What I told people, I was making a podcast about Benghazi.
Nine times out of ten, they called me a masochist, rolled their eyes, or just asked why.
Benghazi, the truth became a web of lies.
From Prologue Projects and Pushkin Industries.
This is Fiasco Benghazi.
What difference at this point does it make?
Listen to Fiasco, Benghazi on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
I'm Ben Ferguson, and I'm Ted Cruz.

And we cover the stories that you're not getting anywhere else.

So down a verdict with Ted Cruz now, wherever you get your podcasts.com.
It is my great uh privilege and pleasure and relief to report to you that Mr. O'Reilly has gone to Japan and China and made it home safely.
And it just so happens that the president will be speaking with President Xi tomorrow, so it's very timely in terms of news, and a Chinese researcher has now been caught trying to smuggle a potential bioweapon into the United States.
And uh anyway, Mr. O'Reilly, I had a SWAT team on standby, not gonna say what part of the world they were in, uh, to go in for the rescue mission.
Had you been taken captive.
Glad you're back.
How are you?
How was your trip?
Yeah, they wanted to get rid of me.
They wanted you out?
Yeah, yeah, we had enough in three days.
Um unbelievable police state, though, in China.
Oh, I was uh in Spain when Franco was uh the dictator there.
I was in Romania when it was controlled by the Soviet Union, I've been to Cuba.
Nothing comes close to uh China.
They actually confiscated my pens.
What?
Your your pens?
Yeah, it was a woman about 24 years old in a little communist uniform, and that's always trouble.
It doesn't matter if it's a man or woman, you give these people power.
And uh they x-rayed my carry on thing that I had, and they go, Oh, uh, give me your pens.
I said, I'm a journalist.
I need him to write stuff down.
Not I took him.
And I told that to uh the power bureau guys that I spoke with that evening.
So they gave me two really nice pens to make up for.
Unbelievable.
All right, so you go there, um, and you did forego any honorarium.
Uh they wanted you to go there to talk about President Trump so they can understand Trump.
Uh now the president is speaking or spoke with Putin earlier today and is speaking with President Xi tomorrow.
There's a lot happening in the news.
Uh the president has accused China of violating the the trade deal that they had just recently made.
Number one, and you know, then we have this issue that I just mentioned.
Uh We have a Chinese researcher caught trying to smuggle in a potential bioweapon into the United States.
You know, China has been ripping off America.
Um, how did it go?
How is the reception you received?
And to what extent were they spying on you?
Like, are we going to see pictures on the internet of Bill Rile Bill O'Reilly showering in his hotel room any day now?
Well, I hope not because that was shut down the worldwide uh social media.
Uh we didn't bring our cell phones.
We use burners because they'll hack your cell phones.
Uh I went over there at the invitation of the wealthiest man in China, uh, who uh runs a Beijing club for international relations, and my goal, and I think I accomplished it, was to set the stage for positive negotiations.
I've been working for a year on a um policy call partnership for peace and prosperity.
And just briefly, if you follow me on Bill O'Reilly.com, you know what that is, but uh for those who don't, it's an alliance between a capitalist USA, the communist China, to police the world to stop Putin, to stop the Mullers in uh and the reason that the Chinese would do it is economic.
They gotta feed uh uh billion and a half people, they need a new U.S. market.
Now, if I had been invited by the uh Moscow club, I don't think I could have gotten through to Putin or Putin's boys.
I think Putin is psychotic.
And I think that that's a far more unstable situation than China.
I had 13 people in the room, uh, 12 men, one woman, the most powerful people in the country.
Uh it was taped, it was off the record, but I assume that President Xi saw it, it was 90 minutes.
They asked me questions about President Trump, and you know me, no spin, and I told him that was gonna be it.
I also told him that when I got back to America, I'd have to debrief the president, which I did on Sunday.
And I'm very happy that he and she are gonna be on the phone.
I think they can work it out.
Um Taiwan, far and away the biggest issue for the Chinese, not the tariffs, Taiwan.
And uh I listened respectfully, they listen respectfully for me.
It was a good dialogue, and I am cautiously optimistic.
We have to tamp down the cold war between China and the United States.
If we do not, then the world is going to be put into chaos and dangerous chaos.
Well, I can tell you, I think that there is look, I think both have big weapons in this battle over trade, for example.
The Chinese desperately need access to our markets, and temporarily we've learned that Biden left us with a vulnerability that most Americans didn't know about, and that is rare earth minerals.
And although I can tell you at the speed of light, America's looking to for alternatives, and and they won't have that advantage very long.
But they still need access to our markets.
Now, I would hope that tomorrow's phone call results in some type of deal where, you know, we understand that there's mutually assured destroy well, harm.
I won't call it destruction.
But the Chinese economy cannot thrive without access to American markets.
And and listen, we we we do need certain rare earth minerals, and unfortunately, we've allowed ourselves to be put in a position where we are dependent on them, just like a lot of our pharmaceuticals are produced in China, that has to stop, and too many semiconductors have been, you know, we rely on Taiwan for, and you know, the president now is gonna be in-house, we're gonna be producing our own pharmaceuticals, automobiles, and semiconductor chips, and we are now developing alternatives to rare earth minerals.
The only reason we have them all here, except the the left wouldn't allow us to mine for them.
Did any of that come up?
All of it.
Um that's what Greenland's all about, by the way.
Um so President Trump is forward-looking.
He understands everything you just said very well.
Um he understands that China needs the U.S. market to feed a billion and a half people, and China knows that too, which is the reason I'm cautiously optimistic.
But there's very bad feeling, and that's gotta be tamped down.
And um it was off the record, but I can tell you certain things.
Like I went in and I said, Look, you're not dealing with a weak president.
And this was the headline.
As soon as I went in there, four or five of these Politburo guys said, We're happy that Trump's president.
We didn't like Joe Biden.
He was weak and unfocused.
That's the word they used.
Unfocused.
Half of them spoke English, half of them didn't, and they had the headphones to instant translate.
Um and that was a little surprising for me.
Um but they said we think we can do business with.
And I said, if you want to do business with the president, there's two things that you cannot do.
And this is I was speaking pretty bluntly, Hannity.
You know me.
It's number one Well, you're very, very known for being demure and quiet and and very, very respectful.
I said you can't publicly humiliate him.
You can't do that.
And if you do, you're gonna get nowhere.
Okay?
And the second is you gotta give him something.
And if I can uh be so bold as suggest, knock out the fentanyl production.
And then one guy said, Oh, we don't make fentanyl, we just make the precursors, and I looked at him and I said, Do you need fentanyl at all?
Do you need the precursors here?
Nope.
In the room.
I said, You don't need that.
Give that to President Trump.
That's how you begin a negotiation that's positive.
And there wasn't a lot of pushback.
Chinese never tell you what they're thinking.
When they uh disagree with you or think you're a loon, they frown deeply.
When they understand or agree with you, they need to by the way, there must have been a lot of frowning with you in the room, but keep going.
I'll tell you that.
Oh, it's shocking.
They watch my show every night.
By the way, that's what shocked me in Riyadh.
I mean, I I I go up where the dais is.
The president's with the crown prince, and the president starts talking about, oh, he's the top guy in r in in media in America, and he makes this insane amount of money, which I don't make, and and not as much as you uh crown prince, but he makes, you know, and then uh I said, Mr. President, I don't think anybody up here knows who I am.
The guy sitting next to the president goes, Hannity.
The guy next to him goes, Sean Hannity, Fox News.
I was like, oh boy.
Yeah, that's social media is is overwhelmed.
But the kicker is the Chinese people never see it.
No, they don't see it.
The people the people in Saudi Arabia do actually, Bill.
No, they do.
Uh and today is the uh I think it's uh thirty-fifth anniversary of Tiananmen Square.
I stood in the middle of that square one week ago.
Um, and we'd be foolish.
Americans would be foolish to underestimate the ferocity of the Chinese communist state.
It's ferocious.
But I think that Donald Trump's the best negotiator in the world.
And I don't say that with any patronizing or anything like that.
I think the man just a fact he is.
Yeah, I think he's an excellent deal maker.
And if he will cooperate at least 50 percent, they'll get a deal.
See, Putin's not gonna cooperate until you break his arm.
Okay, it's clear now that uh Donald Trump underestimated Putin.
Putin is psychotic, in my opinion.
One million Russian casualties.
One million in Ukraine.
He's a m he's a murdering thug dictator.
And however, I think that the president, you know, did to his credit, he's not afraid to take on big issues, Bill.
And and peace in Europe is critical.
Peace in the Middle East is critical.
Looks like the Iranians now are rejecting the president's deal to their to their own detriment.
You and I both know what the likely outcome's gonna be.
And it's unfortunate it was it's all avoidable and all of that.
But you're right.
I mean, we have we have some very, very serious problems that he inherited, and he's going at all of them, and you gotta give him credit for tackling the big issues and not hiding from them.
Yeah, look, he underestimated Putin's psychosis, so did I. I got Putin on my upcoming book, Confronting Evil.
He's on a book, right next to Mao, by the way.
And if you go to Bill O'Reilly.com, you'll see me standing in front of a picture of Mao, a huge picture.
You also see me at the Great Wall of China, which is, in my opinion, the most stunning attraction in the world.
Four hundred thousand human beings were killed constructing that wall.
It is just an amazing sight.
But getting back to the politics of it, President Trump is finds himself in a very dangerous world.
We had four years of a president who who couldn't even come out of this room.
And this is the same thing that happened to Abraham Lincoln when the civil war began.
You had to clean up the mess.
But I think Donald Trump is a pretty good vision.
But again, Putin is gonna have to be different than the Chinese.
I don't think I could have gotten anywhere with the Russian people.
I think I'd set the table in Beijing last week, and I'm hoping that good things come out.
I'm just glad you got home alive, and I'm not kidding.
I mean, there was a certain amount of risk going there.
There's no doubt about it.
Let me ask you about this, because this was just breaking today, as long as we're talking about uh international issues and about you know these troubled spots in the world, New York Post reporting Iran's supreme leader uh blasting the U.S.'s arrogant as he effectively rejects this revised nuclear deal that would have reportedly allowed them to have low-level imported uranium.
Uh I am told my sources that the uranium that they've enriched up to this point is under the care of the IAEA, and I have zero confidence in them.
And then you look at Rasmussen, 84% of Americans side with Donald Trump stopping Iran's nuclear program.
Now, Bill, my sources and they're impeccable, tell me that they are at over 60% enrichment.
Less than a month, they'll be at weapons grade, 90% enrichment if they want to be.
And if they have the delivery systems, I I'm I believe we risk a modern day holocaust.
What does the president do here?
Well, he may send a signal today saying that this deal has to be done.
Um he didn't put a time uh uh an exact time, but qu fairly quickly.
Look, he can get that deal done.
Uh the Moers know that if they don't sign the deal, I would say within two weeks, that Israel is going to take out all four ports, and uh they'll starve the Persian people.
That's what will happen.
And China's not going to intervene.
China didn't care about the Iranian thing, and I was, and I said, you ought to care.
But they really don't.
They don't care about Putin either.
Uh China is a very centric.
We care about our people and our people alone.
This is what we want.
I said, you can get some of what you want.
You're not going to get all.
One more thing I want to tell you.
This was fairly stunning.
So I'm sitting there uh with these guys in it, and it was very respectful.
Very proud.
Leave it there.
Let me pick it up on the other side.
Let me hold you over for a few more minutes.
I know you have to go in a few, uh, but this is too important to let you go.
Um, we are with Bill O'Reilly, all things O'Reilly at BillO'Reilly.com.
Uh, quick break.
More with Bill on the other side of this break as we continue.
What I told people, I was making a podcast about Benghazi.
Nine times out of ten, they called me a masochist, rolled their eyes, or just asked why.
Benghazi, the truth became a web of lies.
It's almost a dirty word.
One that connotes conspiracy theory.
Will we ever get the truth about the Benghazi massacre?
Bad faith, political warfare, and frankly, bullshit.
We kill the ambassador just to cover something up.
You put two and two together.
Was it an overblown distraction or a sinister conspiracy?
Benghazi is a rosetta stone for everything that's been going on for the last 20 years.
I'm Leon Mayfok from Prologue Projects and Pushkin Industries.
This is Fiasco Benghazi.
What difference at this point does it make?
Yes, that's right.
Locker up.
Listen to Fiasco, Benghazi on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hey there.
I'm Mary Catherine Hamm.
And I'm Carol Markowitz.
We've been in political media for a long time.
Long enough to know that it's gotten, well, a little insane.
That's why we started normally a podcast for people who are over the hysteria and just want clarity.
We talk about the issues that actually matter to the country without panic, without yelling, and with a healthy dose of humor.
We don't take ourselves too seriously, but we do take the truth seriously.
So if you're into common sense, sanity, and some occasional SAS, you're our kind of people.
Catch new episodes of Normally every Tuesday and Thursday on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen.

So down a verdict with Ted Cruz now, wherever you get your podcasts.
Appreciate the airtime very much.
Well, this is this was an important trip.
I'm actually very proud of you.
Sounds like you did a really good job.
You're holding me over and because this is very important.
So when I uh walked into this meeting at the Beijing Club, I thought it was going to be heavy tariffs, but that was not, as I said earlier, uh the focus.
The focus was in 2049, it'll be a hundred years since Mao Zhe Tung imposed communism brutally on the Chinese people.
They uh the government is adamant that by that date uh Taiwan will be under the Chinese communist flag.
That gives the world some room.
The most important question asked of me by a very high ranking Chinese government official was if we have to use military force on Taiwan, what do you think President Trump would do?
Now that's a heavy question.
And I said to him, I cannot speak for President Trump, and I have no idea.
And for me to guess or speculate would be irresponsible, not only to my country, but to yours.
But I can tell you one thing with certainty, and then the whole room, Hannity leaned forward.
I said, President Trump is not going to allow any country on this earth to make him or the United States look weak.
The previous president did that.
Donald Trump will never do that.
How did they react to that?
They wrote it down.
That's pretty interesting.
Now I had similar experiences because we're dealing with really we're we're dealing with the world's hotspots here.
He's trying to bring about peace in Europe.
He's trying to bring peace in the Middle East.
And when I went with the president on the trip and reported on the trip from Riyadh and Saudi Arabia, and then we went to Qatar, Qatar, however you prefer to pronounce it, you can do it both ways.
And I was there, and then we went to Abu Dhabi in the UAE.
I can tell you what I learned.
I learned that all these Gulf states would love to join the Abraham Accords.
They're not going to say it out loud.
They want peace in the region, like China, Bill, they they're all about business.
They want to be in business with the U.S., they want to expand their economies, they want to diversify their economies.
What they are deathly afraid of, however, is the threat of Iran.
And so there's a lot of similarities in what you're describing here, with the exception, you know, you you think the same about he and China, but we both agree that that Putin and Russia now you know is all is a whole different equation.
And by the way, you know, earlier today the president put out that he talked to Putin an hour and fifteen minutes, and they discussed the attack on Russia's airplanes by Ukraine.
He said it was a good conversation.
It won't lead to an immediate piece, he said.
He said Putin did say that he will respond to the recent attack on the airfields.
Then they also discussed Iran and the fact that time is running out on Iran's decision pertaining to nuclear weapons, which must be made quickly.
I stated to Putin that Iran can have a nuclear weapon.
On this, I believe we were in agreement, and he said that he will participate in discussions with Iran that he could perhaps be helpful in getting this brought to a rapid conclusion.
He said, in my opinion, Iran has been slow walking their decision on this very important matter, and We will not we will need a definitive answer in a very short period of time.
I mean, the the world's hanging in a balance of many ways, Bill, between Europe, Ukraine, Russia, uh, the Middle East, Iran, and China.
I mean, you're looking at a lot of hot spots in the world.
The most important story for Americans is the China USA relationship.
Iran will fold, that will happen.
Putin doesn't care about Iran, he doesn't want that to uh intrude on anything that he does, so he'll help.
Yeah, he'll whisper into the Mullers, and I suggested that President Xi might want to do that too, and I think that'll be part of the conversation between Trump and Xi tomorrow.
So Putin and Xi would both say to uh Mullers, hey, you gotta knock it off.
You gotta sign this treaty and let's let's go forward.
Um and I think that will happen.
But the United States and Europe is gonna have to really put a hurt on Putin.
I'll tell you right.
Well, they have eighty-two senators that have now signed on to a massive sanctions bill.
Does that does that bring enough pressure?
I'm not sure.
He's psychotic, as I said at the beginning of this conversation.
We're not dealing with a normal human being here.
And uh because a normal human being would have taken the deal that Trump offered, which was a good deal for Putin and Russia.
And Putin reached Let me ask you another let me ask you this question about China.
The governor of uh Arizona, Katie Hobbs vetoed a bill that would prevent China from buying land near military bases.
You were just in China, Bill.
I assume they monitor you monitored you every second.
I assume I was probably being monitored while I was in uh the Gulf States.
I have very little doubt about it.
I know I was in Vietnam, I know I was in Singapore, I know I wasn't Helsinki.
Um I would imagine the same, and like you, I took a burner phone uh just for that trip.
Right.
And so the Chinese, Chinese nationals in this country have been buying up ranch land, farmland, and land near military installation, uh military installations, and the governor of Arizona vetoed a bill preventing China from buying land near military bases.
How stupid is she?
Well, she's gonna lose.
Uh Robson will win.
Um but uh I want the United States at this juncture in history to lay off the small ball stuff.
I didn't think the uh expulsion of uh Chinese students was a good move.
The Chinese take all this very personally, very personally.
Big picture.
That's what we need.
She needs to be empowered, okay, to the extent that Trump is treating him as an equal.
Very psychologically important.
Now I don't know if it's gonna work out, but this is by far and away the most important story for every American.
We have a top geopolitical foe, but Iran is a more imminent threat as in my humble opinion.
Yeah, well, Israel will take them out, Hannity.
Well, Israel's gonna need the help of the U.S. Bill.
They can't do it without us.
They need our bunker busters, they need our planes, they need they need help.
And we'll give them the help they want.
Trump's not gonna stand aside and and let Iran get the nuke.
You said it fifteen times.
He's not.
So he said it five times in front of me when I was in the Middle East with him.
I heard him.
And and look, I'm if I were worried about it, I'd tell you.
I think it's terrible.
I think it's uh uh terrible situation for all the world, but I'm not worried about Iran.
That's gonna work itself out.
I am worried about China and Putin, and I'm praying that China does do this partnership for prosperity and peace.
And if they do, it's a game changer for the entire world.
And I told these people in Beijing, every single Chinese citizen will benefit if you can get a deal with America.
They have they have not shown any desire.
They'll never show that.
That's not the way they operate.
But I think Xi and Trump can get it done one on one.
But he's such an authoritarian figure.
I mean, when the Wall Street Journal was chronicling the the unrest that was going on as these factories were shutting down because of the Trump tariffs.
You think President Xi gives a flying hoot about any one person in China?
He will crush them.
He will destroy them, and he won't blink an eye.
No, he's his legacy.
And that's exactly how I put it.
If if Xi can enter into this partnership and his people benefit and the world calms down, then he becomes a great leader.
That's what he wants.
Just like Trump wants to be a great president.
And this is, I hope you're right.
I think there's definitely a possibility of it, but I'm a trust, but verify Reagan guy in that sense.
He's not sh listen, he he's not gone into Taiwan.
I actually thought if he was going to do it, he would have done it during the Biden years.
China does not want that.
China's economy is shaky.
That'll put them right into a depression if they do it.
This is a long-term deal.
And um, but I think they can get an arrangement with Taiwan.
Um I'm hoping that that will happen.
But at this point, you know, I don't I did what I could do.
I and I I want everybody to know I paid for that trip.
Nobody gave you No, you did I uh I you didn't get an honorarium.
You paid for you you paid for your own airfare, hotel, everything.
I got I got the King Duck, which was good.
But that's what I and I hauled my son along so he could get a view of the world that no 21 year old in the world has.
I'm glad you did that.
It sounds like a really productive trip.
It's uh it we we've gotta compare notes on the trips we took recently, uh, because it really is an honor to do it.
And you know, Linda would say, Well, why are you doing your shows?
I'm like, well, the whole reason is to share with our audience and the fact that you can share your trip with our audience, I think is equally important.
Uh, you know, as we get older, we we'd be starting to begin to think about you know the world we're gonna leave our children and grandchildren, and there's a lot of hot spots in the world, and I worry about all of it.
Uh Bill O'Reilly, uh, we do appreciate the extra time.
Thank you for being with us.
All things O'Reilly of Bill O'Reilly.com, and uh we're glad you're home safe.
Thanks, Sean.
Appreciate it.
800-941 Shawn is on number if you want to be a part of the program.
Look, Israel's safety today depends on the brave men and women of the IDF.
Every citizen, by the way, is required to serve.
I I actually think we should adopt this in this country.
It would be so good for our young people.
Many serve without family nearby, and their family suffer.
Now, I got a chance to be with the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews and all these great people and all their great donors, and and it was very meaningful yesterday, and uh a group of us met with them.
And, you know, to to understand what's happening and to hear what they're doing on the ground and the humanitarian assistance that they're offering in and house Israel is in this fight for their very survival and this existential threat that is known as Iran that they have to deal with every single day.
And you know, they're providing humanitarian assistance and food and water and medicine and shelter and clothing and also uh things like flak jackets and mobile bomb shelters.
I mean, they are doing God's work every day at a time when they are most in need.
And that's why the IFCJ exists.
It's the international fellowship of Christians and Jews, uh, people of all faiths getting together and helping Israel as they fight for their survival.
We hope you can help as well.
Uh their toll-free numbers 888-488 IFCJ 888-488-IFCJ on the web.
It's IFCJ.org.
That's IFCJ.org, and we hope you can donate generously today.
These are great people doing great work.
The final hour of the Sean Hannity Show is up next.
Hang on for Sean's conservative solutions.
Our favorite senator from Louisiana, John Kennedy.
This is a great moment that took place, drilling this law professor, Kate Shaw, over previous comments about evil Supreme Court justices.
Uh quote, I'm embarrassed you're teaching our kids.
Ouch.
Checkmate moment.
Listen.
On April 22nd, 2024, you said there are some members of the Supreme Court that are evil.
Which justices were you talking about?
I'll take it your words and I don't recall you think that word.
All right, here's what she said.
You were talking about the majority opinion in Maldro, V city of St. Louis.
You said, quote, Justice Kagan, I mean, will she be able to control the opinions future distortion by her evil colleagues?
Probably not.
End quote.
Who are you talking about?
Sir, I'm I'm I'm I'm very skeptical.
There's a trip.
If it's transcription, it was probably a transcription error.
I do not think I said.
No, you said it.
Why don't you own up to it?
Which you call some members of the Supreme Court evil.
Which ones do you think are evil?
I would have to refresh my recollection.
I am very I've been very critical of the members of the Supreme Court.
I'm sorry.
It doesn't sound like something that's embarrassed at that you're teaching our kids.
I don't refer to Supreme Court justices as evil in the classroom, sir.
In April 22nd, 2024.
Okay, well.
Big as Dallas.
And you're an officer of the court, and you're here advising us to be respectful to federal judges, and you say they're evil members of the United States, Supreme Court, gag me with a spoon.
You're part of what's pro the problem in all of this.
You know, it's about it's sort of like I had this liberal on the other night.
Linda, you saw the show.
And it was it was pretty unbelievable when I asked, Well, when did you first notice Joe Biden's cognitive decline?
He goes, Well, I never saw it.
I'm like, really?
You never saw it.
I think you're lying.
I think you're full of crap.
I don't believe you.
And then finally, well, I saw it during the debate.
I don't believe that either.
