What I told people, I was making a podcast about Benghazi.
Nine times out of ten, they called me a masochist, rolled their eyes, or just asked why.
Benghazi, the truth became a web of lies.
From Prologue Projects and Pushkin Industries, this is Fiasco Benghazi.
What difference at this point does it make?
Listen to Fiasco Benghazi on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Coming up next, our final news roundup and information overload hour.
All right, news round up and information overload hour.
Sean, if you want to be a part of the program, as we have been going into great specificity in and detail.
Now we have a hundred and thirty countries that are seeking either free and fair trade deals.
I would imagine most of them want that, uh, or there'll be reciprocal tariffs.
We see the Trump effect with Nvidia announcing that they will produce AI supercomputers entirely in the U.S. for the first time and produce 500 billion of AI infrastructure in the U.S. over the next uh four years, which is a big deal.
Uh, much to the surprise of many, America's largest retailer, biggest box store, if you will, Walmart says it does not expect that Trump tariffs will negatively impact their sales growth.
And are there going to be some complications, difficulty?
Yeah, absolutely.
And while I do believe these hundred and thirty countries, I I I think I would expect and anticipate at some point there's going to be deal after deal after deal that is going to be signed uh by the president, and I think that's going to be good for Americans.
Uh we have been ripped off, taken advantage of, frankly, abused, and have allowed ourselves to be such for all of these years.
Uh, as I mentioned earlier in the program, Victor Tavis Hansen had a lot of good points in his column today.
And, you know, you know, let's ignore the fact that, well, you know, why is Wall Street panicking?
Uh the latest jobs report went through the roof that they didn't expect, or the inflation rate dropped to uh its low lowest level in four years.
Um they worried about Trump's impending tax cuts, deregulation, greater budget cuts, which even a novice on Wall Street would know is good for the uh economy.
But if the U.S. is running a $63 billion trade surplus with Canada, you've you gotta ask some serious, significant real questions.
You know, I brought up the issue earlier today.
You know, why are U.S. cars pretty much frozen out of the European market?
Why does the EU have car sales in the U.S. totaling 43.9 billion dollars versus sales of American cars of only 8.9 billion?
Well, we've gone into that in detail.
A 10% tariff versus our two and a half percent uh tariff, and of course, their 20% VAT tax, that's 30% increase to the sticker price of any automobile we're selling there.
Now we have over seven trillion, I guess now seven and a half trillion with Nvidia today that is being committed.
But this is separate and apart from what President Chi is going to do in China.
Uh clearly Donald Trump has gotten his attention.
And uh President Xi apparently is going on an Asia trade blitz, according to reports, visiting Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, seeking to stabilize China's trade ties, and their commerce minister arguing this week that Trump tariffs inflict serious harm on developing nations.
Meanwhile, most of those countries are already at the point of wanting to deal with President Trump and negotiate trade deals with us.
And so anyway, we're gonna we'll we'll see what happens and with China.
I still believe that they will need access to our markets.
And if they can continue to ratchet up a trade war, Donald Trump's not gonna back down on China.
Uh is he more open and willing to negotiate with our allies and partners?
Sure, but again, the choice is going to be free and fair trade versus reciprocal trade, but the choice will be yours.
Here's the president sounding the alarm about how during the Biden years we lost trillions of dollars because they allowed China to take advantage of us, rip us off, and abuse us.
Here's what he said.
We're the greatest economic power in the world, if we're smart.
If we're not smart, we're gonna hurt our country very badly.
We lost with China over the Biden years, trillions of dollars on trade.
Trillions of dollars.
And he let them fleece us, and we can't do that anymore.
And you know what?
I don't blame China at all.
I don't blame President Xi.
I like him.
He likes me.
I mean, you know, who knows?
Who the hell cares?
No, let me just tell you this.
I don't blame China.
I don't blame Vietnam.
I don't I see their meeting today, isn't that wonderful?
Is that a lovely meeting?
A meeting like trying to figure out how do we screw the United States of America.
Okay.
Now the question is, what happens now with China?
And is President Xi able to is he able to find access to enough other markets and work out trade deals.
Uh because if you look at the list and I've scrolled it on television and I've mentioned it on radio, I just it would take me the rest of the the show to list every single item that China puts a tariff on on the U.S. Are they going to be open to free and fair trade or or just will it be reciprocal tariffs?
That's going to be up to President Xi, but I think at the end of the day that he's going to need access to our markets.
Anyway, Gordon Chang, author of the coming collapse of China and the Great US China Tech War, and he actually put up on X what what President Xi will do when the sun rises in Beijing is a question mark.
He has no good options because the more he retaliates, the more he undermines his faltering economy.
And by the way, the uh Chinese currency's never been worse than where it is now.
Their economy is struggling.
The only thing they've really invested in that should concern Americans is in their military might.
Anyway, Gordon Shang, welcome back to the program.
Thank you so much, Sean.
All right.
What's what let's get your assessment on this, knowing and having studied President Xi as you have.
Well, the the Chinese are in a very difficult place.
First of all, their economy is spiraling down.
We see this from the price data for March, which shows deflation.
They're having their 2008 crisis now, Sean.
In 2008, they didn't want a recession, so they overstimulated their economy, took on too much debt.
Now they got to deal with all of that debt.
And you have the plunging property market and failing local governments, and then all of a sudden President Trump says, I'm dealing with the tariff issue.
So I don't know what uh means that they have.
I mean, you mentioned that they're gonna try to sell more to other countries, but that's gonna be really difficult because our market is the most important to them.
We got the world's biggest consumer market, can't be replaced.
The only thing that Xi Jinping can do, and which is what he's trying to do right now, is to mobilize political opinion in the United States to put pressure on President Trump.
And I don't think Trump is gonna back down, as you say, because Trump really believes what he's doing.
He knows it's important.
He knows that this is it.
And so I think he's going to stand firm.
130 countries that want to do deals.
He certainly has gotten the world's attention.
The only thing I might have a slight worry or concern about is I I think everybody understands we've been ripped off and taken advantage of, and it's gone on for fifty, sixty years, and and I think that's one of the reasons why these countries are so amenable to dealing with them.
But back to China.
Uh I believe it and at the end of the day, President Chi will be practical, and the practical answer is gonna be okay, Donald Trump's gonna be in office four years.
The impact on the Chinese economies incalculable in terms of the amount of money and the amount of product that they send into this country.
Uh So I would expect and anticipate a deal at some point, probably a summit down the road.
Am I wrong?
I hope you're right.
The problem is that Xi Jinping has configured the Chinese political system so that only the most hostile answers are considered acceptable, which means at least in the short and intermediate term, he's not going to pick up the phone.
Now picking up the phone to talk to President Trump would be the rational thing to do.
But I think he's boxed himself in.
So yes, I think long term the Chinese will have to talk to the United States, but it is going to be a lot longer than most people want.
But by the way, let's remember that um when we did have a trade deal with President with President Trump and General Secretary Xi Jinping, it was a loser for us.
That was the phase one trade deal of January 2020.
The Chinese immediately violated it.
So you know, we've got a long way to go before we can get a trade deal which actually means something.
What do you mean by uh they violated?
How did they violate it?
They had uh uh purchase commitments um which were very specific on s various items, agricultural and manufactured goods, and they just didn't meet those commitments.
It was very clear that there was no way that they had actually honored uh the promises they made to President Trump.
Yeah, well, I I just think that you know the question is is a matter of pride.
Now the the Chinese economy is been faltering.
How bad is it?
It is I think contracting.
Um it could be a little bit better than that, but we know that it's not growing at the five point zero percent pace that they claimed for last year.
Um last year when they claimed five zero, it was probably one point zero or one point five.
Now there's been very clear deterioration, so they're probably about zero.
And as I mentioned, uh they're in deflation, um, both consumer deflation and uh factory deflation, and that means that the economy is going down.
Very hard to get out of deflation.
So I don't know what they're gonna do short of going to war as you suggested.
Okay, so let's talk about this.
They obviously have a massive population.
They have built up their military.
Uh do you believe they have surpassed mil America's military capabilities?
They have hypersonics, we don't, uh, for example.
Uh however, we have more nuclear weapons with more delivery systems than they do, which would be mutually assured destruction.
Is President Chi suicidal?
I don't think so.
Yeah, I don't think so.
Um, though I think he has a much lower threshold of risk, um, because right now he's being blamed for all of China's problems, which means that uh he is more willing to take risk than we think he is, so he can take us by surprise.
And your first question overall the U.S. military is more capable than China's.
And yes, they've got some weapons and some really important weapons that we don't have, the hypersonic cruise missiles that you mentioned.
But remember it's a communist military, which means that it is not well configured for fighting a long-term war.
Um because when you get two reporting lines, one political, one military, where the political one is more important than the military line, that's no way to run a war.
Let me ask you a practical question, because there are so many businesses that rely on cheap goods from China, whether they're goods to build things here in America or whether or not, you know, for example, the toy industry.
I don't think Americans have an appetite to pay fifty bucks for a Barbie, assuming that toys like that are made in China.
I don't know for sure.
Um but I'm just trying to come up with come up with a an example.
And how is it gonna impact those businesses and jobs here in America?
Now, I love the seven trillion dollars that seven and a half trillion now that have been committed in new investment manufacturing, automobile industry, high-paying career jobs for Americans as a result of even the threat of of of President Trump's tariffs.
But for the companies that have been reliant and making money, and there's one uh there's one prominent business guy, I'm not gonna mention him now, but his comments this weekend I found pretty repulsive and disgusting, you know, predicting an economic doom and gloom for America.
And I just happen to know for a fact that a lot of the profit margin of of his quote big wall street firm uh has to do with the fact that they do never-ending business in China.
So it's a little bit selfish and self-serving on his part, as far as I'm concerned, but we'll get into that maybe at the right time.
But what do you do?
What do you say to the companies, smaller American companies reliant on either materials or outright products that they're importing from China?
They're gonna have to move their supply chains to countries that have better trade environments, and uh certainly we have better relations with.
This has been, you know, clear for some time that there was going to be increasing trade friction between China and the United States.
So these companies um should have moved their supply chains earlier.
And if they didn't, um they made a grievous mistake because everybody could see this was coming.
So I think they will do that, and that means that uh prices won't spike um, or at least they're not gonna stay up for very long because companies will move factories to countries where the tariff rates are lower, and that'll be good for us, Sean.
Oh, I agree.
I don't think it's gonna be good for American workers as well.
And I think, you know, we already see massive amounts of money being invested in the country.
What do you what do you predict Europe is gonna do?
Europe needs to come to the table with President Trump and enter into a uh major trade agreement.
This is something that Biden and his predecessors couldn't do because they were playing too nice, and the Europeans play very, very tough on trade, as President Trump has said.
So I think that there will be a deal.
And the other thing is I don't think they'll have much of a deal with China, because China is trying to also enter into a trade relationship with the 27-member uh nation European Union.
But EU and with the European Union well, they've been stupid in terms of getting their energy resources from Russia.
Would they be stupid enough to you know move away from the United States and move towards China?
I don't think so, because they've had a lot of trade friction with China, and they know how bad China is.
And the things that make China a predatory and criminal trader are not going to be settled by a trade agreement between the EU and China.
Now, as for energy, President Trump is willing to sell them LNG, and if when we get our export terminals in Louisiana up to speed, I think that the Europeans are gonna see that they should be buying American energy rather than Russian energy.
Yeah, it's gonna be interesting to watch.
Uh, Gordon Shang, we appreciate you.
Thank you, sir, for being with us uh 800-941 Sean, if you want to be a part of the program.
Hey there.
I'm Mary Catherine Hamm.
And I'm Carol Markowitz.
We've been in political media for a long time.
Long enough to know that it's gotten, well, a little insane.
That's why we started normally a podcast for people who are over the hysteria and just want clarity.
We talk about the issues that actually matter to the country without panic, without yelling, and with a healthy dose of humor.
We don't take ourselves too seriously, but we do take the truth seriously.
So if you're into common sense, sanity, and some occasional sass.
You're our kind of people.

What I told people, I was making a podcast about Benghazi.
Nine times out of ten, they called me a masochist, rolled their eyes, or just asked why.
It's almost a dirty word.
One that connotes conspiracy theory.
Will we ever get the truth about the Benghazi massacre?
Bad faith, political warfare, and frankly, bullshit.
We kill the ambassador just to cover Something up, you put two and two together.
Was it an overblown distraction or a sinister conspiracy?
Benghazi is a rosetta stone for everything that's been going on for the last 20 years.
I'm Leon Mayfock from Prologue Projects and Pushkin Industries.
This is Fiasco Benghazi.
What difference at this point does it make?
Yeah, that's right.
Locker up.
Listen to Fiasco Benghazi on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
I'm sure most of you by now have heard Bill Maher's comments.
I actually watched it.
And it was interesting, but I had already known what happened.
We had Kid Rock on the next night.
He told us he was there.
Dana White was there.
Um so I didn't think Bill, I don't think Bill Maher's a liar.
I just think, you know, it one interesting thing I think Kid Rock said to Bill Maher is, you know, you donate all this money to Democrats.
Did they ever invite you?
No.
At one point he even said, um, one of the things that he really liked about Donald Trump that he and this was to me was amazing.
I wouldn't feel comfortable talking to Obama or Clinton like I did Trump.
I was able to criticize him, and he was fine with it.
And by the way, that's a hundred percent true.
And, you know, they found areas of agreement, like on wokeism and immigration, and he went into great specificity and details, not changing who he is, and he was clear about that.
Anyway, here's what Marr had to say Friday night.
So MAGA fans, don't worry.
Your boy gave me nothing.
Just hats.
Hats and a very generous amount of time and a willingness to listen and accept me as a possible friend, even though I'm not MAGA, which was the point of the dinner.
And he said, you know, I've heard from a lot of people who really who really liked that we're having this dinner.
Not all, but a lot.
And I said, same.
A lot of people told me they loved it, but not all.
And we agreed.
The people who don't even want us to talk, we don't like you.
Don't talk.
As opposed to what?
Writing the same editorial for the millionth time and making 25 hour speeches into the wind.
Really?
That's what liberals have.
He takes the piss out of everybody else, and we can hold ours.
Okay.
That's my report.
You can hate me for it, but I'm not a liar.
Trump was gracious and measured, and why he isn't that in other settings, I don't know, and I can't answer, and it's not my place to answer.
I'm just telling you what I saw, and I wasn't high.
I mean, you've got to admit that's pretty funny.
Linda, imagine would there ever be a moment where Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, uh, or any of these people would ever invite me.
I doubt it.
I don't think that would ever happen.
Definitely not.
Maybe you should start, you know, getting high on all of your shows and trash talking them excessively.
I guess that's what they like.
They're masochists.
Well, he said he didn't go high, but apparently he wanted a drink immediately, according to one of my sources.
Can I have a drink?
It was a little nervous.
Sure, it was super stressful for him.
I mean, it's like, you know, I mean, it they were just kept breaking his stones.
It was ridiculous.
Yeah, you uh I mean, Keith Overmanny somewhat has no impact at all.
Just he lives in a constant state of rage.
By the way, uh, don't overanalyze Marr prostituting himself to Trump.
Marr works for the same fascist at Warner who took over and corrupted CNN.
He goes on.
And then he's I've known Bill since 1978 as a shameless opportunist with no real principle.
Uh then and he remains so.
This is so he can keep his HBO show.
Oh, like everybody at MSDNC, Washington Post, similar criticism.
You don't have to patronize me.
Marsh snapping at this idiot Washington Post comments who was like, he was almost unwatchable.
At that point, I couldn't even watch it anymore.
Gretchen Whitmer.
Now, this is a little different situation.
Gretchen Whitmer knows that the state of Michigan is devastated because of the 60-year policy as it relates to tariffs.
And and she wants to get on the right side of the issue because her state has been decimated.
Anyway, 800-941 Sean, if you want to be a part of the program.
Guy is in Maryland.
Guy, how are you?
Glad you called.
Oh, hey, Sean.
Uh thank you so much for taking my call.
I've been listening to you for years.
Hey, I got the best story, man.
You're gonna love this story.
So I'm a retired teacher and I'm a house painter now.
So I bought a I bought a um a sign, um, and I put it on my paint truck.
It says my truck identifies as a Tesla.
So I went to this pro this Tesla protest saturated 'cause within all these money is where I live.
So I pull in and first they're smiling at me, because I don't know if they think I may be making fun of Teslas.
So I parked in the lot, I get over, and Sean, it's all these old people, mostly white, like all these old guys like me.
And there's a few young guys mixed in, and I said, Look, why are you guys protesting?
I mean, you guys have the American tree, man.
You got everything.
You don't do without.
You've never had to like live in a bad neighborhood.
What is going on?
Well, they started cursing at me, using all kind of foul language.
They were calling me a racist.
I said, Look, man, I was a coach and a teacher for 40 years, man.
I'm not a racist.
I coach every type of kid, you know, a lot of state champions.
I said, What are you guys talking about?
And they were just cursing blowing a whistle, and one of the one of the young guys comes up to me.
He says, Go ahead, buddy, throw a punch at me, and then I'll kick your butt.
I said, Man, I'm not gonna hit you.
And then they were really, man, they were cursing, swearing.
I tell you, Sean, I have never seen such rudeness.
And the signs that they were holding are the same exact signs I saw Pagettysburg.
So I mean, I think they're being paid to be there.
I really do.
Listen, I I uh welcome to my world.
I've dealt with this a lot.
I dealt with it a lot more when I was in New York, unfortunately.
Uh, because I don't want to put myself and people I love in that situation.
Frankly, I don't care.
I don't mind confrontation, never have my entire life.
Uh however, it's not fair to friends, family, uh, co-workers, people that I care about.
I don't want to put them in this situation.
Uh, but I deal with these idiots all the time.
And you see how vicious and violent and horrific the left has become.
You know, they praise Luigi Manioni.
I I can't expla uh explain that obsession.
You heard a Taylor Lorenz earlier uh or over the weekend, I saw it online somewhere.
Uh, and justifying this is the guy that murdered the United Healthcare CEO.
Uh we see what they've been doing at Tesla dealerships, firing bullets into those dealerships and firebombing cars and charging stations and calls for assassination of Elon Musk.
Uh, we watched this weekend in horror, uh, even though he's a democratic governor.
This is absolute evil and it's domestic terrorism, and what they did to Josh Shapiro's house is appalling and and sick and evil, and all of this is related to the Democratic Party has embraced this this radical pro Hamas wing in their party and are unwilling to speak out against it.
It's it and I I I mean, I feel terrible for his family.
But at some point I hope he comes out very publicly and says the squad members that have been virulently anti-Semitic and the other Democrats that have remained silent and those that have remained silent about the domestic terrorism on Elon Musk, those that praise Luigi Manioni need to stop.
Anyway, my friend, appreciate the call.
Penny Utah next Sean Hannity Show.
What's up, Penny?
How are you?
I'm great, Sean, and I just want to tell you that I am grateful for you and for your shows.
And you just stay in there.
I was calling also now.
I told you how great I thought you were, but when you were Oh boy, whenever whenever the butt comes, here comes the criticism.
Go ahead, have at it.
Criticism, you got it, brother.
Okay.
Linda names her cars.
She is not the only one.
I have always named my cars.
What's the name?
What's the name of your car?
You give your car a name.
I think that is the most strange, weird, bizarre thing I've ever heard of my life.
What am I supposed to name my new Tesla?
Charlie?
Molly.
No, Molly the Mercedes.
Molly, your Mercedes.
So your car is Molly.
Linda, what's the name of your your that the piece of crap that you drive?
Susie the Jeep.
I like it.
Susie the Jeep.
Susie the Jeep.
Why do you name it Sean's the the Jeep?
Why don't you name it after me?
Well, listen, when I pound that beeping, you know, and I smash that steering.
That's true.
Road raid Sean.
Here we go.
No thanks.
I don't want to be associated with it.
Exactly.
Oh, it's great.
It's great.
Okay, you're both no don't take this personally.
This is not to meant to be an insult, although it's gonna sound like it.
You two are weirdos.
You should screen the lines.
I'm telling you.
Screen the lines for a couple days, and you're gonna see how many people.
So I had some, Penny, we're going to come right back to you.
Stay right there.
I just have a quick question.
Travis in Nebraska.
Travis, do you have a name?
Do you name your car?
I was just gonna say yes.
I got five names for my different cars I drive.
What's the name of your car?
91 Montane is little red.
My 1990 F 250 is cruiser.
We got Betty White as the mini van.
All right.
I I I got it.
All right, Travis, stay there.
Although I feel like hanging up on you.
Uh Dave in Florida.
Dave, do you name your car?
No, I do not.
Thank you.
A normal person.
Robert in Oklahoma, do you name your car?
No, but I do have a handle because I'm a truck driver, but I do not name my cars.
All right.
Thank you.
You're a truck driver, and and he has a handle means, you know, break or breaker.
This is so and so.
That's normal.
All right.
So I win.
Yeah, what's your handle, Robert?
That's a good question.
What's your handle?
It's called seat cover chaser.
What's that?
That's just as bad as Susie.
No, it's not.
He's not naming his rig.
He's not naming his cars.
He's named.
I would say based on our little unscientific poll, I think I win.
You definitely don't win.
It's five calls.
It is definitely unscientific.
I agree.
Definitely is.
Oh, I can't really disagree with that truth.
Um all right, Penny.
Good luck.
Tell Susie we said hello.
Tell Molly, we said hello.
Mala Molly, Susie, what's it whatever.
I mean.
What do you do?
Do you go and and and give Ma Molly and Susie, you know, a nice one.
I gotta tell you.
You're gonna love Coco.
No, I give her some more.
That's what she wants.
Get into the covers.
We have some hot cocoa.
Gross.
Andy.
It's a good thing.
I had a guy hit me on it.
The whole world should be.
You're so crazy.
And he sent me a picture of his tractor.
And he said, Don't worry, Linda.
We don't just name our his name is Rick Klim.
And he says, What about the farmers that name their tractors?
We call this one Big Whitey, and it's a ginormous tractor.
And he sent me a picture.
It's a styrocole.
Okay.
I can't handle this.
Travis in Nebraska.
Travis, you're on the Sean Hannity show.
Thanks for having me on, Sean.
It's a privilege and an honor.
Um just wanted to talk about uh I'm I'm just really grateful having President Trump be back in with uh Pete Hakes as the uh Secretary of Defense.
Um I I was part of that whole uh COVID jab.
They were trying to get me kicked out.
I bought it to the very end, which uh was a very stressful situation because I was gonna lose my full-time position at out at the air guard.
And uh it it happened right after I got back from my deployment in Afghanistan in 2020.
I was over there in Kandahar trying to help close that base down because they closed uh Kandahar and uh oh I can't remember the other name of that air base that they closed over on the other side of Afghanistan, but it was our two last bases, and then uh got back and then uh all the letters came out said you guys gotta take this experimental uh I guess you they they want to call it a vaccine.
I don't necessarily sure that's what we could call it, but and then uh I just had convictions about it and the Lord convicted me about it and uh so I thought it out to the end, but a lot of people did it, and then a lot of people ended up getting out because of it.
Well, I I've I'm gonna tell uh you're gonna go back in.
How many how much time did you have in?
Because you need 20, I guess, to get your pension, right?
Well, so I'm in the guard, so um at this point I have 18 years of total service.
