has it entered into the hearts of man.
What God has prepared for those that love the truth.
And as Christians, we all believe that.
And this is how Erica Kirk described it.
I also saw on his lips the faintest smile.
And that told me something important.
It revealed to me a great mercy from God in this tragedy.
When I saw that, it told me Charlie didn't suffer.
Even the doctor told me there was something so instant that even if Charlie had been shot in the operating room itself, nothing could have been done.
There was no faint.
There was no fear.
No agony.
One moment Charlie was doing what he loved, arguing and debating on campus, fighting for the gospel and truth in front of a big crowd.
And then he blinked.
And saw his savior in paradise.
And all the heavenly mysteries were revealed to him.
President Trump giving a very impactful speech.
We will never forget Charlie Kirk, and neither will history.
Listen.
Because today, America is a nation in grief, a nation in shock, and a nation in mourning.
Less than two weeks ago, our country was robbed of one of the brightest lights of our times, a giant of his generation, and above all, a devoted husband, father, son, Christian, and patriot.
Charles James Kirk was heinously murdered by a radicalized, cold-blooded monster for speaking the truth that was in his heart.
He was violently killed because he spoke for freedom and justice, for God, country, for reason, and for common sense.
He was assassinated because he lived bravely.
He led boldly, and he argued brilliantly without apology.
He did what was right for our nation.
And so on that terrible day, September 10th, 2025, our greatest evangelist for American liberty became immortal.
He's a martyr now for American freedom.
I know I speak for everyone here today when I say that none of us will ever forget Charlie Kirk, and neither now will history.
And that Charlie Kirk had been reunited with his creator in heaven.
And Erica Kirk has been a comfort for millions of people.
The president, I thought, gave one of his best speeches.
It was deep.
It was powerful.
It was profound.
They had an overflow crowd, tens of thousands in a neighboring arena and other places around the country.
And all of those moments we all got to see.
Also got to see Elon Musk and Donald Trump come together at this.
And, you know, one of the interesting side notes to that is that that was something that Charlie himself had predicted would happen.
And I had hoped it would happen, wasn't sure it would happen, but I definitely wanted it to happen.
But he did predict that this reconciliation would take place.
And he says he was working to get President Trump and Elon Musk back together.
He said, I know both these guys.
I'm hopeful.
I'm optimistic.
We'll do everything I possibly can to try and bring them back together.
In the end, Kirk succeeded in bringing Trump and Musk together because they were together yesterday.
And I think some of the analysis, I thought Rob McCoy, his pastor, who will be on Hannity tonight, is speaking at this memorial where he reflected on his legacy and the impact he left behind.
He said, he was in a sense of a Moses in our time.
Again, it's really at this moment, the magnitude of what has happened here is incalculable.
We do have on the investigative front Cash Patel saying the FBI is investigating whether Charlie Kirk's assassin had accomplices investigating visitors to the alleged shooter's residence in the hours and days leading up to September 10th.
We did have one report last week that a lot of out-of-state license plates had showed up.
That has not been confirmed by anybody that I know in law enforcement.
I've talked to people, but Patel has said that we are meticulously investigating theories and questions, including the location from where the shot was taken, the possibility of accomplices, the text message, confession, related conversations, these Discord chats,
Discord being kind of like a bulletin board online for gamers mostly, the angle of the shot, the impact of the bullet, how the weapon was transported, hand gestures observed as potential signals near Charlie at the time of the assassination, visitors to the alleged shooter's residence.
I mean, they're leaving no stone unturned here, and I give them all the credit in the world.
And as I said, you know, they got this guy in 33 hours, and in the early hours, people were just hammering the FBI and the DOJ.
And I'm like, I know Pam Bondi for 30 years.
I've known Cash forever.
I've known Dan Bongino forever, and I always had faith in them.
And then, you know, in the worst of times, you get the best out of people.
And we saw that yesterday on display in Glendale, Arizona.
And we heard from the best of people, led by Erica Kirk and led by President Trump and so many members of his cabinet and so many others that spoke.
And then we've got really horrible, you know, and this rage, this hatred, this insanity of the left that exists.
You know, there were protesters outside of the arena carrying a trans pride flag.
Another had a sign reading, rot in hell.
And I know it's inappropriate place to protest.
That's why I'm doing it.
One woman telling Fox News Digital, bad things happen to bad people, she added.
And then, of course, you know, you've got the usual suspects, the predictable suspects.
You got the Congresswoman Omars sharing a video saying Kirk was Dr. Frankenstein and his monster shot through his neck.
Is this supposed to be funny?
These are the so-called, quote, leaders of the Democratic Party.
Is this something that you're proud of saying and making accusations?
I'll play some of it.
By the way, Phil Mickelson was so angry about it.
He went on X saying, hope she's sent back to Somalia soon.
Then the Congresswoman going on MSDNC and then being asked how she's holding up.
You know, even if you don't like somebody, you know, and this is a guy that was called fascist and all these names.
And he'd go, prove me wrong.
Open a microphone.
How do you call somebody who's opening up a microphone to you and willing to have a dialogue with you in an environment that he's walking into that he knows is going to be hostile and then gives you the microphone and then says, okay, prove me wrong.
You're a racist or a fascist.
And then they don't have an answer to it, so they just keep calling him names.
And then you have, I mean, you really are watching the insane decline of the radical left.
This is now the mainstream of the Democratic Party.
And I'll play some of the comments in the course of this hour.
AOC, Jasmine Crockett, you know, the predictable list.
Joe Manchin, he said they're not getting it.
I don't know what's going on with Cavin Newsom, sadly, out in California.
Trying to have a discussion with him.
There's no talking to the guy.
I don't know.
He lost it.
You know, I'll tell you what he did later in the program.
And it is, you know, the best of times, you see the best in people, and then you see the predictable worst in people.
And, you know, and as far as all this talk of all they want to talk about, Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Kimmel, I don't care what ABC does with Jimmy Kimmel.
No conservative started an effort to get Jimmy Kimmel fired.
I don't call for anybody's firing.
I don't call for anybody's cancellation.
I don't call for any boycotts.
The things that have happened to me and to other conservatives has been going on for decades.
And nobody seems to care on the left ever.
All right, 800-941, Sean, if you want to be a part of the program, we will get to your calls coming up here today.
I know a lot of you have a lot to say.
The events have really impacted pretty much everybody that I know.
And you see the heart and the soul and the conscience of good people, and then you see the insanity of bad people.
Hey there, I'm Mary Catherine Hamm.
And I'm Carol Markowitz.
We've been in political media for a long time.
Long enough to know that it's gotten, well, a little insane.
That's why we started Normally, a podcast for people who are over the hysteria and just want clarity.
We talk about the issues that actually matter to the country without panic, without yelling, and with a healthy dose of humor.
We don't take ourselves too seriously, but we do take the truth seriously.
So if you're into common sense, sanity, and some occasional sass, you're our kind of people.
Catch new episodes of Normally every Tuesday and Thursday on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you listen.
You know, I mentioned that you have, you know, these lunatics that showed up outside of this service that took place, this memorial yesterday.
I mean, well over 100,000 people when you add the overflow in an adjacent stadium.
And, you know, here'd be rotten hell.
Bad things happen to bad people, et cetera, et cetera.
I don't know where these people are coming from.
And you have Congresswoman Omar sharing a video saying that Kirk was Dr. Frankenstein and his monster shot him through the neck.
Kirk was Frankenstein.
His monster shot him through the neck because there were a lot of things in the video that I did agree with.
And she goes on to say, obviously, we share videos.
We don't have to agree with every single word, but I do believe he was a reprehensible, hateful man.
He didn't believe that we should have equal access to anything.
He also just didn't believe that I could be smart enough.
I have thoughts that could equal, that could be equal to a white man.
I don't even, what is she even talking about?
Goes on with Caitlin Collins and then turns it, you think I have the brain power, you know, processing power like you or a white man?
Where does this come from?
I do believe he was a reprehensible, hateful man.
Like that is my view of the words that he has said about every single identity that I belong to.
He didn't believe that we should have equal access to anything.
He also just didn't even believe I could be smart enough.
I could have thoughts that could be equal to a white man.
Where are we missing this conversation about who this man was and the things that he said?
How do you not, do you not find that reprehensible, Caitlin?
Well, of you at all.
Do you think that's to that?
But do you think I don't have the brain processing power like you or a white man?
Well, of course not.
And I think it's very clear here that somebody said that, then I don't say that that would be reprehensible views.
I think her views are reprehensible.
How's that?
Charlie Kirk's legacy belongs in the dustbin of history.
More Congresswoman Omar.
Now understand, this is a leading member of Congress, part of the all-powerful squad, which everybody seems intimidated by.
Listen.
What I find jarring is that there are so many people willing to excuse the most reprehensible things that he said, that they agree with that, that they're willing to have monuments for him, that they want to create a day to honor him, and that they want to produce resolutions in the House of Congress honoring his life and legacy.
It is one thing to care about his life because obviously so many people loved him, including his children and life.
But I am not going to sit here and be judged for not wanting to honor any legacy this man has left behind.
That should be in the dustpin of history, and we should hopefully move on and forget the hate that he spewed every single day.
What have I been telling you?
And it was evident during the joint session speech, Democrats, I declared when they wouldn't stand for Lake and Riley's family and Jocelyn Nungari's family and this young man that had beaten cancer and became a Secret Service agent.
I said, this is a party that's lost their heart, their conscience, and their soul.
Now let's go to the leader of the squad, AOC, calling Charlie Kirk, after his assassination, ignorant.
Today's resolution only underscores the majority's recklessness by choosing to author this condemnation and honoring on a purely partisan basis, instead of uniting Congress in this tragedy with one of the many bipartisan options to condemn political violence and Kirk's murder, as we did with the late Melissa Hortman.
Instead, the majority proceeded with a resolution that brings great pain to the millions of Americans who endured segregation, Jim Crow, and the legacy of bigotry today.
We should be clear about who Charlie Kirk was.
His rhetoric and beliefs were ignorant, uneducated, and sought to disenfranchise millions of Americans, far from the working, quote, working tirelessly to promote unity, unquote, asserted by the majority in this resolution.
Then, of course, like Congresswoman Omar goes up on MSDNC and a host.
Oh, how are you holding up?
I'm like, this is insane.
Joe Manchin, I think, captured it best in the wake of all of these comments.
He was referring to AOC in this particular instance, saying, you know, proof that the Democratic Party is getting worse, that they are not getting better.
And, you know, going on to say that it's his belief that, you know, that's where the party, the Democratic Party is today.
And that's why I'm telling you why they're losing people like me and a lot of other people.
You know, she, you know, AOC wrongly invoking the Civil Rights Act to smear Charlie Kirk.
The tragic laws of Charlie Kirk must not be allowed to deepen the divides in our nation.
He was assassinated.
You know, we can't have a discussion without, of course, Jasmine Crockett.
You know, this never-ending refrain, which I believe results in, has a dehumanizing effect, which is Nazi, racist, fascist, Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini.
You know, Jasmine Crockett is asked to walk it back.
She won't do it.
I think that my responsibility is to be transparent and to be honest.
And the reality is that we are living in a time in which this administration and this regime is not interested in making sure that people understand history.
We need to understand why they are so problematic.
And so I am using that language because it is accurate language.
When we see the consolidation of power, when we see them trying to chill speech of jokesters, when we're seeing all of this, that is a playbook out of Hitler, and I won't deny it.
The reason Jimmy Kimmel got fired is because his company fired him.
There was no organized effort by conservatives to do it.
And I don't really care what ABC does, to be very honest.
ABC, you know, they've hurt their own selves.
If you lose 72% of your audience and you want to keep this guy that's supposed to be a late-night comic who's not funny, then go ahead.
I don't care.
You know, I have choices in life.
Anyway, and then Crockett goes on.
Charlie Kirk continuously put out there was rhetoric specifically targeting people of color.
These things they're saying is just false.
I hope Erica Kirk considers some type of lawsuit against some of these people.
It's unfortunate our own colleagues don't see this.
And apparently she was upset over the notion or the idea blasting, quote, Caucasian House Democrats voting for a resolution to honor Charlie Kirk.
There were two of them.
Not like there are a lot of them.
And I see that you have a Blue State Teachers Association voting to allow school districts to celebrate Charlie Kirk's murder after a wave of educators were suspended for their callous comments in Massachusetts.
Wow, that's something worth fighting for.
You can go out there and smear a family and a man that was assassinated because you don't like his views.
A girlfriend who killed boyfriend's business with Kirk doubled down, claiming victimhood.
You have one California Democrat on with, I guess, Al Sharpton, a congresswoman.
You know, Donald Trump doesn't believe in free speech, unlike Charlie Kirk, who was in favor of the First Amendment, even though he has incredibly hateful ideas.
Even here are these people.
All over our country, we have to have efforts now, universities, to stop the insane rhetoric of this radical left.
I'm not going to spend a lot of time because all the left wants to talk about is Jimmy Kimmel.
Jimmy, if ABC wants to hire Jimmy Kimmel, they can hire him.
Nobody's going to stop it.
But there was, by the way, a Sacramento man who blasted President Trump online and then allegedly, according to the New York Post, opened fire on a local ABC affiliate in a brazen drive-by shooting.
Thank God nobody was hurt there.
That person has been found.
Rosie O'Donnell can't help herself.
Join it.
She wants the Disney boycott.
This is up to Disney.
Elon Musk revisited Kamala Harris's old call to suspend Trump from Twitter and the platform.
You know, we have this montage we played last week of Tim Walls and AOC and Hillary Clinton, and we'll show you all of it on Hannity tonight.
Nine Easton on the Fox News channel.
But you have Marvel actor Mark Ruffalo ranting the U.S. will soon be living under the Taliban.
They obviously don't know anything about television.
I don't know what Gavin Newsom is doing either.
I really, at this point, it's kind of inexplicable to me.
I tried to have a conversation with him this weekend.
I'll keep that part of it private.
And then I turn around and I look.
And what's the next thing he's doing?
He's makes a move to make ICE agents more vulnerable to attack.
To me, this is the equivalent of, in a way, you know, ICE agents want to keep their anonymity because they're being so demonized by the left with attacks against ICE agents by violent leftists soaring 1,000% in recent weeks.
What does Gavin Newsom do?
I'm looking at FoxNews.com.
He signed a bill banning law enforcement from wearing face coverings while conducting official business in California.
Oh, let's put their faces out on TV for the public to see with all the rhetoric and this assassination culture we're living in.
And then he put out, apparently, prompting a rebuke and a referral to the Secret Service for a threat assessment after posting on X that DHS Secretary Christy Noam was going to have a bad day.
Why?
What would ever obsess a governor to do this?
What compels them to do this?
Jay is in Vegas.
Jay, glad you called.
It's an honor to talk.
Sean, it's an honor to talk to you.
Thank you for taking my call.
Thank you for calling.
I went to the event yesterday.
I mulled all over last week of whether I should go or not.
I'm in Las Vegas, about four and a half hours away.
Finally decided on Friday to go, and I just want to say it was one of the best decisions I've made in memory.
I know you'll speak a lot this afternoon on the incredible speeches on how we were all moved.
But I specifically want to just commend not the radicals that were protesting or even celebrating, but I want to commend the crowd that was at the memorial.
Everybody that I talked to, everybody that I interacted with, people from 10, 12 different states.
Everybody was just so kind, so passionate, so loving.
I've never felt that kind of love before.
And it was, I knew it was going to be emotional, but the crowd yesterday, each and every one of them, were just absolutely fantastic.
And I can't speak enough about that.
I can, if that didn't move you, again, I'll say you don't have a conscience, a heart, and a soul.
By the way, Democrats really, if they really value the First Amendment, they might try to rein in some of the psycho-crazies in their own party.
The First Amendment does not cover incitement to violence or terroristic threats.
Is some heavy metal group, according to Breitbart, shocking their audience with a graphic depiction of the assassinations of President Donald Trump and Tesla chief Elon Musk at their Chicago show over the weekend?
Anyway, the band performing at Chicago's Riot Fest on Saturday, raising eyebrows.
Apparently, a mannequin dressed like Elon Musk presented wearing a ball cap and a black Doge t-shirt.
The mannequin was soon beheaded by one of the band members using a sword, a stream of fake blood shooting out of the figure's neck.
I mean, is this where we are, really?
By the way, if Democrats want to continue down this path of being the champion of men's rights to play women's sports like they're doing in California and be sanctuary cities and states and have open borders and putting the so-called rights of illegals over the safety of Americans and not vet, you know, people into this country.
We have now known terrorists, murderers, rapists, cartel members, gang members, drug dealers.
If they want to be the party of D-Fund, dismantled, no bail laws, reimagine the police and not the party of law and order.
They're on the wrong side of every 90-10-20 issue out there right now.
It makes no sense politically.
It's so irrational.
800-941-Sean, if you want to be a part of the program.
Look, we love the First Amendment.
Everyday Americans should be able to speak openly, honestly, about family traditional values.
We saw that in Glendale over the weekend.
That's a principle our friends at Pure Talk proudly support.
They sponsor this show that allows me to stand strong behind a microphone every day and share my thoughts with you and your thoughts with me.
If you want to support brands that defend freedom, pro-American values, I encourage you, make the switch to my cell phone provider.
Here's the beauty: you're going to get the same 5G network, the same exact cell towers.
The average family, well, they save over $1,000 a year.
Their plan starting at just $25 a month, unlimited talk, unlimited text, plenty of data.
Anyway, and you're also creating jobs in America supporting small businesses.
Anyway, making the switch is simple.
It's fast.
It's easy.
You dial pound 250 on your cell.
You say the keyword save now.
And if you do it now, you save an additional 50% off your first month.
Pound 250.
Keyword.
Save now from my cell phone provider.
Your talk.
Don't miss one day.
This is the Sean Hannity Show.
All right, ABC announced Jimmy Kimmel is returning next Tuesday.
Is it tomorrow?
No, it's tomorrow, I guess.
And I'm fine with it.
As is every kind of other conservative.
We just decided not to watch it.
And that's what freedom's about.
We'll continue.
You want smart political talk without the meltdowns?
We got you.
I'm Carol Markowitz, and I'm Mary Catherine Hamm.
We've been around the block in media and we're doing things differently.
Normally is about real conversations.
